Had to work up in Kokomo and decided to try some Thai food for the first time. Asked for recommendations and she helped me pick out 2 orders. The food was better than I thought it was going to be. Very filling. I also tried the Thai tea and it was delicious as well. Nothing special on the looks of the place but it serves its purpose. I would definitely come back if I was in town to try something new. Worth a visit!

I recommend checking out another restaurant to save yourself some troubles..

It's very obvious they take pride in their restaurant! Our server was very sweet. Our food was the perfect temperature and the perfect spice level. Amazing quantity and quality for the price! We will definitely be back (also look at the photo of the cute heart shaped rice!!!)

As for the food, you won't find these flavor combinations elsewhere in the city. The food can be made spicy for you adventurous types, or mild for those that just want the in-depth flavor. I'm a big fan of the veggies! They also have a unique Crab Rangoon that is worth trying. This could easily become one of your weekly lunch spots, or your dinner go-to when you want to go out. It sure has been that for our family!

Good came out fairly quickly for how busy they were. Good presentation and it tasted great. The sauce was very good. Noodles were cooked perfectly. Could have used more green onion. Spice level was adequate. Really liked the dish and a fair price. I will be back next time Im in the area. Only con was the lack of Tom yum soup.

I did not like the Chicken Pad Thai here at all. It was overcooked so the noodles were basically mush, had only a very small amount of chicken in it, and it was almost completely devoid of flavor.

The food is great; the service is fine. HOWEVER, they were closed four out of the five times I went; despite their POSTED hours stating they should be open. Call before you go to make sure they are open.

Jay’s is not the best Thai food I have ever had however, it is consistently very good. The dining room is impeccably clean, and customer service is equally wonderful whether dining in or choosing to carry out. This is a standard go to for my family. I am thankful Kokomo has Jays Thai.

Very good food, fast service. The dining area could use a facelift, but the food makes up for it. Beef fried rice was tasty and some of the best spring rolls I have had. Wife loves the tofu fried rice and red curry. We will be back for sure!

This used to be my favorite place in Kokomo and when ownership and staff changed this past 6 months to a year it's slowly going downhill. The waitress with red highlights I had today was RUDE to my mom who asked for chicken in her lunch and the waitress told her that wasn't what she ordered and refused to correct it.
I was right there and that was one of many negative experiences I have had.
I may give it another shot in the future but for now I'll give my business elsewhere

This was my first experience having pad Thai and I thought it was excellent! Service was VERY quick and the wait staff were friendly. Portions were very healthy. I would definitely go again!.

The food was really good and the staff were pretty nice! I would for sure go back again! I had the red curry and then had some spicy fried beef rice to go!

I liked it!!! Not a large place but does have plenty of seating. The food is a totally amazing experience it's self. The atmosphere in this place is comfortable for anyone to sit down and enjoy a taste of paradise. Good prices and quick friendly service.

Food was very good

Pineapple fried rice was excellent, almost addicting. It had lots of pork in it. Could make 3 meals out of it, definitely 5 stars. Pud Thai was ok, very very very little meat in it. The noodles all stuck together in clumps. Then the noodles all broke apart with the slightest pull, making it hard to eat with anything other than a spoon.

Will go back for the Pineapple Fried Rice though.

Food is amazing!!! The Pud Thai or any of the stir fried noodle dishes are fantastic. The Chicken Fried rice, medium spicy is another favorite of mine. I have never had Thai food until trying this place. Every time I order, I am always amazed at how delicious it is.

Food was very tasty. Solid overall. It's a bit of a hole in the wall, and the bathrooms aren't the nicest. However, the food is the main attraction as it should be. Very happy to see the current owners displaying the restaurants roots via a wall decal. Staff was very courteous!

Authentic and delicious!!!!! A great place to go with a group of people for an inexpensive dinner. I’m taking a star away because during my visit they were out of meals that included beef or curry- sad face.

Good service, food was ok. It appears that some of the authentic flavors are not as prevalent as they were 5 to 6 years ago. Desparately miss the authentic, original flavors of Thailand. Pineapple fried rice is good, need more thai basil, Masaman Curry good, but, not much eggplant in dish as we previously experienced.

The Gai Pud Met Ma-Muang (Mild cashew chicken) and chai tea is the combination. The large portions are enough to eat for dinner AND still take some home for lunch tomorrow.

Ginger stir fry with chicken was excellent, pud thai with beef was ok, not one of the best dishes I've ever had, but was ok. Thai tea was very good, also had fried dumplings, they were very good... Sevice was quick to get our order, but it got really busy while we were there, and then service got slow. I would prolly order to go next time

I ordered a shrimp green curry.

The number on Google Maps sent me directly to voicemail. I wanted to place my order before I arrived.

The order was taken fast. The food was ready in a timely manner.

The taste of the food was good. However, the portion was small. It had 4 shrimp. In essence the soup was a vegetarian soup. The shrimp was 5% of the whole soup.

I had to order a torta from the Mexican restaurant next door to get some protein in my meal.

I don't recommend it at all. My order was to go, so I don't know if they used to serve more food when they offered dine-in.

It's a Thai family owned restaurant, so: Always good; always authentic. Rice noodles, fried rice, stir-fries, and curries. My wife always goes for the Cashew Chicken, mild. My son usually goes for the Chicken Red Curry, extra hot. The extra hot is impressive. I've had a few pork, chicken, and tofu dishes. Never disappointed. Wish they'd dice the tofu smaller though. We've never had the appetizers because the main dishes are huge. Take-home reheats well.

Excellent food!!! You can order the food mild, medium, or hot spiced. I seem sensitive to spices so had been ordering my food mild. I did decide to try the medium and found it more flavorful with no bite to it. I highly recommend this restaurant. Right now, you can order in person or by phone, but must carry out, no drive through. It's really a gem of a place!!!

Horrible experience 1st time I called in an order I was told 25 mins an hour later my food still wasnt ready..I got a refund & had to leave with no food & still starving to get back to work for my pay was already being docked..I gave a 2nd try this time my food was in a ripped bag no cardboard for support & more importantly they gave me no fork to eat with..I'll never go back

Ahhh...I hate to say it but Jay's Authentic Thai Cuisine has dropped the ball since I've first started eating there. Although most of the food still remains tasty...the overall choice of meals, atmosphere, cleanliness and service leaves one heavily wanting. It does however remain to be the go to spot for Thai food in the Kokomo area but if corrections are not made to fix the problems stated above, then the future of this once gem of a restaurant does not look good.

The food is made with culture, all seemed greater than Chinese kitchens with enhanced fused unique flavors that pass wow, "4 star" flavor with a low end brick and mortar. I feel this taste deserves quality setting.

I have eaten here numerous times now. I usually get the cashew chicken, one of their most popular dishes. I am never disappointed and always filled. Their Thai Chai is pretty amazing as well. The place is popular so sometimes it gets crowded but the staff always work their hardest to get you taken care of.

They couldn't even get an order of soup right. Being that I live out of town I didn't find out it was messed up until I got home. Really a disappointment. It was the first and last time I tried their food.

Disappointed. I've had decent dining experiences here in the past, but this evening was a lousy experience. Four of us went here for dinner. We ordered our meals (three fried rice meals and one order of Chicken Pad Thai). After 40 minutes the waitress brought out my Chicken Pad Thai and very politely told the three people there with me that they had no rice, and would they like to order something else. No, I didn't sit and eat my meal in front of the three people who had nothing to eat. We left hungry, tired, and confused as to why they waited 40 minutes to tell us that three of us weren't going to be getting our meals. There are too many good restaurants in town to put ourselves through that again. I'm not inclined to go back.
