That may be the reason, but even so, hopefully this review convinces people to try this place out.

This is hands down the best Thai food I’ve had in a long time. Everything was so fresh and delicious. My compliments to the chefs in the back. Next time I’ll stay a little longer to get their story, but they clearly know what they’re doing.

The winners for us were the Tom Kha and the chicken pad tai. Seriously, I finally found the best Tom Kha around. I would live off that soup if I could. The pad tai was so incredibly fresh and flavorful. The gyoza was great but next time we’ll get it pan seared instead of steamed. My boyfriend got the kimchi rice. He said the flavor was great, a little kick to it; exactly what he’d expect from kimchi rice.

I know the area/location may be disheartening but please do yourself a favor and try this place. Once you step inside, it’s a whole different world. You would never guess something as good as thing is in downtown Shelton.

Service was great too! Wish I could remember our servers name, but he was very kind and quick with our drinks too!

Found my way into this place one evening with my family looking for a bite to eat. We all left happy and full! Now when I'm in the area I stop in for takeout! Owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxing and ambient. The food is phenomenal, made fresh and in a timely manner, so much flavor and you can tell that the chefs put love into their dishes! Definitely the best Thai food in the area if not the whole state. So if you like Thai give them a try! You won't be disappointed.

A friend and I were told that this is the best authentic Thai food around .It did not disappoint. Delicious ,fresh ,Thai .Run by a husband and wife. Immaculate and friendly . I had the spicey eggplant which was outstanding . We also ordered the egg rolls. There are 10 small freshly made ,egg rolls in a serving . Great sauce on the side. My friend had the "Glass" noodles with fried tofu. She tells enjoyed it. I will be back soon.

Ordered 3 orders of chicken fried rice the waitress took our food in the back and told the cook to leave out the chicken. The fact that i was over charged 58 dollars for chicken fried rice and received vegetable rice is beyond me. Food is good poor customer service.

Service and food was wonderful. I got the drunken noodles and requested extra hot. It was flavorful in all regards and not overpowering (spice or basil). The noodles were also perfectly tender and the veggies had a slight crisp to them. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys Thai food and can handle a little spice!

Honestly the food, the food is fresh but I don't feel the Thai flavor and I have been to 5 Thai restaurants and they taste better, the chicken curry was not bad, but it lacks more flavor the atmosphere is quiet something that I liked, but at the time To pay I gave a 20 bill and a 10 bill, the girl told me it was 16 dollars, and she only returned 4 dollars, in other words she took 10 dollars as a tip, without me having given it to her.The tip is earned, it is not mandatory.

I just discovered this place on Uber eats & will definitely order again! The yellow curry was absolutely fantastic and the serving was about double what you usually get off of a similar menu elsewhere.. the mango and sticky rice was heaven. Give it a try!

Absolute hidden gem. Got a veg massaman curry & Thai iced tea my first time. Very fresh, stewed vegetables, great portions. Loved the variety of veg too. More than most curries in the area. Have lots of curry left for lunch tomorrow. Kind & fast service, meal was ready less than 20 mins after pickup

“Spicy” miso isn’t spicy at all, and everything tasted like it was tossed in lime juice which took away from the flavors of the dishes. Overall the food is very reasonably priced and came out quickly and accurately.

The food was great! Service was FAST. It was Wednesday night, but we were the only ones there. I don’t know why the food & presentaion were great!

Food amount is too little, one plate only filled 60%. The other noodle was separated, then white noodle sticky together. Maybe eat in would be better. The service is excellent and the decorated atmosphere is good too. 👍

Just like eating over families house, fun, friendly, and so clean and fun, healthy food and delicious, NEVER had ANYTHING I didn't like, I've gone to ALOT of Thai restaurants across the state, and this one is the one of the very few who ACTUALLY has REAL true Thai food & true family, I have not had better Thai food in my life

Ordered Pad Thai Chicken, Pad Thai Beef and Chicken Satay. The noodles in pad thai tasted okay but were slightly mushy. The hicken and the beef were super dry and chewy!!! The chicken satay was dry too! Disappointing!

This place is a gem! Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and seated. The summer roll appetizer was delicious. The vegetables were super fresh, and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. I also loved the chicken massaman curry. We will definitely come back!

1/6/2022, had my first meal at Thai Shelton Kitchen and it won't be my last!! We had a large party (9) and everyone absolutely loved the appetizers, thai tea and the entrees! I had moved here from Boston in August and was having trouble finding quality thai food.
The service was amazing, friendly and warm but above all the food was fabulous!!

Orders are always made quickly. The portions are a good size! The food is always fresh, full of flavor and sooo delicious! I would eat here regularly when so lived in the area. The staff is adorable and friendly too!

Very disappointed in our meals tonight. Our Pad Thai dishes were not good. The proteins were overcooked in the fryer and dry to the point it was hard to chew. There was no sauce on any of the meat to.provide moisture or flavor to the burnt meat. The noodles were overcooked to mush and again..hardly any sauce. Was excited to try a new place but won't be back

(Updated to 5 stars drunken noodle lunch special is largest portion in all the area)I want to give it 5 stars but sometimes they haven't answered the phone when I called in the afternoon. I'll give them five stars when they answer the phone otherwise the one dish I had was good. I want to try more while I am in this area and I hope their hours get updated or the phone problem gets solved.

Very friendly staff, tasty dishes and good portions. The Pad Thai was moist and delicious. The Shrimp pineapple fried rice tasted very good and the chicken satay were tender. The veggie rolls were crispy and very tasty and went well with the sauce.

The chefs must be great; they get it right all the time. I love the Chicken Satay and Puffs! Salmon dishes are great too. Ive had too many to mention, and its ALL GOOD! They are my ‘go to’ place during the pandemic here. I hope to come in once all this has passed us over, and shake hands with all there! 😋

Literally the best Thai food I have ever had. Chef Scott has done an amazing job perfecting the classics while also bringing some spectacular new dishes to the table. (Seriously, the crispy wonton shrimp salad is a revelation.)

Not only that, but the service here is friendly, fast, and phenomenal. I'd like to say this place has become a weekly tradition, but sometimes my husband and I can't wait a full week to go again.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go tell everyone I know so this place stays in business forever.

I have eaten in many Thai restaurants in N. Y. city and CT. But this restaurant is the best. Food is great. Service wonderful. You really need to make a reservation quick.

I love this restaurant. The best thai restaurant in Fairfield county. I have been going there for the past 2 years now and the food is delicious, fresh and the service is exceptional.
My daughter loves her soup as well. She go there at least once per week.
Shelton fusion kitchen also catered all my events and each time when above and beyond to give me the best.

It is a cool and nice place with a decent environment. There meal is very delicious, I really enjoy your service. You guyz should keep up the good work

Very good authentic Thai food, well price with great service, I orden Tomyum Noodles Soup, amd my friend orden panang Duckery was yummy the lady that took our orden was very attentive and nice and ready to adapt the food to your liking. Recommended. I give 10 of 10 stars.

Just visting and decided to stop by this place. The staff, the cook and the owner were very nice and so kind. It felt surreal. Then the food came out and oh my goodness.
