They’ve brought it back and between the food and the fun space they’ve created, we’ll be back too!

Top notch service and super quality food!! Try the fat noodle pad Thai and the and the girlfriend loves the John Snow sushi roll and summer maki. The ramen is top notch, being delivered. Everything is packed up with care. My main squeeze is gluten-free and they have so many options.
She also always asks for extra unagi sauce and they always give us more. The Crab Rangoon is super good.

I believe that the service and atmosphere that they provide is top notch and goes over any expectations I’ve had for a restaurant previously. Ninja Sushi & Thai is our go-to take out food. We have it several times a month and it never disappoints. We were so sad when we thought they had closed (I guess there was some remodeling? not sure) So when they opened back up again, it was such a relief. We tried several other places during that time and none were as good in my opinion.

My favorite roll is the Sunrise Roll. Delish!

Beautiful! Loved the crab rangoons and tako yaki. The spicy americano roll was the best. We loved that stamped wasabi. Presentation and the vibes were all there. It was better than all the places nearby that we were looking into. So glad we got to try and now have a sushi place that won't disappoint.

I came with my daughter for our first time and we loved everything we had! We ordered edamame, chicken gyoza and ebi tempura maki. The service was great also!

The place was cozy and clean. Staff was attentive and friendly. We ordered crab rangoon, it was delicious but I wish we ordered more because they only served five pieces. Aside from that, we had orange chicken and crispy chicken cashew and it was so-so. I also had dragon roll and spicy ebi maki. The dragon roll was super worth it!!!

I went with my husband and fell I love with this place it was soo good, Thai chili wings is a must try crispy and not oily and fresh. Sushi was good we had the ninja sushi. And of course gyoza and and pad Thai it was all very tasty and the service was so on point, so nice and welcoming and checked in often!! I will be back need more of those wings 🙌🏼

The flavor of the food is very good, PadThai, Tom Kha soup as well. I understand everything is so expensive now,but beside getting 3 shrimp on the soup we got 2 slices of white mushrooms, at least we could have a few more slices as that mushrooms is not expensive as maybe shiitake or other mushrooms.

On this night we visited Ninja Sushi in Portage Park for a late night dinner. We had talked about this place but I wasn’t sure that it was a good choice for me. It seemed gimmicky.
I was wrong!
The theme ties nicely with a homey Japanese ambiance end decor inside. Feels like a Wicker Park place in Portage Park.
But… the real surprise was in the food! Here we go!
We ordered Cucumber and Fried Tofu with Peanut sauce, Tamako, Woon Sen Pad Thai, Veggie Monster Maki, and Spider Maki. And since it’s a BYOB, I chose to pair that with ROAM Hard Kombucha Hibiscus Berry.
The salad was very tasty with the dressing being well balanced but light on the sweetness and tanginess. Now… here is where the story takes a violent turn. I DO NOT LIKE TOFU and used to think that it was a food that should have never been made. UNTIL I tried Ninja’s Fried Tofu. It was fried crispy and with a firm yet light and fluffy inside. Totally different than any other tofu I’ve ever tasted. The peanut sauce was a rich pairing for it and was absolutely delicious. Tamako was Tamako, light and fluffy. Then came the Pad Thai and the rolls. The rolls, made fresh with quality ingredients you could taste. Complex yet subtle and definitely delicious! The Pad Thai was nothing short of fantastic! I asked for medium hot and they nailed it! It was lightly sweet and spicy and very tasty. Well balanced and not oily with good sized and plentiful shrimp.
The presentation on every dish was beautiful and colorful and artsy. The service was awesome even as we were some of the last customers to leave at closing and this made us put Ninja on our Portage Park Fave list.

We just moved from an area in the city with really great sushi nearby so we were hoping to find somewhere good in the new neighborhood! The Sunrise roll and Ninja roll were both delicious though we loved everything we tried. Very happy to have this place nearby.

I got their beef fried rice and the rice was soggy. The meat was hardly eatable. I also ordered their beef curry it was disgusting. I paid $22 for this terrible meal.

The vegetarian options were numerous and delicious! They're great with their fryer, I would absolutely recommend the Monster and the Ninja Sweet Potato Rolls, and the gyoza and egg rolls! GF options were good too, and even the water was served with a little taste of orange. Totally underrated gem, not sure why it was empty!

Ordered lunch through a delivery service. Reataurant canceled an item and didn't let me know. They wouldn't take my request to replace the item instead of refunding, before the order had even left the door. Sushi was mediocre, sashimi will probably make me sick, and bubble tea was watered down and horrible. Would not order again.

Their red curry is very good. Their pad Thai is not good. It has no flavor. I’ve had pad Thai twice from here, and I usually just get the red curry because the pad Thai is bad. Needs more flavor!!!

I never thought I would be that person but…. if I could give this restaurant zero stars I would. Unfortunately, Google doesn’t have that option. I was really looking forward to trying this place given its great reviews but sadly I won’t ever get to try it out. We waited 20+ minutes in line, and the lady at the front never bothered to acknowledge us. Instead, another customer walked in shortly after us and was immediately taken care of (he picked up an order). As we waited, I attempted to take the initiative to place my order by making eye contact with her, to no avail. Talk about awkward!!!The lady never even bothered to look at our direction! She did, however, successfully answer a phone call and took their order! I have to admit it did cross my mind to call in my order while standing in line RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER since that seemed to be the only way to successfully place an order. I’m not really sure what went wrong— whether she thought we were still contemplating the menu or maybe we seemed like we weren’t ready— but one thing is for sure I will not be returning nor recommending this restaurant. This whole encounter was just awkward and disappointing. I sincerely hope they improve their customer service before they lose more potential customers.

Horrible horrible service!! We waited in line for more than 20 minutes and the cashier completely ignored us. There was no one else in line other than us. We made eye contact with her and not once did she ask if we needed help. She was either just standing there or talking to her other coworkers. She even took a phone call and took care of another customer. Also, another customer walked in and she helped him right away. I have never experienced such horrible service in my life! Completely disappointed and angry! If I could give them 0 stars, I would! We ended up just leaving and going elsewhere.

On Sept 6th 2021 at 3:30 pm I found this place for sushi as ive been craving sushi for a while now. Being that its labor day, the usual sushi spot I go to was not open and I decided to give ninja sushi a try. I waited inside the place for 25 minutes waiting for the short lady to ask me what my order was. I wasnt on my phone and was trying to make eye contact with her to try and place my order. She avoided eye contact the whole time for some odd reason. I never gave her a reason for that type of treatment but I definitely will not be back. I didnt even place my order, I just walked out. Really sad that a business would give a potential customer the cold shoulder as I just received. Sucks that I have to give a bad review as ive never tried the place but I would not like to go back to a place that treat their customers like that.

The recipes are different that other sushi restaurants. We ordered the tuna poke bowl which usually has rice on the bottom but this did not. The caterpillar was way to spicy and the fried rice was bland.
