Food was great overall! Less filler and larger shrimp in the spring rolls would have been nice along with more vegetables in the pad Thai. Taste and cookery of the items I had was spot on! I would return to this establishment. Details make all the difference.

We keep coming back here. Dine in or take out. And it’s always a good experience. It’s smack down in downtown Rockford. It’s always busy when we come. And luckily, we usually get seated quickly before it gets too busy. Both inside and outdoor seating are comfortably spaced. Cozy enough where you can still hear each other when it gets a bit full. The servings are plentiful with always enough for left overs. And the staff are always so friendly and accommodating

I am disabled and require the use of a service animal and the server and staff were amazing and even brought him out a bowl of fresh cold water with our waters! Our server, Ronald, was amazing and so respectful and accommodating:) The food was so good I wish I had been here sooner! I definitely plan on being back to try more of the menu especially now that I know how accepting and welcoming all of the staff are!! The atmosphere inside is very cozy and yet still casual and open for guests. We enjoyed our meal on the patio and it was very nice little patio with all kinds of little decorations and lights. 10/10 experience

I would give it a 4 because a little pricey, but I was talked into a 5 by the kid. It is authentic, definitely gauge your spice level on a little more heat than you might normally expect from typical American joints.

This place is often great. Last visit was hit or miss. Appetizers were delicious. The Thai tea lacked flavor as did the mango sweet rice... but the mango was super juicy. Hope they continue to provide the awesome quality we are used to. Looking forward to a few improvements to bring back that authentic flavor on the next visit.

I am from out of town but have been able to takeout and dine in here. Potstickers and fresh rolls are so decliois! The staff is friendly and service is fast.

My favorite place to eat because the food actually tastes like real food. The chicken is never rubbery like other restaurants. My usual order is kow pad with chicken and spring rolls. My only complaint would be I noticed the prices went up and the menu online does not reflect that price change.

Unironically some of the best tasting food I've ever had. Thai food is good in general, but it's hard to beat this place. They're a bit pricey, but honestly cheap considering how much food you get and the quality of the food. Everything I have tried here has been phenomenal.

Crab rangoon. Do you like it? I sure do and they have arguably the best. Never had a bad dish, but the rangoon keeps me returning. Keep in mind this isn't cheap food, but I think it's worth it. They may say 20-25min wait, but it's always been done before the 20min mark. Never had a messed up order or bad service. As Rockford residents, we need to keep them around. It's one of the few gems we have here.

Tasty and quick lunch service, but wow, it's expensive. Pad Kee mao and Thai iced tea cost me $28 after tip. It was good, but definitely a treat.

Ordered a Beef pho and an order of orange chicken. I barely got any beef on my pho! least amount of meat I have gotten from any place in town. The sticky rice was also very mushy. Food quality has deteriorated in this place also I noticed that they charge 9.25% tax I thought the tax in Rockford was 8.75%. In addition we did not get any forks or napkins with our order.

Sisters Thai is trying, I'll at least say that about my experience. I've lived in several areas of the country and had many versions of Thai food. This was average. The menu leads your mouth to water, and then you get your entree and it's just okay. The restaurant itself is cozy but also very loud. The server did her best, but much like a lot of places right now, they were understaffed and the service could have been much better. The hostess was impolite at best. I might try it again during lunch but was not wowed by any means.

What a gem! Staff is super friendly and attentive. Down to earth really which is just great. They have local beer on tap. Their glasses are chilled. Their water cups are nice and clean and the water tastes good. The food is excellent. If you have a hard time figuring out what you want just ask what the most popular things are and go from there. I really didn't think I would enjoy this as much as I did. I will definitely be back!

I keep wanting this place to be delicious! Instead it’s boring, every time. I haven’t ordered here for over a year, and for good reason I guess. I paid almost $18 for a Pad Kee Mao with extra veggies, I got what seems like a pretty normal amount of veggies, but got a load of crinkle cut carrots and onions and a some thinly sliced peppers. When you order vegetables in lieu of a protein, please make it worth my while and worth my money. Sad, seems like they stopped using any kind of sauce. Thai food for white folks.

Super meh. Got some Panang. It had green peppers in it, which I’ve never seen in Thai food. Dislike. Flavor was ok. Bland. Definitely Thai food for the midwestern palate.

Coming from Lake Geneva, Wi for an Art Exhibit, we were recommended to eat at Sisters Thai Cafe for dinner by some regulars we had just met and had them join us. Upon our arrival, I realized this is not your typical Thai restaurant . The atmosphere was dark and moody with incredible tin ceilings, brick and wood walls. Full and long antique bar served all sorts of delicious cocktails. They served us really lovely fruitful wine, complicated and yet delicate Thai cuisine with Jasmine rice. Service was top notch and then what impressed me the most is the fact that the owner took us under her wing and delighted us with her smile and excellent stories. An incredibly wonderful place to be, and spend some time with good friends. Highly recommend.

We went for a birthday dinner and they had a table set for us. Very nice! Food was a notch above other Asian restaurants in town in terms of quality & presentation. Service was very attentive. It's a relaxing, beautiful, and quieter ambiance.

I thought the pinnaple fried rice left a bit to be desired. Which for a thai place losses it a star. The rest was great. Always done takeout but it looks like a nice place for dine in.

Great experience! My boyfriend and I ate here and had great things to say. The portions are large and very tasty! You're paying for high-quality ingredients. The service was excellent. Not once did I ask for more water because it was replaced before my glass could be empty. It's a tight squeeze, but you want a seat!! Definitely get to Sisters and try their delicious food.

My wife and I started off with the fresh rolls. Pretty good. I also had the Thai tea which was delicious. My wife ordered Pad Kee Mao with beef. The plate came without silverware so we had to wait for our server to walk around to ask for it. I ordered Nam Kow, which came lukewarm. We finished our dinner with mango rice. The warm rice paired well with the mango. Overall, a decent place to try but it will not be someplace we will visit soon.

Food is consistently good and authentic!

I visited from out of town so I decided to stop at this place and I was racially profiled and treated poorly after soon as I entered this establishment. I ignored the first red flags of disrespect from the waitress and manager as I politely ordered my entrée and waited for my dinner. I ordered the Kow Pad Pineapple with Veggies. About 6 bites in I found a long black strand of hair under my rice. I notified my waitress and she rudely told me it wasn’t their fault or anyones hair from the kitchen or any of their employees. I did not receive an apology or any accommodations from either the waitress or the manager. I was rudely addressed about the situation like it was my fault that I had found someone’s hair under my Rice. They are very unprofessional and have poor customer service. I do not recommend anyone to eat here especially of color they will stare you down with disgust and treat you unfair. I sure hope they address this poor behavior in this way establishment. No one should have to feel the way I felt. And I still Tipped more than 30% of my bill.

I had a distracted and slow server but the food is incredible. Try the chicken wings appetizer and the pot stickers. Then go for the crispy chicken as main entree...trust me, you won't regret it!!!

Once I tasted the food I thought the prices were definitely too high, the atmosphere may not be as nice but the pho on 7th street is better.

Thai cuisine is something I don't get to have very often so I was more than happy to try something new in my hometown. The restaurant is located in downtown, however, there is a parking lot nearby to take advantage of if street parking is not an option.

The interior of the restaurant is very beautiful and the staff are kind and attentive.

The food is fresh, visually appealing, and very tasty. The portions are generous and you will certainly get your fill while you enjoy the lovely Thai flavors.

Ok. This is me and my bestie's fave thai place in the area, and one of my fave restaurants across categories. Every single thing ordered is always excellent. Last weekend i went with a group of friends, including a james beard award-winning food journalist who just moved from new York to Chicago, and everyone loved everything. There were even vegetarians among us who couldn't stop raving.

This place is amazing! We had chicken satay, lettuce wraps, garlic chicken, and teriyaki chicken. They were all amazing. We also shared bites of our friends crab rangoon and pad thai which was also so flavorful. Service was great! We only get 1 hour for lunch, we got in and out in time. We will definitely be back!!

Beef pad thai was delicious with a generous portion! Pot stickers were spectacular, came out crispy.

Just moved here from Washington State a few months ago. I was looking for a good little Thai place and from the reviews, Sisters Cafe looked like a good one.
I placed an order of 3 phad Thai and one order of tom ka gai soup (lemongrass coconut soup with chicken.) The girl who was taking my order said "tom kha what??" I repeated "tom kha gai." She said "what's that?"
That should have been my first clue. I explained that it's tom kha soup with chicken.
Then I asked for some dry Thai chili on the side. She informed me that they don't have that. That should have been my second clue. She said my order would be ready in 20 minutes. When I went to pick it up, all the staff were White. I myself am White but this was another red flag.
The total for 3 orders of phad Thai and one soup was $72.00.
The food itself was not bad but certainly not something I'd ever go back for, even though they assured me that the cook was from Laos. You can do much much better at a more reasonable price by going to an actual little Thai restaurant. Well, I wanted to try it and I did. But I will never go back to Sisters Cafe. I'm extremely disappointed.

One of my favorites in Rockford. I have yet to try something on the menu I do not like. I really love the crispy chicken and pad thai the most though. The pad thai is a little sweeter than other places I have eaten but it is delicious.

Second and last time we "visit". Took my husband to celebrate his big Birthday! Only to be disappointed about the entire experience. We were the only ones there besides a table with 3 women. The place was so cold I left my jacket on, server commented she was cold too. Food arrived COLD, the bottom of bowl was warm. The Ginger chicken lacked flavor, impossible to imagine, I know, no ginger? The sauce could have been dish water. My Pangang was cold and no sauce, what? I am from Calif and have always had Panang hot and bubbly in metal container with warmer. The rice was wet and mushy? No condiments, no level of heat asked? We know how to cook. It was SO disappointing, as we have only eaten indoors 1 other time during our 2+ years of pandemic. Complain? How? I really believe I couldn't complain without being rude. We took a few bites, took it home and added ginger and seasonings the next day, hate to waste more $ and salvage it I made Jasmine rice in 20 min. The owner was present. Save your money and spare the horrible experience. Made my husband a sandwich, which he enjoyed. Good thing I baked him a cake from scratch! Meanwhile, I was embarrassed his birthday meal would be a bad memory.

Carry out. The server was as professional as they get:A+. She took my order at the bar and asked me I’d like something to drink while I wait. Cool. Now the Food. I ordered Pad Thai Tofu and Penang Curry with chicken. My wife said the flavor of the Pad Thai was “just okay” but that 3/4 the wt. was noodles with very sparse veggies. 2/3 the sauce for the Penang Curry was in the bottom of the plastic, carry out bag. Word of advice, anything as soupy as a Penang Curry should be boxed in a plastic container with a lid or placed in a fold pack box and NOT in a flimsy styrofoam clam. Do the cooks sample what they’re cooking? They should because my curry was BLAAAAAND as all get out. The chicken was also dry but tolerable. The veggies in the dish were fresh but again, sparsely portioned. This was the third strike from either dining in and lastly ordering take out. I’ll say this, at 6pm, the restaurant was fairly busy for a Monday. I honestly have no idea why. The best part was the professionalism of the server, period. They are no Thai Hut. Sisters restaurant is attractive and hip enough inside and they serve wine and spirits. Fantastic! The food, however (again, I’ve tried several items on a few occasions..) is just kinda blah. I’d say, try to reinvent yourself with heart and soul because I truly want to enjoy your menu.

Food is always delicious here and the service is stupendous. Ashley was very attentive and made the experience delightful.
