AWESOME Food! AWESOME Service! Asparagus is an AWESOME Restaurant! I will definitely be going back! Myself and 5 others went Sunday 11/3/24 at 1pm ish. We had the egg roll platter which was great! My favorites were the chicken egg roll, avocado egg roll and asparagus cheese and bacon egg roll. I had the garlic chicken and vegetables, that came with white rice. It was excellent. I also tried the chicken fried rice and beef fried rice and both were great! I also tried the Chicken Pad Thai and I think that was my favorite! The amount of food you get for the price is worth it. I have enough leftovers for 2 days!!!

The Tom Yum soup was a delightful balance of sweet, sour, and spicy, while the rest of the dishes like Sea bass, red snapper, seafood crispy rolls, asparagus salad, lemongrass beef appetizer, baked oysters, and ribs had just the right amount of spice to tantalize our taste buds. Don't miss out on their Thai iced tea and special bread pudding for dessert - it's heavenly! Asparagus has definitely become our go-to spot for Asian fusion cuisine. Five stars all the way!

I came here to celebrate my sister’s birthday. It’s about an hour drive from the Chicago area. Parking was spacious. It’s an upscale Asian restaurant so yes you’ll see some items are overpriced compared to the prices at regular Chinese restaurants. We ordered 3 appetizers - seafood rolls, duo cargot, young mountain lamb chops. We ordered 2 entrees - “to die for” pork shank and signature delight. Overall 3.5/5. One time is enough. Service was mid.

-seafood rolls ⅗ - while it is very tasty and crispy, $14 doesn’t justify 4 small pieces. For the price you should be able to have 6-8 on the plate.
-duo cargot 4/5 - I did enjoy the sauce, shrimp, and escargot on top of the bread. It was delicious. There should be another piece of bread on the plate.
-young mountain lamb ⅖ - this is not worth $22. Pieces are too small and it could have been tender. You need to cook lamb medium rare, this was about medium.
-“to die for” pork shank 5/5 - pork belly, pork shank, and egg are cooked beautifully. Taste was phenomenal. Meat was succulent especially when you get further into the pork shank. Taste great with rice. Portion was big
-signature delight 5/5 - huge portion for $60. Lobster tail, sea scallops, and shrimp were all present in the dish. Vegetables were fresh and well seasoned.

Everything looked fantastic, it was too difficult to make a decision for the meal. We started with the rolls, which are egg rolls not sushi, we did the Crab and cream cheese one that the server suggested and it was fantastic. They have a sampler of them that is 38 bucks but could feed 6 to 8 people as an app. There were so many things anyone could be happy. I had the garlicky pepper pork and my wife had the pineapple curry shrimp. They were both really good. The curry was so amazing, I could drink the "curry" or soup or whatever, that's how great it was. The garlicky pepper pork, or peppery garlic pork I forget, was REALLY good, too much bacon for me honestly but the pork was perfect. We also ordered the Tiramisu for dessert, and it is more like a cake honestly. We will be back to fun through this very deep menu.

We've loved this place for years, but the last two times have been expensive and mediocre. The waiter spilled soup all over and didn't replace it. In the spilling process he stuck his thumb in it. The soup wasn't mine and the person who ordered it didn't have it replaced because we were in a hurry. Some of the food was cold. The waiter couldn't remember who ordered what.

It is a Thai food restaurant. We have our office Christmas party there. Staff is very attentive. Thai food does not agree with me, but my colleagues really like it.

It was my mom’s birthday AGAIN….and she wanted Thai food AGAIN. I swear it was the same thing last year except this time I picked the food up. I ordered our food at 5pm to pick it up at 6:30pm. Sounds like a good idea right? The girl that took my order and was there when I picked my order up was great…..very friendly and helpful. I ordered spring rolls, coconut soup with shrimp and the satay platter. The spring rolls barely had anything in them and I really couldn’t find them under the pound of shredded carrots. They were dry and pretty much tasteless. The coconut soup had absolutely no taste of coconut whatsoever. The satay platter had dry chicken, no flavor scallops, tough beef and good lamb chops. I have been going here for years after finding Siam Marina in Calumet City. It is sad that for the past 2 years my mom has had disappointing food for her birthday. The food was also cold, not even warm, and I only live about 3 minutes away. I’m not sure if they made the food when I called and just let it sit there or what. Last year their excuse was they were having a party and were overwhelmed. This year, who knows. But I know for sure that the hundred plus dollar tab is definitely my last one. Last year, shame on you and this year, shame on me for trying again. Happy birthday to my mom.

Tom yum soup was terrible. A very thin broth with very few vegetables, and did not come with a side of rice. To top it all off, I got food poisoning from it. I’ve been throwing up for days since I ate there.

Everything was really good. Seemed like something a bit sketchy was going on in the next dining room. When one of our party asked someone in the public hallway what it was, the reply was "my business". Weird.

I absolutely love Thai food. However the authentic flavors were not present at Asparagus. It seemed Americanized, like the chef was trying to mimic authentic Thai food and just missed the bar. Also, the spices and ingredients used did not mesh well. I came with a party of 3 and we all felt the same.

A nice Asian fine dining option in NW Indiana. Food was good and service was amazing. I went in for lunch and shared the pho and a noodle dish with my friend. They split the order into two bowls/plates for us. Portion was generous. We both had leftovers for dinner.

This was one of my favorite restaurants for over 15 yrs but the waiter kim is a horrible rude racist angry and unprofessional waitress that really need to be fired or retrained! I requested a manager or supervisor after she argued with me about an order and got quite spicy about what i get specifically the same way each time i come. Stormed off making rude remarks! She told me no one was there she was the only person working the floor until later on and she could remake my order. This is not the first time this waitress has tampered with my food. The last time she claimed it was a mistake a mix up. Kinda weird to have the same mix up and then get hostile when pointed out. I ended up calling Tammy the owner while I was there who told me the manager was indeed there and she would make sure she came out to resolve the issue she didn't understand why kim lied. The manager then came out and apologized for kim a grown woman. My food was tampered with again and the only time it happens is when kim has to wait on me. I was going weekly. Now I have to find a new place to go. Smh. The manager claimed she had a talk with her the last time it happened and that she would just make sure I got a different waiter but at that point I didn't trust eating anything there. I was still charged for the soup not realizing until I got home I took care of the full check for my table. Be careful eating out.

My wife and I love this place. They have a plethora of gluten free options which is great for my wife. We usually eat in the bar, we like the atmosphere better than the dining area. The food, drinks and desserts are always good. The service is always top notch. It's a little pricy for us however always worth it. I highly recommend!

This is my absolute go to when in Merrillville. Huge servings and so many items can be made Vegan. I had enough leftovers for dinner the same evening. Highly recommend the garlic mushroom dish, avocado rolls and basil tofu stir fry. Curries are delicious too. Really a gem in NW Indiana.

Been coming here & to their sister restaurant Siam Marina for years now. Typically enjoy everything I’ve never complained, & food is usually very consistent, even if prices are somewhat high for what you receive. A big issue this last time was ordering online & choosing “not spicy” as an option for chicken Pad Thai. Unfortunately I arrived home & there was ZERO tamarind sauce on my Pad Thai. I was annoyed as it’s not a cheap dish & the chicken had absolutely no seasoning, it was tough & rubbery as if it had simply been boiled. I thought it was an unusual mistake, but the employee I spoke with stated that unfortunately that’s what happens when you order an Entree “not spicy”, it essentially means plain with no flavor or sauce. Honestly, I’ve always ordered their Pad Thai “not spicy” in person & it just means they prepared it mild. Well, the employee stated it was somewhat of a common complaint & that they should probably change the wording online, she took my contact info & mentioned a refund or credit was appropriate & she would have a manager contact me. Honestly, I felt a credit was in order, because I couldn’t eat it, & it was over twenty dollars. I would have just spent at least 80 again anyway. I’m not out for free items from a small business, but it in this case, I actually felt they should make it right. However, no one ever called me. So the lesson is be very careful ordering online, as there will be no recourse for any poorly worded menu items that are too unpalatable to eat.

An Asian Fusion Fine Dining experience in NWI!!

Foot and service are always great. A bit pricy but not all that bad considering the quality of the food and good sized portions.

This place used to be my go to for Thai around this area. First had it when it was Siam Marina in River Oaks. Pretty close to downtown Chicago quality Thai. Over the last year, the food has gone down in quality and authenticity though. The noodle dishes have been overcooked, the chicken hasn't tasted as good and overall just doesn't have the Thai authenticity. I got the shaking beef salad today and it was served in a sauce with green peppers and was definitely more like pepper steak than shaking beef. Guess I'll just have to save my Thai cravings for when I can make it to Star of Siam or Tipparos in the city.

On a positive note, the portions are pretty generous and service is good. The food, however, lacked authenticity...raisins in the plum sauce, no crushed peanuts or lime served with pad thai and some random sweet red sauce they served with every appetizer and smothered over several entrees. The flavors in their food are pretty one note and lack the balance of sour, salty, sweet, bitter, and spicy that Asian food is known for. The chicken in my noodle dish was dry and flavorless, but I got plenty of it. An entree, appetizer, and dessert was $55.

I guess they don’t care about online orders. I ordered pho through uber eats. When I tried to eat it was so salty it was impossible to eat plus meat smelled weird. i called them and they said all they can do is credit me. But they know I would never be able to go there. So I throw it away and wasted $30. Seems like no one wants to do their job properly anymore. Don’t order online from them I guess becous all you get is warm salty water

Brought my parents for nice dinner. The waiter I had he was keep checking our table couple times.
The thing is we were just enjoying our food however he made us feel we should get out of the restaurant as soon as possible right after we finish our meal. jeez leave us alone don’t rush us out? was not even close to closing hours.

We walk into this place in Merriville, Indiana with the expectations. They’re not too high because we were in Maryville, Indiana and most likely the change restaurants around this area. We don’t speak much about this place but our surprise was an excellent flavors. Very fresh service very attended restaurant very clean And everything every single dish that we order it was fresh quantity perfect And most say anything the flavors of the food was not salty not overpowered the sauces and very fresh seafood and definitely definitely. My impression was unbelievable. Good food good service not what you expecting to file and a little town in Indiana the unrecommended give it a chance and you’re not gonna be disappointed. And also we order for the shirt, the cake the Keven , the waiter recommended hummingbird and it was delicious. Very good and remember for you coming to this place. Ask for Keven is very good attending waiter very nice and very explain about the service

This is a hidden gem in NW Indiana. Servings are huge and they have something for everyone. The avocado rolls are delicious and they have tofu as a protein for just about every dish. They are very knowledgeable on dietary restrictions and will adjust any dishes by request.

Chicago prices in Merrillville ..food is tasty but you get a lot of vegetables instead of the meat you order…they cut up the appetizers to make it look like it’s a lot when its basically 2 egg rolls… service was OK not Great…didn’t think it was worth what I paid for…

Never once have I been disappointed with my visits to Asparagus. We've been going to Asparagus for a few years now and the quality just keeps coming. Although my significant other is stuck in their ways and orders the same thing every time, I like to keep things interesting and order something new almost every visit. Whether appetizers, main entree, desserts, or drinks, everything has been "top shelf quality." Keep up the exceptional results!

Great quality food and huge portions.

I've never had a bad meal at Asparagus. The Mossomon curry and the Banana Duck curry are both the perfect combination of spicy and sweet, and most dishes are not just delicious but also served in large portions. The martini list is also filled with tasty combinations and many exotic ingredients. I love to sit at the bar, have a drink and an appetizer, and just relax.

Best restaurant in NWI! The martinis are amazing. The grand Marnier beef stew exquisite. Delicious young mountain lamb and Wasabi crusted lam. Good pad Thai and pho. Tirimisu to die for. Love this place for great dated.

I've been going here for yrs. It's has a nice ambience, but the food is lacking. You guys charged $50 for lamb chops for mothers day but it's listed on line for $45. U could at least serve it with vegetables! Drink combinations are not well thought out or balanced. Why would u have a drink with lemon vodka with lemon cello & fresh lemon. Thats just one example of how drinks are made with the same flavor & no depth or complexity of flavors, but most of the drinks have a repeated flavor, instead of building/adding other flavors.

It's hard to critique a restaurant in NWI because there's nothing here & I'd rather not go to Chicago. I've felt this way for yrs but what really made me want to a negative review is the $50 lamb chop with no veggies & the presentation was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. It tasted good, but please consider revamping ur menu, at least for the regulars who have been coming for yrs.

Food was fancy and delicious. Fresh ingredients, flavors were very balanced, and presentation beautiful!! Atmosphere very classy (great for date night) and service was 100%. Will definitely be back.

Disappointed in the food. Appetizers cream cheese and crab crispy spring rolls and chicken satay, very good. Main entree salmon, noodles and flank steak. The salmon was really fishy the noodles were good, but presentation was not. The flank steak laid on mashed potatoes and topped with mushrooms were good, but it was drowned in a SWEET sauce which over powered the whole dish, I would order again and ask for no sauce. Andrew the waiter was very good LOVED him. The Martinis were on point. We will return for the drinks and Andrew for sure.

What happened to my favorite restaurant? I've been dining at Asparagus for over a decade, I was always impressed with the quality of the food, clean pristine atmosphere, white linen table cloths and impeccable service. It was always a fine dining experience right here in Merrillville. After the water damage, things have really changed. For example, recently we encountered dried vomit near the entrance. That was very disturbing. Our experience with the wait staff also changed considerably. We were accustomed to the professionalism that was common with every visit. Our waitress was curt, impatient and borderline rude. I can't recall every feeling that disappointed after dining there. 😕 Asparagus was my "go to" restaurant and I rated it first in the area. After our last visit I will consider dining elsewhere.

Regular customer several times a year, but haven’t gone there in awhile. Vibe in lounge always had a nice refined feel and atmosphere. This last Friday we were very disappointed. Patrons yelling across the dining room to others at bar and between tables, etc. Background music is ok music but not appropriate for a nice upscale restaurant. Not the date night place I remember. We may stick to takeout in the future. We noticed attendance was low for a Friday as well.

Great atmosphere. We sat at a hi-top in the bar area. The waiter was very knowledgeable and fun. He suggested a good bottle of red wine which worked perfectly with our meals. I had the pork shank & it was awesome. I suggest ordering a side as it's a la carte.

This was my 3rd time coming. The first 2 were office holiday parties and last weekend was a date night with my hubby. The food was great, great service and great ambiance!! We will definitely be back again!!

Local favorite! One of few places in the area with pho, but everything on the menu is pretty amazing!

This was my first time here. I tried the crazy noodles which were great as well as the catfish curry and a side of spring rolls. I thought the fish was a tad bit dry and chewy but the curry sauce it was sautéed in was rich and delicious. The spring noodles were filled with avocado. I would have prefered a few more fresh vegetables but still tasty, although a little on the pricey side.

I best dmfeiend took me for my birthday the food was delicious, the service was great and ambiance was wonderful . The chocolate cake was fabulous. Top stars

Always a great experience! Food menu is extensive and I have never had a bad or even "just ok" dish. Ingredients are fresh and bursting with flavor! The cocktail menu is a book filled with mouthwatering martinis. My personal favorite is the lychee martini. Waitstaff is always attentive and knowledgeable. Can't say enough about this place! 10/10

Our experience was amazing! As we were sitting at the table we made reservations for the following week because you wanted to come back and try another dish! The dining room is a little loud but it's still a wonderful atmosphere. As my husband and I finished our meal we both looked at each other and just said "What just happened?! That was incredible!" Highly recommend the Pad Thai!

I have gone to this restaurant several times. The service in the beginning was amazing, food was good. My most recent visits, can’t say the same, either no one was at the podium to greet & I waited an extended amount of time, times no one didn’t answer phone, & did not get the order correct. Ok, I didn’t visit the restaurant for months. Went back today, a lonnnggg piece of hair was in one order and the other order had eggs in it when I requested differently. This is not the 1st time I requested no eggs and they gave. So please, please check your food if you are gonna eat here or continue to eat at Asparagus.

Very Delicious food and outstanding service!!! Unfortunately, too cost prohibiting to do anything more than experience once. Not saying it’s not worth it if you make more than $200,000.00 a year.

We arrived at 9:30pm tonight there and the rood little troll hostess tells us as she was seating us we have 5 minutes to order even though they close at 10:30pm. If your not going to honor your guest and your going to allow employees to treat customers like that your restaurant is definitely going to struggle as well if that’s your hours the on Google need to be changed so people are aware instead of your host being rood like that!!!

I went to Asparagus for my Valentine's Day date the Friday before the 14th to avoid a big crowd. They did have the place nicely decorated for the holiday! Their year-round decor is especially beautiful. Asparagus is a asian-french restaraunt and their nice collection of decor lives up to that. Great atmosphere, the candle lit dinner was great. The food ordered came out at lightning speed! I was shocked, I've never had food come out that fast before! Our server Andrew did a great job, give him a raise!

Now, onto the food itself. Don't be deterred by the prices, the majority of the menu has HUGE serving sizes! I ate my bowl of Pho until I was full and still had enough leftover for another full bowl when I got home! The food is generally priced fairly considering the amount you get, well worth it! The vegetables added to the Pho were perfect and the broth was the best party, VERY flavorful! The only negative thing about Asparagus is surprisingly that meat is not their strong suit. In terms of meat I only tried their chicken and pork so maybe the other meats are better? The chicken in the Pho was very bland, unflavored, and unseasoned. I also tried their Sesame Chicken Stir Fry and the chicken wasn't the best however the vegetables were very yummy! The Pork Meatballs were just ok, nothing to die for. I'd suggest choosing something else. I really loved the Chicken Egg Rolls. I like that they cut them at an angle. The sauce provided really leveled them up. The desserts really stood out! You MUST try their Truffle Chocolate Eggrolls!!! I've never seen this done before and it was sooooooo yummy!!! Also cut in a slant. I should also mention that their plating skills are excellent! My fiancé got the Double Chocolate Cake. It's HUGE and has very rich delicious chocolate. Just a heads up though, it does contain nuts! For drinks I ordered a couple mocktails, the Baby Berry Mule and the Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri. I suggest ordering light ice for the Mule. At the end of the night we were gifted Jasmine Tea in honor of Chinese New Year, how nice!

Overall I highly recommend this restaurant. The best way to spend time here would be by having a romantic dinner date or, even better, a lunch with friends! Due to their large serving sizes you could all order something and share a bit so you could try many things on the menu. The rating could easily be bumped up if they worked on their meats a bit! Don't let this deter you from going, they have plenty of delicious dishes without meat on their menu, too!

Despite the name, it is my favorite Thai / Asian fusion restaurant. I first dined here in 2019 when it went by the name Siam Marina. Historically, I have not been a huge fan of Thai cuz some of the sauces are too much for my midwest palette (and system).

Tonite, I started with a "small plate" of the Spicy lemongrass beef. Wow... so delicious. The sauce on the meat actually tasted like a sweet barbeque sauce... and then the "asparagus logo shaped" drizzle on the plate is a dijon sauce (which mostly ended on my spring mix salad).

Then, the main course... the Bangkok baby back ribs. WOW! I dont usually get ribs because i dont like all the mess. However, Katie the manager had advised me that the ribs were one of their most beloved menu items. The sesame/ginger/?? sauce did NOT disappoint. You can see that I cleaned the bones on that first half rack. In case you are wondering, there are no leftover... i just stopped taking photos once i was covered in sauce! Not to worrry, Katie and Kim brought me a couple of hot/wet naps to clean up (both before and after!)

So....if you find yourself on US 30, right around US41/I65 Merrillville... .stop on in to Asparagus! (And NO, you dont have to eat that pile of veggies here either !!)

Stopped in to support as we saw on social media they had damage from the polar vortex. Sat at the bar, on a Saturday afternoon, had a few martinis, which were generous and delicious, and a handful of appetizers, each was more delicious than the last. The bartenders were very friendly, I highly recommend coming here for delicious drinks and food!!

Server today was awesome! So attentive! ♥️ really served us well, made my kids feel special.

My husband and I have been going here for nearly 15 years. We love the food and drinks.

The place was pretty empty but I waited a long time before being seated. There was no one at the hostess desk or the bar. I finally was seated and waited again for a long time to get a server. I had to find the busser and ask for my server. Not sure if someone called off or what but even waited to receive my check a long time. Please do better.

The fried rice is amazing!!! Alejandro was very patient and kind. Server worthy! He deserves a promotion.

Great food and atmosphere

With things being the way they are nowadays no one can find enough help but the food is sure fabulous here.

Very good food. It is an Asian inspired menu. For me and my wife, over $100.00. Bill, so a little pricey but enjoyed and will go back.

We heard lots of hype on this restaurant and had great expectations. We were disappointed. The service was very good but the food was just average. The appetizers were good ( Vietnamese roll and meatballs). The main dish I had was very spicy but the menu didn’t state that. My martini was good, but I’ve had better. We thought for the money it was over rated.

TL;DR: overall enjoyable experience, I personally could have done with less sauce on the small plates but now I know for next time!

I had been looking forward to trying Asparagus for a while and was very excited to try everything! We opted to have a cocktail (hibiscus margarita, irish mule) and share a few small plates in house and then ordered our entrees to go to have for lunch the next day. I totally forgot to take pictures of anything but here's what we had:

Small Plates - Asparagus salad, Bangkok baby back ribs, spicy lemongrass beef and the Ahi appetizer. Of these, the ribs were the favorite, followed closely by the beef. Unfortunately, the ahi was basically inedible for us as it was drenched in wasabi. The salad was also overly saucy in my opinion which did detract from the experience, but minimally.

Entrees- I got the spicy baked salmon and my boyfriend ordered the saffron scallops. The portions were HUGE! The salmon was wonderful, even eaten as leftovers and I can imagine it would've been even better in house. My only comment would be that I wished it was a little bit spicier. The scallops were also wonderful!

Overall, a pretty good experience! I will definitely be back sometime.

Went in for the first time with my wife and 4 kids. Tried quite variety of foods and was happy with most dishes. The small plates FYI are small and don't seem to match up with prices IMO. The main dishes are a great size and seem very worth the price.

Servie was great from Shannon and she was wonderful with my three young kids. We didnt change anything up for the kids as they eat what we eat but she offered a few options for kids. They all loved it. My issue with the service came on the bill when I was charged 20% for having a group of 6 when 4 were kids and three under the age of 6. It is what is but this won't have me back in as this isn't a practice I support especially at 20%. My server was excellent and I did add an extra 5 percent on top of the 20% but I'm not comfortable with this practice and had service been not been top notch I would have been upset.

My final bill with the tip was 280.00 and we left with another round of food with leftovers. We also had one one bar drink, 4 kitty cocktails and one dessert.

Will do takeout next time we have a taste for Thai food or explore other options.

I have dined at Asparagus many times . The food is always delicious but the service has really gone down hill and is sub par. I was so disappointed when I dined there this evening with my family . There were 4 of us and a child . A 20% gratuity was added on for party of 5 . They actually added 20% tip for a to go order . The service was terrible as the waitress delivered our food and never returned to our table to check on our dinner or pull our plates. Her reply, she was busy . I won’t be returning and really couldn’t be more disappointed in their new policies. Would not recommend this restaurant.

This is a great place to dine. The food is really good! Great staff. The dinning area was a little small, but still nice! The food was really flavorful and came rather quickly. I will definitely be going back!

We went there for a Christmas party, so everything was paid for, but service was 100/100, and 1 waiter deserves a raise because he did absolutely amazing

I came here to celebrate my sister’s birthday. It’s about an hour drive from the Chicago area. Parking was spacious. It’s an upscale Asian restaurant so yes you’ll see some items are overpriced compared to the prices at regular Chinese restaurants. We ordered 3 appetizers - seafood rolls, duo cargot, young mountain lamb chops. We ordered 2 entrees - “to die for” pork shank and signature delight. Overall 3.5/5. One time is enough. Service was mid.

-seafood rolls ⅗ - while it is very tasty and crispy, $14 doesn’t justify 4 small pieces. For the price you should be able to have 6-8 on the plate.
-duo cargot 4/5 - I did enjoy the sauce, shrimp, and escargot on top of the bread. It was delicious. There should be another piece of bread on the plate.
-young mountain lamb ⅖ - this is not worth $22. Pieces are too small and it could have been tender. You need to cook lamb medium rare, this was about medium.
-“to die for” pork shank 5/5 - pork belly, pork shank, and egg are cooked beautifully. Taste was phenomenal. Meat was succulent especially when you get further into the pork shank. Taste great with rice. Portion was big
-signature delight 5/5 - huge portion for $60. Lobster tail, sea scallops, and shrimp were all present in the dish. Vegetables were fresh and well seasoned.

Our server was great. The place is beyond beautiful and comfy

Asparagus is a gem for its wonderful Asian cuisine, cocktails, and the setting (hint: sit in the room where the bar is).

Mattie was so well versed in bartending. She's so humble. Sam/Tammy/ and TT you have done well. She's holding it down. Keep going baby girl.

Food was delicious

Everything looked fantastic, it was too difficult to make a decision for the meal. We started with the rolls, which are egg rolls not sushi, we did the Crab and cream cheese one that the server suggested and it was fantastic. They have a sampler of them that is 38 bucks but could feed 6 to 8 people as an app. There were so many things anyone could be happy. I had the garlicky pepper pork and my wife had the pineapple curry shrimp. They were both really good. The curry was so amazing, I could drink the "curry" or soup or whatever, that's how great it was. The garlicky pepper pork, or peppery garlic pork I forget, was REALLY good, too much bacon for me honestly but the pork was perfect. We also ordered the Tiramisu for dessert, and it is more like a cake honestly. We will be back to fun through this very deep menu.

The food here is always amazing. The Bangkock ribs are wonderful. Drinks are very tasty as well. A must try if you are in the Merrillville area.

Excellent food and service. Honestly this is my favorite Thai food in the region and maybe if all time. My bar is set by the Pad Thai from a restaurant and Asparagus nails it. The flavors, the consistency of the noodles and the beef portion are perfect. Not to mention the staff here is always friendly and great. Kate is one of our favorite waitresses of any restaurant we’ve ever been to. If you ever have the fortune of her service you’ll understand why I say this. This restaurant is a must in NWI.

Food was way over priced for the taste. Nothing special the appetizer definitely tasted as tho it had come out of a freezer and then heated up. Atmosphere was pretty cool but felt cramped, felt like everyone was trying to talk over one another which just seemed like noise reminded me of a high-school cafeteria. Best thing about this place was service, our waitress seemed firm, attentive and nice and the portions were good.

Food was good minus my overcooked lobster. Service is horrible. Our waitress never checked on us or offered us refills or more drinks. We even had to go ask about our check after waiting 10 to 15 minutes after we were done eating. My husband stopped eating because the food was too Salty to eat without a beverage. This is the second time we've been here and after a sub par anniversary dinner we won't be back. You need to train your wait staff on proper etiquette when caring for a guest, I've had better service at Outback and Red Lobster. If you do have the misfortune of dining here please ask for a different server besides Maddy. Atrocious is being generous when describing her waiting skills and etiquette. I'm just sorry my husband didn't ask for a manager.

The food options and considerably versatile menu is fabulous! The service is somewhat lacking. Not a very culturally diverse crowd, nor staff, so a little d & I is needed here. I attended an event. Stepped out of event to place my to-go order. Was charged a 20%additional gratuity fee because I was an attendee of an event. Now, font misunderstand, I always tip well, especially due to what we see is lacking in our service industry, but to FORCE customers to pay (not even 18%, which is standard), but 20%, for even being in the building, I would have probably tipped more if the service was better, leading to that 20%, but dont FORCE people to pay that! It isn't fair! I should have just canceled the to go order. This practice Is extreme, and even after asking, my server nor the manager neither would rectify this. Do better Aspragus owners! Times aren't that tough anymore, and judging from the PACKED event and FULLY booked house, you're not hurting for service cash! And clearly you have rebounded through a global health crisis.. so DONT GOUGE customers who supported you! I attended an event there, so my food order was extra, but I probably WON'T be back, Food was tasty, but it was distasteful what you did, and how you handled my concern. ASPARAGUS SUPPORTERS BEWARE OF THESE TYPES OF PRACTICES! Do Better for your customers and staff!

Bar is as pretty as any room in the area. Food is always good and drinks are well made. I visited this location again and all the above is true. However, one of the waiters working another table was wearing so much cologne my food tasted like his Cologne... Wait staff smell shouldn't compete with the food. Would have stayed longer but was literally coughing up the smell. Try shower not cologne bath

The food is usually really good but when you do carry out be careful they never put everything in the bag you always need to check.

Went for a quick meal before a Halloween party and had an amazing meal of Tom Yum soup and Red Curry! Service was immaculate, fast and attentive and as always the food was top notch.

Food was amazing 😋 our server David was very friendly, great since of humor and gave us great recommendations on the food choices. The chiefs had our food our in a Timely matter. We were seated immediately. Checked on frequently. The restaurant where is very clean and welcoming 😍 We will definitely be back. Everything my husband and I ordered was delicious. Chicken fried rice, seafood egg rolls , hot wings, and the pineapple shrimp fried rice. The portions are hugeeeee , you will for sure have leftovers.
