I have never had Thai food. That all changed today. A beautiful soul - Grandma Wan, an exceptional human who cooks from her heart with so much love in every bite. I had the Pad Thai for lunch and brought the chicken with vegetables home for dinner. Everything including her homemade Spring Rolls are worthy of a parade in her honor. The Jasmine iced drink was an all night carnival in my mouth. There is still a party going on. I’m returning for Round 3 before the week is out and bringing friends. This lovely quaint experience is a lost art. I do feel Anthony Bourdain would give high praises for this delightful spot. Grandma Wan? Thank you for my delicious food! We ordered the special for Wednesday which was Pad Thai. I got a mild spice and my husband always chooses hot! Grandma Wan suggested Thai tea and Thai coffee and they were both fabulous! Our food came out hot, fresh and was absolutely delicious. Grandma Wan told us the story of her mother and that the pad Thai recipe was hers and though her mom passed away she is continuing to cook for her and that it’s always been a passion. She loves what she does and all that love she has for her mom and the recipes she puts straight into her food! I can’t wait to go back! So much love put into every dish

A spectacular hidden gem in Bradenton. It's got some of the best Thai food I've ever had alongside some very high quality service. Grandma Wan takes your order and cooks all the food. She has a lot of personality, love for her craft, and throughly enjoys helping customers enjoy a great meal. The thai iced tea is amongst the best I've had and I get this beverage everywhere. I'd recommend the pad thai, grandson's soup, egg rolls, thai iced tea, and her fried banana ice cream. All in all one of my favorite restaurants around, check it out you'll be glad you did. Finally, you can't beat the prices! Everything is very reasonably priced and the quality is extremely high. 10/10

If a restaurant has "grandma" in the name, you know you won't be disappointed. With grandmas after all you really taste the love they put into what they are making and this is no exception to the rule. Grandma Wan treats you like family, picking herbs right there in her garden around the corner. My meal popped due to these fresh herbs. There was a pumpkin desert that would put most pumpkin pies to shame. If I didn't live over an hour away this would be a common luncheon place for me.

Grandma Wan is a wonderful homestyle Thai cook. This is authentic cuisine and what you’d probably get if you were invited into a Thai home. The restaurant is all outdoors and she works out of a trailer on the property. The shaded tables are surrounded by loads of plants and flowers. It’s definitely an eclectic and off the beaten path spot, but so worth it.

It is my second time here. It was better than the first time. Grandma Wantani not only sells food, but she also sells happiness. I wish I could come here more often but I live in LA. I recommend you come to taste her food if you are in town.

I have been fortunate to travel widely and encounter many cuisines and experiences. But my lunch experience today was so special. My husband and I were the first customers and Grandma took the time to sit with us and we shared stories.

I had the day's special, sweet curry, and hubs had the thai basil stir-fry. Grandma plucked a handful of fresh thai basil from her garden for the dish!

If I lived here, I would be here once a week to eat and once a week to feel the love and joy of Grandma Wan. I'll be dreaming of that curry up in Michigan!

I had been here several times before the pandemic and always enjoyed the food. I ordered the seafood Pad Thai, mild. It was so mild it was almost flavorless. There was one extremely chewy squid ring. There was one scallop. There were a few shrimp. It was a small portion. I had the crunchy Spring Roll in one of the smaller compartments, and in the other small compartment was a dried up carrot garnish. It's probably not fair to blame it all on the restaurant as costs of everything have gone up. Maybe I'm getting old but it just didn't seem like a good value.

Grandma wan took me back to my travels in Southeast Asia with her cooking. She cooks from the heart and it shows from her personality, to her welcoming garden oasis and in her dishes. She is a gem! Will be back 💙

Been here twice. First time was good, and I appreciated her home style, but I lost all respect for this place on the second visit. It was the day Pad Thai was the “special”. I didn’t realize Special means she cooks it in a huge batch and hands out OLD pad Thai noodles. It was inedible. You know when it’s old because the noodles all stick together and the sauce isn’t evenly distributed. This review came about almost a year later when we were craving Thai food again and Grandma Wan was the closest place. I would never go here again unless she offered a free meal and apology for giving out old Pad Thai like it was something special. Oh and yes, I saw the HUGE pan of noodles it came from. What a shame to cut corners like this. Restaurants should know it only takes one bad experience to never go back.

Amazing, so delicious, and Grandma Wan herself is so sweet and accommodating. If you like Thai food, this will be some of the most delicious food you’ve ever had. I had the Grandma rolls, the chicken skewers with peanut sauce, pad Thai, and Thai tea, and all were incredible, especially the peanut sauce! I will absolutely be back every time I’m in the area and I can’t recommend enough. The dine-in patio area is so pretty and a great vibe. I loved my experience!

This place is a great find. Menu is a bit limited as you’d expect from a food truck/street food place, but it’s interesting and not the same as _every_ other Thai restaurant. Everything we tried(3meals and an app) was delicious. Outdoor garden seating is the best kind of funky. Very much reminded me of all the hawker stands and little roadside eateries you find all over Thailand serving up amazing flavors.

As someone who has lived in areas with great Thai food, Grandma WAN’s restaurant is a hidden gem. Her Pad Thai was FANTASTIC. And I love the Thai pepper she has on the table to be added.

This placed reminded me of a time when I was the extra friend whom this kid brought after practice to his family’s table. When they scrambled happy to have an extra guest, a makeshift table set. Surrounded by blooms and open sky, though right next to the road, it doesn’t matter.
What matters is I poured too much of the red powder into my food, so it looked as if I was snot sobbing as I ate my seasoned tears, thinking of grandma as well.
Cuz g-d knows I needed an excuse and that break, reminiscing of what a restaurant really is: just a stranger’s home with a grand welcoming table.

Everyone loves a great story, especially a great story behind food. My wife and I truly enjoyed the authenticity of Grandma Wan’s Thai cuisine. We can absolutely feel the love between Grandma Wan and her mother. Dining at her food truck is like walking into someone’s house and have a home cook meal. After we finished our special stirred fried noodle and papaya salad, Grandma Wan gave us a bowl of soup she made for herself. The dill, the fish sauce, the calamansi, just amazing home cook meal.

5 stars isn't enough. Grandma Wan deserves all of the praise she gets. The food is a delicate balance of home cooked goodness and restaurant cuisine. And don't get me started on her thai tea!

I have driven past Grandma Wan time and time again, but after finally stopping in I found that it's much more than just a food truck. There is more parking than you would expect and a few tables. This was an absolute amazing experience. This lady is one of the sweetest people I have ever encountered and the food was incredible. I stopped by on a Friday for the red curry special. Delicious. Highly recommend. I'm just a little sad I don't live in the area to come back. Grandma Wan also convinced me to try the Thai tea, which I also loved. I don't even like tea but that stuff was really good. Definitely try this place out!

Met Grandma and enjoyed Pad Thai in the shade of her "courtyard!" Good food, value, and a delight chatting with her. Parking area next door needs a bit larger sign as busy street prevents any "sight-seeing!" We'll be back when weather cools down a bit more.

I love Thai food, and I love spice. I don’t think the chef does though. Cooking should come from the heart and this had 0% soul.

Pretty bad Thai food. For $11 for spicy curry you expect a good amount of food. I got a small amount of PULLED chicken. What Thai restaurant does pulled chicken? Also about a meatball size amount of rice. So besides the small portion and pulled chicken, there was zero spice. Not worth it for the price or taste.

Just left Grandma Wan and like always the food was great. The Thia tea the best around never disappointed.

This place is a hidden gem. I went because of the reviews and I am 100% satisfied. She using fresh herbs from her garden & she is SO attentive to her customers. It has a little area on the side to eat with a small fountain and garden which she manages well. This place is a 10/10 she clearly loves what she does.

I’m temporarily in the area for an internship so I’m still looking for my lunch spot! Grandma Wan’s is definitely one of my new go-to places. She will treat you right and the daily specials I’ve had so far have but absolute hits. I’ve gotten the Pad Thai and the Sweet & Sour chicken (both are super tasty).

This place is such a gem honestly. I'm so sad I didn't find it sooner because it's only 3 minutes from my house. Grandma Wan makes you feel so welcome and really puts love into her cooking. There are plants and herbs surrounding the food truck as you sit and listen to her cook up something delicious.
A must try if you're in the area.

ACTUAL AUTHENTIC Thai street food! I spent a 2 a few weeks in Thailand 3 years ago and this hits the spot. Gandma Wantani "Wan"s a total sweet heart. Daily specials, I went today, Friday, and had the special - red curry and it was fantastic at a heck of a price! 10 out of 10 would recommend.

FRESHLY MADE to order with Love. Grandma Wan is the sweetest. We loved her food so much we came back twice in a week. Entees are savory, she will add spicy heat on request. Delicious tea and coffee, too. Look her up on Facebook for her current location. She has a lovely patio with tables to eat on site.

I am half Thai and have been looking for good Thai food here for so long. Grandma Wan is the best! Her menu is small but everything she cooks is delicious. Her food truck is in a shady corner with plenty of tables and the plants make it feel like an oasis. I couldn’t recommend this spot enough. We had the papaya salad, basil stir fry and garlic soy pulled chicken. Great price and amazing service. Be careful because google maps originally routed us to the wrong location. The food truck just moved to 30th Ave west.

This place is the greatest hidden gem in Bradenton. Today I went for lunch with my parents. I started with a delicious Thai iced tea and an order of spring rolls. The spring rolls are hand made and came out hot and crispy. We all had the Pad Thai Noodles special and it was hands down the best Pad Thai I've ever had. 10/10. Grandma Wan cooks with love and passion and it shows in her food. She is a wonderfully kind woman with a big heart, who loves to cook for others. I will be back before I head back up north to the cold 😷

This food is absolutely amazing! It’s hard for me eat Asian cuisine anywhere else now because it isn’t as great as Grandma Wan’s. You also can’t beat the service. She takes you in and treats you like her own grandchild.

First off, Grandma Wan is such a cute little lady and she is so nice. Her love of cooking is definitely reflected in her food too! We tried this little food truck at the recommendation of one of our neighbors. We specifically went on Wednesday because that's when she has her Pad Thai special. It was delicious and truly authentic! We can't wait to try her other Thai foods, and look forward to coming back regularly!
