Le Mekong Vietnamese Restaurant offers fine dining. We serve the best Vietnamese cuisine you can find. Quality You Can Taste! Our chefs are here to provide you with the most enjoyable experience possible. Put your dining experience in our capable hands.
Let me start off by saying that the food is great! Love it!! But the service is awful and we’ve been coming here for years and it’s never been great. We haven’t ate in the restaurant for awhile but the food takes awhile to get to your table from what I remember. We mostly do takeout and it’s never been a great experience. They always say 30 minutes and I get there late (because I know from experience it won’t be ready), pay for the food and have to wait another 15-30 minutes. Just within the last week we got take out and I called at 5:22pm. They told me 30 minutes and I got there at 5:57 to pick up. My food was not ready until 6:19! If you’re in a rush, do not bother. If anything increase they need to increase their wait times! I will still order, but then you’re not wasting my time.
This is by far the best meal I have had in a very long time. The place is so comfortable and the food is amazing. Sadly I am only in town for the night. I would highly recommend a stop and this is one of the places I will fly back to just to get a meal here. Very much out of place in Moline. I do not think they know what a Gem they have here.
Edit: I was able to make it into town again last night and stopped again. Just as good as it was the first time.
I give it 2.5-3 stars. Around 2020, this restaurant was really nice and had generous portions at reasonable prices for the portion size.
Now, in 2023, the portion size has decreased, almost about half (at least for take out. I can't comment on the dine in), and the prices have gone up slightly. The food still tastes pretty darn good, though, and you can tell a lot of things are made from hand, like the sweet & sour sauce (best I've ever had). The item in the picture came like this and cost $17.95.
Our first visit to the Le MeKong.
Suggested by Google Maps according to our dining history.
This was an absolutely delicious meal and experience!
We started with a steaming pot of Black Almond tea. Followed by the Royal Egg Rolls and Chicken and vegetable dumplings.
Our entrees included the #42 Spicy Chicken and #62 Shrimp and deluxe vegetable. Both included Jasmine rice.
Our waiter is also the owner. He was very attentive and very charming. This restaurant is a premiere establishment and a MUST for the foodie in you!
This place is amazing. It is pricey but you get authentic food with a nice experience. Never had Vietnamese food before but the other reviews say it is and the food was phenomenal. The rolls don’t disclose how many are in an order. 3 of us all got 1 order each and there were different quantities for each one we got. They were still great so, hard to be upset. My shrimp roll (1 roll) came with a peanut sauce which was great. My friends got the Pho and it came with condiments and sides like lemon and jalapeños. I had the hot and spicy beef which came with a bowl of rice to mix it with.
Definitely a nice place to go if you’re celebrating something or wanting to go somewhere nice.
(Also saw a harsh review where lady said she paid 100+?for just her and her husband?)
I was there on my birthday with 3 other people and it was less than 25-30 a person.
People lying for no reason lol.

Nice place and popular with locals. Everything very nice but pho is overpriced.
Waited Ling time for 2 drinks and ordered 2 appetizers. Got drinks and table after us with 3 people got appetizers and dinners before we received anything. WOULD NEVER GO BACK. Over an hour for never getting anything but cocktails
AMAZING! I got the poulet tomato crepe and it was outstanding! The portions are HUGE and we’ll worth the price. Tony is amazing as well!
Classic! Lovely menu of teas and wines. All the Vietnamese dishes you could want. Served in a very elegant setting.
La comida es deliciosa y el servicio es muy rápido. Tienen gran variedad de tés asiaticos y platillos.

Food and service was very great, everything seemed fresh. Could of used a bit more rice, other than that no complaints.
The food was so great! Friendly service as well. Had a lot of wines to choose from as well. Don't go if you are looking for cheap fast food. It's a sit down and enjoy type of restaurant. Very yummy!

My friend told me Le Mekong now does crepes for breakfast so we went this morning. I had the Parisien (ham, egg, and spinach) and it was quite good.
I've been eating here for literally decades and it remains one of my favorite restaurants of all time. Wonderful, warm owners and delicious food.
Le Mekong is a wonderful little Vietnamese restaurant. The owner sat us at a table and made wonderful food recommendations. He recommended the egg rolls, which were the best in the Quad City area. My wife and I shared the Mi Soba. It was the first time we have tried it. It was absolutely delicious. The restaurant was very cute and quiet. When we were there, we were the first patrons in the restaurant, and only one other group came in before we were finished. The other group were "regulars". They recommended trying something different every time you stop by and won't be disappointed. We definitely plan on going back.
We love this restaurant! We came in close to closing, but were welcomed warmly. The food is outstanding. My husband had Canh Chau Shrimp soup, and Hot and Spicy Beef. I had Grilled Lemongrass Pork. I don’t know that I’ll ever try anything else here, the pork is that exceptional. My husband and friend both had a dirty martini, also exceptional. Exceptional food and very kind people. Give it a try.
Today was opening day for Crepes and Galletes--the weekend breakfast side. The room is beautiful and clean, the owner welcomed us in. His wife, the other owner who is also the cook can be seen smiling through the kitchen door. The menu is unique, and I love that the Vietnamese culture shines through. If I saw pancakes and hashbrowns on the menu I probably would not have stayed. We got a Nutella and banana crepe, 10/10, not overly stuffed like you'd find in a usual American spot--you can actually appreciate the crepe itself. I also got a BBQ beef galette. The flavors were so interesting its worth a try.
Dining room needs update, bit the food was fantastic. Staff was courteous and helpful, portions were perfectly sized.
The flavor of the dishes were spectacular
Slowwww service and disappointing food… being married to a Laotian man means I get to have a lot of southeastern Asian food and this is some of the worst pho I’ve ever had. No Thai basil? No cilantro? I would not even call it pho,
It was watery broth with a few pieces of green onion and a ton of bean sprouts and white onion. Nothing about it was appetizing. Try something else… literally anything else before you come here.
Great atmosphere, service and overall delicious food. I was reluctant to eat the fried egg roll because the chicken smelled bad. However, I loved my chicken-ginger curry coconut dish. A little pricey and not recommended for those on a tight budget.
Excellent food in a great environment. Definitely going back

Fantastic food and always great service. We had a group of 20, lots of kids, and they let us order ahead of time and served food within 5 minutes of us walking in. So easy with the kids!
We ate early and had quick service. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, more upscale than most restaurants. There are many vegetarian options, many made with Tofu. The food was good but portions are on the smaller size but the price are not. My curry with vegetables had only 3 broccoli pieces, 8 baby carrots and some zucchini slices which were still on the crunchy side but the dish did have a fair amount of tofu and the flavor was good & spicy like I like it. The Pho was not vegetarian, which is what I would have preferred. My husband had the Ambassador Beef, again a smaller sized portion but he said it was very flavorful.
Food was delicious! Egg rolls and fried rice were great. Wish the salmon was wild-caught. Great service! I'm giving a 4 instead of a 5 b/c it was over priced (2 egg rolls for $6!) and we had to wait over an hour for our food to arrive. There was only one waiter but he was very nice.
Update: There is an additional charge of 4% for using credit card. They said it would be removed if paid by check. The 4% additional charge was not removed even when paying by cash.
Beautiful restaurant and nice staff. The tea was good but weak. The prices were ok but our dinners were the size of a lunch portion.
Always, always, always exceeds my expectations! The food is so fresh & delicious - the service is phenomenal & the restaurant is immaculate! Highly recommend!
The waiter sat me at a very small table in the back of their restaurant right next to the bathrooms even though there were several open tables in the front. I ask to move, he then just sat me at a another very small table right next to the first table right next to the bathrooms. I ask to move again. I then pointed to a table near the windows away from the bathrooms. I was seated there, but then no one came to ask if I wanted anything to drink. I sat there for a long time without any service. Finally, I signaled to the waiter, he nodded at me, and walked right by, leaving me still without service. After my husband and I ordered, we again waited for a super long time. We noticed the waiter was at the table next to us talking to the couple there. Finally the waiter left that table and brought us our food, which was now cold because the waiter talked to the couple for a very long time and neglected to bring us our food when it was ready. The waiter never came back to check on us and ask if our food was fine. At the end of the meal, I went to use the restroom and a toilet was completely back up pouring dirty water all over the floor which now was flooding into the one and only other clean stall. I will not return. My husband and I are sad because this use to be one of our date night restaurants we always went to before we were married.
Blandest pho I've ever had, tiny bit of bean sprouts, no cilantro or basil. Also twice the price as other Vietnamese restaurants.
In a couple decades of dinners at Le Mekong I can honestly say I've never had a bad dish or an unpleasant experience. Tuesday night's birthday dinner followed that pattern: the restaurant was quiet, the owner and his son handled the table service with aplomb and good cheer, and the food was uniformly excellent.
Not the friendliest service , food not as good as it was in the past ?
Does not open at 4:30 as posted. Opened 15 minutes later. Food good as always. Was a bit cold as heat was just turned on. Hope the restaurant stays open because it is so good. Would be 5 star if open on time.
The dinner I had was fabulous. The service superb, with the waiter giving us his recommendations when requested. The atmosphere is great.
Love the spicy chicken with white rice and hot chili paste. So good!
I love this place, having first come here over 30 years. Still amazing, excellent Vietnamese cuisine. I see that they have caved and now offer pho but if you get pho here, you are making a big mistake. The royal egg rolls invade my dreams periodically. Lemongrass pork, Saigon beef, Da Nang shrimp are my favorites. A wonderful mix of Asian and continental flavors and styles. Also Brooke Shields ate here in the early 90’s.
The menu and atmosphere of this place are both amazing! This is an amazing restaurant to come for formal and slightly less than formal dinners. Phenomenal!
Always good and fresh.
The food was good. We tried a few different teas from their large list and enjoyed them both. The restaurant itself looked very nice. Even though they seemed short staffed our service was still speedy enough.
Good food and great service at a beautiful restaurant. The drinks are very good and the food is full of flavors with big portions. Prices are fine and the restaurant is very clean.
This is my favorite restaurant ever. The Pho is amazing!! I love coming here, and the owner is nice.
My favorite restaurant. 20 years and I have never been disappointed.
For close to 30 years. I've been eating there. The foods be consistent and excellent every time. You won't be disappointed.
Truly Vietnamese! So amazingly delicious and such a comfortable setting. They are very accommodating and friendly. If you want authentic Vietnamese food this is your place!
Awesome food!!
Great food amazing atmosphere, superb for a nice family dinner
Always excellent
Fantastic food & great service. They have carryout available so you can still enjoy their food while dine in is shut down under COVID 19 restrictions.
The food is always great as is the atmosphere. Always great for a Friday night date night.
The food is always delicious and just like you remember it. Clean, friendly and helpful. A favorite.
I've been going here since I was a kid! Love the flavors <3
Excellent food! Everyone is very nice who works there
Great food & service, very reasonably priced. Excellent wine & cocktail selections.
First time in the Quad Cities and I had heard a lot about it. Did not disappoint! Had a great meal and really enjoyed the ambiance.
Curry is fine, doesn't justify cost
Great food and atmosohere
Le Mekong Restaurant in Moline, IL, is our favorite restaurant for lunch and dinner. The food and service is excellent. Great atmosphere. The Vietnamese food is pleasantly different than Chinese. My wife enjoys the vegetable fried rice. I enjoy the meat and shrimp dishes. Parking available near the restaurant, and there are parking areas just north and south of the restaurant. Please do try out this restaurant.
Good food and made reasonably quickly
Amazing owner, amazing food, go you will not forget it.
Food was amazing, atmosphere and people working were! so nice as well. I thought prices would be higher with how fancy it looked but prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality of the food.
Awesome food along with the service. Looking forward to going back. They have a gluten free menu.
If you can name a place in the QC's that has better food, staff, quality, prices and an overall A+ dining experience, please tell me. This is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!
Best vietnamese cuisine in the quad cities, fresh ingredients, feels homemade.
Probably the best meal in the Quad cities fantastic food!!
Great food... Wonderful pho😊
As always, our Le Mekong experience was enjoyable and the food was great.
Amazing, and fresh food. I wish they had more gluten free options. However, the small menu made it a little easier to order. We'll definitely be back. PS service was top notch 😉
Wonderful food, good wine selection, and the iced Vietnamese coffee is a perfect dessert! Been going here for 25 years. Love the family that has owned it the whole time. It is well worth the trip.
The most delicious food...excellently prepared
I feel that Le Mekong is the best kept secret in the QC. Such delicious food and peaceful environment. On a busy work day it is like an oasis for lunch.
I wish I could give it more stars. The food was so delicious and the staff gracious.
It's okay, more Americanize food. Lot's a drink selections. Very disappointed in the pho only 5 thin slice of meat, for the price though was expecting a little bit more. Nice place to try if you don't want authentic and just trying new food
Delish with a matching atmosphere
This is our favorite family restaurant. We love the food, the staff, the ambiance, and did I mention the Food? It’s a Moline Must!

Just as good as it was in 1985!
Awesome food and drinks too
Was dying to try their beef pho but they were sold out... ended up with a spicy chicken and coconut curry dish wasn't disappointed but still looking forward to trying their pho!!
Really good food and nice dining experience.
I am a "charter" customer of Le Mekong in Moline. Though I no longer live in the Quad Cities, it is my #1 choice to gather with friends when I visit. I never miss dining there on my return trips. HIGHEST QUALITY in Vietnamese food, service, atmosphere. I just told Thom Pham and his son,Tony Pham, restaurants may have fine food, but guests return to a restaurant where they feel they are a welcomed and valued as a customer. This has been a major key to Le Mekong's longevity in addition to their delicious menu choices. A grand family owned and run family restaurant!
Delicious food, warm friendly atmosphere. Lunch prices are a bit high.
Excellent food and quite spicy
Food Is great, atmosphere is good could be updated,my order out of 10 @our table got misplaced,I ended eating my meal after the others had finished. I wasn't compensated.
Best eggrolls in town!
The food was excellent. Great tea and wine selection, and a comfortable atmosphere.
Servers weren't constantly attending you, which personally, I love, but others may see it as poor service. Depends on the person I suppose.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the experience and would recommend to anyone.
Very nice atmosphere, food was very tasty. Will go back.
Best food we ate while in Moline, highly recommend!
Not from this area, good food
You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Best in the Quad Cities!!!
Twenty years ago, our rehearsal dinner was catered here. We moved shortly after. The food is just as good and has not changed in that 20 years. It is worth many trips to sample all the authentic dishes.
I have visited Moline several times in the last few years and have had the pleasure of dining at Mekong one or more times on each visit. Never disappointed. The decor is inviting and relaxing and the food preparation is equisite. Tony the owner is friendly and always makes you feei he is glad to see you. I look forward to eating delicious meals there whenever I visit Moline.
Great food!
One of my favorite restaurants in Moline. I've tried several dishes on the menu, and so far they have not disappointed me. The owner is also very personable and seems to care about his customers.
I ordered Beef pho and it took 20 min to prepare. I don’t mind about waiting but they didn’t tell me about they are out of basil leaf. Right before I ate I search for basil leaf in the soup and didn’t found them so I ask them. They said they are out of basil leaf for today. Common!! they barely have customers and what kind of Vietnamese Restaurants out of basil leaf when it’s part of Pho soup. They put broccoli instead. The price are so expensive and the food is so little.
Good Vietnamese food. Also great selection of teas
Spicy chicken is the best dish, they have a wide selection of hot teas
Had the spring rolls and hot and spicey chicken. Personally, it needed more heat in the chicken dinner. Both the entree and the spring roll were delicious! Service was consistently excellent throughout our dining experience.
Amazing flavors but be prepared to wait. 5 stars for the food, 2 for the service, 4 for the atmosphere. 3.67 overall.
Excellent menu options. Slightly more upscale. Quiet, secluded, romantic.
Great food
I've been here several times. The service and food have always been lovely!
Always good food and service
Awesome food! Great service! Awesome food!
Awesome Vietnamese food and friendly service
Food was good. Not as authentic but good. Very pricey for Vietnamese food, but I figure since there's little competition they can charge these prices. Nice atmosphere.
Overall a terrible experience. When we sat down, we were one of 5 tables with any people at them, all of which were parties of 2-4--between the two waitresses there. It took almost 10 minutes for them to come ask for our drinks, and almost another 10 before we actually got them (tea and water was all we ordered). After we ordered our food, a few other tables filled up and our service became even more sparse. It took almost an HOUR for three orders of Pho to show up. During that time I had to ask each waitress once for more water--and in the end, I got up and grabbed the water container from behind the bar myself just so I could have something to drink. There was no sense of urgency amongst the wait staff, and the restaurant was not filled to a point where they were constantly moving. I saw more than once one of the waitresses on her phone in the back just surfing for a few minutes before coming back out to ignore us longer.
The only redeeming quality is that the Pho was quite good. If you dont value your time and want some tasty food, this is the place to go. If you are in any sort of time schedule whatsoever, I would suggest avoiding at all cost.
Best kept secret in town!!!
My favorite restaurant ! My favorite entree is the spicy chicken with a side of royal egg rolls and almond tea to drink. But everything I've had there is superb. My husband orders the Pho.
Great food, bit pricey.
Deceived by rating, Highly disappointed on my visit!!!
Amazing authentic Vietnamese cuisine and my new favorite beer. Young's Double Chocolate Stout.
Still excellent even with all the new places in town. This is hands down excellent.
No body does it better. Been coming here for years. Food is superb, atmosphere is excellent, they treat you like your very special and the restaurant is beyond clean. I can't say enough great things about this restaurant. ..We are lucky to have a Vietnamese restaurant of this caliber in the Quadcities.
One of the best restaurant in Moline IL.
fantasic food would take a date here
It's definitely a classy side of town. Walked in accidentally and unknowingly with basketball shorts and an old t-shirt. Dress for the occasion.
