We came upon this food truck by accident and we were impressed! So close to our hotel, the pad thai and the green curry were amazing! the flavor is fabulous and you can't get those dishes for that price anywhere else.
My first time trying this food truck out and got the chicken basil (my go to Thai dish) and it was very delicious meat/veggies to rice ratio and spice was just enough. As a southeast Asian myself this definitely isnβt Americanize ππΌ i will be back!
One year later update back again and this time someone different made the dish (chicken Thai basil). Chicken is definitely dry thereβs no sauce and itβs very bland no fish or soy sauce, itβs completely different to the other times Iβve had this in the past. But they definitely gave more in portion then before.
We ordered from here twice: first time we got Pad Thai, garlic shrimp and papaya salad (all looked ok, but the flavor and spice was amazing)! Second time we got spring rolls and the chicken fried rice (and asked for Thai spicy) and it was even more epic!
Best Thai food we have got on Waikiki area! Also kudos to the friendliest staff.
Thai food truck located near the beach. It is tucked in an alley with other food trucks. I had ordered the pad thai and papaya salad. I asked for both to be spicy when making the order. Both came out mild. The pad thai lacked the balance of flavors usually found in thai food. It could use more fish sauce and tamarind paste. The papaya salad also could use more fish sauce and a bit more sweetness. They give you a puck that buzzes when your food is ready. So that is convinient. Extra charges for utensils and using a credit card.
Very satisfied with fried rice. Anywhere I go, Iβm always looking for fried rice. This is the first time I bought fried rice from food truck, tasteful better than restaurant style. And pad Thai too. I just wait for 10 mins to get my food ready for to go.
I just wanted to share my experience at Ying's Thai Cuisine. The pad Thai was amazing and I went there two days in a row because it was so good. I'm sorry I found it at the end of my trip here. The service was cheerful and very friendly. Thank you for the sensational food!"
What a fantastic experience! After just arriving in Hawaii and checking in at a nearby hostel, I decided to look for some food and this food truck is what caught my eye. I got the yellow curry with chicken and it was to die for. There is a Thai restaurant back where I'm from and my friends and I always rave about how good it is, but I swear the curry from this food truck has 2x the flavor of any Thai curry I have ever had before. Rice was a perfect compliment to the curry as well. For $17, you get a ton of delicious food. The woman working the food truck was also extremely kind and friendly. Would highly recommend!

This is on food cart row right next to Hyatt Place. Thai, basil, beef, and cashew chicken were excellent with generous portion size.
The worst food and not just Thai. Overall terrible. Had the chicken cashew. No flavor and no sauces. Looked as if someone made it first time. Overpriced. Best to keep away from this place.

Thai Basil vegi was superb!!!!! Pad thai vegi was excellent!! Prabably the best i ever had

Yingβs is so good! I had the Stir Fry Thai with Beef & Basil. My wife had the Pad Thai. The spice was absolutely perfect! Iβd have taken a picture, but I couldnβt stop eating it after I had started. The Mango Sticky Rice is delicious! If youβre in Waikiki, you have to try this food truck!
Got food poisoning from here! π
Such good food with huge portions! Everyone in our family loved their meals and they were very nice and quick. This is an alleyway, so be prepared for vehicles coming by.
I wanted to like this, but it was bland and my fried rice had like 4 shrimp, which is kinda absurd for it being $20+. The pad thai was decent though
Mediocre.
I got the yellow chicken curry and the pad Thai. SO good! I preferred the yellow curry to the pan Thai. The pad Thai was very yummy and surprisingly flavorful but very spicy. I love spice, but it took me by surprise lol. Anyways, great atmosphere and a good place to stop after work or on a whim.
The food is good. The service lady is rude.
I never post reviews but felt like I needed to post this. I ordered the chicken basil stir fry last night. I loved it, however, ended up with food poisoning.
Ordered chicken pad Thai. We couldn't eat it.
Food truck. Nothing vegan.

Yummy food but too slow service
After a few days eating overpriced and boring hotel food, I decided to try this food truck. Best meal Iβve had in Hawaii so far. The spring rolls and basil shrimp were the highlights.

Deliciousness!! Authentic Thai tea made from a genuine Thai lady'S food truck! You MUST try it!! ππ
Lovely Food, big Portions and great Staff!
Best thai curry food truck you will find in Honolulu. Tasty food under $15. You will agree when you see the busy crowd waiting in line.
Best green curry.
Im returning customer
We have eaten here 3 times so far, and we LOVE IT! The portions are nice and large, and the flavors are so delicious. My favorite Thai on the island!
Must try their pad thai. It was so good but I don't think it's something you'd wanna eat if you're on a budget. It's $18. Remember that it's a food truck so the waiting time can be long. Also it's right behind a building so it kinda smells around the area. Still, I'd come back for their pad thai.
Great food, reasonable price π
I canβt say enough good things about the pad Thai!!! Itβs the perfect amount of spice, and the portion is plentifulβ€οΈ Oh, the spirit of aloha is abundant at this food truck and I always enjoy my time here. I love this woman, even more than I love the food. By far one of the best values and greatest flavors Waikiki has to offer!! Mahalos!!!! π€π½πΊπ€π½πΊπ€π½πΊ
Thai food truck parked on Cartwright Road, around the corner from the ABC store. There are a few chairs setup in between the food trucks to wait and eat, but no tables. With all the hotels and people walking around, donβt be surprised to see a line or have a wait for the food. Everything is made to order, very fresh and very tasty.
Nice service but food was very subpar for the price. Quantity of food was good but the quality was lacking. The fried pork belly was the saving grace of the meal. The other items ordered were bland and inauthentic. Perhaps quality declines as it gets later, but definitely don't plan on returning.
We ordered pad thai and fried pork belly. To me, the food was a bit below average. Pork belly was dry and the pad thai needed a bit more flavor. But to be fair, I came from SF bay area where there's lots of good Thai restaurants available and I also have been to Thailand to try out their local food. I think some people may like this place given that there aren't many Thai options in Oahu. In fact, there was a line of people around dinner time. Also the price is quite competitive given how inflated Waikiki restaurants are in general.
On a side note, they charge ~4% extra if you pay with credit card, so bring cash if you can.
This is a must if you are in Waikiki. Wonderful customer service, such sweet people who run the place! The food is amazing and the pork belly is out of this world!
Some of the best Thai food on the Islands. Well worth it. Portions good, food had great flavor, and not overly expensive.
Had the yellow curry. Ended up being delicious!
I donβt recommend this place- spring rolls are very fatty and oily; papaya salad smelled horrible and my pad Thai chicken had only one small pieces of chicken- only noodles. Quality of food is not good at all.
I was recommended the curries at this food truck by my shuttle driver. The Penang curry was amazing. I've never had a Thai curry with that much depth. Ended up going two nights in a row to order it. Highly recommend.
We asked if they can make our Pad Thai with vegetables spicy. We were delighted that the noodles were not sweet and the heat was very good
Great food, nice service. Itβs a food truck with few chairs set on side. We took food to go and went to hotel. Taste was great. Accommodated vegetarian options for us.
Ordered basil stir fried beef, if you want to have some traditional thai food, please avoid this.
the food was ok but the lady was rude.
Food was solid good, nothing like picture. Smaller portion. Not a lot of value here. Kinda pricey!!!!
The food was not very good quality and was overpriced.
Best pork belly Iβve had in a while
I had the garlic shrimp with rice, amazing!!
Pathai very nice
Great food and friendly and fast service.
Very good Thai food. I think this was the cheapest meal we had in waikiki. Filling, close to our hotel and great value. Wait wasn't too bad. The basil chicken didn't look like the picture but was still very good. Pad Thai also good, just missed the lime I usually get at other places. Overall we were very pleased with this hidden gem.
Excellent Thai food, reasonable price
My partner and I are both vegetarian and got pad Thai here. The food is cheap, good, and the portions are generous. You can also choose your spice level, and if you ask for spice, expect your eyes to water!
When we went, it was cash only, but thereβs an atm around the corner at the ABC store. It wasnβt too busy, and the wait was 15-20 mins.
We stayed at Hyatt for a week and seen this truck open for maybe a couple of days so decided to try and got pad thai and papaya salad, my husband liked the noodles but they were not the authentic pad thai that I'm used to, papaya salad was just OK, portions are small for the price
Ordered the basil stir fry with beef. When I got up to the window to get order I was told they were out of beef and was pork okay. I said Iβd rather have chicken but they said they were out of chicken and they already made it with pork. I was hungry enough to not care but after I grabbed the bag I thought it felt light. I opened the bag up and saw the baby food portions they packaged. From someone who is afraid to complain, I couldnβt let this pass. I went up to the counter and told them I ordered what was pictured on the menu, which was 5X the portion I received. I was rudely told the container was deceiving and there was more in there than thought. This was not okay. They offered me a refund for the food but gave me cash after I paid with card which included tax and tip. I PAID TAX AND TIPPED THEM FOR FOOD I DID NOT RECEIVE.
The worst customer service. Portion sized for hamsters.
Food was tasteless.
Great Pad thaΓ―, Thank you
When you get Thai hot. It is Thai hot. Ordered the Papaya salad, pork bell and Pad Thai. Great.
good food...
We ordered a pai Thai noodles and a Thai iced tea, taste so good.
The green papaya salad had so much fish sauce, it made me nauseous. They also wouldn't/couldn't tell me the ingredients in their food (allergy). I was very disappointed. π
Some of the best Thai at some of the best prices on island!
Got the spring rolls and fried pork belly. Food was good but nothing special and portions are very small. We were told there would be a 15 minute wait but ended up waiting over 45 minutes.
Definitely not worth it.
A must try. The 10 days we were there we had everything on this menu and we definitely loved every bite
Great tasting green curry and good spice
They committed credit card fraud on my card, four times, and now refuse to acknowledge my messages when Iβm trying to resolve it.
Decent Pad Thai, not great for a Thai truck. Friendly service, 35 minute wait for 1 dish on a Wednesday night at 8p
Amazing food, great service, decent pricing. Definitely going back!
Great food for an even greater price off a side street in Waikiki. Recommend the pork belly and spring rolls, perfect for to go and a short walk to the famous beach :)
It took a hour and 12 mins to make chicken fried rice, garlic shrimp (no rice, or noodles), and spring rolls. I was the last order of the night. The food was less than ok, maybe cause they "rushed it", after messing up several orders before mine. I would not recommend them.
large portions, made fresh, had the pad thai probably one of the best ones iβve had in a while definitely recommend if youβre staying in waikiki
Horrible experience. We waited for 1.5 hrs and they kept telling us β5 minutesβ. They shouldnt let you order from a truck if the wait is 90 mins or at least they could let you know. Also they should be more honest about timing.
Great garlic shrimp and papaya salad. Long wait time but worth the wait.
The food was excellent. Made to order, fresh and hot. I had the shrimp pad thai and thai tea. Worth EVERY dollar. Did I mention the price was under $20! Perfect dinner for the price. We will definitely eat here again during our stay in Waikiki.
Good and yummy.
Cheap place to eat Thai food pork belly the best and the pad Thai noodles the best on the island and it is cooked fresh and yummy
Best mango sticky rice in Hawaii!! We love it
I ordered the pad Thai with shrimp. The food was really good and they have a good variety.
I ordered the green curry for dinner. Good service, it was tasty but I was unlucky as I got food poisining that night from the green curry, most likely from the chicken. Stomach cramps all night, couldn't go to sleep.
They are open only at night. I was hesitant on patronizing this place because itβs located in an alley behind the Hyatt where we stayed. We are locals, and doing a staycation for winter break. Itβs one of those mobile food mobiles. It did remind me of street food in Thailand, and since Covid happened, we havenβt been able to travel. So, I took a chance based solely on longing to travel. Iβm glad I did.
Most items are around $10 and they have a little of everything. I had the papaya salad, medium, and it was excellent. Good size portion too. I also ordered the basil beef. It looked like someone already ate from it, but considering it was take out, Iβm sure I sloshed it around. I expected more in terms of quantity. However, my family tried it and said it was really good. The next day I ordered chicken basil and they said that was good too. Sadly, they were out of sticky rice so I ordered jasmine. They give 2 scoops.
If you pay by credit card, they tack on an extra 4%. Iβd definitely come back and try other items. Everything is made to order but I waited perhaps 5 minutes.
Best Thai place in Waikiki! AMAZING mango rice!
I can't describe how delicious their food is - you just got to try it out for yourself! I recommend the Thai tea, the garlic shrimp, the fried pork belly, and (when they have it) the mango rice! Each item is amazing and the people running the cart are awesome and friendly! They also are covid-19 friendly and make sure everything is safe. If you love cart food this is the place to go!
I've had the green curry and yellow curries, and they were great. Outstanding customer service too!
Ordered pad see eiw, fried pork belly and mango sticky rice and all of them were exceptional!!! Very yummy. Super fast delivery and easy ordering over the phone. Food was ready for take out in 15 minutes.
