Secrets Out!
Best Thai on Island
No one comes close. Yes I have been to Thailand, I'd say 95% of the Thai food on island is the American Thai, toned downed, cookie cutter vetsions cause most peeps cant handle the real stuff! Nuis stays true and that's why the food taste and looks different than most.
Nui is very accomadating and work with what you want, food doesnt taste greasy like most, and all the dishes are complimented with a healthy serving of good for you veggies! For those that need more meat, the Hot Wings are 🔥.
The view outside is breathtaking, you'll have to come and see for yourself!
Nice little spot to grab Thai food if you're in the area. You can either eat inside or outside. I got the Padh Thai which I found to be a great deal for the amount served. I also had one of the spring rolls after slittingthe order with a friend. This is a really close place to the Ko Hana distillery, which makes it a solid lunch option after some rum tasting. The view of Honolulu is pretty legit too.
Hands down the best food that we have eaten in Oahu. I almost turned around and tried something else, but I'm so glad that I didn't. We paid $28 for three entrees that our young family of five could not even finish. (Even though we wanted to!) If I would have paid double I would have been totally thrilled. Food on Oahu can be pricey, so we couldn't believe that we ate the best quality food for the cheapest price yet. Fresh, insanely delicious, food. I would eat here every day. A little extra drive from mainstream North Shore eats, but you will be glad you went. The pad thai and the curry were amazing. The fried rice was filled with fresh vegetables and cooked to perfection. There should be a line down the street.
We finally had a chance to try this place after driving by so many times. We visited on a Saturday around 1145. We ordered spring rolls, pad Thai, and pad kee mao. The pad Thai was unlike any I’d ever had. It didn’t have a lot of sauce but the flavor was amazing. It had some crunchy bits, and a decent amount of chicken. It did have some fatty pieces of chicken which was kind of ewww, but I easily overlooked it because it was so good. Pad kee mao also amazing, best one we’ve had central/north area of Oahu. Food is very reasonably priced and large portions. Ambience is ehh, you have to eat outside at the tables near the parking area. Oversell, I’d recommend. We will go again, for sure.
Saw this sign on the side of the road and made a U-turn. Amazing food and cozy atmosphere!! Will definitely come back and recommend.
The food it's amazing! Great portions, great taste and real cheap. It's a bit remote because it's far like really far... You have to eat outside or for take out. Outside it gets really windy although the view it's beautiful. I'll recommend it for takeout. If You're around it's worth it.
The pics look great but to be honest I've had better Thai food..I love pad Thai noodles but this version was ok clover sprouts we're a bit much, there were like 4 shrimps, the flavor was a little burnt..customer service was good though she was nice..the lumpia was good but there were 4, there shoulda been at least 6 for the price..the garlic shrimp plate had lots of rice and the garlic was a little burnt too..
Did not offer water food was subpar served on paper plates plastic spoons.said it was cooked fresh but It was not left disappointed avoid this place.
Really good food and good services!

Got chicken pad Thai to go. Noodles were overcooked and it was so greasy that the grease seeped thru the container and went all over the seat of my car. There was no peanuts on top and it wasn’t as tasty as others I’ve had. Disappointed.
Food is so good for a great price!
Delicious food and very close to schofield barracks. Staff was very friendly. Serving size is big enough to leave you completely satisfied. And the food tasted great!
Wonderful place. Small one person operation. Limited seating but great food.

My favorite Thai food in Holly Eva fast friendly delicious and the portions are generous prices are right it's a family-run business and I can relate to that my first choice for Thai food on oahu's North Shore turn left just before the smoke shop and big wave shrimp up in the back in the pretty green and blue truck clean Shady dining room space or just get it to go I like the drunken noodle and they're predang Curry when I ask for extra vegetables they loaded up vegan friendly thank you John Lane
So unassumingly good! We weren't sure how good it would be, being connected to a golf course. We got the pad Thai and chicken fried rice. Both were so so good!!! Mild and not spicy, but you can probably ask for spicy. The pad Thai noodles were thin and drier than what we're used to, but they were beautifully coated in crushed peanuts and so much flavor. They had so many extras in the box too. Great prices too! Won't break the bank. It's nice they open so early so we can grab it on the way to the beach! You can call and order ahead too. We've been trying not to go to places twice until we've tried places for a good year of living here, but my husband is already asking about going back tomorrow!
Service was great. Very friendly and great food. Get the mango smoothie!
On our way to South shore and saw this food truck by the road. A delightful surprise. Pad Thai was great. Beef salad was delicious. Portions are on the small side though.
Great customer service! Great atmosphere. Family owned and operated food was delicious
Small place, but tasty food!
I ordered the kapow muu and it was mayjah!! Definitely will eat there again!!
When she used to be in waialua I was a regular, I always came by after school and ordered my favorite dish. I love the grapow muu! It is always cooked to perfection and the owner is so sweet and kind! After she changed to a different location and I moved out of waialua it’s been awhile since I’ve visited. I came today and of course ordered the usual! It always hits the spot! 😋 keep up the amazing job 👍🏻

Dipping sauce occasionally……
We order the Pad Thai, papaya salad and the grapow muu soooo good! Great service and yummy food.
Excellent home-style Thai food!
My husband and I went here and both were looking forward to this place! Based on the reviews and things we thought we found the place! But sadly we were disappointed. We ordered four different things. Pad thai, garlic shrimp, pad ki moow, and papaya salad. We tried everything so far and wasn't impressed. When we ordered to go we smelled all the spices and things and it smelled so good! But the taste was just not there. Another off putting thing was I wanted to drink Thai Tea and she told me "no" due to me having my son. She told me if I drink Thai Tea, it will keep my son up at night. So she won't allow me to order it.. Sure I get it but, I feel that regardless if the customer wants something you should allow them. I wish we could have experienced all the good things like everyone else but nope. I didn't. I give them 2 stars because the lady was nice, the place itself was nice as well, but just the food didn't taste the way I'd imagined. And the customer service was okay. Sad I didn't get to try the Thai tea. Plus I've had some really authentic Thai cuisine before, this didn't feel like it for me.
Not only Nui’s foods are all awesome, also her heart is. She truly cares about people. I recommend Larb and Grapow Muu.
Unexpectedly good hole in the wall with generous portions for extremely reasonable prices.
The locals love this place, and I do too.
This food is spectacular. Hands down, the best food on the island.
Warm friendly atmosphere - had the chilli barramundi - AMAZING!!
Service was great. Wait time was short. The flavoring of the food was very good, but my noodles were a little dry. I will definitely try them again.
I ordered Summer Rolls and Pad Thai, Shrimp today and it was fantastic!
The pics look great but to be honest I've had better Thai food..I love pad Thai noodles but this version was ok clover sprouts we're a bit much, there were like 4 shrimps, the flavor was a little burnt..customer service was good though she was nice..the lumpia was good but there were 4, there shoulda been at least 6 for the price..the garlic shrimp plate had lots of rice and the garlic was a little burnt too..
it was unexpectedly great!!!
Authentic southern-style Thai food prepared with an Aloha spirit. Nui made us panang curry full of flavor and spice and large enough to split. This is our favorite Thai food on-island!
Good food you must try tip them at lest $1.50 USD OR MORE.
Just as amazing as all the previous reviews say. So yummy.
I’ve been on Oahu for 5 days now and I almost lost faith in the local cuisine. I patronized several eateries recommended to me by friends (many of whom were locals at one point) and each one could be described as “just alright.”
Now, this wasn’t a giant disappointment as I didn’t come to the island for the food - I came for everything else. So when I happened upon Nui Thai, my hopes for enjoying an outrageously delicious meal had been all but dashed...I can safely say that after devouring several of Nui’s authentic thai dishes, my hope in finding a mind-blowing meal here has been fully restored.
The savory flavors of each dish came together in an absolute symphony of tang and spice. Nui, the maestro, has the deftest of hands when it comes to unlocking the door to flavor profiles I didn’t know existed. It’s obvious she has been perfecting her craft for many years.
I’m only glad I have at least half of my trip left to make a return trip (or two) to this humble truck, where Nui makes dreams come true.
Good food, big portions. My husband and I split one and it was perfect size. $18 for one meal and a order of spring rolls.
Amazing food and setting. The owner is just amazing and wonderful so friendly and kind. A must see when your in the Waialua area authentic Thai food. All fresh ingredients cook to order, so you know it's going to be bomb! 💗💗💗
We’ve been coming to this place everytime we have been in Hawaii for the last few years. We’ve never had better Thai food anywhere, including in Thailand and at upscale Thai restaurants around the world. It’s a wonderful place, highly recommend it.
Best thai food possibly ever. Fresh and delicious.
Great food. Great price.
Loved it. Friendly staff.
So delicious food, fast and cheap as well.
I love the chicken curry there it really good
Best Panang Curry Anywhere.
Great food great portions. Really love this place
Soooooo amazing ! Pad Thai & Pad Ke Mao is the best I’ve ever had. It’s a super tiny place, you KNOW you’re getting authentic flavor. There’s a bit of a wait, but that doesn’t matter when you’re on island time. Just sit and enjoy the weather. I would definitely come here again & recomend to everyone I know !!!
Best Thai food in the US!
Great food

Wonderful food...
Best fried rice and curry I have ever tasted! Wonderful chef, gourmet meals, fresh ingredients, and neat area to eat surrounded by Mother Nature. I score this an easy 10/10.
ガパオライスが美味しかったです。なかなかボリューミーでお腹いっぱいになります。
So delicious!!!
I tried lots of Thai food here in Oahu, probably all of them in North Shore. This is BEST Thai food in this island for sure. Also it's lovely price, not tourist trap.
Always good food and made fresh to order. Very good cashew nut chicken. The portions are good and the prices are great.
I love their panang curry.
So tasty! Perfect spice level. Made vegan upon request.
One of the best meals I had on Oahu!
Great food
Great home grown food....
We happened by today, and stopped on a whim. Wow. This may be the best Thai food I've ever eaten (and I've spent many weeks in Thailand). Everything was fresh, generous and delicious. I thought my daughter had made a mistake by ordering the cashew chicken, as it is often sweet and boring. Was I wrong, as it had some of the most complex flavours I've ever tasted. If I lived on Oahu, I'd make the drive to Nui's on a regular basis.
Some of the most AMAZING food I have had in a long long long time. FRESH & FABULOUS. Worth the drive from ANYWHERE on the island!
This is a permanently parked food truck next to a small covered patio with three tables...and it is AWESOME! The veggies were fresh, the curry perfect and the noodles just right. Affordable too! Large entrees are less than $10. A great change from the expense and crowds of Waikiki.
Wir waren 2 x dort essen. Köstliche Küche, große Portionen und eine sehr freundliche Gastgeberin. Für uns das beste Essen unterwegs auf Oahu!!!
Visited here on a whim. My siblings and I still talk about it. The best food from a food truck I have ever had. And not by just a little. The portions? Very generous. For ten bucks, are you kidding me? Great value.
Hawaii had a lot to offer... And Nui's Thai is on my list of places I will go to on my next visit.
The only negative is that it is located away from everything, so it may be a bit hard to find. My advice? Find it, eat it, enjoy it! You'll thank me later.
Really, really good Thai. Only two drawbacks: Mon thru Fri only and a very limited menu. Despite these... wow, amazingly tasty food. We had Penang curry, fresh summer rolls, and Muu grab (sp?). Loved all!
Their food is delicious, plus they give huge servings for a fair price, especially for Oahu! The only downside is that it's not always open when I'm driving home from work, but that might be a good thing because I would purchase too much food from them if they were open more often.
Crazy good!
Very disappointed at this place!! The summer rolls were just made of cabbage and one piece of shrimp! In addition, the menu was wrong and on top of that she cooked the wrapper so it became thick and moist. Pad thai was super salty and the owner was rude. She needs to learn what customer service means!!!!!
Delicious!
Good food, friendly and close to home!
Fresh, beautifully prepared, completely ono! Great Phad Thai, Green Curry was amazing best I have ever had in my life. Wonderful Larb muu.Quick and yummy
Fantastic food at a great price!! What a wonderful find that our friends took us to while visiting the island. We had the Pad Kee Mow and Chicken Fried Rice. Everything tasted so fresh. The lady(also the cook) behind the counter was very friendly too.
The pad thai was on point and it was extra spicy when I asked for extra spicy. Absolutely fantastic.
Every dish is excellent. We met a local who eats there twice a week. I wish we would have found this place sooner on our vacation. Two of us ate filling, delicious, home-cooked meals for $13! Everywhere else in town cost us around $25. The owner is very kind and personable. I highly recommend eating this amazing Thai food!
One of the best thai place ever. Lady running the business is very warm.
Great food!
Amazing pad thai, get portions, and cheap.
We ate at Nui's in 2010 on our honeymoon. Greatest food ever. I've never had Pad Thai like this and all the curries are amazing. Nui is the sweetest person, so kind and friendly. We felt so at home and came back again for another incredible meal. You can't visit Oahu without stopping by Nui's.
Nui's is not just dinner out it's dinner at a friend or family member's home. Of course you have to order and pay but The experience is Great!
Not only is the location beautiful but the food is fresh, cooked to order by Nui herself, and feelsand tastelike real home cooking which is something you crave when on vacation being catered to in a peaceful beautiful location. we were the only diners there at he time but I could tell that Nui's is a local favorite. People kept coming by to pick up their dinner and large orders and they all knew Nui on a first name basis.
We were served our food all portions were huge, delicious and under $10 which is hard to come by in Oahu.
I recommend the curry and an experience at this beautiful little outdoor eatery :-)
The best Thai food we've had! Panang curry is amazing. She also has Thai iced tea.
