My partner and I went out to Nan for the first time on Valentine's Day 2025 and the experience was nothing short of phenomenal. The service was timely and very organized. The food itself was spectacular; the flavor profiles and pairings were all spot on and made for an unforgettable dining experience. We can't wait to come back!

Diner Review №5

You guys definitely fooled a lot of people on Valentine’s Day. That was very wrong for you to do. For one, nobody knew that the menu was preselected. For two, the bill was just ridiculous for that nasty, small meal that didn’t even fill anyone up. A small bite size watermelon for appetizer, nasty soup , and one small piece of rib? For 325? That’s insane! I will never return!

Diner Review №6

To the owner,

I mean you have to be kidding with those portions at that price for Valentine's day. Sure, I'm sure you made a ton of revenue with how busy you were, but was that worth losing your reputation with the customers?

For people reading this review,

On Valentine's day they had a pre-selected menu with a price set at 125$/person (with mandatory gratuity) which came out to be about 325$ for two people. There were 4 courses with each course being about two or three tablespoons worth of food. Probably about 500-600 calories total for the dinner, per person.

What a shame.

To say our experience was underwhelming would be an understatement. Party of 4 with a reservation, at first they couldn’t find our reservation. Eventually they found it. We sit down to a table with 3 chairs, and had to ask for another chair, as we were a party of 4! We see the Valentine menu is placed in front of us, but at no point did we expect this to be the only option. This information was NOT disclosed when the reservation was made, none of the emails explained this nor did anyone say anything to us when checking in. Also, there was nothing posted stating there was a preselected menu.
Our friend who had been there before asked if we could order off of the original menu and was told we could not. We decide to look Into possibly leaving and going somewhere else but everywhere was booked with no reservations available. So, we stayed!
We get our pre selected food items and they look like something you would get on a cruise. The portions were extremely small and every course was gone in 3-4 bites. We all just sat there like this couldn’t be actually happening! Oh but then the bill comes! $125/person with a 40% tip added. I think my heart stopped beating! This was absurd, there is no way that little of food was that much!!!! And a 40% tip??? She refilled our WATER like two times. Angry doesn’t even describe it. We were all so befuddled we paid and left. NEVER will we go back! Yall are wrong for what yall pulled tonight on so many people. You should be ashamed!

I always enjoy going to Nan but please make sure that if you order the still water, let the server know if you only want one bottle! Our server did not ask if we wanted another bottle. She saw our glasses were empty and bought another bottle out. She was so quick we did not get a chance to stop her. Also, the Thai basil fried rice is good but we did not know it came with chicken ( we only eat seafood). The server asked if we wanted a side of it but we did not catch it until after that this meant an upgrade. We sent it back to get it without chicken and it was the same upgraded price $12 even without the chicken. We will just stick to the regular rice going forward at no additional charge. Our server was like a salesperson and she was not playing about getting you to order extra items. The food was good but it just does not seem as it used to be years ago but we will still keep supporting. Also the prices keep going up. Many items now have MP (market price) covering the original pricing. We just stayed away from those because we knew it would be crazy. Gratuity is added so we spent over $200 for two people. We had two appetizers- two bottles of still water and two entrees with the rice upgrade.

Food was delicious and service was excellent, I wish I knew about the dessert are not homemade before we order two of them. We will be back for sure.
If you’re going make sure to dress properly following their rules, no tank top or hats or sports clothes although a girl at the next table was wearing a bright pink lululemon outfit, I don't know how seriously they take the rules.

Diner Review №11

There's nothing 'fine" about this place. Terrible food and service.

Diner Review №12

Was in the city for an all day conference so stopped by for an early light dinner with a group of 8. Myself and another guest ordered rice and curry from the ‘sides’ portion of the menu as we only wanted something light to eat. The waitress, Tina, asked if we wanted to add meat and so I added chicken to mine and my friend shrimp to hers assuming it would just be a few extra dollars more. At the end of the meal, the bill comes out and we see Tina put completely different meals on the check for us. My side of jasmine rice and green curry was now listed as the full entree priced chicken massaman and my friend’s was now listed as Panang talay.
We stepped away from the table and spoke with the manager and the waitress to discuss the switch and neither were helpful. They told us because it was on the check they couldn’t take it off even though it was not what we ordered. We then asked them to discount it because it was now triple what we were even anticipating paying due to the waitress’ blatant lying. Tina then proceeded to walk away in a huff and tell the rest of our party (who was unaware of the situation at that point) that we couldn’t afford to pay our bill in an attempt to humiliate us when that was not the case at all. The manager and waitress were also laughing at us as though we didn’t belong there. There was no accountability, no apology and we were met only with gaslighting to cover up Tina’s intentional act to overcharge us. It definitely felt racially motivated. Terrible service and terrible management.

Diner Review №13

We dined here tonight to celebrate my son’s 13th birthday and the experience was disappointing!
He loves Thai food, Pad Thai being his favourite noodle dish- and that was all he wanted for his birthday. However, the Pad Thai here is the worst I’ve ever had. All the reviews saying it is WAY 599 sweet are absolutely right. It was SWEET like dessert, the noodles were tough and it smelled funny. We’ve been to Thailand plenty of times and have had pad Thai from fine dining to street food and never had a pad Thai we didn’t like so that is definitely saying something.
Service was terrible- the lady who seated us was flustered, we switched tables because the table they gave us was too small. The server was confused- the food came out without the appetizer leftover trays and plates being taken away first- we were asked multiple times by the person bringing the food to the table to move things around to help him. That is NOT how fine dining service works. The chairs were uncomfortable.
The server also insisted on bringing 2 bottled waters- and although we only drank out of one and still had some left over we were charged for 2!!
20% gratuity is included in your bill for a reason- because the food and service are subpar.
Felt completely SCAMMED paying $250 for a less than average experience.

Will not be returning nor recommending to anyone.

We have been many times and enjoy the restaurant. I was making Valentines reservations and excited to see that they did not have a pre-fix menu. Unfortunately, it is just not communicated well. It is sent as a message the day after you make the reservation. I'm not sure what happens if you're within the 72 hour cancelation. Anyways, hope this helps someone else, the email is below.

Nan's Fine Dining has been a staple for me since moving to ATL in 2021. The food is consistently excellent, and Harry is hands down the best bartender. Always a great experience!

Diner Review №17

The inside of the restaurant is nice and inviting. This is the only nice thing.
We are big fan of thai food in general and we didn't like what we had : the curry was extremely sweet.
Every single thing on the menu (drink or dish) is extremely expensive.
We felt a lot of pressure by the waitress to order drinks and appetizers that we didn't want.
I would not recommend this place for thai cuisine. Because of the quality of the food does not match the price.

So this review is specifically for one particular dish called the “KAI YANG MASSAMA” and Nans hostess seeming inability to get over-the-phone orders correct. This is the third time it’s happened. I typically only get the lamb chops and a few other appetizers when I go, the lamb chops are some of the best I had.

This curry was not good to me nor my partner. I’m honestly upset with myself and here’s why: Nans Hostess seem to have a hard time understanding orders over the phone . This is probably the 3rd time now where I’ve ordered pick up and my order was wrong because some way, some how this lady heard “grilled chicken” along with the 2 orders of lamb chops I specifically ordered. At this point i wonder if they do it on purpose, but I’m going to be civil and just say it’s a language barrier. I did bring this up to the hostess but they were about to close, I was tired and asked her of a description of the dish because I was honestly just going to take it home. Something else to try I guess. I didn’t like it at all. It made me and my partner feel sick not because anything went bad, but just the curry itself? I’m not familiar with curries at all but this definitely tasted like vomit in my mouth. Could be a weird thing like how some people can’t stand cilantro (me). Just make sure if you order to go, you state it clearly and ALWAYS get a refund unless they accidentally add lamb chops to your order.

Diner Review №20

EXCELLENT experience. Everything was perfect. I would give the thumbs up to all service, mood, pricing, taste, portion. It was not hugely packed at 6:30pm Friday. I would say 60% tables. It was our family night out in 2 years because of pandemic situation, and we made a perfect choice by picking this place!!!

I CAM BACK!! This time we wanted to show thanks to one of our friends’ family. It was a perfect night. Server was very friendly and attentive. Food was so good that we could not keep talking about them throughout the dinner time. The signature espresso bean old fashioned had the real smoke flavor and smell. Highly recommended!!!

Diner Review №21

Went here for my anniversary. Great food overall, I wish the tom yum soup portion was larger! The appetizer “tree” is a must. The panang curry was alright. The atmosphere of this place was awesome!

Diner Review №22

Overall, I felt this was overpriced for the quality of the dinner. The Tom Yum soup was full of flavor but just warm, not hot. The sea bass presentation was very nice. But the sea bass was over cooked and thus not very flavorful. The other entry was the red snapper. Again very nice presentation but overcooked and not near enough of the very nice 3 spice sauce, which when I asked for some extra to take home with the snapper I didn't finish they eagerly provided for an additional $6. I found this hard to believe after spending close to $300 on dinner and then a charge for extra sauce? Would we come again, probably not....

The waitress was very attentive; my glass of water was never empty. The appetizer platter was tasty. I really enjoyed the basil rolls and calamari. My entree was the Kung Pad Thai. Diner Review №41

TLDR:
Pros: The food was flavorful.

Cons: The staff is clearly racists and performing acts that are both illegal and immoral. I will never go back. The staff here is ridiculous, their auto-gratuity post tax is illegal and their use of it on us appeared discriminatory.

The long story:
My Dad was visiting. I wanted to take him around to different places to try more cultured food. I'd been here once before and enjoyed the food, so I thought I'd bring my father to try. Our server was attentive, the food all came on time, my drink was good.

When it came time to pay the bill, everything started to get strange. We first sat for about 20 minutes after finishing our meal, declining desert and after the table had been cleared. We of course, asked for the bill and sat for another 10 minutes. At the 30 minute mark, I'm both annoyed and confused; since Nan has an open kitchen, I can see our server running around and chatting to others. He wasn't assisting other tables or running food so I was confused why bringing the bill wasn't as simple as just printing it out and bringing it to us. When the bill finally comes the server has auto-added 20% gratuity to the post tax bill. (Mind you, my father and I are black but we weren't dressed like hobo's nor any less formal than anyone else. I guess they assumed we weren't going to properly tip..?) Well, they picked the wrong table that day- my father and I both have advanced degrees and quickly spotted the addition to the bill. When my father confronted the server and asked why the 20% was added and added at all and especially added to the POST TAX amount, suddenly our server who was previously able to answer all our questions and explain the menu in great detail became unexpectedly unable to speak and made us wait at the table another 15 minutes whilst he ran around again asking everyone about the bill and looking for someone to speak on his behalf.

No one came to our table after that.

At this point, we've been waiting patiently to pay the bill for 45 minutes, my father's patience grew very thin. So, he walked first to the host desk to get a menu and then to the computer where our server was standing amongst the other employees. [Auto gratuity is not mentioned anywhere in their menu- not for tables of 6 and especially not for tables of 2. Legally, you must mention the plan and the amount of the expected auto-gratuity before you add it to a customer's bill, if you expect them to pay it. If a restaurant does not mention the addition in advance, then the customer is not required to pay it.] At the desk, the server said he auto-adds the 20% to every check and all the employees acted dumbfounded and aloof to the fact that the "computer" had added the amount Post Tax... it was ridiculously frustrating. My father continued to talk to the team, the manager said they could not remove the gratuity. Fine, my father had cash- they refused to accept. his cash since it was our bill less the auto-gratuity. Finally, my father threatened to call the police. Ahhh, and like magic, suddenly, the computer was magically able to remove the gratuity. The manger was able to make change and suddenly willing to accept his cash. Out of no where, our server was able to speak again... (Its clear the managers all know what they are doing is illegal so they quickly made adjustments the second calling the police became a serious option.) Ultimately, this bill paying fiasco took a fully hour!!!!!! When it was all said and done they then refused to give my father a copy of the bill. We paid our bill and left.

I will never go back.
The staff here is ridiculous, their auto-gratuity without informing customers is illegal and calculating the gratuity post tax is just cringe and immoral. Their use of these practices against my father and I felt discriminatory; we didn't deserve that type of treatment and we will never be back to be subjected to such ignorance ever again. I will continue to tell everyone about the horrific experience we had visiting this place. NEVER AGAIN!

Diner Review №44

Excellent spot for Thai food & an upscale comfortable setting with good service. Only criticism is the print on the menu is too small for the low lighting in the evening..

Diner Review №45

The food is below average and over sweetened.

The ambience at this restaurant is nice, and the service is decent, but the food is wildly overpriced for what you get—and it’s far from authentic Thai. I ordered the Massaman curry, and it was a disappointment: overly sweet, missing the classic potatoes, with overcooked chicken and a pile of string beans to fill out the bowl. For what they charge, you’d expect quality and authenticity, but this place falls short on both. If you’re willing to pay high prices just for the atmosphere, go for it—just don’t come here expecting true Thai flavors or value for your money.

Diner Review №46

Out of expectation. Very nice service and welcoming introduction of the dishes. The plating is very cute. The Pad Thai is recommended. The very last desert is coconut sticky rice with coconut ice cream. This is my first time trying palm seed, very interesting taste.

Diner Review №47

Excellent Restaurant especially the Service, The food amount should be more plentiful.

Diner Review №48

Diner Review №49

An interesting on Thai food but personally, I would rather pay half the price and get regular shareable Thai food. I didn’t particularly love my entire (pad Thai with tiger shrimp) or find any of the dishes extraordinary. The coconut cake was definitely the best.

Diner Review №50

I had a reservation for a business dinner for 4 guests. I had 2 more joining the party and I called to notify Nan. The restaurant said that I needed to agree to a $75 per person charge or they could not seat a party of 6. This was for an early dinner and the restaurant was not busy. We had plans to have drinks and dinner, but the fact that I needed to commit to $75 per person is ridiculous. We absolutely would have spent $50 a person, but the forced commitment is insane. Unfortunately there was no other restaurant near the venue we were going to after dinner, so we still went to Nan and sat in the bar. The bartender was running around all night when they could have just seated us at a table and made his life easier. I still spent $375 after tip, but the $450 commitment they wanted is really ridiculous.

Server was sketchy. We asked for the cheapest Cabernet since we aren't true wine connoisseurs. She led us to a 120 dollar bottle claiming it was the best deal. We ended up with a 60 dollar bottle and it was perfect for us. Then she poured bottled water without even asking if we wished to purchase. Lastly, she added 20 percent tip to the bill and we were a party of 2. Nope. I had a chat with the manager and he corrected it. The food tasted very good but the portion was kinda short for a 40 dollar price .

This place is a MUST TRY in Atlanta. I had dinner here and I have nothing bad to say. I started at the bar and the bartender was super friendly and very well educated on the menu and their craft. They recommend some craft martinis that weren’t on the menu and they were DELICIOUS! Super friendly and very inviting. When I moved over to the table for dinner, my server was friendly and kept smiling. She informed us of the specials and her personal favorites, once again very knowledgeable about the menu. Our food came out quick as well as our drinks. The food was amazing and the portion sizes were perfect. I’ll definitely be coming back to try some more menu items!

Diner Review №63

The wine and food pairing worked well together. I had the masaman curry, basil rolls , and carrot cake. The curry dish was 100% delicious ! The basil rolls were bland without the sauce. The carrot cake do not order! I had the cake boxed to go since I was stuffed. So I didn’t try it until later. This icing tasted like grease🤢. Flavor of the cake is not strong and was on the dry side. The recipe should be used for a loaf bread so you can add a little butter.

Dinner was absolutely delicious, ambience left something to be desired. We were party of 6 celebrating a birthday, so it was more than a typical dinner out. Though the restaurant wasn’t crowded it felt like all the occupied tables were crammed into the same area. Some of the glassware could have been cleaned with a bit more care. I found lipstick on my martini glass.

As for the food, it’s some of the freshest I’ve had in Atlanta. Thai food has never tasted this good. You have to start with the appetizer tree. It’s the best way to try most of the starters on the menu. I recommend the Kai Saim as a main dish. Such delicately crispy chicken!

Nan Thai Fine Dining: A Must-Try, Even for Takeout!

During our visit to Atlanta for a concert, we were looking for a great dinner spot and stumbled upon Nan Thai Fine Dining. Since we were staying at the Kimpton Shane Hotel, it was only a five-minute walk away, but we didn’t dine in as we hadn’t packed the proper attire. Instead, we ordered through DoorDash, and it was a seamless experience.

The food was absolutely delicious, and now I’m already planning to dine in next time for the full experience. They even packed the calamari perfectly so it wasn’t soggy by the time we got back to our room—little touches like that make this foodie's heart flutter. I ordered the lamb shank, and by golly, the meat was falling off the bone—utter perfection!

If takeout is this impressive, I can’t even imagine what dining in would be like. Nan Thai Fine Dining has a fan in me, and I’m already counting down until my next visit to Atlanta! Highly recommend.

We ordered a couple of Nan’s Tasting Trees and one was a vegetarian version. I ordered their Surf & Turf special (filet mignon and lobster).

At the end, we were greeted by the kind owner and she allowed me to take a picture of her.

I love this restaurant. I go there frequently with my husband. Recently, we interacted with a waitress called “Jess” and she mislead us with the menu! I wanted the regular Salmon meal and then she mentioned they have a salmon special that includes one other item. She neglected to tell me it was double the cost. We ended up spending close to $400 for a meal that should have been $200. I am very disappointed with how pushy and misleading she was with the menu!! Please be careful if you interact with a server named “Jess” you will end up spending way more than you anticipated. However the food is excellent!!!

We visited this place for corporate lunch. The food I ordered was nice but some other colleagues had mixed opinions on that. The atmosphere and environment was mostly peaceful but one would expect more from a restaurant at this level and price.

Something that came as a surprise while looking through the final check was that they charge a higher amount than in the menu, I guess hoping you don't notice. When asked about it, they just say they made the portion larger for us without us ever asking for it or mentioning it while ordering. Also, we were charged 6-8$ per cup for the regular water they offer you right away. So, lack of transparency in pricing it seems.

You can expect to spend around $100 for a moderate selection of food per person (nothing fancy and no alcohol), which is not an issue if the place delivers appropriate experience, but we thought it didn't. And all our colleagues decided not to come here again or not refer anyone.

Diner Review №97

I always enjoyed my dining experience at Nan, and I go for the red snapper. However, the service for this experience left nothing to be desired. The service was like fast food experience with a +$200 price tag. As we sat down the waitress came and get the drinks and appetizers order, we ordered the sample plate that came very fast, as we started to eat or appetizers, she came back for or entrees order, I told her that I would like to enjoy my appetizers before ordering, she proceeded to say that the turn around in the kitchen is very long, and if we don't order now it will be a long while before we get or food. Well, she lied 🤥, the food was at our table in less than 10 minutes, so it was hurry up and moved the appetizer plate and here is your food. There's no way, maybe the food was just pre -cooked and seating in the back, she came back and asked me if I wanted my food boxed or still working on it, at this point I said boxed it because I lost my appetite. Yes I did leave a tip, because I don't want order people to lose in case tips are shared. But my impression of this place have changed.

Diner Review №98

Diner Review №99

We mistakened this restaurant for another thai restaurant and we cam underdressed (our fault), however they did not tell us that and they sat us down away from the majority of people there and said "it's much cooler on this side". Once I asked the waiter if there was a dress code he said yes but we are slow so won't turn people away and would not seat us in the main area. Once we realized this, we felt very uncomfortable and would rather have been turned away to be more accepted elsewhere. The food was not bad and I left a 20% tip on a $282 bill for 3 people. We understand if there is a dress code but the way we were handled and the condescending woman that seated us saying it was because it's cooler in that area made us feel belittled. So we will not return and think it is better to turn people away than make them feel like this. But they were slow and still wanted our business.

Diner Review №100

I think their Signature lamb dish is reheated before serving rather than freshly made, which makes potato too raw (probably added when reheating) and lamb too salty and overcooked (they might have stayed several nights for this saltiness). Lamb takes time to cook so it’s understandable to precook lamb dish but at least you gotta have good quality for the price, especially if you listed as a signature dish.

We dined here for a work event (group of 7). Bar has a good assortment of cocktails and wine, bourbon / whiskeys. Appetizers included chicken satay, veg spring rolls, calamari, chicken dim sum, fried okra - of these, the calamari and okra were solid, followed by the chicken satay. Entrees included lobster pad Thai, scallops, salmon, I got the lobster tail with tender short ribs in massaman gravy (fantastic), pineapple fried rice (veg). Everything was cooked well and tasted pretty authentic to how it would taste in Thailand. Dessert was average - chocolate cake with Thai tea flavored ice cream. Service was super slow but courteous when it arrived so plan your time and order accordingly.

Diner Review №102

Nice restaurant in midtown Atlanta, excellent dishes, good atmosphere, and overall good service, although it was annoying that our waiter insisted on recommending more expensive options for literally everything we ordered (but this may have been just our waiter).

Amazing in every way ♥️

Diner Review №104

We stumbled upon this place while exploring the area and boy we were surprised. Wonderful flavors and fresh ingredients.

Food, drinks, and service were top tier!

What an amazing experience! Perfect flavour. Perfect service!

Absolutely fantastic!

Diner Review №108

Food was horrible. Dropped from the "Go To" list forever. If you know and understand Thai food and flavors, you'd be disappointed with he way the food quality has deteriorated here. Nothing tastes like authentic Thai. Simply spending money on ambience with bad food won't work. Bad food, less portions. BIG DISAPPPOINTMENT.

This is what I say every time I go there, "Mmmmmm.. mmmmm... mmmmmmmmmm omg that's so good.. mmmm"
PS: Get their appetizer platter, makes sense for the price and quantity. The salmon and lobster tail are amazing. Their chocolate mouse is insanely good.

Diner Review №113

Such a disappointment. Just stopped in for light refreshments and a drink before a play. When I arrived to the door I opened it but it was locked so I tried the second door which was open. Mind you I saw people seating at a table from the parking lot so thought nothing of it. Once I walked in I was greeted by an older woman that seems disgusted by my presence. I said hello and she stated “we are closed” mind you in a nasty tone. I said oh okay what about the bar? No we are closed!!! And walked me back to the door and locked it.This left me and my two guest very embarrassed. Wow! I was really looking forward to dining here.

Ate here with some colleagues last night. Best Thai food I’ve ever eaten & I have been to Thailand!

Superb wines to match too.

Highly highly recommend this place!

Very nice service staff chef Nan!

Diner Review №118

A good place for Thai and they are good for some of the dishes. The lamb shank is a must to try however not impressed with their lobster special and the salmon was over cooked. The atmosphere is very good and the service was very good

Diner Review №119

Check your receipts!

Took a friend here to celebrate his new job. After the meal, I paid the receipt that I was given with everything listed correctly and we left. I am soon bombarded with phone calls about how I paid the wrong receipt and that they voided my initial transaction. Apparently, they used my card to pay someone else’s receipt. Honest mistake that’s usually handled by the restaurant, but clearly not at this restaurant . They then demanded that I pay over the phone the correct receipt. First, the waitress called from her personal phone and texted the correct receipt; she then asked me to give her my card number. I refused. I then called the restaurant’s direct line who also echoed what the waitress said and demanded I pay over the phone and I would receive the voided transaction back in 4-6 days. The restaurant then had the audacity to ask if I would tip the waitress.
After I made the second transaction (putting me out of pocket almost $400), the restaurant gave me some rushed boilerplate language how I would receive a call from the manager, an email to confirm the second transaction, and a credit. To date, I haven’t received anything.

To say that this was piss poor customer service is an absolute understatement. The initial transaction should not have been voided and it just should have been considered a loss. Hounding me like I’m an animal who did not pay for the meal at all is humiliating. I will not be coming back, so do not bother reaching out to me now.

PS: Pour some bleach in the kitchen drains. The excessive gnats are embarrassing.

Dear Nam Thai,

I was excited about ordering dinner from your midtown Spring street location. I ordered a calamari appetizer, a beef special and a basil fried rice - and thought I was going to get a nice dinner for my wife and I - to my surprise for 86$ it was basically really just a single portion and it was cold with open carry out containers that did little to keep any heat in - to my ten minute drive to home. We were really underwhelmed and sad at the size and quality of what we received - especially given the cost!

We know your food is always better in person but feel we’re going to take you off our list of a go to quality restaurant in Atlanta. Sad to say.

Just saying …

Paul

Food is delicious...service is satisfactory and the atmosphere is kinda bland so don't expect a lively atmosphere and the drinks are extremely expensive, food is also expensive but worth the price

Diner Review №124

Eaten here twice past year. Both experiences top notch!

Diner Review №125

Consistently excellent! The staff is as good as the food! They are generously gregarious and effervescent! There is nothing on this menu that you will not thoroughly enjoy. The culinary excellence is out of this world. It is my go to restaurants for events and for friends and family in town. I absolutely love it.

Diner Review №126

Went here for a celebratory dinner. We used to come here for all of our big events, but we will no longer come back.
Waitress was inattentive, and absent for long periods of time even though the restaurant was mostly empty.
Food took ages to come out.
Most importantly, the actual dishes themselves did not taste good. The food quality has severely decreased over the years. They are skimping on ingredients and the flavor did not hit the mark.
Would not recommend.

Overall this place was disgusting. I’ve had better food at hole in the wall Thai places then this. Not only is it overpriced 25$ for a basic margarita. The food had no flavor was tasteless. I would not recommend.

Only because it was our anniversary and the waitress ran us down for a bigger tip and made us feel like we were obligated to give her. She was truly a horrible waitress. We waited forever for our food and when I got mines it was the wrong thing so I ended up ordering appetizers as my meal. She made my Anniversary dinner feel so horrible 😤

If you like Thai this is the place to go. The food is delicious and is artfully presented. We’ve been multiple times and never disappointed. I’m sure all wait staff I are wonderful but Jess is our favorite. She is knowledgeable about food prep and makes you feel welcomed. Love this place. Mona and Phill

The decor of the restaurant was different & outstanding! The staff was very friendly. The food is awesome! I highly recommend the wild caught lobster tail & geah yang. I will definitely be back to taste more.

Diner Review №137

Probably the worst Thai food outside of Thailand. The curry was way too sweet, the appetizers were cheaply made, the Larb was dry, the two fish they had was deep fried with a very cheap over sweet sauce, and the lemongrass desert taste of everything but lemongrass. And all of that at a high price under the pretense of find dining.

Oh and the waitress brought the check while we were still eating, which I thought was extremely rude.

Diner Review №140

Amazing food, people working actually speak Thai and gave amazing service. Im from Thailand and it is always a struggle to find great Thai food, but this was an amazing experience. They even made us vegetarian food out of the menu.

Diner Review №141

Been to Nan Thai a few times now and forgot to leave a review but I thought better late than never! Service is always great and the atmosphere is very romantic. The exterior of the restaurant is very quiet and nonchalant but the inside is gorgeous. I came for my birthday the second time around and for dessert they drew a little "N" in frosting for my name (so cute!!). The Thai Tea Crème Brûlée is a MUST try and the drinks are also delicious. This is also a random side note but the bathrooms (not pictured) are gorgeous LOL so I encourage everyone to peek at it before you leave.

Diner Review №142

The appetizer platter, the cocktails, 3 entrees including the seafood special and crème brûlée were just fantastic. I could give the food a 6/5 if I could. Parent said it was the best Thai food they have ever had.

Took two very close friends that I haven’t seen in awhile out for a special catch up. From the moment we walked in and greeted by Lizzy (asked for her name while leaving) to and throughout dinner service with Ronald, the overall experience was superb. Ronald was so refined, explaining every detail. Impeccable service. The plates were all amazing work of art and delicious. There’s truly nothing to complain about. Will come back again without question.

Diner Review №149

My husband and I went to Nan Thai last night for dinner; we were celebrating his birthday but I felt like it was my birthday too! We don’t eat Thai food often, but Nan Thai hands was by far the best That restaurant we have ever been to. From the moment we walked in our dining experience began. Our server Anamaki (please forgive me if I misspelled her name) was so good, she knew the menu, made recommendations, and asked if we had any food aversions. When I told I had a gluten intolerance, she immediately offered a substitute.
I had gluten free spring rolls, lemongrass soup with seafood, and lobster Pad Thai. My husband had lobster coconut soup, calamari, and an entree full of seafood, with an ample sized lobster tail—everything was expertly seasoned, without the need for salt or pepper. From the first bite, oohs, aahs, abounded; between what I ordered and what my husband ordered we were equally pleased. There was no long wait for our food to arrive, the wait staff cleared our table frequently, and water glasses were never empty. I tend to go on and on in my reviews for a reason- when I give five stars I want to tell you why. Everything about this restaurant lived up to its Nan Thai Fine Dining name. A day later we are still talking about the meal! My anniversary is in April, I have already booked my reservation.Lastly, dessert was good- Creme brûlée, caramel flan and coconut ice cream. A nice, creamy way to end the best meal we’ve had in a long time. Thank you Nan Thai for the wonderful evening. We’ll see you soon.

We booked a reservation on Valentine's day at 8:15. We arrived a few minutes early. We were not seated at 8:35 so I asked the hostess how much longer we were expecting to wait. She said my reservation was for 8:45 (not the case) and that the other hostess just gave our table to someone else. We were seated shortly after that. Not a huge deal. We ordered the pre-set 4 course menu and the food was fantastic but we feel the package was over priced. We probably could have saved money by ordering off the menu. Those two things are the reason I'm giving 4 stars. Service after being seated was great. Food was delicious. When we got the bill, there was a 20% gratuity applied. I almost didn't catch that. Again, no big deal, just be aware of that. Overall it was a good experience and we will be back.

Diner Review №153

We had an amazing time at this restaurant. The food was fresh, hot and served quickly. They had the entire place decorated for Valentine’s Day in cute decor on the ceilings and tables. Our server Ronald even took photos of me and my hubby for our special day and brought me birthday dessert, he was awesome! I’d definitely recommend 10/10 we will be back soon ☺️

Diner Review №154

Everything about this Restaurant is 5 Star! The Food, The Ambiance and of course the Service! Been Coming to Nan Thai For Over 15 years Now! Still One of My Top Choices for Restaurants in Atlanta!

Diner Review №155

My experience here was amazing. First it was easy to update my reservation. This was the first green flag. Then, the server was just amazing. He made sure he broke down the menu with all details and answered all questions. The dish I had was one of the specials for the night recommended by the server and it was DELICIOUS 🤤. Since it was my birthday, I got a complimentary coconut icecream and let me say it was the best coconut icecream I’ve ever had 🥰

Diner Review №156

Ambience was just average. Waitress named Nui was below average. She had no personality for a supposedly 5 star restaurant. She could have cared less if we were there on our anniversary. We didn’t have a chance to order wine with our meal after cocktails before entrees arrived. Poor experience for an expensive meal night.

Diner Review №157

For the most part it was good. Need to expand my palate and find the right meal at Nan Thai.

Diner Review №158

This quality of food is not worth the price tag. You don't even serve wild caught salmon yet you charge such a high price. Extremely disappointed with the taste of the food. Definitely not worth the price. It does not compare to what it used to be

Diner Review №159

Great atmoshere, great food, great service. This is a great date night place. Semi-quiet, great service and the food is fun and different. Make sure to try the desserts!

Diner Review №160

Had a 7:30 reservation for my anniversary and was told to sit at the waiting area since they couldn’t force other customers out because of the cold weather.

I understood and didn’t mind waiting, but then the receptionist came to the waiting area and told us that instead of finding us a table, she would suggest just serving us at the waiting area and said that they can’t deal with the complaints, so either we just settled at the waiting area or we wait however long till someone leaves. I was annoyed since I’ve made the reservation a month prior. And instead of getting the hint and try to find us a table, the receptionist said, you can either just eat here or at the bar, it’s up to you, I can’t guarantee when you’ll get a table, and left lol it was almost 8 lol what’s the point of even making a reservation? Anyway, I stood my ground and refused to dine at the waiting area, a couple mins later, someone came and took us to our table.

The food was great, that short ribs was phenomenal, but that receptionist was honestly kinda rude.

Nan is one of the best restaurants in Atlanta. Every time I dine here the service and food is amazing. The hostesses Lizzie and Rose are so personable, the bartender was very friendly and we had the head waiter who was exceptional! I highly recommend dinning at Nan when you are in the area!

Diner Review №164

I’m in town for a trade show and this restaurant was recommended to me. The staff was slammed but handled it with grace and professionalism. The drinks were some of the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had some good cocktails) and the food was honestly some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. I couldn’t decide so ordered a few things that ranged from lamb, lobster, curry, fish, and each dish was phenomenal. The staff kept me company and were so charming and kind. Highly recommend!!!

The food and service were superb! Big portions. Drinks kinda weak, though. Pricey, but it is "fine dining", so that's to be expected.

The best Thai food I have had in a long time. Had the Tasting tree Tom Kha Kung soup, and the Kai Siam. Was fabulous.

Diner Review №178

Really liked the crowd here, liked some of the food, did not enjoy the service. You shouldn't have to pick and choose at a fine dining place. The tom kha kung soup is phenomenal while on the other hand the chicken & shrimp dumplings were commensurate with a Panda Express experience. The Panang Talay was excellent (the sauce!) while the kra pow hoi was ok. DO NOT GET TRICKED INTO GETTING THE BASIL FRIED RICE, it has minced chicken and tastes like the aforementioned Panda Express. Very partially good, at a very steep price with fairly lacking service. Nice crowd and atmosphere otherwise. Three stars.

Made reservation for 2 for Friday the 1st of December at 7:30PM for a very special occasion. We arrived at 7:15 and had a party of 4 ladies in front of us trying to get seated. Long story short, we were ignored for 15 minutes, they let a party of 2 pass in front of us and then when we finally got to talk to someone we were told they had no tables available and we needed to wait 30 to most likely 45 minutes to be seated. We left and went eating somewhere else (and when we left the line was out of the door with people waiting).
The food is supposed to be extremely good from what i always heard but it will be for another time. Maybe.

Diner Review №188

Nice joint. Great service. Fun staff. Great food. Don’t be Skured…. Go and enjoy! $105 per person, with no alcohol. $$$$$$

Diner Review №189

Really amazing restaurant and an unusual concept of Thai fine dining. The food is spectacular and the restaurant is comfortable and has a nice ambiance. The service was mostly on point, got a little frustrated a couple time as it took forever to get our main order in so we had apps whole still holding onto the bulky menus. Minor gripe, just wasn't as good as the rest of the experience

No doubt this Resturant is a staple in Atlanta for a reason. The staff was especially cordial and welcoming. Reading through the menu will get you curious about every choice. Thoroughly enjoyed the food from appetizers to the soup and entree. We’ll be back soon!

Diner Review №198

My wife and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at Nan Thai Fine Dining, and we couldn't have been more delighted with the experience. From the moment we stepped into the elegant dining room, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and sophistication. The attentive staff greeted us with genuine smiles and seamlessly accommodated our slightly delayed reservation. Our table was beautifully set, and the ambiance was both intimate and inviting.

To start our culinary journey, we indulged in a pair of refreshing cocktails: the Bangkok Thai and another concoction that perfectly complemented our palates. While we opted to skip the appetizers, the tantalizing aromas wafting from neighboring tables piqued our curiosity and hinted at the culinary delights that awaited us.

For our main course, we delved into a symphony of flavors with the Panang Talay and the Kung Pad Thai. The Panang curry, a classic Thai dish, was a revelation, its creamy coconut sauce infused with a harmonious blend of spices that danced on our taste buds. The Kung Pad Thai was prepared as vegetarian option for my wife as she is a vegetarian.

The portions were generous, a welcome departure from the often meager offerings found in upscale restaurants. We savored every bite, relishing the symphony of textures and flavors that each dish presented.

For dessert, we opted for the chocolate mousse, a rich and decadent treat that concluded our meal on a sweet note. While it was a satisfying end to our culinary adventure, we couldn't help but feel that a touch of innovation could elevate the dessert menu to match the brilliance of the main courses.

Throughout our dining experience, the staff remained attentive and unobtrusive, ensuring that our every need was met with grace and professionalism. They were knowledgeable about the menu and passionate about the cuisine, offering insightful recommendations and sharing their love for Thai culinary traditions.

Overall, Nan Thai Fine Dining exceeded our expectations, providing an unforgettable dining experience that perfectly commemorated our anniversary. The combination of impeccable service, exquisite ambiance, and culinary excellence made it an evening to cherish. We highly recommend Nan Thai Fine Dining to anyone seeking a memorable and refined dining experience, whether for a special occasion or simply to indulge in the finest Thai cuisine Atlanta has to offer.
