Absolutely love it here! Eat Fine has quickly become a neighborhood favorite and I am impressed with each new menu item I try. The Larb Tod is so yummy and seriously addictive! The staff are so sweet and provide outstanding service.

I’ve been wanting to try this place since I’ve lived like two minutes away. Finally decided to eat there for Valentine’s Day dinner, reserved this spot like few weeks in advance since they don’t take walk in. We got there and it is a small restaurant and saw name cards on the table which making it easy to find your reserved table. As soon as we sat down the lady told us they’re working on our dish that we preorder. We waited for about 15 minutes for our first dish. We got two appetizers: crispy tofu and Tom Yum soup with veg in mild spice level. My husband got the red duck curry with medium spice level and I got the pad see ew with beef in mild spice level. The only dish they didn’t ask for spice level is the crispy tofu.

We both really enjoyed the Tom Yum soup, glad we picked mild spice level. It was just the right amount of spiciness, very flavorful and authentic. The crispy tofu was good with the sweet and sour with crushed peanut sauce. The red duck curry isn’t too spicy with medium level, it’s more on the sweeter side since it has longon and grapes in it. The duck tastes perfect, the dish comes with rice. I even pair the Tom Yum soup with some rice and it was good! Pad see ew wasn’t too spicy it does have a kick to it and I’m glad I picked mild instead of medium, which I love spicy food but mild level was right for me.

Overall I can’t wait to go back there again and try other dish since they have a huge selection on their menu! My husband isn’t a big fan of Thai food and he loved every single dish at Eat Fine Design. We both can’t wait to try other dishes there, whether it’s dine in or take out. They also gave us two Valentine’s Day sugar cookies as dessert when we’re ready to paid. Yes service may be a bit slow since it appears to be a one person job, the lady working there is trying her best, she asked how’s our food, she refill our water couple of times, she is also picking up the phone, packing take out orders, etc. just please give this restaurant a try, such a hidden gem in the neighborhood!

The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating! But very minor inconveniences, service times perhaps would've been a tad better if they had more staff, and it was a little too quiet in the dining room (adjacent tables could very easily hear our conversations, and vice versa). Nonetheless, we're looking forward to our next visit!

Diner Review №5

Second time be here and still no time left to take a picture. The food presentation combines artistic flair with playful element. The first time we tried all dishes in Thai spicy, and it tasted much stronger than ate the whole dish of jalapeños! I love the Roti Kaprow Krob. The coconut ice cream has some jasmine flavor😚

Diner Review №6

Amazing! Anyone who says otherwise, is full of it.

Diner Review №7

I love this place! i have been twice in 5 days (rare for me, especially in chicago with so many great options) and both times I have been extremely impressed with my food. The lemongrass sausage was amazing, and the larb tod (pork meatballs) are truly outstanding. The staff are also so sweet and kind and friendly!

The only entrees we have tried so far are the pad thai and the drunken noodle, which were both very good. I look forward to coming back often and working my way through the menu. They are doing great work here!

Diner Review №8

Unique specialties, very tasty and authentic food. We tried a half dozen dishes and everything was quality. Very kind and welcoming staff and a cozy vibe. Highly recommended!

Diner Review №9

The most amazing Thai food I've ever tried in Chicago! Authentic and hospitality is on the high level. We've been coming back to have a dinner almost every week for the last 2 weeks. Ploy, the host, is kind and professional. They also have fantastic flavorful vegan options, my gf is vegan and only loves thai vegan food here. Recommended to everyone! But don't forget to make a reservation! 😏

Came here for my birthday and boy were we so happy we did. We had a group of 8. Service was great. They were patient with our questions. Coursed with time so you didn't have 8 items all at once
The food was outstanding.
"best food I've had outside of Thailand" was the verdict.
Chive dumplings were amazing. The pumpkin curry was a huge hit.
Flavors were spectacular and they were exceptionally sweet singing me happy birthday with the entire restaurant.
I will be back here.. And I highly recommend you dine in they take reservations.. But I would easily do carry out if I couldn't get in.

Super amazing ! I work down the street and can’t help but come in all the time !

Diner Review №14

We first came here because of the high reviews and we made a reservation by phone around 8pm. The receptionist told us to order food in advance so we followed the advice of the restaurant. We ordered 4 dishes and told the restaurant that there would be 4 of us to make sure there would be enough tables and food.

However, when we arrived on time, there were no tables available. We had to wait 20 minutes to get a table. We then had to wait another 30 minutes for the first dish to arrive even though we had already ordered in advance. We were very hungry. Two of our friends decided to leave the restaurant and go to another restaurant nearby instead. My friend and I stayed.

When the food arrived at our table we could barely eat it. The fried chicken was very salty and the fried fish had a strange taste and smell. The fish meat was not fresh. We were not sure if it was spoiled or not.

The restaurant was very small and full of people waiting for a table. The restaurant smelled bad. Looking around the dining area, there were piles of leftover food and dishes on the empty tables. Customers had already eaten and left. We tried to get their staff's attention to inform them about the issue with the taste of the food we ordered but the staff was not friendly at all, and walked out of the dining area into the back of the restaurant for a long time. We noticed that the staff did not pay attention to us, and did not approach or look at our table. Luckily, two of our friends left so they didn't have to witness our bad experience.

The food was presented well but the service and taste of the food was very disappointing. The price of the food was expensive and not worth what we paid, so it was not enough to make us come back for a second time.

Diner Review №15

Eat Fine Restaurant absolutely blew me away. The service was impeccable – attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. But the real star of the show was the food. Every dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and creativity. The chef clearly has a passion for culinary excellence. I can't wait to go back and try more of their amazing creations!

Diner Review №16

The food at Eat Fine Design matches some of the very best Thai we’ve ever had!

The Kra Prow Puffs (chicken) were the standout dish and I could eat an entire meal of them! The pastry was hot and flaky and lent itself well to the filling inside. We also shared the Garlic Pork Ribs which were good but our least favorite dish.

My Kra Prow Gai Khai Dao ground chicken dish was full of nuanced flavor and paired well with the fried egg and rice. The green curry had tremendous depth and “mild” still had a good amount of spice. Still thinking about how good the food was!

Heads up this is reservation only. The woman behind the counter was working hard serving the entire dining room while also prepping to go orders.

Can’t wait to stop in again for dinner!

Diner Review №17

We stopped for take out and the food was superb! Delicious and they were accommodating of my food allergies. Their spice levels are very spicy and perfect for me. They did warn me about it ahead of time so I went for 4 out of 5 instead of my usual 5. All around, very very good food. Will visit when we're back!

Diner Review №18

food was really good but watch out if you dont have a high spice tolerance, my nose was runny the whole time but it was so good. i got the green curry, tastes about the same to red chili. mango sticky rice was also good.

Diner Review №19

Ordered delivery, rolls are good, red curry not so great, zero crispness to da duck, little duck meat, and overall not wow 😩

Diner Review №20

They don’t take walk-ins, so make sure to call to make a reservation! It’s a small restaurant with limited staff, but the food was GOOD; we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered:

- Crispy Chive Cake: Really tasty and crispy… the perfect appetizer.
- Durian Massaman Curry: As a durian lover, this dish is what I came for and it didn’t disappoint— the durian flavor is strong and there were sizeable chunks inside…. the curry was so rich and creamy.
- Tom Yum Noodle Soup: Really really enjoyed this as well; the soup was so delicious and flavorful, and the noodles absorbed the flavors well.
- Duck Red Curry: Quite good as well, but not as good as the other 2 entrees in my opinion; the duck was nice and crispy.
- Durian Crepe Cake: Had to end the meal with durian too; this was solid, but kind of wish it had more durian flavor.

It was quite pricey— ~$45 per person, but it felt totally worth it and I’d gladly return to try more of the menu!!

Diner Review №21

The food is amazing! My wife and I order from here at least once a week and have never been disappointed. Highly recommend!

Diner Review №22

Excellent and authentic Thai food. Be aware that their lower spice level is already hot for average people 😜

Diner Review №23

Eat Fine Design by Khun Kung offers an exceptional Thai dining experience in the heart of Chicago. The sleek, modern decor creates a welcoming atmosphere, while the food is a true standout. We started with the Tom Kha Soup, which was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced with flavors of coconut, lemongrass, and a hint of spice. The Panang Curry was equally impressive—tender chicken in a fragrant, slightly sweet sauce that was comfort food at its finest. The Drunken Noodles were packed with flavor and the Fried Chicken Gyoza was crispy, juicy, and full of flavor.

What truly made the experience special, though, was the exceptional service. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, making sure our meal was perfect from start to finish. They took the time to explain the dishes and even suggested pairings, which added a personal touch to our visit.

Whether you’re a local or just visiting Chicago, Eat Fine Design by Khun Kung is a fantastic spot for high-quality Thai food and top-notch service. Highly recommend!

November 2024 BYOB
We made a reservation 1 day ahead. The food was very good, especially the green curry with chicken. The tilapia dish had a lot of flavor and the presentation was nice. The app sausage was nothing special and somewhat fatty.
The service was super slow.
Ambiance was underwhelming with big boxes of to go dished prominently displayed in the middle of the room. We still don't understand why this place is by reservation only.
We might try it one more time.

Diner Review №25

We ordered a Crispy Chive Cakes as starter, a durian massanman curry with stewed beef mild spicy, a Pad See Ew with shrimp and mango sticky rice. Every dish is good. Remember to make a reservation.

This place is a hike in the wall type of thing. But. OMG is sooooo good! Best Thai place I been in town. And I been in quite few. As I love Thai! The food is so flavorful 👌🏻 every dish is an explosion of flavors and aromas 😊. The presentations are expectacular and the service ( even if is only one server, who pretty much do all ) is great 👌🏻🫶🏻

Diner Review №34

Best late night Thai food that I’ve had in Chicago. I’ve had the pad see ew, larb, curry puff, and sun dried beef, and all are delicious.

They do NOT play on their spice; a 3 here is a 5 at most other Thai places in the area. I love spice and stick to a 2-3, but they will make with no spice if you ask.

Highly recommend!

Diner Review №35

Definitely make a reservation and pre-order. Great variety of authenic and creative dishes. Heat level seemed authentic for the dishes we had, so order accordingly.

Diner Review №38

We were there to celebrate my wife’s birthday and They literally ruined it. Only one serve for the restaurant. She is nice but busy with pick up and NEVER checked on us after putting food on our table. They will automatically charge you 20% tips too with this kind of service. We have two younger kids and they made us waited for half an hour AFTER finish eating and we finally decided to leave without eating our cake. We had to ask multiple times to get our check and our table was not cleaned before giving us the desert. Food is super salty too and nothing special. We had many leftovers. Will never go back.

How can a tiny restaurant stay alive with such limited hours as Wed-Sun 5pm to 2am? Because it is fantastic. Everything is absolutely delicious. Worth the wait. Worth the time. Small, reservation only place (apparently?). I could not possibly write a more helpful review than the detailed reviews others have written. Read them. All the five star reviews are correct.

I'm a sucker for good, deeply flavorful hot and sour soup (Tom Yum soup), which I think is deceptively hard to make well from experience. They make it well in TWO styles, but their menu is so much more expansive. They offer an eclectic variety of what I think are dishes from all over Thailand, and each dish is its own little gem.

I keep seeing that it's "reservation only," but I walked in by myself without a reservation. It's likely that they accepted me because I was by myself rather than coming in as a group. It makes sense now that the other patrons were medium-to-large groups.

Diner Review №45

This restaurant is a scam. They are never actually open and have a permanent sign in the window claiming they are sold out for the night. This sign is up on days when the rest is listed as closed. I have never seen legitimate customers in there past the first couple of weeks after they opened.

Diner Review №48

I am always on the hunt for good Thai food. After seeing some reviews on this joint, this immediately became the next on my list. However, it turns out that it is not very easy to get a reservation at this reservation only joint, even though they open until 2am! I had to wait a couple of weeks before we can get in before 9pm. Once we got in, we know the reason why. It is a small joint, the hostess is also the waitress, even with only 3 tables, it took a while for the food to come out, and we pre-ordered actually. They have a lot of carry outs as well, and they put priorities on the carry outs from what I can see. You have to be patient, because it is all worth the wait.
My suggestion is to skip the regular menu and attack the specialty menu only. There are unique dishes from all over Thailand. The hot pots from the North East region, which you will never find in Bangkok and surrounding areas. Fried Chicken from the south and other unique dishes which fits it's name, Eat Fine Design. Next time, we will need to meet Khun Kung and find out where they got the inspirations from.
The Taro Puff is basically taro fillings in a pastry, the pastry layer is puffy and crispy at the same time, with mouth watering sillky smooth sweet taro fillings. I normally don't want to eat dessert type of appetizers as a starter, but if you mix it with the accompanying sweet sauce and the light curry sauce, it makes perfect sense as an appetizer. Sweet and savory, I never thought that combination would work.
The Basil Crispy Duck was made perfect, the two large pieces of Duck Confit was crispy on the outside with tender meat deep fried to perfection. I can tell you this, it is better than some of the French joints around Michigan Ave. The spicy sauce has a bit of kick, not overly spicy even though we ordered the SPICY level (Mild, Medium, Spicy and Thai Spicy). Your taste buds really get kick into over drive.
Then it was the house favorite Fire Cup Noodle, we ordered the Beef Ribs to go with it. It is actually not easy to stir fry instant cup noodles, the noodles have to be cooked juts before al dente, and then let the heat and moisture from the stir fry and sauce to complete it, it was just right. The beef ribs were on point as well, tender and flavorful. I do have to warn you, the spice level of this dish is far beyond the traditional scale, even when we ordered the medium level, it was far more spicier than anything we have had here by at least 2 levels, but it was so good.
The last dish we had was the Hor Mok Talay, which has to be ordered one day in advance (pre-order) because it takes 45 mins to cook. It is basically minced fish mixed in with curry, and baked inside of a hollowed coconut shell with calamari, prawns and other spices. The consistency of the curry mixed with the minced fish is like a thick paste, the flavor of this dish is explosive! I have never had anything like that in my life. It is very unique that is for sure.
The dessert mango sticky rice was not the typical ones you would expect else where. The coconut sauce was served on the side, warm sweet sticky rice and mango. There is a hint of jasmine aroma infused into the coconut sauce, similar to what you get in the jasmine bubble teas. It really puts a different spin on this traditional dessert. The only thing is, no alcohol here, no BYOB, but you can always try to cool down the spice with a bit of Thai Ice Tea.
I will definitely come back to try the other specialties in the menu, if we can get in!

Diner Review №49

I went there with friends, and tried so many dishes as we shared family-style! Everything tasted wonderful, and the service was prompt & friendly.

I’d love to come back again with a smaller group or by myself for a more intimate experience.

Thank you!

Been here once , I would say been able to eat here once out of the three attempts; food was decent , just a little bit heavy on salt, their service was ok unfortunately their business hours are very uncertain , if you want to come here , would be suggesting to call in advance because their hours are not same as how it displayed on google

Diner Review №51

Taste just like what I had in Thailand - rich flavour.

Diner Review №52

Overall I enjoyed the experience. I loved the fried coconut tofu, super delicious. The beef pot definitely worth it as well, well-flavored and the meat is soft and tasty. The tom yum soup is the best I have ever had in Chicago, abundant flavor and very addictive.
The only dish I’m disappointed is the spicy crab pad thai. The server brought us gloves so I assume the whole crab is at least edible. Didn’t expect it to be super fresh but when we open it it’s just stale. Maybe it’s for decoration purposes only? Not sure about that. The noodle was good tho.
The service was great, small and clean restaurants.

I honestly think this is the best Thai food I have had. I love their Cashew nut entree. And overall the food feels well made with good ingredients.
I just HATE for one reason or another they don’t take orders even if they’re opened. They randomly close a lot on days they’re suppose to be opened. Almost every single time I want to call or make an online order they either don’t answer or they’re not allowing online orders at that time. I have bad luck trying to order food from here 😭. They’re very busy so they’re inconsistent about service. The food is really good… worth the trouble.

Eat Fine Design By Khun Kung: A Culinary Journey Through Thailand in Chicago

During a foodie exploration in Chicago, I discovered "Eat Fine Design By Khun Kung," a restaurant that crafts a remarkable Thai culinary experience. This charming spot embodies the essence of Thailand with its classic decorations and melodious traditional music, setting a perfect stage for a memorable meal.

Food Highlights:

-Thai Sun Dried Beef: The sun-dried beef was wonderfully prepared, crispy, and flavorful, paired excellently with a spicy Thai sriracha sauce that added just the right kick.

-Po Tak Talay: This medium spicy seafood soup was a vibrant medley of prawns, fish, scallops, squid, mussels, and crab. Infused with chilies, lemongrass, lime leaves, and other aromatic herbs like galangal and mint, each sip was both spicy and soothing.

-Duck Red Curry: The duck red curry was a decadent affair, featuring creamy coconut curry with a generous mix of tomatoes, bell pepper, pineapple, lychee, and basil leaves. The roasted duck was tender and perfectly complemented the rich, Thai spicy curry.

Service and Atmosphere:
The service can be slow as there's often just one waitress, but the authentic setting and the quality of the meals make the wait worthwhile.

Overall Experience:
Eat Fine Design excels at using traditional spices and ingredients to deliver dishes that are both authentic and innovative. The balance of flavors in their dishes is a testament to their commitment to the real food movement, using fresh, quality ingredients.

The best Thai restaurant in Chicago

Diner Review №64

best thai food in Chicago and outside of Thailand. So grateful this restaurant is in our neighborhood and has quickly become our regular spot! We have ordered take-out as well as dined in both multiple times, and the quality is always top notch! Make a reservation on a Friday or Saturday night to dine in since it is a very small restaurant. Service is so friendly and kind. I crave their noodle dishes and fried rice and just everything honestly is so delicious!

Diner Review №65

Warm and friendly service but the food was only so-so. I have definitely had better Thai food in the city at the same price point. One thing they did well here was the authenticity of the spice level. Solid neighborhood spot but not worth going out of your way to try.

Diner Review №66

Everything was incredible and the staff are the nicest. Try the duck curry!

Diner Review №67

Finally, someone who can cook Central Region dishes than just street food crab or Northeastern region dishes. Food is so delicious and just authentic. Hate the street parking, though.

Diner Review №68

Upon arrival these gringos were a little nervous that we might have dropped in to a slightly TOO authentic restaurant. Have you ever done that? You’re looking for something delicious and fresh and authentic, but the food turns out to just not jive with your palette? Well thankfully that wasn’t our experience here. In fact, it was probably the best food I’ve had in months.

We had to wait a bit for the waitress to clear and clean the tables and sit us down. But she worked fast and was very kind. We were offered a business card with a QR code menu. I chose the Signature (Guay Tiew Kau Gai) with chicken. The wife chose the Pad See Ew with tofu. When my wife asked for medium heat the waitress made a face and asked “are you sure?” My wife changed it to mild with heat on the side. I went ahead with medium heat, and then my wife reminded me what happened the last time a waitress told us the food was spicy. After some hemming and hawing I asked the waitress to change it to mild with heat on the side, and she ran back to the kitchen. I felt bad, imagining my food being thrown aside and started over.

My food came out first and smelled good. I waited a minute or two for my wife’s to come out, and we dug in. At first the crispy noodles were challenging, as no knife was provided and the texture was too tough to easily chew through. But persistence paid off and as I made progress I realized how wonderful it was to exert myself in chewing this stuff, as if the textures and flavors were being unlocked in my mouth like a hidden treasure. The defining flavor of my dish was this powerful saltiness that was somehow offset by a mild sweetness, which was salty in the most satisfying way without ever feeling overwhelming or off-putting. I had to fight through this tangled mess of crispy noodles, fried wontons falling off the plate and onto the table and me happily picking them up and placing them right back onto the plate. For me cleanliness is typically sacrosanct, that’s how good this was, and as I worked through it I found hidden layers of lettuce, scallions and egg, which at one advanced point in the dish ran with a golden delicious creaminess. I dipped the chicken in the sauce provided, which tasted like a mix of Louisiana hot sauce, BBQ sauce, and Sri Racha, and felt appropriately spicy in moderate increments.

I ate a little over three-quarters of my meal and my wife ate a little more than that. We finished it the next morning with our coffee and were once again deeply and thoroughly satisfied. Do yourself a favor and eat here, but don’t come too often and don’t tell your friends, because you know what happens once word gets out.

Diner Review №69

Only one word to describe… DELICIOUS!!!
I finally tried their food today. It looks pricy but after I saw the portion and tasted the food. Five stars!!!

Highly recommend for authentic Thai food in Chicago area.

Diner Review №70

Eat Fine Design may not have the most attention-grabbing name, but it's hands down the best Thai restaurant I've come across in Chicago!

The restaurant itself is cozy with a very friendly staff. The space accommodates about 5-6 groups at a time. It’s worth booking a table ahead of time since they are always very busy, and it’s nearly impossible to get a walk-in table before 8:30.

The food here is truly exceptional, with each dish carrying unique flavors and plated beautifully. Among the appetizers, the crispy chives cakes stood out for their crispy exterior and gooey center, the crispy calamari for a delightful fish-flavored spice, the Eson sausage with a rich and porky taste, and the papaya salad for its incredibly refreshing taste.

Moving on to the mains, the duck red curry featured crispy duck pieces and a medley of fruits, including lychees, pineapple, and grapes—an unexpectedly delightful combination. The durian Massaman curry packed a strong kick with creamy durian pieces. The Gway Teow offered a comforting noodle dish, and the basil tilapia was well-flavored with crispy pieces of tilapia. The fire cup packed a serious punch of heat, while the flavor was comforting.

One standout feature is that all curry dishes come with a side of purple rice, offering a healthy alternative to the standard jasmine rice. It's worth noting that their spice levels are on a Thai scale, so even mild spice here can be quite spicy elsewhere. With such an extensive menu of unique Thai dishes of great quality, we can't wait to return and explore more of what they have to offer.

Diner Review №71

Myself and multiple friends arrived towards the end of the night. We were welcomed warmly & served. The food was amazing! The fried gyoza & pumpkin curry Jay did not disappoint. The level of spice is strong, so do listen to the server's warning about the level. If you like spicy food (like me) you're in for a treat! I do recommend the pumpkin curry Jay 🥰 The mango sticky rice was great too. There was nice music at an appropriate and pleasing volume playing in the background. I'm definitely going back., especially since I was able to get vegetarian options that were hearty and good.

Unique, gourmet Thai food, with gorgeous flavors that shift your perception of what Thai food can be. I highly recommend the chefs specials!!! Unbelievably special and Divine!!!!

Diner Review №74

Eat Fine must be the one of the best, if not the best Thai restaurants in Chicago. It has everything going for it, and they even have a very clearly marked vegetarian and vegan menu section as well! It's so nice, and surprisingly rare, to have a restaurant clearly mark their menu. My favorite dish is the pad thai. A reservation is a must, and it's also wise to order your food ahead of time (pretty cool that they offer this!). Good luck getting a table before 8:30 PM if you try walking in. We've had their takeout and dine in and it's seriously some of the most addicting and delicious Thai food. I love this restaurant and I hope they grow enough to be able to add more staff to help with the overwhelming demand.

Diner Review №78

Absolutely incredible Thai in Chicago. Probably the best Thai I’ve had outside of Thailand. The staff are so friendly and food comes out perfect every time. Fantastic flavor in every dish. Tom Yum soup is insane and the curries are great too. Can’t go wrong with anything on this menu!

Diner Review №79

Okay lots of people love this food….me personally I think the food is just good. The server was overwhelmed, not staffed enough, and boxes in the corners…still I would rate it off its food, and the server (being mindful she was BUSY)! The food was just good, I think there are better options but this place is open pretty late so that’s a plus!

Diner Review №80

Fantastic flavor and friendly service. I'll definitely come back!

Diner Review №81

Came here three times and truly enjoyed everything we've ordered. Especially the Chiang Mai set, somtum, durian curry, drunken noodles with beef short ribs, and roti dessert with coconut ice cream and pandan sauce. Their food is authentically Thai, and so is their spice level. Would love to come again to try their other menus.

However, their service is quite slow. I would recommend pre ordering, reserving a table, and coming early! I hope they hire more staff to support their growing business!

Diner Review №82

Set your expectations. This is a very small restaurant with one person running the front of house. The kitchen is slow, but the food is probably the most authentic and heartfelt Thai in hundreds of miles. The spice levels are unabashedly Thai, so opt for what they call "mild" (and I am not one to shy from spice). The food is authentic and incredibly fresh as it almost is certainly cooked to order. The menu is very long but go for the stuff you've never heard of or tried -- it's a true adventure.

The durian curry tasted good but the chicken thigh inside was not that fresh (I felt like if it’s chopped into pieces instead of as a whole, the strong curry flavor will cove it up… and made the chicken more flavorful... ). Cup noodle dish was a little bit too salty but the beef rib tasted good. The problem was that it seemed they were extremely understaffed that day. It took half an hour until we could place our order, and took an hour and a half for our first dish to come. The waitress was really nice though or I would be furious waited that long.

Diner Review №90

Food was great but lack of staff to serve at night.

Diner Review №91

Great food and service. We got the red curry, chicken pad thai and crab ragoons and all were great. Everything has a unique taste compared to other thai places (a good unique). Will be coming again.

Waited a bit long for food but it was worth it. Seems like online ordering is popular.

Recommend making a reservation. We got lucky and they had a table but we saw people get turned down with no reservation.

Diner Review №92

Great orange chicken

Diner Review №93

very friendly staff and tasty food!

Diner Review №94

Absolutely delicious and oh so fresh! Ordered this and so glad I did. Their crab rangoons were silky, their wonton soup was divine and their spring rolls were perfectly crisp and hearty. Everything we ordered was delectable.

Diner Review №95

Awesome food. I’m definitely fall in love with the restaurant!!!!

Diner Review №97

wow. first time here and it was so good ! we dined in and loved everything, we will definitely be back to try more.

Diner Review №98

Late bite and to my surprise, delicious! I ordered vegan tofu fried rice and vegan tofu rice noodles - mild. Flavorful, just the right amount of heat and freshly made to order. My husband enjoyed their veggie crispy egg rolls as well. Definitely recommend trying this place out!

Diner Review №99

Amazing authentic food with vast menu!
Open late hours which is another plus.

Diner Review №100

Diner Review №101

Easily the best Thai in Chicago. Watch out, it’s really spicy, and the food takes a while to be ready, so be prepared.

Diner Review №102

Diner Review №103

This restaurant has some of the best Thai food I've ever eaten. Our server was very attentive and made sure throughout the meal that we had everything we wanted. We will definitely be back.

Diner Review №104

Great Thai food!
I wish there's lunch as well so that I could try to Thai Tea...

Diner Review №105

Delicious 😋 and excellent service!

Diner Review №106

What a find! As a person who loves Thai food And has lived around the world, I’m always on the search for authentic, flavourful Thai food where ever I’m living. This is my favourite in Chicago!! Bursting with flavour, lots of classic Thai dishes along with some new interesting twist, there is something for everyone. I had their Tom Yum soup - sooo good just like I’ve had in Thailand. Massaman curry was delicious and lastly the Panang curry was so flavourful, creamy and a perfect balance of sweet spicy and tangy. Honestly I’ve had some average Panangs and some really good ones, this is definitely a really really good Panang curry. I’m definitely going to be a regular here.

Diner Review №107

My absolute favorite Thai restaurant in Chicago! I loved every drink and food dish I ordered. My absolute favorites are the Tom kha soup, milky Tom yum soup, pad thai in egg wrap, pad see ew, Thai green tea, coconut ice cream, strawberry soda, yum woonsen, and fried fish cakes. It’s a family owned restaurant so service is a bit slow but they are the sweetest people.

Diner Review №108

Great food with some creative options beyond the standard thai menu! My new favorite in Chicago

Diner Review №109

Long wait

Diner Review №110

This is the best Thai food restaurant in Bucktown. They’re so friendly and the food is absolutely amazing. The service can be slow so order far in advance.

Diner Review №111

Finally, an authentic Thai restaurant in bucktown that will let you stretch the normal limits of spicy. This will now be my new weekly spot for noodles and rice after a night out. Place looks family ran and has unique dishes. Make a stop and at a minimum try your might be ordering a dish hot!

Diner Review №112

Amazing food and service. The duck red curry was great as was the tom yum soup. They are open late which makes it a great choice for some night time dining.

Diner Review №113

Delicious food and amazing service. Can’t wait to come back here!

Diner Review №114

Beautiful plating, really amazing flavors and good heat. Will be back!!!

Diner Review №117

Please, try this place!
This is a new Thai place that has some INSANE food! Please make sure you’re patient when ordering and that it might cost a little more than the regular $12.99 pad Thai, but believe me, it is so worth it!
We tried the crispy duck (omg), the thai crepe (so crispy as well), the crab fried rice with minced fresh crab on top, and the beef salad, that also was very good!
Please, come try this place as you won’t be disappointed, it has been one of the best places I’ve found recently!

Diner Review №118

Everything was amazing !!! we will definitely be ordering again!!!

Diner Review №119

The food is fantastic and very authentic! I’d recommend calling an hour beforehand so you wouldn’t have to wait too long.

Diner Review №120

New favorite lunch spot. They have 4 different lunch sets to choose from and each are $10.99. Great price! I’ve gotten both the red curry and another time the drunken noodles and both were so incredibly tasty because the ingredients are fresh (not frozen veg and to order) and made with so much passion. To top nice customer service - I think they are family run. Thanks for being a great new staple to the neighborhood.

Diner Review №121

It is very good. I had the mango curry.

Diner Review №122

As a Thai person myself, I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Unique menu with delicious Thai food, this has become my go-to favorite Thai restaurant even for someone who often cooks Thai food at home. It is family run with an energetic and polite waitress who is the daughter and the chef is her mother. Love the homely and peaceful dining room feel.

The food has good flavors with interesting twists and plating to Thai recipes. Definitely made by someone who loves to cook and develop recipes. Not your average Thai restaurant in the States!

Diner Review №123

One of the few places in the city that serve authentic Thai food. The food flavor is very good and taste just like what you can find in Bangkok. 'Pad kee maw' Drunken noodle with beef ribs is a must try.

One thing to note, the chef doesn't hold back on the chili, so it's best to stick with mild-medium spicy level on your first visit.

Diner Review №124

The best Thai place in Chicago! Love it.

Diner Review №125

Went there few weeks ago and we loved the food. Ordered Hat Yai fried chicken, crispy chive cakes, Khao Yum Pak Tai (herbal rice salad) and Pad Thai Kung Sod with egg wrap. We loved each dish, super tasty, especially the chive cake, my personal favorite. Definitely going back to try other dishes!

Diner Review №126

We ordered takeout and everything was so delicious. We ordered their crazy calamari and their massamun curry and both were superb. They were still fantastic as leftovers the next day!

Diner Review №127

Food absolutely blew us away! The best chive dumplings I've had in my life. The flavor of the sauce for the cashew chicken was so umami and complex and delicious. Place is SPICY. Normally order my food medium+/spicy. And the plain medium had us huffing and puffing. Keep the spice level in mind and you'll LOVE it. Great place for the neighborhood.

Diner Review №128

Diner Review №129

What a freaking gem. So lucky to have this place in the neighborhood. 10/10. Wonderfully authentic Thai food. Great and reasonable price. I’m finishing my beef hotpot here and I’m feeling sad that it’d be over. But I’m glad it’s here and I’ll be back very soon both physically and through Grubhub.

Ever since I ordered from Eat Fine Design by Khun Kung when they were a ghost kitchen during the pandemic, they became my favorite Thai restaurant in Chicago! The food is absolutely phenomenal, full of flavor, and a heat level that is not toned-down!

Diner Review №133

Very nice setting
Best most authentic Thai food I ever had in the states
They know their stuff
And very lovely people
Highly recommended

Diner Review №134

Came here for lunch and had lovely service and even better food. Great spot with a big menu full of authentic Thai dishes, and wonderfully spicy options (if you like spicy food! They also make mild options of course.)

Really excited to have such a yummy Thai spot in the area!

There is booth seating with chairs as well. Currently they have fans as well as a portable AC, which keeps the indoor space comfortable to sit in.

Diner Review №135

It was great! Every dish came out fast and delicious. Recommend the chive cake (fried to perfection) and the Panang curry (the best i’ve ever had).

Please stop what you are doing and take your partner on a date here this week.

Diner Review №136

What a gift to the neighborhood. Eat Fine, I love you. Your food is so fresh and beautiful, it makes me so happy.

Diner Review №137

This was the first time trying this restaurant. The staff was super friendly while I was waiting for the takeout order, it was packed carefully and they made the order to specifications. When I got home the food portions were plentiful, the food was hot and fresh and the flavors profiles were amazing. Completely worth the money spent. 100 percent recommend trying.

Diner Review №138

We came here for dinner and everything was perfect. Generous amount of food + spectacular service. Best authentic Thai food in Chicago. We are definitely coming back.

Diner Review №139

Great vegan options

Diner Review №140

Diner Review №141

Friendly, clean, and tasty. I had the short ribs with the noodles and steamed vegetables. The short rib was very tender, and the whole dish had the perfect amount of spice and flavors. I highly recommend and can't wait to try something new on my next visit.

Diner Review №142

Very nice staff, amazing food. If you love truly authentic Thai food, you will love this place. Surpasses every other Thai restaurant I've ever been to in terms of quality. You will not be disappointed.

Diner Review №143

Diner Review №144

I stopped in to this new Thai spot today in Wicker Park and it was amazing. I had the Fire Cup Noodles which was a house special. It was fire! Delicious! Great ratio of just the right spice and flavor. The beef ribs on top were so tender and flavorful. Not to mention the presentation! 5/5!

Diner Review №145

Officially the best Thai food in Chicago. By a significant margin.

Be careful, spice levels actually reflect Thai spice levels, not American spice levels.

Diner Review №146

If you're looking for authentic Thai food, this is your place! My boyfriend and I ate here two nights in a row. The chef really knows what she's doing, the flavors are so bold, I feel like I'm transported to Thailand. The first night we had the special pad thai, the noodles were perfectly done, has a little chewiness like it should and has the smokiness most places are missing. Flavor is on point. We then decided to try the gai yang meal with papaya salad and sticky rice, all for I think was $30. What a steal. Papaya salad was solid with crispy chicken, well seasoned. I usually prefer grilled gai yang though. But the next night we had the hat yai chicken, and goodness!! I was surprised how juicy it was!! Amazing, I'm usually the one that never orders chicken cause I'm scared it'll dry out. Beef salad was delicious too! Sauces for all the dishes are perfect. That hot pot though, I've never had Thai hot pot like that before and was pleasantly surprised how flavorful the vegetable broth was. I wasn't missing the meat at all. It was so aromatic with kaffir lime leaves, dill, mushrooms... I definitely will be back for this. Iced green Thai tea and regular Thai tea were both fantastic. My boyfriend had the matcha latte with mango sauce... and I will be getting the mango sauce next time.

The variety is overwhelming to choose but just makes me excited to try the entire menu. The chef likes to change up the menu too so it'll keep things fresh. Nice family owned restaurant, great people. Only thing is they just opened this week so there are some kinks to work out with timing. We waited quite awhile for our food the first night but with those flavors... totally worth it! We were so full each night, we didn't even get to try the desserts yet... until next time.

Diner Review №147

By far the best Thai food I have had in Chicago. Service was also excellent (it’s family run!)

Diner Review №148

So many choices!!! We loved what we had, especially the Beef Salad. You can specify from around 5 spiciness levels from “no spice “ to “Thai Spice”. Lovely service. Reasonable prices.

Diner Review №149

Wonderful family-owned restaurant with kind and attentive staff. Hands-down some of the best Thai food I’ve had in Chicago!

Diner Review №150

Diner Review №153

Diner Review №154

This is by far the best Thai food I've ever had. Ordered delivery and had Tom kha and jungle curry. The dishes are really well flavored and they use the right amount of spices! Price is fair and order portion is generous. Would order again.

Diner Review №155

I got the vegan pad woon sen and it was delicious! And they have the option to make the Thai iced tea with almond milk. I'm definitely going to be trying more of their veggie options :)

Diner Review №156

Food was perfectly prepared according to my specifications. Best Larb in Chicago IMO...please never stop offering this dish, the chicken broth tofu soup and the jasmine riceberry side...

Diner Review №157

Best thai restaurant, 10/10 !
Although anything you get is going to be crazy good, Tilapia filet with spicy basil sauce is a must try!

Diner Review №158

Literally my favorite place to eat! I order a few times a week and the food is ALWAYS great! Their Thai Iced Tea is my absolute favorite I wish I could buy it by the gallon. Each time I order there's a sweet note on the food and it makes my day. I genuinely love this place ANYTHING you order will be amazing!

Their food is extremelyyyyyyyy gooddddddddd. Oh and they understand the meaning of spicy. You wont regret ordering from them :)

Diner Review №162

Great food made by some great people! Love supporting small businesses, and will continue ordering from theirs. Panang curry with tofu and a Thai iced tea is my favorite. Their mango sticky rice is just sweet enough to satisfy my craving 😋

Diner Review №163

Very good quality, great taste, and opened so late! Thank you Khun Kung

Diner Review №164

Very sweet people, who you can tell care about their food, your experience, and appreciate your business. Best and most thorough take-out I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

Diner Review №165

Since moving to Chicago two years ago, I’ve been looking for authentic Thai food. This place is it, not the off taste Americanized version. I need the deep flavors of Southeast Asia. Usually Milwaukee has the best Thai/Lao food, but this restaurant is great! I now have a go-to place for my Thai/Lao food fix.

Diner Review №166

Beyond pleased with this takeout. I took a chance cause they popped up on my feed as a new option for takeout. The name intrigued me and I was so glad I took a chance. We went to pickup the meal which can seem confusing. But its.located inside a hub with other restaurants slangin there goodz and well I just wanted to especially show this place LOVE. they were very grateful for our business and it showed. They left adorable notes on there boxes and wrapped everything in foil. To ensure heat...
I honestly picked it up ND couldn't even wait til I got home. I opened the moo ping in the carNd was so pleasantly surprised it came with purple sticky rice. I loved the texture. So tasty. The Thai tea was devoured so quickly I needed two more of those. Lol
The pad thai was delicious.
But this BEEF SALAD I had was out of this world good. So FRESH SO TANGY.!!!!!!
WILL definitely be back to eat more food from this fine establishment..
Thanks to the chefs who made my meal.

Diner Review №167

I really like this place. My fiancé and I ordered from them about a week ago and both loved our food. In addition to my entree, I always order Tom Yum soup with shrimp when I get Thai. I was slightly turned off at first because it was quite pricey (in my opinion) but this may be the best Tom Yum soup I’ve ever had! I gladly ordered it again just days later and it was just as amazing as the first time. I can tell they put a lot of thought into their food and it’s made with quality ingredients. Keep up the great work!
