Good Thai food if you're looking for something quick with good portions. However, both of our main entrees--Chicken Pad Thai and Tofu Red Curry--lacked the depth of flavor we were hoping for. The Pad Thai was good but bland, and the curry didn't have the rich, aromatic taste we expect from a red curry. Additionally, the Ginger Salad ($8.95) was mostly just 1-2 cups of iceberg lettuce with a good ginger dressing, but it felt very overpriced for what it was. Will definitely go back if we don't have time to drive to Blue Sake in Dunedin. Blue Sake has been consistently excellent.
I have tried this place several times, trying to figure out why it gets such great reviews. The food is average at best and has only a passing resemblance to what I enjoyed in Thailand. On our last visit we spent near $75 for three entrees and one small appetizer. One person who wanted a meal without spice ordered the pad Thai. It came out with a soupy red sauce. I have never seen it served this way anywhere in the world.
The service is friendly and fast, so that is a plus I guess. However there are so many better Thai places within a 20 minute drive that we won’t be back.
In the Boot Ranch area for doctor visits, my wife and I stopped by Amarit for lunch. Seated right away I took a few minutes to look around at the decor. All the appointments certainly put me in a Far East mood.
Looking over the menu my wife chose the luncheon Fried Rice with Chicken. I decided on the luncheon Shrimp Sauté with mixed vegetables. We discussed the spiciness with the waitress and assured her d bwe did want the Thai Hot spice, well acquainted with the heat level. She also picked the Veggie soup while I chose the Chicken soup, to go along with our salads.
We discussed our day and schedules. We gave thanks for the food, for good health and the gorgeous Florida weather. Shortly our soup and salads came. Salad was fresh, crisp, cold and nice. Soup was warm, not really hot, but tasty.
A bit later our meals came. Initial tastes confirmed that the chef had indeed listened to our request. Wonderfully spicy! My wife thoroughly enjoyed her usual - Fried Rice. My shrimp was spiced perfectly and the mix of veggies was crisp and yummy.
Even without any appetizers, the luncheon dishes were large and half came home with us for later. Good food, good service, great atmosphere, we will definitely be back to try other items. At least I will, the wife will undoubtedly get the Fried Rice!
Service is horrible. They sit you down and do not let you know that they are closing - but the minute your order they start the process of rushing you through your meal. They attempt several times to clear your plate while you are still eating and then drop the check on you repeatedly to rush you to pay and get out. Ok to collect the $ but then decline service.
It has been over five years since I have had the opportunity to order takeout from this restaurant since I no longer live in Florida. I was in town attending a funeral for a former Nielsen colleague. On 6/28/2024, it was 8:45 PM, and the sign on the door showed the restaurant closes at 9 PM. As I reached for the door, it was locked. An older lady opened the door and asked if I was picking up. I said “No”, I wanted to place an order. She informed me the kitchen closed at 8:45 PM, then closed the door and locked it. Having worked in the restaurant industry, if the sign on door says you are open until 9 PM, you don’t close the restaurant until 9 PM, and that includes the kitchen. There was another person who approached the door wanting to order food and was turned away. You can see him in the picture I took of the front of the restaurant. Their food is really good, which is why I came back again on Saturday. They need to update their time on the door and the online website to reflect the time they close the kitchen and avoid upset customers. To be honest, I don’t think they care. I noticed in their reviews that M Ann Gardella reported three months ago the same type issue. If you want to dine in or take out, I suggest you do it before 8 PM regardless of what time is on their door.
Great pad Thai! I’ll be back :) also the lard nai wide noodles are great. Amazing flavors, no wait on a Friday evening and good portions.
Highly recommend if your looking for Thai food in palm harbor.
Only thing I would say is this is the second time I’m served a chipped plate. 🍽️ I think if it’s chipped it shouldn’t be served to customers.
Popped in on a whim looking for a place to eat and this was a winner. Our server (possible owner), Pam was amazing. Felt like family. Food was awesome including the Thai Ice Tea. Definitely will become a regular.
This is probably the best Thai food money can buy!! We moved out of the area but ask our friend to pick up and bring it to us 4 hrs away!! The Sushi is i
Amazing and the Thai food is too!! Been going there for over 20 years!! Don’t miss out!!
Not as good as when I went a few years back.
Food tasted great but there wasn't much meat in the dish for the money.
The food is always good, and the owner knows a lot of her customers by name
Excellent food and service!

We gotGreen curry beef and pork $37 to go. No meat in either dinner. Maybe 5 skinny strips the rest vegetables. Cut corners..lose customers!!!#

Its ok..
take out of four dishes were very poor in quality and prep

Love this place! Service has always been so good! Sometimes they get busy but always worth the wait.

Food was excellent!!! Highly recommend.
We ordered 5 dishes and nothing to dislike.
A truly fine Thai dining restaurant.
Everything is fantastic food
We have been going here for 20+ years. Never had any issues. Pam is the best and we love her and everyone that works here. Highly recommend!

Staff is so friendly and the food is amazing. At lunch they play classical music and it is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Ive been going here for lunch for many years. The food and service are always top notch! They have the best Thai food in the area hands down!
What an awesome lunch experience! I've eaten in Thai restaurants many times and Amarit is the very best. The food was just exquisite! And the service was above and beyond!
Great place! Great food and the staff are incredibly friendly. My fav person is ‘Mom’ out front. Definitely get the Chicken Phad Thai - yummy!
Incredible food
Fantastic Thai food. Run by family and really great.
We love this restaurant! The food and staff are great!!
Great local Thai food.
Very fresh. Nice staff.
For a store front restaurant, this place really delivers. We did not have a reservation, but we were a bit early, and they sat us immediately. The menu is large, and easy to understand. Our waiter was smiling, happy to help, and asked how spicy we wanted each dish. I had the DELICIOUS curry chicken in peanut sauce. Portions were generous. Food arrived a bit slower than expected, but the restaurant was quite crowded, so we didn't mind. A fun, filling experience.
Great pad Thai! I’ll be back :) also the lard nai wide noodles are great. Amazing flavors, no wait on a Friday evening and good portions.

Only thing I would say is this is the second time I’m served a chipped plate. 🍽️ I think if it’s chipped it shouldn’t be served to customers.
I used to visit this restaurant more frequently for takeout orders and occasional dine-in. Unfortunately, my last visit wasn’t the best.
After paying for my overpriced crab rangoon and Thai tea, I waited patiently. Witnessed another customer picking up her food who dealt with a rude lady when she simply asked if prices had gone up as she was a regular. The staff member made a point in telling her she was wrong. That customer definitely is NOT coming back. They called my name to pick up my order. I took my food and began walking towards the door. I kept hearing my name aloud while the lady thought I was stealing the food. She kept asking another person if I paid over and over in Thai. I turned around and said I already paid since they weren’t communicating with each other.
I love Thai food but there are more authentic places in the area to try with better pricing. The portions are small as well. Flavors are ok. Staff is not the friendliest.
Been going here for many years the food is always good and the owners are very friendly, if you like Thai food try it you will not be disappointed 😋
Have eaten lunch here several times during our stay down here for the winter. Have had green chicken curry, red chicken curry and panang chicken. All are excellent and leftovers are excellent as well! Staff are friendly and very welcoming. Amarit has become a favorite of mine!!
RUDE staff….walked in at 8pm with posted closing hours at 9 pm. Two staff approached the table and rudely stated they are closing and had to order now.
The remainder of the staff continued to vacuum, spray bleach cleaner and “close” as we attempted to eat.
While the food was tasty, not the best Thai I’ve ever had, for sure. The wallpaper inside is pretty.
Lack of consideration for dining guests, particularly when we were there well prior to the posted closing, is off putting. Might I add, too, that one of the staff members assured us that our timing was fine, and to take our time and relax. However, the behavior of the staff versus what we were told were completely incongruous.
When you read some of the other reviews, talking about The same type of behavior from the staff, as well as quips they might give if you say something to them, believe it.
It’s a shame, because the food is tasty enough
This is the best Thai food in North Pinellas County.
21 years and counting in business… they are doing something right! This is one of those unassuming strip mall gems. So glad we gave it a shot! Panang, green curry, garlic shrimp, tom kha and spring rolls are were all fire. The service was fantastic as well. Here’s to another 20+ year of excellence!
So clean and delicious and the staff was great. They did add peanuts to my curry after I said peanut allergy, so double check your food!! Besides this, I will be returning. I must tru the duck. Their calamari was incredible too. Long fingers instead of rings
DELICIOUS 😋
Good flavor on some items, was bit expensive based on the quality of what we got. I felt the tempura could have had whole shrimp versus split in half, The pork steamed dumpling sauce was delicious, the flavor on the actual pork was not what I expected for Thai flavoring. I will try it again and order other dishes if my travels brings me there.
I've been going here for years. At times dine-in and others carry-out. Today I got my order of red curry to carry-out and the food was absolutely horrible. Called to inform the team, very calmly, while asserting upfront that I am not calling to ask for a refund but as a loyal customer as I expect better quality. The person on the call immediately quipped back saying they have been making it the same way for many years and that perhaps my taste buds have changed. I take umbrage to this statement and the owner/manager of the joint was unwilling to get on the phone asked that I come back in the restaurant instead.
Pathetic customer service!
Staff was very friendly and hospitable. The food was just okay. My husband and I have frequented many Thai restaurants as it is one of our favorite cuisines. I was disappointed in the Chicken Pad Thai, very runny and taste was just okay. My husband had Chicken Basil and also very brothy, almost like soup. Usually the sauces are thickened and we honestly did not care for this style. Also, be careful if you order the Rangoon, it is only cream cheese and curry powder only in the wonton wrappers. It would be nice to have crab or even some protein to give it some texture. The thai tea was excellent. Overall food was okay, not awful, just not to our taste preference. I do appreciate the wonderful waitstaff and kindness. Would try again and would encourage others to give it a try.
Great food and service. Loved the sushi and Thai cuisine.
Absolutely delicious! The Thai rolls appetizer is unique in its making and taste. The eggplant appetizer was delicious. Penang curry with chicken -- great sauce and the veggies were not over cooked.
Highly recommend
I love this spot, never had an issue with anything, I recommend it to all of my friends.
Like Thai; check it out.
Everything is absolutely delicious here !!!!🥰😍🥰
Best Thai food I’ve ever had, hands down.
Great food, as evidenced by the crowd there and in the pick-up line!
Good food. Great service. Friendly host. Always a positive dining experience.
Delicious Thai food!

Food was good, pretty Authentic Thai. The quality and freshness was on point. Have tried other Thai restaurants in the area this was one of the best so far...
The food at Amari is very high quality. The chicken is tender, the soup is pure, the flavor is bold. Make this restaurant your “go to” for Thai and you’ll be satisfied. Highly recommended.
The most incredible Thai food I have tasted outside of Thailand...ever! We moved here from Chicago & I haven't even tasted anything nearly as delicious as Amarit there or anywhere else. The food is incredible & the servers are awesome!! I would highly recommend :)
Delicious food & great service
Always wonderful service and the Food and Sushi are always delicious.
This was my wife and I first time eating at Amarit Thai Restaurant. We’ve been to other Thai restaurants in the area. The restaurant is very welcoming and clean. The staff sat us right away. The staff was very friendly, professional and super attentive. For starters we got chickens satay and fried calamari. For dinner, green curry with beef & chicken pad Thai. All the food was delicious. Our waitress Pam was incredible and very knowledgeable of Thai cuisine. We’ll definitely be going back. Thank you to all of the staff for a great experience.
Always amazing and so delicious
You order pork and they serve you chicken. Don't we all know the difference between pork and chicken.
Scammers!
Food is OK, but the old lady at the front desk is very rude. Shook my wife down for a tip on a takeout order. Pretty much demanded 20%.
I wish I was the one picking up the order so I could give her a tip of my own!
Will definitely not ever be back. There's no excuse to be rude and demand money from anyone.
Amazingly delicious and authentic Thai Food! A total 5 Star Restaurant! 🌟
Great place and super owner. Great favor
Our dishes tasted great! Masaman curry, pad se ew, and pad thai. The only reason for the 1 missing star is that our crab rangoons were cold inside. Appreciated the kids friendly plates.
Excellent food and great service
Best we found for Thai food
Always very nice and fast service
Most delicious Thai food in Florida
Pricey
Love the food but disappointed that they close at 9 now according to website. Tried to order to go food at 845 and the kitchen shuts down early.
We just recently moved to the area, and welp - I think we found our go-to Thai place! My husband and I love Thai cuisine, so we wanted to try a place near us in Palm Harbor. The atmosphere was great when we first walked in, and we were greeted and seated right away. We ordered 2 appetizers to try (fresh spring rolls & crispy tofu - I loved the tofu!) My husband got the Tom Kha Gai and he really enjoyed it - the broth was delicious! Then for our meals, my husband got the Pad Thai with Chicken, and I got the Panang Curry with Tofu & Veggies, both with medium spice…YUM!! Not only that, but you get a good amount, so plan on leftovers! The flavors were so good & fresh! My husband said he liked that the “noodles didn’t stick together” lol and I absolutely loved my curry - the tofu bites were perfect! Service was beyond friendly and we can’t wait to go back and try other dishes! 10/10 recommend!
Delicious.1st time customer. I ate all my food and my families leftovers.yum yum
Love this restaurant and the family that owns it
Amazing food and great service. Will definitely be coming back.
Great Thai food! We frequently order to-go lunch meals; their chicken pad thai is always supper fresh and tasty. We also enjoy the eggrolls and fried rice. If you are looking to dine-in the atmosphere is very relaxing and service is always prompt. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for excellent Thai food!!
Best Thai in the Tampa Bay area! One of our favorite restaurants! Always delicious and fresh! Thank you Pam for always being amazing!
Amazing food and great service!
Great food go u will love the sushi especially
Everything was top notch!!!
Pad Thai was 👍 delish
Our favorite go-to date night place for authentic Thai food.
The lunch specials provide plenty of food and the service was great! Between myself and my family, we were satisfied
Amarit is our default place for good Thai food. Authentic and flavorful food.
Will keep coming for sure.
Order chicken pad thai for carry-out. Discovered they had given me cucumber pad thai, and then found the only lonely scrap of chicken in the whole dish. Pathetic! Zero stars if it were an option.
Great curry. Food was ready when I arrived, which is not always the case with some other places.
Absolute worst Thai food in Tampa Bay? Amerit Thai Grill. The Pad Thai smelled like dog and made have a sneezing spell as soon as I opened it. The spring rolls are NOT spring rolls. And the evening manager is RUDE! Don’t recommend. At least DoorDash refunded the whole meal.
Always our fav Thai restaurant in the Palm Harbor area. Crispy duck is the best. Have been visiting for years.
Been coming for years always a treat the best Thai in the area for sure. Sushi is always delicious never once had a bad meal.
Ordered the Pad Thai. Very disappointed. Lacked traditional Thai flavor. Noodles were mushy and tastes like tobacco sauce was poured over it. I'm giving it 1 star because the Thai tea was decent.
Very dissapointing. Ordered Chicken Pad Thai, then also Shrimp, and Chicken Pad Thai:
The chicken was tough, it had 2 shrimp in it. There was no bean sprouts, or any other menu item mentioned in this dish. The sauce was tasteless, & too many noodles. For 20.95 that this cost, totally not worth it. Won't be trying again.
Great sushi and red chicken and shrimp curry. Liked the sauteed chicken dish with the garlic brown sauce as well. Pad Thai is very good. Friendly staff and owners
Great local Thai restaurant. I always enjoy this place
We made an order from this restaurant on DoorDash, which was supposed to take 45 minutes to deliver. The door dash driver called us after an hour and told us the restaurant couldn’t make a couple of our items, but wouldn’t tell the driver why, and instead of offering to prepare the rest of the order and replace those items, they canceled the order and left us with no dinner an hour and a half after we made the order. They claimed they tried to call us, but they did not. We had no missed calls and no vocicemails. No idea how the food is, because we never ate it, but the customer service is terrible.
Ridiculous prices for mediocre food. Not worth it.
Great place for vegans! The waitress was even kind of to ask us if we were plant based. Wow! You normally don’t get ask stuff like that. I got the peanut sauce with tofu and veggies and my wife got the basil fired rice with no egg. Amazing food! Amazing service!
Food and staff are great, it's gotten a little pricey, though.
Food here is always just okay, nothing special. They do have a nice menu, but the food just doesn't have that flavor that you're expecting. Just okay, nothing special.
Really good food but a little pricey
My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner! The sexy man roll & calamari were our favorites! Service was great too!
Skimpy lunch portions. Maybe had 5 or 6 small pieces of chicken in my dish. Servers never once asked about out meal and when it was served at room temp. Would not go back or recommend this place.
Delicious tom yum soup and green curry with shrimp I highly recommend this restaurant traditional and very good food the service was great we had a great lunch
Great food and service from this great family owned buisness.
Some of the best Thai food in the area. Love the duck, pad Thai, and crispy spring rolls!
Love this place! Womderful family
Great food!!! Great service!!
Very authentic. My husband and I really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service!
We highly recommend and definitely will be back!
I pretty much like Penang curry chicken no matter where I go each place of course has their own unique twist but I almost always like everybody's Pnang curry chicken so I went ahead and ordered it at Amrit Thai never having been there before. First problem was they weren't even willing to consider getting me fried rice instead of white rice even though I offered to pay extra they insisted I could not do it without ordering fried rice on the side and getting both white and fried rice. Second the meal was absolutely horrible I'm quite sure basil is included in every recipe of Pnang curry chicken that I could taste no basil in fact there was almost no taste whatsoever the chicken was tough and chewy and I stopped eating the chicken after the first bite and just ate the vegetables which were completely soggy but at least I didn't have to work to digest them I ate about a third of it and threw the rest away hopefully I'll save somebody else from the experience
Wonderful food.
Fabulous.
Been coming here 15+ years.
ALWAYS good always consistent.
Wonderful, small, family run business.
Just not the same as before the pandemic. Also not will to take concerns about loss of concern.
The absolute best dining experience I've had in such a long time! The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere is so warm and cozy. Thank you again!
Our go to for Thai in Palm Harbor.
Great food, good size portions, consistently good quality. Nice ambience and easy take out options. Pleasant staff. My goto place for great Thai food. This place is low key, but a nice find.
I am consistently impressed by the quality of the food and have recommended to many people. We especially enjoy the Pad Ke Mao, Pad Thai, and their soups are good too. I continue to recommend Amarit and have updated my review to reflect my ongoing love of their food, service, and ambience.
I viewed the menu online and I walked in to place a to go order. The spring roll states 6.95 for 2, the actual price is 10.95! The shrimp soup stated 3.95, the actual price is 8.95! The waitress said the prices changed 10 years ago! They did not update the website is what she said. False advertisement is what that is! They should honor what they advertise or update your website!!!!!!
Amazing food. Fresh ingredients. Attentive, friendly and accommodating staff.
Food was excellent
Best sushi ever.
Been going to Amarit for several years.. its consistently delicious, large portions, cooked to perfection Thai food. I think my favorite is their Panang curry.
This was my first time ordering from Amarit and I must say it was DELISH! The flavors were amazing and I will definitely be back! Thank you for a fabulous lunch!!!
This is my favorite Thai in Pinellas/Hillsborough.
Good food, friendly service and authentic flavors.
Great food and friendly and efficient service! We'll be back!
Staff was very friendly but the food did not have much flavor
We go here at least twice a month. Our favorite restaurant hands down. By far the best Thai restaurant. Everyone who works there is so friendly. We love Amarit ❤️
Always great food with exceptional service
Delicious food and waitress was very attentive. Best mango with sticky rice I've ever had.
First timing ordering.. Disappointing dinner for takeout. Shrimp pad Thai for me, beef pad Thai for the husband. Bland noodles. Plenty of heat (spice) but lacking flavor. No green onions, no bean sprouts. Pale noodles because of lack of sauce. At first I didn't think it even had any chopped peanuts as they weren't really visible but while eating I found there was some afterall. The only upside was a decent amount of shrimp and beef in both entrees. Will not order from Amarit again unfortunately.
I ordered chicken and shrimp panang to go, $21.35 and tipped them $4. The dish had 2 very small shrimp and 8 bites of chicken. I counted them because I was surprised to open the container to find mostly zucchini floating in a mass of curry panang gravy.
Very friendly staff and excellent customer service as well as superb Thai food. Appetizers, soups and entrees are all delicious and well prepared!
2nd visit. Food and service very good. Had the Pad Thai with shrimp and green curry with shrimp. Curry puff appetizer with sweet potato filling and cucumber salad was also very good. Can't wait for our 3rd visit.
It's the best. Nothing else to say. Just give them your money.
Very good. Will go back for sure
Great food and service. Pad tai was delicious and had a wide array of rolls that were all *chefs kiss*
Great food. Great experience!
Very good and fresh food.
Recommended.
We have eaten here before but probably won't be back anytime soon. Ordered two dinners and both were extremely bland.
Great food. They have some unique options on menu.
Maybe I am a bit our there, but I only eat chicken red curry medium because it's so addictive.
First time visit. Extremely accommodating and food was fresh and delicious.
Tofu and veggie pad Thai tasted mostly like baby corn, and the tofu was extremely soft with a weird breading that didn’t work for me. Tofu was flavorless. Chicken Panang curry was ok. We did ask for mild spice on both which at most Thai places still has flavor but not as much spice. Here I guess it means mild flavor because both were bland. The fried spring rolls were these weird massive rolls of solid pork with a weird tempura breading. They were probably twice the diameter of a typical fried spring roll. Overall not the worst Thai I’ve ever had but definitely wasn’t great. Hopefully it was just an off night.
Comida siempre fresca . De muy buena calidad . Buena atención
I love this place! I really enjoy the peanut curry and the pad Thai. The Sushi is always so fresh and tasty too! I always come here for my Thai food cravings, it’s amazing here and I’m never disappointed.
We Eat at Amarit Thai every Thursday. We do both stay in and take out. This restaurant is Always 5 star. The Staff is very Professional and friendly. All the dishes we order are delectable. I love lunch since it comes with free vegetarian egg rolls and delicious chicken rice soup. The atmosphere is quiet with soft music. We love it!!
The ambiance was great, the staff was fantastic and the food was tasty. This was a great place to share a meal with the family. I am sure we will return.
Just a great experience from the service to the food to the decor the dishes were cooked to perfection.
Can't wait to return...
Absolutely the Absolute Best Thai I have ever had! ❤
