Orlando Thai Seafood and Raw Bar
Upscale Thai food is having a moment, and it's so exciting to see. A new place just opened a few weeks ago and is already getting rave reviews for its elegant atmosphere. Apparently, the dishes are incredibly creative and beautifully presented. It sounds like the perfect spot for a special occasion dinner. I'm definitely adding it to my must-try list!
Delicious seafood-focused Thai fine dining, what’s not to love?! We arrived after dark and the place still looks stunning; I can only imagine how beautiful it is with sunlight streaming thru all the windows, or while sitting out on the patio. All of our food was really good, especially the Khao Pad Pu (crab fried rice) which had a very generous (and in my opinion, correct) amount of crab on top, and we left very happy. The service was also excellent, and we were told they should have nice cocktails available in about a month (still waiting for the license) — we will definitely have to return for that!
Beautiful Thai Restaurant with a strong focus on Seafood. Everything was properly made and seasoned with authentic Thai flavors. Menu is unlike any other Thai restaurant in Orlando, really enjoyed my visit here and I’m looking forward to going back and trying the rest of the menu.
We were visiting Orlando and found this place on Google search for Asian food. When we got there, the hospitality was unmatched! The waitress explained to us the whole menu (a lot of items) and it was very helpful since their items were in Thai, which can be intimidating if you don’t know what is what. She also made sure we were not allergic to any ingredients, as well as giving a personalized option to order!
We ordered:
- Roti and coconut curry for appetizers (Keaw Wan Roti) - very creamy and delicious!
- Vermicelli shrimp stir fry (Goong Ob Woon Sen) - extremely deep flavors with green spicy/sour dipping sauce
- Steak with brown chili oil salty/spicy (Sua Rong Hai) - Perfectly cooked steak and the complimentary sauce was perfect fit w the Southeast Asian cuisines!
- Mango Sticky Rice (Khao Neaw Ma Muang) - a perfect ending to this nostalgic meal, sweet sour salty with creamy coconut cooked sticky rice.
Highly recommend Talay, excited to come back again!
Talay is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the beautiful decor and ambiance—it’s the perfect mix of elegant and cozy. The service was amazing; the staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. And the food? Absolutely delicious! Every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. We can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu. Highly recommend!
I really enjoyed my dinner here. The design of the restaurant is really nice, upscale modern vibes. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The menu is diverse and has a lot of options. There is a lot of seafood options so if you like seafood, it's really good. They also have classic Thai food and some grilled meat options as well so something for everyone. I would come back and try some other things!
Rarely, if ever, will I dine at a restaurant two evenings in a row. However, my experience at Talay was so exceptional that I did just that. I am looking forward to returning on my next visit to Orlando. The menu offerings are unique and are prepared and presented to perfection. Try the “I Tim Boran” for dessert!
Ate at Talay last night and had the best time! Our server Emily was so sweet, helpful and perfectly attentive. The space is so beautifully curated and the food was exactly what we were wanting! Delicious, flavorful, right amount of spice and nicely portioned.
Roti Bread, Pad See Ew (shrimp + tofu) and Scallop Curry 🥰
Would absolutely go back!
I am so impressed by this place. We enjoyed our meal off Anya’s (awesome server) recommendations, and we loved everything we tried. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and we can’t wait to come back! Excited to see the bar open as well.
Went there for my birthday and we all loved everything that we ordered. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu with great recommendations. Can’t wait to go back!

Modern, elegant Thai food. Pad pak boong reminds me exactly of morning glory in the streets of Bangkok and Phuket. Super authentic! Highly recommend.
Came here with my family and enjoyed some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Highly recommend the fried shrimp cakes looking appetizer they have!!
HORRIBLE OVERPRICED FOOD. I ordered the tod kra tiam. The rice was stiff and the protein was flavorless and for $20 there was barely any protein. I also had the tod mun goong and it was also very underwhelming and flavorless. The plum sauce was delightful but the shrimp cake itself was very plain and for $14 I would've expected something of higher quality. It has a gorgeous setting and nice staff, but I would not dine here again.
Food was amazing, the place itself is beautiful. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I love two mins away and will be coming here often 10/10 recommend. Everyone should come and try!

Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. Highly recommend whether going out with friends or for date night.

If you are looking for incredible high end Thai food with a focus on ocean first ingredients this is the place you are looking for. The oysters were incredible and both of our entrees were equally impressive. The staff is lovely, the owners are great, the design is gorgeous, and the food is awesome. Do not hesitate on Talay if you are looking for great Thai or seafood in Orlando.

Love what they did with the space. Great atmosphere, staff was very friendly, and I enjoyed the food a lot! Highly recommend trying it out.
Sea food tilt, exceptional quality food and service, unique flavors and dishes …Ava like atmosphere but more casual …feels upscale but still inviting…
Chicken wings, fried crab claws, pad Thai, pad see ew, green curry were wonderful. Service and atmosphere were wonderful. We will be back!
One of the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to! The pad thai was amazing and the roti appetizer was phenomenal. Gorgeous interior and the team was so sweet! I will definitely be coming back
Super nice venue, fantastic service, and delicious food. Highly recommend the pad see ew, especially if you’re like me and can’t have shellfish haha. Also the roti appetizer was exceptional!
The long awaited soft opening of Talay Made the experience even better when I arrived before five for dinner and my expectations were exceeded in every way. He dining area and bar are well appointed, the monochromatic scheme is inviting and soothing. Emily, Nam and Archie Made me feel like I was already a regular customer, with personable, excellent and efficient service. I enjoyed the Pad See Ew and a breaded dessert with sticky rice and coconut ice cream and tropical fruit bits—very light. All items were well priced with generous portions and authentically Thai.
Thank you, Talay!

Went to Talay's opening day and was not disappointed. The food is delicious, authentic Thai flavors. The people are very courteous and the atmosphere is awesome. This is a great addition to the north quarter neighborhood!
Amazing food! Full of authenticity and flavor. Love the atmosphere — super fresh and posh! And the staff was incredible! Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this new spot! We just hope for more vegetarian and vegan options.
Exceptional quality and attention in the kitchen. Friendly staff and elegant relaxed atmosphere. A new GEM!
First time in Orlando and the first place I went to eat. The restaurant has a beautiful and calming decor and the food is delicate and flavoursome. It was their opening night so there was a 10% off our order too! Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting Florida
