We calculated around $80 dollars. On the card scanner the price came out to $107. When my husband asked for the receipt to be printed, she comes back, the price of course goes down $20 and when my husband tells her to look at the difference, she gets flustered. When the charge went through, she noticed my husband didn’t put tip (we usually tip with cash) she starts hassling us, repeatedly asking “why?” if we ate and enjoyed the food. The second I started telling her she’s trying to overcharge us, she raised her voice at me and started walking away.

Mind you, the waitress and the woman who was charging us are not the same person. Tipping is not in any way an issue, but automatically adding a 20% without letting us know, then acting dumb when we notice what you’re doing??? Wild.

Ask for a paper receipt to avoid being scammed.

Recently went there to try a new sushi place and originally thought it was really nice. First impression was nice. The prices were actually really good but the menu was HUGE. They had too many options. We got some soup and right as we started eating we found A ROACH CRAWLING ON OUR TABLE. It turned the rest of the meal really bad. I went to the women’s restroom and there was a dead roach on the floor and it wasn’t even actually hand soap. It was baby shampoo and body wash? Came back to the table and noticed that the cook out in the sushi bar was microwaving food. The food did not taste fresh. It tasted a little stale. The owners were really nice tho but we are not coming back.

Please add photos to the menu.. I ordered chicken red curry with fried rice but instead I was given a tub of pink coconut milk with a few plain white chicken (no flavor) and mushy fried rice (no flavor) . Was not impressed.

TERRIBLE IS THE MOST UNPLEASANT VERY BAD TASTE IN MOUTH for the second time we visited the place with my family and it was a very bad decision, terrible service, the comfortable 4/10, the unfriendly atmosphere and the waitress P'wang terrible she took the audacity to charge me twice the 18% tip when I asked her maybe it was a mistake she manipulated the machine so that I always had the same amount I gave her NO TIP and tried to give her cash which she rejected and she practically told me she kicked us out of the place because if it's not 18% or more THEY DON'T WANT ANYTHING !!!

Tried this place on our first night in town. We got in just in time before close to order takeout. Service was amazing - and the food was even better! It was so good - we ate it our last night of our week stay again! Highly recommend the supreme rainbow roll and the pad kee mao (drunken noodles).

Great place to go! You should definitely try it, everything was perfect! Sushi was very fresh and tasty and didn’t take long at all. Fried rice was delicious too. Don’t hesitate to try dessert too. Our server Nato (sorry, if I misspelled the name) was very attentive and nice. Overall we had a great time, thank you ! :)

Suvi Thai and Sushi is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Homestead, serving up authentic Thai dishes alongside a variety of other culinary delights. Their Pad Woon Sen with a level 4 spice is a personal favorite, as well as the uniquely named Homestead sushi roll. The beverage selection is commendable, featuring a good range of beer, wines, and sake to complement your meal. Plus, the addition of a hibachi grill adds another layer of appeal to their diverse menu. It's absolutely a place worth visiting for a memorable dining experience.

I went with a group of 7 and it was fun to all sit around the table grill while the chef entertained us with his knife and cooking skills. Our food was delicious. The grilled shrimp was my favorite. Others in my group enjoyed the salmon.

Been here several times over the years and only have good things to say. I honestly think SUVI is a hidden gem. It's always slow when I get there, however the quality of their rolls is pretty great, good portions, low price for sushi, and servers are always super kind and welcoming! I wish more people knew about it.

Totally empty restaurant at 6pm on a Wednesday evening was weird.
We didn't order sushi because we were concerned about the freshness of the fish. We didn't want yesterday's leftovers.
What we did order was tasty. Obviously excellent service because we were the only table.
It seemed that there were only two people available to wait on tables and it is a fairly large place, so if it
It did get busy, the service might be slower.
The server told us we got there before they get usually get busy after 7pm.
That didn't happen
There is also a separate Hibachi steak grill room that was closed.

Thai papaya salad, Tom kha soup, Basil Pork, Green Thai curry, veg sushi. Salad was not fresh, soup was made with canned coconut milk, veg sushi had nothing in it and was priced at $1.25 for each piece. Basil Pork and green curry was good.

Pad thai was delicious, and my sister lived the Florida sushi roll.

Susi, a worker here, invited me to Thailand. I would really love to go. But until then, she gave me a wonderful experience thru the exotic flavors and seasonings of the region. I went in thinking they only served meat, only to discover a varied vegetarian menu.

Where do I start. First impressions, it looks like a cafeteria. There is no wait. Now I know why. Then the soup was bland. Had 1 noodle. The salad was ok. Then the churrasco and sirloin and chicken was bland. Even their pink sauce was bland. You thought it was mayo with a dab of ketchup. When it came to pay, the machine added a "service fee" of $11.32. I asked what this was for, but the asian waitress didn't understand and just gave me an annoyance look. So I paid with tip. I looked at my digital receipt after I left and that fee turned out to be an 18% gratuity. So I ended up paying over 30% tip. But got that resolved from my bank.

I had sushi, which was beautifully presented. Our server was from Thailand and shared lovely stories and history about Thai food. Really nice experience here.

This food is excellent and the service is superb!

Don't know what their deal is, but something changed. Used to have great pad thai, but they've either changed the recipe or lost their cooks to the new, better thai place across the street. It tastes absolutely disgusting, as does the rest of the $50 worth of food I had to throw out. Gonna go get checked for parasites now.

Clean and fresh. Dedinition of hole in the wall. I was pleasantly surprised by the inside. Very well lite and clean. Food was fresh not greasy. I had the volcano chicken and white rice. Homestead roll is also a hit and worth a try. Service was great and very attentive.

Really convenient, good food and very kind owner that provide good service. I like the prices and take out is always on time and ready when I call ahead.

This is my favorite restaurant in South Florida! Everything about this restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful
presentation, gleaming cleanliness.
Their Sushi is packed with mouthwatering flavor. I've had the Suvi Roll, Dragon Roll, Rainbow Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, Shrimp and Vegetables, Fried Chicken, and Suvi Honey Chicken, all of which were amazing!
I highly recommend Suvi Thai Sushi to everyone, you will not be disappointed.

We have eaten here 3 times and all 3 times have been excellent! The sushi is delicious and very fresh! I also have had the suvi honey chicken, which was delicious, fresh and crispy (not soggy). My 3 year old, who is a picky eater, really enjoys the kids meal (which is fresh and homemade). I highly recommend! Also, the service is always great!

I love it! My spring rolls were spot on and my chicken came out perfectly cooked, not chewy or weird. My husband loved his sushi and soup and we had the Thai tea for dessert and it was perfect. The restaurant has a habachi attached on the side and it's decorated nicely and clean. I love it.

We had a wonderful dining experience. It was our first time there, and the sushi was superb and was presented beautifully. The sushi chef also provided excellent service and presented us the food himself. The waitress was excellent and provided a great experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food was priced perfect and tasted great and fresh.

It wasn’t really the Hibachi experience. Our cook didn’t speak. We had to ask for the flame. We brought our son for the first time and just expected more. The food was good. Dishes weren’t really clean.

I only had thai dishes. No sushi or hibachi so I can't comment on those. I had pad thai which was the best dish. It was average. I had jungle curry and panang curry. The jungle curry was ok but the panang was really bad. It was salty. No sweetness to it at all. Thom kah soup was bland.

Not a great experience. Service was decent. But food was quite bland. Prices on the menu didn’t match what was charged on the check. One meal was to come with soup or salad, but it never came. I assumed that was out of date on the menu; however, on the check it was notated that I had asked for no soup or salad.
Chicken was barely seasoned and chili dipping sauce was very likely just out of a bottle from Publix. Some of the rice wasn’t cooked all the way through.

Food was meant service was good they were attentive I personally wouldn't come back but it's not terrible.

Ate here on the way down to see the Florida Keys. They were super nice, and had great vegan options on the full menu (not as apparent on the lunch menu, but as soon as I asked, they brought out the full menu to show me). They were very friendly, and I ultimately got the veggie sushi boat - it was huge, but so inexpensive and very beautifully done - $13 for a large selection! Terrific! My sis got the volcano chicken and miso came with it, and she said it was really tasty and had a nice cilantro hint to the flavor. We shared the veggie spring roll appetizer, and it was also delicious! Would go again if I found myself in the area!

Everything was very fresh. I had the papaya salad as a starter and the only thing I could critique is that it was somewhat swimming in liquid. Otherwise the freshness and flavor were there. I left a clean plate. Everything else came out quickly and was made to order. I'll definitely be coming back here again and again!

The place looks rundown and we were greeted by and older gentleman. I'm not sure if there's someone working in the back but seems he took our order and cooked it himself. The food itself was very good and the guy was very a ttentive to us but as more customer came in, they did have to wait for a bit.

Great service. We sat on the habachi side and the service was very good. The kids were impressed with the habachi chef. We also had some sushi rolls and they were good, especially the homestead roll it had tempura shrimp and crispy flakes on top. We enjoyed everything and would definitely go back. They close earlier than we remember (9pm) but still a great place.

Food was decent, but they added an 18% tip to our bill automatically (for a party of 2), while there were still sections of "suggested tips" at the bottom of the bill and the final bill misleadingly mentioned the total as the "pre-tip amount". This is misleading to the customer who may not be paying close attention. When we pointed this out, we were told that it's commonly done "in this area". I doubt this, since that would make it illegal.

The sushi here is great, the waitress is always nice. The service is a little slower but good food. They have hibachi on one side too. The hibachi side was not so good though. It was like a Spanish fried rice and the cook didn't speak English or ask how we wanted our meat cooked.

A gem in Homestead. I absolutely love the Hibachi and Sushi here. Friendly staff and the chef is amazing as well.

I’m not usually the one to give a bad review, but there are many things I need to point out which was disappointing.

Firstly, the food was very mediocre. The portions were VERY small for a expensive-ish price. The curry was diluted and bland, lacking salt.

The thing that really made me angry was a 13% gratuity/tip that was NOT mentioned. I remember specifically reading in the menu that only parties of 6 and more are charged gratuity. But they charged everyone gratuity without telling us anywhere.

A dinner this size that would usually cost us $50 was $90 here.

I’m sad to give a bad review but this needs to be voiced.

Beautiful building structure nice atmosphere and great service, has a separate room for Hibachi although we chose regular dining, food was excellent and delicious with a great presentation, and a wide selection, plenty to choose from.

When I ordered another roll I told the lady no cream cheese and she said I told her to put a little bit of cream cheese on my salmon roll and she said the sushi chef is not cooking anymore for me and my son and then she was very rude disrespectful very poor customer service.

This place does not close at 9:30 .. they better change their hours on google. I arrived at the restaurant with my family at 9:15, and they told us the kitchen is closed and turn us away.

The food i had was terrible, the noodle salad was more like a soup and i had to spit it out the second i tasted it, like the worst rotten fish flavor but it was supposed to be chicken. I love thai food but this was a waste of money and painful for my tastebuds to endure. I get lunch to not be hungry. The miso soup was flavorless but at least edible.

The 1 star on this review goes to the chef who was great with the kids. To make a long story short $210 bill split into 3 tickets for a party of 2. It made no sense. the waitress did not know how to split a check so we had to use their calculator to break it down for them. They refused to take my wife’s card even thought the card had her name on it. I had to hand the waitress my wife’s card so that we could pay our bill. cabbage soup with a noodle in it ,salad, bland fried rice, bland steak and chicken. No refill on drinks was offered. The waitress did not even remove plates from the table. We had to clear our own plates to take a picture. Tip is automatically added to your tab maybe this is why they don’t care about service. There is a reason why it’s always empty and you can walk right in with no wait. This place is gets. 2x👎👎
