During visiting Indy, we were so hungry and craving for delicious Thai food. We looked up on google for Thai food near me, so we found this place. The food is very authentic which is reminded me of my home, Thailand. All the dishes are fresh and full of flavors that I couldn’t find anywhere else in Indy. Moreover, the service is phenomenal. The owners are very helpful and friendly. We had so much fun talking to them. We are very happy for our visit, and definitely be back. 😃😃😃😃

My discerning 8 year old rated this restaurant a, “20/10,” so that alone says something. The green curry was unbiased the best I have ever had. I have been looking for a go to Thai spot since moving to the area, and I can officially say that I will now be a regular. Cannot recommend highly enough, best Thai food in the Indy area bar none.

Highly recommend! The owner couldn't have been friendlier or made us feel more comfortable. Although it is a take out restaurant, there are several small tables. They brought out an extra small table when the food came out and quickly removed any wrappers or empty dishes. We did not feel cramped or rushed.

James is always extremely kind and always on top of it. His wife makes everything fresh. It’s just the two of them working every night. For Valentine’s Day they even had complimentary cookies for everyone that she had prepared.

The kind man with the glasses was super cheerful. I forgot my drink on a pickup order, and he called me before I got home to let me know! I drove back to the storefront and he ran the drink out for me. Great service, and amazing pad Thai!

Everything 5 star. Warning now the dining area is very small 12 person capacity. But it was a great environment. Menu explained very well if you need it. Superb service. Owner very passionate about your experience. And the spicy is Spicer then other scales. Enjoy

Ordered food for delivery. The delivery was good but food quality, packaging and taste is pathetic. I would never order here again.
Who packs rice in plastic wrap, eew, it was so unappetising to look at. Plus, the basil fried rice has burnt bit of eggs, the rice tasted like it was burnt in the process of making. I had food at several Thai places, by far this is the worst. Sorry I had to be honest for people out there.

What an amazing experience right when I walked through the door. Greeted with excellent customer service, explaining all items on the menu as well as any questions I had. The food was absolutely delicious fresh and authentic! Would highly recommend this eatery to anyone who enjoys amazing Thai food.

Really good and healthy food with lots of interesting dessert options. I have a limited diet because of very severe acid reflux so it's nice to find a place that has good tasting food that doesn't trigger my symptoms :)

I went in to grab a quick meal in between classes and was immediately greeted by the incredibly friendly owner. I didn't know what I wanted right away so he went through the menu with me offering suggestions. He was very informative every step of the way and even explained how their spice scale works. Everything was delicious and fresh tasting, it was the perfect meal I needed.

Mostly a take out place but we didn’t know that and showed up to dine in. The owners were kind enough to go through menu with us and it has many traditional Thai items that you won’t see in other places.

Traveled to Indianapolis for a Fever game. Found this restaurant close to where we were staying. Had the best dining experience. The owner was so warm and welcoming. He went over the menu and gave recommendations on popular food items. We tried the crusty crab, boat noodles, pad see ew, and taro cake. Everything was delicious! Got some homemade mango mochi to go. Excited to try them later! Everything from the meal to desserts was made by his wife. It is evident the owners have a passion for what they do and it clearly shows with the hospitality, service, and taste of the food. Will return when back in the area. Give this place a try you won’t be disappointed! :)

One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve ever been to in the US. Super friendly owner who got some serious wisdom from aunties and serves it up fresh.

We stopped in to have lunch here today and it was incredible!! The food was absolutely delicious and the dishes offered are both unique and authentic! The interior is small, but if you only have a few in your party you can dine in! Service was amazing - the owner was so kind and attentive! He explained the menu for us, and you can really tell that they are incredibly passionate about their food here and very proud of the restaurant! All the food was great, but the appetizers in particular were especially awesome - we got the Chicken Satay and the Crusty Crab - both absolutely delicious! It was overall a wonderful experience - 11/10 would recommend! :)

The best Thai food we've had! We came from Colorado to Carmel for a short visit. Found this place via google. Not only the food was fantastic, but also the owner was super nice. Everything he recommended turned out great, and we plan to go back again before we return to Colorado.

This place is lovely! Good food/drinks and even greater service. The owner truly treats you like family, even if it was our first time going here. Definitely try this place out if you haven’t already and we’ll definitely be back!

My daughter's first experience with Thai food was fantastic. The gentleman behind the counter was extremely patient and explained so many dishes and choices in detail with great information as to what each dish consisted of and sauce and spice and noodle and rice expectations, flavors, availability. We ordered the delicious Pad Thai Woon Sen and macarons with an iced Jasmine tea. The portions were satisfying and presented nicely to go. The jasmine tea was refreshing and perfect for a 90 degree day. I cannot say enough about the assistance of the gentleman in the front and his patience with my teen's questions and inexperience. Highly recommend!

First time and already decided this is the best Thai food in Indy! The owner goes above and beyond with incredible service and highlights his huge menu with your traditional favorites but also unique dishes. The crusty crabs were so good. Make sure to get a drink… there are so many from smoothies to milk teas to fruit teas. You can get boba or popping pearls. I’ll have to come back many more times to try it all!

Popped in on a whim for lunch. I was expecting a slapdash run-of-mill Thai food experience. That is not at all what I got. The menu was unlike what I typically see and there were a variety of deserts from cookies to cakes and mochi apparently made in-house. They were very friendly.

Got my food Thai hot x2 (Hot and Spicy with chicken). It was as hot as I expected and delicious. The lunch special came with a crispy little egg roll and two small cookies. Good deal, good food.

Got take out so can't say much about service or automosphere. I have no idea how this place is rated so well. I love Thai food and this place does not make good food. I always order extra Thai for leftovers the next day. Their food was so bad (bland, just not right) I threw it away. I've never wasted food like that. Find another spot. Maybe it works for some people but this is not authentic at all.

My husband and I love Thai food and this place is very authentic. I am gluten free and the owner walked us through the entire menu and had a lot of gluten free dishes. He made sure to let us know they clean everything and cooks it separately for gluten allergies. He was so kind and gave us great service. The food was amazing! We will be regular customers!

I travel sometimes for work and love to get Chicken Pad Thai when I am out. Saw this place on google with good reviews and had to check it out. Totally worth it. Food is fresh and delicious. The owner is friendly and walks you through the different spice levels. I love spicy but it doesn’t sit well with me. His recommended level was spot on. Pricing is actually cheaper than my local spot back home.

For who never been to Thailand before I would suggest Donut (Patongo) ,Coconut pancake ka nom krok ,Thai E-san and Nothern sausage , and If you like noodle Yellow noodle with bbq pork it is perfect

Best Thai takeout in Carmel! I can’t remember the last time I have encountered customer service that was this good! James and his wife are the owners and they were so knowledgeable and lovely to talk to. I am vegetarian and it is hard to find Pad Kee Mao that doesn’t contain fish sauce. James told me about how they make all their own sauces, highly recommend their Pad Kee Mao for any vegetarians, it was so good! Also got the macaroons and they were delicious!

It took one bite and I knew I had found a gem. Honestly, I would visit this place every day if I could. Please try the Crusty Crab ,Egg rolls and Boat Noodle. Omg!!! Delicious. The owners are exceptionally kind and welcoming.

Divine food with fantastic proportions on heat. We ordered one max hot and one mild and the hot was VERY hot and the mild was perfectly spiced. Service is very friendly and even with a bunch of orders going they were quick. I will be back and I highly recommend to anyone.

I just visited for my first time today and I am absolutely thrilled. First of all, the man who helped me was SO nice and explained the menu. I have never had Thai food before so it was incredibly helpful. I got the mixed veggies with chicken. Delicious. I got the curry puff with taro because I wanted to try one of their signature items. It was delicious. The lemon mochi was great also. Perhaps my favorite item (because I have a chocolate addiction) was this 3 layer chocolate cake that I was told the man's wife makes all of them. 13 out of 10. Everything I ate was delicious. I have a lot of GI issues that make it hard to be adventurous with food but I was able to try so many new things that were absolutely delicious.

My first time trying this place. I got the pad fried rice with chicken for lunch. Absolutely amazing! The server was extremely friendly. Great portion! My Coworkers commented on how great it smelled and looked. I will be back!

The customer service here is TOP TIER. The owner working the counter provided some of the best service I've had from an Asian takeout restaurant. The sweet and sour sauce was some of THE BEST I've ever had. We ordered pad siew, veggie egg rolls, and Tom Ka soup. Pad Siew and Veggie Eggrolls was tasty. My complaints - small portions and Tom Ka lacked enough flavor and veggies. I was splitting food with my wife. The Tom Ka barely had any flavor or veggies in it. It had 2 pieces of broccoli, a few sprouts, 2 cherry tomatoes split in half. I would get the eggrolls and pad siew again. The soup was a no for me and money wasted. The atmosphere of the place was very quaint. There is only seating for 8 ppl max inside. Overall, I recommend it.

Stumbled upon this restaurant. I have now been here twice in a month. Everything I have gotten has been very good. Panang Curry, Curry Fried Rice, Pad See Ew, Cashew Chicken and several desserts.

The owners (husband wife) are a tag team. Husband is super friendly face of the building with his charismatic and down to earth personality. The wife is killing it with great food and desserts. Overall, I have been amazed by this restaurant. Kudos!!

This was our first visit and James was welcoming and extremely informative about the dishes on offer and how to deal with my Low Fodmap diet. We had Pad Thai, Fried Rice, Chicken Satay, Sao Aua sausage and Egg Rolls.

The sausage I'd never had before and was amazing when paired with lettuce and ginger.

The restaurant is really set up for take out, but we were able to dine in and enjoy the culinary creations of this husband and wife team.

What a great new addition to the Asian eateries in Carmel and its surrounding areas. This is a nice "hidden" gem. Don't sleep on it. The place is tiny but comfortable and cozy. There are a handful of tables to enjoy your food for a dine-in experience. Do eat in. The owner, James, is great company and gave us incredible service. The food is delicious. We ordered chicken pad thai, pork jerky, fish cakes, paneng chicken curry, and Isan sausages. Everything was delightful. Portion to price is great, and you can taste the love in everything they serve. There is still so much I have yet to try. Don't forget the dessert. The Golden Thread dessert is a MUST!!

All I can say is. “Wow!” I had the Crusty Crab and the Curry Puffs. The puffs were so delicious and baked in layers of dough. Egg Rolls- check! My husband and daughter each had the Pad Thai and said it was great. Very friendly staff. To quote my husband, “We now have a new takeout place!”

Always great food! We have tried multiple dishes here and they have all been wonderful. Make sure to try the crusty crab appetizer! The desserts are made in house and are delicious!

First the food is amazing I had the Rama and it was delicious the curry was really good. Second the owners were incredibly gracious to us while we were there. The owners made the experience even better through their kindness. Would recommend to anyone.

One of my favorite places. The owner is vibrant and kind and he cares deeply about his business and his customers. They sell everything from appetizers, entrees, desserts, and boba tea. His wife makes all of the desserts by hand and everything in the kitchen is made fresh to order. He has a couple other restaurants in Chicago as well. Even if you don't like Thai food, go there just for the service. It is mostly takeout, but there are a couple tables and chairs inside.

Stumbled upon this place today and thought we’d give it a try tonight for dinner. Before even trying the food, it immediately moved up to the top of our list just because the service was so great. James (the owner) was so friendly and pleasant, helped answer any questions and walked us through the menu items in such detail. We had such a good visit while waiting for our food, which was excellent too! We had the pad Thai woon sen, the crab rangoons (BEST we’ve ever had), and a mango refresher and all were fantastic. Not only is it refreshing to find such good service, but I’ll also applaud them for responding to all Google Reviews. Well done. Thank you!

Check out Siam Star Asian Express in Carmel if you can! I had the Thai Esan Sausage and the Green Curry with chicken. The sausage was perfectly crispy on the outside without being dry, and a great balance of flavors and spices. The curry had great textures with the crunchy veggies, velvety chicken, and a good balance of heat and sweetness from the coconut. But the reason to come here is the owner. He took the time to explain a bunch of dishes and helped me try some new dishes that I might not otherwise go for. I will definitely be back next time im in the area!

This place was amazing! The service was so attentive and friendly, I kept thinking that the worker is just so passionate about the restaurant. We got the crusty crab appetizer which was one of the best takes on crab Rangoons I've ever had, the Hawaiian fried rice and the garlic blackened pepper chicken. Everything was so delicious and the atmosphere was adorable! If we were from the area we'd come here every week!

My husband and I ordered food a week ago from here and simply put, it was quite delicious. Not only did the food taste great, but the man running the counter (I believe he might have been the owner) was lovely and we had a great conversation about the various foods that they have there.

If you are gluten free, they have lots of options and even make their own gluten free soy sauce! There are many great options in general and even the desserts were phenomenal! Highly recommend others try them out!!!

My friend and I were very excited to try Siam Star Asian Express in Carmel. I am always very excited to order Pad Ki Mao (Drunken Noodles). My friend ordered the Boat Noodles with beef which had thin rice noodle soup with beansprout, sprinkle with cilantro and green onion (mild spice). I ordered the Udon Pad Ke Mao with shrimp which had stir fried Udon noodles with homemade brown sauce, basil, onions, young corn, broccoli, bean sprouts, carrots, tomatoes, bell pepper, and egg (medium spice). The food was very fresh, flavorful, lots of texture, and NOT greasy!!! The brown sauce was very good. The only feedback I can give is to chop up the egg so that is is evenly distributed in the dish. The owner and his Japanese wife came up with the idea of using Udon noodles which was an awesome idea. I love udon noodles so I would highly recommend this dish. The owner is super nice, loves to talk, and very proud of the restaurant. The owner is always happy to give recommendations based on his travels and culinary knowledge. Per the owner, the place used to be a pizza place so the restaurant is mostly a kitchen. The place does have a couple of chairs and tables but not a lot of dining area. I would have loved to come in with my family and seat and eat but we will most likely do carry out. I am super excited to come here again! I did not try desserts but that is on my radar to try!!!

Love this place! I decided to give it a try last month, and it's been a great experience.

Everything seems to be made fresh in house, and it's done well. The macarons have the perfect chewy, crunchy texture. The mochi is fresh and soft. The frappes are what I've been missing since my last bubble tea spot closed (it's frozen type of boba tea for those like me who've never described it as a frappe - but it makes sense!) The boba I think is also house made; it's not bad but it's not the same as regular boba. It's still good, just different.

I ordered Pad See Ew today and it was good. On the sweeter side but a splash of light soy sauce and it was perfect. I already knew this was owned by a Thai couple, but they do the food justice and not wash it down.

I'm looking forward to trying all their goodies.

Fantastic food, exceptionally delicious. Takeout was ready right on time. Customer service is top notch - friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and grateful for the business. Apparently they brought in a new chef and will be adding new items to the menu next week. Can't wait! Wish there was indoor seating - I would love to bring coworkers here for lunch. I bet some outdoor furniture will benefit their summertime business.

Love this place! It’s a hole in the wall which is exactly why we love it. You can tell it’s a small family owned business and they know good food! The boba was also excellent and had great flavor. We will be coming back again soon.

Wonderful! Ordered takeout and had an absolutely delicious meal! We ordered the fish cakes as an appetizer (outstanding! There's a tiny bit of kick, if you're sensitive to spice) and the pad ki mao and pad se ew, both excellent! When I went to pick up the order, they had some homemade pastries for sale on the counter and I got some mochi to try, very excited!

I love Pad Thai and am critical when it's not made well (heavy, greasy, tough, oily.) Tried Siam Star today and was delighted! The pad Thai was very light and fluffy - chicken was tender, and the spice (very hot) was similar to most "thai hot" level. Will definitely be back soon.

The pictures don't do the food or the desserts justice, it was fantastic. We got the Coconut Cake and Mango Mochi, the coconut cake was light and airy and delicious. The spicy sauce is homemade and has habanero and thai chilis, I would highly recommend.

I'm thrilled that this place is close to my office! The food is great. My chicken pad thai was delicious and not dry like some I've had elsewhere. I'll be stopping by to pick up dinner on my way home in the near future

This is a great place for take out. The couple who own and run the restaurant, also work the front counter and make all the food. Their homemade desserts are wonderful.

What a hidden gem! We tried some drinks (smoothie and tea with boba) and a few deserts. They are all so good. Macaroon is to die for and the cakes are just perfect, particularly for those who prefer a bit less sweet or Japanese/Korean pastry.

We picked up food for the first time, from Siam last night. It was amazing! The owners are such lovely, happy people. They take such care in everything they cook and bake! Our food was better than I've have in a long time from other places. So fresh, and perfectly executed. Their made in house sauces, are some of the best I've ever had. It's nice to have them in the area!
