I no longer recommend this restaurant. I still gave 3 stars because the sauces and flavors are very good. I have dined here and gotten take out for several years. On 2/14/25, I got takeout and noticed that the prices had risen AND the portions had shrunk. I absolutely understand the rising prices due to inflation; however, it upsets me when a restaurant also sacrifices the quality of food. I paid $21 for shrimp fried rice and it had 6 tiny pieces of shrimp buried in a whole lot of rice. I paid around $19 for tofu curry, also overpriced, as tofu remains a very inexpensive protein. We will not be returning here. There are a couple of other local Thai/Vietnamese places that I can go to instead.

We ordered take out, the shokuh roll was not fresh and tasted off. The volcano roll was falling apart and the cooked salmon tastes super fishy. I also order the chicken teriyaki which was only grilled chicken with a small sauce on the side. It came with a side of “vegetable” and white rice which was tasteless. My tab was $70.00 for take out. I was expecting way better.
The steam dumplings were okay and the spicy tuna was eatable, but other than that I will Not recommend this restaurant. Such a shame.

If you are looking for a good Japanese and Thai place to eat, this is the right place. the food is excellent, I was looking for ceviche and there I found a delicious Japanese Ceviche, the appetizers are very delicious I love them.

This is a perfect place to eat with your family.

I love Thai Shokun, the food is excellent and the owners are absolutely lovely. I order sushi from there twice a month and I crave it!

We come here for the past 3 1/2 , food is always great and the staff super nice and friendly.

I've seen this place multiple times as I shop in the plaza all the time and eat at the Greek restaurant on the corner. I wanted to do something different so we ordered takeout I got the volcano chicken which was horrible too much breading a very large portion with no chicken and was bland and the volcanic chili sauce smell like it was tainted we ordered the egg fried rice and we found a large hair which look like it was from a beard. My wife ordered the teriyaki chicken with a super small portion and had no flavor at all. The soft shell crab wasn't even a full crab it was one crab cut in half with too much breading. And whatever sauce came with it tasted really bitter. My daughter's ordered some pad Thai with beef and the meat was undercooked. The rangoons were horrible look like they hadn't changed the grease in months. Before we found the hair and the egg fried rice it had a funny smell and smell like it was burnt. I spent over $100 ordering takeout and I'm very disappointed. I will never go back to this place. I should have known when the whole entire restaurant was empty when we walked in. As we sat and waited a kind gentleman walked up to us and offered us a drink which I would have ordered one if I wanted to after a long day's work but I figured why not. He told the hostess and she proceeded to grab me a soda which I thought he was offering as a kind gesture as we waited and she proceeded to charge before it almost $3 for a can of soda. The amount of money I just spent at this restaurant to enjoy a nice dinner and something of a change has become a huge disappointment. I do not recommend this restaurant at all. Gross

Just stopped in for lunch and I must say probably one of the best pad Thai I've had in Palm Beach county, I also enjoyed a salmon skin hand roll which was absolutely fantastic. I'll definitely be coming back and bringing some friends

So we went to a Thai restaurant in the same plaza as the other restaurant we went to thaishokun and we were so happy with the food and the waiter Norma that we will return here in the near future

We started off with a simple delicious Thai salad followed by Tom yum soup with chicken
Follow by a Stir Fried cashew chicken with cashew nuts
My grandson loves the yakuza roll , salmon roll, and the Naha Hama hand roll my daughter had the Nixon pad Thai with loads of sauce
I had a Thai beer
The bill was Amazing inexpensive 79 bucks for the three of us

The sushi nacho dish is crazy delicious!!! Fresh fish, cilantro, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions in a wonderfully tangy dressing. So refreshing, but hearty. Freshly fried wonton skins for the chips, with a side of sweet sauce! YUMMMM!

Overall the food is good here “if you dine in” however the Togo service needs some help. The one hostess (American) has a bad attitude- definitely shouldn’t be a head of the house presence with her derogatory comments and bad attitude!! Something is always forgotten with my order…..always! Inside dining and outside dining should be the same: Get a soup/salad inside with your meal you should get the same for takeout- OR CHANGE UR TOGO menu….it’s false advertisement!! 3rd mistake in a month with Togo…. will not be ordering take out anymore-

I started off ordering a lemonade that costs extra compared to a regular drink thinking it was gonna be freshly squeezed and it turned out to be the powder lemonade that you just add to water and stir. Our appetizer was ok but I wouldn't order it again, it was the steamed pork gyoza. We ordered sushi and a order of pad Thai. The Pad Thai came with a soup that kind of looked like dirty dish water. It wasn't very appetizing. The Pad Thai was again ok but the noodles felt a little too soggy and it was just sweet. Though I would not say I'm an expert when it comes to Pad Thai it just didn't taste as great as other places I've been to in South Florida.

The service was not good. Our waitress seemed very rude and would just plop our food on the table and leave without even acknowledging us as I tried to ask for my bill. The place wasn't even that busy as they had just opened we were the first customers of the afternoon. She just seemed really rude for no reason, and we tried being polite, but some people just have bad days.

The mural on the wall was kind of cool but there was paint splattered on the booths below it which made the place look kind of dirty. Also there was also a weird stench coming from the area in the back, perhaps there was a bathroom there, but the odor was noticeable and not pleasant, especially while eating.

For the price and quality of the food and service I wouldn't recommend. It looked interesting with the bar area on the inside but I probably won't ever come back again and I don't recommend you visit either.

I mentioned this to the waitress when I sat down. She only lowered the volume. As I was leaving after my meal I spoke to the proprietor. She apologized. -My original review: An excellent lunchtime experience. Very pleasant atmosphere with booths, tables, or seating at the sushi bar. Pleasant instrumental jazz music. The box lunch ($14.95) consists of your choice of one Thai entree selection and one Japanese entree selection. I chose chicken pad Thai and sashimi. Also included is a dumpling with dipping sauce, a dozen edamame, rice, and choice of miso soup or salad. Generous pad Thai portion was very delicious. Medium spicy has a kick, so order accordingly to your taste. Sashimi (6 pieces) was very good but the pieces were a bit small. Overall I was very pleased and not at all hungry when I left.

Love the food at this little Sushi /Thai joint. Usually enjoy thier lunch specials but tonigh was a nice dinner for three. We started with the steamed pork dumplings, wonton soups and 4 rolls to share. And even had a Pad Thai to go.

Not what it used to be. The sushi rolls were loose and falling apart. The presentation was severely lacking compared to what I remember. My pad Thai didn’t have fresh lime, bean sprouts or the edible flower that used to come with it. They raised the prices and lowered the quality.

Gauging prices😡 i have order from this restaurant for years. During the closure of the pandemic I was one of their few customers at lunch time. I always order the same three items., the price of the lunch went from $11.40 to $17.90 from one week to another. They prized me out of their lunch… unfair to their customers! 🙁

Got there early on a Saturday and still took almost 2 hours to get out food for a table of 2 and my son's was wrong after all of that. Watched at least 6 tables walk out.

If I could give less stars, I would. They never have a sushi chef in time, delivery and pick up is over an hour delayed consistently and the customer service is horrible. Plenty of other better sushi restaurants that are consistent time wise.

This is by far the best Thai food in town, love the Pad Thai, fried rice, the curry the Woonsen salad is Amazin!! Much better than before not sure if they got a new chef but it much better the whole family agrees.

Me and my dad went to Thai Shokun together after he got back from a business trip. The fried rice was the most busting cuisine i’ve ever had in the thai food industry. The rice noodles were cooked to perfection and i will be returning every weekend.

Me and my twin went together and it was amazing. We the food and staff are amazing and we didn’t wait long.

The food here is delicious, I’ve had the fried snapper with garlic sauce( to die for!). The shrimp pad Thai delicious, the shrimp pineapple stir fried so good. Second time there and still satisfied. Highly recommended

I just ordered the lunch box with pad thai chicken which was pretty bad. It was loaded with thick pieces of chicken and the noodles were soggy. The California roll just fell apart. I would never order from this place again. So disappointed since it’s the closest Thai place to the house.

Very poor experience

Tonight, our family ordered take out from Thai Shokun. We ordered on the Beyond Menu app. The nice thing about ordering from the app is that you can see exactly what you are ordering and you will know if you added something incorrectly or if you missed something.

Our experience was very poor. My chicken teriyaki portion was small and it was very blah. My brother in law ordered volcanic chicken and he got a massive portion but it was mainly just breading and very little chicken. My sister in law ordered Udon soup with shrimp and she was given Udon with chicken. My mother in law ordered the Shasimi Dinner for $25 and it was the smallest portion I have ever seen.

This meal and experience was so underwhelming that we will not be going back.

Amazing local Thai restaurant with great food and exceptional staff. The vegetable rolls and shrimp tempura rolls are very delicious with the eel sauce.

After two previously wonderful experiences, we ordered takeout for a family birthday. I don’t know if the chef was off that day but the only good thing was the Crab Rangoon. The Pad Thai reeked of fish sauce yet it was dry and unappetising. The chicken teriyaki was unrecognizable- pieces of overcooked rubbery chicken, some steamed vegetables to the side and a container of “teriyaki” sauce which tasted like honey and soy sauce. The four stars were for the earlier experiences, otherwise it would be one star. We’ll try the restaurant again in the hope that this was an aberration.

Ordered two rolls- an hour and a half later it was ready and we picked it for us to get a call to turn around because they gave us the wrong order. We never got our food and asked for a refund…I visit this area often and won’t be ordering from here ever again. I can’t believe the rolls we had they asked to bring back so they can give it to someone else- so disgusting and unacceptable.

Ordered pick up. After an hour and half wait we got a refund and no food. Was told there was only one chef in tonight but they wouldn't discount or do anything for me. Would not recommend or will not be going there myself.

We ordered take out tonight and waited over an hour (said it would be 30 minutes). Received our food and my cucumber roll was a disaster. Every single piece fell apart. There were small pieces raw salmon on the sides of my roll. My Kani salad was thrown together like whoever was making food was in such a rush. Nothing tasted fresh. Really disappointed in our experience with this restaurant tonight.

Thai Shokun is heavenly, the dinner was positively superb and the service was great. We look forward to our next visit!

We made a takeout order. We found two different hairs among and inside the rolls when we unpacked the order: one light medium length and one black long. At least thanks that the hair is not pubic, that's why not one star. Rolls are scattered, they are small. I wonder who leaves positive reviews?

No it wasn’t l spoke with the restaurant and they said that they no longer gave a salad with the meal. $40 for 2 dishes and no salad. Well l will no longer order from this restaurant. Food was not tasty either.

This is my first time ordering from this place. My order was wrong so I called this place I paid $52 for 12 pieces of fish and the lady that answered was rude and told me that the chef said my order was right...never again horrible service.

Never been to a Japanese/Thai restaurant spent over 100 dollars just for me and my wife and 2 year to eat and left hungry . Sushi / sashimi portions are comical . The rolls you have to put 2 pieces together to make a bite . Daughters katsu chicken was cold . Will not return .

We typically LOVE this place however as other have mentioned do not order to go. Tonight is the second time we have ordered with Uber Eats and after waiting for over 2 hours on both occasions for the order and both times multiple drivers cancel as the order is never ready for pick up. They have a weird system we’re the orders must be placed by the Uber driver once they arrive. So if u r looking for dine in it will be great otherwise stay away.

I got the teriyaki chicken which was overly dry and incredibly sweet, NOT WORTH 15$!

Unfortunately I don’t think they are keeping CDC guidelines, chef and person attending for take out orders not wearing masks, waiter wearing mask not covering nose, the same person who’s taking the orders is all over the place within the restaurant and outside, opening and closing door, as well as charging you and giving you change back. Regarding the food not even ok, after waiting for 1 1/2 hours for take out, hot food was cold, shrimps tempura really bad, order wasn’t even complete, approx10 people waiting for orders outside including DD guy who waited over 1 hour just like us, maybe they thought it wasn’t going to be busy and didn’t have enough workers for that day. The most important thing not safe for COVID spreading. Definitely not going back.

The sushi and food is always fresh, clean tasting and delicious! It's affordable great tasting sushi, how can you beat that?

Don’t come to this restaurant! Came here and they had me waiting for over an hour and a half fo sushi rolls and never got them. Waited for 30 minutes to even get them to ask for our order, then another 45 where the food didn’t arrived and was told that in 5 minutes will be ready and never got it. We ordered 6 different rolls and a curry. Got the curry after the 45 minutes and then never got the sushi. After having us waiting for all this time we canceled the order, we tried to speak to the manager to see if she wanted to at least show some interest in the time we wasted and at least get the curry for free since we had to cancel the order and they didn’t. Will never come back to this place again.

P.D. Went to another sushi restaurant after that and in less than 10 minutes we had our order in the table.

Great atmosphere the service was awesome and the food delicious.

Tom Kha seafood soup is awesome! Crab Rangoon and Steamed Dumplings are very, very good. Excellent restaurant with delicious sushi and great service.

Ppl are always friendly at this place and the food is always well prepared

Sushi Yami is still my favorite, but I will give it to them, I have cheated on my sushi place for Thai Shokun. All around good food and people.
