Tried this spot for the first time. Service was fast around 2pm I placed an order to go. For a week day it was pretty empty, with lots of seating. I ordered the General Taos chicken lunch special with a salad, it was OK nothing like traditional General Taos chicken from New York Style Chinese place; it was more like chicken tenders with a sweet chili sauce, and white rice. The menu has Thai, Sushi and Chinese dishes. I would have to try something else in order to make recommendations.

RUN AWAY! My experience was miserable, save yourself and go to one of the better restaurants in this strip.
This restaurant has a poor idea of customer service and an inability to take responsibility for it.

Short Story: We waited 90 min before our main dish was brought. My sister's sushi finally arrived. I had ordered sweet chili chicken but the server said she had no idea where it was. She told me to order something simpler and maybe I would get it. We asked for the check and she badgered me (after already waiting) to order broccoli and chicken. No apologies. I had to ask 5 times for the check and to get the sushi to go before she relented. I was polite and civil and there was no attempt to rectify our experience. Unacceptable.

Long story:

My sister and I were seated in an uncomfortable booth in the far back near the restrooms. It took 15 minutes before anyone even came to bring menus. I assumed that we were not served because our seating was so hidden.

Shortly after we ordered, I witnessed two people come and complain for not being served.

Our salads did come in a timely manner. My sister's seaweed salad was simple and looked good. My salad looked thrown together with way too much ginger dressing thrown on top. It was ok until I pulled the LONG BLACK HAIR from my mouth.

I like kids so at first it was cute seeing the kids and teens run back and forth in the restaurant by our table. Eventually, it became obnoxious. It was a bad mix of parenting and the restaurant letting it occur.

By the time the server came to tell me my food was MIA and ordered me to choose something simpler, I was tired, over hungry and disgusted. I just left resigned and disappointed.

I was in the area for business and I got into the sushi mood and I'm glad I did. Firt of all i found miyoko sushi from Google maps and when i arrived around noon i noticed that I was the only non Asian in the restaurant... good sign!!!
I had the creme cheese and crab meet stuffed bags!!! 🙏🙏🙏 thank you chef!!! they were amazing then I had a chef reccomend roll was crunchy and very tasty with a little kick to it. Go to miyoko if you are in the area you won't regret it.

I decided to dine in this restaurant on Saturday, July 15, with my daughters, I entered the facility and requested a table of 5; at the time there were 7 tables empty counted by me, two tables of 6 with patrons who were almost done with their dinner, and other random tables of 2. The young lady at the front was very dry and said in Spanish MAM give me a second we have reservations, she then proceeded to wait for another staff member who then said the same thing and looked super confused as to where they would sit my children and me because they had two reservations one hour later at 8:30 pm. As a patron who has been visiting this restaurant since before the current owners, I felt very unwelcome and as if they did not want my business. For such a small restaurant you shouldn't be taking reservations... if you can't even fulfill your walk-ins. Sadly, I will not step foot in this restaurant again, no matter how good your food is, your employees are a direct reflection of your business please make sure you train them to serve the public and not be rude and make people feel unwelcome, or you will start to have an empty restaurant, no matter how good your food is.

This is our date night spot. It is perfect.

Almost a year ago i wrote 👉🏽 We have been Miyoko clients for years but it is time to take a break! As i mentioned to them over the phone last night, the quality is not the same that it used to be and with the current quality the relation price/quality is not worth! There are plenty of other very good sushi/sashimi places around so Miyoko is not our go to sushi/sashimi place any more! Will we give them a chance? Yes, but in few months… will see if they take client’s feedback seriously!

Good food this time, better than last time

The waiter was super rude today. I asked which rolls she recommended and she just didn't say anything. She was measurable and unhappy waitress.

The reviews don't line up with the quality at all. Probably SEO hard at work. Ordered $28.00 sashimi meal. This was by far the worst sashimi I've ever had. The fish looked dull and had a texture of a fish that had been frozen for a long time and suddenly thawed. The Tuna look pink or artificially colored. That's also an indicator of lesser quality. Whatever the white fish was, it was starting to go bad. I stopped eating the sashimi once I got to the white fish. Even the cooked food was terrible. The sauce for the sweet and sour chicken was watered down in flavor. The miso soup was also watered down. In my opinion this is no where near what I would consider a genuine Japanese Sushi restaurant.

Probably eating sashimi before most of the guys reading this were horn . This is NOT bad but is Definitively not great at all. Gyosas are very good. Sushi is poor and mostly rice. Why do you think chirashi bowl is called a BOWL ...? Because comes in a BOWL. .. never in a plate people. .!! and need to be loaded .... this one was poor ... eel not present there, small qty. NOBODY ask for a small chirashi bowl. Need to improve a lot. Nice place. Kind people. But food needs improvement. Still better sushi in southflorida is Miyako in Doral.

Still come here even years after moving out of state. I guess this place has a special place in my heart. Food is always good and reasonably priced. Staff is friendly. Nice little hidden gem.

But all others are really bad.

I liked this place initially. But the customer service for me being a returning client, was horrible today. I spent almost $50 bucks on food for myself. Just for them to charge me another 50 cent for some sauce for my rice. It’s not so much the money. I definitely didn’t feel the warm welcome I got the first time & definitely was a little bit more cold/obnoxious. I’m definitely putting them on timeout for now. Not to mention my honey garlic chicken I ordered is dry as hell no sauce on it at all smh.

Average, middle of the road sushi restaurant who’s quality does not match the prices.

That’s not to say it tasted horrible or was bad fish or anything. It just tasted ok, and the fish was not bad but based on the sushi and sashimi patter many types of fish could be fresher or of a higher quality.

The biggest strike against their sushi credentials is the terrible ginger they serve. The worst I can remember anywhere, ever. It’s so pink it’s red, and practically tasteless.

The udon they serve is totally not worth it. The noodles were of a good thickness and consistency, but the sauce they cook it was ok, but even now I have leftovers I have no desire to heat up and eat.

If you have tried all the other sushi places in Weston, it may be worth stopping by. If you haven’t tried all the other sushi options, you may want to seek out something that will be better than “meh, it’s ok”.

Went in for a Friday late-night dinner with my fiance. The staff were all wearing masks but handed out laminated menus. Dine-in service was a little slow but the food was delicious and the waitress was kind and helpful.
I will be back for some other menu items that I didn't get to try this time. 🙂

I'm very picky when it comes to sushi. So I gave this place the benefit of the doubt since they had my favorite salad on their menu - the Harasame Salad (crispy noodles topped with Seaweed salad, bean sprout and carrots in a sweet and spicy sauce). The salad did not disappoint me, but the carrots had a little browning and didn't look fresh. On to the sushi roll. Who doesn't love Volcano Rolls? The simple volcano sushi roll should consist of California roll topped with dynamite mix. I have no clue what they topped it off with but it was brown and it looked disgusting. It didn't even look edible, I was highly disappointed with my order.

This would be the last time I order from them.

Great Japanese and sushi food. My wife and I have eaten here probably twice a month for last few years. The food is constantly good and the staff, who are also good, have all been around as long as we have been going. If you are looking for a Japanese sushi spot look no further, this will be your new go to.

This is my go to lunch place for sushi. The waitress remembers my order always and even remembers our name! She is super nice and adds to the awesome experience. The sashimi special with white rice is an awesome lunch portion that always leaves me satisfied.

Worst service I’ve ever experienced. I work across the street and could not leave work to get food. The lady on the phone kept insisting that they wouldn’t deliver without paying a $15 minimum. I decided to change my order to r act the $15 minimum and was told that my 8 piece sushi would come with a salad as part of the lunch special. My food arrives and I get charged a $3 delivery fee to have my food delivered right across the street and the food did not come with a salad. I ended up paying $18.90 for a sushi roll with 8 pieces. The customer service is atrocious and the food wasn’t that great. please be advised! Do not go here if you plan to get good drive and a decent price for sushi!
