The soft shell crab is really nice. Sushi is fine and worth the price. The Lychee icecream is fantastic!

Diner Review №3

We got a couple things to share, and my favorites were the tamago nigiri and the spider roll. For dessert we got the mango sorbet and the Thai tea crème brûlée with lychee custard. The flavors were so rich and delicious. The service was fast and the employees were so nice, and the mood lighting was very relaxing and cozy.

Diner Review №4

Always an amazing experience. The freshest ingredients, prepared meticulously and tastefully. Never disappoints!

Diner Review №5

Absolutely spectacular. Sushi was fresh and delicious. Hot food was exciting. Great service. Evanston favorite.

Diner Review №6

What a delicious mother daughter date night dining in at Shinsen!

Shinsen is a fun, vibrant and modern Pan Asian cuisine restaurant.

Good for small get togethers and date nights.

Highly recommend the Sweet & Sour Calamari ( Lightly battered calamari sauteed with sweet and sour sauce, wasabi aioli, sesame seed, mango salad) as an appetizer! They almost look like tteokbokki at first. Very fresh and delicious.

The mango salad complements the calamari very well! The Pad See Eiw is definitely a must try!

The grilled pork in the dish is tender and juicy. We also got Spider Maki and Salmon Avocado Maki.

Lastly, don't forget to save room for dessert! We ordered Crème Brûlée (Thai Tea Creme Brûlée, with lychee ice cream, Valrhona chocolate crumble)to end our night.

Food service is on the slower side so do give yourself extra time when dining in at the restaurant.

Great service! The owner is very kind. The food is delicious and worth the prices.😋😋

Diner Review №9

tom yum ramen is out of this world!

Diner Review №10

Diner Review №11

Food and prices suck. There is a massive places with better sushi for so much cheaper, spider sushi taste like plastic. California not bad, soups are dreadful. First and last time. Look around, there is better options.

Diner Review №12

the ramen was horrible. 😭 do not get the tantanmen ramen from here it tasted incredibly bitter. I don’t think they did recipe testing at all?? They need retaste majority of their menu because the shoyu ramen was bland as hell, the oysters were too sour and acidic, and tantanmen was just bad. I usually finish ramen because no ramen is THAT bad but I literally couldn’t finish and I did not want to take it home.

I was expecting the tantanmen to have layers of flavors but when I first tried it, all I tasted was spice then nothing. It just tastes spicy. No chicken flavor, no pork flavor, nothing.

Honestly just don’t come here. There are so many better ramen options in Evanston, like ton-ichi, Hokkaido, tomo. The food here is overpriced and underwhelming.

Excellent array of high-quality sashimi, especially the fatty tuna.

Diner Review №16

This place is great, some of the best sushi Ive had. The miso soup is great. It is a bit pricey but it's worth it if you want to treat yourself

Diner Review №17

Diner Review №18

The indoor and outdoor dining areas are comfortable and tidy, and the indoor space is quite nice. The outdoor space is the sidewalk in front of the restaurant.

The staff are all friendly and wonderful.

The food is simply perfect, with flavors that reminded me of my trips to Japan.

Diner Review №19

Diner Review №20

Overpriced and misleading. One piece of salmon sashimi for $8 bucks! This isn’t NYC and the food is average. Cucumber roles were inedible. AVOID

Diner Review №21

Great sushi restaurant. Only one choice of rolls wrapped in cucumber but it’s delicious but a bit spicy.

Diner Review №22

We were with the family in the restaurant. Very tasty and atmospheric, service at the highest level!

Diner Review №23

Good food but service is really poor. I have negative emotions.

Diner Review №24

Absolutely amazing. The food was carefully curated with every detail in mind. The wagyu fried rice is phenomenal. The suke saki nigiri were the best I’ve ever had. Everything we had was incredible! Service was friendly with wonderful hospitality. Highly recommend Shinsen!

Diner Review №25

Hands down one of the best meals I’ve had! The nigiri was insanely good! Go get it!! Yum! Thank you chef.
Papaya salad 10/10
Beef shallots fried rice 9/10
Nigiri- fat tuna 20/10 and super white tuna 15/10

Went for lunch when our son was in town. We sat outside on a beautiful summer day, enjoyed every dish and thought the quality was outstanding. We will definitely return.

Diner Review №28

Delicious, made-to-order Japanese and Thai recipes. Excellent!

Diner Review №29

Diner Review №30

Everything we ordered tonight was delicious. We loved the papaya salad, tamarind noodle and spider maki. The restaurant has a cozy ambience and service was excellent. I highly recommend going. I look forward to going back.

Diner Review №31

Yes, it's overpriced but it's good!
You have to order that Black Widow sushi roll!

Diner Review №32

Shallot fried rice is a must, sushi was amazing. BYOB with corking fee, fyi
(Binnys is a couple blocks away)

Diner Review №33

Wow!! This place should be Michelin rated. Absolutely incredible taste, display, service, and atmosphere. Every dish we had was unique and flawless. Will be coming back many times over. I've never seen/tasted such an amazing sticky rice. Top tier wagyu fried rice and then delicious carpaccio. Don't skip out on this place!

Diner Review №34

The best dining experience my fiancé and I have had in a long time. Incredible service, beautiful food and, of course, absolutely delicious.

Highly recommend exploring the tea list, mocktails and ramen. There’s something on the menu for everyone and the staff add to the lovely experience. A new favorite.

UPDATE: This is my wife and I’s favorite spot in Evanston. There’s so much subtlety and bold flavor throughout the menu, and the people who work here are wonderful. Easily and consistently an amazing dining experience.

Diner Review №36

Wow! I always pass by this place and have never been in. I ordered delivery this evening and was blown away at the quality and flavor of all the food! I will definitely be going in next time to experience the atmosphere.

Diner Review №37

Really amazing food, was delicious

Diner Review №38

Phenomenal meal. Food was so thoughtfully prepared, and tasted excellent. Service for our group of 10 was great.

Diner Review №39

Shinsen was delicious! Super cozy spot in Evanston. I shared the shallow fried rice and got a shrimp tempura roll which was delicious. Would recommend! :)

Diner Review №41

I recently dined at this delightful Japanese/Thai fusion restaurant, and it was a flavor-packed experience. The Spicy Creamy Tom Yum Noodle broth was rich, tangy, and had just the right amount of heat. The egg noodles were perfectly cooked, and the fragrant aromatics—garlic, chilies, and kaffir lime leaves—elevated the dish. And fav dish was Yakiniku don. The savory-sweet yakiniku sauce tied everything together. It was comfort food at its finest. The Beef Tongue was our adventurous choice. Thinly sliced and grilled, it had a unique texture—tender but slightly chewy. The marinade was flavorful, and the hot
stone grill made it even more enjoyable (10/10 for this dish!!)

Diner Review №42

Truly enjoyed this lunch experience. From the drinks, entrees, dessert -- each one had an exceptional angle to them. I ordered the garlic fried rice with wagyu in a stone bowl. The garlic flavor was present but not over powering. Wagyu always works, and the clincher was the crunchy caramelized rice due to the stone bowl. We tried 3 desserts and they all were tasty with different leanings.

Diner Review №43

Shinsen is a contemporary Thai and Japanese restaurant that I have been patronizing for a few years now.

One of my go-to orders is their Yakitori (grilled chicken) Don and Yakiniku (grilled skirt steak) Don. I especially like the soy reduction that accompanies the rice, which I think is house-made and brewed for several hours.

Another one of my go-to orders is their Shallot Fried Rice with shrimp. It's unique and not like your traditional Thai or Japanese fried rice. My only complaint is that it comes with only three pieces of shrimp chopped up into little bite sizes. Shrimp fried rice at most, if not all, other restaurants come with at least five shrimps.

I also really like their robata skewers. Among the more ordinary skewers are shrimp, chicken wings, and asparagus while their more exotic skewers, if you are adventurous, are grilled chicken gizzard, chicken heart, and pork jowl (cheek). All of the skewers that I have ordered are good. It's a shame, however, that they have removed their pork belly skewer from the menu.

My second and final complaint, which I think is really important and therefore want to highlight is the way the skewers are packaged for carryout orders.

Every order of skewer is wrapped in aluminium foil and packed in its own styrofoam box, which is wasteful. If they're going to wrap every order of skewer in aluminium foil, then there's no problem with packing them in the same container. I also wish Shinsen would use a more environmental-friendly material rather than styrofoam containers for their skewers. I'm generally not a tree-hugger, but styrofoam is really harmful to the environment, cannot be recycled, and takes an incredibly long time to degrade.

I know that Shinsen cares a lot about presentation for their carryout orders, but there are ways to maintain good food presentation while being thoughtful about wastage and the environment. I hope Shinsen can be more conscious about this issue.

I recently visited this restaurant with my friend. We got there and was greeted by a waitress who took our orders. We then sat there for 30 to 45 minutes waiting for our food and when our waitress finally returned, she asked us how everything was and if we wanted more water. Which obviously caused some confusion amongst us because we had yet to receive any food at all. She then walked away and came back with a check for $60 for the food that we had ordered but never received. At that point, we were so shocked that we just decided to get up and leave without saying anything. We laughed about it on the way out, but the fact that we were completely ignored and forgotten about really sucked.

Diner Review №48

Nothing better on a bone-chilling winter night than a delicious bowl of ramen! The Tantanmen Ramen was sooooo good! We loved everything we had. The service was attentive and polite. We will definitely be back!

Diner Review №49

One of my favorite sushi places near the city!

Diner Review №50

Diner Review №51

Diner Review №52

Honestly the best Tamarind Noodle and Crunchy Spicy Tuna I've ever had

Diner Review №53

Enjoyed the experience immensely! Came with a friend after a show down the street and needed a quick bite. The staff was warm and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!

Diner Review №54

Lovely evening " byob". Excellent food, excellent service. Tempura shrimp - fabulous!!

Diner Review №55

Very well done! High quality, tasty, and great service! Great tea options!

Diner Review №56

Really cute place, decorated nicely and lighting was good (not too bright or dim)

Wasn’t very crowded when we went so I felt the server should have been a little big more attentive

edamame was good but hard to mess that up, sweet potato tempura was very very good and the garlic sauce went well with it

The sushi rolls were average

the refreshing maki had too much cucumber (prob around 95%)

overall, not worth the money considering other local spots

Diner Review №57

Diner Review №58

Great sushi

Diner Review №59

Can't believe the number of high ratings; that's what got us to try. Our waiter was nice and solicitous, checking in frequently; however, delivered our meals 20- minutes apart -- what's that about? We thought we were inadvertently in an Indian restaurant. Food was spicy/chili hot with no warning. Served only with chop sticks!? We had to ask for a fork to get at our shrimp, Ebern the beef cush was too "hot." If you wish to be successful at this location, we advise you to know American tastes better, and perhaps adjust your prices down. We're unlikely to return. We do love your location!

Diner Review №60

Diner Review №61

my favorite spot in Evanston, everything I've tried here is AMAZING.

Diner Review №62

Absolutely delicious. Shallot rice, nigi taro, and crispy salmon were amazing. The service was kind and the ambiance of the place is really nice, a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Definitely won't regret it.

Diner Review №63

Gotta be honest. The setting and platting along with customer service were nice. However the blend fusion Japanese and Thai takes more to master.

Papaya salad minus the traditional shrimp but with duck confit, had to look hard for it. Fish sauce overkill and not much else.

Karrage chicken was bone in large and fried til bones turned black. The batter is light enough but THAT’S not karrage. Fried chicken pieces.

Tiger Cry….made me want to cry. The pink center soft beef lined with scallion on top of fish sauce again.

Black widow was alright. The house wasabi is good.

Nigiri 🍣 was fresh

Tamarind noodle so sweet and salty .

Given price point we expect much better quality and a little bit more than French cuisine platting.

Sea Ranch is better choice and a whole lot of food.

Diner Review №64

very tasty food, very nice interior design and very friendly staff!!!

Diner Review №65

Diner Review №73

Very good food and helpful staff

Diner Review №74

We visited this place on a rainy Sunday. And it was an amazing experience dining out there. We ordered Darjeeling tea, shallot fired rice and ramen noodles. All of the items were delicious specially the shallot fried rice is really tasty, crispy with a rich aroma. If you are a new Japanese cuisine explorer, this place is a mush visit. The ambience of this restaurant is very aesthetic with little cute props everywhere. The polite and welcoming behavior of the staffs is another plus point. Highly satisfied with the quality and quantity of the food.

Diner Review №75

Absolutely lovely meal. Prompt, friendly service. Highlights were the papaya salad, calamari, and pork belly robata. Never have had calamari as unique and delicious! The Thai crème brûlée with lychee ice cream was also delicious. Excited to come back.

Diner Review №76

Diner Review №77

Everything is delicious, but our favorites are the pad see ew and the yakiniku don.

Diner Review №78

Diner Review №79

Excellent food right from the garden fresh salad, to the shrimp tempura appetizer to the Ramen. Really hit the spot while we were in town attending the ASCO conference. Will definitely be back!

Diner Review №80

Cozy environment, great food and good service. The Black Widow specialty roll was tasty and nice spin with the black ink rice. Everything looks just as good as it tastes. Definately recommend this place.

Diner Review №81

Best sushi in Chicago. Ngiri is outstanding and fish is always fresh and deliscious.

Diner Review №82

The fried rice was excellent, gyoza, and sushi and sashimi all good. The place could do with a good cleaning though!

Diner Review №83

This is one of
my favorite restaurant

Diner Review №84

So after enjoying those delicious Crispy Spicy Tuna Rolls and the Yakitori Don at Shinsen, you might expect to have a pretty smooth and comfortable bathroom experience. The fresh, high-quality ingredients in the dishes should aid digestion, while the mix of flavors and textures might contribute to a well-formed, easy-to-pass bowel movement.

Diner Review №85

Reliably good, innovative cuisine and welcoming hospitality. They have outside seating in the summer.

Diner Review №86

Diner Review №87

I finally tried this place last Friday and I was amazed by how good all the food is! Definitely going back!

Diner Review №88

Shinsen is one of my favorite evanston restaurants! Been here on multiple occassions and have never experienced a bad meal. The service is fantastic and attentive and the ambiance is lovely. If you’re looking to try it out: go for the jasmine tea, papaya salad, pork belly and chicken skewers and the pad see eiw.

Diner Review №89

Diner Review №90

EXCELLENT service. Wonderful dishes!

Diner Review №91

The vibe here is EVERYTHING. It's super comfortable and very much a conversation intimate type restaurant. Service was very good. My friend (vegetarian) didn't realize her ramen came with shrimp in it and asked if she could get a new dish. The staff was super accommodating and she was able to order something vegetarian (after looking much carefully haha). Everything that everyone ordered was amazing and came out at a reasonable time. The establishment is BYOB too btw! (Hint: There's a Trader Joe's down the street)

Diner Review №92

Diner Review №93

Diner Review №94

Interesting Thai touches. Tea was great. Cuts of sashimi were thin and not the freshest. But start to finish, food was solid, not special. My wife loved the Black Widow roll which we heard was the most popular, wasn’t my favorite.

Diner Review №95

Good food. Dependable. Decent service. The funny thing is they asked us to ready to leave in an hour & 10 minutes. Seemed rude and unnecessary as it wasn't full 90 minutes later. Still solid food. We always go back.

Diner Review №96

泰式裝潢、日式菜單、中式口味,亞洲大融合,讚喔👍

🍣Phily, California:

Diner Review №97

CRAZY GOOD!!!

A place where you SHOULD order: Chicken Hearts and Gizzards, because they are treated with respect and care

Diner Review №98

Diner Review №99

Diner Review №100

Terrible shallot fried rice

Diner Review №101

Second time eating here and Shinsen is 2/2 on a great dinner. Highly recommend getting the fried rice. It’s delicious and served in a hot bowl that cooks to a perfect crispiness. The Black Widow specialty roll was tasty and nice spin with the black ink rice. No alcohol, but you can BYOB for a cork fee.

Diner Review №102

Food was great, skewers are must-try. Dine-in service was really meh.

Diner Review №103

Get atmosphere. The calamari and spring rolls were fresh and tasty. Mussels has a very odd odor and was returned. They were kind and removed it from the bill. The tuna avacado roll, tuna nigiri and salmon nigiri were delicious! The black widow roll was mediocre for its price.

Diner Review №104

Cozy environment, great food and good service. We had a fulfilling lunch which included Tamarind noodles (chicken), chicken robata, salmon rolls, Yakitori Don with Jasmine tea on the side. Food was tasty and the portion size was appropriate. We will go back there again. I don’t believe they serve alcohol but that is fine. Great gluten free options. This is a gem of a place. You will not be disappointed.

Diner Review №105

Fantastic Japanese with a Thai twist. The spicy ramen hit the spot and everything else did so too. The owner is 100% on the ball on execution. Highly recommend! See pics!

Diner Review №106

If you like sushi and people who care, shinsen is it. They are a small business who cares - it’s shows in their food, top notch fish (very important with sushi restaurants) and service - even their to go bags. Love this place!

Diner Review №107

This place is a classy gem in Evanston. A lovely restaurant for date night.

Update: three years (and one very long pandemic) later, still a favorite of ours. Their takeout service is very good, too! Also our toddler loves the food from Shinsen so really what's not to love.

A lovely place to go to if you want a nice warm bowl of noodles or sushi. We had the black widow for sushi which was one of their most popular rolls on the menu.

Diner Review №120

Diner Review №121

Shocked by their rating. Was over priced and they were very cheap on the portion and ingredients and was very mediocre

Diner Review №122

Hidden gem in Evanston! Had such a great meal & great time (loved the ambiance). They really put the extra effort into the presentation & everything looks just as good as it tastes! Our favorite "must get" item was the robata skirt steak!

The sushi was high quality, fresh, and the selection was good (ended up ordering more of the o toro nigiri) Highly recommend trying the Thai iced tea and the miso soup! My date ordered the Tamarind noodles & he said it was also good! Make sure to save room for dessert- everything is made in their kitchen (my favorite was the mochi flight)

No reservations needed as there was plenty of tables available, outdoor seating as well. This is a BYOB restaurant & they dont charge a cork fee.

This place is amazing! I came here with my wife while we were on vacation. The quality and presentation of the food is top notch! The service was 5 star, our server Chelsea made us feel like royalty, she took such good care of us! I would highly recommend this restaurant, it was one our favorite places in Chicago!

Diner Review №127

They don’t sub fried rice for steam rice

Diner Review №128

Diner Review №129

Diner Review №130

I come here often for their sushi special. I love their unique vegetable/fruit toppings on each sushi piece. I tried most of their menu and everything is solid. The staff is very kind as well so I highly recommend this gem. Everyone I brought here loved it!

Diner Review №131

Enjoyed a lovely dinner sidewalk side last night! Owners are Wonderful! Very Friendly staff! Food was Tasty!

Diner Review №132

We both had ramen, and it was missing flavor and very bland. They have an additional charge for any sauce i.e Sriracha. I would opt out of the ramen and stick with sushi.

Diner Review №133

Ramen is pretty bad. Extremely salty with poor flavor. "Chicken char siu" is a complete joke. It's just flavorless boiled out chicken breast. Sushi was good, not great. The only saving grace was the service - the workers are very nice.

Diner Review №134

Diner Review №135

Diner Review №136

Diner Review №137

I tried the crunchy salmon sushi and the tamarind noodles and they tasted really good.

Diner Review №141

Diner Review №142

Excellent food and service

Diner Review №143

Best "New" restaurant in Evanston? Everything is good here, from Ramen to Sushi. Great flavors. This is a troubled location. Don't know what the secret is to make it here, but I hope the neighborhood will support this restaurant.

Diner Review №144

We have lived down the street from this restaurant and its many incarnations for almost a decade. Finally we took the plunge on a Monday night (a week before vday) to check it out. It was excellent. the flavors and the service. A bit costly compared to most but worth it.

Diner Review №149

Diner Review №150

This place is amazing!

Diner Review №151

Beautiful food and friendliest staff many thanks for a wonderful experience.

Diner Review №152

We love this place for the food and the people. Very personal touch.

Diner Review №153

Great food and friendly staff!

Diner Review №154

I was shocked. An Evanston restaurant with high quality nigiri?! Can this be?? Especially since most places that do good traditional nigri -only- do sushi. Although I could do without the fancy toppings on the nigiri, they didn't detract from the flavor which was good. Prior to this place my go to sushi restaurant was Ora sushi, but I'm definitely coming back.

Diner Review №155

Diner Review №156

Diner Review №157

This place is so underrated. Everything I had here was incredible … especially the steak on the hot rock (which is not on the menu by the way, but when I asked they were able to do it! I forgot the official name). The ramen was also fantastic. Great service too! Highly recommend

Diner Review №158

Staff are so kind and everything I have tried here is wonderful! I especially like the shallot fried rice and the green curry with steak. Restaurant is BYOB - I grabbed some sake from Sea Ranch down the street!

Diner Review №159

Diner Review №160

The food was excellent. The sushi was perhaps the best I have had in Evanston. I had to take a picture of my miso soup (I rarely take food pics) but it was strikingly beautiful. Yes, miso soup. Even the water was oddly unusually good. The sushi was presented elegantly, the pieces were generous, almost too generous. The fish was certainly top notch. I have to give a 4 stars because the service was simply terrible. I usually am the most forgiving of deficits in service but here I left angered. I was the only customer yet I was ignored all in full view of the waitress. I sat for 10 plus minutes obviously done with my meal in full view. Again her and I were the only two people in the room. I even put my mask on and pushed all plates aside. No inquiry. Some one else came on the floor and rushed over the moment they saw me and they were gracious. I was thrilled with the restaurant and would recommend it perhaps before Kuni’s. I trust that the service problem I experienced was an isolated incidence.

Diner Review №161

Pricey but yummy

Diner Review №162

Really great! We were impressed by the quality of the food here. Everything was pretty and tasty. We especially loved the black tea and ice cream creme brûlée!

Diner Review №163

Nice friendly enough place. The customers who would leave, would all say bye to the chef . It's nice to see the staff know the customers so well. Ramen is what I mostly ate today it was good I will be back for sure.

Diner Review №164

Diner Review №165

I order takeout at least once a month and I've never been disappointed. Prices are a tad higher than other places, but they're definitely warranted when you consider the quality of ingredients they use. They have a wide offering, but they do it all well.

Staff is also always polite and friendly. Highly recommend.

Diner Review №166

My family and I have never had anything but excellent food and service here. I would go weekly if I could. Pad see eiw and choo chi tofu, also the miraculously crispy sushi roll specials. Kid friendly, affordable and lovely.

Diner Review №167

So first time we order in the this restaurant (we decided to try something different ) but very disappointed. We got fried calamari 14$ and we got them 6 pieces super cold and chewy looks so bad.Portion so small at least if the quality was good. The portion of everything was so small. Will be sticking with the other restaurants in Evanston..

Diner Review №168

The food and staff were amazing but it took very long to get everything.

Diner Review №169

Flavorful and nice service. But I drank >= 0.80 US gal water afterward. ^^”

Diner Review №170

Stores hours are not accurate, showed up at 6pm for dinner and they were closed

Diner Review №171

Delicious food and quick delivery!

Diner Review №172

Wonderful ambiance and very kind and patient staff. Brought the kids, one who is a very picky eater, and he loved the skewers! Food was excellent and love that everything is made fresh.

Diner Review №173

Excellent fish. Rolls too sweet (Thai influence???). Size of portions small, though prepared beautifully. Soups and noodles are great.

Diner Review №174

Beautiful food... friendly staff...

Diner Review №175

Fantastic food! Had to come and leave a review, highly recommend

Diner Review №176

Absolutely fantastic food. It ranks among my favorite sushi spots in the entire Chicago area.

Some of the most outstanding dishes:
- Black widow roll with seared super white tuna
- Red curry mussels and they come with a bao spin on garlic bread
- Green papaya salad
- Asparagus robata

The service is slow, but I know staffing is very tough this summer so you gotta give places a break.

Diner Review №177

Diner Review №178

Really great food, service and atmosphere. You can expect a great attention to detail here.

It's also amazing that it's BYOB and close to the best liquor store in Evanston.

They might also be the youngest restaurant in Evanston to survive the pandemic. At least, they're the youngest I know of.

Diner Review №179

Diner Review №180

Black Dragon, gyoza, shishto peppers, and sushi amazing!

Diner Review №181

Chef and staff treat their dishes as special as they treat their customers. Where other sushi places simply make a nigiri with namasake and rice, Shinsen had a refreshing slice of radish and ikura (salmon roe) atop. Their black dragon was a unique treat as well using tasty black Japanese rice with a mango sauce. Phenomenal food, kind and courteous staff. Support local- eat well.

Diner Review №182

Great sushi with lovely presentation and very friendly, pleasant staff! Definitely recommend!

Diner Review №183

Diner Review №184

The panna cotta is really delicious. Must try ! The hostess was very attentive . She was friendly and super helpful.

Diner Review №185

I would give this 3.5 stars if I could. Pros: Beautiful, fresh, delicious food, beautifully packaged and presented, ready on time, easy ordering. Cons: Quantities were very small. We are not huge eaters, and are not large people, but all of us were hungry after the meal. The food was expensive for what we received.

Diner Review №186

Interesting, delightfully unique and totally delicious food, with lovely, thoughtful presentation! Everything is delicious and beautifully made... even the tea.

Diner Review №187

Ordered for delivery twice now and we were pleased both times. Clean, tasty sushi. Packaged well & appetizing presentation. Friendly delivery personnel. Tried some of their dessert too this time and the creme brûlée was the bomb!

I’ve had sushi from here twice. First time I went there and it was LOVELY! Clean, beautiful, and kind people. Just over all the best sushi I’ve had in Chicagoland area since I’ve been here since 2018. I ordered delivery the second time and they have delivery on their website. Their delivery guy was SO nice! And they even gave me a hand written thank you note. The food was AMAZING again. I love you guys and will be back soon ♥️

The sashimi bowl and grills are amazing. The special maki is also very impressive. A little bit pricier though.
