I’ve been to several Thai restaurants in the city and I think this is the best one as far as food quality. Their stir fry’s and noodle dishes seem very fresh and I also really love the chicken Larb, it’s very refreshing and healthy. My wife had the Regent noodles which she photographed.
I just found this great Asian food place, yeah Thai, food, service and music were great today during my date with my husband, I try an amazing 🍒 Cherry Boom 💥 was amazing, favor was 11/10 one of the best cocktails that I have tried in Dc, also their margarita either frozen or regular was amazing taste wise was so good better than in other places around and the seafood that they offer and the flavors are to die for. You can custom your salad, or your fish, or dish to vegan, vegetarian or any food restriction you have and is a Happy Cow certified.
My husband love the music and we sat outside to talk for ours and the owners were so friendly even with people with pets, there were sit inside without a problem
Family atmosphere, Friendly staff, great tasting food. We had no trouble modifying our dishes. Very accommodating to make a kid's plate for our 2 year old.
We loved this place! The servers were very friendly and the food was delicious. I had the panang curry, which was to die for! The portion size on that dish was a bit small. The pineapple fried rice, which was served in a pineapple and was also delicious! Overall, I would recommend it!
I never write reviews but I was just in love with this place and I had to share it with others. My wife and I were traveling to D.C. last weekend with our family and granddaughter when we came across this fantastic restaurant. The service was exceptional. He really went out of his way to make sure we were having a great dining experience. There were mosquitos outside where we were eating so he had bug spray available for us to use. Who does that? He let us relax and enjoy our time together and did not rush the bill.
The food was exceptional. My granddaughter is a picky eater but even she loved it. I can't remember exactly what everyone ordered but they all really enjoyed it. I am not a person who takes photos of my food but my wife and daughter in law did. Unfortunately, I do not have their pictures to upload.
We ate outside because it was a nice evening but the inside of the restaurant is very nice. It felt very comfortable and authentic. In fact, that is how I would characterize the entire experience. Authentic. I would definitely go back the next time I am in town.
Came here to satisfy my pregnancy cravings after another restaurant butchered my curry order.
Wow, such a good redemption of curry. I was a little hesitant about the Mango Thai Curry since pineapple is the norm, but it was soooo good. Spice level is perfect, flavor is perfect, and every bite of the mango was interesting. Definitely recommend. 💯
Regent is the best Thai food in DC. It’s our neighborhood spot but if it wasn’t we’d travel for it. When friends come from out of town it’s where we take them.
I keep coming back so I’ll keep updating this review but for 2 years it’s been a go to and it’s been absolutely delicious every time. Regent Thai Cuisine, I love!
Friendly staff and good food... spice level on the Gra-Prao Ped was spot on and while the crispy duck had great flavor, there was just a bit too much fat left on the meat (so I couldn't really eat the crispy part). Loved the twisted Thai tea... went great with the meal!!

Sehr gutes Thai essen. Sehr authentisch und frisch.
Disappointing Decline in Quality
I've been a loyal takeout customer of Regent Thai for many years, but after returning from a several-month break, I was disappointed with my recent order. The Pad Thai, once a standout dish, tasted bland and lacked freshness. It used to be consistently excellent, so this recent experience was a letdown.

They have a wonderful piano player/singer on the weekends from 8-10. Usually Saturdays but sometimes on Friday. We only go to see him. He is great and really livens up the room! The food is fine, but we’ll keep coming back for Michael!
Just no. I’ve lived in the neighborhood for years and have eaten here before. Usually good, not great, but enough where I’ve ordered more than once. Tonight I ordered and it was AWFUL. Zero flavor and completely disappointing. Last time here for me.
Delicious food, and super friendly and attentive service. Definitely recommend. We ordered the Drunken Noodles and Mango Curry. Both spicy but really enjoyable without being overly scorching 🌶️ 🌶️
Excellent all around.
Best Thai food I ever tried in Adams Morgan. Fair prices, excellent service, and good location
Great spot great service great food! Perfect neighborhood Thai spot

The food here is so good! The drinks and service are also good. We have to go back, especially to try some of the other dishes
Super nice people, phenomenal food, always tables available. Pad see ew is perfect, spicy chicken pra grao (spelling?) was sooo good even for me who is nervous about spicy.
This was the absolute worst Thai food I have ever had in my life. Completely disrespectful to serve this so called Thai food. If I could leave negative stars I would. Dont waste your time here. I rarely leave negative comments but this place must be exposed. My step mother is Thai and I grew up eating with the family my entire life. If you truly enjoy Thai food don’t ever come here.

We are a company ourselves and work in the garment industry. So not a competitor of yours at all, just a dissatisfied customers. But I will list my concerns below. If anyone is to google what Pla Lad Prik traditionally looks like, they will see that the photo I attached of yours doesn’t look like it at all. Usually Pla Lad Prik is a whole fish not a filet. You can tell by the amount of sauce to fish ratio. The fish tasted like it came straight from the freezer not fresh at all. The vegetables were tough and not steamed well. And the sauce was nowhere near thai hot. The thai basil rice, was extremely bland and nowhere near Thai hot. The onion was the only hint of original flavor in the rice. And again was a very small portion. Most Thai entrees are for communal eating, not undersized individual plates. I came to DC from the Hampton Roads to visit family/friends and was going to cook the meals myself but I got off late. I figured I’d order what I was going to make so we can still enjoy it. You can only imagine my disappointment when I got to the house and opened this up. Spending $50 bucks on this quality makes no sense.
I appreciate your time to reply.
Tastiest Thai food I’ve had in a while. You can always tell by how the simplest dishes are cooked. I had the eggplant in basil sauce one evening, and returned for the snapper special the next. Cheery atmosphere and very friendly management and staff. Arrived with the intention of doing take out and stayed because of the warm and relaxed ambience. I’m definitely coming back here the next time I’m in Washington D.C. I have sampled several Thai restaurants in the capital and highly recommend this one!
They really know what they are doing! Such GOOD food! I have been looking for a good Thai place for a long time, came across this one on an article and decided to order and try it out. AMAZING. This is going to be our Thai place for now on. I recommend it 100%
We love the: Drunken noodles, the Panang curry and the Goong Sarong.
Fantastic food and service
One of my favorite places for takeout in the area, I think it’s reasonably priced for DC as well, I always have enough for two meals. Great vegan options!
Regent is my go to Thai place in the DC area. It’s yummy, consistent, and offers free delivery. My go to order is Tom Kha soup (I call it “crack soup”), and Panang curry.
Both are excellent!!
Loves the papaya salad. Special mention for the peanut sauce.
Really solid. One of my favorites for takeout in DC.
We loved this place! The servers were very friendly and the food was delicious. I had the panang curry, which was to die for! The portion size on that dish was a bit small. The pineapple fried rice, which was served in a pineapple and was also delicious! Overall, I would recommend it!
I live down the street and I used to come here a lot. It definitely changed ownership. The service was great! Sadly, we ordered 8 dishes and the foods didn't taste like Thai at all! :( I felt some what embarrassed to bring my visiting family there. The potions were VERY small, they were laughable (my family did laugh). The fried calamari was disgusting.
The music section was horrible and out of place, pop music? Need to check the AC because it felt humid even with the AC.
The weekly special has empanadas and fried cheese rice balls? When I saw that it gave me a "oh-no" moment and I was right... definitely no longer an authentic Thai place.
Don't believe what you see in the pictures. They are from the past owners.
Oh, the drink and weekly special menu are in plastic?
Sorry, won't be coming back.

Essen war solide. Als mehrfache Thailandurlauber haben wir den Vergleich. Insgesamt kann man hier gut essen.
Excellent and friendly place - my go to Thai shop!
Very Good
Curry whiskey rolls service - perfect
It’s cute that the people here think they know what Thai food tastes like. They clearly have never tasted nor read anything about Thai food. I ordered pad Thai and somehow there was an option for a mild, medium, or hot. I’m not sure why they thought that it came with option for how spicy it was considered pad Thai is not spicy. When we ordered this type food, it defaulted to spicy. Not sure why it defaulted to any spice level other than not spicy since it’s pad Thai. Maybe the people cooking this food should go to Thailand and taste what they are making before they try and randomly make it spicy for no apparent reason. Learn what Thai food tastes like and get back to us.
The nicest staff! We love Yui and Brian...they make every visit a pleasure. Amazing dishes that are beautifully and lovingly prepared in a lovely setting. Great outdoor dining, too!
Update 5/20/2023
Still a great place to dine! The two managers we know, Eric and Javier, are committed to their customers' satisfaction and dining experience. Any food offering is guaranteed to be scrumptious. Our server Elizabeth this evening was a gem 💎. A regular go-to great Thai restaurant in Dupont Circle!
Reliable service, delicious food, friendly staff!
Their regent noodle dish is pretty good.
Really lovely place, delicious food, and very kind, friendly service! Will definitely be coming back. The waiters were attentive to our dietary restrictions (vegetarian and I was dining with someone who has a gluten allergy).
The food here was so delish. It really went beyond my expectations. Seafood was fresh. Customer was top tier, they were very attentive and knowledgeable. Will definitely go back
Delicious Thai food in Dupont/Adams Morgan area. I ordered the Pad Ga-Prao with chicken and it was delicious. Spice level was accurate and it had a good meat to vegetable ratio. Service was very attentive and friendly and prices were reasonable for the area.
Great little spot. Ive dined in and also take out. Walked in and ordered take out and was out in less than 10 min. It wasnt busy, but still that is fast. They didnt take any shortcuts on my food. Very satisfied with my experience.
I am happy that my husband found this restaurant, food was absolutely amazing… the server was so nice that I was able to customize my salad and the garden rolls (summer rolls) were very fresh tasting and usually they do not have them available all the time in other Thai restaurants, same as the dessert sticky mango 🥭 yummy 🤤
The food was exceptional! The green curry was delicious. We were a group of six people and we ordered 6 different dishes and all of us were extremely satisfied. In addition, the staff was so friendly and kind. Definitely recommend it!
Such a great place, always great service and the food is amazing. Get the Duck!
Love this place. Super fast service and delivery. Really tasty pad thai and fried rice among other things!
This is my go to Thai spot in the DuPont/Adams Morgan area. I have only ever ordered the Pad See Ew but it’s SO good that I can’t bear to switch up my order! They are quick to prepare food and always very kind with great customer service. I truly feel like they appreciate my business and am so happy to have found them so many years ago!
Some of the best Thai I have had Stateside.
This is our favorite Thai in DC. The pad eggplant is delicious, as is the rainbow trout stuffed with herbs. The dipping sauce that comes with the trout is outstanding.
So far the best thai place I have tried in D.C. We ordered the duck curry and the Regent noodles, both were really good. The prices are very reasonable too. I am a little surprised to see it only got 4.2 stars.
Cashew chicken was worse than Panda Express. It was basically orange chicken with mushy breading. It was worse than the frozen chicken you could get at Safeway. I ordered a Thai tea without ice and it was only filled 2/3 (see photo)… not a very satisfying moment. The Pad Siew was palatable but not great. It’s not even cheaper than other Thai food around the neighborhood. I recommend Bangkok Thai on P St or Thai Chef Street Food on Connecticut.
This place was amazing! The cups, plates and silverware were really cute and every plate felt like it belonged in a fancy aesthetic instagram post. I got the drunken noodles with chicken and they were amazing! Everyone else in my group seemed just as satisfied. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Really delicious Thai in a lovely neighborhood restaurant. Hands down our favorite is the crab fried rice, it is incredibly delicious, light and fluffy. The flavor and texture of the drunken noodles was perfect. We've also had the Phi Phi platter (lots of seafood) before and really enjoyed it. Great service too, friendly and professional. Highly recommend!
Great tasting Thai food.
Our favorite Thai place in DC so far. Very flavorful pad Thai and duck curry. The spice level was very reasonable. Shrimp toast was also fun.
We ordered of the pad Thai and drunken noodles. It lacked flavor, dry and not tasty
Fantastic eggplant in Thai basil sauce and Pad See Ew!
Es muy auténtico familiar
Being born in Asia, I must say I love this northern Thai restaurant. Hoping to head back soon. 😊
Pre pandemic, had a v nice dinner. Been back for take out a few of times (live a block away), and not so impressed. I think the meats are super frozen. Had the trout, and it's now the last and final order. Stale and dry. Which is a pity for trout. Duck was marginally better.
Some of the best Thai in the city. A hidden gem
My drunken noodles were delicious but not that spicy. Good portion of food for one person.
Good service but somewhat disappointing food. We ordered to-go and the food was hot and on time but the spring rolls and our curry were both uninspiring. The pad thai was better. Overall the food was alright but a bit disappointing given the price point.
Just bad food. Straight up. Worst Thai food I’ve ever had. We ordered fried rice, pad Thai, edamame (was just craving it), & the fried shrimp app. The rice & noodles had no color to them, pure white, no sauce, no flavor, pathetic. Edamame was soggy & also had no salt/flavor. Shrimp had zero salt, tasted like old shrimps. Don’t order from here they don’t understand the basics of cooking, let alone Thai flavors.
Fast service and great food. I had the chicken red curry and was not disappointed!
Excellent food
I wouldn't call this upscale. Went here recently for lunch and my vegetarian dish was a small portion and featured a lot of cabbage and carrots and only a few pieces of tofu. Tasted fine, just wouldn't just go back.
Good but not stellar Thai. The best I've had in DC.
Quiet, fast, delicious, quite reasonable costs. A come-back-to place!
Not very good. Not clean.
This place is hit or miss. They take forever to seat you and the food can be amazing or ok. What’s worse is the customer service can be pretty bad: rushed and annoyed even when it’s not busy. Gave it a couple of times but no more.
Complimenti!!!!
Zero stars. Bad from start. Had to wait to be seated as only 1 working, wasn't busy. Wouldn't give table we wanted, again not busy. Didn't bring what we ordered. Thai hot is barely a medium. Never come back.
This is the 2nd time that take-out order was incorrect. We like the food, but would hope that they would be careful with online ordering from their website.
Tasty thai and temperature hot food!
Reasonable prices, especially for Dupont, and great portion sizes.
Very nice. Had the Drunken Noodles and Thai Iced tea
We stopped in two weeks ago while in town for the weekend. The food was plated well and tasted great especially for the price. Two entrees and a couple drinks for around 50 bucks.
Good food and nicely spicy. will go back
Solid lunch at $10/person. Pad Thai was hella greasy though.
And the kicker - both my wife and I got food poisoning. Could have been cross contamination stemming from the massive salmonella outbreak going on for ground beef, though neither of our dishes had any. Beware.
Dangerously good spicy basil fried rice. Quick service, nice ambience and outdoor patio. Not the cheapest but worth the price. You’ll be back soon for more.
Authentic Thai Cuisine in relaxed atmosphere
Excellent!!
Love this place! Especially for people who would like to try vegetarian Thai dishes.
맛응평탸이쥐만 친죨하쥐 아늠 팁아까볐음
Decent prices and portions. Be careful when ordering the spicy foods- it's very spicy!
Not the original pad Thai you shall get.
Food was delicious, service was good, and the ambiance is nice!
Food was too sweet even though it had two chillies next to it
Although thes soup and salad was a little too spicey and Pad Thai was too sweet but I still want to give it 5 stars as they all were pretty good!
Great menu, it's under the radar but so good!
The pad see ew (with beef) was on point. I ordered with medium spice and it was perfect. The spring rolls were delish too. I ate here twice in three days... It's that good! The service was great both times. But even if the service wasn't the best I'd still come here to eat. I dine for food, not service.
The reason why I am only giving this restaurant 4 stars instead of 5 is because they charged $3 to add broccoli to a curry order and there were only 5 small pieces of broccoli added. That was extremely disappointing and very stingy on behalf of the restaurant. Make sure you clarify before ordering any additions to menu items. Other than that, the food was very good.
I liked this place a lot. I'm a huge curry fan and went for the Salmon Panang. Presentation was great. Beer selection also nice. Place was very authentic and friendly service. I felt like the amount of curry was small compared to the fish is the only thing that could be better. I'll be back again though. Great experience.
The Pineapple Fried Rice is fantastic and the service is good. Love going to this place.
Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had and quite affordable!
It was fast and good flavor! When they say spicy, believe it!
Great food
Great scenery
I've come here a dozen plus times. Love their lunch, the green curry is the bomb.
Favorite Thai place in DC. The food is fantastic and it’s never crowded. Also very cool decor and seating area inside.
