On a whim we came here for lunch and it did not disappoint. We had the seaweed salad, sauteed broccoli entree and 3 maki; salmon skin, shrimp tempura & the garden. Everything was fresh, delicious and timely with friendly service. The salmon skin was particularly good-- crispy, almost like bacon. The broccoli was cooked in a wok and had a great flavor, almost like grilled food. Some of the best maki I've had in a while. Lifted my spirits. I would definitely drive in from the city again just to have lunch.

I have been several times and every time we get food here it's great. The staff is super friendly, super attentive and fast. The restaurant is not big but it packs a good punch in flavor and quality. I will definitely be back to try more stuff.

My husband and I have had plenty of sushi and when I tell you this is the BEST sushi we have ever had, it says allot considering all the place we have gone too. The most phenomenal Thia food on da planet! There is no need to try anything else. This place had us mesmerized and at awe with the flavor and presentation. It was so good I took the leftover juice from the ramen home and added some noodles and revived it 😂

It’s hard to find authentic Thai food flavors around here, but luckily I tried this place (got their red curry) and it was delicious! Definitely recommend this place! Will be back to try their other Thai dishes!

This place is our go-to order out in the neighborhood. Always delicious. We order the Thai dishes and sushi, Pad Thai and the Futo Maki are our go-tos. Normally Thai and Sushi can be a red flag.. not here! The staff is so helpful and for sit down it’s a nice cute lighting ( not super bright overhead lights) for a nice date that won’t break the bank.

I came during a busy time so the service took a while, and the restaurant is a little small so it feels tight when packed. Other than this, the food is top notch.

I’ve been here so many times, I literally thought to myself I have to review. This place is so so good. My go-to spot now. I do business lunches here, my husband and I go on dates here, I order in from here. Everything is good, all appetizers, sushi, ramen, pad Thai, fried rices. Literally ALWAYS so good. My biggest problem is I live less than five minutes from here and my wallet knows it.

Maki rolls, appetizers and salmon bento box taste good but the servings are small considering the price. The restaurant is small inside (former Subway sandwich shop) and can feel cramped when busy and dining. Service is great and attentive. Kaze is convenient when craving Japanese!

I ordered some time ago and didn't care for the food at all. Tried it again last night and know it is not for me.
Got the veggie spring rolls, and while crisp, was mush inside. Mush is fine if there is flavour. These tasted like nothing.
Got the futo maki roll as well. Again, no flavour. Also ordered the basil entree. Once more, no flavour and also no spice.

Small place but very busy with dining in and take out customers. Found myself checking out dishes of other customer's dishes and takeouts. Nice selection of sushi, nigiri, sashimi, plates, or combo dishes. Definitely will satisfy your sushi craving. Service fast and quick with removing empty plates & etc. Reviewed 8-5-24.

Love this place! They have wonderful authentic Thai and Japanese, my go to is the salmon teriyaki. The chicken satay is also tasty! The sushi is good but not the best, some of their other menu items not Thai or Japanese are slightly off but still good. Definitely a great neighbor addition

Absolutely loved dining here. The lunch special is an excellent value and you can tell much love and care goes into the preparation. The soup, salad, fried tofu, and my sushi were all wonderful. Topped it off with a Thai iced coffee and it was the most perfect lunch. This is a “hidden gem” for sure!

I had just landed at Ohare Airport and wanted something different with variety to eat. I instantly noticed the staff's professionalism, customer service, and hospitality when we arrived.

They had an extensive menu with great food options. I had some fried tempura rolls with shrimp pad thai, and it was delicious. It was made fresh to order, and I received it quickly.

The portion size was not huge, but it was the standard size, in my opinion. The prices were very reasonable for excellent quality, and they even offered BYOB. I would recommend anyone looking for great thai food, quaint environment, and a casual vibe to visit this charming establishment.

We just landed at ORD and had a taste for Thai. Kaze had the highest ratings in the area. We were absolutely impressed! We tried shrimp rolls, dumplings, Japanese chicken, sushi, and Pad Thai. Everything was amazing. We couldn’t drop our forks. We will definitely be back!

They were able to accommodate a small party of 10. We ordered a bunch of different things: takoyaki were exceptional - perfectly cooked and more than 1 piece of octopus. We had sushi, ramen, sashimi, poke bowl, tempura and it was all Amazing!! They also accommodated my SIL who is GF. Service was good as well. There was never a long wait for our order. Plus they have a parking lot. The only bad thing is we live in Wisconsin.

Haven't tried the Thai but the sushi is amazing and fresh. Also love their crab Rangoon.

Welcoming service via phone and upon pickup. Well priced for what you get in quality and size. Ordered red machine and fire trio (& fried gyoza & chicken satay not pictured). Sushi we chose had good flavor but the red machine was soggy and the fire trio was huge and too fried (thick) on the outside. We did to go so obviously, eating onsite may have been much tastier. Still good for well priced sushi to go. Will definitely try them again with another sushi option.

Food was great considering we decided to do takeout. They overcooked the chicken for the chicken satay and the sushi rolls got soggy but the food was good overall.

My friend and I dined here two nights ago.and we loved it! They have the best and most unique Chicken Satay. The Crab Rangoon was excellent, very crispy with a soft center, Avocado Roll was the best vegan roll I ever had, California roll was great. The only thing that didn't knock my socks off was the fried scallops appetizer. They were good ,?but kind of bland. It was a very nondescript dipping sauce, maybe mustard and mayo. A zesty or fiery sauce would have been perfect. My friend had the Pad Thai with Chicken for his entree. I didn't have an entree, and I'm glad I didn't because I was totally satiated after my appetizers. Anything more would have been gluttony! Service was excellent, two pleasant, prompt, and efficient servers working in tandem. Food was made promptly and served piping hot. Everything was 5 stars, and I'm eager to return with a big appetite again so I can try more dishes.

The food is delicious, but for the price the portions are just too small. The sushi is fine but overpriced, the pad Thai and crab rangoons are delicious. The soup didn’t come with any rice, so that was a bummer. Overall very tasty but would’ve like to see the portions compete with other restaurants in the area.

Best sushi I ever had! Everything is just delicious, our favorite rolls are: “Monster” “Don’t make me cry” and “Dragon” good prices, staff is so friendly and kind, it’s BYOB… it’s just perfect. We recently moved to Lincoln Square but we come back to Kaze Sushi every chance we have. We just love it 🫶🏻

They were more concerned with take out orders than servicing the sitting customers. If you do come here, a weekday lunch would be the best option.

Driven past this place and never took it seriously. Little did I know it’s some of the best sushi in the city and especially for the prices! Lunch special is insane and the Maki are incredible. Sushi in a strip mall can seem off putting from the outside but this place is amazing and the service is great as well.

The food was amazing! It's a hidden gem. We order the Godzilla, Rainbow, Teek and Spicy tuna. Everything super fresh and really good and the service was fast! I saw a lot of ppl ordering out ! Totally recommended it!

I really didn’t want to give this 2 stars but I had to , first off the atmosphere and service were excellent. Personally, the appetizers and others tasted much better than their sushi. The sushi was good nonetheless. We ordered Takoyaki, crab rangoon, and crispy tofu. The sushi was spicy salmon, spicy tuna I believe, Philly and the last one I can’t remember. Nothing special about the sushi but they were not bad (probably won’t order again). This place is BYOB. Good to know! Because my girlfriend and I were stuffed, and underwhelmed by the sushi I offered her the last crispy tofu to end it off on a good night. I wish I hadn’t done that. Her face froze and she slowly pulled out a long straight black hair that appeared to be inside the tofu or somehow cooked on it. Neither of us has long straight black hair. I took a look at the chefs and I have a suspicion of which one the hair came from. We were disgusted , almost done eating and just wanted to go. We declined getting boxes because I couldn’t trust the food anymore. It really is a shame. Test your luck, maybe your experience will be better than mine.

Did not disappoint! Great place to eat locally. It is a small but cozy space, great to eat with others. Portions are nice and I especially enjoyed the Don’t Make Me Cry maki as well as the Thai Ice Tea. There was not a long wait either and the staff were very friendly. Would reccomend!

I decided to check this place based on the stellar ratings. Well, while it's not a terrible place, it's far from perfect. The restaurant is very small, hard to get to and from the table. The server was nice and attentive. The food was not bad, in fact the sushi rolls were quite large. However, they put sweet sauce on all the rolls, and even the soy sauce and ginger couldn't counteract the sweetness. I think their target customers are takeout ones

THIS is the place to get sushi anywhere on the northwest or west sides. Ever since my wife and I moved to Oak Park two years ago, we’ve been looking for a place that’s low on the “Philly roll index.” That’s when the cost of the roll is low proportionate to the high amount of cream cheese and salmon. That’s how we know it’s a sushi place we can order from impulsively on a weeknight and feel satisfied.

So, after exhausting every sushi place within a 20 minute radius of home, we ventured here. The other places have a fine vibe, and their signature rolls are good, but they’re always too formal and way too expensive. This is the place for casual sushi, while also having AMAZING signature rolls that would not be out of place at a bougier spot.

A tiny tiny place with everything to offer no matter what you're craving - sushi or thai food - great selection of ramen, fried rice, noodles, even bubble tea, I mean!
