You want to check it out now? I said yes, who needs to sleep when Curry awaits?That is how our Midnight Adventure began. We arrived at Roong Aroon Thai Cafe about 1:00 am. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff friendly and welcoming. I ordered a Spicy Green Curry, my daughter had Eggplant with Basil. We shared a lovely Red Curry and an order of Fried Spring Rolls. The servings were very generous and filling. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. I really enjoyed our Midnight Adventure,however the cafe has regular hours also. 8:00 pm to 3:00 am. I highly recommend Roong Aroon Thai Cafe to anyone who enjoys authentic Thai Cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere with generous servings and attentive staff.

This is our go to Thai restaurant when we want Thai food late at night on the weekend. The server/host is always so friendly and attentive and the food is always super fresh and made with love. I particularly love their basil fried rice and the crab Rangoon (it has curry spice inside it). The restaurant currently has limited capacity but it’s so worth the wait!

To find such a good quality place open so late too… I ordered this food at almost 1AM & it hit the SPOT! This place opens late and stays open late. We had planned to come one week and the hours mysteriously changed from 8pm opening to 10pm. It was late as is at 8pm so we decided to try another day which we did. We arrived about 815pm and the place was crowded. All to go/take out orders. I said they must call at 759pm to place their order. We were the only ones dining in, it took a few to be served but we well were well acknowledged by the sole front staff. He was also personable and that I always love. We had chicken pot stickers, hubby had the basil fried rice and I had the prig khing. Hubby and I said mild heat, his was ok but mine was too spicy, couldn't enjoy it much. My hubby had made up his mind he liked the other Thai place we visited. The food is fresh and hot and obviously made to order. Ironically another to-go customer came in and complained about the last minute change to opening the week prior. Our server explained how the time it takes to prepare food and the space they have and sometimes they do not have items on the menu and prefer not to disappoint customers. Very genuine and transparent and I appreciate it! They also evidently have their loyal customer base because at no time did the place stay empty our time there with take out orders/pickups coming through.

First tine here. The waiter was so personable and very helpful! The food was outstanding! The pork skewers are to die for! Seriously get them you won’t be sorry. Pork was so tender with great flavor. The Thai dumplings were thick and tasty. I had the pad see ew & it was the best I ever had. The waiter said that they hand make the noodles and I will dream about those noodles until I have them again. They were so delicate and soft. My friend had the pad Thai. Got some pineapple fried rice to go. Can’t wait to go back & explore the rest of the menu. Worth every penny. Chill atmosphere. They are open till 3 AM!

Great little place! Very friendly! Went for the first time, recently. Only around 5 dine-in tables. The place was full and there were ppl sitting waiting for take-out. Only one waiter since it is a family owned and operated business. The ppl waiting for take out were there a good 45 mins, plus, and it took our drinks to be served around that time as well, so expect a lengthy wait for drinks and food. It was worth it, though. Food was very good, authentic Thai. They do not open till 8pm, which is usually late for us to eat dinner, but we wanted to try it....so if you prefer a late dinner and authentic Thai, and you don't mind a bit of a wait to be served, this is the place for you!

Best Thai we have had in Tampa! You can tell everything is cooked from the heart comes from family recipes. Pineapple fried rice - was amazing! We had Pad Prik Khing ( chicken) and the favor layers were so unique. Tom Kia gui was rich, thick, sweet, but savory. Tons of chicken. So so so good! We will be back! Very weird hours with unbelievable food. Best pad thai I’ve had and I have been to Bangkok and have had my fair share of pad thai. Wish they opened sooner than 8pm and I also wish they were open Friday night. The service is great and the food is worth waiting until they are open. I order from here regularly and have recommended them to friends that all rave about their food as well.

This has to be the best Thai food in Southwest Florida. You can tell the quality and the time they take to make the food so good. We found this place by accident, but we would love to come back over and over again highly recommend the Curry dishes and some of the beef and vegetable combinations.

The food here is good, but the customer service is extremely disappointing.
1. Phone Orders Are Impossible: They never pick up the phone for to-go orders. This means you’re forced to visit the restaurant in person, wasting 20-30 minutes just waiting for your order to be prepared. It’s incredibly inconvenient, especially if you’re in a hurry.
2. Poorly Managed Hours: The management doesn’t bother to keep their business hours updated on Google or Apple Maps. The timings & opening days listed are often incorrect, which can be frustrating if you plan your visit based on them.
3. Unreliable Opening/Closing Times: The restaurant frequently opens late or closes unexpectedly, with only a handwritten note stuck on the door to notify customers. This lack of professionalism makes it difficult to rely on them.

Given these issues, I doubt I’ll ever return.

The BEST Thai food in the area! This is truly one of our favorite restaurants. The server recognized us after just one visit and is very friendly. He also told us that in addition to the gluten free items on the menu, they can make many other items gluten free as well if you ask.

It opens late, but it's totally worth the wait! Food, service, and atmosphere were awesome. A hidden gem and I will absolutely be back.

Roong Aroon Thai Cafe is a fantastic spot for authentic Thai food. I ordered the Drunken Noodles and Panang Curry, both Thai hot, and they were absolutely amazing—packed with flavor and perfectly spiced. The cozy ambiance adds to the experience, and Dah, the owner, is so humble and kind, making you feel right at home. Highly recommend! That said, hiring another staff member could make the service a bit quicker.

Cute story: i work and then do studio hours for my college so i get home very late and this is one of the places i stop sometimes cuz they work late hours and make delicious food, i went today and ordered to go and waited in my car, after checking up and getting told 5 more min i went back to my car to wait. The SWEETEST man that took my order ran outside looking for me when my food was done and bringing it straight to my car door. You do not understand how much that means to some people that had a long tough day. Thank you to that man <3

me and my friend we here after the gym and got the pad thai and dumplings. the atmosphere was beautiful and welcoming and so was the server. the food was also incredible defo a must visit for the late night foodies.

The food and service was excellent. Fresh, authentic and large portions. It was about a 20 minute drive from Busch Gardens and well worth it. The waiter was very friendly. Definitely recommend and would go back.

I really wanted to love this place after reading the reviews, so much so that we waited until their very late 8pm open time for dinner on our anniversary. Unfortunately the food was a massive disappointment. I had drunken noodle and while the flavor and veggies in it were very good,the noodles were so mushy and broken down they were like paste in the mouth. It was so unappetizing to eat I actually threw it away. The crab fried rice was a basic plain fried rice with crab meat sprinkled on top, it tasted fine but pretty bland and the rice was soft and overcooked. My husband had the prik thing which he said was best of what we had.

The food here is absolutely amazing! They are a small business so keep that in mind when you go in, you will be waiting quite a while for your food if they are busy but it’s WELL worth the wait! The staff is very welcoming and extremely caring. I hope they continue to be successful so they can hopefully open a location with more staff and more tables. BEST Tom Yum soup my husband or I have ever had (and I try it everywhere)! We found this gem a couple of weeks ago, and I think, between my husband and I, we've told over a dozen friends already. Panang curry is great; so are the fried rice dishes, and the Prik Khing is outstanding! The milk teas are tasty, and everything is super fresh.

First time trying this spot and overall it was a great choice. The restaurant was clean and tidy when walking in. The bathroom was spic and span. The server was very kind and the place is decorated nicely. They don't have many staff so the wait is lengthy. We witnessed people coming in for their take out orders and still they had to wait over 30 minutes for it. Additionally, one person walked in to place an order and was informed that they were essentially backed up so their request couldn't be fulfilled at that time without a long wait. The food was sooooooooo good and we'll definitely return.

We walked in a little before 8:30pm, and were told there were no tables available. We weren’t asked if we wanted to wait for a table, or come back when one opened up; nor did they offer carry out as an option. Just, sorry, we don’t have any tables available. We’ve been looking forward to trying this restaurant after reading all the great reviews and were extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service, especially given they only had 3 couples eating dinner, and an empty table for 8 they said was reserved. No problem! Happy to support other local great Thai restaurants.

This is my 3rd time coming here this week! The food is amazing, the service is great and the place looks well put together. In addition the prices for the amount of food is super affordable.

A fantastic (and authentic) Thai meal was had here!! The noodles used in the pad see ew dish is made in house and it is so soft and chewy. The portion is generous and if you enjoy dessert, try the mango sticky rice. They served Thai mango and the sticky rice is infused with pandan fragrance. 100% will return.

Their operating hours is listed correctly on Google. They open from 8pm-3am and is great for take out if you work late.

Called in a pick up order and the gentlemen did advice me that they had a very large order placed before us so it would take longer than expected. Was about an hour from order but will not fault them on that bc he gave me a heads up and chance to back out if needed. So kudos on great service for the notice!

Since this is a new family run business, service is slow. The place is very basic. However, the flavorful food more than makes up for all the shortcomings.

I recently made a big takeout order from here and everything is delicious. I am from Thailand and can say this is authentic. I ordered Thai hot for everything and I appreciate they did not disappoint. It is hard to find a place that will make their dishes extra spicy but this place delivers. They have the best Panang curry and drunken noodles. Portions are big so you won't be disappointed. I wish they opened a little earlier for dinner.

After trying countless other Thai restaurants in the area and not being very impressed, we have FINALLY found a place that meets our standards from living in DC and visiting Thailand. We had the pork pot stickers, pad see ew, and drunken noodles. The wide rice noodles are by far the best we’ve had in the area, it’s not even close. And they don’t hold back on the spice either. So glad this place is in the area and can’t wait to make it our go-to Thai place! I’ve missed having great Thai food and Roong Aron is definitely great Thai food!

The food was immaculate! The dishes came out, piping hot and full of flavor! We can't wait to go back! The mango sticky rice was the best we have ever tasted!

The food was fresh and amazing! Loved the vibe, felt like we were eating in a garden. The food was spicy to our liking. You must try the thai iced tea, it was heavenly. Their noodles are freshly made. The detail to food was perfect. To top it off, the owner Da took great care of us and was a delight to interact with!

Definitely a hidden gem, found it through a Facebook community group! Went around 1am, yes 1am. They open from 5pm to 3am. Food is authentic. Thai food. Give it a try!

I’ve been to many Thai restaurants around the world, This place is one of the top 3 I’ve ever had!! I found out that the chefs are professional cooks with over 20 yrs experience straight from Thailand, and you can taste it. From the Tom Yum, Tom kai, to the spring rolls to the pad Thai, I am beyond satisfied. Even their ice water with Lime was delicious. Our waiter “DA” was pleasant and courteous. Definitely my go to for Authentic Thai food.

Absolutely excellent restaurant. Food comes out hot and fresh. Was genuinely surprised at just how amazing everything tasted. Restaurant was clean and well kept and an awesome atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Food is very good, but it took a really long time to come. It was at least an hour after ordering before we got served.

The place is super clean and the food is very flavorful! The staff is very friendly. I highly recommend the shrimp tom yum soup! I will definitely be coming back.

Our friends recommend that we meet them at Roong Aroon Cafe. I must admit we were a little concerned when we pulled up to a slightly run down strip center. Immediately after walking through the door our concerns were put to rest. Food was just outstanding! It takes a few minutes longer to get your food but everything is prepared to order.

this place has taught me what a restaurant should be like! not only was the vibe and food amazing but the wait staff was so friendly. when i tell you coming here to eat dinner tonight made the bad day i was having better, i mean it! i ordered a pork pad thai and thai tea and both came out authentic and better than most places in the area i’ve tried. our waiter was also the nicest guy on the planet, letting us sit in there for hours because my car broke down. anyone searching for thai food in the area, look no further, this is the place!

My son had a late basketball tournament and to our surprise this restaurant was open till 3a. We went in about 1130p to dine in. The restaurant was clean and food and service were incredible. We'll definitely go back. We had the chicken spring rolls, chicken fried rice, and chicken noodle soup. All were made fresh and delicious.

After a long time, there is finally an excellent Thai place in the area. This is definitely a much needed addition, and I hope they continue to do well here. The pad thai was beautifully done and it was a generous portion. I will be returning here time and time again to try everything on the menu.

Waiter was attentive and friendly.
Food was 10/10. I had the Pad see eww and the noodles were not mushy and thick like some places. They were perfect texture. And the sauce was soo good.
The Tom Yum Soup with chicken was packed with flavor as well. Definitely will be back. So glad we gave it a try. Definitely family friendly as well.

One of the best Thai restaurants

We were out late, looking for a late night dinner. Found this place that was opened till 3 am. What Asian restaurant opens till 3 am? We went to check it out. We were not disappointed! Very friendly service! We ordered the rad-na (fry noodle in sauce with pork & veggies). It was very flavourful, apparently they make their own noodles. Noodles were very good, we very much enjoyed the dish. We also ordered the Minced pork omelette on rice. A simple dish packed with flavour, we polished off both dishes. The server was very good, kept checking on us to ask us how the food was. Apparently this is a family run restaurant. The parents used to be chef at a hotel in Thailand. Very worthwhile to check them out. We are coming back tomorrow for dinner again. It’s that good!

Authentic Thai food, BEST in Florida!! We are Seattle transplants who have been missing the authentic Thai/asian food that Washington State graciously provided. For the past 4 years we have been disappointed time after time by the low par Thai food in here Florida. We had the opportunity to try this new restaurant after reading the raving reviews. We have now been back multiple times!!! The food, service and ambiance are unmatched. In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in Florida. We look forward to being regulars at this delicious restaurant!

First tine here. The waiter was so personable and very helpful! The food was outstanding! The pork skewers are to die for! Seriously get them you won’t be sorry. Pork was so tender with great flavor. The Thai dumplings were thick and tasty. I had the pad see ew & it was the best I ever had. The waiter said that they hand make the noodles and I will dream about those noodles until I have them again. They were so delicate and soft. My friend had the pad Thai. Got some pineapple fried rice to go. Can’t wait to go back & explore the rest of the menu. Worth every penny. Chill atmosphere. They are open till 3 AM!

Stopped in here last night and I’m still dreaming of the food. Came in with my family and we went ahead and ordered everything lol. The pad kee, curry, wings, ginger chicken and woah everything was a banger nice price and nice portion size. Family owned and we will be back. We live in Zephyrhills and don’t have this quality there so we will happily pull up on this joint. The service was A1 and the vibes.

My husband and I love Thai food. We are so excited to have a place close to home. We had the veggie rolls, which were crispy, with fresh veggies and perfectly seasoned. He ordered the drunken noodles, with made-in-house noodles, which were amazing! I had the panang curry, with fried tofu, which was delicious with just the right amount of spice. We will be back!

Ordered Chicken Pad Thai via Uber Eats and the Pad Thai was phenomenal. I always believe pad Thai is one of those dishes you have to eat fresh at the moment and even as a take out the dish was so delicious and still juicy.

Possibly the best Thai food in the Tampa area. There are not many options around Lutz for good Thai but we were happy to see the new sign up driving down 54. We picked up takeout on a Monday night with low expectations as they just opened. We were pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere inside and the amazing customer service. We tried the pad-see-ew which was phenomenal. It had the correct amount of spice, and was loaded with chicken and vegetables. We also tried the panang curry which was just as great. The portion sizes can easily be separated into 2 meals and you can’t beat the prices for food of this quality. This is a new favorite spot and we’re looking forward to dining in soon. We had to wait for our order a little longer than the estimated time but it was well worth the wait. Good food takes time!

Recently visited the new Roong Aroon Thai spot that just opened up in our area, and I'm beyond excited to share my experience, hoping to convince more people to give this gem a try!

First off, we started with the Thai Dumplings, which were a revelation - juicy, tender, surprisingly large, and utterly delicious.

Then, the Tom Yum soup with shrimp didn't disappoint either, boasting generous portions of shrimp and a broth that was rich in flavors.

For mains, we indulged in Pad Thai with chicken and a Massamun Chicken Curry. Both dishes were served in huge portions, packed with meat. The curry, in particular, had a tender flavor that felt very authentic and just melted in the mouth.

What also stood out was the design of the place - clean, modern, very bright, and comforting. It creates a welcoming atmosphere that complements the dining experience perfectly.

Special shoutout to our waiter, Nattanon (he likes to be called Da), whose cheerful demeanor, helpfulness, and professionalism added so much to our visit. He gave us some great suggestions and was attentive to our preferences.

For anyone in Wesley Chapel, Lutz, and all nearby areas, I can't recommend this place enough. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy fantastic Thai cuisine.

Yay!!! Finally, a nice sit down Thai restaurant that's near Lutz/Land O lakes. They're open late, so it's a great spot to grab a relaxing late night bite. They have boba, smoothies, frappes, and a variety of tea. The food was delicious. Very friendly service. Very clean restaurant. Will definitely be coming back ❤️

This was their 6th day open and we came in at 10pm and it's like we had our own private restaurant because people don't know about this hidden gem as yet! Food was A+ and service was the fastest just as if they were waiting for us to come here! I highly recommend this lit spot open late til 11pm 7 days a week! I had the drunken noodles in which they said they hand make their own noodles! Yum 😋 😋 😋

Delicious food and friendly staff. I’m basic so I just got the Pad Thai with chicken and a Thai milk tea with boba but it was all executed perfectly. Will be coming back soon to try many other dishes.

This place has only been open for 4 days and i already know I’ve found my new favorite Thai restaurant. Service and food is INCREDIBLE. My partner and i got lavender milk tea, Hokkaido milk tea are brilliant. As well as the pad see ew and papaya salad. When you get Thai hot they definitely deliver on that slice level so don’t play yourself~

Beautiful scenery, amazing food, and perfect service would 100% recommend to anyone reading worth checking out.
