Relaxed eatery providing typical Thai dishes such as drunken noodles & larb amid Asian-style decor.
I love good Thai food and Thai to me means curries. My favorite is typically Panang and that is what I ordered here. I had been to this place about 10 years ago but it has since moved into a nicer building. Too bad the colors inside are terrible. π
Service was just there. I was seated quickly and my order taken right away but there wasn't much engaging personality and the guy at the checkout barely looked up from his phone the whole time.
The Panang Curry was a disappointment to say the least. It's kinda watery thin and doesn't have a great texture in the mouth. It's also lacking in flavor. This is the same lack of quality we discovered here 10 years ago.
As a Thai curry lover, this place just doesn't do it for me. I won't be back. The only reason I came this time was convenience. I was hoping it had gotten better, but it hasn't.
Cheesy, weak atmosphere reminiscent of a typical Asian cuisine restaurant. Boasts to be authentic Thai, but it's closer to Chinese fusion. However, I would eat here over the usual Chinese mass produced dishes but it's not a favourite. If you are craving Thai and come here, stick with the traditional dishes like pad Thai or pad see ew. Nothing special but good if you're craving.
Edit: owner assumed I didn't like it. I clearly made honest points and said that it was alright but not special. This shouldn't warrant the owner telling me to go somewhere else. I can't help you, Ms. Proprietor, make improvements to your business, only provide honest reviews. However you lost a star under service for your bitter response.
Source: I've lived in South East Asia and been to Thailand. Thai is also one of my favorite cuisine. It's a high standard for myself and I know I don't share that standard with everyone, but if I'm being told to go somewhere else then I will.
What a great find in Conyers GA! Authentic Thai cuisine. Fresh vegetables and flavorful sauces. I had the Thai Basil Crispy Duck and it was delicious. We also had the spicy chicken fried rice and it was full of chunks brocoli and mix of vegetables. The soup was flavorful blend of lemon and spices
Ok the owner and the staff are very nice and helpful. Service is over the top. All the vegetables are fresh no frozen junk here. Sauce and food very delicious. Fresh made from scratch spring rolls and Rangoon rolls. I had the salmon yummy in the tummy and Mary had veggies with chicken and rice noodles. We also ordered our favorite house rice with vegetables. All is outstanding. They do serve adult beverages so dont let anything get in the way for trying Baan Thai. The restaurant was clean and quiet . Take your honey or friend you won't be disappointed. Follow me if you like I travel all over and veview most of the time.
Looking for good Thai food? Baan Thai is the place to be. The health score is excellent, in the 90s. The service provided is wonderful. The staff is very courteous and kind and patient. The food is spectacular. The calamari as an appetizer is absolutely amazing. No dipping sauce really needed. Also, the creamy crab soup is very tasty. And for the main course, the Seafood Kee-mao is absolutely amazing. The flavors of this dish are just beyond describing. Not just good, but GREAT. Just reading the ingredients of the different dishes alone is tantalizing. I will be back to try another! I definitely recommend Baan Thai for some excellent Thai food.
The food was tasty. Everything was freshly prepared and hot when served. The quality of the ingredients shows. The restaurant was clean, but it's not very large. The booths were a bit cramped.
The service was good but the food lacked flavor. Thereβs better Thai spots around
Good food but small portions for the price
Vegan options

Food was amazing! Services was great!
I was very disappointed with how they added a Tip to my carry-out order. I don't mind tipping. I actually gave the server a Cash-Tip of 20%, and after l requested a receipt for my order, which was paid in Cash, I noticed that the server included a 15% gratuity on my bill. So my issue is with this establishment for being deceitful, and not being honest. I will never conduct business with an establishment that operates in this manner. " BUYER BEWARE "
Excellent service! Food was delicious! This is one of the best spots in Conyers.

I ordered soup and spring rolls. Both of them excellent!
My second time visiting and my meal was better than the first time. Fresh vegetables and well-seasoned sauce greater a masterpiece out of my meal. Iβll definitely be going back whenever Iβm in Conyers.
Crab soup is great!
It feels less authentic. The move to the new location limits a street view to the main traffic, however the new building appearance is quite appealing. There is limited parking. I ordered masman Curry it's not listed in the options but it was very delicious. Although there are no noodles it's still a unique dish as well as the coconut soup. It's impressive.
Nice place. Excellent food. Our waitress was excellent and very accommodating and patient as we had a number of people with us who didn't speak English.
Very authentic, it is always the same staff and the owners are present. Every thing is very fresh. I almost cried when I saw they were temporarily closed. This is my go to Sunday dinner. The atmosphere is very nice and makes you feel like you are out of the county. Very nice decor. And CLEAN! Like spotless.
Ran across them the day before they closed for a 2 week break. Not sure if that was why. I ordered a fried tofu app and basil fried rice with shrimp. The rice was just that with veggies, nothing fried or seasoned about it. I ended up having to season it at home. Iβve never had to season or add anything to Thai food in my life outside of occasional soy sauce or plum sauce for spring rolls. Their sauce (for dipping the tofu and added to the side for the rice) was beyond watery. Iβm assuming itβs sweet and sour sauce but why so watery? Hidden fees βfor their staffβget added to your meal. Thought that would be nice to mention upfront. For a $12-14 entree and $5 app, no drink, plus tip, my meal was nearly $32, at lunch. No delivery service. Wild! Please tell ppl you add surcharges to support your staff in addition to customers tipping and not hide this. It feels very disingenuous.
Thanks for your reply. It feels a tad aggressive. Maybe you have me confused with another customer. I had no complaints when I entered. Words were minimum from your staff so thereβs no way youβre referring to me about pointing out a sign upon entry βwhen I complainedβ. I had no complaints at the time. I noticed the small hidden one on the register. No spices were requested nor received. I noticed the taste in food once I returned home so yep, no request for spices made in person. Hence, the review, after. Definitely wonβt be returning after a response like this. Thank you for responding publicly! I will definitely be finding other Thai places to dine and informing others.
I will never go there again.. the portions are smaller and way expensive.. we order pa Thai and veggie rice.. pa Thai was flavorless. I remember before two people could eat from that portion but now they just put a little bit and we paid over $ 30 dollars
We had wontons and salmon, both were fabulous. The rum almond cake was amazing.
Have been looking for a good Thai restaurant in Conyers and discovered this gem. Great food and service. Have them on speed dial and added to favorites π!
It's the best Thai food in the Henry Rockdale area. We've been going there for years after trying many other places. Always dependably delicious!
the 5% price addition for all takeout orders is insane . I had the calamari which was a bit underwhelming as it was not crisp even when it was fresh . The Thai tea tasted like sweet tea with milk . The Crab Cheese Rolls were delightful. The service was okay . I donβt think iβll become a regular . First impression was overpriced and underwhelming for to go orders
Best crab fried rice
Although the food taste outstanding, the service makes me not want to come here anymore. My wife and I sat down, and the waitress immediately asked us what we wanted to drink, which is no issue. She then came right back and asked if we were ready to order. We said no, then she started rushing us to order by coming few seconds and asking. We didn't have time to look at the menu. We ordered, and received our food fast, and we saw the waitress leave. Not once were we asked for refills, or if everything was alright. A guy came and gave us a check, and we asked where the waitress was, and he said that she left. Once again, the food is good, but I can't say that the service is the equal to the food.
The curry was pretty good, but not memorable. It was a bit too sweet for my taste. The server and atmosphere were very good. Very nice location.
We had Pad Thai and Massaman curry, both were excellent! Exceptional service also!
We did take out but the service was very nice. My two year old had a good time talking with everyone.
Great service and atmosphere, but the curry was pretty bland and tasteless. Will not be back. Better options in the area.
I have eaten the yellow chicken curry several times here. It definitely has changed after the pandemic. The price went up and the sauce is watered down and very bland. Iβve tried it several more times just to see if it was a hit or miss and itβs definitely a miss!
Tip is already included.
Food is amazing!! Service is very good and the staff is friendly. Will be going back.
Gave a 2nd chance, was decent food
Calamari was soggy
Excellent service and delicious food. Easy parking too. The pad Thai is terrific.
Too crowded did not wait.
Panang chicken is my favorite!
Food was fine, tasty. Not out of this world. A bit heavy on the oil. They were short staffed. Took almost 2 hours to get our food. They were busy and we had a large group, but they also seemed to have forgotten our order. Lots of apologies once we asked about it, but no offer to compensate our otherwise make up for it.
The food was great!
The people were pleasant as well.
Im pretty sure the music that was playing was Chinese but still a good vibe going on
I personally liked the pad thai noodles π
Delicious Thai food at reasonable prices
Delicious food!!!
They really need to step up the quality of chicken offered on the children's menu. They are so overly processed and overly flavored with onion powder. The kid's veggies roll aren't that great either. The main dishes are good, but I recommend working on the children's options.

Been here three times. Service is usually mediocre but food is okay. Last time we went a German roach was crawling up our booth. Staff came over and smashed on the booth where we were eating. How appetizing right. Not only did it disqust us but it disqust the couple dining behind us. Won't be back
Absolutely Delicious!!! The spring rolls melted in my mouth. The chicken Rama King was a wonderful surprise
Nice spot. Hidden from plain sight, but worth adding to my list of eateries. Had the crab soup and basil shrimp. They were both good enough to go back and try some more dishes. I would recommend this place.
The food here is terrific , however the customer service or business ethics is not . I come to this restaurant all the time and I usually pay on my visa .
Today I paid cash and I was charged a mandatory gratuity charge on a take out order . When I asked about the charge the response was everyone is doing it . Some places charge 20 percent . Iβm like ??? On a take out order ? Like I used my gas , my feet and my money and I must pay you a gratuity fee ? Doesnβt make sense . I wonβt pay it again .
I really wanted Thai food the other day. The food at Baan Thai is usually phenomenal but I tried the sweet ginger duck which was new for me. The flavor was delicious and rich but there were some parts of my duck that were dry and over cooked to the point were the sauce couldn't help. I didn't enjoy that at all. Also let it be known that they add a 10% additional fee for all take out and still ask for a tip. They don't tell you about the 10% they just hope you do math in your head..smh. I've never had a bad or mediocre experience here until this day. Check those receipts out there friends!
Food was bland EVERYTHING taste like nothing. Food took about 40 mins to arrive I will not be back.
My go toβ¦..for the crab rangoonβs, spring rolls, always fresh made to order what a great place to visit and pleasant customer service!!!!
Food is always so fresh!!!
Will never come back to this restaurant. Placed a to go order and was told 20 min wait time. Only to arrive within 20 min and have to wait an additional 25 min because the order was never submitted. Then charged a bogus gratuity charge for a to go order. Never again
I recommend the crab soup. Itβs my favorite! Everything tastes fresh and the food is top tier. I stopped going to other restaurants because this one spoiled me! The staff is nice and the customer service is awesome.
Alright!
Small, but neat and clean restaurant with authentic Thai food. Well prepared and delicious. My favorite is the chicken fried rice, spicy. Healthy portions served hot, with minimal wait time. I recommend this one!
Food is generally always good here. Service was good and efficient.
Iβve only gotten food from here once and it was the pad Thai. Honestly, Iβve had better. It was okay. Maybe I need to try something else from them.
The food was the worse thai food that I have ever had. Tofu had a burnt taste. Pad Si-ew was tasteless. Spring rolls was fair. Check your bill carefully they add on a gratuity automatically and you may end up giving them a double tip.
Nice experience. Food was okay. Nothing to write home about. Service was just okay.
This is, hands-down, the best Thai food east of Atlanta. A multi generational Thai family runs this professionally, cleanly, and outputs some of the best Thai dishes Iβve ever eaten. Do yourself a favor and check them out. (Spicy Thai Basil is to die for)
Have been here multiply times. The staff is wondeful and the food in exceptional. Nice and quaint location, can fit into an intimate evening for two or groups. Kids friendly as well
Great Food!!
Average for an American Thai restaurant
Just purchased spicy fried rice with chicken and spring rolls π Fantastic!!!! I will return as this was my first time trying this restaurant. Well worth the trip and I highly recommend!!!!!
Best place in town hands down.
I would suggest Thai Palace instead unless you enjoy very mediocre food. They had a 96 posted on the door but served me moldy Basil Duck. When I brought it to the server's attention, there was no apology or even comping of the meal. Thai Palace has much better food and service.
Very attentive service. Delicious food choices. Large portions. A very nice restaurant.
Five of us went to Baan Thai in Conyers for a celebration at lunchtime. We got there early at 11:45. The food was great. The waitress was not. She was kind, but once they drop the food off, we never saw her again. We tried to wave her down on three different occasions, and she never looked over at the table. I got up on two different occasions and had to ask for what we needed. Iβm not sure if it was not enough help or if she just didnβt know to check on tables after they got their food. I will go back because the food is so good. Iβll just be sure that we have extra waters, extra napkins extra sauces before she leaves the table the first time.
Worst place I've ever eaten at in my life and poor customer service!!
Others may like it but it wasn't for me!
Simply nasty food with poor customer service.
Loved it!! Kind staff. Curry puffs were phenomenally light and flaky. I had the Pad Kee-Mao, and it was also delicious! Will be back:)
First time here and we loved it!!!!
The spicy rice with chicken was Amazing!!!
I had the pad thai with chicken and medium heat, oh my lawd that was the best I ever had!! Too bad I live in Jacksonville Florida or I would visit this restaurant oftenππ
After reading the reviews... the responses from the owner makes you not even want to come try the restaurant!! Extremely unprofessional and nasty responses. I'll pass
Excellent food and service
The owner who we met while there takes great pride over the years in improvements to guest service.
Baan Thai is an excellent Thai restaurant. The food is always fresh and extremely tasty.
The atmosphere is laid back, and the service is top-notch.
This place makes absolutely delicious fresh food! My husband and I love this place and are never disappointed. We always feel satisfied, never over full or ick. And the staff is always so nice and attentive. A gem of Conyers!
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Conyers
The food isnβt good enough for the service to be this bad.
When we walked in, we were greeted with a βthereβs just 2 of you?β There was no βWelcome!β Or anything along those lines. It took about 10 minutes for someone to awkwardly take our order. There was no mention of the specials which I assume we were supposed to just know. When the waitress came over, she didnβt introduce herself, let us know sheβd be taking care of us or anything. All she said was βare you ready to order?β.
I ordered the bulgogi steak which is just ok. The fried rice is flavorless. The steak was cooked well and seasoned nicely but this is definitely not bulgogi. My husband ordered the pad Thai which honestly was nasty. It has a weird, perfumy taste to it.
** Editing to add that this βbulgogiβ sauce is the worst thing Iβve ever tasted. Itβs like the budget version of a grocery store version of bulgogi inspired simmer sauce. Itβs awful. And this fried rice is literally the worst. My 12 yo makes better fried rice then this. Hellβ¦ my 5yo probably could as well with no direction from me.
The Thai beer and saki were excellent.
The food is fantastic. My favorite Thai restaurant. This has been the best food I've eaten in a long time.
Hands down best food in Conyers.
My first time here and I came based on the reviews I read. I'm so happy I trusted the reviews. The portions are good, the flavor is on point, the veggies are fresh! I'll be back.
The food is absolutely delicious. The staff offers great service.
The food and service was excellent!
Hate to say this but, they have went up on the prices cut back on portion size, and even stopped serving shrimp chips with your meal. Prices to high and the portions are small.
Online prices are NOT correct !
Lunch prices say $9.00 I go to pick it up it was $12.00 Post your current prices ! And the portions are smaller than before but they charge more !
The restaurant was clean and quiet . Take your honey or friend you won't be disappointed. Follow me if you like I travel all over and veview most of the time.
The Food was Okay, the Service was Good.
The green curry is fantastic. There may be some cross contamination concerns for those with allergies. Very tasty, though!
Excellent Food, Excellent service. If you like Thai I recommend trying Baan Thai at least once.
Yummy, everything is prepared and served with flavor and care. Never disappointed. Thank you Baan Thaiπ«
Always consistent fast friendly service
Awesome food I got the vegetable fried rice then I ordered the shrimp chips thanks so much
The prices online were different from the prices on the menu in three restaurant. Coconut soup was salty and barely warm. Red curry chicken was lacking flavor and was not spicy, as the menu indicated. Very little chicken in the fish. I asked how many ounces of chicken and was told 6. I weigh all my meat, and there was not 6 ounces of chicken. Maybe 4 if I'm being generous. Would not recommend this restaurant.
Good customer service! But the soy sauce, duck sauce was watered down and food was bland.
I enjoyed my mother's day lunch. I like basil in my pad Thai and they don't use it, but it was good.
Portions and prices are good. Service was good. The ambiance is warm and friendly.
I didn't take pictures because the place low frills, like eating at home, except for the beautiful elephant decor hanging on the wall. I didn't take a pic of it because you should see it first yourself.
I thoroughly enjoy this peaceful place. They close between 3 and 4:30 though, so be prepared and schedule accordingly!
Horrible food and rude owner!
Ordered Pad Thai to go and the noodles have no flavor. I can understand if it sits a while and the noodles can absorb the flavor but this is like within 45 mins after I got the food but the worse part is, the rude owner when I called to tell her that it needs more sauce. Originally I didnβt want to write the review. I was going to just tell her what is wrong and hopefully she will make it better next time but when I called her, she got very defensive and wouldnβt let me talk. I didnβt want free food. I was just trying to tell her to add more sauce but the rude owner just wouldnβt stop justifying that her whole family came from Thailand and blah blah. I donβt care where they are from, I just want the food to taste like what I ordered! I NEVER go to this place again.
Spicy chicken with vegetables was delicious. the right amount of spice. Definitely a hidden gem in Conyers.
I had the Pad Kee Mao and it was delicious. They also had a great Thai tea. Definitely going to visit this restaurant again.
Baan Thai is the best Thai restaurant in the Conyers and Covington area. Delicious massaman curry. Good portion size. Picked up order but had to wait about 10 minutes.
Will update review when I dine in.
Baan Thai, is a delightful unexpected experience. 2017, was my fourth and most recent Thailand trip. Baan, is now my number 1, USA Thai food choice after having Thai in about 10 restaurants and 5 states. Excellent food and service.
This place did not open on time at 430 so they lost my business. I called them 15 minutes later (they finally answered the phone) and told the lady that they lost my business and that I went to Thai in the Box just down the street since they know how to open on time and she said she opened the doors on time.....i said i was knocking on your 10 min after 430. And she said "well whatever idk theyre open now."
People have no respect to customers these days and cant just apologize. This is Atlanta, theres plenty other thai places we can eat at.
Ordered the seafood pad kee mao. It came with exactly 1 scallop. I should have just ordered the shrimp version and saved myself $6. The flavor of the food was good. I got the extra hot and it was really enjoyable but it was hard to be satisfied with just one scallop. I ordered for take out so I wasn't able to just complain and give feedback on the spot.
I had low expectations for this restaurant since I have been to Thailand and I had disappointing experiences with Thai food in Georgia, however, I really liked the two dishes we ordered. Panang Salmon was excellent and I wish we had ordered two, however the tofu basil w rice was also very good. Low key, clean, and not busy made for a good dinner. Beware the prices on Google maps are not updated. Expect prices to be around $40 for two people dinner.
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in all of Atlanta. Great prices, fresh food and the best pad kee mao. My wife loves the Thai tea and the coconut soup.
Have eaten here a couple a times... food is very good and tasty. The restaurant is very clean and family own and ran.
Very yummy!
Updating my review. Its great to be busy, but donβt forget about people after seating them. Not my job to flag down a waiter.
Amazing food. Great Service.
Always good food and great service..probably one of the best restaurants in Conyers
Wonderful place to eat, especially if you like Thai food. You'll receive great service and good portions.
Food is always delicious and the staff is very nice!
Great food and professional staff
So great!
Good food and good service. Pretty authentic. I eat here a lot.
I have been in this restaurant many times. I always like the food so much, the restau6also nice, and service good. Very recommended
Absolutely delicious!!! About to become my new go to place!!
Yummy
Love me some Thai and this is the best!!
Great food and service! π
Great. We started out with the satay chicken. The peanut sauce was delicious. Then I ordered the green curry. Just the right amount of spice and the veggies were tender. Ended with a Thai tea. It was the perfect sweetness. Highly recommend.
So glad there open inside!! Food was delicious. Blackened Grouperππ»ππ»
This was our first time eating Thai food. I had the yellow shrimp curry and hubby had the curried fried rice. The food was delicious and the portions were large. The service was nice and a clean atmosphere overall. I highly recommend trying it out. Fresh, fast, freindly service.
Yeah! Back to pre-pandemic quality! They struggled during the pandemic and it showed with smaller and smaller amounts of meat in each dish and less vegetables. But, I am happy to say the Thai Garden Chicken and Ginger Chicken we had tonight were excellent. Lots of chicken and veggies in both dishes and cooked well. If you had a disappointing experience prior to things reopening, give them another try. This was always a favorite spot before the pandemic, and we hope their business will be even better than before.
I am sorry but. Awfull the food bad very very bad. The only thing good was my wife fried rice and it wasnt so good. I ask de red curry it was suposed to be spicy and it wasnt. The spring roll doesnt have any flavour. I ll never go again to that place they should be ashamed of sayin that is thai food.
Lo siento la comida horrible el curry que supuestamente picaba no pico nunca un olor feisimo. Nunca mΓ‘s regresarΓ©.
My fav place in all of Conyers. Delicious.
The Asian staff is great but they have a white girl that works there and she's rude on the phone and she doesn't put napkins and utensils in the bag when she brings out the food.
