We LOVE Rooster Thai Sushi, the BEST sushi & food, fun, cool cozy atmosphere, and mainly such a welcoming, friendly great staff. We have been here twice so far and both times were amazing! This last time Jeanine, Julia, and Emerson were super helpful with the menu and super sweet and attentive to anything we could possibly need as soon as we walked in door. Fast efficient friendly service which is very hard to find. The first time we came in the waitress was also amazing, herself and the owner found out it was my birthday thanks to my husband and made me a special treat, the owners are super kind and sweet you have to go the food is 10/10 and the vibe is so fun! Highly recommend this place and we can’t wait to come back, best sushi, sashimi, hamachi , crab Rangoon, ramen and so much more all around. You will not be disappointed!

How good is this place? I don’t even liked sushi before I tried this restaurant. My most loved is Shumai and I think I could eat 50 pieces seriously but it’s pricey and only comes 5 but man it does worth every penny AND DONT FORGET THE SPICY MAYO!!!

Rooster Thai is our absolute favorite restaurant in the New Port Richey area. Every single thing on the menu is delicious - especially the crab rangoons, spicy edamame, and sushi. The staff is nice, and the owner shows such pride in their work. It’s hidden from the main road, but when you walk back to it the atmosphere is great with lights and music. Highly recommend!!!

Love love love this restaurant! The food is amazing! I love the atmosphere. Small restaurant with SO much personality. I gave service a 4 only because when you sit down you have one server and then multiple servers come to your table. We have been several times, but the last time we felt very rushed and with multiple servers things weren't as smooth as it has been in the past. Our "original server" was very apologetic. This is a wonderful restaurant with the best food. Even the takeout comes hot and fresh. It is my new favorite restaurant. I love Pad Thai and theirs is spot on. If you havent tried this hidden gem, its a must ❤️

Update: I have eaten lunch here several times. Service is much better. I always have the poke bowl. Delicious! Fresh! Reasonably priced. Service was a little slow-maybe understaffed or busy from lunch hour but server was friendly. Too bad this charming little gem of a restaurant is hidden at the back in what appears to be a partially abandoned strip mall. It needs better roadside signage, and a better & bigger location. All tables were filled on Tuesday for lunch at 1:30pm.
P.S. We were sitting at table by door and hostess was wiping menus with alcohol spray (I could smell it) which was good to see so you know they put cleanliness high on the list.

I talk highly of this place but not today. I ordered on there site. Was forced to tip or order wouldn't go through.(BS). Got home to dry duck panang(no sauce at all) with cold raw vegetables. Crab fried rice is usually pretty tasty (not tonight).

Either new cook or new management isnt working out. Dammit now I have to find another place for my Chinese food. Very disappointed

Janine my server (who was amazing), recommended the crab Rangoon’s. An absolute 10 out 10, really enjoyed my poke bowl and meal. I would say it’s hole in the wall and must stop for the crab Rangoon’s alone.

You won't regret eating here, the food is so fresh and delicious, and the service was exemplary. Jeanine was our server and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We will be back again with friends!

Love this place

We have been to most of the top sushi restaurants in the Tampa Bay Area and this one takes the cake. Super fresh sushi, delicious entrees as well to choose from. The wonton soup is the most flavorful I’ve ever had. The owners are kind and clearly hard working. Janine our server was busy but took the time to really give us great service. We appreciate this place, forever a customer. Not a place you will just want to try, be prepared to keep coming back. Encourage setting a reservation as they are a busy smaller restaurant.

Long time customer of a competitor and this place rocks. Food is very fresh and tasty. Staff is very friendly and the owners are wonderful. The only thing I’m unhappy with is the fact some of their customers gave them a 1 star review. Take those with a grain of salt and try for yourself! You won’t regret it.

The best hole in the wall place you’ll find with amazingly fresh fish. The staff is great, food is phenomenal. It’s quaint and lovely. Perfect date nice place, solo dinner or bring the friends. Small dining area which is always a great indicator they care about quality over quantity and Rooster Thai produces. I hate saying this because i don’t want it to get packed but if you like sushi, pad Thai or ramen this is the place you’re going to want to visit. Cheers.

I feel it necessary to update this review since my initial time coming here in February to let you know that I've been here over 30 times in the last eight months. (I know it's at least 30 because my bank statement shows that many transactions, but it's definitely more because I have paid in cash before too). This place is 101% quality. It is a delight to be here every week. Don't sleep on Rooster Thai! They're a regional treasure.

Bro really?? This place is everything I wanted it to be when I was browsing online and scoping out the menu prior to visiting. You know our town has a lot of quality sushi places and yet this place stands out to me as the classiest and snazziest of them all. Pasco County sushi establishments need to all pitch their tent in the direction of Rooster Thai Sushi. This is the atmosphere I want when I'm eating sushi, I feel like I'm in the city. Had to consider ordering an entire second round of sushi because I was so happy with what I got, and I still have the entire Thai side of the menu to try out (but what I could smell while in-visiting from other tables' orders was tantalizing and terrific foreshadowing for my next visit). I'm already excited to come back. Thanks for being a premium choice for our area, RTS

They were on a waitlist since it only has 7 tables total, my hubby and I were waiting like we always do at the front of the restaurant inside for at least fifteen minutes. The rude hostess never told us we couldn’t stand there she only discouraged us from waiting the 30 minute wait. 15 minutes past and one of the waitresses with buck teeth said you can’t stand there it’s a fire hazard, they own the building that we could wait at the bar which smells like an ashtray outside closed doors. There is only one sweet waitress there and she is older. The other two are obnoxiously rude and honestly the food isn’t that great to put up with rude service

After reading the reviews and not wanting to drive over an hour to my usual place, I decided to give this spot a try.... as I sat in the parking lot waiting for my order to be ready I saw so many people entering this establishment. Excited as I believed I made an awesome choice! To my disappointment, the sushi rolls (all of them) were gross.... and I threw out $80 worth of food as it was truly inedible.

Id also like to note that the girl (light eyes, longer hair) at the front was so unbelievably rude to her coworkers (an older woman and younger girl with short hair) it caught me off guard. Nothing justified her condescending and atrocious behavior for all to see. It made me so uncomfortable.

I will never be back. It was a very disappointing experience.

Called reservations for the same day and they thought it was for the next day had to wait a little while. We got the food and although it was OK not to die for. Service was ok not Very special. four stars atmosphere. It was OK style establishment nothing modern and old tables.

I ate here with a friend of mine today, and everything was amazing. I ordered Crab Rangoons, Miso Soup, Shrimp Pad Thai, and two sushi rolls (the California Roll and the Philadelphia Roll). My friend ordered Takoyaki, a mango tea, Tonkotsu Ramen, and a Tampa roll.

The crab rangoons were some of the best crab rangoons I have eaten. They were very rich and creamy, with a great crunch. The miso soup was a little salty but was enjoyable. The Pad Thai was delicious and had a great flavor. The sushi rolls were amazing as well.

My friend also enjoyed his Tonkotsu Ramen and Takoyaki. He also told me his Tampa Roll was good as well and recommended me to order each item he had the next time I came.

The service we had was amazing as well. I will definitely be returning back.

We got here shortly after 7 and it was almost full. But we were able to be seated within 10 minutes. The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant. And the food was amazing.

It's a small intimate restaurant, that boasts great food and service, we waited about 30 minutes before we were seated and it was well worth the wait.
Our dishes were not only tasty but were works of art as well, my wife photographed everything before we ate and my tuna sashimi was the best I've ever had and I'm 58 years old and a veteran, so I've been around.
We can't wait to go back and have another amazing meal and we truly enjoyed the wait staff as well, very knowledgeable of the menu and was able to help us in choosing what we wanted for dinner.
I highly recommend Roosters Thai and Sushi for your next dinner date.

The restaurant is on the smaller side, has some nice smooth music playing and dim lighting which gives it an intimate vibe. While we were there, I told my husband being in the restaurant made me forget we were in Port Richey. 🫣 The food was delicious and the servers were great. If we lived locally, I’m sure we’d visit often!

I know ramen. I used to live in SoCal and enjoyed some of the best ramen in the U.S. Every time I've been to Rooster Thai I have enjoyed superb ramen prepared with a broth that makes your mouth water. It is hands down, the best ramen I've had in Florida, to date. Everything from the atmosphere (lighting is perfect, manga panels placed tastefully on some walls, traditional Japanese design, etc.), fantastic service, unforgettable food, makes this one of my favorite places to go out to eat these days.

Great hidden gem! Go back often.

The atmosphere is so cozy and warm and there are only about 10-12 tables but it doesn't feel cramped. The staff are all incredibly nice and accommodating and the food is amazing. Husband got the ramen and I got the fantasy roll, which was 8/10, the volcano roll, 10/10, the salmon cream cheese roll was good and my husband says 9/10. We got the green tea fried cheesecake and that one is amazing. 17/10. Lol. I got the mango tea but it was 89% ice so it's probably better to stick with water tbh. Honestly we got a lot of stuff to try and it was still really affordable. We'll definitely be going back.

Management is off putting . Sushi is gross . Even for pasco county sushi * if you want good sushi and a great vibe drive the extra 25 mins somewhere else .

This used to be my favorite sushi place but today I bit into on of my rolls after getting takeout and bit into a cat claw. I have no idea how it got into my food but that was absolutely disgusting and I can't trust ordering from here anymore.

Wow! Tucked away this cozy Thai miracle brought their game. I’ve lived here 7 years and this is hands down the best Asian in a 30 mile radius. Service was exceptional, we had pineapple fried rice and pork ramen. We will be back to try everything.

We ordered delivery and so glad. The tuna poke bowl was the best and packaged perfectly. The spicy summer roll, Spicy tuna California roll and a California roll were so fresh and delicious. We will definitely have it again either take out or delivery.

The reviews are not lying. This place is definitely a hidden gem! We ordered the Takoyaki for appetizers and it did not disappoint. Then I got the Tonkatsu ramen and was pleasantly surprised. The broth was so tasty, full of umami flavor! Their Pad Thai was good too. I will try their sushi and poke bowl next time as we will be back for sure!

I was trying to enjoy a nice meal with my friend…The food was great and we have been there before unfortunately the server for some reason treated me differently than my friend. The server refused to look at me while they spoke to me, Didn’t tell me about the up charges on my meal ( they told my friend hers) , And were eavesdropping on our conversation and gave her unwanted input from the front door to our table loudly. My friends and I Probably won’t be coming back because of this experience… the server made our usually fun visit, unpleasant for both of us. Lucky for her, we’re still nice people and both still tipped even though we agreed it wasn’t well deserved. Still a good place just a poor server.

Was recommended this place by my barista at White Duck and so glad I finally got to try it. Great prices, amazing quality food, great service and wonderful cozy atmosphere. Cannot wait to come back and try some of their Thai food as well!

Had a Tampa Roll....ordered these in many other sushi places. Roosters had a fishy smell and taste....this means old....not good.
Also had the crab fried rice.....don't try it.
Thank goodness the green tea cheese cake for desert was good.

I noticed this restaurant just popped up on DoorDash. I love ramen, and we don't have anything quality local.
I was hesitant because deliver said 2 5 hours...but YOLO I want Ramen!

Placed my order. Order was accepted and prepared instantly. Delivery time updated and took about 40 minutes! YAY!

I could tell the ramen was going to be good based on the broth. It was so good and looked amazing. The noodles were good. Egg was marinated and cooked perfectly. Bokchoy was fresh, and the onion was fresh. I opted for the pork. It was sliced thin with a nice presentation. I wish there was more meat. It was tender and flavorful. I'll order double meat next time. With my order, we also got the gyoza. It was good, nothing special. We also got the tuna lover. EXCELLENT roll. Tuna is not fishy at all.
All the food exceeded my expectations. I'm very happy to have this restaurant working with Doordash!

I'd like to share about a restaurant whose food always exceeds my expectations. They offer a variety of vegan and vegetarian options, which is great. I highly recommend their tofu panang curry - it's one of the best I've ever had. Additionally, the portions are quite generous. I was so engrossed in the delicious meal that I completely forgot to take a picture until I was finished. The picture doesn't do it justice at all!

Food and atmosphere is great. Small place but large enough to still have personal space around each table to hold conversations.

Absolutely no words explain how good this place is. It just is. If you want good quality food, get it here. End.

My favorite restaurant in Port Richey, hands down. Just wish they were a bit cheaper. Food is so good, but it kills my pockets.

Also, just know that the plaza its in gives off major creepy vibes.

This is hands down!! The shiznit of sushi. All sushi and the Ramen Noodles, just insane. We come here twice a year on travel and this is a must do!! Kudos to the owners/managers of this place.

My family and I went to dinner here this evening. We are a family of 6 and the staff was very accommodating to us. The menu had a wonderful variety of authentic Thai and Sushi to select from. All of the staff was wonderful.all the servers were very attentive and answered all of our questions. Very accommodating to our selective tastes. My youngest son is autistic and has texture and environmental sensitivity. Our server accommodated and gave him extra special attention and made sure he enjoyed the food as much as we did.
The food is well priced. Great portions. And an amazing experience! 1000% recommend!

Soooo good! Wow. Ended up here by accident and was blown away by how good the food was and how attentive and professional the staff was. They were absolutely slammed for a Tuesday and understaffed but we still had great service. Best sushi in the NPR area hands down.
