This is real Thai food. When you ask spicy they make it spicy but really Thai spicy. This place is a treasure for people who love real Thai food. I come from Asia and it was the closest to my home food
Went twice, all selected dishes were delicious each time
We went for lunch time and the place was rather empty (so the 4stars)
This Thai food restaurant needs recognition! The food was so good. I really really want them to stay in business!
My husband and I are always on the look out for good Thai food wherever we go, so to have a a place in honolulu is fantastic!
I have listed below the few dishes we ordered and what makes them great, but if you don’t want to read through it just know that we had leftovers and they were fire the next day. I honestly don’t know any Thai food place locally where the leftovers are good after a reheat lol.
The ambience was great! Soft lighting. Options for either booth, or chair and table seating inside or outside seating were lovely. We chose inside since it was chilly outside, but it looked lovey out there. Music was not too slow and sleepy but also not so upbeat you choke to each beat.
The staff were quick to seat us, pleasant natured and close by to serve throughout dinner without hovering over us.
As for the food;
Disclaimer: we did order only veggies dishes, as I’m sure if any other proteins were added it would be different.
We ordered a pad Thai noddle which the noddles were perfectly cooked (not mushy nor dry) and seasoned fantastic (not too sweet, sour, or over sauced). We also ordered veggie spring rolls which the presentation of them was very lovely in a two tier stand, they were also delicious, I was very happy it wasn’t made with that chewy thick wrap some places will use, it was a lovey crispy wrap, the contents of which being very pleasantly seasoned (not too salty, over cooked or too much of one ingredient)
We also ordered a yellow curry, the flavor was well balanced (not too sweet, tangy nor was it pasty, as I know some places will use the same paste to make their curries and over do it). The veggies in the curry were cooked perfectly! The carrots and potatoes a fantastic size and cooked all the way through without an overcooked outer layer. The onions were served well as to not over power the dish nor be scarce.
I do wish they had a dessert menu that evening but that’s ok, I’m excited to come back when they do!
Thank you Better Thai for the great space, service and food you provide! I look forward to many years.
Our 2nd time at this place. Hands down one of the best Thai food places in Hawaii. We love everything about this place. From the ambiance to the food service, and their drinks were very impressive! The food is perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. We ordered fried angel wings, seafood red curry, pad se-iew, and mango sticky rice. Their butterfly pea margarita drink was amazing! We'll definitely come back again!
Potential is pretty high for a decent meal here, but I'm not sure what management or ownership is looking for with the direction of this location. It kind of feels like a restaurant that wants to be a bar or club? Definitely high end stripmall feels?
Definitely undertrained young staff (that's fine, they're young), the food was OK at best. The restaurant was spotless and clean. It's a shame because Potential for a busy, bustling restaurant is there, but I'm not sure if this place wants to be a restaurant.
We had takeout here last night and found the food and service to be excellent. We would highly recommend this place.

Came here to dine in as their hours on their website indicate they accept dine in and take out, but was pretty irritated to find upon arrival that they were booked out for an event and weren't able to seat us. The hours should reflect what their capable of accurately instead of wasting people's time. We came from the other side of the island just to be told we could do take out if we wanted. I didn't get dressed for a nice dinner with my significant other to eat in the parking lot.

테이크아웃으로 팟타이, 똠양꿍 시켰는데요,
해산물도 신선한지 모르겠고, 맛도 그냥그랬어요.
무엇보다, 여행갔다와서 집에 왔더니, 카드에서 팁이 나중에 따로 빠져나갔더라구요. 테이크아웃해서 제가 픽업했는데도 팁을 마음대로 25% 붙여여서 말이죠.... -_-;;;
음식사진이 없는데....제가 픽업간 날, 카운터 직원분이 자기 첫날이라고 해서 덕담까지 한 기억이 있습니다. 뭔가 당한 느낌....

This restaurant is exactly ax its name suggests. Better Thai. Fresh, tasty, colorful, and great value.
Food was delicious! Nice atmosphere. Good service. Highly recommend!
Horrible horrible service. We ordered 3 dishes and got 1 dish fairly quickly then never heard from a server for the next 30 mins. The restaurant had only 4 tables being served. We asked them why there was long delay between dishes and we were told that the server forgot to put it in yet, they were able to relay the order back to us meaning someone was lying. Food was good but horrible horrible service.
Real thai food tasting with good vibe
Great Food, amazing service and fast. I highly recommend it.
Larb salad was great and outstanding Tom Yum.
Loved the veg egg rolls and the green curry.
Good service and pleasant vibe.
I don’t know what happened to this place. Not sure if they changed owners or chefs, but this used to be our go-to Thai spot down the street. Me and my partner just ordered the SEAFOOD penang curry and I ended up finding and biting into a piece of beef in my curry. We also ordered the pad kee mao with tofu & veggies. Not only was it super bland, I found small pieces of beef in it as well. It’s wild to me that there’s meat in a dish that was supposed to be only seafood or vegetarian. It makes me think they don’t clean or switch out the pans they cook with for different orders. It’s terrible quality and thoughtless cooking. Last time we’re ordering from here.
The food was delicious and the servers were so lovely! Highly recommend this place!
I never write bad reviews, but I've been all over the world and when you are looking for a nice new restaurant, with good food, it's dreadful when you come across a restaurant that isn't good at all, so I feel that I must warn you! I've been to the best Thai restaurants, and this place needs a new recipe and a new cook. The "curry" was watery, cheap, and tasteless. The rice was mushy, and clumped together. My date agreed, so it wasn't just me. The service couldn't be more rude if they tried. There are much better Thai restaurants on Oahu - certainly not this one, claiming to be "Better."
This is real Thai food. When you ask spicy they make it spicy but really Thai spicy. This place is a treasure for people who love real Thai food. I come from Asia and it was the closest to my home food

We went for lunch time and the place was rather empty (so the 4stars)
both their website and phone number were down for ordering takeout which wasn't a great first impression. the atmosphere was absolutely dead when we got there so i was glad to leave ASAP, but we waited maybe fifteen minutes between ordering and getting our food — not bad at all. the panang curry and khao soi were incredibly aromatic with great depths of flavor. takeout portions are humongous too, so you definitely get your money's worth here.
Absolutely delicious. Great drinks too. Went here tonight while vacationing in Oahu and it’s a must if you’re looking for excellent Thai food! So glad we came here.
We were looking forward to a good Thai dinner. But disappointed. The food was just average. We had Pad Se Ew and Green Curry. Not sure what was off, maybe too much black pepper? The service was poor. They brought out our spring roll starter along with my green curry dinner. We had asked for the spring rolls first however. Then about 20 min later they came out and said they ran out of chicken for the Pad Se Ew. It was so weird because the restaurant was fairly empty and I could not figure why they had cooked my meal brought it out and then waited 20 min to start cooking for my daughter’s meal. Atmosphere is just ok. Would not go back.
This is my new go-to for Thai food. The food here is absolutely amazing! You won't want to stop eating, even when you are full! You WANT TO EAT HERE!
Great food, service, and ambience all for a reasonable price! The soft shell crab salad and roasted duck curry were amazing. Great cocktails as well.
By far the best Thai restaurant I have been to in Hawaii. The service and food are Five Star-plus quality. They have a wide variety of Thai regional dishes and the wait staff can patiently explain the differences. This place also has a bar with an excellent drink selection. Classy decor, nice ambiance for a night out with friends or dinner before or after movie. I have been there twice and am hooked!
Had the pad thai with chicken....so delicious
Great staff and food.
There was another Thai spot at this exact location but this Thai joint opened up to replace it recently. One lazy evening we decided to do a take out from here and I would say it’s not bad.
The previous Thai spot was only okay maybe 3-3.5 stars in terms of food, but this new one is definitely a step up from the previous. We got the Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, Spring Roll and mango sticky rice. I had very low expectations, so the food definitely exceeded my expectations but not the best Thai food there is.
Overall, I’d be back because of its convenience and when I am lazy to cook and have Thai craving.
Not open when they say they are online… :( second time I came and it was closed when it said it was open online
Have to give it a 1 star because we had made reservations and showed up and the restaurant was closed.
Not sure what the attraction is to this place. I am bummed to leave this review but the food here is not very good. We ordered the Thai chicken soup - loads of thin tough flavorless chicken and noodles in a bland boring broth with nothing else. Something you would give a 3 year old. Such a disappointment I super wanted my money back for that one. I didn't eat it and it was $18 if I have that correct.
The curry was incredibly rich and just not that good as it lacked flavor and the eggplant was pretty good but not quite there. I think if my hubby had ordered it with tofu instead of that terrible thin tough flavorless chicken, it would have been better. The gyoza wasnt good. Overall just not great and I wouldn't waste my money. The staff was very friendly and kind. We ordered take out so I don't know how it is if you dine in.
Please note that my experience could have been an off day!! That can happen…
I made reservations at this place for V day and it fell flat. We try to order everything on the menu and they were out of EVERYTHING… they didn’t even have Diet Coke. I’m sure the food would have been great but I didn’t have the chance to eat it. No fried banana, no steak, no mango sticky rice I could go on but I’m done. Fix your self Better Bites.
Absolutely incredible. What a great restaurant, highly recommend!!!
The food was amazing! Staff was always attentive. We went on a Sunday night. Really recommend it.
This restaurant never disappoints. Great variety and food is very tasty.
Great place. We will come back for a date.
I love it, coming back
Started off good. Then the “roti” arrived. Absolutely DISGUSTING. Drowning in deep fried oil. I could taste that nasty oil through-and-through. So unhealthy. You take a bite of that roti and the deep fried-refried oil just drips down your throat. Absolutely disgusting creation.
Noodles were ok, but also too oily. (At least not as bad as roti though).
Fried rice was good. But the impression from the roti is ever-lasting and I won’t ever go back. I wonder what kind of oil is used.🤢
Very excellent food and reasonable price!
Stopped in for lunch. Reasonable prices. Very clean & well-maintained. Friendly & prompt service. Food came quickly and was hot and fresh. I could not ask for a better experience and will definitely return.
Love every dish I have tried! I love to eat there! People are very friendly and food is always amazing!! Spicy basil is amazing with pork too!
Our first experience here was great!
The flavors were well balanced. I can’t wait to come back to try more dishes.
1st time to this place and we were blown away from the exceptional customer service. Everyone was so nice. The presentation of the food was awesome and was very yummy. The ambiance was modern and warming. Great job to the staff! Can't wait to go again.
Absolutely excellent place for a lovely evening. Fantastic food, great prices, relaxing music and attentive service. Will be coming back again and again.
da best!
Food was amazing, definitely the best Thai food we have had in Oahu. The service was great! Definitely will be back.
Excellent service, food and atmosphere! Best Tom Yum in Island.
My new favorite Thai restaurant and I’m Thai 😁
Meals were extremely flavorful and the staff was very kind
I had one of their lunch menu options. Great food at a reasonable price. If you're looking for fresh, authentic Thai food, this is a great spot!
Delicious papaya salad rolls
Better Bites is my new favorite Thai place on Oahu. I’ve eaten here 5 or 6 times already and have never once had a bad meal. Favorites are the pad thai, the eggplant delight, and the spring rolls. The servers are so friendly and attentive too! Highly recommend trying this place!
Great pad thai. Loved the lunch options. You get to taste a little bit of everything. Highly recommend this place.
Best Thai on the island. Go eat
We visited this place for dessert only first for our staple fav sticky rice mango, it was absolutely delicious both visually and tasty.
So we decided to go here the last night we were in Hawaii and try their food…..AND OMG we were blown away yet again with food, service, presentation, and flavors. The entire team and the owner are so welcoming and helpful. The place is very clean snd has a very relaxing ambience.
The food here is great. New spot let's hope the keep it going!
Incredible Thai food- probably the best on island. There was a lot of depth to the flavors- and they used high quality ingredients. I got the Crispy Veggie Rolls, and they were amazing- the dipping sauce was one of the best I've had with spring rolls. I also ordered the Pad Ka Prao (with chicken), which was one of the most unique foods I've eaten- spicy but not overwhelmingly spicy- again, with a lot of depth to the flavor. I'm very impressed, and can't wait to eat there again soon. Highly recommend!
ITS SO GOOD DUDE
It’s amazing.
The food, service, flavors, presentation, and drinks were amazing. This is literally a hidden gem in Oahu and the name speaks for itself.
The size of a portion is good, we ordered Pad Thai from the lunch specials menu, the food is very fresh and well priced. Friendly customer service. The windows and frames need cleaning, other than that i will keep recommending it to my friends and neighbors. Keep up the good work, we need you in the neighborhood, many condos will benefit from awesome healthy food.
$19 for 11 pieces of calamari. It was good, and so was the service and atmosphere, but I will not be back when Thai restaurants down the street are just as good and you get a whole meal for this price. Also, it's not that extensive of a menu. No panang or masaman curry? Any fish?
Highly recommended! The food and service are awesome here.
The best Thai food ever. If you are in Oahu. This is the must place to visit.
The food was good. The presentation was awesome . Ambiance is pleasant.
Staff is very polite .
We loved it . Coming back to this place tomorrow again. soup is must try
Impeccable cleanliness, attentive service, and tasty Pad Thai. With affordable prices and a dedication to exceptional customer experience, it's the best dine in restaurant around in town!
We had a great dining experience last night. The service was friendly and efficient. We ordered appetizers, then dinner followed by dessert. All of the food was beautifully prepared and very tasty. I love Thai food, and this restaurant will be one of my favorites. I will definitely be back!
The staff was so attentive and friendly! The crispy vegetable roll and pad Thai was delicious! We got the fried bananas with taro ice cream for dessert, SO GOOD! Oh and the Thai iced tea is a 10 out of 10!!
Food quality and attention to detail is truly outstanding. The mieng salmon is totally out of this world. And these are such nice people too!
Excellent food! We had several items including the green curry, yellow curry, pad Thai etc. All items tasted great. It seemed that the restaurant was short staffed because the service was lacking slightly, but overall was decent. I likely will visit this place again.
Great friendly customer service, great food, great atmosphere, clean!! Outside seatings looks great too!
We randomly went in, because we were hungry and needed food! Great find! Will go back again, and again…!! Thank you for the great experience!
Such a great restaurant! The food was so delicious, and the staff is really kind. I ordered a yellow curry for lunch, which I thought came with summer rolls--turns out, I ordered the yellow curry (a big bowl of curry and rice) as opposed to the yellow curry meal (a smaller serving of the curry, but with spring rolls included). They then gave me summer rolls for free, for *my* mistake! Such delicious food, cool atmosphere (very cool dishware, if that at all matters), and a great lunch overall.
Tried this place for lunch. The food was fantastic. We can't wait to go back and try more things!
Better Bites Thai in Honolulu exceeded all my expectations. The food was outstanding and easily some of the best Thai cuisine I've ever tasted. We ordered the Drunken Noodles, Thai Fried Rice, and Mango Sticky Rice—all bursting with freshness and flavor.
Despite placing our order just minutes before closing, the welcoming staff happily prepared our meal to-go without any hesitation. Their dedication to excellent customer service left a lasting impression.
If you're in Honolulu, make sure to visit Better Bites Thai for an unforgettable dining experience. You won't be disappointed with the mouthwatering dishes and the exceptional service. Highly recommended!
Best Thai food we had in Honolulu by far. Excellent curry, pad khe mao and mango sticky rice. The staff were lovely and attentive. Flavors of the food were fresh and not overly salted or heavy on sauce. Make sure to check them out!
Very fresh vegetables and delicious sauces. We've been looking for a great Thai restaurant in Honolulu, and I think we found it! I hope the word gets out and they become a popular place so they can stay open. There is also nice outdoor seating.
We loved it! Try the drunken noodles and mango sticky rice!
