Colorful Thai eatery featuring familiar dishes & a sushi bar in a relaxed venue with patio seating.
We visited with a large group on a busy Friday night, and the staff was incredibly accommodating, making sure we had a great dining experience. We kicked things off with the Tom Yum Chicken and Shrimp Coconut Soup—both packed with bold, comforting flavors. For mains, we had the Scallops Pan Yang Curry and Duck Pad Cha, both cooked to perfection with generous portions. We also tried the Lobster Pad Thai, which was just as delicious. Overall, a great spot with flavorful dishes and hearty servings!
Really nice restaurant with amazing Thai flavors! Perfect for an evening dinner. The food is excellent and the portions are generous. The server was a little edgy with us. Maybe because we were a big party and her gratuity was already included she didn't feel the need to be pleasant? Whatever the case, it's not going to prevent me from returning, the food was that good!
Really enjoy this Thai restaurant...the service is always great and the food delicious. I had sweet and sour with the shrimp option, mild...6 large tasty shrimp and awesome veggies cooked el dente. Got the brown rice served on the side. My wife had the Green Curry with chicken option with medium heat. She loved it, good heat but not overwhelming. The outside seating is nice and unique.
Great Thai restaurant with Thai staff who are friendly and provide great service! I highly recommend coming here for dinner. It's worth the trip from downtown. I ordered tom yum goong and laab gai for dinner and then fried banana for dessert. So good and tasty! I will come back!
Starting off positive, the pad thai with tofu was everything you’d expect for a pad thai. Flavorful, a hearty portion, and overall delicious. I was very content and had no criticism whatsoever.
Regarding the negative, the summer roll was probably the worst summer roll i’ve ever had (and only time) which is such a weird experience to claim because how do you mess up the easiest making appetizer in the world? Not only did they slice part of it in pieces so it basically just fell apart and was difficult to dip into the sauce, but WHERE IS THE SHRIMP??? Play I Spy with the pictures I’m attaching. There was like 1 singular shrimp in each “roll” and they cut it into little pieces to distribute through the roll since they decided to cut that as well. Master level skimping.
Thankfully, the pad thai made up for the annoyance but dang, y’all couldn’t spare 3-4 more shrimp?!!! Immediately got a refund via ubereats cause no, y’all aren’t gonna do me like that.
Ambiance was great and the food was spectacular. I sat outside because it was a warm sunny day. The patio was covered and there was a soothing waterfall. Food was authentic thai. I came at an off time so i could find a parking spot, but it looked limited for parking. Carpool or uber.
Beautiful place with good food. Some of it is a bit pricey but there are affordable options. Service was a bit cold but it was a good place for lunch regardless.
This is a nice Thai option, not over priced and very good service.

I'd been wanting to come here for a few years now, and tonight was the night. Had the crispy money bags, chicken Tom Kha soup, and pork drunken noodles. The person I was with had never been out for Thai food, so she had the pork pad Thai. Every bit of it was excellent. I cannot wait to go back. Try the fish sauce with chilis as an added bonus to your meal. It's got some heat to it, but it is delicious.
Carry out order, food was good.
We had a lovely, relaxing dinner. We enjoyed steamed thai dumplings, nam sod salad, sweet and sour squid and fried rice. Everything was fresh, flavorful and delicious.
Thai menu was limited. Plates were plentiful however our pad woon sen was just tasteless. The waitress recommended a xtra sauce which we did however it was not even close to what it should taste like.
Incredible quality authentic Thai experience. We both loved what we got.
Food was delicious
Great quality; portions were a little small.
Had Pan Woon Sen with shrimp. Was perfect size and tasted great.
What a Gem in West Palm Beach! Excellent job guys!
Rating purely on contact with them (or lack thereof). Called to place a pick up order at 7pm. Voicemail said to place order online. Online does not have orders enabled. Called two more times 10 mins apart, no response.
PAD KEE MAO AND PHO REVIEW:
I’m not going to pretend I’ve had true authentic viet cuisine, but I lived in Houston and Dallas, both with a high Vietnamese population. The pho there was PHOnomenal. The pho at Malakor was oddly sweet. Like they added cinnamon. Not a good flavor in my opinion but maybe others enjoy that.
The pad kee mao was excellent. Full of perfectly cooked veggies, and adequate sauce to cover everything without being soggy. The tofu is not fried nor pressed, but still good.
Otherwise, the ambiance is fun and festive! I enjoyed sitting outside.
Great Thai restaurant with Thai staff who are friendly and provide great service! I highly recommend coming here for dinner. It's worth the trip from downtown. I ordered tom yum goong and laab gai for dinner and then fried banana for dessert. So good and tasty! I will come back!
My favorite Thai restaurant in south Florida. The food is consistently delicious.
very bad experience.
Worst dining experience ever. Our server Mod had a horrible attitude and she hardly ever come to our table. We had to standup and get to her for something. There’s zero service and an automatic 18% gratuity was added to our party of three without prior notice in any way. She also added another item that we didn’t ordered on our bill to make us pay more than what we ordered. I questioned her that I saw on the menu that parties of 4 or more will be added a 18% gratuity but we’re only a party of 3 and I wanted to write it myself instead of being forced to tip an amount. She replied forcefully that there’s too many visitors so she needs to add tips herself. She then questioned me how much tips do I want to give? 5 dollars? 10%? 15%? I replied 10% (I originally planned to give 15% due to the poor service, but after the conversation I only wanted to give 10%). She’s then raged and shouted “Did you get the food?” “Did you eat the food?” I was like??? I paid for the food (should I not get the food?) and planned to tip, what’s wrong? Probably she felt guilty when she got caught adding an extra dish and had to shout. My mom came when she heard what the server Mod said and she immediately said I’m busy and left to avoid any further conversation. (She thinks I’m a student that’s easy to bully)
The food tastes okay, but our stomach starts hurting after eating the food.
Avoid this restaurant at all cost.
A local favorite for Thai! The sushi is good, too. Hard to beat the pad thai.
All food was cold, asked for 3 dishes 3/5 spice and 1 dish 5/5 spice, nothing was spiced up at all bland. Overall bad first experience and probably last. This was a take out order maybe sitting down is better.
Everytime that I drive pass by West Palm beach I have to stop at this fantastic Thai restaurant. Crispy duck is super crispy like it’s named. Pad Mee Korad is the best, no need any more seasonings because the taste is just perfect. I have never been missing to order this dish.
Very cozy
Amazing food. Fesh. Perfect. Atmosphere casual, packed, cozy. Tight squeeze- outdoor seating best for wheelchair accessibility it seems
We had sushi and many of the Thai dishes. Everything was fantastic.
Every time we are in W Palm Beach, we have to get the crispy duck in red wine sauce.
The outdoor section is charming, the service is impeccable, and the food is utterly delicious.
Beautiful atmosphere
I've eaten here one hundred plus times.... And i've never been disappointed. Every dish I've ever had has been excellent. My favorites are crispy duck.
Crab fried rice is to die for and their Tom Yum Goong (Shrimp Soup) is the best in west palm beach. My other favorites are the money pockets for an appetizer, and their sushi is wonderful Also.
They also serve sticky rice, which is hard to find, most thai restaurants don't have it.
The service is always excellent, and the outside area is beautiful. As well as inside of the restaurant.
There's nothing I could do to improve on this wonderful place. It's my favorite thai restaurant in west palm beach or on the east coast for that matter.
The only one I could ever compare to.It was in hawaii as well as in thailand of course.
Malakor Thai Cafe has really tasty dishes, and the flavors are authentic. The service is friendly, though it can be a bit slow when they’re busy. The outdoor seating is nice, but it gets crowded quickly. Overall, a great spot for Thai food – just come early if you want to beat the rush!
Fun vibe, great service, great food
Amo Tailandia
Great food very surprising in such a small place i definitely recommend this place !
Great Thai food, authentic and tasty!

The food is top quality and the prices are a little steep some of the best Thai food I have ever had
Really cute. Feels like hole in the wall. Service is phenomenal. Food is great and really big portions. The coconut lime soup was really really good!
Thank you
Love Malakor!
Recommend the Orange Chicken, the Boat Noodle Soup, ALL of the sushi and of course, get sake to complete the evening!
The menu is full of amazing choices, and if you're not up to dine in, takeout is a great option.
Located in Northwood, the parking can be difficult and the lot is small, so stick to street parking if you can.
Malakor is a cute place & the staff is friendly and helpful. They're almost always busy because the food is delicious!
Malakor Thai never disappoints. Always
Exceptional service very attentive to vegetarian needs wonderful Thai the summer rolls are very good as is the massaman curry. The Tom Kia is very good. We have always had wonderful dinners here The food is delicious and the staff is always on point this is a great local restaurant.
My favorite Thai restaurant!!

Great Thai food
Best sushi I ever had!! I love their Malakor Roll! My husband always gets the Thai shrimp dish. There is plenty of free parking, make reservations, cozy place. Love it! Great lunch too! You get a lot of food for lunch!
Is the first time I’m in the place but I enjoy a lot the variety of Asian products . I love Asian food and more with 🍣 .
This place was absolutely amazing. We got there a little late but were able to place our order before their last call. Food came out quick with excellent flavor and presentation. Staff was efficient and very welcoming. Atmosphere was beautiful and unique. Definitely recommend!
My father brought me to Malakor Thai Cafe after raving about it, and wow, it did not disappoint! The food was amazing—I had a sushi roll and papaya salad, and both were incredible. Having been to Thailand myself, I can say this is as close as it gets to authentic Thai flavors. Loved everything about our experience, and we will definitely be back!
We enjoyed the authentic food until got food poison....
Love this place.
Visit #2 and still love the food, ambiance, and service.
Excellent I love the food
This is the go to place in our little area
Perfect food beautiful tiki it's a home run
This is a must stop for my family when we go to West Palm Beach. We order everything from appetizers and soups to sushi. Broth amazing in this dish; I forgot the name but it had seafood. This time I took my mother in law and she also thoroughly enjoyed.
Always enjoy the relaxing outside ambiance and if you love Thai food, you will not be disappointed.
Note: During busy weekday lunch, they stationed a person outside to indicate where to park which was extremely helpful
Very bad service! I was so disappointed when went in there to pick up my to go order. The lady by the door did not greet me and instead looked at me up and down and gave me a dirty look. I have ordered from here before using uber eats but this was my first time going inside. I ordered pad thai and last time I got it from here it was very dry so I wanted to ask for extra sauce on the side but the man who gave me my food was also super rude. He told me it would be an extra $5 for a side or sauce! I only wanted a small amount and told him that and then he said it would be an extra $2. I routinely order pad thai from various restaurants because it is my favorite dish and this is the first time ever a restaurant has attempted to charge for extra sauce. It shows the greediness of this establishment. Needless to say, the pad thai is very dry and lacked flavor. This business doesn't even offer happy hour and on a Friday night it was empty. Please do better and treat customers with respect!
Amazing atmosphere and food. We had a great time for a birthday dinner with friends.
What an amazing experience! The sushi was incredible. We will definitely be back.
Great Thai food ! Get the green curry with beef. Delicious
It was my first time here. I went to celebrate the birthday of a friend.
A beautiful, quaint, small restaurant.
There were lots of people coming and going. Their takeout business is booming.
Malakor Thai Cafe is an amazing place to eat. The food is very very good, The vibe of the place is trendy and it is located in the revitalized part of Northwood. I can't really count this as a hidden gem, because it's known to be a great spot. If you don't know about this place, give it a shot. 10 of 10.
Everything is simply stellar. It's an unforgettable culinary experience that leaves you glad you stopped by for a meal here! I strongly endorse them.
This is a delightful Thai Restaurant that draws you in from the lush and tropical vegetation that greets you from the entrance, to the vibrant decor that awaits inside. The food is absolutely delicious - a true culinary experience with liberal portions beautifully presented. I highly recommend this restaurant where the service is efficient and friendly. (As an FYI - as of the time of this review if you are a dinner party of four or more the tip will automatically be added to your bill so keep that in mind so as not to be surprised.)
I recently dined at Malakor Restaurant and left feeling very frustrated. The restaurant was swarming with flies, which made it impossible to enjoy our dinner. The food was average at best, but the constant presence of flies made it difficult to focus on anything other than swatting them away.
We went to West Palm for a long weekend trip. The first day we had lunch; and we loved it so much that we had lunch every day of our trip. The food is amazing & authentic gourmet Thai. Even more, the service is so kind and welcoming. A highlight of our trip.
10/10 recommend, great atmosphere lots of people, very attentive staff and delicious food. Came for the mango sticky rice and will definitely be coming back!
Very quaint place, a little off the beaten path, but always busy because the food is so good. Highly recommend the shrimp pad Thai!
I enjoyed the fried rice with crab meat. I also enjoyed The green curry with vegetables. The food is exceptionally good. The value is absolutely well placed with very large portions and well balanced. Thanks for excellent cuisine.
This is a wonderful location whether it be a lunch or a dinner it is beautiful especially on the outside seating area.
This restaurant is a gem! The food is absolutely delicious, the service is great. I highly recommend if you're looking for a great Thai restaurant!!
Malakor Thai Cafe in West Palm Beach offers a delightful culinary experience. I enjoyed the Dragon Fly Roll, a perfect blend of fresh ingredients and flavors. The money bag appetizer was equally impressive, with its crispy exterior and savory filling. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal. Highly recommended!
I have many positives and one negative about this restaurant. For context, this is my go to Thai place for the past three years. All my friends love it as well & lots of great meals have been shared here. I definitely recommend the panang curry or poke bowl.
Now, to the less positive - and I say this with love, but I decided to leave the review to offer constructive feedback. My friend and I paid our bills separately and when she went to the bathroom, I was finishing up my drink. When she came back, we were there for maybe two minutes when staff came over and asked us if we could leave so they could sit another party. From the check being paid to that moment, it was maybe five minutes max. It just left a sour taste in my mouth because I spent $40 (not including tip) at your restaurant and you’re asking me to leave immediately. It’s not my responsibility to meet your seating needs and really, I should have said no then and there. I could see how it would be inconsiderate if we lingered for an extra 30 minutes but we just finished paying the bill. It’s poor form. This is the first time something like this happened, and hopefully the last. It’s been great otherwise.
Not a great area but fantastic food
Always excellent service, delicious food.
My wife and I were taking a drive up the coast and started to get a little hungry. We saw this café and decided to give it a try. Although the neighborhood seemed a bit rough around the edges, don't let that fool you. This place had amazing food. We arrived 10 minutes before the kitchen shut down for lunch. However, the staff was courteous enough to seat us and take our lunch order. We both ordered the Cashew Nut sauce. I had mine with pork, and my wife had shrimp. As a side salad, we had the peanut dressing. We were immediately impressed by the sweet, rich, nutty taste of the salad dressing. The flavor was savory yet had that hint of sweetness and the earthy nutty richness you would expect from a peanut. When our entrée arrived, we were mind blown. The flavor of the brown sauce combined with the cashew and vegetables was delicious. We were both surprised by the complicated taste. We enjoyed this dish so much that there was nothing left to box up and take home.
Malakor is one of my Palm Beach favorites. I’m a regular customer and have always had positive experiences here with both the food and service. Both the indoor and outdoor seating choices have a comfortable vibe and contribute to a peaceful ambience. I love sitting by the Buddha water fountain outside while enjoying a refreshing Thai tea after a day at the beach!
I love the outside vibe! They have an enjoyable sight fish tank and a water fountain that just makes it so much relaxing while you wait for your food. Great place for a small gathering or a date night.
Ate outdoors. There were a lot of flying insects. The candles did not deter them.
Best Thai ever!
Food was good
Definitely one of my favorite restaurants. Love the bento boxes for lunch
Took a customer here. Great food and they gave us space to talk which was nice.
Food is unbelievable good...the atmosphere is so cozy....the staff is very helpful and polite
I guess I am very picky with my food!!!!
everything that my husband and I ordered, was wrong!!!
We went there last SATURDAY before Mothers's Day!!!!
Early dinner, we ordered an appetizer CRAB CAKE because my husband is from VIRGINIA and loves CRAB CAKE!!!! (also, it was recommended by our waitress!!!!)
it was HORRIBLE!!!!
Then we ordered, PAD THAI for myself and my husband ordered DUCK!!!! None of us could finish our food!!!
PLEASE HIRE REAL THAI COOK!!!!!!
It was very bad!!!!
It was ok. Nothing really to write about.
Our group of five all enjoyed our food.
Best Thai in the neighborhood
Excellent service, great customer service, good taste!! Amazing team!
I visited on a Wednesday around 2 pm; they close at 3 pm and reopen at 5 pm. I requested seating outside because it was a beautiful day. I felt rushed to order my food, but that was because I arrived at 2 pm and the kitchen closes at 2:30 pm. I ordered the money bags as a delicious appetizer, the best part of my meal, and the coconut water as my drink, which was nice and refreshing. I had the Panang curry vegetables with white rice; I wish the portions were larger. The dish was a little salty for my taste, and the waiter did not ask what spice level I wanted, but that's ok. Overall, it was good. I will visit again, maybe in the evening, to take in the scenery and decor.
Best Thai food, impressive service and cozy atmosphere. The place was busy when we got there but we were acknowledged right away and were served promptly. We ordered 2 Thai dishes, a sushi for my 10yr old daughter, one cocktail and a Singha beer. Everything was amazing!!! My husband and I travel quite a bit and this restaurant is one of the best! I am Thai and if you want great Thai food and experience friendly Thai hospitality, you should try this restaurant!
Everything is amazing. I have nothing bad to say. Want a filling a grate flavored ramen. Ge it with extra beef. I know I are not going to regret it.
I had the pad Thai and it was juicy and savory. My wife overall liked her sashimi deluxe and my friend enjoyed her special order of whole fish. They were very accommodating and allowed us to move from outdoors seating to indoors because the wind has picked up. Service was really efficient and the ambience was well manicured and thoughtful. You should definitely ask for extra spices for your salads - they have a nice assortment!
Wow, best Thai food I've ever had, hands down! Went here for lunch and was surprised to see how nicely decorated it was. Reminded me of Disney's Tiki Room. Ordered the Tom Yum Shrimp Soup and the Laab Num Tok Moo salad. The fiancé had a Thai beer and I ordered the lychee martini. The restaurant was very reasonably priced and the food was delicious. The soup was flavorful and left me wanting more. The salad was marinated perfectly and was so refreshing. The staff was very nice. We will be back!
One of my fave spots in PB 🫶
Good food at fair prices
I love this tiny hidden gem! I trust them to suggest new dishes I've never tried.. I have loved it every time! Order the Duck Soup. Don't expect it to be soup. It's basically Peking Duck with noodles! The most amazing thing you've ever eaten. Everything is great. The place is beautiful. Just go there but not when I want to go🤪
I love the food here but coming in for my 2nd time I had to leave an honest review about my experience. A waiter promptly addressed us entering that we needed to move the car to where the sign said tow away zone. No big deal with that but my issue was I had my brother move the car while I tried to get a table. I asked the same waitress if we could get a table outside for 4. She said I don’t think there’s any available with multiple tables visibly open. She went inside and I opened the door behind her because I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to follow her. She stopped acknowledging me from there but I brought my family here so I didn’t try to put to much thought into it. I proceeded to ask about an available table to another waiter and sat. From the moment I sat down we were rushed to order. “hurry up and buy” was the feeling I got. My check was $130 with drinks and 3 entrees which I had no issue with but they let me know gratuity had been included at 20% for $26 in tip. No issue tipping but being we are a black family I did feel a little odd that a) my first time dining gratuity wasn’t included b) it seem prejudiced so I asked another table (with more occupants) if gratuity was included in there bill and they said no. Any other restaurant would have written acknowledgment on the menu gratuity added or for certain number of people but nothing of the sort was displayed. Great food and I’m not throwing around racist but i felt passive bigotry at an otherwise great restaurant
Food and service was good. I had the drunken noodles with 4/5 spiciness but was still mild at best. Drinks and apps were on point.
Bland but great atmosphere and customer service
Curry 10/10
Food was delicious, with the Malakor bento box I got enough sushi to feed a small family for $15. Complimentary salad that they gave me was also very good.
1st time I went there. The food was awesome!
1st time ever eating there parking wasn't bad food was awesome 😎 definitely going again soon price was great service was awesome
The best Thai restaurant around, highly recommended
Having had delicious thai food in California for years, never imagined finding it here. Malakhor is truly a gem. Five stars is not enough.
The restaurant is very good and I would recommend it to anyone who likes good Thai food.
The best Thai restaurant in the area. I've had most of the menu and everything is always great.
They put milk in their curries. I repeat - the curries are NOT dairy free. Huge disappointment compared with most other Thai restaurants. When I asked if they can make the curry without dairy, they said it’s already pre-made. The Pad Cha was good but not the same. Plus I waited a long time for them to take my order. Not a great experience.
Decent Thai food where you would least expect it. Authentic cuisine.
It's not real fancy but they serve very tasty food. Pad Thai was flavorful, and it was served hot. Seaweed salad was great.
The combination of indoor and outdoor seating adds to the charm of this authentic strip mall Thai outpost. For us, the medium was bland for Thai food, so if you like some spice, be specific. Otherwise, the food was fresh and well prepared, as you would expect from a restaurant run by Thai staff. Even the valet was bringing us water. That said, the staff was both polite and get moving at the same time. Sit outside in the shade by the waterfall for some extra ambiance. On street parking and their own small lot help as there are other restaurants on this short street.
Good food. Good people. Small indoor, outdoor cafe with good vibes.
DO NOT ORDER TAKEOUT. I ordered food 40 minutes ahead of schedule I came to pick it up only to find out that it was canceled. No one called me and told me i will go somewhere else
Seems this place forgot how to make proper Thai food…. So disappointing..
Food was flavorful and decently presented. Service was initially slow, then very attentive. Parking was tight and limited. We arrived for 730pm and they lot was full but then as we were about to look elsewhere some other parties exited the restaurant so we just waited for them to leave and parked in the lot just 20 feet away from the entry.
I ordered to pick up for the first time and we all love the food, very tasty. I will definitely recommend it to friends.
Love this gem. The summer roll is fresh & tasty. I love the salad with ginger dressing & shrimp fried rice. Great to dine in or take out:)
We've come here years ago and returned to town and put it in our list to visit again. I forgot how great the flavors are at this place. I was going easy this time , usually I dive into a heavy curry, red or green, this time a little lighter, Bangkok roll " California roll" and seaweed salad . We also shared some sashimi. Always great service and great food . We sat outside on the back patio . Very colorful with a water feature in the corner adding some tropical sounds . Definitely worth a visit if you love Thai and sushi.
Best Thai food we've found in FL. Amazing food. Try the Tom Kha Gai soup. It's heavenly. Pad Thai absolutely delicious as well. Beautiful atmosphere
First time here and it we had a lovely time!
I really enjoyed my take out! everyone was super kind inside. 💚
Thai food as good as you’ll get in PBC. Beautiful space, esp. the back porch in clement weather.
Honestly, this place is better when you can sit outside. Inside gets too crowded. The food is okay.
The food was excellent. Very fresh and tasty. The drinks could have been better. Overall the ambiance of the restaurant is cool and it's located right downtown so it's convenient.
Best thai food in town. The crispy duck is delicious.
Excellent food and customer service. The ambiance is intimate, lovely and romantic. Great for date night or an evening with family or friends. I am glad we stumbled on this restaurant. We will definitely visit again when back in West Palm Beach.
Too busy to care of the customers.
Delicious and quick lunch! Enjoyed a salad with peanut dressing and the tofu pad see ewe. Great ambience too!!
