Simply appointed restaurant for familiar Thai cooking, including noodles, curries & satay.
This restaurant is unsanitary and they don't care about quality. The use old oil to fry foods over and over again. They re-cook or re-fry old leftover food (including meat) and send it to their delivery customers. There are bugs in the sauses, and there's no concern for the quality of the food. If they see something wrong, they don't correct it. Don't eat here. There are too many other high quality tlThai restaurants in the city to be wasting your time and money here. I'd put zero stars of it would allow me to make a review that way.
Take out order which was supposed to take 15 minutes took over and hour to be ready. Messed up our entire evening schedule.
The food was disgusting and could not eat it. Worst money spent.
Great food... if you can get it.
Ordered online twice and both times my money was taken automatically but NOBODY WAS THERE. The first time they apologized profusely when they called a few hours later. But just now I went to pick up my order from an hour ago,
and again, no one is there!
Do not order from this place unless you talk to a person!
Let me start of by saying that I used to love Thai Thai in the +10 years I've lived in the neighborhood. It was my go to Thai spot that had delicious food and I never had a bad experience, not even once. Last night I ordered my usual, and everything was horrendous. My panang "noodles" were really linguini/spaghetti in disguise. I've never been served pasta under the guise of noodles, especially in a Thai dish. The pad see ewe absolutely had no seasoning or anything resembling flavor or taste. I had to douse the pad see ewe with my own chili oil for me to get any flavor out of it. My favorite crab rangoon was burnt to a crisp and I was close to chipping a tooth when I bit down on it. My feel good Tom Yum soup was flavorless tomato water. This place may still have the old Thai Thai name but it is definitely most surely without a doubt NOT the same Thai Thai I know and love. RIP 🙏 good and delicious Thai Thai, you will forever be missed and loved.
Honestly if I could leave a lower review I would. We ordered 45 minutes before close and didn't get our food until 2 hours later and almost an hour and a half after the place closed. All of our food was made wrong, whether it was made spicy as hell on things that shouldn't have been, things burned, random unmentioned ingredients tossed in, things arrived cold, and we had missing items. I would be ashamed to ever serve anything close to what I received tonight.
Edit to add: We all started to feel sick not long after eating what little of the semi edible food we received. I don't understand how anyone could mess up food this terribly.
This place was disgusting - there was a long dark hair in my food! This was after we decided to cancel our order after waiting for over an hour to receive a text to say it was ready for pick-up. Then when my husband decided to go and wait for it, we found out they switched my order from chicken to pork pad thai (without asking). We respectfully declined and yet she still insisted we'd like it and then delivered it (which we thought was nice). However, the meal didn't match what was advertised, and still had ingredients that I requested to keep off... and then the HAIR! :( Ah!
We live just around the corner from this place; the food is great, however the owner usually ends up running a one-woman show; you may have to wait a little longer, but the food is really good. Post-covid, the dining room never really went back to dine-in ready; great for takeout.

I love her food no matter what, and just go get pickup. Tom kha gai is maybe the best I’ve ever had…
Food is authentic and delicious.
:( adding on to what everyone is saying. Used to order from here all the time before the pandemic. Used to be reliable delivery, great quality and delicious. It’s the opposite now. Very sad and I hope they get more staffing

Don’t waste your money here. This place just needs to pull the plug.

On a dine-in visit, only my wife and I were there.
A can of soda comes with every meak, modestly-priced at about $10 (lunch special).
I'm in no position to judgr authenticity, I'm not Thai. Food tasted pretty good. Street pay parking only.
Pretty bad. Ordered takeout and they weren't ready. One of the dishes we ordered had salmon in it and the lady asked if we'd take any other fish because the salmon was still frozen. There's one poor, stressed out woman working everything. Once we got the food it wasn't bad, but waiting 1+ hours for takeout and getting different things than what we ordered was pretty bad.
Can't leave zero stars. Abysmal. Don't do it. Order anywhere else. Learn to make it, shop for ingredients, and cook it yourself, it will take less time. A total waste. Food is underwhelming at best and ridiculously overpriced. Waited over an hour for a pick up order. Seriously, go anywhere else...
My order was inexplicably cancelled 10 minutes after it was supposed to deliver. The restaurant did not answer the phone after multiple calls.
We ordered from here a few months ago and the food took FOREVER to be prepared for pick up, almost 2 hours. After that experience I didn't wanna order from here again but my mom ended up ordering because she forgot about the experience we had the last time. I thought maybe that experience was a one off thing, maybe they were short staffed that day so this time would be better. NOPE!
This time we ordered for delivery and the food took about an hour and a half to get to us. Had to microwave the food once it arrived because it was cold. Which is confusing because we live about a 10-15 min drive from this place so maybe the food was ready but the delivery person just had it sitting in their car or something??
And then the food itself wasn't very good. It wasn't horrible, but just wasn't very good. The chicken in the pad kee mao tasted weird and the presentation of the food was messy. The only thing that was good were the egg rolls, which we had to reheat.
I hate giving bad reviews but this was disappointing. I will say that the lady who works there seems very sweet! She was apologetic for the wait when we called and thanked us for our patience. But it seems like they're having issues with their delivery service and the food itself. Don't waste your money :(
Was closed when I got there Monday 1130am even saids they open
boo I ordered delivery from their website. The driver texted me 45 min later that the restaurant was empty. He was inside but no one was working. He waited about 15 min and no one showed up. I had to call menufy to get a refund :(((
Thai Thai use to be my go to in the neighborhood for Thai food . they use to be good now it’s not good at all. I spend 40 something on dinner yet my order was delayed . food wasn’t good at all I don’t know what happen here . they was so good before years I was coming here now . I will never order again ! they’re food in quality has decreased so bad the food is trash !!! sorry say it but DONT RECOMMEND DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE FOOD JUST NOW TERRIBLE VERY DISAPPOINTING!
Delicious food and the woman who owns it is really sweet
This place used to be amazing, and as you can see from other reviews, about a year ago the business changed hands and apparently everything but the name changed. Now it is a garbage fire. Rest in peace, old Thai Thai.
Good value, decent food, staff is a bit rude but I’m not paying for great service
Takeout was very disappointing.. i miss the old Thai Thai
not great. Wouldnt go back. Food was 20 mins longer than promised for a pickup order. Quality and prep were not what i expected. Barely touched the food.
Friendly service, sadly the restaurant has changed hands I recently discovered.
When I moved a block away in July of 2021 I was so excited to be so close to Thai Thai. I had a handful of amazing takeout orders from them until they suddenly closed. After what felt like 6 months I finally saw an open sign. I ordered what I had in the past for pickup online and walked over. When I arrived it felt like utter chaos, there was woman who seemed completely flustered and overwhelmed. I asked about my order and she told me she had many ahead of mine and I’d need to wait. There was a younger man there who did nothing. After waiting for an hour she let me know she was going to start my order but they didn’t have the main ingredient of my dish, chicken. She said she could give me chicken wings instead of chicken breast/meat. I reluctantly agreed because at that point I had waited an hour and gave her the benefit of the doubt that it might be amazing. I finally got my bag and walked home. It was horrible. Not edible. And I’ve not been back since. I waited to write this review for months because I wanted to see if I was alone here, but sadly I’m not. I’m heartbroken really because I loved this place. I know it’s under new management, however, some people should not own restaurants or cook for the public. That is how I feel about Thai Thai. Under this new manager/chef it should close.

Crab rangoons were burnt while also undercooked in the middle because of how they fold the dough. Pad Thai was flavorless and borderline inedible. Food was not ready until 25 minutes after the pickup time provided, which isn’t the end of the world, but seems to be a trend based on other reviews.
I really wanted this to be a good local spot but will not be wasting time and money here again.
Thai Thai use to be a great place.
Called and placed an order for pick up. Food wasn’t ready when I arrived. I ordered a Chicken teriyaki meal which should have came with the chicken, miso soup, rice and a salad. I only received the chicken because they said they did not have everything else, but they still charged me full price of $16! Safe your money and time do not dine here
This place is horrible I spent 60.00 dollars last night to be sick today with upset stomach food was so
Nasty chicken pad Thai was so watery and nasty peppers steak was super watery I won’t ever come back
Disgusting hard rice never again
I'm sure the food might be fine, not that I would know. 2hrs after ordering delivery, and the driver calls from an address almost 1.5 miles from me and when I tell him he is at the wrong address tells me that in fact, it is me who does not know my address. I confirmed the address was correct in the ordering app, but never did receive the food. Avoid ordering delivery from this establishment.
New owners. They are open on Tuesdays. Little slow. Not sure about the food. Will update
I used to love this place but sadly it’s become awful. It took two hours to get our food and we were there for pick up. It’s one old woman working in the kitchen—that’s it. She looked completely out of her mind. When we got home we discovered our order was wrong. We called to ask for our money back and we’re hung up on three times. What we had ordered and received was so bad I could not believe anyone would qualify it as takeout. I miss the old Thai Thai. I will never go back there again. I suggest it’s avoided at all cost!
Had enough of this place! Not what it was before. Long wait time for both delivery and pick up orders. Waited over 1 hour 45min for delivery and received overcooked tasteless pad thai. Yesterday ordered for pick up though the app, had to come back twice because they did not get my order right. Got home with disgusting chicken satay skewers and again over cooked, soggy, tasteless pad thai. And over priced! Frustrating to have this place go down hill after 10+ years as a customer.
I haven’t been in person and I am sure there food is good. Definitely do not order delivery if you would like to actually try the food. Two and a half hours later and nothing. This was after being told multiple times that the food would be here in twenty minutes. Longest twenty minutes of my life. Would have loved to add this place to a list of regulars, but I guess not.
Just fair warning if ordering delivery.
Changed my stars. On reflection the delivery was garbage. The food was good.
Avoid this place. If I could leave zero stars I would. Rude staff. Long waits. Inaccurate food ready times.
Alas, the reviews are true. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt that delivery was the problem, but nope, so is pickup. Was given a 15 minute delivery window and showed up at the end of it. Food hadn't been started yet, but was told it would take 20 minutes. 45 minutes later I left without any food. Sadly, don't waste your time.
Called at 7:12pm on a Wednesday and was told delivery in a hour. 9pm I called to inquire and they hung up on me. Phone was taken off the hook and I couldn't reach any one.
Never received my order.
Ordered for delivery, given 1 hour window. Restaurant is 5 mins from my house. Time passed and tried calling the restaurant multiple times, no answer. Emailed to order receipt and then 2 hours later delivery guy shows up, told driver to take it back. I called the restaurant and they finally picked up. Said it's been 2 hours and they didn't answer the phone so I got other food. Asked for my refund and she argued with me and did not agree. Could not barely even understand her. Will now need to deal with my credit card company to get a refund. Do not order from this restaurant!!
They are horrible on Grub-hub. I ordered and somehow showed that order had left. Order never arrived. When I called the restaurant they claimed they can no longer see my order to call Grub-hub instead of them addressing issue with Grub-hub. You risk not getting food from them.
Order was never delivered and the restaurant wouldn't take calls to inquire about it. One star, very disappointed.
Lovely experience. We ordered a beef noodle soup and panang curry. Our meal wasn't spectacular but it was pretty standard Thai fare. We also didn't order any of their specialties so I imagine those were better. Our waitress was very helpful and pleasant. We loved the coconut curry dessert.
had the pad thai and it was just ok. the textures all kind of seemed off?? idk. we got a basil rice side too and it was really strong and odd.
I had basil fried rice with tofu last night, got to choose the spice level (chose little spicy), and extra vegetable. And it was soooo flavorful and filled with a wonderful variety of veggies.
The yellow curry here is seriously amazing and such incredible prices. Very friendly staff.
This is one of my favorite!!! I love this place! Pad thai always on point extra spicy please!!! Costumer service gets 5 stars Also! Must try
The chicken pad thai is definitely above average. The egg rolls not so much
I used to eat here all the time before the new owners bought it a few years ago. Now the portions are tiny, less friendly staff and the food is just mediocre. We found out where the old owner opened another restaurant and when we want excellent Thai food, we go there. It’s a drive but worth every minute and penny!
Thai Valley, Manee Thai, and this place are the best authentic Thai places on the northwest side of Chicago.
Love their food! Vegetables are always fresh, and service is excellent! My favorites are Panang Curry, Rama delight, Pad Thai, and Basil Chicken Tom Yum Soup. I appreciate that I can order extra veggies for my main dishes, I get more than 1 meal. Prices are very reasonable.
Bland food all around. Pad Thai and red curry have no flavor. Curry was very watery and unappetizing.
I order and recieved my meal I paid 285 cent for two shrimp in my fried rice
WARNING: DO NOT GO HERE! I had troubles with my order and called the restaurant. Person who answered was rude. I got handed over to the manager or someone in a higher position, and he was worse. He was yelling at me on the phone and constantly interrupted me. He made it very hard for me to explain the situation without him yelling at me, saying things such as “what do you want me to do?”, “do you want me to pay for your mistake?”. The rudest staff I have ever spoken to.
I decided to try this place out and I was not disappointed! I ordered the Pad Thai and the Chicken Egg Rolls and it was delicious! This is my new go to! Support this small business and order directly from the restaurant's website! Thank me later! :)
First time in after driving past several times. I had the Pad Thai and the flavor was good, just a little light on the protein. I will try another dish soon.
Food was good if they actually gave me some. Got the bbq pork special it was 4 pieces of tiny pork over a pound of white rice. Mega fail
I'm having to leave this review because I have been coming to this location for the past 16 years maybe longer and the portions just seem to keep getting smaller and smaller. And now I'm paying all this money for some Pad Thai which really all it is are some noodles with sauce a little bit of meat... the portion is so small now and the quality isn't quite what it used to be. I can make far better Pad Thai at home. I remember getting a free almond cookie way back in the day. This place used to be wonderful. I may come back in about a year to see if it's gone back at all.
2 year ago I was there with my family, today try the food again, is so good like in the past, thank you!!!
yummy on my tummy
Great service, super tasty!✨✨
Food is soo delicious. 2 nd time here. Definitely will be back and bring my friends here.
Amazing Thai food.Perfectly cooked !
Simple place with fresh ingredients and tasty
We enjoyed this place thoroughly. Didnt get a pic of the food cuz we gobbled it up! We came in for a late snack. We shared an order of veggie potstickers. Each crispy half-moon of dough was so flavorful, almost didnt need the soy sauce. Som tum was great. We will ask for peppers next time. He really liked his chicken satay. We will definitely return.
Ordered door dash. Soup had a lot of canned mushrooms yuck. Small portions and pad thai noodles all broken. Asked for spicy. Not. And barely no chicken. Wont order again
Cozy, casual Thai spot with friendly service and some of the freshest, most flavorful food I've ever had.
Just tripped over this place. Yummy lunch Specials. Great prices. No Desserts. I'll be back for Dinner!
Customer service was good the food was delicious especially the steak pepper some peanut butter sauce. good I like their tea it's amazing.
Great food.
Great, great food small place good service friendly people
Good prices.Delicious food items.Great and friendly service. Would recommend to anyone looking for tasty Thai food.
Worst Thai basil and spring roll we have ever had!!! It tasted like it was made by weight watchers. Who puts ground chicken in a Thai basil dish? And who wraps a soring roll in white bread. I have to add the Mongolian beef was flavorless. I will not be hitting up any fusion Asian places from now on. Authentic only. Ugh!
A small sit-down spot but comfortable. Great service and the food was delicious!
Excellent pineapple curry. Delicious papaya salad. Scrumptious noodle dishes 😋
Great food! Love the size of Curry ! 👍👌
Great tasty Thai food! Pineapple fried rice and pad Thai are my favorite!
One of my favorite restaurant's of all time
Very good.....
Small portions of average food with TERRIBLE service. They charged us for things we didn't order or receive and refused to refund the items, when complained they didn't care. They were just cool with openly stealing.
Delicious food and really good prices :P
We Love Thai Thai! Used to order regularly when we lived in the city. Went back with the family and the food was exactly as i remember it...fantastic!!! Don't change a thing.
Great price point
Awesome food. Must try. I regret not coming here earlier. I ate pepper steak and udon noodles in miso broth with tofu. Everything was delicious.
Hit or miss service but the consistent excellence of the food makes up for it.
I like all the dishes I’ve tried (soups, all appetizers, noodle dishes and chicken dishes) the Tom kha soup and pot stickers are my favorite! Only giving it four stars cuz the customer service is meh and they don’t have drink size options for their teas ( which are 50% ice)
Not my favorite and their lunch specials aren't as competitive as some of the other local Thai joints, but convenient and good for carry out.
I'm a long time customer but will no longer be taking my business here. Placed an order for delivery and it took nearly 2.5 hours to arrive. Called to check on it and was told 15 minutes, took another 45 after it. When the food finally arrived it was cold, and I hardly wanted to eat after the awful experience.
Good thai food for a good price. Usually quick delivery
This place isn't far from my house and kept passing by wondering if it was good. Walked by one day and it smelled great! Finally went there tn and was not disappointed. Their Tom Kah soup was probably one of the best I've actually had. The Pad Thai was goodand the lard nar that my parents ordered was the only complaint.( not enough flavor) shrimp rolls were good as well. We'll def go again. The service was I'd say a B-. They def seem to be a more carry out place. You can tell that were they make most of the money. The inside is pretty small. About 5 tables. Over all i liked the place and would go again.
This is my go-to Thai place. Service is fast and the food is super good. I love the Tom Kha soup, Chive Dumplings, Curry Fried Rice, and Pad See Ewe. Seriously though, I haven't had anything bad off the menu. Great for a quick take-out night, although the space is nice enough to eat in.
Ok
I can't say I was impressed with the long wait time or the bland and lackluster food I had at Thai Thai. Though the location is convenient, parking is difficult and better Thai can be found at nearby restaurants. I would recommend that Thai Thai learn from the quality of Ruk Sushi on Milwaukee, and Hands On Modern Thai & Sushi Bar on Irving Park Road.
Great food at a good price!!
Ordered egg rolls, crab rangoon, cashew chicken and mixed veggies on Grubhub, it took 1:35 minutes to arrive. It arrived cold and had to be microwaved. Terrible, gross, awful. I really really hate this place. Really.
Delicious food, good price, friendly service
Delivery was less than expected.
Food was hot and we'll garnished.
Vegetables egg roll crispy and perfect light appetizer.
Spicy chicken pa thai so delicious didn't want to share.
Chicken fried rice delightful.
Wide selection
Happened upon this place by happy accident, food and service was great. Already recommended this place to friends.
It's dog food plan and simple. Don't not waste your money or time
Best Food in town. The only go to place for Thai food. Great service, and Amazing food.
Tasty and friendly place
This Thai Thai Restaurant is small but makes up on frendly staff and very good food.parking is limited on street.
They're awesome! Great selection, excellent food, great service!
We get carry out from here but now that they remodeled we might bring our own wine and dine in. Incredibly nice people.
Great Thai food with good vegetarian and vegan options.
Good food. Good portions. No ambience. Very small. Bad exhaust system. Definitely a take out only place.
Have it delivered. The food is pretty good and they deliver fast. A reliable option for quick Thai food.
I've been to Thai Thai monthly for the past year and a bit. I've visited 20 times in the past year alone. Today, my pad thai was so oily that I barely ate it. Additionally, they fed my friend (we always go here together) who is a strict vegetarian of 18-yrs chicken on his dish instead of tofu. It was a fried dish, so he didn't notice until he bit it.
Upon notifying them of their mistake, they demonstrated awful service. The waitress and cook spoke loudly to each other (not in English, so don't know what they were saying) and LAUGHING loudly about this. It's a very serious matter - feeding a vegetarian meat is akin to giving them instant food poisoning.
They remade the dish, he barely ate it (we didn't take it to go) and they still charged us full price for the entire meal. They were extremely rude and unapologetic -- and as a result, they've lost 2 regular customers.
Stopped by for a visit. Nice location!
some say this is the best in the city... I'm not yet convinced but not staying away.
Great food!
Not really nasty bad, but thier white rice has more flavor than everything else.
We love the food. It's always fresh! Good prices, great variety! Friendly people! Great service! Hasn't failed us yet!
Don't go here.
Good food, attentive service. The layout is unusual, which I found a trifle uncomfortable.
To-go portions here are much smaller than if u eat in, and u dont get the soup. Half our order was wrong, and there was absolutely no flavor. Huge disappointment.
Very difficult to order online but great food stop here every time I'm in the area
Cheap and fairly tasty. Could use new tables and chairs. Service was fast.
Fresh-tasting, solid delivery. A great alternative to heavy Chinese. The only thing I've ordered that I wasn't a fan of were the spring rolls -- they just weren't the type I was expecting. Everything else has been fab.
I ordered from here once via GrubHub, and specifically asked for no nuts seeds, or peanuts, because I'm allergic. Anyway, when my order came, it was covered in sesame seeds! Do not order from this place if you have allergies.
Best Thai place around!
This place has been around for quite a while and I must say that I like it since I keep coming back. The food has been consistently good and its reasonably priced and come in fairly large portions, its also BYOB. Very quick and very warm, friendly service.
Be warned, this a no frills sort of restaurant, the place is sparsely decorated and there is no real flare to the food presentation, but the flavor makes up for it . I've always been a fan of the rangoon, the fried tofu, the pad thai wth tofu, and the Panang!
So if you want to get some great tasting warm food in a casual everyday sort of way, then go here. But if you're looking to impress someone while out on a date, this place might definitely hurt your chances.
Very quality thai food in a very non consuming building. I do feel as if the quality of the food or perhaps the experience has diminished under the new ownership. The food that struck me as home made and authentic, has lost some of its appeal. That being said, have not had a bad meal here.
Excellent, quick food. I had the lunch special and it was only $6.95 and more than I could eat in one sitting. Wonderful, I will be back soon!
