Ordered take out, tiny portion of rice. Portions seem small for what you pay for.

We are staying in a hotel close by, wanted Thai food and just picked Spice of Thai because it was close. After dining there, we felt like we hit the jackpot! We shared, the papaya salad, the Tom Kha soup and the steamed dumplings. The salad and soup were delicious, and the dumplings may have been the best I've ever eaten. I had the Thai Fried Rice w/ shrimp and my wife had the Thai Jungle w/ shrimp. Every dish was very fresh, flavorful and plentiful. The service was top notch. We asked our server to space out each course so we were not rushed, and she did an excellent job. I spent a month in Thailand and this has come the closest to authentic Thai food I've had in the states. I hope to get back there before I leave the area.

Hidden Gem in Roswell!

We stumbled upon this cozy restaurant while exploring the Roswell area and were blown away by the flavors and quality of the food! The Tom Kha soup was rich and creamy, the spring rolls were crispy perfection, and the spicy basil with rice was savory and aromatic.

Every dish exceeded our expectations, and we left feeling satisfied and impressed. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by – you won't regret it! Highly recommended!

--- 2024 update ---

It's clear that the ownership here has changed. Table service has declined and the man at the register is pushy for tips, even for pick up orders. Seriously, what service is involved in carrying the food from the kitchen to the register? Pretty sure it's the restaurant's job to get the food into your hands to earn their payment. That was the final straw for my husband (a former server) who refuses to eat there again. It's a real pity as we've been customers for 15+ years and the food is still good. But there are too many other good Thai places in Roswell.

--- 2016 review ---
Spice of Thai has become my go-to Thai place in Roswell. Their soups are a pleasant surprise in that they actually put a bunch of ingredients (as opposed to a couple of sad mushrooms floating around). Favorites are the curries and stir fries, particularly the Thai Jungle. Good deal at lunch but dinner prices are also reasonable compared to other Thai restaurants in the area.

Fantastic traditional Thai food ever!! Basil ground chicken with fried egg is awesome! We also love Pad Thai there very much.

Diner Review №11

Second time going and the food is fresh as always. Springs rolls taste amazing. 🔥

Diner Review №12

Great family run restaurant with great food. We had five dishes and they were all great tasting. We highly recommend a visit to the local Thai eatery.

Diner Review №14

Great food selection, well presented and lovely atmosphere. Server refilled our drinks quickly.
I had Tom Kha Soup (I added some garnish), spring rolls, steamed dumplings and satay chicken, and my companions had Cashew Chicken (we shared the appetizers) and everyone enjoyed it.

Diner Review №15

5 stars! Unexpected gem of a place, especially since we just picked randomly based on proximity. (Emory Urgent Care, Wellstar Emergency, Kroger, and Goodwill).

The ambiance felt like we were going for a date night dinner instead of a quick lunch. It was a little dim and cozy; chill and laidback for the lunch hour with instrumental playing in the background. There were very pretty decorations on the wall, too, with framed detailed sequenced artworks.

The food was top-notch! Though I may be partial since I like a good rice dish. The flavor and proportion were just right. It wasn't oily (fried rice), and the saltiness paired well with the plain fried tofu. Good for vegetarians, too, since you can just have tofu for your meat.

What surprised me the most was the available changing table on their womens restroom! Especially since it was a pretty small establishment. Big plus for families bringing their babies!

Diner Review №16

Stopped by for Saturday dinner. Nice looking store. Clean with piano music and inside temp was good. Cloth napkin. Ordered the spring roll appetizer and medium spice chicken pad see eew. The spring rolls were what you would expect but well presented. The noodle dish came nice and hot and definitely medium spiced. Chef got it right. The noodles were great but slightly overcooked. You can tell when the rice noodles kinda break apart. Brown sauce was as I would expect and remember. Veg was crisp and not over cooked. The dish definitely satisfied my craving as I have eaten this a lot. Had to wait slightly longer than wanted to for drink refill but otherwise service accomplished the mission. All in all I would definitely come back for my spicy Thai fix. You should try this place out. Good Job!

Diner Review №17

This place was always great when they had the ladies serving there .. they were always welcoming and friendly and great ..

Diner Review №20

Diner Review №21

Great basil fried rice . Order here every week.

Diner Review №22

Food was very good, piping hot and tasty. But the patrons in the dining room came only a distant second to the steady stream of pickup order customers. Took at least 20 minutes and two requests by walking up to the counter just to get our check. We won't dine in again.

Diner Review №23

Love the eggs and it was so spicy 10out of 10 for me

Diner Review №24

Great customer service. The food was pretty good. Everything was separated and it was appreciated. The environment was pleasant.

Diner Review №25

Food quality was great! Love the flavor and it's affordable.
The portion was large and shareable!

Thai tea was delicious
Angel wings were the best! Crunchy and full of favor
Panang curry with tofu was delicious and has the right texture.
Catfish dish had the right amount of spices and sweetness
Our kids love the fried rice.

I highly recommend this Thai restaurant! The atmosphere was clean and welcoming!

Happen to be in the area and decided to stop for dinner. The service was great, very pleasant server, the food was delicious, as a matter of fact my family agreed it may be worth the drive for a future meal.

Diner Review №29

I have loved Spice of Thai for a while. They are consistently good and the best place I’ve found for Pad Thai. I got chicken & shrimp in it and added broccoli. DELICIOUS!!! Appetizers were gyoza & shrimp bikinis! Also excellent! Atmosphere is great - it is in a strip mall but inside is lovely!

Diner Review №30

I usually come around the same time.. today server (mati) told me I had to get my food to go because they closed in 20 min, as a regular and seeing how they dont have as much business as they used to, I didnt expect them to turn me away.. I am hopeful that their service gets better!!

Diner Review №31

Good quality and delicious food.

Diner Review №32

A very good Thai restaurant. Almost all of the dishes I have had have been excellent. The Tom Yum soup is, however, often lacking in a more robust flavor but that is my only complaint. Maybe it needs more spice paste (chili, lime, etc). Convenient location in Roswell. Staff have always been very polite and attentive and the owner doubly so. Worth a visit.

Diner Review №33

Delicious…👍 but I need more spicy on tomyum..
Air conditioner was not work.. its very hot

Diner Review №34

静かに落ち着いてお食事ができます。😌
タイチャーハンを食べましたが、美味しかったです。😋

Diner Review №35

Picked this place for a friend reunion and it was perfect. Adding to the return list. Food is amazing and the people there made us all feel very welcome. Did I mention the food! 🤤

Diner Review №36

Excellent food, quantity of food is large and very tasty. Their assortment of spices at the table is delicious.

Diner Review №40

Didn’t know the Mhai Thai was sold! Ordered a basil fried rice, Pad Woon Sen and yellow curry. All with Tofu and no meat. The fried rice was okay but the Pad Woon Sen had strong stench to it which made the dish pretty unappealing to eat and was off putting. Yellow curry was more orange and not up to the mark. Overall, below par and definitely ways to go to match with its predecessor!

Diner Review №41

Diner Review №42

Diner Review №43

The food is delicious. I strongly recommend Spice of thai to everyone. Also, this is a business owned by a woman and run by women. So let's us support from now on.

It’s unfortunate that I have to share this review. I’ve never done a bad review at a restaurant before but here we go. I’m a frequent customer here I usually order out but tonight (which is valentines night) we decided to dine in. We ordered drinks that never came and we would see the waitresses running around like chickens with their heads cut off, it was not even busy most of the orders were takeout. We waited about 45min and we got nothing brought to our table! Finally we decided to leave and the lady up front didn’t even care or apologize ..she just said “okay”. I will no longer be dining here nor will I be recommending this place to people when they are in town. It’s a shame I was one of their best customers.

Diner Review №48

I got the spicy basil fried rice with chicken. It tasted good, but was not spicy at all.

Diner Review №49

Diner Review №50

This place is a hidden gem. Their Ton Kha soup was delicious. We also got two different appetizers and shared one of their specialties. I forgot to take a photo before digging in! The restaurant has the atmosphere and intimacy of fine dining. Their service was quick, but you should note there was only one other table seated there at the time we ate here.

Diner Review №51

This little spot makes for a great lunch dining experience.

Diner Review №52

Best Thai food in GA

Diner Review №53

Food had no flavor

Diner Review №54

Decent is my takeaway. Of the three Thai restaurants in close proximity on Crossville, this is the better. The food was good, not great, and not super flavorful. It seemed like the flavors/spice were muted. I even asked for spicy and it just wasn't. The menu and the varied with appealing options. I will give it another go just to make sure it wasn't an off night. It is good enough for another run.

The interior and decor are pleasing and comfortable ✨️.

What I didn't quite understand was how slow the service was, without that many other patrons. I found myself looking around, wondering when the server was going to come over and I am rather patient.

Diner Review №55

Pork Pad Thai (pictured) and the drunken noodles are my go to right now.

Diner Review №56

We eat here often and never disappointed. Everything on the menu is good. Curry, noodles, rice. All of it.

Diner Review №57

Diner Review №58

Just awesome all the way around

Diner Review №59

Great Thai food. The employees are very nice and I enjoy eating here regularly. They have so many great dishes but I find myself getting a few of the same ones repeatedly. Everyone is really friendly and they know us when we call to order.

Diner Review №60

Diner Review №61

Not amazing, but very good. I've enjoyed everything I've gotten there, and I've rarely gotten better Thai at this price-point. But, it is "Restaurant next to a grocery store" quality.

Diner Review №62

Delicious authentic Thai. Will b coming back. The Tom yum and cheese crab rolls and crab fried rice were amazing. My sister loved the pad thai. Can't wait to come back will be making this my go to for thai

Diner Review №63

Absolutely loved the Kao Soi!!

Diner Review №64

Diner Review №65

Diner Review №66

Absolutely one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the entire state of Georgia

Diner Review №67

Popped in for lunch and immediately said, “o
Oh, it’s cute in here.” Casual, but nice atmosphere, clean.
The lunch menu has many options. Entrees include a spring roll, and let me tell you, that’s the best spring roll I can recall ever having. (In recent years, every where I go seems to have greasy rolls that just taste like oil and not the filling. Not so here.)
The Pad See Ew with tofu was great. A filling portion for lunch. My lunch companion had Thai Basil Tofu. They left off the onion and subbed in carrots (onion allergy), no problem. Fair warning, she likes spice so she ordered medium spicy. It was too hot for her.
I definitely recommend Spice of Thai.

Diner Review №68

Ordered to go, food was ready and placed in Uber eats order. I waited 20 minutes. The waitress knew exactly what I ordered. Poor customer service.

If you like Thai then you must check out this place! It’s clean nice atmosphere and service is fast and friendly.

Diner Review №72

Never had a mediocre experience. Food and service has always been excellent. I could say more, but any reader should just go try it.

Diner Review №73

Top notch Thai

Diner Review №74

Diner Review №75

My go to place for the Basil fried rice. Lunch special applied automatically.

Diner Review №76

Diner Review №77

The pad se ew is always great.

Diner Review №78

This is one of the best Thai restaurants in Roswell area. The Larb Gai is fantastic as well as the mango sticky rice. Great service and reasonably priced!

Diner Review №79

I usually love everything I order but don't recommend the crispy duck. Duck was too fried and the meat was SO DRY. Disappointing. I feel bad for the duck that had to lose his life for a poor meal.

Diner Review №80

Delicious spicy basil fried rice with tofu. Generous lunch portion and super friendly customer service. Nice, clean spacious restaurant, I can't waitnto come back!

Diner Review №81

Delicious! Check it out the next time you are in their neighborhood.

Diner Review №82

Love their food but I think they can do a tad better with their basil fried rice. Their snapper is to die for.

Diner Review №83

We had no expectations but spice of Thai turned out to be amazing! Ordered for take-out a few times now and this is one of the best Thai we had so far with amazing value for price! Thanks and keep it up!

Diner Review №84

Delicious food, fresh tasting

Not the biggest portion

I ordered the "spicy basil" Thai Hot but it was not spicy at all. Still good! But not what I ordered

Diner Review №85

One of my favorite Thai spots, service is ok, but the food always comes out great! Kids practically lick their plate clean every time!

Diner Review №86

Got a spicy basil fried rices (hot) for pick up. Got back to my hotel and I had no utensils... after hunting around to find some I open my food and the first bite of steak had the consistency of gum and my meal had absolutely no spice, like a raw tomatoe's level of spice.

Diner Review №87

Really great little place with excellent quality food with great taste! 😋

Diner Review №88

Mediocre food. Ok portions. Kept getting order incorrectly so we ended up cancelling last dish. There are better Thai food restaurants for this price Range in Alpharetta. Will not be returning.

Diner Review №89

The other reviews about this place were accurate! Beautiful decor, quiet, & delicious food. It’s a quaint food place with friendly staff. I had Thai Iced tea, Spring rolls, cheese rolls, & a vegetarian dish. It had egg plant, tofu, basil, & vegetables. I will say that at other places vegetarian dishes can lack flavor but not here. The sauce was on point and so tasty! Rice came with it also. So good! I give it a 10 out 10!!!

Stand outs fresh made Spring Rolls ( you can truly taste the difference) and the addictive chicken coconut soup. Along with good friendly service. Nice overall experience.

Diner Review №96

Excellent Thai food! My friends and I have been here several times and the food is always amazing.

Diner Review №97

OMG! What Great Thai restaurant! The Food was Excellent. The service was "Great" even though there was only one waitress taking orders and sitting everyone... she needed a 2nd person to help out! Our Food was "to die for". It was just Devine to visit there. Will definitely visit again.

Diner Review №99

Amazing Thai food in Roswell area. So glad we tried this place. Will definitely go back to try other dishes

Diner Review №100

I was super excited to try their food as I moved into the area.

I ordered a pad Thai medium, pad prik king hot, chicken satay and spring rolls of Uber eats. This was probably one of the blandest and old/stale tasting food.

Pad Thai was super clumpy and cold the tofu had a different taste. The chicken in the chicken satay was dry, spring rolls were too oily and the chicken in the pad prik king had no flavor the sauce was watery and chicken had taste of chili pepper but no other flavor. For $50 you can definitely find way better Thai food else where!

Diner Review №101

Awesome food!! Loved it!

Diner Review №102

The drunken noodles were very very good!

Diner Review №103

I've been coming here for years. It never disappoints. Best Thai food in the area! Always fresh, always hot.

Diner Review №104

Diner Review №105

This place is excellent. My family and I have come here a few times - service is great, the food is delicious/fresh/hot - and it is ALWAYS extremely clean in here everytime we come, which is a smaller detail we appreciate, especially when we dine in all the time

Diner Review №106

Diner Review №107

Visiting area. I’ve had some excellent Thai. If I come back I would not seek out eating here again. It not terrible. I’ve had much worse. Local palette does not appear to have much in local area to compare. Tom Yum soup was decent. Steamed dumplings was okay. The Pad Kee Mao would have been better had the beef not been overcooked and chewy. Could not swallow much of the meat. The iced tea was excellent tho. Worth a visit as your mileage may very… service was good.

Diner Review №108

Very nice. Closes early. When I went it was good service, easy going staff, food is pretty over priced had a small portion of fried rice and a water and with 20% tip I spent $45. Would only go back for environment and service.

Diner Review №109

Yum Woon Sen, fresh rolls, and their Thai coffee was so good , plus the waitress was very sweet.

Diner Review №110

The food here is some of the best Thai food in Roswell!! Delicious. I am a huge fan of their Red Curry and chicken satay.

Diner Review №111

Spring rolls- out of this world delicious. Pad Thai- tasty flavor but mushy noodles. Will be back to try curry!

Diner Review №129

First time customer, excellent Thai spicy fried rice with chicken!

Diner Review №130

Great service and food. Plenty of rice with no extra charge for additional. Will be returning.

Visited at 8pm. Sign said open but was stopped upon entering. They said they were closed.

Visited again at 8pm. They were open. We ordered our food. Food was good but wasn't the same taste as we have experienced before. Service was also good as well. Was told at 8:55pm while trying to finish my meal that I could not pay at the table and that I had to come up to the desk to pay before the register closes. Who has ever heard of the register closing automatically.

Diner Review №131

This is a nice Thai restaurant. I visited Rowell and decided to have dinner here. The service was good. The restaurant has nice deco, relax background music. It looks clean. Food was hot and delicious. I had chicken satay and drunken noodles. Price is reasonable. I would come here again.

I go here for their crispy honey duck. It's so flavorful that I wish it was a whole duck. I tried their spring rolls, dumplings, and wings appetizers along with their basil fried rice, which are all good too. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with any dish here.

Diner Review №138

Keep in mind your to-go food will be HOT so take it home and eat it, if you save curries for later chicken or pork may overcook while you wait.

Diner Review №180

Diner Review №181

Diner Review №182

I've been here twice now and can say I've enjoyed both visits. Both visits I had the spicy basil fried rice dish. The food taste good, but for my taste, a little less cooking oil when frying the rice would of been better.

Diner Review №183

Diner Review №184

Eat-in dining with courteous service and beautiful decor. I enjoyed Tofu Tod with spicy sweet sauce and Masaman Curry with tofu. Massaman Curry is the best I've had from any Thai restaurant I have visited. I will definitely be a return customer.

Diner Review №185

Came in for lunch on a Thursday. Very quiet and pleasant inside. First time here and I was not disappointed! It's rare I get to say that unfortunately when going out to eat and I am not even that picky. Anyway, this was quite tasty! My wife and I ate family style. We had a Masaman Chicken Curry which was very good and a Nua Num Tok. The Nua Num Tok is a "salad" of thinly sliced beef, red onion, green onions in a very yummy thai lime-chili vinaigrette with cabbage on the side. Highly recommended and will be back soon!

Diner Review №186

The food is good and the environment is very clean.

Diner Review №187

I had lunch with my family at The Spice of Thai, .

I’m definitely looking forward to going back!

Diner Review №194

My wife is Thai and has now found her favorite Thai food place in the Roswell/Marietta area. While we just did takeaway, I had a glance of the inside and the restaurant looks like it has a nice ambiance - which will be great for when things return to normal.

Diner Review №195

I really enjoyed the Drunken Noodle and spring rolls! So glad to see that you’ve reopened in your new location! I can’t wait to try more!

Diner Review №196

My favorite! Happy to see you guys back up and open! Check them out at the new location in the Kroger plaza!

Diner Review №197

I think on a normal day things would be better they were sold out on most of the menu items but I guess it's because of the Covid-19 situation. The staff is very nice and accommodating. I was disappointed to drive 15 miles and the red snapper was Out . Will definitely visit again.

Have been eating here for a while, always delicious!!
