Thai Spice is honored to receive the “Five Star Diamond Award” in 2020, and is the first and only Thai restaurant in the world with this award! The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences is the world’s premiere organization for awarding excellence in travel, cuisine, luxury products and services.
My family and I absolute had an amazing experience for my birthday luncheon. It was actually my second time there. The food was so delicious! Rico was the best server! He was so attentive and polite. He made it a special birthday experience. I highly recommend this restaurant due to the high quality of the food and excellent service.
Nice experience tonight at Thai Spice. The menu was mixed so I'll sure everyone will find something to their liking. Our waiter demonstrated knowledge of the menu and was all around good. The bill included a 3.85% fee for non-cash payments. This is quite suspect and I believe against merchant service agreements.
I enjoy coming here. The food is amazing and my go to is calamari 😍 all their food choices are delicious AND they have some veggies options as well!
My food had a roach in it and I will not order again the food was wonderful for 3 years up until I found a Roach and I don't care how much the manager try to discredit my review.
Be very careful i found a roach in my food after 3 years of eating at this place needles to say i will not return back I'm so disappointed because I really did enjoy the food.
orderded take out because my local place within walking distance seemed to be closed......this was the worst pad thai I've ever had!!!
Excellent food came out very hot and very tasty definitely would go back.

Do not do business with them. Owner Mike doesn't care about making sure the customer is happy. Over a simple Groupon dispute
Must be under new management. Food has gone down in quality pretty significantly
We had an excellent wait person, a great table, and the food was sizzling hot.
I had high hopes for Thai Spice, but unfortunately, my experience was far from enjoyable. The food was nothing short of horrible. The spring rolls were an oily soggy mess.
As for the beef red curry, it was an even bigger disappointment. The menu claimed it was made with filet mignon, but what I received tasted more like liver. The meat was tough, chewy, and completely unappetizing—definitely not filet mignon as advertised.
Overall, this was an unpleasant dining experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Save your money and dine elsewhere.
Great place! Love the food, The atmosphere and the staff. Eat on the rooftop if it's a nice day. Very pleasant experience.
Dim and intimate atmosphere, amazing food and great customer service. Perfect for a date night!
Dinner in and take out meals are both consistently high quality
On January 13th, 2025, around 12:46 p.m., I visited my favorite neighborhood restaurant, Thai Spice, after a two-year hiatus. The parking lot was full, so I had to park my Tesla in the back for the first time. No big deal, though, because I was determined to get my favorite dish, Yum Nua.
Upon entering the restaurant and informing the host that I wanted to sit outside, I wish I’d thought twice. It seems like when you sit outside, they either forget you exist or blame you for their busyness. That’s exactly what happened next. I sat there for about 8 minutes without water or being greeted. My server, Nahuel, finally came outside. I was already hangry and a bit disappointed that it took so long to get greeted or offered water. But I let it go because my mind was still set on my favorite dish. It was also my first time dining there early and seeing Nahuel. I usually sit at the bar and am served by Ray, or his wife. I’m known to be a very generous tipper. I’ve enjoyed every experience being bartended by Ray, and my order and time there have never been anything less than great until yesterday.
So, when Nahuel came outside, I heard him let out a long sigh. Then, he approached my table. Instead of greeting me and apologizing for the delay, he said, “I was dealing with hot food inside.” And then, he took my order. I didn’t look at him because I was extremely hungry, a little upset, and just wanted my food to come out good.
I always get the same thing. My order never changes! I always order the beef salad medium well, medium hot, or Thai hot with a side of Jasmine rice with red wine.
I had a rather unpleasant experience at your restaurant. The ordering process felt rushed, and I wasn’t even asked about my preferred temperature for the filet. This is quite surprising, as I’ve noticed that every server, bartender, and door host I’ve encountered has always asked about my preferred cooking temperature. It’s frustrating when they assume I like my meat medium, as I don’t and have never ordered it that way. The texture of the filet was slimy, and there was a noticeable difference in taste. I always order the same dish, so I’m confident that I can detect any changes in quality. The amount of lime juice in the dish was also quite low, and I had specifically asked for limes. Instead, I received the driest limes I’ve ever had. Those didn’t work, so I asked the server to bring out the chili boat with all the Thai spices. As he was showing me each sauce, there was a long piece of light brown hair sticking out of the sauce. He immediately took it back after my disgust. After eating half of my beef salad because I was starving, I asked him why he hadn’t asked me about my preferred temperature. I explained that the texture was slimy and that I never order my steak medium. He then told me quote for quote “My Manager said that’s not a question we ask.” Oh it isn’t? Then how have I been asked by every other excellent server or worker in that building. Someone is lying, and I don’t appreciate that. I asked Nahuel how long he’d been serving there, and he said 6 months. It made sense, but it didn’t quite add up. He seemed extremely rude and flustered while insisting that his manager come outside to talk to me instead of apologizing for forgetting to ask a paying customer what temperature they’d like the steak THE GUEST is paying for. I wasn’t feeling the vibe, so I even held off on ordering the red wine I usually get. I then asked for the check, and he handed me an iPad so quickly and rudely that I felt uncomfortable signing while being stared at to see IF I’m tipping. Even if the service is bad, it’s not in my character to not tip. I gave him 20% instead of what I normally give. I hope you don’t make any other guests feel uncomfortable in this establishment that they’ve been dining in longer than the servers have worked there, and I hope the managers are better at leading their new servers to being the best at resolving problems and not making the guests feel unwelcomed.
Service was excellent. The waiter was great. Ordered a chicken with bacon appetizing it was drier than the Gobi desert. It's like they fried it. It was hanging around and then they refried it. The grilled calamari was delicious. Chicken curry was very good. Portions was excellent and tasty but I was disappointed they served me that appetizer. But all in all it was good. Needs an overhaul inside.
Always a good experience.
Great lunch, fairly priced. Fresh food, great service.
Very disappointed that they would not accept a local flavor coupon until Jan 7 They already lowered the value percent of the coupon now, they won't take it until after Jan 7th. After going there for so many years and recommending them their selfish stupidly has lost me and the good will I gave them.
Excellent
Always goof food…. But….
Crowded
Expensive
Noisy
There are other fine establishments
This Thai restaurant USED to be good (operative word being “used”) but not anymore. Service is horrible and most bearers over there talk to you like they are doing you a favor.
They completely messed up our order when we went there this past Saturday. Everything was so spicy that it became totally inedible for us. When we told them that the spice level was not so high in the past, they just got argumentative and told us that nothing has changed.
Finally the manager had to be summoned who finally leveled with us and told us that they had mixed up our order with someone else.
Anyhow, I’m not going to visit this place
again. They totally ruined our evening and charged us $$$ for it. They charge you an automatic 3.8 percent fee on credit card payments, which they claim they’ll wave off in case one pays cash. Who carries cash to restaurants these days?!?!?
Last but not the least they charge you an automatic 20 percent gratuity on the after tax bill total for a party of six or over. In other words you pay gratuity on sales tax too at this place, it’s CRAZY.
I’m not going to endorse this god forsaken place to anyone going forward and I suggest you avoid this place too.
Thai food lover here; heard of Thai Spice and had to give it a try. In short, everything was exceptional . . . exquisite, well prepared, and innovative. Tried a plethora of items on the menu . . Appetizer was stuffed chicken wing, Thom Ka Gai soup, corn soup all delicious with great flavors. For dinner we enjoyed combination fried rice (a standout flavorwise if not the best I"ve had so far in our area) Siam Duck in Panang curry (to die for) and pork in panang curry. All dishes on the top tier spectrum of quality, authenticity and taste. Highly recommend Thai Spice restaurant; we'll have to re-visit and try MANY other things on the menu; I'm certain we won't be disappointed.
This is the first time I had to throw food away I thought I ordered crispy calamari instead I got sautéed calamari it was cold and taste less this restaurant I tried to get a refund for calamari but of course they denied me. I’ve only had the “crispy calamari and crab Rangoon and I wouldn’t recommend
Always a must-visit when we are in Ft Lauderdale. Fantastic food
Best Thai restaurant in SE Florida
Always a five star for me that ginger snapper hit differently with the vegetable fried rice and the staff was amazing very pleasant as usual I will always go there when I need a good fried snapper and they are super size muy grande
A real pleasant experience. Visited with some family and while the place is a bit out of Enter the Dragon in terms of winding, mirrored corridors the food is fresh from Thailand. The panang curry is a bit lemongrass forward but everything we tried was excellent, well presented and timely. Live music, great lighting and decor. Will be returning.
Very spice!
Great and fast service.
Always a great experience.
It’s ok. Regular dishes dressed up as fancy. 3 buddies was good but goopy.
Food ok nothing special. Our server was intrusive, like 20 times asking if everything was ok etc. Too much. Was impossible to speak
Everything was great. Highly recommend.
They mail out promotions and won’t honor.
Super , as usually!
The food is the best!
Best steak. Incredible flavor. Highly recommend.
The prices have increased over past few years but food is always good
Food is always delicious, especially the seafood. Service is also great, especially from Williana, Ilene, and their team mates. Some nights they have nice live music.
They kept me waiting for over an hour and then charged me.
The BEST food great value
Always consistent and Fresh
Happy hour great deal
Impeccable service, all waiters were such a delight. Food was outstanding, delivered on time, extremely fresh and the presentation was excellent. Mannerism was exceptional. The atmosphere was incredible, such a beautiful scenery; perfect!! Such a wonderful experience all around. Will definitely be returning.
Still good after all these years. Read other reviews about service we had very good service. Read about quality of food no issues with this either. One of the few local restaurants that haven’t faltered in quality or service.
Always the best place for great food, atmosphere and service. Went with two friends today and Nicholy as well as Rico were are servers. They were exceptional!!!!!! Love the place!
Been coming here for years and it’s just as good now as the past 10 years. One of the few restaurants in the area that have remained consistently fantastic after all these years.
Everything about this place is wonderful… the food is always fresh and rich in flavor. The service is friendly and welcoming, and if you go on the weekend they have live music which just adds to the experience.
great food
Good food, solid portions, good service. Mixed up a few food items, but got it straight in the end ..
Good Happy Hour and ambiance..update 2023. Happy Hour just as great, service great ,the Bartender Rey know his stuff. There was another guy replacing dishes etc. He was very attentive. Forgot his name. Wonderful place. Update 2024..prices have gone up but food and service great. With HH, dishes are served with elegance and charm.
I've been going here for years, it's always very good. Today it was extraordinary... period. I don't know if something's changed in ownership or management. It was so good I added another lunch for takeout for my wife. The only reason I didn't rate five stars is that they began adding a charge card service fee. As a consumer that's just in the cost of doing business. Again the food was excellent and the fee won't prevent me from returning but it doesn't bring a smile to my face as did the food and service.
Thai Spice is one of the finest Thai restaurants I've experienced! I ordered Vegetarian Spring Rolls Appetizer and Crispy Calamari with Basil, Spiciness Level 2 of 3. Both dishes were excellent, ingredients were fresh, and they tasted delicious. Servers were very attentive and polite. I've dined at this restaurant several times previously over the years and have always had good experiences. The ambiance is also memorable.
Food was great but a little dark inside.
I can't wait to have dinner here again in November.... I love the fried red snapper with side of tamarind sauce and the Thai peanut dressing was to die for...mmmm mmmm sooo good
Nice experience tonight at Thai Spice. The menu was mixed so I'll sure everyone will find something to their liking. Our waiter demonstrated knowledge of the menu and was all around good. The bill included a 3.85% fee for non-cash payments. This is quite suspect and I believe against merchant service agreements.
Wow I just ordered some Poor Man’s fried rice with chicken and it was sooooo amazing! I stuffed my face! I shared it with 3 people and we were all so extremely pleased and satisfied. The taste, the portion, the explosive flavor - it was perfect!!!! Thank you so much!! Shout out to the chef!!!!!!!! AMAZING!!!
Great food and great service! The portions are big too so i always leave with a full tummy, a to-go box, and a big smile on my lips.
This review was previously a negative one but I recently went to thai spice and it was great. The food was fantastic (aside from the lobster tail which was almost raw). They figured out their calamari problem which is great.
Came to Thai Spice for my brother's birthday and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant has a beautiful, warm atmosphere and everyone enjoyed their food immensely! Will definitely come again.
We ate outside in a small covered terrace. The outside atmosphere wasn't special, but the roof did keep off the rain. Waitstaff was attentive, refilling water constantly. They had an appetizer & drink happy hour special. I got the pad thai that came with chicken and shrimp. Huge portion. Tasty. I heard there was live music inside.
This is my go to for Thai food
Went here as our usual thai restaurant was out the door wait. First impression was not good there were 3 people at the front desk. There were a couple of people ahead of us not bad. Now 1 of the people in the front was a manager. They got the other people sat and they still have not acknowledged us we were there for at least 15 min we almost walked out. At least say hello and I will be with you shortly or something. Finally got seated our server was great got our drink order and then we ordered our food. I had pork and basil medium spice she got chicken panang curry medium spice as well. Everything was delicious perfect amount of heat and flavor was excellent! Great backup for when we want thai but can’t get into our usual spot. Definitely will return.
Awesome food, I lost my faith in Thai food when I was in Thailand and saw the real thing... I dropped Thai food from my favorite list, but this place restored my faith and my love for Thai food again
Roy and Ray the only two..the rest need service etiquette upon entering I was asked if I asked to sit here .umprofessional fish was amazing..
Food was much better in the past. Last visit it was acceptable but same quality as places half the price.
We have been to this delightful restaurant many times and have never been disappointed.
We always come away feeling satisfied with the food, the kind and professional service, and the beautiful atmosphere.
Thanks for providing us with a beautiful experience each and every time.
Simply incredible. Perfect service. Waters were filled promptly and often. The flavors of everything we tried: outstanding. The fried calamari, Tom Kha, and duck. The best. The ambience is dark, romantic, and exotic. A wonderful experience. Taken right to our table with no reservation. Likely that would not be an option during season. Parking was super limited. We can't wait to go back.
My lady and I went here for dinner this past Fiday. We had the coco shrimp, the outlaw rib-eye, and the chicken fried rice. Everything was excellent. The food the staff, and the lounge singer The only minor thing was the overhead light for our table. The light was extremely bright, and really did not match the other lighting in the restaurant. We will definitely be back. I also highly recommend making a reservation.
We arrived during happy hour in the bar area right after a party of 16 or so. The waiter was very busy so the hostess asked another waiter to look after us. GREAT customer service!
I had the triple lobster tails; plenty of food and delicious!
We had duck - so sweet! And chicken curry.
What a lovely meal and our waiter, Kyle, was superb!
Their Happy Hour Menu has increased dramatically in price! NO MORE 2 FOR 1. Have never seen it so slow in the years I have come here. So sad we won't be returning any time soon.
Great happy hour
It is our favorite happy hour spot! My husband LOVES the Friday soup of the day and we both love the curry puffs (we each have to get our own...too good to share 😉)
Just got Uber eats order from Thai Spice....2 mains and 1 appetizer $130, not including delivery/tip....issues with each of the dishes. The picture of the 3 shrimp are the $26 grilled shrimp app - taste was ok. The $50 whole fried snapper is pictured - undercooked and soggy. The curry was ordered medium, was so hot - couldnt eat it. Everything came with 2 small containers of white rice.
I called the restaurant immediatelly to see if maybe there was some kind of a mixup - the first lady who answered, heard my 'story' and just hang up, the second time I called a man picked up and put me on indefinite hold....
Its a shame, Thai Spice used to be such a good place with delucious food - no more..
Delicious food
Love the happy hour specials
Everything was delicious! Mmmm
Excellent service and food, we ordered Panang Chicken, and Bang Bang beefI can see why they continue to win awards year after year, truly a hidden-gem and continues to be.
Great soft atmosphere. Food is awesome
Cozy atmosphere and one of the best Thai restaurants I have been to.
My husband and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary at Thai Spice and it was exceptional! It was our 1st time, but not our last! Such a wonderful hidden gem! The ambiance was 100% what we were looking for. Romantic & chill vibe! Tim was our server & he was so helpful & friendly. We started with the crab Rangoon (with REAL crab), Tom Ka Gai, chicken & shrimp pad Thai, hog fish snapper! EVERYTHING was sublime! Thank you for a perfect evening out & we will be back! Tim, you were an absolute pleasure.
Yes. Where the locals go for Thai. I’ve finally gotten around to taking pictures of my local favorites. Highly recommended. Also try sky Thai on las olas. The best crispy duck I have had in south Florida. This trip we had the crispy duck with finer sauce. Yellowtail snapper with red curry and fresh Thai rolls.
Update trip we have grouper with peanut sauce and a 2lb crispy red snapper. This was the best fried fish I have had in years and I’ve gone to a few dozen Thai restaurants the last 50 years of restaurants.
Food is very expensive and below average. I would never go back. Don’t waste your money.
I go here on Memorial weekend every year with a large group of friends. They always have great food, excellent service, and friendly staff.
Great food and atmosphere. Server was attentive as well. Been coming here for 15+ years. Drove 30 min to take advantage of $15 anniversary voucher received in the mail. They refused to honor at lunch despite the fine print not mentioning that it was only valid with dinner. Spoke to manager and still would not honor. Very disappointing and feels like a bait and switch. Unfortunately won’t be back.
Our first time here and won't be the last! I wanted Pad Thai forever, and it was yummy! Enjoyed Bangkok Rolls wrapped in lettuce/basil/mint - only 2 rolls - very good! Main course- Beef and Shrimp dishes- excellent! They were very busy Saturday night- but able to get us a nice table. Servers were great and everyone was so gracious and polite! Very enjoyable meal and evening!
One of the best accidents we have ever had! Wasn’t sure what to expect when we arrived but Nahuel (our server) did an amazing job guiding us thru the menu and not only was the food plentiful and amazing quality, but even after the 17th mouthful we couldn’t stop shovelling it in!! Amazing hidden gem and highly highly recommend!
Excellent as always...
Always predictably excellent
Good Service & Great Food! Update: Still has Excellent Service & Good Food!
The food was great! The lobster pad thai exceeded our expectations and was delicious! Served with a lobster tail and tempura lobster pieces as well. Three buddies was also tasty, and we ordered it thai hot so very spicy, just how we like it. The crab ragoon, tuna tartar, chicken wings also very good. We ordered take out on mother's day which was a great idea considering how crazy it was. The only thing that I did not like was that there was not a separate line for take out considering the fact that we paid for it and should just be able to grab and go instead of wait in line with a bunch of angry people. The parking situation on a busy day like mother's day was terrible. Wish there was a parking spot for take out only. Maybe one day we will dine in but not mother's day.
Our server Michael is very professional and the best server. The food was amazing! I will definitely be back and will recommend this to all!!!!
A little dark but got used to it
Otherwise excellent cannot be beat
Overall excellent 👌 👏 👍
So the tables close to the bathroom. You can smell nasty coming from the bathrooms. Was terrible!! And because of all the green garden they have out front. My friend was standing by the door and a customer walked in and a palmetto bug flew in by my friends feet. Omg she went out screaming. Not one employee or manager came outside. Someone was looking through the glass inside and was like shocked also. I will never go there again and will tell whoever asks me. But the employees were awesome and busting there butt to make sure we were comfortable when we dined in. And said sorry for the smell. Cause they agreed they smelt it also. Oh my friend went to bathroom also she said she had to hold her nose and it wasn't poop. But never got a chance to ask what was the smell cause the bug flew in. Lord lord
Fantastic Thai food!!!
Everything was great minus waitress Jillian. I don’t know what was going on with her but all the other staff provided excellent service.
Great food,great happy hour
It is always a pleasure to go there, I have no complaints at all!!! Nice place. The ribe eye steak is one of my favorites.
Our waitress rushed us through our meal. She was unpleasant and would not leave us time to enjoy even our wine. I will not return because when I am dining I want to enjoy my meal at my pace not hers!!
Roy our server was excellent. The food was super fresh. Ambiance was good.
Bestthai in town
Awesome food and great atmosphere.
Food was good. Entrance is not clearly visible and also the parking is at the rear end and it was hard to find.
I always make a reservation and the lychee martini is fire!
We went at seven p m mid week. The restaurant is so very dark, It is quite difficult to read the menu. At least for this middle aged person.
I did love the decor the fish tanks and the pleasant staff. The food was extremely tasty and the portions were fair.
Alltime favorite restaurant hidden gem.. best thai food on planet
Had the lamb for $56 and it was grossly overpriced. Should have been priced for about $38. You get 4 pieces, cheap bok choy side and rice??? I can go to texas de Brazil for $55 and get all the Lamb chops I can eat and salad bar. Never coming back here.
Excellent Everything!!
Food is very tasty. Better to dine in, got take out a couple times and it wasn't as good as what you get dining in.
Really good Thai food, but the pricing is just very expensive in my opinion. The atmosphere here is very nice.
Could not ingest my $42 whole thai chili snapper. Flesh like costco chicken, not flaky-not white. Chili tasted beet bland-not hot and spicy as ordered. Had to add much spicy flakes for any taste. Told "mgr", young fellow named Michael, they would not serve that to their parents. VERY OVER RATED eatery. Just get the pad thai takeout next time.
Ft Lauderdale will never be what it was. Grew up here. Add the traffic and noreasters.....long overdue to pull chocks and launch.
VERY NICE PLACE TO HAVE DINNER AND RELAX.
Have been here several times. Food is good. However, just had the worst experience ever in the entire time I’ve been in the local area anywhere! I rarely give a bad review so this had to be really bad. I specifically requested a quiet table. They sat us in a booth in the back of restaurant. The experience started out nice but first it was freezing cold in there. I requested they reduce the air conditioning but it didn’t get any better. I froze the entire time. Next, they sat a party of 10 next to us. These people were the rudest, inconsiderate, raunchiest loud mouth foul language MF’s ever to exist on this planet. The waitress, Jillian, took over a half hour to take their order while they continued to be rude to her and obnoxious to everyone around them. We had to order dinner from a waiter passing by because she never came back to the table. Finally, she came over and apologized but it was too late. We asked for our order to go. After waiting for quite awhile, the other waiter brought us plates, thinking we were going to eat in. So she never delivered the message. We got the order to go but left Jillian no tip. First time in my life! I was a waitress myself for many years so I have never not left a tip, ever. This was the worst service experience I have ever experienced in my 63 years. Other people around us seemed irritated by the obnoxious AHs next to us as we noticed other people leaving the restaurant as well. I don’t think I will be back. Just canceled a reservation I made for going back in a few weeks. It’s too bad because the food is good. 😭. Will have to wait until I go back home for Asian food.
Best basil in Broward!
Always top notch
Delicious cuisine, romantic cozy setting (day or night), courteous staff. Must do for special occasion. Repeat customer for lunch and dinner.
I’ve never eaten at a restaurant before where literally everything tasted like it was came from a candy store. Who adds a sweet sauce to calamari? Even the drinks. I ordered an expresso martini and it tasted like weak coffee (definitely not expresso) with simple syrup. I had the grilled shrimp appetizer as a meal after our shared appetizers because it was literally the only thing on the menu without jelly smeared all over it. Our server was great though.
The best Thai food in broward! Friendly staff, great drinks, and phenomenal Thai dishes.
Amazing food! Great atmosphere! Awesome staff!
This is a little hidden gem. The food is always prepared, fantastic. Staff and service top notch . Great wine and drink menu live music some nights. Reasonably priced for the area.
