Fantastic Pho. The food was amazing, we had crab Rangoon and pot stickers for an appetizer. I hat the tendon Pho and it took me back to my time in southern China. The service was great and including tip it was only about $60 for the two of us. All around great. We will be back!

Update, Reopened! Happy to find them open. Had the meatball Pho. I think some beef was slipped in as a bonus. Great Pho. Not the best I've had, but pretty darn good. To get 5 stars I'd like the broth a little richer and more bean sprouts, peppers and basil on the side.

One of the waiter said she knows English, we asked for water room temperature and she doesn't even know what that is. We then ordered 4 bowls of pho, and she only took two orders. The restaurant is so dead and their service sucks so bad, I have to give them only two stars.

Sadly, the only good pho in janesville had closed down. I'm happy that this is only 20 minutes away from me. Pho definitely hit the spot! We got crab Rangoon, fried tofu, pot stickers, fried rice, BBQ chicken, Vietnamese coffee, and Thai tea, and everything was good. GET A Banh Mi to go! It's so delicious. Fast service! Nice people! Reasonable prices and great portions! Will definitely be coming back. Sorry I didn't get pictures. Got too excited and we ate all of our food! Lol

I had come here a couple times, and made an online order. Later the chef had said my order didn’t go through. Made my order twice and later was charged twice. Called multiple times to get my money back. They said they would rearrange it and call me back, never heard back. The food was so good so I was super bummed that they didn’t give me at least a voucher. Now i see they are temporarily closed again, sooo hopefully they rearrange somethings.

The place says they just had a grand opening, but I guessed that didn't work well, we came here September 20th 2023 google says it was open but it was actually close,

I don't know if it's because they are short staffed but service was pretty slow and they brought us food we didn't order. The pho broth was nicely balanced, and had nice amount of meatballs. On the flip side our eggrolls were a bit on the burned side.

My husband, son and I ate here for the first time tonight and it was all fabulous! We started with crab Rangoon which were amazing and I had a seafood pho that was extremely generous with shrimp, squid and crab. The broth was divine. My son loved his pho and my hubby thoroughly enjoyed his sweet and sour combination! Oh! And the prices are great too! We’ll definitely be back.

Excellent food, the owner has clearly mastered the food he serves. The broth of the pho is some of the most flavorful and fragrant I've had, with plenty of good pieces of meat too. We also ordered crab rangoon to share and they were delicious, the sauce tasted homemade unlike other restaurants, and the fried wonton was light and crispy. Would go again and again.

Order food to pick up. Said 30 mins. After 40 mins food was still not ready. Got wrong soup (way to small too ! ??) Ordered hot and sour. They gave me lemongrass soup. They ran out of plastic forks !. Food is way too expensive here. Double like the other places. Average food. I don't recommend it.

I ordered the combination lo mein the noodles were mush. The meat was chewy and overcooked. The price was higher than the menu listing. When asked why, they told me that new owners raised the price and haven't adjusted the menu. So bad was my experience. I'm never returning.

Best banh mi around. Better than a lot of banh mi I've had in Saigon. And of course their Pho is delicious.

The Pho was on point. The flavor of the chicken and beef broths was fantastic. The Fresh Spring rolls were large and very fresh. The egg rolls were not like your normal roll. Alot of meat with a little sprout. Crabraggoon was out of this world. The star of the show for me was the dipping sauces that came w the appetizers. The peanut type sauce was fantastic . I didn't order enough stuff to dip in it, lol. Definitely will be back. The owner came out and spoke with me, and my date before we left, he went to retrieve more condiments(sprouts,basil,lime,Jalepeno slices)to put in our leftover Pho when we reheat it.

Was very surprised to see little business. The food was really flavorful, the man who took our order was funny and nice. Was patient when we asked questions about the menu. Very filling and not expensive. I ordered the pot stickers and P10 pho. Big bowl like most places, but this restaurant had twice the amount of meat and noodles, not all just broth.

We had another customer accidentally take our pickup order, and the owner was so kind and understanding and remade our order with no issue or hesitation. This isn’t our first time ordering pickup, and their Vietnamese dishes are always fresh, delicious, and package with care.

I went with some friends on a long road trip and enjoyed a delicious banh mi and an avocado smoothie. The banh mi had a fantastic ratio of meat to filling—wouldn’t have minded more pickled carrot shreds, even! I tend to avoid cilantro, so the amount used was perfect for me. The bread was lightly toasted and had a good flavor and texture, not to be outdone by its filling. The meat texture made me look forward to each bite. If there were any ingredients one is adverse to, I don’t think it would be difficult to remove. As for the avocado smoothie, I’ve had them in SE Asia, so I was expecting the creamy, thick, slightly sweet green drink. My friends tried a bit of mine for the first time and their consensus were: person 1 thought it was good, but wouldn’t get it themself, person 2 would have to try it again since it was their first time having it to know how they felt about the smoothie, and person 3 full-heartedly enjoyed it. So, future diner, feel free to heed or go all out after hearing all those reactions.

The gentleman who greeted us was very kind and patient as we explained our different orders. There weren’t many windows where we were sitting, but the same gentleman let us know that it had begun to downpour, so he let us out the alternate exit to get to the car faster. Wowza! Many thanks!

Stopped by when passing through, and this place is awesome! My friends and I had the whole place to ourselves, which I couldn’t believe because of how great the food and service were. I’d have thought anywhere with food that good would’ve been packed. The banh mi was absolutely delicious (I didn’t know this going in, but their “large” banh mi is actually 2 sandwiches). The crab rangoon and Thai tea were also incredible. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. If you’re in the area, you should stop by!

Try to go in person and not do delivery ig. I ordered crab rangoon and shrimp chow fun. I did not get chow fun, I got shrimp with a different kind of noodle instead (crispy noodles). Very salty. Crab Rangoon tasted ok for the most part but the last one I ate had a terribly salty and fishy taste to it.

Hidden gem in South Beloit! How have I never heard of this place before? Excellent food! Great value! Had the pho and crab rangoon. Can't wait to return! The owner and staff were friendly and helpful with menu suggestions. A must try in the Stateline for delicious Vietnamese food.

Wow, what a surprise. If you drove down the main road you wouldn't even notice this place. But was it ever delicious! If you're looking for that Pho that you've been pining for, this is the place to go. Huge portions and delicious soup!

Excellent stop, would highly recommend the Vietnamese menu, did not try anything off of the Chinese menu. Meat and vegetables were incredibly fresh, owner (I’m assuming) was very friendly and willing to answer any questions. Can’t miss the Vietnamese coffee, I took one to go. My wife and I were visiting my son in Janesville, WI and looked for some pho soup place and came here by “chance”. We were surprised with the excellent food and service in this place. The pho soup was very tasty and the spring rolls delicious!! The owner came to say hello and made the experience even better with his kindness. I definitely recommend the place

I ordered the red chicken Curry from this place, chicken was not fresh, vegetables looks good and had black spot on them, flavor was bad, everything is off the mark, please stay away from this place. If there is a negative star I will rate that.

I was in Beloit & thought I'd check for an Asian restaurant. That is how I found Pho Thanh Thu. I really enjoyed the decor, the service & the food. I ordered crab Rangoon, egg rolls & pho. All were very good! I would definitely go back. I should also mention that the service was excellent.

Best pho in a 30mile radius. From someone who eats pho every weekend I'll give it 7 out of 10. Wish they separate the chili oil from the pho instead they combine it and call it the spicy pho. And wish the portion was bigger too but I understand it's mostly white people who eats there. Other then that it's a solid place to get pho

For how high the prices are I would expect quality food and quick service. The food was subpar and they didn’t get the order right. Ordered two entrees and got no rice and one of two egg rolls. Waited about 30 minutes after they said it would be ready. I will never order from here again, very disappointing.

Authentic pho with generous portions of meat, vegetables, and noodles. And chow mein that is crispy pan-fried, not the cheap prefab La Choi style “noodles” used in lots of places. Flavors were just right. Our boy inhaled his orange chicken and said it was the best egg drop soup he’s ever had. We ordered enough to take home and enjoy for another day. Owners/chef were very welcoming. Hope they last a while, more than their predecessors at this location.

I come from Denver where there is a Pho restaurant on every corner. Pho Thanh Thu has the most delicious and flavorful Pho I have ever eaten! I cannot rave about the food enough, so delicious! Everyone in the area should give this place a try, they will not be disappointed!!

Place was completely empty when I arrived. The lights to the dining area were literally out until they turned them on for me. Despite this, the food was exceptional. Service was exceptional. Since I was the only one there, food arrived quickly. Yeah, it was a little weird eating at an empty restaurant, but it wasn't so bad.

Beautiful place for dine in. They have veggie options as well which is much appreciated :) and the staff are so friendly and kind. the pho is comparable to the best pho i’ve ever had in NYC, this place is definitely a hidden gem!!! make sure you come on an empty stomach

Really mixed review. I ordered here saturday—the beef pho was nice! And a good price consider what some pho can cost.

The general tsos chicken was really, really awful and will be thrown out so I’d ideally have my money back on that! It was just mush, all the breading came off of it and the broccoli seemed old and tasted off. I’m not sure why they sell that at all. I saw reviews just now saying the same thing so at this point they really ought to fix something—$16 is a lot to waste!
I’ll have to think hard about being a repeat customer. I’d suggest avoiding any breaded chicken dishes.

I order food there first time they told me 45 minutes and I got there after the time promised and still have to wait other 50 minutes and the soup still not done, first time and the last not worth my times.

Don’t know what changed but it was a very bad experience! For the super high prices I would expect quality food. The General Tao chicken was mushy and the Mongolian beef was subpar. Order two entrees and got one serving of rice. I will never order from here again, very disappointed.

Second time I ordered. First time something messed up I thought it was supposed to be delivered and it wasn’t. Tonight food tastes good but no meat! My son ordered Mongolian Beef it was more like Mongolian Onions and same with my dads Mei Fun with beef. Whole lot of nothings for 78$. This will be my last order unfortunately.

Tried for the second time and giving the place another chance. And again very disappointed. This time misunderstood the order and asked for extra egg in Chicken fried rice to not find any egg period and was the issue the first time we ordered. The Beef and potatoes for the second time was 98% onions again and barely no beef nor potatoes. And we asked to cut back on the onions. And the Sweet and Sour Chicken was extremely dry and hard!
And asked if the Crab rangoons came in an order of 4 or still 6?
Was given 4 orders of 6 and was charged (24) !!!!!! Got home and was floored by the mistake and what was charged! Have ordered from this place for over 15 years and the new owner just has not got it right as of yet. We will not eat there again. A John told me someone would call me and nobody did when, I called about the mistakes on my order. Aron was running around doing so much no wonder he got my order wrong!

The pho and crab rangoons were some of the best I’ve ever had. I had business in Beloit, but those two dishes are worth the 3 1/2 hour drive on their own. Would have rated higher, but the Pad Thai was blander and had less sauce than I am used to, but that may be a different style. I will be returning.

We had Pho here and it was AMAZING. If you have ever traveled to Chicago, Madison or had Ramen at anywhere please try this local spot. They still serve the Chinese dishes that the restaurant is previously known for, but have added a whole other side of the menus that specializes in Vietnamese dishes. The atmosphere is neighborly and very relaxed. The owner came out and took our order and helped us navigate the menu. We have decided to to go down the menu and try every dish. This time we each had a huge bowl of Pho and split a delicious bbq chicken rice dish. The portions are huge and the plating looks amazing. Please give it a try and support a local business with amazing food.

He apologized for the delay (we were done eating by the time we got the coffee) on our iced coffee. He's very personable. Although we had a few hiccups on our meals, their attempts to be courteous and communication were worth 5 star. Again our phos were yummy.

The online ordering service they use is trash and makes your double in price! My total was 28 after the 6 dollar door dash fee and the ordering service fee it’s was 48 dollars. Then when I got my order I had missing items and the online order says 2 egg rolls but I guess they only give you one. Refund an amount but not told the amount of the refund

It's very rare for me to post a negative review, With that being said we ordered take out last night for dinner.. When we got the food home the Shrimp egg Fu young was burnt. The gravy for it was so salty, if you have blood pressure... oh my God. The teriyaki chicken was dried out and gross. My daughter said her chicken chow mein was pretty good.
I wish I could post a picture of what the food looked like . so disappointing disappointing don't waste your money.

Only 1 piece of shrimp and had to tell them I didn't get any scallops ,so they bring me about 5 scallops ( about the size of a pea). The sweet and sour soup was more like a sour tomato soup. 1st and last time there.

I enjoy trying new, different ethnic foods and I was hungry for Asian. Pho Thanh Thu has recently opened, so I decided to try it. The restaurant was very clean and pleasant. I will not try to pronounce the name of the dish I ordered. There was thin sliced BBQd pork, shrimp, rice noodles, cucumber, bean sprouts and such. I went in hungry, I came out satisfied. The price is reasonable. We will return.

🤢🤮Horrible trash rip off no meat on combination fried rice. No taste. Horrible tried to overcharged me 🤦🏽‍♂️. Why the hell this place has a 4 star rating very misleading never again🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮

They had a recent change in ownership and now the vietnamese cooks are in charge. The food is great and it's my go to place for pho.

My wife and I were very impressed. Tried two types of Pho and both were amazing! Our server was super polite and attentive. The spring rolls were really fresh and tasty. We will totally be coming back for more.

Name has changed, food is good. Having the restaurant to yourself for dine in was fine. The orange chicken was delicious, the Pad Thai had no sauce but still had some flavor. Egg rolls were different, like a large pork spring roll, but good and hot.

Food was good, service was a bit unprofessional, but it was like dinner and a show. So I would go back for act 2 😉

The dine-in section was far from busy. The food is good and the portions are filling. It seems most of their business is carry-out and delivery.

I normally don’t go out of my way to write a bad review but this was some of the worst service I’ve ever had. It took me 20 minutes to order my food, they couldn’t get my order right, then called me back to ask to charge my card again because they didn’t charge me enough the first time. Even then I wasn’t even upset I tried to be understanding until it took over 2 hours to get my order and the food was cold and didn’t taste great at all. Highly don’t recommend.

Recently underwent a change of ownership. The cooks have become the owners. They have have updated the menu and now offer vegan pho, along with several other vegan options.

Service sometimes takes a little longer than expected due to a small work force. The owner says he needs kitchen help on the weekends. So anyone wanting to be a cook check them out.

Second time visiting and will definitely be back! Food is very fresh and flavourful. One of the best Asain restraunts by far.

They just opened and there was no one that could answer questions about the dishes that we had questions regarding to.

Had a major issue, lied to about an order made, and took over 2 hour to get here. I called about 4:30 to make an order, I was told to call back in 10, so at about 4:40 I called back to place an order. I was told the delivery driver wasn't there and would call when on the way with the order. 50 minns pass and still no call, no food, nothing. I call back, I was told they tried to call and noone answered. Lies, unless they didn't take down the correct number. So they retake the number, and say it will be on the way. 10 more minutes and I get a call back about the order. Asking what we had ordered. They placed no order what so ever, lied about taking the number, seeing as they had to ask for the number the second time and still no food. 30 minns beyond that, I had to call back again!!! It's now 6:41 still no food. Nothing. This is absolutely unnecessary and uncalled for. Why lie about taking an order, twice! Probably the last time I'll support this place. Worst part is, this was just for 2 soups and an appetizer.

Got food midweek. One dish was missing sauce. Other meals were not cooked well.

The food was dull it was a bit burned no taste whatsoever my 1st and last time getting from this place I do not recommend unless u have no taste buds then this is for u same with my other companions they agree with me sadly happy wok taste alot better

Consistently great food; especially love their pho. Prices are good, and delivery and pickup orders are always fast. Staff are friendly, too. All around a great local business I'm happy to support any day.

What a wonderful surprise this place was. The food was outstanding! We ordered some chicken pho (v17), orange chicken, and pad thai. All were superb and bursting with flavor. The person I checked out with was so friendly and grateful for our business.
Definitely try this out. You will not be sorry!

The last time I ordered from Imperial Palace was a year ago. I’m not sure if it has new owners now or what but the sweet n sour chicken I had delivered was not Chinese sweet n sour it must have been Vietnamese sweet n sour chicken, it was awful. It was I think (chicken ?) not really sure, the meat consist of small pieces of scraps that were deep fried, hardly any onions, green peppers , pineapple or sauce in it. I ended up not eating the meat because honestly I didn’t know if it was chicken or not. Very disappointed

I love eating here! Friendly staff and great food! I tired the sesame chicken-on point! Happy walk is nothing compared to Imperial Palace. If your looking for some good food your going to the right place!

Hey I thought this place's food would be really delicious from the four star reviews but when I entered the restaurant, it smelled like some rotten sewage. I really thought I was in a rats sewer from ratatouille. But I still ordered the Hunan Beef and the spring rolls. When I received the spring rolls there were hairs on the plate. So I paid for my spring rolls and left the restaurant. I can't believe we are living in 2020 and this kind of stuff is keep happening. Also, the receptionist was very rude and unkind. It seemed like she was in a call with people and ignored me for straight 30 seconds. This place is a madness and I will never visit this place again. OUTRAGEOUS.
