Fine Thai food
Food was delicious and came out quick, the service was excellent, and the ambience was incredible! They have a big menu with lots of options for different tastes. I got the aperol spritz and the flavor was perfect and it had great presentation. The food portions were huge - I got the pad Thai and took more than half of it home with me! Highly recommend this spot for any occasion
The food was spectacular. I am not from here, but I was visiting, and this restaurant caught my eye. We started with the Saigon Crispy Roll appetizers. For my entree, I got the Massaman Chicken. My fiance got Pulled Pork, See Ew. I liked how nice it was on the inside. The food was hot and tasted fresh. This Thai restaurant was way better here than any Thai restaurant back home.
Our favourite Thai restaurant in Connecticut! Have been coming here for two years now, never disappoints. Portions are generous and all dishes packed with flavour. Some of our top picks: crab fried rice (with that delicious green sauce), pad thai, tom yum soup (just the right amount of spice). Service is always on point. Tried for the first time today their lemongrass chicken which fell off the bone due to its tenderness and was paired with a savory peanut sauce. Patio atmosphere in the warmer months is amazing and their new renovations have also helped spruce up the interior.
The atmosphere is really nice, especially the outdoor patio. Service also great and fast. The food is pretty good too! I got the Thai iced tea and it was too sweet so if I ever order it again, I would say don’t add whipped cream. I got the Lychee Duck special and that was my favorite! Loved the flavor so much I asked to take the sauce home.
This place is an absolute gem! The flavors are bold, the service is warm, and the drinks are next-level—crafted to perfection and packed with unique twists. Every dish felt like a hug for your soul—fresh, vibrant, and unforgettable. If you’re looking for a Thai experience that hits differently, this is it!
So delicious! Love the outdoor seating area, Thai food tastes really fresh, and flavor is amazing! My only complaint is the room temperature water they serve — it tastes a bit weird. Recommend their crab fried rice, Tom yum noodle soup, shrimp fried rice, and drunken noodles. Their drinks (Thai iced teas) are also way too sweet.
Every time the food here is delicious. Can never go wrong with one of the fried rice dishes. This time I had the "Grilled" lemongrass chicken, I was initially pretty disappointed as there was nothing grilled about it. Luckily it was still delicious (minus the soggy skin), but maybe change the menu name?
Came here for a friends birthday dinner!! Not my first time here but I don’t remember the decor being so beautiful. Definitely picture worthy. It was close to closing time and everyone was still so attentive. Things to try: the crab fried rice, string beans, and the sexember(drink). Would absolutely recommend this place!
The food was really good and the prices were reasonable. My favorite is the spicy Chinese broccoli.
Don't try to call them on a Sunday. They keep hanging up their phones. Place you in hold and then HANG UP! Get some more staff for goodness sakes.

Best thai food I have ever had!
Eggplant tofu stir fry is a must try. Quick service, amazing atmosphere and great music choice.
Beautiful restaurant with a lovely outdoor dining area. The food is amazing and I highly recommend this place for thai food and special occasions.
Went here for the first time. The parking was not too bad, took about five minutes to find street parking. We walked in and the place’s aesthetics were very nice. We were seated and the waiter came shortly after. The menu had a lot of great options for food and drinks. When I had ordered the Basil seafood rice the waiter stated that they were all out of scallops. I ordered it anyway and the waiter offered to substitute the scallops with calamari. We ordered our drinks before that and the drinks took forever to come. The food came before the drinks did. Additionally, when we were ordering our food we felt very rushed. The basil seafood rice was good and a little spicy, but the calamari was chewy and tasteless . The crab fried rice was very good. The Beef Pho was a little chewy. The fried ice cream was good, the sauce made it soggy. Our waiter was not attentive at all, she came to the area multiple times and never came to the table, even when making eye contact. She clearly saw our glasses was empty, but still did not come over and so we were not able to order another drink. The waiter only was attentive when it was time to collect the money to pay.
Just adding to the many great reviews, but the lemongrass chicken and crab fried rice are excellent!

we just went for a friend's birthday and it was by far the best thai I have had in my life. This was an hour away from home and I am so ready to make the trek again for the food and drinks. The place is beautiful and so much fun. We all had the best apps, entrees, and drinks. I cannot rave about this place enough and could start drooling all over again just for that green sauce that came with the pad thai. The only complaint I would have would be to try to decide what I want next time. I tried a little of everything and now I want it all again. The raw scallops and shrimp pad thai were by far my favorites but I still want so much more from their amazing menu. Do yourself a favor and run to this restaurant!

A Culinary Gem: September in Bangkok
If you’re looking for an exceptional Thai dining experience that blends affordability with luxury, September in Bangkok is an absolute must-visit. This high-end restaurant manages to deliver five-star quality in every aspect without the five-star price tag. From the moment you walk in, the sleek, modern decor and stylish ambiance set the tone for an unforgettable meal. It’s chic, vibrant, and effortlessly cool—perfect for a night out or a special celebration.
The food presentation is nothing short of artful. Each dish arrives beautifully plated, with the kind of attention to detail you’d expect from an upscale establishment. The flavors are authentic, bold, and masterfully balanced, offering a true taste of Thailand. Pair your meal with one of their stunning cocktails, which are as visually striking as they are delicious.
What elevates the experience even further is the staff. The team is warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, making you feel welcomed and well cared for throughout your visit.
September in Bangkok offers a five-star experience in every sense, yet remains surprisingly affordable. It’s a rare gem that’s as pleasing to the palate as it is to the eyes, and it deserves to be on everyone’s must-try list.
This place is top notch. Not only are the food and drinks to die for but the staff is amazing! So attentive, sweet and happy to make recommendations as requested. We found the environment and vibe to be top notch and loved the beautiful presentation of the food. Def not to be missed!
Excellent food and environment. The staff is very attentive and friendly. I tried the Grilled Lemongrass Chicken and it was FENOMENAL! Definitely coming back.
Disappointed service was not good more staff needed. Very cold in restaurant they need to put the heat on. I have a food allergy and I left sick apparently they contaminated it and did not keep it separate. I would never go back also my favorite sticky rice is only served starting in April?? I had the massaman curry the potatoes were hard and not cooked throu either were the carrots
Delicious unique versions of favorites!
Highly recommended!
My family and I have been coming to September in Bangkok for years and have only ever had amazing experiences! Tonight we got takeout and there was a small miscommunication with our order. I was honestly so impressed with much they cared about making sure everybody was happy - it just cemented further what makes this place such a gem. The food here is incredible - it’s the first place I recommend to visitors to New Haven and we are so lucky to have this place here.
Had a great experience this evening! Great food and staff!
Do not be fooled by its fancy interior design! This place is overrated- there are much better Thai options in the area. The food is expensive and didn’t taste very good at all- our crab Rangoon was filled with way too much cream cheese, the drunken noodles were way too salty, and the gra prow was weirdly liquidy (it’s a simple dish which is why I was surprised they messed it up.) The service was not good at all- we had to wave down our waiter to get any service, at 3 times during our meal. Would not recommend.
We used to love this restaurant and that was why we brought the family over to impress them.... Not! Food was still good but smaller in portion and not presenting it like it used to. But what was most disappointing and the reason why I won't return is their lack of service. From the moment I walked in to the time I opened the door to exit, I was dismissed both times. During our time in the restaurant the service was cold and as if we were bothering them!
It’s an absolute must-visit! This speakeasy-style restaurant offers a cozy, intimate vibe that sets the perfect mood for a night outThe Thai food here is outstanding—each dish bursts with authentic flavors, from the delicious Thai Tacos to the aromatic Massaman Chicken, pair it with their creative cocktails/mocktail for a truly unforgettable experience!
I really want to love them but they are perpetually running out of everything on their menu. I went there 3 times looking for a specific dish (even after calling ahead and confirming they had plenty of it) but by the time I got there they had run out. And not even talking about the end of the night - I am talking 6 PM before dinner rush even starts. The food is really good if you are lucky enough to have what you want available. But this unreliability is very disappointing and makes it hard to trust their service.
Our family of six truly enjoyed an evening meal recently. We shared five ample and so delicious entrees. Our favorite was the pad thai and the flank steak. Looking forward to returning for lunch and enjoying the lovely ambiance of the charming patio complete with a fountain. The servers were all very friendly and helpful.
Went to dinner with my friends last night on friday, I had called to make a reservation for 9 the day before. My friend got there before all of us and he said when he went to the front he told the host our reservation name and she said there was none and walked away. He said he talked to someone else and she said they had space for 9 regardless and he went outside to wait for us. When i got there with my friends we approached the host stand and the host told us again there was no reservation, and instead of going to see if she could sit us somewhere or if she had space she started asking around who worked the day prior because they didn't write it down this whole time we are just standing there waiting the other people behind us waiting as well. another person then approached us and asked us how many and she quickly assured us they had space and apologized for the interaction and. I understand it's friday and reservations are necessary but as a host you should be nicer. food and service was great just please be kind to your customers!!!
Heard great things about September in Bangkok Thai Restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. It turned out to be one of the best Thai meals I’ve ever had. We ordered the Larb, Crab Rangoon, Pad Thai, and basil fried rice—all incredibly flavorful and spicy. The ambiance was charming, especially dining outside under the lights and surrounded by plants. The service was both prompt and attentive. I’ll definitely return when we’re back in New Haven and highly recommend it to others.

When the restaurant’s at capacity as it was tonight, you see all kinds of gaps and miscues.
Food showing up before the drinks;
Waiterboys (The guys who come flying out of the kitchen holding plates) wander aimlessly in the restaurant, Waitresses oblivious to the needs of the table, no one seems to take responsibility for clearing the table
I would expect a lot better, especially given the kind of ownership and typical dedication to quality… Lots of things are slipping folks.
I hope you pay better attention.
Not planning to come back anytime soon.
Great quality of food, slow service and a bit expensive
The atmosphere is really nice, especially the outdoor patio. Service also great and fast. The food is pretty good too! I got the Thai iced tea and it was too sweet so if I ever order it again, I would say don’t add whipped cream. I got the Lychee Duck special and that was my favorite! Loved the flavor so much I asked to take the sauce home.
My favorite food in the world. Genuinely. the tofu coconut milk noodles feel like home. Thai basil fried rice so dang good. Such a great spot for a vegan. They also just renovated and it looks amazing inside and out.
I'm considering suing this establishment for emotional distress. Ever since we've been here my wife cannot stop talking about it.. to the point where I've actually had to invest in new headphones cuz she somehow broke noise canceling on my other ones.
Best Thai in New Haven. Love.
Will definitely come back.
Went to September in Bangkok a few weeks ago and was very impressed. It was a hot day, but we still elected to sit in the patio area. Despite the heat and humidity, the fans they have outside kept us cool. To start, we both got an Aperol sprits - although a little too sweet for my tastes, it was refreshing nonetheless. For started we got the duck tacos. To. Die. For. I would totally go back and get those as my meal. The duck was tender, the sauce was spectacular, and overall it was a great piece of food. For my main meal, I had to stick with the Pad Thai. And once again, I was not dissapointed. I'm usually not the biggest fan of noodle dishes, but I ate every last morsel on my plate. I would 100% recommend this place to Thai food lovers or those who have never eaten Thai food in their life. I will be back and I look forward to trying more on their menu.
They need to hire more servers. It took more than 10 mins to get a diet coke. I asked a diet coke for three times and the server kept saying just give her a minite with very ruuuude manner. So disappointed. They also charged for a refill. What a nightmare..
This was my first time here; I ordered Thai basil fried rice and Thai iced tea. The flavor of the fried rice was okay, but the rice was wet and slimy.
Most of the vegetables (tomato, bell pepper, jalapeño, carrot) were chopped into huge chunks and, as a result, the veggies didn't cook well.
There were thick (like 3/4 inch), ripe half-moon shaped cucumber slices that were unceremoniously dumped onto the side of the plate.
I asked for some heat because I love spicy food. The few bites I had were weak. FYI, real Thai cuisine uses bird's eye chili, y'all (not jalapeños).
The meal was sloppy and when I brought it home later as leftovers for my husband, he asked, "What happened to the food?" 😂
The Thai iced tea was decent and our server was kind! The bill including gratuity was about $25. All in all, it is not a restaurant I would recommend to my friends or family.
Everytime my family travels to Connecticut, it's the one place we always go to, usually for takeout. The tea tree salad is good, I love the toasted coconut in it. My favorite thing on the menu is definitely the grilled lemongrass chicken. It's perfectly cooked, the peanut sauce has a nice little kick. Their rice is absolute perfection. I normally dislike fried rice, but the crab fried rice is amazing. Nice pieces of crab, the sauce is good too. I had the pulled pork pad see ew which I enjoyed very much. You can get pad see ew a lot of Thai restaurants, but can't beat the one they have. The chocolate cake was nice and sweet. The atmosphere is wonderful.
Their food is great and for really good Thai, we make the 30mins trip or so to September in Bangkok. Ambience on their patio is captivating but the indoors doesn't match it. Staff is attentive and knows what they are doing.
Pretty good food, but on the expensive side
Super cute place with good food! We got the crab Rangoon which personally I would avoid because it is 90% cream cheese and was difficult to eat. We got the the vegetable samosa egg rolls which were delish, and I got the crab fried rice which was fireeeee and a ginormous portion. The Thai tea was perfect and the cocktails were pretty. Service was OK but not amazing. Cute outside area. I hope they put khao soi on the menu!
Where the rice is blue and dreams come true
Saw this place on Insta. There's a reason the reviews are so high. I can easily say this is the best Thai I've ever had. Presentation of the food was fabulous, service was phenomenal, and the overall establishment had a great vibe.
Used to be the best Thai food I ever had 2 years ago! Not anymore after the upgrade. The price jumped while the quality is less than before. The service was a bit disappointing. I ordered beef pho and have to wait more than 30 minutes and the taste is very salty. The rice noodle is not a typical rice noodle you will find in Pho. The soup tasted more beef stew broth rather than Pho broth from beef bone. My bowl of pho was supposed to have meat balls but they did not have time to prepare for it so they gave me more beef flank instead. Still, 30 minutes of wait and no meat ball...very very disappointing!!! I can no longer give it 5 stars at all.
Ok, so I couldn't wait to check this spot out...OMGGG, I wasn't impressed at all. I mean, the food looked great, and the drinks looked great, but let's get into it.. The food was mid, the drinks watered-down, I didn't even get an extra shot, The food was cold. The crabrice wasn't bad, but everything else was a disappointment. The service, however, was good. The atmosphere is very nice.
I’ve been to Sept Thai for over 5 years and the quality is not as good as it used to be. I go there less and less over the past years or so, and finally today I decided to revisit. We order two new entrees (short ribs, sriracha salmon). Neither is delicious, not to say impressive. The short ribs are way too fat. Neither American BBQ nor Eastern cuisine would cook meat in such careless way. Also, the rib sauce tastes the same as many other entrees on the menu. The salmon is overcooked and dry. We also ordered the Saigon crispy rolls which we always love. The filling is not as flavorful as it used to be. What’s worse, there’s a hair in one of the rolls. :(
This place is absolutely divine. Their coconut curry? I'm pretty sure it was whipped up by Zeus himself. I could drink it by the gallon! Toss in some veggies and your choice of beef or chicken, and get ready for a full-blown foodgasm with every bite. I also tried one of their veggie tofu dishes—just as mouthwatering. And then there’s the Thai tea. One sip, and I practically had to change my pants.
Best Thai restaurant I’ve ever been. The food was delicious!!! You could taste the freshness in the fruits , vegetables and herbs they used to prepare the food. The food enlightened every taste bud on my tongue, no exaggeration . Not to mention the drinks, they were very colorful and also tasty . My toddler also ate every thing we had and ate twice the amount he usually eats. The fried ice cream and coconut ice cream is a must try!!! We had the pineapple fried rice with salmon , the curried duck meal with lychee. The lychee in the curried sauce was amazing, it was a different flavor and I never had anything like it before . The lychee juice, passion fruit mojitos was great . The staff were very friendly also it’s a very welcoming spot . Would go back here anytime.
Found a worm in my mojito (in the mint).
Some of the best Thai I’ve had.
All the food was amazing.
Service was impeccable.
I can’t wait to return.
Delicious food, friendly service, comfortable patio seating
Found this place on Instagram. My partner and I visited. love the place, the ambiance, the staff was wonderful. I loved the food an experience of Thailand 🇹🇭 in America 🇺🇸.
OMG! Best Thai food ever (even better than I had in Bangkok). Superb specials, starters, drinks. Overall excellent food and service. Highly recommend September in Bangkok.
By far the best and only Thai spot I will be going to in New Haven. We have tried to many spots and have been so disappointed. Everything we ate here was deliciously seasoned. Staff was super nice and attentive. Inside decor was very cute. A great date spot
The food was really good. Tried a little bit of everything on the menus and nothing disappointed. The drinks were just ok and they only had one bartender and on waiter for our large section, so things took a little longer than anticipated. Highly suggest to try if in the area or seeking this type of cuisine.
Went for Lunch on a lovely spring day. The outdoor space was blooming with spring flowers. Friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere.
Amazing food. They know how to cook Thai and actually use kaffir lime leaves so the flavors are great. Not your average Thai place, they actually cook Thai food not a weaker version of it.
Noodles are great, I just wish you can change the meat choice instead of it being set. Vegetarian options available.
Highly recommend!
September in Bangkok is a GEM in CT!
This is the BEST THAI FOOD in New Haven!
The staff are so kind and friendly and the aesthetic of the vibe is amazing.
But its the FOOD + COCKTAILS!!! Incredible. So creative and flavorful. Here are some things I recommend:
+ the duck wraps
+ the thai tacos
+ the long island duck pineapple
+ mango chacha cocktail
+ sextember cocktail
+ fried ice cream
+ pho with brisket
+ coconut + lychee rice pudding
+ birds of paradiss cocktail
Hopefully thats enough suggestions to hold you over!
Theres a big parking lot just across the street under the bridge!
I ordered the lemon grass chicken, and it truly was a great choice.
The atmosphere is incredible but nothing beats the coconut shrimp and crab rangoon apps. My BF and I were crawling through new haven and this was an amazing stop the drink apropo the jungle bird was out of this world with coconut rum and passionfruit a must stop in New Haven a hidden gem for Thai food follow @dayeatsdowntown for more food adventures!
We had the amazing pleasure of checking out September in Bangkok last week and have nothing but amazing things to say! Our waitress Ribbon was an absolute blast and so knowledgeable about every dish that came to us. Each dish had its own flavor profile and they were not only physically stunning but were absolutely delicious as well! You could smell all the authentic spices and ingredients from the moment you enter the restaurant. The inside is absolutely stunning and every customer there looked like they were having an amazing time. Every single drink that we tried was phenomenal where the alcohol wasn’t overpowering. We highly recommend the shrimp and scallop ceviche, the beef sew ew, the passionfruit mojito and the homemade coconut ice cream. We can’t wait to return to try something new!
First time we tried different food, we really loved everything, everything was very exquisite, the service was very cordial and above all, always attentive. On this occasion we went with the mind of trying things differently, we ordered 3 appetizers and a strong meal, and we also ordered 4 different cocktails.
We loved the salmon with the pineapple and the rice was delicious, but it had an accompanying sauce which I loved. The salgo was perfectly cooked, just the way I like it.
For starters we ordered shrimp in coconut. which we loved. them 100%.
Everything was super clean, they served us super fast, the best days to hear and have a romantic date would be Wednesday. 💯
Located in the heart of downtown New Haven, this Thai restaurant offers a delightful culinary journey through the vibrant flavors of Thailand. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by warm and inviting ambiance, with traditional Thai decor adorning the walls and soft lighting, creating an intimate atmosphere.
The menu boasts a wide array of authentic Thai dishes, each expertly crafted with fresh ingredients and bold spices. Whether you're craving the classic Pad Thai or adventurous enough to try the fiery Tom Yum soup, there's something to tantalize every taste bud. Standout dishes include the fragrant Green Curry with tender chicken or tofu, and the crispy yet tender Thai Spring Rolls served with a tangy dipping sauce.
Service is attentive and friendly, with staff members happy to offer recommendations and accommodate dietary restrictions. The waitstaff's knowledge of the menu ensures a seamless dining experience from start to finish.
The restaurant's beverage selection complements the meal perfectly, with a variety of Thai-inspired cocktails and refreshing tropical fruit juices.
Overall, this Thai restaurant in downtown New Haven delivers an authentic and memorable dining experience, perfect for both casual outings and special occasions. Whether you're a Thai food aficionado or trying it for the first time, this establishment is sure to leave you craving more.
We recently dined here and were absolutely delighted with our experience. We ordered the Pad Thai in September, basil seafood fried rice and crab fried rice. Each dish was meticulously prepared, bringing out the authentic flavors of Thai cuisine. The Basil seafood had a bit of a kick to it, adding a lovely spicy touch without overpowering the flavors. All three dishes were incredibly satisfying and nicely blending traditional Thai ingredients. The ambiance of the restaurant added to our enjoyable dining experience. All in all, highly recommend! 👍
I have been there twice since the renovations and the good is not the same. I thought they changed chefs but the server informed me it is the same chef. Not sure what happened. I’ll continue to go to their sister restaurant, Noa.
The food was excellent! Some of the best Thai food I've had, out of restaurants in various countries. Also good value for money. Service was great.
Incredible. September in Bangkok has outstanding food, service, and overall atmosphere. From the outside it may not look like much, but the newly renovated interior is beautiful. The service was great - our waitress was beyond friendly and had great recommendations for food and drinks for us to order.
For starters I ordered the Thai tacos (with spicy mango salsa), coconut shrimp, tempura string beans, and classic crab Rangoons. Super flavorful.
When it comes to entrees, I highly suggest the Lemongrass chicken served with fried rice, the drunken man noodles with spicy beef (my personal favorite), and the butter garlic shrimp fried rice. All incredible.
Do not pass up on their cocktails because they have an amazing collection and they are great to photograph too. My favorites were the passionfruit mojito and ‘Phuket Island’ a very tropical pineapple drink with Captain Morgan.
Delicious soup and refreshing beer plus very nice service!
Can't believe how spectacular the food is for that price. By far the best Thai restaurant I have ever tried.
So happy to visit September in Bangkok, after their new renovations were completed. The interior looks beautiful and I love the different dining room experiences. Very modern, stylish, and clean.
Onto the food: everything was amazing! For those who don’t know September in Bangkok is the sister restaurant to Noa in New Haven, and both of them absolutely deliver. But here at September you’re gonna find a bit more traditional Thai dishes served with a friendly smile and a warm heart.
We had an incredible fresh ceviche and crab Rangoon to start. I’ve never had a crab Rangoon so stuffed! We also got to try their coconut shrimp, which was tremendous, and not greasy, perfectly fried, and the sauce was amazing too.
We then took the adventure and had their whole Bronzino in chili sauce, which was out of this world. Also had crab fried rice and flank steak in red curry. We also tried their crispy prawn, which was perfectly peppery and garlicky. I’m still dreaming about it.
We also had some cocktails as well! Usually I would go ham because cocktails are my thing, but it was Sunday so I was taking it easy but we got to enjoy the beautiful and delicious Sexember, A Thing Called Love and classic Thai iced tea - which paired perfectly well with some of the spicy peppers we ingested.
All in all highly recommend and can’t wait to return, especially in the spring when they reopen their outdoor seating.
I was pretty disappointed. $25 dish that included maybe 4 shrimps?! No way. Especially since the pad thai was one of the specialties. Another thing I didn’t like was the QR code menus- if you’re gonna charge almost thirty bucks for a plate of lettuce then the least you can do is give me real menu. Wasn’t impressed and won’t be returning.
It a been a while since we were here but we came back this weekend. The drinks and food were absolutely phenomenal. Seriously one of the best meals I've had in ages. I had the Lychee Duck special, and I swear I might choose this for my last meal before I die.
Came back to this establishment for some take out. A friend suggested I place my order at the restaurant because they consistently mess up orders over the phone. Stood at the bar and waited while 2 servers did figure eights around me. The waitress (long dark hair with blond streaks) looked at me and just kept going. finally had to ask someone for help but the gentleman acted like he had no idea what I was talking about so I left.
Not sure if theres a language barrier here or not but whatever it is, it gets in the way of a. quality level of service. There ARE BETTER places for Thai in New haven (orange st, chapel st, whitney ave, etc). My suggestion is that you seek THEM out.
Amazing place. Very authentic Thai.
Crab fried rice and lychee duck are incredible
We always enjoy this restaurant!! Food is consistently excellent. Best Thai food in New Haven. Passion fruit mojitos are our favorite. Anna is our girl!! Great waitress- makes dining enjoyable :-)
Great experience
It’s been said before and many times - fantastic and diverse menu. Highly recommend:
- crab rice (out of this world)
- veggie pad Thai
- shrimp massaman
- papaya salad
All superlative, copious and served by wonderful staff. We’ve been before and recommend the terrace in summer or the front room in winter. We were in the back room and it was a bit chilly and very noisy. But we all loved what we ate!!
Best Thai food in New Haven. Slightly expensive but worth paying for Thai food in the stylish and beautifully decorated restaurant.
Recommended.
Not too keen on the food, crab Rangoon are huge but little crisp with a block of cream cheese and some crab... Not great. The prawns weren't cleaned and it was difficult to get any of the broth as it was served on a flat plate. Drinks were ok. Both my friend and I had leftovers and ended up trashing them. Big disappointment.
got food poisoning for two days after my visit
Littt
My go to restaurant in New Haven, so good! The pulled pork see ew is amazing. Totally recommend!
Great Thai food
Just realized after going home that there were no shiitake mushrooms in my steak and shiitake Bangkok curry. Instead, they used button mushrooms… very misleading
OMG. So good. And a lot of GF options!
Incredible food! Best Thai food I've ever tried. The attention to details here is inspiring. They are doing wonderful work and we can't wait to come back!! Great job to the whole team!!
It's a really cute place and the service was good. However the food made my husband and I sick. We could not finish our meal. Meals: Shrimp Garlic Rice and Fried Rice
Had a lovely lunch on the patio, sat under a pergola with dappled sunshine. All enclosed with trees, bushes and potted plants, like sitting in a garden. The service was excellent, very attentive. The food was fresh and well prepared, a bit sweet for me but I understand that is traditional. They will customize spice level. We had crab Rangoon, house pad thai and fried whole branzino. Now I know what crab Rangoon is supposed to taste like! Made with real crab, not "Krab" the shrimp in the pad thai were cooked perfectly. would go back and order same or explore the menu.
I had the Special Lychee Duck and I didn't like the blue rice that came with it. I also didn't expect it to be very spicy with the sweet lychee and super soupy. I love Duck curry but the delivery wasn't what i expected. The crab Rangoon was big but hardly had any flavor or crab in it... just white fluff. The inside was also cold. The sauce for it was very tasty on the other hand.
Save your special occasion for somewhere actually special.
Used to frequent here weekly now I’m severely disappointed by this place
Crab rangoons have been limited to barely any meat all cream cheese.
Blue rice is lame. Come on people…
Steak was dry and barely passable.
Seriously look elsewhere
This place is freaking incredible! Wow!! We came here for my friend’s birthday and were blown away by the food.
We started with drinks, the lycheecello spice. Totally on point! Next were the apps: string beans tempura and papaya salad. WOW- the string beans were mind-blowing!
For our mains, we had the Basil fried rice seafood and crispy garlic prawn. If you loves seafood. They were another level. We also ended with mango sticky rice. So delicious!
Service was excellent. it was a fun night and vibe. Highly recommend!!
One of my favorite Thai restaurant in Conneciticut
As a huge fan of Thai food, September in Bangkok is one of my favorite restaurants. The patio is so beautiful and I cannot get enough of the crab fried rice. The staff is sweet too!
At a 80F summer temperature they told me no ac inside. Okay, sat outside and the moment food came, bees and flies arrived. Food itself was okay. Just Okay… for the price it was not worth it. Waiter and waitress are nice. But super understaffed.
Wonderful place, Amazing staff,Good service,
Very nice service and Excellent cousines
They get better everytime we come. Incredible Musselman Chicken and strong cocktails. We always sit on the patio. I hope this place is in New Haven a decade from now
Lovely outdoor eating area. Food is delicious with many choices and the service is top notch. Every person I have come in contact with has been nothing but pleasant and enjoyable. Highly recommend.
What a hidden gem of delicious Thai dishes. It's not really just a typical Thai restaurant - they have a lot more interesting varieties and interpretations of the classics that one doesn't encounter in most other places. The outdoors patio is a nice bonus and adds such a nice touch.
I love this place, and the food is just awesome. The food quality and services are top-notch. You should try it once.
