First time going to Bann Thai this evening. I was really craving Kang Karee Curry and hoped they would have a good one. Was not disappointed!! By far the best yellow curry in the edwardsville area. My son had the general tso's chicken. For an appetizer we tried the Shumai dumplings. Every thing we ordered was amazing but even better was the service. Our server Melanie was so sweet and made us laugh. So thank you not only for the best thai food I have had in years but for your amazing personality and service. We will be coming back soon and if your lucky enough to go on a night they have thai donuts they are a 10 out of 10. As far as the photos I only thought to take after I had boxed up my leftovers lol

THE best Thai food restaurant in the area! I always order a #2 heat level because if it isn’t prepared hot enough I can ask for pepper sprinkles to add in. The food is always served steaming hot and delicious. My personal favorites are Khao Soi, Red Curry, and any of the fried rice dishes. Pineapple Fried Rice has an ample amount of large shrimp but this dish is also excellent with chicken substituted for the shrimp.

I thought about changing my protein but didn’t because I didn’t want to make her more upset. When my fiance picked up he told me how rude she was before I even mentioned it.. we both worked in food service so I thought about not writing a review but this was beyond just having a bad day.. it was just straight rude.

Very high quality food for what you're getting. It takes a lot for me to want to sit down and eat Thai, but I really feel like you can't go wrong at this location. The food is fresh, and the appetizers are fantastic. Wait times were actually very short for our orders, and the service was very good. The only downside I really saw was maybe the fountain soda was a bit off, but it was still OK.. certainly not a serious qualm and generally easily fixed. Overall, I will come back here again. I personally think this is the best Thai food in the immediate area, and there are some decent choices so that says something. Highly recommend.

Today was terrible. My husband ordered soup noodles for me. When I took the packed food home, there were only side dishes and soup, but no noodles. I called to let them know that they didn't give me noodles, and they asked me to go get them, which meant that it took more than 20 minutes to go back and forth. I went to get the noodles and brought them home to put in the soup. The noodles stuck together, and when I gently stirred them with chopsticks, the noodles broke into pieces and I couldn't pick them up at all. I couldn't eat it. It was so disappointing.

We ordered the Thai Fried Rice and Pad Woon Sen. They were flavorful and cooked well. We were glad we found this Thai restaurant.

4th time here with my better half. Every time i try something different and seems to be better than the previous choice. Same with the wife. Took the kids this time and they both enjoyed it as well.

I had the Pad Thai, no spice. I thought the flavor was very good and a lot of meat. The pork egg rolls were also very good. My husband really enjoyed his meal (Pad Roumit) and he isn't one for this type of food. So much better than the other place in town.

Food was amazing. Ordered the Drunken Noodles and they were great. They do have optional spiciness scale 1-5 or Thai Hot, found even Thai Hot fairly mild. Get the spicy tray and try the fish sauce with lime and peppers (Prik Nam Pla) on your noodles. Best sauce ever and there is hot chili paste on tray too for extra heat. Staff was super friendly. Thai pop music was interesting, but maybe a bit loud. Will eat there again when I get back to the area.

The best Thai we've had since moving to the area (I am military, so my family has moved a lot)! Had the shrimp spring roll, the beef Jerry appetizer, beef pad thai, and the crying tiger ribeye. The food has always been fresh, hot, and delicious. The service has always been kind and courteous. Their pad Thai is to die for, I’ve been ordering a 3 or a 4 (out of 5) for spice but it’s not super hot?? I love bann Thai but it’s almost always empty when I come in here!? Come here and eat it’s good prices and good food

The staff was friendly and the food was amazing within ten minutes our food was at our table. Also the staff was very patient they also bag your food when your done with it. They have a spice rating system with I really like how they do it like that. The price looked absurd at first but the portion was worth the price. I would definitely go there again👌

Their food is decent, friendly staff, although she wasn't aware about their special. 3 to 5 pm on Wednesday and Thursday they have half off appetizers and bubble tea, we received the half off on appetizers but we paid full price on the bubble tea. We didn't complain about it we just paid. They should be aware of what they charge their customers. Just make sure you check your bill.

This was not authentic Thai food by far or even a good interpretation of it. It was overly sweet or underwhelming in flavor. We had a group of 4 and all were verily disappointed, especially since there was a thai heritage present in 3 of the diners. The only takeaway was the fried beef as that was the only dish that we finished. Maybe we are spoiled by the Texas thai scene, but nonetheless this was not thai in any manner

Honestly their food is good, but service for take-out can be spotty. I called in for a meal pick up for two people. I was told it would be 20-30 minutes. I arrive ~23 minutes later but had to wait an additional 40 minutes for my food. I understand restaurants can get busy, but maybe better communication needs to happen between the front and back of house.

My wife and I ordered a take out meal for tonight. The fried spring rolls were mushy in the middle like they had been frozen. Pad See Ew had a strange plastic/chemical taste (like the meal was reheated in microwave in the to go container) and the chicken tasted day old. Thai wings had peanut sauce, not sweet chili sauce like the online menu states. We had also ordered a cheesecake for dessert and the cheesecake was frozen in the middle. Overall, we were very dissatisfied with our meal and threw out nearly all of it.

We love Bann Thai! They've had a few issues with shortages whether it be menu items or staff but they always make a fantastic dish. We have the Prik King level 4 with random protein and fresh spring rolls and they never disappoint. They are currently having problems finding delivery drivers so you may have to pick up but it's worth it!

Food and service is outstanding. Have been there twice with some coworkers for lunch and enjoyed each meal. Fantastic food, highly recommend!

I feel its a great place for a date night it has a pleasing atmosphere. To save money buy your gift cards at sams and save 20%. Im a big curry fan and this is my second favorite thai place. My number one place is in Columbia,illinois. I review alot of place so dont forget to follow and enjoy.

I hadn't been back for several years and was very happy to rediscover Bann Thai. The food was excellent! Everything was fresh and hot and expertly prepared. The servers were professional, friendly and prompt. Now I don't have to go all the way to St. Louis for Thai, I have a great restaurant right here in Edwardsville.

This place regularly puts its phone on answering machine during heavy business hours. DO NOT SETTLE for average Thai food at an exorbitant price.

Literally my favorite Thai place. Reasonably priced per person and ENORMOUS portions. I order Thai fried rice with pineapple and it's always enough for 2+ meals.

This is my new favorite place to go with my wife. She has Hashimoto's and has a very limited diet but here they can make it exactly the way she can have it. And the staff are very kind and helpful and attentive. Be careful of the spice level it can get pretty hot.

Food is normally delicious. Great quality. Tonight was different. My noodles and meat were BURNT! Not edible at all. I would not have minded waiting an extra 20 minutes for it to be redone correctly but did not know til I got home. Should not have boxed a charred, burnt entrée

The food is delicious — lots of curry options! We like the option of being able to select a different protein in each dish. We’ve eaten inside, ordered pickup, and scheduled delivery — we’ve had the best luck going inside to eat (fast, accurate, courteous, etc…). The last delivery we scheduled, and the food arrived 2 hours early. Last night we ordered pickup in advance and had to wait 30 minutes past pickup time to get food. We love the food and staff, but order timing needs some attention.

Boba Tea was not good, tapioca pearls tasted far from edible, tastea was better. Sorry not sorry just being honest.

Was looking for an authentic Thai food place near home since ours went out of business and found
Ban Thai. I grew up with Thai/Laos and Vietnamese people and food. This wasn’t a good experience. The waiter brought out a dish we did not order. they som tum (papaya salad) was terrible. Tasted like lime and fish sauce. The Thai jerky was okay but still was not right. The cooks really need to be trained on how Thai food tastes. I could have made better Som tum and fried rice at home our Larbb did not come they said they didn’t have the ingredients to make it 😳. The Curry Thai Rice was Mediocre
I gave it two for the atmosphere is nice that’s about it.
