I have a regular location in Uptown which I’ve been go to years, but in the Oak Park area, I haven’t found a go to spot. I would definitely come back, but recommend a more welcoming vibe from the hostess.

We ordered the food to go. It took about 15 mins after we placed our order. The parking situation is standard for DT Oak Park. The inside of the restaurant is so nice, warm and welcoming -- we'll be coming here to dine in soon. The staff were super attentive and hospitable.

Tom ka (coconut soup) with chicken and Steamed rice. One spicy one mild. They marked the spicy order (much appreciated)

This place is a hidden gem in Oak Park. Everything is always fresh and tasty. The Thai Ice Tea is one of the best I’ve ever had, I can say the same about their Pas Thai. It’s sooo good. I recommend this place to all my friends and family, they also love it.

This is my second time to eat here, the fried rice is not expensive but they give no soy sauce and only 4:shrimp in the order of fried rice, I failed to mention the first time I ordered, now the second time it is the same, the only way I would order again, I would mention this and see what they say; it was good and their egg rolls are the best---

Been coming here since high school I absolutely love the food from here.I always get the New Pot Noodles with Curry Puffs and it never misses.

The dishes were amazing. I got the catfish and tom. Yum soup and shrimp and blankets and fresh shrimp spring rolls and it was all excellent. The white staff was excellent. My waiter's name was Tony and everything was wonderful. I will definitely be back again. There's an amazing variety here. Excellent desserts and even chocolate and tiramisu. Something to please. Everyone well made fresh and delicious

This place is great the food and service are 10/10

Everything was delicious, and the hostess is very nice :) The inside of the place is also much larger (and much prettier) than I expected. I hought that the lunch specials were the perfect size, and the food was prepared well. My only comment (and reason for 4/5 stars) on the food is that the green tea cheesecake was delicious, but it's a bit hard. Will definitely visit again, though!

We ordered for pickup as we have been doing for at least 15 years. Tonight was better than ever. We had Jade Kee Mao, Pad Thai with Shrimp, and Green Curry with Chicken and some egg rolls. Everything seemed even better than ever - maybe some new and improved recipes?

I had the pad see eww and I must say is some of the best I've had in the area. I typically have to travel to the south suburbs to get my favorite, but it was so good.

I went to dine in and within 10 minutes of me arriving I saw three roaches, two of them were on the wall, and one was on my table near my food. I was so disgusted I paid for my food and left. As I was paying for my food, a roach was crawling near my food on the table and the waitress did not seem to not care like this was a normal occurrence. Bad service and disgusting environment. Will not be going back.

Never written a review before and haven’t had the Tom yum soup for 2 or 3 years but was reminiscing on it with a friend. No dish I’ve had compares I would order two containers of it everyday for a while 😂 really looking forward to coming back and visiting just for new pot

I am not familiar with traditional Thai Food, I can only compare the food served at New Pot with other Thai restaurants within the area. I found the Panang entree here lacking in flavor.

I've been here a couple times and there hasn't been something that really makes me feel like I've got to come back. Sure they have good portions and cheaper prices, but that's about all they've got.
The food is okay for Thai food but just doesn't have that amazing food quality where you HAVE to eat here. Its a good place to being you're own beer and hang out with some friends and have some cheap food.
Update 2023: I have become fond of their Pad Siew they seem to have a unique flavor profile that few places mimic. They're prices, like most places since 2020 have creeped up a bit more than would make them a super cheap place. If it keeps their food fresh and of good quality, then it's certainly worth it.

Chicken Curry Fried Rice, my new favorite Thai restaurant!!!

I work near by. I come here not as often and they don’t disappoint. I do love their new pot fried rice, and their mango smoothie. Will try something different the next time I’m around.

Twice in a row ai have gotten terrible food. The seafood special last time was bland and chewy, a bunch of boiled meat. The Mongolian beef today was bland and soggy, to call it stir fry is a joke. Never ordering from this place again.

Foul smelling, waitress disrespectful

A CHICAGO HIDDEN GEM. We got the crab Rangoon, tempura shrimp, fried rice, and Shanghai noodles with chicken and oh my goodness it was delicioussssss. I finished everything. We also got a strawberry smoothie and as a person who HATES smoothies that was the best smoothie I’ve had in my life it was so good and refreshing and it tasted so fresh. All of our food was hot and flavorful especially the noodles. Not even exaggerating those were the best noodles I’ve had in my life. Their staff is so polished and respectful. And their sweet and sour sauce was bomb!

Tom Kah all broth. Crab rangoon very bland oily. Items on menu really changed from 6 most ago. Portions smaller and ingredients lack desirability.

Ordered boba online. It was frozen when it didn't say frozen. I don't like frozen boba so I waited an hour and a half for it to thaw to drink it. The tapioca pearls were mushy. Flavor was pretty good though, taro.

I can only speak for what I ordered, but my dishes were very bland and even watery. I am not sure who would benefit from not giving these more flavor, if there is a shortage on their end of some sort. Unfortunately, I view ordering from this restaurant as a mistake and money lost.

I would leave a rating less than one but the waitress was so disrespectful and demeaning that it ruined the meal for me and the visitors I brought. I will NOT step foot in there again.

I tried Singapore Noodles and hot tea. Food was delicious, everything in the restaurant was tidy and clean. Staff friendly and our food was served within 10 min.

Oh my, the pandemic has not been kind to the kitchen. Ordered two different chicken stir fry dishes - yet they looked and tasty the same...bleh. The red curry was diluted. And the fried calamari looked and tasted like onion rings.

We gave this place a few tries, brought our friends, got different dishes––we will not be back. Every single dish is exceedingly sweet, even when it seems like it wouldn't be. We've gotten pad thai, panang curry, rama noodles, and basil fried rice and all were so sweet that no other flavor could come through.

We ordered takeout for an early dinner and it was ready quickly (20 mins) and picking up was easy (used the pick-up only temporary parking spots out front). We got the basil fried rice (delicious) and the Jade Kee Mao (also delicious) but there was almost no spice on either dish and the Jade Kee Mao is specifically listed as "hot".

Egg rolls were how I liked them - crispy wrappers, crispy filling, hot & fresh. Curry Panang with chicken was flavorful, with a bit of heat, and quite delicious. A bountiful portion.

This was a lovely place that I visited with a good friend.
Pros: great ambience, awesome location, indoor and outdoor dining, reasonable lunch menu, delicious food!
Con: my friend didn't like her smoothie (she said it was too much milk, but that could've been her preference)
Overall, it was a gem, and I would definitely visit again.

The green curry was very sad, i was embarrassed for them, very watery, very little flavor and the beef didn't taste real, more like chipped beef. Will definitely be spending my money elsewhere, which is a shame because they were close & cheap. Sigh...

Very helpful staff and great food! We placed a giant order for an office and the person I spoke to on the phone offered to open the kitchen early to accommodate us. They also labeled all the food which is a big help. And most importantly--the food was delicious!

This restaurant has very poor customer service and displays racial discrimination. I was definitely made to feel like my money was not valued or appreciated. While being serviced at the register, a caucasian customer walked up and rudely interrupted. The cashier (who is also the Manager) immediately started taking care of the customer without acknowledging or apologizing. When this disrespectful treatment was bought to the Manager’s attention, his response was “this customer is in a hurry”. Upon exiting the restaurant after deciding not to patronize them, the customer that rudely interrupted decided to say a last negative comment to me in which I did not respond. I will never visit this establishment again.

I've been going to New Pot for 15+ years and the food is always excellent. They have an amazing variety of appetizers and unique noodle dishes that cannot be found at any other restaurant in the area, such as the crispy chow fun. The staff are always welcoming, and dishes can be customized with your choice of meat, and there is the option of no meat and extra vegetables as well.

The place is nais, and clean; I ordered a pad thai tofu it was very fast, but it was a big disappointment bunch of cook noches whit no flavor like 5 pices of tofu they don't have ideas what Thailand food is the very special thing is the flavor snd spices they use it was like steamed noodles and no mention the 10$ price they have for this stop one time by accident it won't happen again

Nice restaurant located in the heart of Oak Park. You can tell it's family owned and loved. The little kids working on their homework at the front are adorable. Really put us in a good frame of mind for our lunch/dinner.

The food is reasonably priced. We started out with the spring rolls, chicken satay, and had the lunch special of soup and pot stickers.

Spring rolls were very delicious however the plum sauce was drenched over it which I didn't like because it made everything too sweet. The satay was good but I've had better. I feel like it was a little on the dry side and there wasn't enough sauce. The soup was a pleasure to eat, it was just the right amount to get our appetite going and the pot stickers were a good addition.

Our meals came very quickly, right as we were finishing up the appetizers. I had Pad Thai with tofu, though it was good I felt like again it was lacking in more flavor. Maybe there wasn't enough sauce? I'm not sure. But I feel like it wasn't something I really want to go back to eat because it was delicious, more because it was a lunch and we needed to get going.

All in all, the food is good, not incredible but good. It's reasonably priced, and the environment has a warm feel to it. I will be coming back just not in a hurry.

So I ate here first time on 2/18/2019, ordered the basil fried rice with shrimp and beef (beef was not good quality), fried pot stickers, and cucumber salad. I returned the wonton noodle soup because it was not good quality, the dumplings were more doughy and the broth just tasted like hot water. Now they questioned me on why I didn't like the soup, I told them. So the next 2 day, i'm doubled over in pain, cramping, nauseous, watery diarrhea, can't eat or drink ANYTHING! My mom ate there as well but said she felt fine. So now i'm thinking they did something to MY food because I returned the soup. First off, i'm not eating or playing for anything that doesn't taste the way it should soooo nit my fault you had to take an L on that soup. I've never felt like this in my life after eating at an establishment!! If in fact I did get food poison from them (per my doctor after knowing everything that occurred time wise and I hadn't eaten anything else) I ...will not be eating at new pot restaurant ever again, because they don't respect the customer if you complain. Hot Mess!

This is is worst Thai food I have ever had. The Tom Yum is so sweet that lost the subtle balance of hot and sour flavor of traditional Thai Tom Yum. The mushroom pices floating on the surface of the soup look like body parts. The beef curry, tastes like what left after Curry took a five minute's shower. It looks like curry, but tastes like a mixture of 90 percent water and 10 percent curry powder. I would never been there and don't water your money there. BTW, I used to live in New York and DC and just move to this area. Hopefully it is not representing Oak park restaurant'' level.

Nice Thai restaurant. Kitchen is open so you can see what's being cooked. Clean and reasonable.

Absolute favorite place for Thai food, my favorite meal is either New Pot Kee Mao or Pad Thai with the New Pot Fried Rice.

Good Thai restaurant only problem is lately they have new cooks who still need training.
