My wife had the Pad Thai noodles; I had the yellow curry. The noodles could send a diabetic into hyperglycemia, they were so sweet. Be Thai shares this sin with other Thai restaurants in Boise. Shame on y'all.

The Yellow Curry: The chicken was overcooked, making it dry and tough. There were way too many vegetables, which crowded out the excellent soup. Need more soup, less veggies. While the curry tasted more or less "authentic," it lacked most of the ingredients often found in this dish.

If you want to taste the Gold Standard in authentic Thai cuisine, there is a small place across from Walmart on 12th Street in Nampa.

Diner Review №5

Absolutely amazing food, I’m so glad we stopped in!

Best Pad Thai

Diner Review №7

WOW! It's the real deal!

Diner Review №8

The food wasn't very good, but to be honest it wasn't bad either. It was just... Meh... Which isn't really a bad thing, until you get to the price. There are numerous better things for the same cost or less.

Diner Review №9

Fantastic Gluten Free chicken fried rice!! So happy I found this place!! The portions size is good for the price!!

Diner Review №10

Low-key Thai place with great service and good food. We had duck, red curry, green curry, and spring rolls. All our food was flavorful and perfectly plated. We ate at lunch on a weekday with group of five and we're seated right away.

Diner Review №11

Great food and service. We will be back!!

Diner Review №12

Great service and delicious food at an affordable price.

Diner Review №15

Delicious food here😋

Diner Review №16

I want to give a 6 star for the services, very nice.

Diner Review №17

We stopped here for dinner after catching a movie across the way. We love Thai food and this place didn't disappoint. The super friendly staff were very knowledgeable about the vegan options. I had the Ginger Lover rice dish 👌.

Diner Review №18

The service was great super nice people, however the food at best was okay. Food was a bit bland the flavors were there but the chicken was dry and the noodles were missing taste. I would be willing to give them a second chance in the future.

Diner Review №19

We just love coming here! The service is always on point and the food is consistently great! Try their fresh rolls — they’re full of veggies and the peanut sauce is AMAZING!

Diner Review №20

Great service and great food! Their lunch special is an awesome deal

Diner Review №21

Stopped here recently with my wife and had a positive experience. Waitress was kind, prompt and knowledgeable on the menu. Food came out in a timely manner and was hot. Food tasted great. Prices in line with other Thai restaurants we've been to. Would definitely stop here again.

Diner Review №22

DELICIOUS! I had the Cashew nut chicken and fried rice. The fried rice reminds me of the fried rice I would get 40 years ago when I was growing up, I can’t say enough about how good it is. The next day it tasted just as good, as did the chicken. It has become a definite go to restaurant for me.

Diner Review №23

I absolutely love this place. The food is spectacular, and the mango sticky rice is life changing. The owner is one of the kindest human beings I’ve had the privilege of meeting and I love that she shares her culture in Boise!!

Diner Review №24

Diner Review №25

Service was quick and very friendly the whole time, food was great. Nice sized portions and a large menu with a lot of choices.

Diner Review №26

I’ve been to Thailand and this food is VERY authentic and SO delicious!! The service is really good, too. Get the papaya salad and the - Khao Soi you’ll thank me. Please go and review it so this new restaurant stays open!

Diner Review №27

Very delicious and reasonably priced. We ordered papaya salad, panang curry and khao soi. Everything was spot on, especially the khao soi which was hands down the best we've had outside Thailand. Service was excellent as well. We'll be back!

Diner Review №28

Amazing service and really great food. This is the best Thai food I’ve ever had in Boise. Highly recommended!

Diner Review №29

The team working the front end is very friendly and welcoming, I highly suggest the Choochee Duck.

I grew up eating all sorts of southeast Asian food, and for me, this is definitely set to be my new place here in Boise when I want Thai curry.

Also, make sure to try their Thai iced coffee and mango sticky rice, they are incredible.

Highly recommended.

Diner Review №30

I love this place! I found this restaurant online kind of by accident, and then it did take me a WHILE to figure out how to get to it (the drive from the nearby movie theater parking lot to this restaurant itself is quite confusing), but man oh man is it worth it! The food is SO good, the various teas and drinks are great, too, and the service is wonderful. The servers and the manager/owner were so welcoming each time I’ve been there, even though I arrived 20 minutes before closing one time and 35 mins before closing the other time, so I fully expected them to (politely) turn me away and tell me to come back earlier within their business hours next time. But they didn’t! They made the food so fast, it was delicious, and the atmosphere was comfortable and warm. I will definitely keep coming back here. I’ve already recommended this restaurant to all my family.

Diner Review №31

Great food, super clean and quick service. We had the lunch special. The prices were reasonable too. I think it was 11.99 for a small soup, small appetizer and the main course. We took half of the main course home.

Diner Review №32

best authentic thai food i’ve had in boise ☺️

Diner Review №33

Best yellow curry in Boise. Food is fantastic, fresh and perfectly spiced. You can’t beat the price of their lunch special! Crispy eggs rolls and a decent sized bowl of soup. Staff was super friendly. Will be my new go to lunch spot for sure!

Diner Review №34

Best Thai Food in Boise!! Our meal was incredible! Service was awesome! We will be back!

Diner Review №35

The most authentic Thai food locally available- with excellent service!

Diner Review №36

Outstanding, the best Thai food I've had in years. Very friendly and patient staff and fantastic price for a lunch special that comes with soup of the day I had tom kha pak and himmaparn. Bee is a very sweet lady.

Diner Review №37

Our food was fresh and delicious. Lunch special was a great price for a lot of food. The place was very clean, and we had really nice service!

Diner Review №38

We’ve been here twice, and both times we tried something we hadn’t tried before. And EVERYTHING was so so good! Highly recommend. Best Thai food in the valley, in my opinion. And they bring the food really quickly, which is great if you have a short amount of time between movies.

Diner Review №39

Diner Review №40

Good experience with to go order, although was surprised how thin the fresh rolls were with pricing at the teens. The noodles were good as well as the fried rice.

Diner Review №41

4 star due to environment,
Place was to hot.
Even the staff was struggling to keep cool.

I asked about it and was told the air conditioner was working.

I worry when the 100° come.

Diner Review №42

I've eaten here a couple of times and each time I've been blown away by how excellent the food is and how friendly the service is. This is hands down the best Thai restaurant I've ever been to. I cannot recommend it enough.

Diner Review №43

We did take out, so this rating is only for the food. Husband got the green curry with shrimp in the hottest heat (I think it’s called spicy) , and I got green curry with chicken in medium heat. It was spicy, but other than that, NO flavor. I am not sure I have ever had such tasteless chicken, esp in a curry dish. My husband said the same about the shrimp. No flavor, just spicy. Even the spicy was different than any Thai we have had—his just had A TON of red pepper flakes. Not actual flavor, if that makes sense. Veggies were good. Rice was in hard clumps

Diner Review №44

Be Thai is a casual restaurant located at the Boise Spectrum with table seating and take out. The staff is warm and friendly. Be Thai offers a variety of lunch specials, but I chose to order the Pad Thai with shrimp off the regular menu. I also tried the Lychee Iced Tea which I found sweet for my taste, but at the same time it was very refreshing. Halfway through the meal I realized I was missing the spice that gives Pad Thai the heat which I really enjoy. I didn’t even miss the spice at first because the Pad Thai was delicious. I asked the server about it for future reference and upon request they will bring a tray of spices to the table. I can’t wait to try them! Be Thai offers homemade coconut ice cream among their desserts that I really wanted to try but unfortunately I was too full!
The menu is available on their website. I definitely recommend Be Thai.

Diner Review №45

The restaurant is cool! The fried rice is off though. I had their Thai Fried Rice and their Pineapple Fried Rice.

It was some of the blandest and mushiest fried rice I’ve ever had. . . Their other dishes look good though? But fried rice should be the easy dish to make on their menu.

Proceed with caution. ⚠️

Diner Review №46

We love this place! The staff is so friendly and the food is not only so delicious but looks like art! Great atmosphere, tall windows, lots of natural light. We’ll definitely come back again.

Highly recommend!

Diner Review №47

We ate here last night and it was amazing. It was getting close to closing time, and the pub next door seemed kind of bothered about us wanting to order food so we went here. They were incredibly kind and provided excellent service and absolutely wonderful food. We were the only people there and they treated us so nice! Will be back for sure.

Diner Review №48

How does this have such a high rating?! This food does NOT taste like Thai food (pad Thai, ginger beef, spring rolls). Bland bland bland. If you’re looking for Thai food, skip this spot.

Diner Review №49

Quite little spot with amazing food and friendly service!! Would highly recommend!!

Diner Review №50

Good

Diner Review №51

Green curry was good and service was very friendly.

Diner Review №52

I was excited when I saw this new Thai place, and they didn't disappoint! I tried a noodle dish, yellow curry, and the Tom Yum soup. Everything was delicious! I like my food spicy, I got everything medium spicy and it was perfect. I look forward to trying their lunch specials, too.

Diner Review №53

Diner Review №54

Delicious, every dish we ordered was awesome. We will be back!

Diner Review №55

Great food! I had the drunken duck and I would order that again. Ladies were delightful and the place is super clean. Great atmosphere.

Diner Review №56

Staff/Service was great. Food tasted great. Will definitely go back again. Had the crab Rangoon, Thai iced coffee, Pad See Ew with Shrimp, and Yellow Curry with Shrimp. Mild spice.

Diner Review №57

This place is an absolute safety hazard! I ordered through uber eats and I cannot believe the quality of the food. My egg rolls were not only expired, the had the grossest spoiled taste I can’t get out of my mouth even after brushing my teeth. My Graw Prow chicken arrived completely raw. How are these people in business? I wouldn’t eat here even if the food was free.

Diner Review №58

Really great food and service. The mango sticky rice was excellent

Diner Review №59

Amazing! Would absolutely recommend :)

Diner Review №60

Diner Review №61

Good service, good food!

Diner Review №62

Great Thai food and good prices....and we are picky! :)

Diner Review №63

Great Thai food. Friendly fast service. Accommodating to food modifications like no egg in their noodle dishes.

Diner Review №64

One of my top five favorite Thai restaurants in the valley (we've tried all but one). Great food, large portions, and good service. Really enjoyed the Pad Pri King.

Diner Review №65

Good food great service and like the location too

Diner Review №66

Thai food is my favorite... and this was no disappointment. I had the Pad Thai, Chicken Satay.... both soo delicious. You couldn't ask for better service.

Diner Review №67

We tried Be Thai this week after a recommendation from a friend. The food and service was excellent! We ordered the crab rangoons, tom kha gai soup, pad thai, fried rice, and duck curry(recommend by our server).
As a self described thai food connoisseur the food was fantastic. the tom kha gai had such a fresh coconut flavor and a great spicy kick that balanced so well with the fish sauce and creamy coconut flavor. The crab rangoons were sweet and savory and light and delicate! The pad thai for
me personally was not my favorite dish but it was still delicious(i'm just not a pad thai fan) The best dish was the duck curry which i would never have ordered if our server didn't tell us to. Huge juicy pieces of duck with crispy skin on top of a bed of veggies and a tangy peanut and tomato based curry sauce that was thick. I could have drank that curry sauce.
The fried rice was very typical thai style with big chunks of tomato and cucumber with plenty of egg and chicken, loved it.

The thing I admired the most about all the food was that they are heavy handed with the protein! You definitely get your moneys worth with every dish.

I also ordered a Thai tea which I could tell
was freshly brewed as it was very strong and perfectly sweet.

My new favorite thai place. The decor is plain and simple and the vaulted ceilings create a pretty loud restaurant if you have loud talkers next to you which is why i only gave atmosphere 4 stars but that is not the restaurants fault.

Diner Review №68

The lady that served us was super nice. Pot stickers, crab Rangoon, and chicken wing appetizers were alright. I ordered the drunken duck and it and the rice that came with it were both inedible. Duck was way way over cooked to the point where the sauce couldn't even save it. My wife ordered the tom yum soup and it tasted like dish water. After we sent both of those back and decided to try the chicken satay, which came out under cooked. We asked for a to go box for it because they were staring at us and we didnt want to send anything else back. The rice was old and so cold it was coming apart in rock hard chunks. They took the duck and soup off the bill but were not apologetic at all. Maybe they were just having an off day but if this is the kind of food they serve on a regular basis I'm not sure how they have such a high rating with Google reviews. Would not recommend.

Diner Review №69

Service here was our favorite part. The chicken satay was cooked well and the peanut sauce that came with it was really good. The Pad Thai wasn't as good as some of the other nearby restaurants but we enjoyed the Red Curry with Chicken and Pineapple Fried Rice. They have Thai tea and Lychee Iced Tea here. I would come back to try other menu items.

Diner Review №70

We went there for dinner to try the new Thai place close to us. I figured it was the prior Chinese restaurant opened with new name & menu....WRONG. This is a new place, new owners (2 sisters) new menu. The cashew nut chicken was fantastic. They don't have fancy dishes which is fine because they do pile plenty of food on them. The Pad Thai & Chicken Satay were also great. So close to home, great food, large servings, friendly staff....we'll be back regularly.

Diner Review №71

Nice Thai option for the movies.
Recently opened and reviewed by the Statesman, it's a great option for tasty Thai before a movie.
Come for nice curry, sweet pad Thai, or other excellent dishes, and add a customary tea or other drink.
Friendly service, too!

Diner Review №72

The chicken pad thai is so good! Service was exceptional! The owner served us and was so kind! Highly recommend this place! Can’t wait to come back and try another menu item.

Diner Review №73

Fantastic. This thai food is on point. And it's beautiful. The creamy peanut sauce for the fresh spring rolls is delicious and pairs great with the sweet chili oil sauce. The pad thai and thai tea are flavorful and vibrant. Plus, there's mango sticky rice to die for. 😋

Diner Review №74

The restaurant is quite clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the quantities are probably sufficient for two people. I’m probably a bit critical on the food as I lived in Thailand for a few years. My first dish was the chicken larb. It had way too much liquid. Normally you scoop larb into lettuce cups. Well the lettuce was soaked and limp. I’d pass on the larb. Then I had green chicken curry. It was good and the quantity was quite large. It’s served with Jasmine rice. I found rice a bit too sticky and it didn’t have the mouth feel you expect from perfectly cooked Jasmine rice. it was good, but it could’ve been quite a bit better. There little things that are somewhat irritating, no napkins at the table, no fish sauce or peppers sauce. It may well be that you could ask for it and get it, but I didn’t and it wasn’t offered. The drink selections quite limited, iced teas and hot tea and the usual selection of sodas. If you want beer with your dinner, this isn’t the place for you. They don’t serve it.
To go to the restroom, you exit the restaurant and cross an open patio area and go down a long hall in another building. Not ideal, but probably nothing they have control over.

All in all, it was a pleasant experience, but I doubt I’ll go back there.

Diner Review №75

Wanted to try it out since it was new, so glad we did! Super fast and attentive service! So glad to have another awesome Thai option

Diner Review №76

Had pad thai and mama tom yum soup. Both were delicious, pad thai might be my favorite around boise. First time having tom yum soup but it was delicious.

Diner Review №77

Pad thai was delicious, maybe the best I have ever had. We were seated fast, service was great, food came out quickly. Lovely all around!

Diner Review №78

Amazing crispy vegetable’s and fresh flavor. Check out the mango sticky rice too. Yummy

Diner Review №79

This might be the BEST THAI in the Treasure Valley! The Panang and the Pad Kimoa are INCREDIBLE!!

Diner Review №80

the best thai food i have ever had. their lunch special is a sweet deal and if you choose their spicy option for their curry-it’s soooo spicy in the best way. highly recommend

Diner Review №81

Best Thai food I’ve had in awhile! Yeah, it’s really that good!

Diner Review №82

So far I have tried the Pad see ew and Pad Thai (with tofu and medium spice), and I have enjoyed them the best out of most the Thai places here. Some places in Boise, the flat noodles taste hard or the pad thai is too sweet and tangy. Some places don’t spice it enough even at the highest level (perhaps because people complain so I don’t blame them), but medium spice has a little kick. I do also love Mai Thai but they closed and only have take out from Meridian. The tofu is also preferable to me since they are small evenly fried cubes with the sauce throughly coated on it. I would say it’s comparable to some of my favorite places in Phoenix and California.

Diner Review №83

This new Thai spot in Boise is bomb! I was going to take a pic of the food but ate it all too quickly. The lunch special is a great value. The dining area has a lot of natural light and the staff are very friendly and attentive. 10/10!

Diner Review №84

My sister was in town and by mistake we ended up at Be Thai as we were searching for a quick lunch after visiting Birds of Prey. Unlike us, my sister often eats Thai, as her and her husband really enjoy it and have their favorite places in Arizona. My
husband, sis and I loved the food! So flavorful! More importantly my sis was super impressed and said it was up there with the best she's ever had. One of the owners took the time to chat with us and she was lovely. Please give this place a try, they deserve much, much success....they are doing it right!

Diner Review №85

Amazing great food

Diner Review №86

Loved the food, the lunch menu offered a variety of tasty foods and the soup of the day was delicious. Would come again!

Diner Review №87

Great little Thai spot. Was sad to see Guang Zhou go but glad this Thai place is good. Customer service was excellent and the mango sticky rice was amazing. Will definitely be back.

Diner Review №88

Pad Thai and Pad See Ew with tofu were absolutely excellent, best Thai food I've had in Boise

Diner Review №89

Great new addition to Boise’s thai scene. Will definitely be returning and ordering take-out in the future!

Diner Review №90

Diner Review №91

Passed through Boise on a work trip, incredible Thai spot. Had the coconut green curry with chicken. Ordered it spicy - if you like spicy food it was the perfect level of heat. Really fantastic meal.

Diner Review №92

This is very good Thai food! We find it hard to find Thai that is not bland; this all had wonderful flavor. The Yellow Curry ordered Spicy was perfect, the pad Thai and Pad Se Ew med spice was good for the kids. There is nothing worse than bad Thai food so I am so glad to find such a great place! We will be back.

Diner Review №93

I wish I could review the food. We stopped by about 3:30 last Wednesday to a ghost town- tables were empty and no employees to be seen. We could hear people talking in the kitchen, hung out at the front counter for at least 5 minutes and yelled hello several times but no one ever came out. Maybe the hours listed on google are wrong and they are closed between lunch and dinner? We gave up and went to Pad Thai House.

Diner Review №94

My companion and I had lunch here. They are newly opened so I expect them to improve in the future.

The restaurant is located in the spectrum movie center near Overland and Cole. The decor is not very warm. Cement floors and fairly stark ambience.

Service was very cordial. They are really aiming to please.

The lunch menu provides a cup of soup, an appetizer and a main course all for $11.99. That's a great deal.

I had the yellow curry with tofu and chose the vegetarian spring roll appetizer. These all come on the same plate with white rice. My companion chose the Himaparn with chicken and the other appetizer choice, potsticker.

On this day the meals were accompanied by a cup of Tom Kha soup. The other possibility is Tom Yum soup, depending on the day. The soup broth was very salty but the bowl was filled with tofu, carrots, onions and celery. Very hearty and tasty.

My yellow curry was thin but tasty. The potatoes were slightly undercooked but there were lots of carrots and tofu as well. The vegetarian pot sticker was crisp and had a wonderful assortment of fillings. It was really tasty.

My wife's entree was very, very good. It was very subtly flavored with an undertone of chili that just hit the nose. Really nice. And the pot stickers were very crispy and also tasty.

Lunch here is a great deal and the food is pretty good. As I said earlier, I expect that the food will improve with time.

Diner Review №95

Very sterile feeling. Better Thai food down the street. Food was bland, too big of chunks of tomato and chicken bites. Duck was greasy and some bites too grisly to chew. Pleasant server.

Diner Review №96

Diner Review №97

Be Thai was absolutely AMAZING. They put most other Thai restaurants in the Valley to shame. We got the Pad See Ew and the Drunken Fried Rice and both were great. They also give you dried chili's, garlic chili crisp, and some of the best pickled jalapeño's i've ever had! Can't recommend enough! Service was a little bit slow but I am cutting them some slack since it was only the two of them on their opening night. I forgot to take a picture until after we had eaten so next time we go i'll be sure to get some pictures!

Diner Review №98

The food was so so good! We got the Pad see ew and drunken fried rice both with pork. It came with pickled jalapeños and garlic chili crisp on the side. The service was a little slow, but that is to be expected since we went opening day. We will definitely be coming back. Overall highly highly recommend!!

Diner Review №99

Hands down the best Thai food I have ever had. Everything was so fresh and flavorful and the service from the waitress / owners was great. The food truly resembles a quality family recipe and I will continue to stop by here whenever I have a Thai Cuisine craving.

Diner Review №100

Stopped by for the grand opening. Ordered chicken wings, pad Thai, shrimp papaya salad, green chicken curry and Be Thai Bbq chicken plate. Enjoyed all of the food! Spicy wasn’t too spicy, nice flavor. Will be back for sure!

Diner Review №101

Great Thai food for reasonable prices. Lunch specials are worth it with plenty of food. Try the red curry!
