My wife and I decided to have dinner at Banjarong, a Thai restaurant in our neighborhood which we had never visited before. Parking at the retsaurant is ample.

First, our server Tammi was wonderful - she was very responsive but never intrusive. We hope to have Tammi as our server when next we visit. The restaurant is not a very large restaurant. Its atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable with mellow music streaming in.

My wife started with Tom Yum Shrimp soup which (based on my tasting of it) had nice flavor and and a well-balalanced level of spice.

We shared two Entrees - Siam Tofu and Two Amazing Friends.

Siam Tofu is light fried tofu with chili sauce and mixed vegetables. It tasted great. The Tofu had a light crisp to its outside with a soft inside. The vegetables and sauce were excellent.

The Two Amazing Friends consist of Shrimp and Chicken saute4ed with curry paste, coconut milk, ground peanut on cabbage, carrot, broccoli and baby corn. The proteins were cooked just right and the vegetables and sauce met our expectations.

We are having lunch at Banjarong with friends this week and will return again and again . Be advised that Benjarong has very good take-out service as well.

I recomend a visit to Benjarong Tampa for quality Thai food. You will not regret it.

I usually don't write reviews, but this place really stood out to me that I had to let others know. My mom and I were in search of a good local thai restaurant for a long time, but we went into Benjarong and had the best Thai food we've ever had.

Walking in, we were kindly greeted and attended by an amazing server who was often attentive and very welcoming. We ordered vegetable rolls, a tom yum shrimp soup, thai basil, and salmon. The first two plates were amazing as appetizers, everything tasted so delicious and so fresh. The entrees were perfect portions, and overall tasted super good. The presentation was nice too, especially with the salmon.

We left very satisfied with the food, as it was filling but not feeling super stuffed, if that makes sense due to the fact that everything was super fresh and yummy. The service was also a highlight for us! We felt very welcomed with our friendly waiter.

If you can tolerate spice, I recommend you to try their special crushed pepper. Although it might be spicy for some, it really enhances the meal, especially the tom yum soup!

90 degrees inside, with a floor fan. $80 for 2 children, and one adult, for lunch. The appetizer, chicken was pink inside.I let this go.The pad Thai had a strong bitter/chemical taste. We each tried a small bite, to make sure, and all agreed. Asked if my son's I'll tasing noodles could be changed for a noodle with a different sauce. I was told no because he ate some. About the size of a half dollar was tried. Does the picture look like much was eaten?

Service was fantastic. The lunch specials are extremely affordable, especially for the amount and quality of food. I paid $10.95 for curry, soup, and a spring roll. You can't beat it. The servers were amazing also. I added on the fresh rolls and thai tea which were also amazing.

Went on a Saturday evening and place was empty. Picked based on reviews as we were on the area . Saw a board which says management is new. But since it’s our first visit cannot comment on how it is compared to previous management and service.

Parking is not a problem as it’s in a shopping complex. Easy to find location.

Service - Even though the place is almost empty staff didn’t notice us standing in front area waiting for seatings till sometime. We ordered drinks but later was told cranberry juice was not available and they were mistaken when accepted the order. He was willing to take another drink order but I decided to go with order to end the waiting. At the beginning we were bored waiting for the servers to place our orders as they were busy at the back and cash register. But after ordering they were attentive and friendly.

Food - delicious. We ordered double delight chicken, massaman curry and basil fried rice with shrimp. Menu is not huge yet the spread is great. There are options for all categories. Variety of proteins are available for all food options. The 3 items we ordered were amazingly tasty. I would prefer medium spicy level meant a little bit more spicy. We all agreed on spicy level as medium was sweet and didn’t taste any spicy. 9/10 for food

If I’m asked whether I’m willing to go there again….. yes definitely I will. I would recommend the place to Thai food lovers

Best Panag Curry Ever!! Love this place

Crab Rangoon was okay, the filling wasn't my favorite. Pad keemao was great, I ordered Thai spice but still wasn't that hot, added some extra at home but flavor was good, noodles were perfectly cooked.my wife had pad Thai she said it was good, should have ordered extra chicken.

Today, I had dinner here. I had ordered a red curry with rice and I also had vegetarian spring rolls. The entire dinner was delicious. The atmosphere was also wonderfully inviting and peaceful with some gentle music in the background. My waiter was John. He was very knowledgeable, hospitable, and friendly. All in all, this was a very ni vc experience. I will certainly come again. Thank you for your great service John!

I ordered dinner from this restaurant tonight on my way home via their website and the food was ready when I arrived! The food itself was phenomenal! I ordered the wonton soup which hit the spot on a chilly Florida night, and the Panang Chicken was delicious and just the right level of spicy! Definitely recommend!

Went for lunch. Dumplings were homemade and delicious. Noodles and rice were very flavorful and not too greasey. Service was fast and friendly. Good prices on the lunch menu. Meat was not overcooked and seasoned well. We will return for sure.

Food was ok. They was very short on the vegetables that I paid extra for and the vegetables that came with it wasn’t in there and could hardly taste the nuts They was short on the nuts also and the guy that was waiting on me was very rushy and No I wouldn’t return again

I love this Thai restaurant. It recently changed owners but the quality of food or service has remained on point! I bring my entire family here to enjoy the food and atmosphere. My favorite dish is the amazing eggplant with peanut sauce but recently I tried this dish with green curry sauce and it did not disappoint!! Don’t forget the spice rack to put some heat on your dishes. I highly recommend this Thai restaurant.

I believe the ratings are mostly from prior to new ownership. This went from a 4.5 starts to 2 overnight.

The chicken pad Thai looked good. It tasted more like slightly spicy spaghetti-o’s. Tastes like they straight up put ketchup in there. I asked for it spicy and it barely had any heat. Also, no lime wedge? The service was really nice though.

I called to see if my order was on the way the man in the background said yes and it never arrived. Really unprofessional.

My mother in law has been coming here for a number of years the food was good but new owners bought the place and now the food is MUCH better!! The service is WAY better than before. Kyle and Nisa run the place. If you like Thai food this is the place, if you never tried Thai food you need to give it a try! Come!

Wife and I (as well as much of our family) have been coming here for 10+ years. Last week we ordered 3 take out meals via delivery and when we received them there were literally 3 skinny thin pieces of chicken per meal. The meals were 17.95 each. We reached out via phone call and were told we would be receiving a call back about a credit or refund. After calling a 2nd time we were told to wait until tomorrow. Its now been 4 days and we have not heard anything from them. Not sure if its under new ownership or they have just changed their recipe to be extremely small, but my wife and I as well as our family will no longer be coming back or ordering from this restaurant anymore. Very unfortunate

Had the pad Thai and Thai tea. Both were delish! The Thai tea was a little sweeter than the norm but paired great with a little spice.

Vegetable fried brown rice was great. Will be back soon.

The restaurant was sold- and the food is not the same. Please be very careful. We ordered to go, our usual green curry double chicken, chicken Tom Kai Gu and fried dumplings. We get home all the way to Lutz and the green curry was so thick and green it looked and felt like pea soup. It was so hot we could not eat it. The Tom Kai gu was so sweet we couldn’t eat it. On top of it being awful to eat they forgot our rice. The only option was for them to “remake it”. Why would I want the same thing you just made? It was awful. This makes me so sad. Our favorite Thai place sold( 3rd time) and they have always kept the same recipies. I know the original owner ( Shout out to Shorty!) and he would be disappointed . Dine in and see what you think before you make the same mistake we did. $36 down the drain 🤢. Be warn its is NOT the same Thai food we have all been used to for 20+ years!!! And…the neon lights have got to go. This is not the hood!

The restaurant was sold, and the menu items were not the same recipe. The food was lacking flavor. The chicken skewers were cold and chewy not fresh. The duck did not taste anything thai... It legit tasted like church's chicken. The curry also had no flavor. The pad thai did not look stir fried at all, And the noodles were basically white

The food was fresh and had authentic Thai flavor. Would highly recommend the food here as it has great flavor and taste. This will be my new favorite Thai restaurant.

Very quaint place.. quiet since it is thanksgiving. Thai tea was delicious and the food was good. Had the Benjarong duck which was just ok..I asked for crispy.. which they did but maybe It was a tad too crispy. The pad Thai was yummy as well as the soft shell crab .. Wonton soup was good with the bean sprouts..

Just ate here for lunch with my boyfriend. Quaint and cozy atmosphere with unique, hand crafted decor on the walls. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. The food was out of this world and some of the best authentic thai food I’ve ever had! I got the green curry, the flavor and spice were just right, appropriate portion size. My boyfriend got the pad thai and loved it, had enough to take home. Lunch also came with a soup and a spring roll, so definitely more than worth the price. Also the thai iced tea and coffee are a must try! We will be returning 🤩

I ordered the pad Thai and pad prik for lunch. This is hands down the best Thai takeout I've had so far in Tampa. I live a little far from here but I will drive the extra distance to get this because it was so good. The pad Thai was perfect. A lot of the time when I get pad Thai for takeout it's a little dry but this one was so saucy and perfect -10/10. I can't wait to go back and try other dishes.

Tasty drunken noodles and solid service.

Ordered three different entrees via Uber Eats for pick up, all three were well cooked and tasted very well. Portions were decent that I left some leftovers for later. A little pricey though, I spent 60 bucks for three entrees.

Twice I ordered pad Thai mild and it’s been blazing hot.

Food lacked any spice or flavor. The green curry entree was smaller than a toddlers pudding cup. Waitress referred to me as white bread. What a disappointment. Three hours after dinner my front teeth fell out. Would give zero stars if possible!

Of all the Thai restaurants I’ve visited in Tampa, this is the best. The ingredients taste fresh and they spice is delicious. I crave it!

Ordered from Uber Eats. Thai noodles were very good. Vegetable spring rolls had very little stuffing and mostly flour coatings. Green Curry was ok. It had good share of vegetables but watery. Side noodles had uncooked portions.

Restaurant smell something, food waiting so long ( about 40 minutes). I ordered green curry but come out a very watery curry. The server not even asked me how spicy I need and come out a very watery green curry. A dinner portion about $21 but not even have the salad or soup package, it just green curry and a small bowl of rice. That not worthy at all.

We had the Green Curry and Pad Ginger. The Pad Ginger sauce was extremely savory. I drank the Green Curry sauce it was so delicious. The vegetables were very fresh and the tofu was fresh and perfectly fried. The wooden decor is beautiful. Loved the whole experience.

The store did not put rice in with my $56 order for entees that need rice. I want a refund but Uber only gave me $2.47 credit for something that affects my entire order. I contacted the store and they said they cannot do anything and there was not a manager on duty. She knowingly admitted they forgot to put that rice in the bag. The restaurant should refund me back my money!

Pad Thai lacked any flavor, very bland. I asked for veggies to be added and then I did not receive them. There was barely any chicken to be found, all noodles. The packaging with the Togo box led to a huge mess of sauce leaking inside the bag and put tiny holes in the bag all over my leather car console. Over priced and awful, Never again.

I love their Pad Bamee. Sometimes I dine in and sometimes I take it out. It never disappoints. The service is great, and the place is always very clean.

I love authentic spicy Thai food. It is always disappointing when you ask for Thai spicy and they give you little or no spice, but that can be overlooked. What cannot be overlooked is charging someone $2.00 extra for rice and $2.00 for extra sauce when they don't give it to you. The food was overall ok, the Tom Kah Gaia was one of the best I've had in the area, but the Panang Curry was hugely disappointing. I don't think I will be back because I felt ripped off and the main dish was so disappointing.

Since moving from Chicago to Tampa 3 years ago I’ve been longing for good Thai food, but because of my past experiences with the food here in Tampa my expectations were pretty low to be honest...until today! And wow! Benjarong Thai did not disappoint. I mean, everything I ordered- from the pineapple fried rice, chicken in coconut broth, to the yummy veggie egg rolls, it ALL exceeded my expectations. Not to mention, their prices were VERY reasonable...and best part? I have leftovers! Yep, will definitely be baaack! : )

I don’t know if it was a fluke since there are amazing reviews for this place but I picked up chicken pad thai and I’m in shock at how little flavor it had. I almost feel like it was a mistake like they forgot the seasoning or something? It tasted like…nothing. Zero flavor. There was barely any chicken either. Was a disappointment unfortunately!

The food and service here are excellent. We came on Saturday for lunch and were literally the only patrons in the restaurant until we were getting ready to leave when another family walked in. I'm not sure what it's like during the week, but I was surprised to see it so empty with the food being so good. I had the chicken pad Thai and my wife had chicken fried rice. The spring rolls and soup were also good. The food was hot and flavorful.

Delicious food and fast, friendly service. Fresh and quality! Enjoyed the panang and red curries and awesome Thai donuts!

Food is always good here and has been for the last 15 plus years.

The food was very good, especially the Eggrolls, but the waitress never came back to ask if we needed a refill on drinks and was generally inattentive. And there was so little chicken in the chicken Pad Thai that I had trouble finding it in the noodles. The other ladies that I was with had the Grouper with Ginger sauce and the Eggplant, both were excellent. Next time I'll order one of those dishes instead.

I grew up right outside Manhattan where it’s easy to find really great food wherever you go. It’s difficult to find food of the same caliber here. I have been searching for a great Thai place for years and my family and I had basically conceded to the idea that it doesn’t exist here. We have found a couple places that have a decent dish or two but not the full package. Often, they’ll have great small plates but terrible entrees or vice versa. Somehow I managed to convince my significant other to have an open mind and got him to agree to give Benjarong Thai a chance. We were not disappointed. We tried a couple appetizers and entrees and everything was absolutely delicious. It was fast, well portioned and so satisfying! We will definitely become regular customers.

Visiting Tampa and I love Thai food so me and my boyfriend decided to check this restaurant out. Amazing food and huge portions. The pork fried rice is some of the best Thai rice I’ve had. Wonton soup was also really good. Great service even though we came in close to closing. I recommend this little restaurant to anyone in the area!

The food is fantastic, always fresh with great vegetables made to order. I have friends that are vegan and vegetarian’s and they accommodate everyone. It is my go to restaurant often. The staff members are so kind. Many thanks to all. Debbra Salchak

Fantastic! Food tastes great, lots of ingredients and flavors bursting in every bite. I ordered the seafood basil and asked for Thai hot. It could've been hotter, but that's my only knock against them. The Thai tea is freakin' delicious. Will definitely return! A+

Ordered 2 chicken pad thai and dumplings on Uber eats. I can't say with perfect certainty but I'm pretty sure my wife got food poisoning from that meal. I know my stomach didn't feel right afterwards and the dumplings had an odd consistency. It's possible that our issues are due to it being delivered, but I'm just sharing my experience.

My son and I love this place! The food was very good, we got Egg roll, Fried dumplings, Chicken noodles soup and Basil fried rice. Service was good but it got pretty busy due to many pick up orders.

Grest Thai food with a friendly staff. My wife had the Basil Beef and I had chicken Pad thai that will make us go back for more. We also had the steam dumplings but i ate most but got one in the photo.

Wasn't busy at all, got right in. Service was fast, food was good. Decor was beautiful. A ton of pick-ups when we were there, come on folks go out and enjoy the atmosphere.

Fantastic Thai food. I'm a traveling sales rep and recently moved to Tampa. I eat Thai food at least once a week on the road. I was thrilled to find this little "gem" of a restaurant so close to my house.

Staff if is not friendly, food is mediocre and if you come one hour before closing time, will be rushed to order faster, because kitchen closes.

We came there about 8:45 pm (restaurant closes at 10), forced to order faster because kitchen closes. Beside us there were only 2 more patrons. Food we ordered was mediocre, and my wife's lobster was dry. Around 9:40 waitress (or even owner) started checking us every 2 minutes whether we leaving or not. Very disappointed with service. Not planning to come back.

This is out go-to Thai restaurant in Carrolwood. My wife loves the fried rice, and go for the basil chicken. Consistently good stuff at a reasonable price.

Yum! Quiet little restaurant with great service and food. We enjoyed it.

Almost all Thai food is naturally gluten-free. Benjarong says that they add soy sauce to everything, made in advance, so there is nothing I can eat that is gluten free at their restaurant. They said it is added to their curries, soup, and even their spring rolls. None of those items should have soy sauce, and they could easily substitute tamari sauce to open up nearly everything on the menu to people who can't eat gluten. Very disappointing.

The food and service were very good. This was our second visit, and we're pleased on both occasions.

Authentic, delicious...best Thai food ever, even in Thailand it's hard to find better.
