I like this restaurant. Some of the best thai in Bradenton. But I always get green curry. But mom had cashew chicken, and wife had been thread noodles. Everyone liked it.

Absolutely tasty...Highly recommend lunch.Several dishes under $10.Yes that’s soup roll and entree.Hard to believe they are not $15 or more.
The food quality,aromas,and presentation is totally encompassing.
In a nondescript strip mall you will find this Gem.

Every time I come here I wonder if it's going to be just as great as the last time. It is better every time. Students get a 15% discount, so it is super affordable to eat here. Great options for me as a vegetarian...tofu, miso soup, crispy eggplant, noodles, etc...Thai Spice, I feel, is far better than the other Thai restaurants in Sarasota...it can feel like a ghost town,but who cares! The food is great

I have tried the Thai place on Cortez and Thai Spice and like the food here at Thai Spice way more than the other. I didn't find the lunch price that unreasonable, given the quality of the food. The Pad Thai was perfect, generous, exactly the right level of spicy (hot for me) and accompanied by a consistently delicious soup and piping hot egg roll. The owner/chef is not only to be complimented for his cooking prowess but for his artistic interpretation as well. The presentation was as good as any fancy, "five star" place I have ever been to at several times the price.
I'm gonna have to conclude that those who reviewed this negatively must have had a different owner or chef and encourage you to try this one without apprehension.
I am certain you will enjoy it as much as I do, which I now include on my weekly restaurant rotation.
My "$" review below is for LUNCH prices. Dinner gets "$$" but is still reasonable.

*update 2016* there are better sushi places. Their fish is stale compared to Sam Jung Oh or Sushi Hanna. Was kind of dirty looking and super dead. Nice lighting, average priced sushi for decent quality fish. The interior has a nice Thai motif to it. The service was excellent and attentative.

Pleasant and attentive service. Clean, calm atmosphere. Such yummy food and variety of choices! Today I ate their hurricane roll and will be back to try the mango one asap! Highly recommend!

Thai Spice is a wonderful Thai and sushi restaurant. Prices are very reasonable, the restaurant is spacious and has a nice ambiance, staff are attentive and friendly. The Thai food is absolutely delicious -- everything I've ordered off the menu has been excellent.

Wonderful service and perfectly prepared food.

As soon as we walked inside I was transported to the far east. My Girlfriend had eaten there before and enlightened me to the Thai Tea. Awesome! The dinner I had was phenomenal. Definitely will be back.

This was my first and my last time that I will ever order food from here again. I went to pick up my food and after leaving of course I realized that they failed to provide me rice with one of my meals... Despite having quickly went through the bag. I called them, initially upset with myself, and the woman that answered the phone admitted to me that she forgot the rice... Okay, so why didn't you call me right away since you knew this whole time? There was literally a 15-20 minute gap between me leaving the restaurant and me calling them. It was already bad enough that when I went up pick up my order nobody said a word to me, made any sort of acknowledging gesture, nothing... They also left my food unattended on the counter for anybody to grab. Basically, I made two trips for pricy food. Oh yeah, i can't forget about the teryaki container that was leaking badly due to poor packaging/handling. Terrible! To add insult to injury, when I went to pick up my rice, they simply left it on the counter top again for anybody to grab. Nobody said a word to me the second time either or made any sort of acknowledging gesture. No real attempt was made for them to make good for the situation besides the woman trying to offer to give me my container of rice with my next order (this was when I called that this happened). Are you f****** kidding me?! Is that a joke?! I should be refunded for this experience. It was insulting and unprofessional. I have no idea how they're still in business if this is how they treat people.. and it's sad because the food wasn't bad. Not a good first impression for me. And I hate having to write bad reviews..

Very tasty pad thai

Nice place and normally very quiet. The fried eggplant stir fry is very good with crispy duck , under saureed. The Tom Kha soup is always a good way to start.

This is one of those typical Thai places that you've never heard of, tucked away in a shopping plaza you've never been to, that will serve you a dish you'll never believe. 5 stars here is slightly biased because I love places like these. I've had better Thai, but it's a solid price, always relaxed, and never disappoints.

The food and soup was warm at best,when we told our server all she said was she observed the cook take out of the pot. She asked if she could reheat, when our entree came out it was the same way, we both were disappointed and most likely not returning

They dont open when advertiesed. I have been 3 times and two times I have had to wait up to 30 minutes after the posted time for them to open, and just left. The third time i phoned in an order on my way from work. I was only five minutes away. I went in to go ahead and pay, I told the cashier my name amd I had a pick up order to which she replied.. "and you just called five minutes ago? Have a seat." And proceeded to ignore me. No water was offered and their was no pleasentness or politness had. Won't try this place again, regardless of the food.

wow, I was really shocked at how great my experience was. I wanted sushi and my favorite place was closed so my gf and I checked this place out ang got a huge equally as good meal as I had wanted. fresh salmon, and best volcano roll in town! I'll be back as soon as I can

Really good food, we had pad woon sen which was very well spiced and the massaman curry medium was perfect for me with a really good sauce. Both were priced very well. The restaurant looks very nice and had good decor. Our server jazz was wonderful.
