Low-key, traditionally decorated Thai eatery offering spiced-to-order noodles, curries & stir-fries.
Honestly we used to like going here but the last few times have not been a good and off-putting experiences to the point we probably won't be back. The latest time was our take-out order. Today we ordered chicken fried rice which states it has meat, egg, carrots, peas, onions, and cilantro. We only marked no carrots. We were glad we opened it in the car before we got far because it looked like just rice and chicken. This wouldn't have been a problem if the staff was friendly or helpful in correcting it. Instead they were unhelpful and didn't take any ownership to apologize or want to correct it. Instead I was told by a younger lady in the back in monotone- "they were out of peas and carrots and if I look closely I can see onion" and "They never add cilantro on their dishes" Okay all that would be fine if you didn't advertise those toppings on your dish. People should know before paying for an order what's on their dish no? and if half the things described don't actually come on it they should know before paying for it. So not worth the money, hassle, or rude service. Too many other quality places to choose to eat from and also with this economy more aware where to spend your money and not waste it.
Food was good. We came at dinner time on a weekday. They were not very busy. We were seated immediately. Waitress was very nice and quick to bring out drinks/take order. The medium spiciness was hot and an addicting type of spice. Challenge anyone to an "authentic" level of spice, but i think if I need id be drinking more fluids than eating!
The food here puts them up in the top three Thai restaurants currently in the Boise area by my opinion only. Their service is also top notch as well as the atmosphere inside and outside. Their food even being more expensive then some of the other top notch Thai restaurants means they are with in there price point for there quality.
My husband found this place as it is near his work. It is amazing! We love coming here. Great atmosphere and decor. Also wonderful service. My favorite is the yellow curry. It’s nice that you are able to request the level of spice if you aren’t up for super spicy. My husband orders spicy noodles with chicken. We are big fans of this place and recommend it to all our friends!
Pad Thai House has been my go-to Thai spot for over fifteen years, and they never disappoint! The quality and flavors have remained consistently outstanding, which is rare to find. Their fresh rolls are always crisp, refreshing, and packed with flavor, making for the perfect starter. But it’s their panang curry that keeps me coming back. Rich, creamy, and with the perfect balance of spices, it’s hands-down the best I’ve had in Boise. The warm and friendly atmosphere is just the cherry on top of an excellent dining experience. If you’re looking for authentic Thai food that’s reliable every single time, Pad Thai House is where it’s at!
A friendly staff, and amazing food. Ask about their green papaya salad and the honey duck curry.
Pad Thai and yellow curry are excellent.

Easy, quick service, food was good - enjoyed it
Excellent food and service 🤗
The experience was new but very enjoyable. The food tasted amazing and fresh, I wanted to keep eating!
Delicious food, mindful and happy service, great dining experience. 10 out of 10 recommend.
Good authentic food reasonable prices
This review is based upon 3 visits within the last year. Service is tremendously slow, missing items from orders, extra fees added to a group of 6 or more and it’s apparent we aren’t the only ones! Every visit we see somebody trying to flag down a worker for simple items. Boxes, the check, soy sauce, waters, silverware…they just aren’t attentive or are far too overworked! I can see why they force to add the 20% gratuity because they would get very low tips on their own given the noticeably bad service. The taste of the food is great. Such a shame we avoid this place due to consistently bad customer care.
If you’re craving an authentic Thai green curry, Pad thai house should be at the top of your list. From the moment the dish arrived at the table, I could tell that this was a standout. The rich, aromatic scent of freshly prepared curry immediately made my mouth water.
What really sets this green curry apart is the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients. The green curry paste was vibrant and full of depth, with just the right amount of heat and a perfect balance of herbs, spices, and coconut milk. The flavors were bold and complex, with a creamy richness that didn’t feel heavy, just satisfying.
What truly impressed me was the balance between the heat of the curry and the creaminess of the coconut milk. It wasn’t overly spicy, but the heat built slowly, allowing the other flavors to shine through. The dish was served with a side of fluffy jasmine rice, which complemented the curry perfectly, helping to mellow out the heat.
As I have tried other places around the valley, overall, Pad thai house is at the top of my list as this place offers a truly authentic Thai green curry made with fresh ingredients that makes all the difference. It’s flavorful, comforting, and absolutely worth trying if you're a fan of Thai cuisine. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

This place is always packed during lunch. The Pad Thai is always my go-to. The Spring Rolls and Crab Rangoon are divine! Great servers and atmosphere. Will come back soon.
Awesome food, great service. The owner is so welcoming and made me feel like a member of the family!
One of my favorite places to eat, the food is excellent.
Service and food were equally amazing
Fantastic, fresh, consistent Thai food.
Great authentic thai food!!!!
Been many times, never left disappointed!
Super awesome food, super spectacular crew, and really chill atmosphere, highly recommend!
Had a great lunch menu and it was cheap and yummy!
Great food, friendly staff, yummy food! Definitely adding it to the list of favorite Thai food.
Delicious food and very popular!
Yummy food with lots of flavor. Friendly staff. I will be back for sure.
Excellent experience. A taste of Thailands cuisine served by native northern Thai (Lanna) servers.
Probably won't go back, it wasn't bad just not among the better places. However the atmosphere is good
Good food and very pretty place. The atmosphere is great and the service is quick and the people are lovely.
What happened? Your ultra watered down Green curry, less than ordinary Kung pao chicken and and chicken less Tom Kha is totally out of the ordinary… So very disappointed !
Plenty of other Thai places with this mediocre food. So sad to see this happen.
I love this place- the food, atmosphere, and service is all great! Best Thai Tea around, delicious meals and options, and great location. Highly recommend ☺️

This place is trash
The food was OK.
Service was sub-par.. food was brought to the table for everyone except my daughter.. she had to wait another 10 minutes for hers to arrive.
Awesome lunch menu and service was great
Prompt, friendly service and good food!!

This was a great experience, there was a 5-10 minute wait (extremely fast), multiple check ins from the waiter, and endless drinks. We went a little bit earlier though around 5 ish so it might be a different experience when it is busy. The food was delicious and they give you a good amount of food. I will definitely go again!
Best green curry in town!!
I highly recommend the cha yor appetizer.
Singha beer!!!!
We got take out missed an item to our order but this place was great. My son's a picky eater but he finished it off fast. Large portion size. Enough to feed 2 people for two meals. Looking forward to coming again.
Food was excellent. Service was top notch
Really good food. The lettuce wraps were awesome and the entries were too. Definitely a new regular place to visit.
Our group of 8 dined at this restaurant, and while the food was decent, the service was nothing special. What bothered me was the mandatory 20% service charge, which is typically justified by exceptional service. However, in this case, the dining experience was just basic—taking orders and serving food—without any extra attention or care for our large group. I understand that larger parties may require more attention, but the service we received didn't warrant a 20% tip, leaving me disappointed with the restaurant's policy.

A slightly different take on Pad Thai than I am used to. The food is great with strong characteristics that embody traditional Thai food. The atmosphere is a calm, encouraging a quiet environment and the service is very good. Be sure to try the iced coffee, it's phenomenal!
Delicious with a lot of choices
We celebrated my daughters birthday there and we had a wonderful time
The waitress was so nice and very efficient.
Amazing food, but trying to place a pick up order is horrible. I will call and get the busy signal 10 minutes before i give up and go somewhere else. I just can't go there to place a to go order and wait 30 min for it.
Updated: i haven't had an issue with them picking up the phone in a long time. Always amazing food! Seriously the best pad thai in the Valley
Great Thai
We had a wonderful dinner there. I had enough left to take home and have a second meal. I was surprised at how really tasty my food was . I will eat there again soon!
Busy day, but service was slower than expected. Parking difficulties with ovecrowing. Guess the food is good!
The food is really delicious. Kids enjoyed food, and we enjoyed spicy food.
This place is wonderful. The food is absolutely baller every time I go in, and the staff is always friendly. Service is generally really quick, and the spice level is great—which is rare in Idaho.
I wanted it to be really good, but it was pretty ordinary. First time visiting, ordered the signature dish, and it was just ok, no wow factor. Probably won't return.
Place is nice, food is a little dry
Best place in Idaho got to try it
The food does taste good and the service is always excellent. For some reason the meat in every dish over the past couple of years is "dry" and chewy. Im so used to tender and succulent beef and chicken that it just kills it for me. Either cheap cuts or very overcooked or both. The flavors and variety are great...they are so close to being a great restaurant if they would just up the game a bit.
Been here many times, and usually enjoy the food. Today I got the Tom Kar Gai soup. It was awful. Tasted like they just boiled chicken and mushrooms in water.
one of the best restaurants in the valley
Other than them removing #45 from their menu, it's pretty good food. They do focus a lot more on takeout than dine in, it seems. Still want #45 back.
This is our absolute favorite Thai place in the valley, all around good food, good service, and it's clean and cared for.
We ordered 2 Ramen and they literally had no flavor and they served us cold and the small sushi
Plenty of Thai places around, this one isn't at the top of my list. Thai tea was okay but small for the price. General's chicken wasn't the best and seemed more store bought than authentic. I'd honestly prefer the store bought frozen section over what I had here.
Today I ordered the bird's nest with fried tofu. I appreciated the freshness of all the mixed veggies that came with it! They were perfectly cooked and had a get bite to it. You get so many veggies in this dish, they didn't hold back. I did order extra sauce since the "nest" is dried noodles. The noodles soaked up all that sauce making them savory and chewy, so good! The tofu was a little chewy but still good. The portion size was great! I'll have enough for dinner tonight.
This place is my favorite. Pad Thai House consistently has the best of every dish they make. It's impossible to go wrong when ordering here. Their custom spicy level (1-40) is only part of what keeps me coming back waaaaay too often. I live an hour away, and they know me here. It's fair to say that I might be addicted. Seriously, if you like a certain dish but aren't certain if they make it well here, rest assured, it'll most likely be the best version you've ever had. But please, don't visit too often. I need a seat, too.
Love this food.
Go eat here!
First time eating there.
Great choices and variety of foods. Friendly and courteous staff. Food was tasty and good.
We will definitely be back.
I've been going here for a couple of years now. Having tried a several Boise area Thai restaurants, this is one of the best. The food is authentic and very good, portions are generous. Service is excellent and fast. Atmosphere is nice by not overbearing. Definitely worth seeking out!! They also have good take out service.
This is a good place to go for a work lunch or early dinner. Not an exciting place but the food is good and the service is always great. I think the people are the best asset of the restaurant.
This place has the BEST lettuce wraps. Red curry chicken and pad Thai are perfect so I rarely order anything else but all the dishes look great. So excited they added online ordering because it was always hard to get through on the phone.
Best thai food. We know we have been 2 Thailand X 2
Food was good but WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!!!
My go to lunch spot. Spicy noodles with chicken, medium spicy please.
Best egg rolls I have ever had. And I hear their pad Thai is to die for, but I always order their number 55, because it's so good, I can't talk myself out of it every time. And service is always fast and friendly
Food is good however service is terrible. Take Out is a game of cat and mouse to see if you can get someone to answer. Once they answer the phone plan on being on hold for at least 5 minutes. Service in the restaurant is lacking to say the least No attention to details many times you have to wave down a waiter/waitress.
Always good!
Waited and waited. Had the server walk by more than once, caught her eye, she did nothing. Totally ignored us. Goodbye, won't be back, and will tell everyone I know to avoid this place.
The best Thai food in Boise.
Yum, Yum, Yum
The most delicious asian food in the valley!
Always good. Even when you try something new.
The best Thai food I have ever had- so fresh and the perfect flavor combinations!
Food was good. But had to wait about 30 minutes for it, had to ask for water and order food, after no one check on us for 15 minutes
Love their spicy noodles
One of my favorite places.
This is the best restaurant food we have had in almost 4 years. We tried the Pad Thai with chicken and red curry. We also had the fried coconut ice cream and just regular coconut ice cream. Both were delicious!! The server was great as well. Highly recommended.
I had the curry and it was great. Wife loved her entree, as well, but I can't remember what it was!
They are getting worst.
Best curry EVAR
Great family place. Food is good. Service is great.
One of my favorite restaurants in the whole world! Always excited to make a trip to Boise FOR this place. Pad Thai, Tom Yum & Green Papaya Salad are my go-tos!
Very good. Very flavorful. We all had the Pad Thai. You can order it authentic, which is the maximum spice or medium or light in regards to heat/spiciness. My daughter and her partner had authentic heat! Whoa, it's very spicy, in my opinion. I had medium spice, and it was very flavorful without being too hot. I can't wait to go back.
Tasty, authentic Thai cuisine... Nice Thai artwork, wood carvings and woodwork throughout. Comfortable vibe, good lighting and reasonable prices.
Delicious pad thai, highly recommend.
The very best hand down. Food is ALWAYS fresh and never greasy. I've been a few times and can't wait to go back.
Highly recommend! Absolutely delicious food. They're knowledgeable about vegan food and can make most of their dishes vegan. Service has always been great too.
Best Thai food in the Valley. Hits the spot EVERY single time :)
Phenomenal!! My husband got the Pad Prik Talay Curry and I had the honey roastednhald duck. The food was Phenomenal!!!! Everything was BEAUTIFULLY cooked! The duck was so tender and full of flavor! My husband dish was creamy, the squid had a wonderful texture, Everything was out of this world tasteful. We couldn't help but get dessert as well. We had the deep fried coconut ice cream....😍 It was like a pastry with ice cream. It also had fresh coconut in the ice cream. Shout out to our server JOSH. He gave fabulous service!! Asked the right questions, very attentive, sweet smile, friendly personality! My husband and I plan on making this place a frequent spot. Thank you Josh, for your great service! We loved the atmosphere and the food was insanely good!!
The front desk person that answers the phone, it’s a male and you can’t understand anything he is saying. He sounds like he’s half asleep and not paying attention at all. This is the 3rd occasion that this has happened and it’s very frustrating. Management needs to get on top of this.
I had the #43 and it had a lot of flavor. The food is always good here.
Great place for lunch
The food is outstanding. The atmosphere at the former location was more cozy.
I went to eat here at exactly 8:29, a worker was locking the door, I asked to be let in, she stated they were closed, I told her I thought they were open until 9pm. She says, "No, 8:30pm". On Google maps, it states they are open until 9pm... sharing this so you are aware that they close earlier than Google has posted.
Service was great. Meal was delicious. It was a recommendation from the waitress. It was essentially drunken noodles but had a different name. My only complaint was that the chicken portions were small; not a lot of protein with the dish.
I have been a fan of this place for awhile.Today I had to wait a bit but absolutely wasn’t an issue at all what was is I forgot my phone lol but staff amazing offered me complimentary jasmine tea while I waited, loved this although I would have but food was done even sooner than promised!!!!
Have been going to this place for years! I remember when their first location was just a little joint and now it’s big and successful! I’ve tried just about everything on the menu and the food is absolutely to die for! Have showed some family and friends this place and they love it just as much as I do!
Hits the spot every time!
Service is great and the waitress is a doll!
They were soo kind and the food was delicious. We had soup and fried rice. Yum
This was the first visit here. Thanks to all who did previous ratings to draw me in.
Very nice place, well decorated, clean bathroom, comfortable seating. We went in at about 2:00PM and there were only a few other peeps in the place.
We ordered off the lunch menu and the meals were very good sized for $9.95. I had the Pad Prik King at the 3 pepper Hot level. I should have opted for 4, but I wasn't sure how hot it was going to be. I am sure they have pepper sauce, but I didn't ask for it.
The dish had plenty of pork and veggies, and the fried rice was on the plate. Be warned that there is a firm leaf used as a spice and it isn't to be eaten. I did taste it and it had a very strong flavor, but again, it's too tough to chew up. The rice was cooked perfectly.
We also had the Fresh Rolls which come with a little sauce that really opens up the flavor of the rolls.
Our server did a fine job. We will be back.
One of the best Thai restaurants in the valley. Service was very good and the dishes were absolutely delicious!! I ordered the Pad Prik King and my wife got the Pad Kao. Both had such good flavors and spices in them. We're both vegan, so it was awesome to have a tasty plant-based option. The portion sizes were also really big, I was stuffed after eating all of mine. Can't recommend enough!
Pad thai was good, medium spice was just enough kick. Thai egg rolls were a bit greasy, but still tasty. Excellent service
The food is amazing! My favorite dish is the chicken pad thai. Always very clean and the waitstaff is very friendly and helpful.
Wonderful updated location and consistently my favorite Thai place in Boise. Everything I've had on the menu is delightful, the food is always fast, and it's as spicy or unspicy as you want.
It shows open in Google, but it is actually closed. It's unclear why.
OMG the Duck curry is the absolute BEST! The mandarin spicy chicken rocks too!
Pad Thai is always amazing! Best Thai food in Idaho!
I am very disappointed in our experience here. I asked if I could get the spring rolls with no shrimp as I am unable to have breaded shrimp and I was told No. I said "so you are unwilling to accommodate my needs" and she said we are not willing to accommodate. So 🤷🏼♀️
I love this place. The yellow curry fried rice is amazing!
I've taken my wife here a few times. Good food, reasonable prices. I love Pad Thai, and that's what I get every time. My wife likes to vary what she gets.
We had spring roll appetizers which were tasty. Food presentation was very nice.
Love that the overhead music is almost non-existent. When I dine out I don't like to have to shout to have a conversation. This is the place for me! We had a pleasant conversation while dining. Highly recommend!
Pad see ew is my favorite and I always get it when I come here and don't forget the Thai tea delicious best Thai food in the treasure valley
Great food but prices have gone up over 50%
Best Pad Thai in town
I have been a fairly frequent customer. My experience has always been good. However, I had a poor experience this time around.
On this particular occasion, I came in the afternoon. I ordered the Thai Spicy Fried Rice (Protein - Fried Tofu). The server bought my food around 25 minutes after my order. I began eating. After my first 4-5 morsels, I was shocked to find a piece of beef. It was embedded within the fried rice - So, I could not discover it until I started to eat.
I immediately notified my server. Simply took my plate away. I assumed that she will redo the dish. However, there was no communication from her. After 10 mins she did come back with the meal. However, it did not taste very good. I just could not finish leaving more than 50% of the portion.
After a few minutes, I requested her to bring my check. I completed my payment and left.
Here are my concerns -
1. No apology when I reported the problem (beef in my vegetarian order)
2. No communication
3. The redone meal was not good at all
