I know this will spark debate, but I wanted to try pineapple with my fried rice, so that's what I did. The flavor of the dish is spot on; it has savory notes from the curry powder, sweetness from the pineapple, and nice, but there is a few aspect of it that I don't enjoy. The pork and chicken were dry and difficult to eat. I just hope I don't get sick because of the one piece of pork that had a sour aftertaste. The pineapple was undoubtedly canned because some of the slices had a strange flavor and some were sweet.
Their dessert, which came in two portions of banana sticky rice, is the one thing I enjoy eating. It's a simple but tasty dish made of sticky rice with a fresh banana filling and wrapped in a banana leaves. The sticky rice was fragile and gooey at the same time. The banana filling was tender; it also had an undertone of sweetness. The texture of the bean is somewhat solid.
Came here for lunch. This is my first time dining since the current owners came in a few years ago and put the focus to be exclusively on Thai dishes.
The strip mall the restaurant is in has limited parking, which can make things a bit of a challenge. If you are bringing multiple people, be sure to carpool!
I started with egg rolls and was very pleased by how hot, crisp and fresh they were when they arrived at my table. Excellent dipping sauce and with six there would have been plenty to share. My entree was the green chili with beef, shrimp and chicken. I asked for medium spicy. The plate was generously sized and I ended up taking at least a third of it with me as leftovers. Excellent dish, and just the amount of heat I enjoy in my food!
The couple that owns this restaurant are very attentive to their customers and genuinely enjoy cooking for everyone who stops in. They recognized one gent who arrived during my meal and called him by name! Now that I work in the area I believe I will become a regular, myself.
My first time going ordering from this place. I am very disappointed. Food wasn’t that tasty and the lady was on the phone just chatting out loud, never ask me if I needed anything. As I was ignored I took time to look around… yikes!!! Walls, pictures frames and light fixtures had so much dust on it. This place needs a good cleaning. Eating area had some of there kitchen supplies stack up as storage.
Never will I order from place👎🏽. It’s sad, we need a good Thai restaurant in the area. Des Plaines
Just started going here and right off the bat everything was amazing!!! It was so good that i went three times in a week!! Food was amazing for both take out and dine in. The owners are very nice and checked in with us time to time!! Overall a great place to eat at and nice to support a business that has been around for years and years!! Loved the cream cheese rangoons, pad see ew, and pad thai! I can’t wait to go back and try other foods recommended by the owner herself!
Average. I ordered wonton soup and pan and curry, and they were edible but nothing special. The ingredients were not fresh. I ordered sticky rice for my curry, and they told me they could not do it. They did not have mangos with sticky rice either, despite being mango season. The food was $25.60 without any drinks or dessert, which seems high for the quality of the food. The bathroom can use a deep cleaning. I do not recommend this place.
Dediced to try this place out for lunch. Overall it was a great experience. All the food on the menu looked good. Would definitely recommend the bangkok noodle with chicken. It gets a little spicy but not too spicy to handle. The food portions are good, the picture I took was after a few bites 😅 Also I would highly recommend trying the Thai ice coffee total game changer. Be ready it'll taste a little different than regualr coffee but nonetheless 5/5.
Just ordered a chicken pad Thai, disgustingly oily and burnt. Can’t taste the peanuts. Can’t taste anything.
Pineapple fried rice - likewise terrible taste and oily and pot stickers, cold/dry and oily. Does not taste fresh at all, everything actually tastes the same, like old oil.
Tom Yum soup is salty and likewise tasteless.
It all Tastes like cheap, low quality Chinese food.
Will never go back again.
Note the pictures, disgusting.
Will not be returning.
Do NOT recommend.

Best Thai food in the area hands down. Great service. Prices are reasonable and the portions are large. It’s a small family owned business. Highly recommend! Especially the pad thai, pad see ew, pot stickers and crab rangoons.
Red and green curries are second to none. Nick did not short me on the spice as he made them "authentic to Thailand" and everything was incredibly fresh and delicious
Wonderful selection of traditional Thai dishes. Welcoming service and delicious offerings. Best Thai food in the region!! Dine in , Take out or Delivery
We carried out two orders of Basil Leaves with tofu. The dish was excellent, so packed with flavor and just the right amount of heat. One of the best dishes I’ve had at a Thai restaurant. This was our first visit to this location and we will be back
Delicious food and great service. Awesome vegetarian options; I highly recommend the tofu pad Thai! I will definitely be back to try new items on the menu!
Wow! Fantastic husband and wife duo making everything from scratch.
So, if you’re wondering why the curries here taste so good, it’s because they make the base themselves - it’s not a canned/premade shortcut.
Really really good; also they’re super friendly - don’t let the unassuming building fool you, this place packs the flavor.

We ordered the curry fried rice, pad see ew noodles, and seafood tom yum soup. The food was packed full of flavors and the portion was big. The pad see ew and fried rice has a nice charred flavor. The tom yum soup was perfect for the weather, hot and spicy. We will be coming back soon!
Simple decor, lovely owners, great food. We were customers when the last couple that owned this place were in charge. We’re worried when it changed hands but the current owners are great, food is still great. Very reasonable prices. A terrific mom and pop stop for all your favorite Thai dishes. If you haven’t been, check them out. You won’t be disappointed!
Always consistently delicious! Have been coming to this particular location for probably 9 years. Food is clean and fresh with more than enough for one portions. Restaurant is always clean and I/we are always greeted warmly.
I went into the restaurant, ordered a few foods, and went to the bathroom to wash my hands. After i saw this toilet, I really just wanted to run away.
The lady (she served, too) who owned the restaurant was neither friendly nor unfriendly.
Food tastes very cheap and low quality. Salty nor very sweet, tastes less.
Pad thai tastes like ketchup i could only taste ketchup. Noodle was very much overcooked.
This was my first time eating Thai food like this.
Had the broccoli with oyster sauce and shrimp plus cashew nut with chicken. The food was AMAZING!
Service is excellent. Will definitely be frequenting this authentic Thai restaurant.
Super low key mom & pop shop. Mom heads the front of house while pop is in the kitchen cooking some fantastic Thai food!
ขอบคุณมาก
Hopefully this spelling is right. Thank you!
Great Place to eat

I am so disappointed at this place!! I ordered at chicken pad thai and usually the food is great but today it tasted terrible, old and burnt noodles! I feel sick to my stomach!! The person on the phone, mimi was also very rude and did not try to give me my money back! Do NOT recommend.
This place was amazing!!!! We walked in and the owners came out and greeted us!!! Sat us and we're so excited to be there!!! Their energy was infectious!!!
The food was also amazing, I ordered the Appetizer sampler, and the panaang curry. All were 5*.
Absolutely going back and everyone in the party agreed that this place was much better then our normal Thai place!
My go-to Thai in Des Plaines. Always delicious, healthy, good portions. I’m never disappointed, always quality ingredients and cooking. Family owned and run, super friendly, too!
Best fried rice!

Cute little place in a quiet area. Food is good and the people are very nice and hard working. Atmosphere of the restaurant is not as cozy as it could be but it is very clean and you have plenty of room. I love their curry dishes, yum!!
Wow... Great tasting food and such nice owners
Great food, big portions, and good prices.
This place is awesome! Their Curry is so good!! I love the coconut flavor and the people working there are so nice!
Very nice food
Leaves a taste behind I just loved the taste
Our go to thai joint. Everything is good but our absolute favorite is there fried rice 🤙
The woman who took our orders over the phone was very nice and helpful. My friend asked what dish she recommended and it was delicious. Everything tasted great. I really like Bankok Belly. They give you decent-sized portions for the price, too.
get your act together you should know what a vegan is and you should know your ingredients
Have not been there
Great food, friendly staff. Love it
Yum yum! Tasty Thai food, super friendly staff, reasonable prices. Great for lunch or dinner.
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the Chicago area. It is family run and the owners make you feel like a part of their own family the second you walk in. The service is fantastic and they are two of the loveliest people I’ve met. On top of that, the food is really great, fresh and flavorful. My favorite is the tom kha soup & my fiancé and I both love the Bangkok chili.

Great food
And service
Always a hood experience
Ordered take out and was impressed with the speed of service. Was given phenomenal customer service with delicious recommendations. The Thai iced coffee was perfect drink to cool off. The pad Thai, pineapple fried rice and the coconut curry combo was fresh and succulent. Will be a returning customer! Thank you Bangkok Belly!!
We absolutely love this place! Nice people, great service, great taste every time! Only one little thing I'm concerned about is when I order take out, the food was so hot that the Styrofoam started to melt at the bottom which is the reason for the 4 stars Not 5. Not the healtiest, so I had to throw away part of my food that was touching the bottom which was a waste because the food is so good. I hope they could upgrade to a better quality to go box with spme sort of lining or BPA free plastic containers? Otherwise, we're probably just going to have to dine in there instead of ordering take out again.
Well, I have passed this Bangkok Belly hundreds of times and all it took was a taste for fried rice. They were close, they had what I wanted and WOW I was pleasantly surprised. Delicious! We also had the egg roll and it, too, was absolutely delicious! Don't hesitate to try them!!! I will be back!
This food is authentic, priced right and the couple who owns the restaurant and make make food are absolutely adorable. This is one of my favorite Thai spots!!

Quality food ingredients for a great price I'm planning on being a regular.
Best Thai food in the area. The owners are very nice, family run business. I usually ask for recommendations when ordering and am never disappointed.
WE LOVE BANGKOK BELLY!! Their curries are delish! Tom Kha and Tom Yum soups are our favorites. They are quick and kind.
My boss order here for us lunch and I couldn't believe how good the food is.My new favorite spot.
We eat here regularly since it's local. And it's always amazing. The staff are so lovely and personable. It is one restaurant I would miss of we ever had to move away.
Amazing pineapple fried rice, absolutely great authentic Thai food
Excellent Thai food! Authentic and flavorful
Never ate there but funny name.
Fast service, great food.
Great food selection. Good and very friendly people. My family and I had been coming here for a very long time.
Omg
So good

You guys have to try this place very good stuff
The best Thai spot in the NW burbs run by the nicest people. Get the pot stickers and weep with joy.
Small little joint, but the food was prepared fast and fresh. I had my doubts before I got my food, but I thoroughly enjoyed the yellow curry. It was very flavorful, with the mild and sweet thai flavor. Pricing was pretty much the same as most thai places and there were sizeable portions.
I have to be honest here since this is in my town. I feel I spent a decent amount of $ for the food I got and it does not count for much. I few pieces of meat and sub par garnish on my pad Thai. The quality is nowhere near authentic on all the dishes I ordered... Appetizer soup entree noodles fried rice.. All the meats seemed like it's been precooked and added as needed when ordered ergo the dishes are not cooked together with flavors of the ingredients that should be engrained in the dish itself. Compared to quality of panda express... Panda wins and I barely recognize panda as a good place to eat.
This restaurant is right down the street from my house. They make the best drunken noddles and Thai iced tea! I love my food spicy and I tell them to make it really spicy and it’s always perfect. The chive dumplings are also amazing!!
This is my favorite place for Thai food in all of Chicagoland. The sweetest people you’ll ever meet and the best chicken fried rice in the game. Great portion sizes for the price.
The chive pancakes are crispy on the the outside and gooey on the inside, large portion sizes and filling food. Homemade Sri La Cha as well
Take out only, wanted to eat there...will order take out another time.
Delicious! Always on my list whenever we are in the area. Everything is so good!
I love this place. It is kind of small for eat-in but very accommodating of "special requests" and pick up/delivery orders.
Very good Thai food in this area! probably the best too! The pad Thai was so refreshing and tasty.
Tasty food and good service by the chef
Quick review: Excellent Thai restaurant with great and kind staff.
Food is always fresh with reasonable prices
This is a fantastic gem of a place in a very unassuming strip mall. I usually come for the noodle dishes because they're just so tasty. Whether it's the pad Thai, pad see ew, or pad kee mao I always leave satisfied. I've done both carry out and dining in and even my to go orders don't suffer from me waiting to eat. If you like Thai food give this "mom and pop" shop a look. It's literally run by the sweetest couple.
The chicken fried rice is the best.
The best pad thai I ever had. The panang curry is also really good. Staff are friendly and place is quiet and relaxing
Good and healthy food
Wonderful food
The host so nice
Best pad thai and mango sticky rice I've ever had.
Yummy food. Very friendly owners. Highly recommend. They make one of the best Tai iced coffees I've ever had.
Great food and friendly service. They seem to treat everyone like longtime friends/family.
So like many I love Thai Food but it seems like Thai people don’t understand Americans like MORE meat in the entree. I swear to you , I tried BB for the first time because I was sick of the other place always skimping in the meat. Excited ...I ordered...I picked it up...sat through 3 trains 🚞 waiting to eat it. Smells sooo good, ate the crab ragoons while waiting which were amazing. Get back to my office. Open the lid... bam 💥 same ting. Maybe 4 / 5 at most little pieces of meat. Flavor was decent, peanut sauce was great. But WTF put some meat in it. Not like it was cheap. $10? Noodles are cheap! 5 stars next time I go in there and I have more than 10 little pieces of meat.
Food was burnt. Portions are small. Cook and waitress are rude. Not recommended
Had the Pad Woon Sen lunch special. The eggroll was very good and the noodles were pretty good also. Good service; the lady was very nice. Overall a good experience
The worst Thai food I've ever tried. So disappointing.
If no star or negative stars was an option that's what you would be seeing! Took my husband here for his birthday and they completely screwed up the order, now correcting the issues could have turned the night around. Instead they decided to simply educate my husband on the levels of spiceyness. To top it off they didn't even offer to exchange or remake his food, this place is just all around not a good place for business or Thai food save your cash as it was way too expensive for such poor quality.
This place is the absolute worst, save your money super expensive and taste of the food is bland. Go any other place for Thai food even Noodles and company is a step up from this place. Will not be returning and will definitely advise people to stay clear.
Just got some Red Chili with tofu, peppers, peas and bamboo shoots on white rice. Food was excelent, and service was prompt. The portions are normal so I didn't feel bloated or having to force eat. Poped in next door for some fresh Baklava. :)
It’s ok for a quick bite to satisfy a Thai craving but that’s about it.
Great customer service. Delicious food especially pad Thai..
This place and it's staff has zero personality. Barely a hello when we walked in and after getting menus and water the waitress disappeared for ten minutes or so and the place was empty.
The food was ok. Nothing particularly good or bad.
We won't be back.
Great food!
Excellent Pad See-ew! Medium sized portion but very filling. Food came out quick. Will be back for more soon!
The food is good Thai food. Better than what the location looks like from the outside. It's probably a better place to take out than it is dine-in. When you dine in, it's very informal and there might be family members working or playing on a computer at a table nearby.
The portions are a little bit smaller than average. The prices are slightly high for the portion size. Pretty basic flavors for Thai food and nothing unusually creative or different.
Great food, everything i have order has been delicious. Don't order online, the prices are more expensive.
Everything was served on dirty dishes. I asked for a clean plate and got another one that was just as dirty. If you touch the plate at the bottom you can feel the grimy buildup....
great food
Ya Yeet Good Foods
Very Good Thai Food
Yum
Hidden gem!!! Amazing food, get the bankok chili, careful tho it's spicy
Very nice place super clean ,good meal thank you
Small family location. Good food.
Great deal on the lunch special.
Chicken salad has TONs of chicken
Family owned.Real Thai foods. Very friendly taste awesome. My.favorite is Bangkok noodle!
I would rather not give any stars since the couple that runs the place is very rude. We (2people) asked to sit at a table for 4.There were no other customers in the restaurant but they shoved us to a side table. One person had to sit on a box. I told them it was not a good business practice but they didn"t care.
The owners, particularly the lady in front, are really polite, charming, and enthusiastic! She treats me with a little cup of soup every time I come. Sweet! The food is reasonably good too!!!
Good Thai food, good prices, fast service, best for Office lunch
The beef Thai fried rice was delicious. Good taste.
Very good Great service reasonable prices.
Small restaurant that has some decent dishes. Personally a fan of the cashew nut chicken here.
Excellent chicken basil made the write way just like I had in Bangkok awesome
Greasy food, portions are small for the price, egg rolls we're so small. Could have went to panda express
Good food and very Nice People!!!
Convenient and delicious!
Very good food! Highly recommend! Everything I've had here is always really good. Delivery is fast and the owners are great people!!
Small but good service and amazing food!
Great restaurant. Family running.
Love this place, great homley fresh food
Really good thai food!
Mom and Pop place - so delicious and worth every penny, the family is so warm and friendly too! Definitely stop in and eat there
Very friendly service. Great lunchtime value.
Delicious food tai
Authentic thai food cooked by real Thai people!
Had to try it.not that impressed
pretty decent Thai food in the area
We just ordered from here last night and everything was delicious! I had been less impressed in the past (over a year ago), but it seems their food has greatly improved. This will be our local favorite for Thai food from now on :)
Feels like I'm back in Bangkok suburbs. Highly recommended.
The lasting memory of this place is a moldy tomato.
I tried it more times than I care to admit to and I stand by my assessment.
If you have not been here for a few months, then you Need to come Back; New Management! If you want Fresh - Authentic Thai food with a family Feel, then you need to stop in!! The Basil Chicken made Thai Spicy is Great!! All of the dishes they serve are Great!! Weekday Lunch Specials too!! :)
I got the chicken fried rice and it was the best I've had in a long time. It was served with a very flavorful soup. The service was great too. I will definitely be eating here again.
Best Pad Thai in Des Plaines, get it SPICY!!!
Great place for authentic Thai food. I see a review griping about the sushi and thought...it's a Thai restaurant not a Japanese restaurant. Why would I expect great sushi at a Thai restaurant?...lol. Anyways, from the appetizers to the entrees everything is really good and made to your own spicy hot level. One of my favorite places to eat Thai food
They're fast, the food is great. Especially the panang curry
Food is really good and the lunch specials are very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. Service is fast and food comes out at a reasonable time. I heard this restraunt had poor management in the past and it seems the new owners are really dedicated to the restraunt. One of my favorite restraunts to go to on lunch breaks.
Found this place with on Groupon. I though it was going to be a hidden gem for sushi, boy was i wrong. It was a hole in the wall. Most hole in the wall places are great because they concentrate on the food more than the decor, but not so much with sushi places. After i saw the place i should have left but nope. I wanted to give the place a shot. The place was empty i was the only customer there. That should have raise a red flag. The waitress was there seem like i was bothering her in coming in and giving them business! I order a few different rolls to try the place out. For me being the only person there it sure did take a long time to get my food. I don't know which roll was the one that gave me food poisoning. But needless to say i WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. Worst sushi place in the Chicago-land area. Since i love sushi i love to try new place from Downtown to Naperville to Schaumburg to Wilmette and everything in between. Hope you don't get sick from eating here. Learn from My mistake!!!
