So I removed the chicken pieces and ate it. Portions were good. Food was prepared quickly and they are on DoorDash. Only meat for a veg order is really a deal breaker :(

We ordered the fresh rolls (shrimp). They were great! I ordered the sweet and sour chicken. It was fantastic. Full of chicken, perfect consistency. The pineapple was obviously fresh and super ripe. It came with a bowl of white rice. I loved my dish. We also had ordered chicken pad Thai. They said it was good but just good. Lacked a bit of flavor I guess?
Overall we enjoyed it.
Parking is free street parking. Went on a Monday night and there was plenty.
You order at the window and tell them if you’re taking it to go or staying. There is covered seating outdoors to the right. Owners son served us. Made sure we had drinks and everything we needed.
They were friendly and attentive.

Owners are from north eastern Thailand known for some of the best Thai dishes. Their ability to duplicate the delicious north eastern cuisine is remarkable. Absolutely some of the best Thai food I’ve had in my life!

I have been going to Thailand for the past 25 years and know what Thai food is. This Thai food was the worst I have ever had with no taste whatsoever. If you like boiled tasteless chicken and boiled vegetables with no taste this place is for you. We ordered chicken with cashew nuts, the eggplant and papaya salad. Ended up throwing it away. Papaya salad was okay but not great!

Fantastic Thai food. We’ve eaten Thai in at least ten different states and this is right up there in the top 3 best meals.

We stumbled on this wonderful restaurant on Thanksgiving - one of the only places open - and we were amazed at the quality of curry!

If you have ever heard the saying - don’t judge the book by it’s cover, this place was a prime example of it.

Amazing Thai food.

I loved it!! The spice level is way better than a lot of other places I went to and was actually spicy. There were many vegetable in the Pad See Ew which we appreciated and the service was pretty quick. :)) Place is a little hard to find, we almost missed it, but glad we found it. We came in with low expectations and left with big smiles! 😁

Not the most pleased with my experience.

My tofu pad kaprao was pleasantly spicy as I requested, but I struggled to find much else going on with the flavor.

The fairly scant portion for the price compared with the competition in town, and the lukewarm treatment I got at the window, did not help sell me on returning either.

In my opinion there are several better (thai) options mere minutes away.

Food was delicious & reasonably priced!

I’ve ordered numerous times and each time the food was fresh, tasty, and the portion size allowed for leftovers. I love the pad Thai, mixed vegetables with chicken, pumpkin curry with chicken, sticky rice.

The guy working today had horrible service with no Aloha or smiles. Nothing like my people in Thailand. Im kinda embarrassed. I ordered and ask for spicy. I got the mild. And I ordered something that is generally served with rice. I didn't any nor did he asked me if I would like a side of rice if the location sold it separately. I would have gladly paid for it. My whole experience was unfortunately. I was excited to give some business to my own people. I can't support that

This little home in the wall restaurant serves truly authentic Thai meal. The green pawpaw salad was just so delicious and the green curry magnificent. If you can do eat here

Take out and one outside table for dining, reasonable prices, generous portions, excellent selection of veggies, lots of veggies in my pad Kee mao. Today dish is nicely not sweet, could be more spicy and flavorful for my taste.

This place is pretty good. It’s not always open but I love their rice.

Omg, I had the papaya salad here 4 days in a row. The flavor is most authentic to what I had I Thailand. The silver noodle salad is super refreshing too!

The food at Bangkok Villa is the most fresh of all Thai restaurants in Hilo. Order the Larb and get it spicy hot if you want to be reminded of how Thai food tastes in Thailand!

Unfortunately the food quality wasn’t even reaching the average standard of Thai restaurants in the states. We ordered pineapple fried rice, did not find any pineapple there, rice was clustered, taste like soy sauce; Pat Thai was a nightmare, smelled like plastic and tasted like plastic as well, we did not finish the full portion and threw it away.

Amazing food!! So fresh!! Best Thai food I’ve had on Hawai’i Island. We ordered from doordash and it was super quick. The only thing I could say is that I don’t think all of their takeout packaging is compostable but I could be wrong. Mahalo for the tasty healthy dinner!!

Loved it. Fresh, good flavors, reasonable prices and not pretentious. Those that complain about a long wait go find a nice chain restaurant where you can get your frozen food microwaved. Absolutely love finding a family restaurant where my food is cooked to order and brought out fresh as soon as it's done, fantastic for family style sharing.

We had the pineapple curry (tofu) and pad kee mao (tofu). The pineapple curry was awesome, and I'd definitely recommend it. The pad kee mao was a bit disappointing, as it didn't seem to have the sauce I associate with it. Over all though it's a pleasant place with yummy food.

The food was OK if nontraditional, and the pricing wasn't atrocious, however service was quite slow, to the point where our table of four received our entrees one at a time over a period of 10-15 minutes, and the restaurant wasn't even busy at the time. That simply makes the meal awkward for the first recipients, and rushed for the last recipients...
