Experience the true taste of Thai with our authentically made dishes. A cultural experience that will transport you from Indianapolis to Thailand! From our family, to yours.
Tried for the first time based on google reviews and the Chicken Pad Thai and Crab Rangoons were both delicious! Looking forward to ordering again and trying other items as well. I thought it was very reasonably priced and good quality.
Full disclosure I've only gotten carryout from here. I have been pleasantly surprised with every single order that I have made from this restaurant. My spring rolls are always hot and absolutely delicious. Honestly it tastes like the ingredients have never been frozen which is a detail I greatly appreciate. The fried rice tastes exactly like the fried rice from a place I used to go to called forbidden city on the west side. I've tried multiple items from the menu and everything is delicious but the coconut soup is my favorite. It seems like a very straightforward dish but a lot of people just get it wrong. And Thai Cafe gets it right every time.
We enjoyed our food and the variety. We got a lot rice and soup with our entrees. The dumplings came loaded! I loved the oysters/ mussels. No complaints about the food or price, just wasn’t as astonishing as other Thai places we have had. We will probably continue ordering since location and service is great!
Used to be my favorite Thai restaurant. But now the hours are unreliable. It says on the door that they're open until 8:30. It says on their website that they're open until 8:30. It says on Google that they are open until 8:30. But they are not open until 8:30. They close at, or actually before 8:00.
I brought friends from out of town here to eat. We were told that we could get carry out even though it was 7:30 when we arrived. We had driven from another neighborhood to have dinner there. Probably won't try again. Super disappointed.
We get takeout from here all the time & have eaten in a few times. It’s great for both because they’re quick & on the Monon for easy bike access, but on the inside it’s also cozy with friendly service & pretty decor.
I ordered carry out to eat at the hotel. It was very good and I’d definitely eat here again. I got an order of the spring rolls and the Spicy Bamboo (Pad Ped). I ordered the spicy bamboo Thai hot. I was expecting a good kick, but man this heat was beyond what I expected! However, even as hot as it was it still had great flavor!
👍
This is our favorite thai spot! Pad thai is always amazing- best in the area!!

The only reason its receiving a two is cause of customer service. Why did I find a dead roach in my drink? I opened my drink so i could munch on ice and i see a roach on the wall of my drink. I'm so mad right now

Massaman Curry and Panang Curry were amazing!! Highly recommended them
It was sooooooo good!!!
If u like spicey..its the best if u like..and I like! I could take it another notch or ten, but it's as close as I can get ANYWHERE!
I’m hooked on the basil fried rice.
After arriving on time to pick-up my dinner. Was asked if I minded waiting another 10 minutes as he “always” added 10 minutes for the pick-up. Then after waiting 15 minutes was told they had run out of the main ingredient of my dish so they could substitute another ingredient. I asked after waiting 40
minutes for an order I was originally told would take 25 minutes if they were discounting the dish they became very nasty on how dare I ask for a discount. They had accepted my oEder, asked me to wait 50% longer and then were flippant they didn’t have what I ordered and I should accept whatever they wanted to substitute. I had tipped 10% for basically no reason but guilt as they had done nothing for me. When I asked for a full refund they acted like I was wrong. They had 2 chances to say we are low on this ingredient- once when I order and another when I paid-and waited extra time. I did not ask for the entire meal to be comped - only the one dish they couldn’t filled. So I asked for a full refund and they lost $ . Their entire attitude was not acceptable. Then the WM behind me told me to get out of his way as he wanted to pick up his food while it was still hot. Fun night trying to support a local restaurant.
Love Thai cafe. Would have ate here tonight, but Cartana account doesn't work, trapped in infinite loop create account multiple times never worked.
My all time favorites Thai restaurant
Disappointed! Drunken noodle tasted like cheap lasagna noodles. A bowl full -lacking vegetables and chicken. Spice came correct but you could choke on the only vegetable I found-carrots. Crab ragoon was over fried but had good amount inside of the 5 pieces in an order.
#SpoiledbyBaanbistro
Sign said closes at 9pm walked in at 7:50 and was told we could not dine in because they were closing at 8:30 instead. Not even cool 40 minutes before they close and won’t accept a table.
Wonderful spot with friendly staff and amazing food!
Food is amazing!

So apparently some pretentious white boy decided to buy this company from authentic Asians and turn it into his watered down, Americanized version of Thai food. The noodles are NO LONGER hand made but store bought, the sauce is watered down, little to NO veggies in the vegetable pad Thai (which I always loved when they had authentic people cooking authentic food), and of course, little to NO seasoning at all- the staple of white people cooking!!!!!
Food is hit or miss here.
The drunken noodles were fantastic on my first visit. My second visit I got the Thai fresh roll and Vegetable delight. They were both extremely underwhelming. Also, the Thai fresh roll somehow tasted like air freshener so that was gross.
I ordered the Winter Shrimp and Garlic Pepper sauce dish; the shrimp were over-fried and latter bland. My one and only visit...save your $$.
Dinner was delicious.
Thom Yum never fails
Looking forward to another take out soon
Well, was not aware of new owners and was expecting two large containers of TomYum soup for my to go order to split with someone, but received only one quart. The flavor and volume of chicken was less than what I was used to, and the flavor was not as rich as I had cone to know. For the price it was average. Might return, but was used to previous menu and flavor.
Solid
They stopped being vegan friendly and now add fish sauce to all dishes. They didn't let me know when they changed recipes and ruined a whole meal for my vegan wife who has been ordering from them since 2010. I did not appreciate this change and did not enjoy my meal. We will not be ordering from them again.
New ownership has ruined this place. Food used to be tasty and well priced. Now it is over priced and completely bland. The fried rice dishes taste more like Indian food, and the noodle dishes are bland with overcooked proteins. Sad to see a great restaurant go down like this.
Lemon grass soup 😋 delicious!
Great lunch experience at a very reasonable price.
The food was one of the best Thai dishes (Pad Se Ew, ordered hot) I've ever had. I didn't feel like they skipped out on the spice at all which I've had problems with at several other Thai restaurants. This was by far the most amazing experience I've had getting Thai in my life. The atmosphere makes it easy and judgement-free to communicate and I felt very welcome and heard. Thank you so much to the younger guy (who I missed the name of) for your exceptional service. Between the amazing food, great service and lovely quiet atmosphere I can say with certainty that this is my new favorite Thai restaurant to date.
Good food under new management.
i loved this place & went up there very often, the spicy rice was PERFECT but when i went up there after the new owner has took over, i found out they changed the rice & it is DISGUSTING. i am so sad about it & probably will never be back.
Food and service are always both excellent. Highly recommend the drunken noodles!
Thai Cafe is a special place to stop for dinner. All of the food was delicious and even my kids enjoyed it. They asked to go back frequently. They will adjust the spice level of your dish so you can customize it.
Truly amazing Thai food cooked and served by the most pleasant people in Indiana! Will come here a lot in the future!!!
We went in to dine and was so surprised to find out that there was new ownership. I can’t lie, I was a little nervous because I loved the food before but hadn’t been back for a couple years. It turned out fantastic. The dishes were plated really nicely. We ordered pad Thai and duck curry. Both had tons of flavor. The restaurant was very clean. I do wish it was a little cozier but it was still a nice chill atmosphere. The server informed us that his family took over recently. Service couldn’t have been better. Cool guy.
Under their new ownership, this place is AMAZING. I didn’t like it before but got it for the first time this evening. Well seasoned, good portion size of food, great service. If you didn’t like it before, give it a try now!
07/2021 This is my favorite Thai place the food is always cooked perfectly and has great flavors.
edit: 10/2022 the owners have changed and so has the menu the food was still really good (slightly smaller portions and mo soup/salad included w every meal) but i could have done without the fried spring rolls.
Best Thai food I have ever Had!! Under New management which is Awesome!Nice & cozy Atmosphere.Great service, friendly and attentive. Will return! Must try!!
0 stars . I wish I could give it zero stars but I couldn’t. I’ve been going to this restaurant for years me and my family have. We’ve always loved it and nerved had issues but I order it today the portions was half the size and more money and I didn’t even get what I ordered. I ordered fried rice and had helly raisins and cashews and I was very unhappy. They said they are under new ownership. I wish I knew before spending $31.
Came for the opening night!!!! Excellent food and great service!!!!! I love the Tom Tom Soup I drank it with a straw!!!!
Their Thai green curry is FUIYOH!!! Uncle Roger maybe approve!! Some of the best I ever had!!
Also <3 their Thai ice coffee!!!
got the chicken satay, (and thai ice tea) food was honestly good but I got terrible food poisoning so maybe be careful here lol
Ordered pad thai and a cream cheese tuna roll. The pad thai was decent, but the sushi was THE WORST sushi roll I have ever had in my entire life. It had those fake fried onions that you get in a container at the grocery store sprinkled on top. I put the first piece in my mouth and almost vomited. The only thing saving this from a zero star review is their pad thai. STAY AWAY FROM THEIR SUSHI.
We love this place!! Staff is so sweet and friendly and the food is great! We especially love their thai iced tea!
Absolutely the best Thai food I’ve tasted. I’m driving from Brownsburg for this restaurant. No complaints. Customer service is always on point. Food is delicious.
Love the food here, especially the soup that comes with the food. Thai hot is very hot (heat options of 1-5 & Thai hot is 10). Never had a bad experience here; by far my favorite place for pad Thai. Only downside is that for some reason I always crave this on Tuesdays (when they are closed).
This is by far one of my top favorite Thai places in Indy, it's really quaint, and the staff is very sweet
Best Thai food in Central Indiana!
Was there for doordash. Asked her how long she said it’s almost ready. Then I ended up waiting 20 mins and had to leave without my order.
My food was excellent.
The food is good but the customer service is horrible! They messed my order up and told me that I had to come in and swap it out and they would NOT be giving me any kind of discount for the inconvenience. You would think that during a pandemic restaurants would have better customer service.
Ordered shrimp salad but it’s just shrimp on a bed of iceberg lettuce- there’s no dressing and I wanted zero spice but sauce on shrimp was spicy
This place is awesome! Their service is always made in a timely manner, the staff is super friendly and the food is delicious. My favorite Thai place in broad ripple!
I visited Thai Cafe the evening of April 7th. The food is delicious and I tend to visit this restaurant once a week. Usually my experience is always a awesome one except for last night. I placed my normal order as usual and my normal spice level (you can choose between 1-5) and I ALWAYS get a number 3 spice level. Unfortunately, my meal yesterday was very, very spicy to the point I could not complete my meal. The restaurant was closed when I began to eat my food so I waited until today when they opened at 11 a.m. to advise.
The lady they I spoke with had every excuse as to why they were right and I was wrong, as if I cannot tell if my meal is spicer than normal. After going back and forth (which was very unprofessional) the lady advised they will not correct because they did not make a mistake.
Guess I’ll have to look for a different Thai restaurant because I refuse to give my money to a company that cannot admit mistakes can happen. I never once asked for a free meal, I just wanted to bring it to their attention but she assumed I wanted my 2 not 1 meal replaced and was unwilling to correct. This is very disappointing to a once loyal customer.
Normally pretty good. A recently ordered pineapple fried rice and definitely got severe food poisoning that lasted 36 hours from
This meal. I couldn’t eat for another day afterwards. Almost went to the hospital.
I called to warn Thai Cafe as a courtesy and just give them a heads up and their response was “nope wasn’t from our food”. I know stuff can happen but not even acknowledging my warning was rude. I expected at least just an apology or a refund.
We enjoyed our food and the variety. We got a lot rice and soup with our entrees. The dumplings came loaded! I loved the oysters/ mussels. No complaints about the food or price, just wasn’t as astonishing as other Thai places we have had. We will probably continue ordering since location and service is great!
Major plus: delivery food is well packaged and arrives hot! I have eaten at Thai Cafe twice, once in person, once delivered. Noodle dishes are good but leave a little to be desired. I find the veggies and noodles just a bit overcooked. The meat tastes like the oil it was cooked in without much seasoning. But they do give you just the spice level you ask for.
Great food at great prices, would be five stars if the menu didn't vary so much from what you actually receive. Every time that I've ordered a dish with rice noodles it has came with the their regular noodles instead. There are also often things that aren't listed on the menu, such as spicy mayo on some of their appetizers.
You could drink their lemongrass soup by the pitcher, their Thai hot is heckin' delicious, and the amount of food you get for the prices is generous. Would give more stars if physically able
The lemongrass soup is amazing.
Great food, all take out due to plague
I love the food that I ordered 😋
Always excellent, since day one at opening.
The folks who run this place our absolute wonderful I believe it's their 2 daughters who are the 2 main servers and they are always so kind. Since covid 19, we've only been there a couple times for carry out in they addressed us by our 1st names because they remember our names. they always ask how we been and that for staying healthy. Tonight we had dinner from there again ,I walked in the door they addressed me by name and said that they have missed us and what would we like to order. they knew we hadn't ordered yet because of who we are. The very hospitable and I would recommend this place to anybody
Love this place but they’re not answering the phone. Did they close?
Best bang for your buck, and service is fantastic.
Gr8 service, Gr8 Food, Gr8 Price....
I always order their Kao Soy Noodles!!! They’re so good!! My bf says they’re the best noodles he’s ever had, & I feel the same way!! Their Thai Iced Tea is good too!
Overpriced & underwhelming.
I have been to the Thai cafe a few times and today was the worst experience ever. The man attending to my friend and I did not bring my order in and when we asked why, he was really rude, screaming at the top of his voice and pointing fingers and yelling. I was in disbelief and could not believe how he treated us. If I could put a zero I would.
Food was really good.. thai hot is really2 like spicy food in southeast asian!! Really2 hot
I love thai Cafe! We come here all the time with a large family and we are always taken care of! As a family owned business the food is so delicious!
Very cozy
Hidden gem! Great food. Try the Massaman Curry.
Chicken in chicken pad Thai-very dry. Wondering if it was microwaved. Peanut sauce served cold and not conducive to dipping. I asked the waiter about and he said that is how is is serve on the side. I’ll stick with sawasdee on 86th street. Great food and great attitudes.
Ewe. Service was terrible
Not impressed.
Excellent food and great service! Everyone is always friendly.
Very good Thai food and not very expensive! Definitely will be back
Solid service, good food, and lots of food choices! Small place, but it was clean and the food was very fresh!
I had not been here in a while.Met a friend for lunch there and we were both happy with our meals. A nice selection from the lunch menu, And it comes with a cup of tasty broth, fried spring roll.I will definitely be going back. 👍❤
Best. Lemongrass. Soup. Ever.
Great food. Nice staff. Spice levels are different daily. Sometimes hot is mild and sometimes it's almost Thai hot. But I like it every way. Very flexible for food allergies and dietary restrictions. Haven't had a dish I don't like. Recommend the Thai Tea!! I also think they have the freshest mango sticky rice!
My personal favorite Thai place of all time. The flavors are unreal. They know exactly how to mix the ingredients to make the dish peak quality and taste. Seriously good soup. Best spring rolls in town. Friendly service. Lunch prices are inexpensive but the food is always priced very fairly. I just love their dishes more than many other thai places. Quality pork.
I absolutely love this place, amazing food, great service. I'd recommend the spring rolls, the best in the city really. Also when they say soup or salad, get the soup it's fantastic.
Very nice place w great service and beautiful food presentation. Quality!
Felt like I was back in Thailand!
Great food ..have to check it out for yourself
Incredibly awesome. Food was outstanding.... Yum.....
Great food and good service but they didnt.put that much heat in the food.
Good service but don’t try fish curry at all. I was throwing up all night after eating fish curry yesterday ☹️☹️
Best of meat and heat! My beef and string beans were fantastic. If you're looking for quality Thai food, I would recommend this eatery.
Need more experience how to deal with coustomer
Wonderful food. Great service.
Frequent flyer here, give this spot a try and you won't regret it. Lots of food
The lunch specials are phenomenal and the service is short and sweet. Call in for carryout, or dine in you will be well taken care of
Very tasty food! I love it "Thai hot" - very very hot without ruining the flavors of food. Soups are delicious.
Tom Kha Thai hot! ❤️🔥❤️
The food is amazing here! The prices are right on point.
Ordered two things via doordash. One item came in wrong. They offered to have doordash delivered the right item, but at this point we were hungry enough that we'd rather drive there to exchange for the right item. So we paid for delivery and tipped the driver but then at the end we still had to drive there in person, and Thai Cafe didn't even offer any compensation.
The customer service was the best thing about this restaurant. Food quality and ingredients were mediocre. I had a tofu dish and while it did the job it wasn't anything special. The veggie sushi rolls were as good as Publix rolls. The sitting is very cramped and the bathroom is decent but not very welcoming. The restaurant had very few vegan options and their menu leaves a lot to be desired.
Big portions, good prices, cozy interior, good music!! This place is even better with good company
Amazing food
This was a really great place. The food was awesome, and for really good prices! Go there.
Yuuuuuuuum. Good food, lemongrass soup and lots of leftovers. :)
Been coming here for years and the food is always good, I am never disappointed!
Good stuff
My absolute favorite place to eat
I always get the same thing and never regret it. My girlfriend and I sometimes argue quietly there and the server never cares. One time my ex came there while I was there with my girlfriend and said hi to her and not me. Same ex told people I was talentless. She drinks too much.
Incorrect order for carry out, completely different item. Was happy to check my order before leaving.
Delicious thai food. Reasonable prices. Decent beer selection. Fancy new decor! Friendly servers. Great!
Best thia food around
I will stick with my favorite Thai restaurant on 82nd st near I-465. The food was okay. They were very slow and I felt ignored for a while. I understand differences in culture with a Thai and Filipino aunt, but I thought it put a bad taste in my mouth. I may give a second chance because everyone has off days, but if I get the same treatment again....my money goes elsewhere along with my recommendation for friends, colleagues and business associates.
This was very good. I highly suggest getting everything spicy it makes it better :) Super flavorful and just delish :))
They were nice staff. Facility was clean food was prepared immediately and was fast.
Enjoy the vegan option!!! Very nice environment
Super friendly!!!! The food came out fairly quickly and was really good. I have gone there about four times and my meal has been enjoyable every time.
The absolute best place in Indy for real Thai food!!! Amazing customer service and extremely clean and friendly environment
Excellent food! Great customer service.
Always pretty good
One of the beat places I've ever eaten and I recomen the lemon grass soup
Good service.nice presentation .enough food for leftovers.
My favorite place near Broad Ripple.
Best Thai in the broad ripple area. Weird hours, though.
Fresh and delicious! Very friendly! Great lunch specials. The best Thom yum soup I've ever had. Order the large to share and it comes in a dish with charcoals to keep it hot.
Green curry so spicy it will hurt you.
Love the pad Thai!
Love this place so much! A good variety of menu items, staff is kind and helpful, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Clean restrooms and parking lot for easiest free parking near broadripple.
