Delicious food. Fast service. Very nice staff. We will be back!
What we ate:
Chicken satay (appetizer)
Crispy tofu with peanut sauce (appetizer)
Curry puffs (appetizer)
Chicken wings (appetizer)
Tom Yum soup
Tofu red curry
Mock duck green curry
Chicken pad thai
Chicken fried rice
Mango and sticky rice (dessert)
Ginger tea
The soup, main dishes and dessert were highlights.
My photos don’t do any of it justice
I really wanted this to be a good restaurant, but starting with awful tasting mango salad set us on the wrong foot for the evening. The veggie dumplings were good as were the two noodle dishes: pad Thai and drunken noodles. White (undercooked) shrimp were not very good. The curry was not very good and the garlic chicken was nauseating. The staff is very friendly and provide good service, but overall the food is not that good. Where are the flavors of basil and cilantro typical of Thai dishes? And finally after reading that they have failed board of health inspections on multiple occasions.....
We ordered takeout from there tonight and the first spoonful of the first dish (Tom Ka Gai) sent me into a rapture. So delicious. We also had the Gold Chai (vegetable dumplings), likewise. We had Masaman curry w/tofu & Pad Se Yew (with mock duck, a great option regardless of whether you're vegetarian or not). Since the pandemic, we have mostly done take-out, rather than dining in restaurants, and Jeera Thai is a very small space so this is our preferred way to get their food. But I believe they have the most delicious Thai food in FF county.
I was very happy to see that they offer vegan and gluten-free options, and when I asked what exactly those were, the lady taking my order said most of the dishes can be modified to be vegan and/or gluten-free! So I got the Pad See Ew, which is a dish I usually can't order because it is traditionally neither vegan nor gluten-free.
It was perhaps a tad bit on the bland side (I assume as a result of omitting ingredients like fish sauce that can't be substituted) - mainly just the tofu that was bland, because the noodles and vegetables tasted pretty good. Very enjoyable. And a good sized portion for the price, which made me especially happy because I was so hungry.
I would have to try some of their other dishes to get a better idea of their food since it's hard to judge a place off of just one thing.
The dining area inside is small and nothing terribly fancy, but it was comfortable enough. I came for lunch shortly after they'd opened so it wasn't that busy (a couple of people were finishing up their meal, and a couple people came in to order take-out).
Best Thai place in CT! Food slaps and the spice is always hitting. I always get the Drunken Noodle and Curry Puffs. I will admit dining in the one time was pricey (for 2) but I get takeout and it’s worth it every time (always have leftovers for lunch). Has the Anne Hathaway seal of approval, what more can I say
I came to Florida to celebrate my mothers birthday and get her to try Thai Food for the first time, the food was delicious and everything was fine until the end… we had a table of 4 and spend about $100 on lunch. After paying, the waiter said “Only $3 dollars” complaining about the tip size loudly and to my mother and said it multiple times. This was very unprofessional, inconsiderate and ungrateful of our service and made my mother’s first time experience trying new food sour. How unfortunate.
Clean restaurant, friendly customer service. The food didn’t sit right with me.

Went onsite to provide them service on TWO different occasions and they handed us faulty checks KNOWINGLY. They will allow you to come in & render service to only be fraudulent when it comes to payments.
Really bad service. Waited over an hour for a simple order. Food is ok but they can’t handle the business.
Such a sweet owner - very quick service and she hand makes the dishes herself
They don't pay their employees
This place is a hidden gem. The best mango sticky rice and pad Thai I have ever had. I will be back many times and recommend it to everyone. The staff was very friendly and giving as well. Very clean and well priced.
Best food in Westport, hands down. Never wrote a review in my life but felt compelled to after eating at Jeera Thai. The Pad Thai, Lamb Curry, and Som Tom were out of this world. I’m sure every dish here is amazing. Also the food was fairly. Try Jeera Thai for yourself, you’ll know what I’m talking about.
With my husband and my son I went for the first time on my Birthday June 27th. Food tasted good but service was really bad. Over charged for everything. Water 3 bottles $12. We wanted only one she refused to take back. 2 Vegetable dish and one vegetable Hakka noodle - she charged extra $1 per dish for vegetables and $1.50 for Tofu. She never said there is a charge for Tofu. She argued and was complaining. $68 for 3 dishes - makes no sense.
We Will never go again.
Worst, worst experience. I would never trust the food there. I was driving on the post road unfamiliar with restaurants in Westport. A woman at the front desk greeted me immediately saying you want to sit down? I said okay, but I felt cold from a fan blowing cold air. Before sitting down, I asked to use the restroom. (BIG MISTAKE) Afterwards, I picked up a menu near the front door thinking I would instead order take out, because I was too cold inside. The woman came over and told me to sit down at the table in a stern voice. I said I was going to order take out instead, and she got REALLY angry, saying, "Oh, yeah! you come in and use the bathroom".....And walks away from me in a huff into the kitchen." Another customer was in there dining laughing at her behavior. The woman then comes out and does a fake apology for show. I said you accused me of using your bathroom , when I was going to order. She says , " okay , I will see you again" and this time with a fake bow. I said , no you will never see me again. All I could think is thank God I did not eat the food there. That was crazy. Spare yourself. Try another tai place.
Bad experiance, walked in to place an order, picked up order, totally wrong order. Asked about getting a credit. They would not give a credit, said sorry and wanted to deliver order. The customer is always right except at this place.
The staff was extremely rude and very condescending. Wait time was long and food wasn't that great.
I had the worst experience with this restaurant owner and their staff. I’m Asian and the Asian owner must be racist against other Asians, just my opinion. I drove a long distance to pick up takeout and asked if I could use the restroom. She looked at me and said “you cannot use the restroom here take your food and go” I said what do you mean I can’t use the restroom is it out of order? Then she points at the door and said “take your food and go, you cannot use our bathroom.” All of the patrons dining in were shocked. I just took the food and left in disbelief. In addition to the bad service from the owner, the food here is subpar, flavorless and dry. I knew I should have gone to Rainbow Thai instead.
A friend took me out to this authentic Thai restaurant for my birthday. What sweet treat!
I had the red curry chicken and my friend had the crispy fried fish. This place in West Port CT- so far has been the best tasting Thai food - compared to some other places I’ve visited on the East Coast!
When you visit, order the spring roll appetizer. You won’t be disappointed.
We plan a trip back this summer with a group of friends who will be visiting from CA They are going to love this place - just as we did 🤗
Pls read this because I’m just a cute 11 year old writing this with my daddy and I think you’re not so lazy that you’ll ignore this. If you ignore this, you’re a meany.
I love Jeera Thai! It’s the best place around! I come here with my family almost three times every week! ( that’s how good it is) 😜If you vibe with awesome people, this is your place. I’m telling you guys, this will make your dinner choosing a whole lot easier too. - written by an anonymous (11) year old hehehe
Dad-
Having been to Thailand multiple times, and always prioritizing the wonders of their cuisine, I can tell you that the team at Jeera consistently leads with their passion and dedication to bringing only the most authentic dishes to life with all their heart and soul. You will never be disappointed with their cooking. It’s like home! Go!
I felt very unwelcome as an Uber driver having to pick an order up here. The older female employee was very rude and demeaning towards me.
I recently visited this establishment and encountered a significant issue with the person in charge (who dress as a man but it’s a woman). Their behavior was incredibly rude and lacked basic manners.
I witnessed them rudely informing an Uber driver that the restroom was only for paying customers, despite the fact that they rely on these drivers to generate more sales. This lack of empathy and consideration for others' needs is disappointing and unacceptable.
I cannot support a business that exhibits such disregard for basic human decency. I urge others to think twice before patronizing this establishment.
My husband and I love Thai food but it’s hard to find good Thai food in the US, we have gone everywhere. Jeera is our favorite and ready brings the heat like authentic Thai food should. We love the owner and the chef, they are really nice and always make a great meal. The summer roll, dumplings, Thai Basil fried rice and Pad woo Sen are our favorites!
What a disgusting restaurant! There is a woman who dresses like a man and has no manners to the point of being racist! It’s really a rubbish restaurant!
Bad experience as they take very long to deliver and the staff are rude to their customers and delivery partners in my observation
Rude staff and long wait times!
We love this restaurant. It is super tiny.. so come early. Food is delicious., staff is wonderful. Our GOTO for Thai in Westport!
Best restaurant in westport
best pho anywhere! and we love the ginger tea
Super flavorful and lovely staff
Unbelievably delicious + great vegan options
Very authentic thai food. We eat at the restaurant, and the food was amazing, a bit spicy, but perfect spicy for us. We highly recommend this place.
By far the best Thai place I’ve been to in Connecticut. Everything is so flavorful, and the Bangkok stir fry is a must try!
As an elderly Delivery driver I am dependent on the restaurants I deliver for to allow me to use their bathrooms. Upon arrival for pickup I was told it would be at least 10 minutes before the order was ready. The restaurant was empty. As I headed toward the bathroom the owner came running from the back to let me know that it was only for diners. I find this completely lacking in basic humanity.
The food was so tasty and their ginger tea is some of the best
A nice small Thai restaurant with Thai staff. The green curry was a little bland, but I suspect it's more me than the food.
Fraud on billing experience by staff overshadowed tasty food. Beware of small frauds at this restaurant. Menu price was $7 less than we were billed. It seemed strange when I asked for a glass of water & the older woman gave me a higher-end Fiji water bottle, then a lower-priced bottle of water before the other staff member gave me the tap water in a glass I asked for each time. This supports what happened with the bill at the end of our lunch as I'm an internal auditor/Fraud Accountant by trade. The mango curry menu item was priced at $13.95 & pad se ewe at $11.95, but we were billed $16.95 & $14.95 respectively. When we noticed & asked about the difference, first they said we ordered off the dinner menu, not the lunch menu. There was only 1 menu, so that isn't possible. Then they said the menu price is different for dine-in at the outside table that we did, and the carry out price is the lower price listed on the menu we used. Then we saw an extra charge for tofu instead of chicken, but that's included per the menu text & photos as shown. Finally, they said there was an updated menu recently and we ordered/used the old one that was outside at the table we sat down at to order. Also not possible, since the only version of the menu was the one the had on out table & we used to order from. We still tipped 17%, but will contest this with the credit card company since the staff was unwilling to bill us correctly. Watch your bill if you chose to go here.
The food was absolutely excellent! The person making our food did it with so much love, you could taste the flavors perfectly. We ordered a bit too much , but rest assured polished off everything!
They are so slow and disorganized. We like the food so keep giving more chances but the service is so frustrating.
Very good food and friendly customer service. I highly recommend this place.
I'm in town to dog sit and was really excited to try a new Thai restaurant. The food was cold by the time we got home which was less than 10 minutes. I ordered Pad Thai which did not have a bit of spice to it. Just sad colorless noodles and chicken. My husband's teriyaki chicken was okay but tasted strongly of ginger.
The mango sticky rice we ordered for dessert was okay after being thrown in the microwave, but had like a serving spoon of rice which is arguably the cheapest food out of the whole meal but wasn't enough to have a bit of for each piece of mango. Also forgot our appetizer. We called and they said they would deliver it since the online ordering was 3rd party and unable to be refunded but they never showed up. Will not be returning on future trips here.
Always delicious. I always get the hot ginger tea 🔥also they are very nice. My number one Westport go-to.

Ohh my goodness this was very disappointing. I ordered through Uber Eats and the box was open to start off with. And the food was just some of the worst I’ve eat (or tried to). It not only tasted bad, the presentation was poor and the quality looked like it was thrown together. Will not be ordering again and would really like a refund.
Great service, the server remembers my mom and I and is very nice. The food is amazing and fast to be served. Highly recommend!
The food came out cold and dry. Hardly any sauce and even after sending it back, it came back warm and pretty tasteless. They didn't seem to care either.
So I think this is a generous rating based on the weird experience.
Honestly, the food here is awesome, but we had a strange experience.
I’ve never been somewhere in America where you ask for water and they bring you Fiji Water and say that’s all they have and we ask for tap, they say have no tap. So I grab my water bottle and then they water shame me saying they don’t allow outside drinks and are trying to make money but I honestly don’t want a tiny $4 Fiji Water. Literally never be up sold or bait and switched on water, ever. And the best was, later in the meal, we were offered tap water. And I sat there starting at the wall with all the glasses on it wondering what those were for.
Like literally made us feel bad for not wanting $4 water that we didn’t order which is both absurd and hilarious.
If it were just that, as weird as that was, whatever.
I literally had to yell into the kitchen to have someone wait on us each time and were never asked how things were.
Then I get the bill and it’s 30% more than the menu they handed me, literally 30%. Asked about it and was told that’s our lunch menu. Well why didn’t you give me your dinner menu? Well we don’t have any. Well, that sounds to me like that’s your menu then, unless you disclose otherwise.
I’ve never felt scammed at a restaurant and it wasn’t even a lot of money but it was the principle of it all was so absurd. I get rising costs and all that but don’t tell me after the meal oh those prices aren’t right. That’s like a very American principle.
I really hope you all do better for others. If you can upsell water and update your website clearly you can print updated menus. Perhaps you just use a QR code. Just really weird experience all around.
PS - We were the only ones in the entire restaurant. It literally seems made for takeout only. The kitchen may not have a fan or is vented into the dining room, so if you’re into that sort of thing.
But again, food was awesome.
Really fresh food. Excellent mango shrimp salad, my husband ate all his padseeyew ! Nice light flavor with the green curry. The ice tea also was perfect - not too sweet
I went in very excited about this place since I love Thai food and has had good versions of these dishes at other places, but it didn’t live up to these other restaurants. Red curry was too watery, basically water with hints of chicken in it, which had no flavor at all and random vegetables. The soup was as salty as the ocean, absolutely rancid. Shrimp felt frozen and fishy. Very low quality. Wish I could rate this any lower than 1 star.
Everything I ordered here have been so delicious. When it comes to Thai food I regretfully limit myself to pad Thai and drunken noodle and green curry. With Jeera Thai, I love trying various dishes! Lots of quality vegetables included on all dishes I ordered (just hard to memorize the names..)
Nice food and even nicer service.
Well speediness of getting the food is great. We always order Thai from another restaurant near by too. We order the green chicken Curry. Flavor was ok too watery Also order with white rice and give us brown. That explain why price was higher and even before I pay. The lady ask for the tip. I was leaving and I check no silverware neither napkins. We usually eat everything but this time we have eaten not even half of it.
Love this place. No frills, quick, friendly service, large portions for a good price. Been going here for 2 years now and never had a bad experience. Although if you dine in, be aware they charge $2 for a bottle of water.
The drunken noodle was delicious and flavorful. The amount you get for lunch price is reasonable.
Terrible service. Never again.
Amazing food and outstanding customer service. I was really craving Jeera Thai tonight and when I called they were getting ready to close. However, the very gracious owner squeezed in one last order and delivered me a delicious dinner. Thank you.
I used to frequent the new haven location years ago and was pleasantly surprised when they opened in Westport. It has been awhile since I ordered here, but yesterday night (Monday, presidents day) there were few places open and I though I'd return to an old favorite! Being in fairfield, I typically order from thai kit just because it's so close. Well! The food at jeera over-delivered and it will be back to my regular take out rotation. Everything is super fresh, the portions large, and they were super quick too.
We ordered two orders of the spring rolls, the vegetable dumplings, the red curry with chicken, the drunken noodles and a vegan pad thai (they had no issues making this vegan!) They also through in the fresh spring roll complimentary which was delicious! My friend raved that it was the best thai they've ever had. Nothing was greasy at all. Worth the 15 min drive!
We will definitely be back! The place is so cute inside I can't wait to dine in eventually. Thanks Jeera!
One of my favorite places to eat when visiting my sister and her family in New York. The Sukiyaki Noodle Soup with pork is so delicious! Great size portion with a touch of spiciness. The Thai wings and Tom Yum Spring Rolls are great starters as well. Can't wait to order from here again!
it's pretty good. large portions for the price, at least for soups and pad Thai. haven't tried other things. pretty good.
during this poweroutage they've been one of the restaurants with power.
since it's during COVID that im posting this, outdoor seating is tight and few ppl are wearing masks so I highly recommend take out and not eating in.
The restaurant is a simple, no frills, hole in the wall that I discovered when a family friend from England visited me in westport choosing Thai cuisine for dinner. The service was prompt and friendly. My friend gave the restaurant great reviews. I became a long term customer
Great authentic Thai cuisine hidden in a beautiful little town. Definitely a hidden gem. Customer service was fabulous and staff was super friendly.
Our favorite place for Thai take-out.
The best Thai food enjoyed by my wife and I in Area, indeed anywhere, for several years now. Everything is good. The soup, the curries, the rice, the chicken satay, just delicious! And at a modest price. Treat yourself.
The best Thai in Fairfield County. This food is so fresh it crisps in your mouth
We stop here every time we come from New Jersey to Massachusetts and back. Some of the best Thai food ever. The owners are also lovely people. It’s small with an open kitchen and a few small tables. Outdoor seating is available. They also are excellent with vegan and gluten free food, safe for celiacs. If you want excellent Thai food, non-pretentious environment, and lovely service, then this is the place you should go.
Delicious food in good portions served very quickly.
Wonderful service. Very accomodating to a kosher family of four! Fish and vegetarian options, delicious sauces, and just the right amount of spice!
Food is good. Service is pretty good but needs a little polishing
You have to try everything, especially the hot ginger tea. Great cozy place.
Food was ok but felt portions were very small and prices were high
The best Thai I've ever had! A wonderful little spot
Reliable Thai in Westport.
Exellent food EVER! Authentic Thaifood! Friendly service, I love here!
Thank you for your kindness and Support
We working hard to Serving you
Thank you for the huge opportunity
Big energy for working hard like us
Very bad food and waiting time too much and apart it was a bit rough with me when calling and asking for food if I could place 0
It was yummy food
Excellent service and yummy food; and BYOB!
Food was not bad but not good enough for the price. We spent 40 dollars each for simple meal.
Good Thai with family restaurant feel. They serve more than just curry; a bit of something for everyone.
Great authentic Thai fare
Food is delicious always there make us come back so often. Especially salmon dish and coconut ice cream
The place is small, but the food is ALWAYS worth the wait EVERY time! The authenticity of Jeera Thai Westport is amazing!
Delicious drunkin noodles with pork with lovely hot ginger tea. I find the food very authentic having been to Thailand. It's casual and the staff is very friendly.
What a GEM!!! this kitchen is. Ordered 4 dishes, my all-time favorites on Thai menu; giving myself a chance to compare with everything I have had before. Every plate blew my mind. An absolute Thai comfort food with great attention to flavor, quality and detail. Delicious is not enough of a word. Cozy space with attentive service. Perfect. Don't change a single thing 😁. Will come back every time when in Westport.
Favorite Pad Thai around.
Passez votre chemin :
Great Thai Food! Always consistent and tasty. Get the Drunken Noodles and the Basil Fried Rice!
Very bad Thai - I saw the cooks that were Mexican and american. Except the owner/manager nobody was Thai there.
The Roti was supposed to be Roti Canai ( but for $7 - I got 2 roti and a tiny sauce).
The green curry was tasteless - the curry flowing around.
When I called to give feedback - the manager/owner said do what you like. Not acceptable in Westport.
Love this place and the staff who take care of our office on a weekly basis. Best Thai around. The entire staff at Train Away Pain Westport agrees!!!
Food is good. Nothing special. I will say the OTHER Thai place in Westport is far better and entirely more friendly. The manager here is absolutely rude. On multiple occasions I noticed this in different circumstances. I've been there 3 times and on the last occasion I ordered a Thai iced tea with no ice added because I had some driving to do (I didn't want it to become diluted) and when I was given the drink the cup wasn't even filled half way!! Confused, I didn't even know how to point out the problem. I opened the lid and showed the woman who was ringing me out..Mind you I had not left yet so they knew I had not drank from the cup yet. The woman got the manager and I showed her the cup and said that "I'm sorry but this is barely filled at all can you please add to it?" with a huff and a puff and some MAJOR attitude the woman said " You said no ice !" confused as to what that had to do with barely getting any liquid in the cup I said " Yes I did but that doesn't explain why there is only this much tea in the cup?" She was so rude to me over it and stomped to the back to add more..Mind you she never ended up filling it up like any Thai place I've ever been has. It just doesn't make any sense why they wouldn't fill the cup regardless when you're paying $3+ for a tea! It's a shame because the food was good but I refused to go back because of the managers attitude and rudeness all around. Never experienced this in my life at any restaurant..It was honestly a bit laughable. When you order a drink you expect to get a full amount regardless of ice or not.
Great Thai food in Westport with Vegan and Gluten Free options. The food is delicious and the restaurant is cute!
