Delicious authentic Thai food in Glastonbury town, also serving gluten free dishes as requested
Came here the other night for a date night and was super impressed! The staff were super friendly, the food came out quick but we didn’t feel rushed, and the food was excellent. We ordered Thai tea (so good!), the soft bellied crab and crab rangoons for appetizers, and pad woon sen and drunken noodles for entrees. Everything was pretty fairly priced and very delicious! I’m lucky to have such a good Thai restaurant near my house because I will definitely be back!
Siam Thai Restaurant in Glastonbury offers a delightful dining experience with convenient parking, ensuring stress-free visits. The staff is incredibly hospitable, contributing to the welcoming atmosphere. The Sriracha fried rice is an absolute standout, boasting bold flavors and satisfying textures. Indulge in the fried vanilla and coconut ice cream for a decadent dessert that's simply divine. Additionally, their spring rolls and tofu triangles are expertly prepared. Siam Thai Restaurant is a must-visit destination for authentic Thai cuisine in Glastonbury
Food tastes bad and it usually tastes good. Drunken noodles were less saucy than usual also less spicy and fried was gray also got one of our orders wrong and gave attitude started smiling when we were complaining about the food.
Food average!
Be careful! they charge you Tip (18.00%) automatically... and they ask for additional Tip on the receipt, I didn't notice so I tipped twice!!
Wanted to eliminate an ingredient and I got charged for it.
Check your bill! Food is great don't get me wrong. I've noticed past few times I ordered take out here, it seemed high priced. Added up my bill this past time and was overcharged at least $12. I asked when I got there "is the online price not been updated because my food totaled $44. Why is it $58?" He said nothing wrong with the prices. Didn't want to make a scene so I left being my last time there. Shame!
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER!!
Me and my wife went to Siam for dinner tonight along with our 18 months old daughter. Here is what went wrong:
1) The staff member brought the check while we were still eating. That's when I told them that we need some dessert as well, she took the dessert order.
2) Once again, she brought the check when we just started having the dessert
Note:- This is a basic etiquette and courtesy to wait for the customer to finish the food before bringing the check over, not sure why she was so rushed up.
3) Our kid was in the high chair and was dropping some food on the floor while eating (I believe most kids are like that) and the staff member was continuously staring at us and making faces.
4) When we got the check, we noticed that they had applied 20% party gratuity, when we questioned them asking why they applied it for 2 adults & 1 kid as it's generally applied for a party of 4+ members, she very rudely said that the kind of mess you guys have created is more than a party of 5 people would do. I asked in return, "so, you have applied it because of the baby" and she said yes.
Note:- We do eat out very frequently and have never experienced this kind of behavior/service in our lifetime. Would never like to visit again and neither would recommend anyone to go there!!
If I could I would leave Siam 6 stars. It’s consistently serving delicious dishes. The service is always outstanding. It’s definitely our go to place for Thai food.

The reason why I am only giving one star is because I did not eat the food I got from DoorDash because the bag was not stapled shut I don't trust anyone

Food was great! The staff there were very nice. It was just a little dark there in the afternoon

We used doordash. The food was good but hardly any sauce(pad see yu)
But we have eaten there often and love their food
Good food & friendly service
Great food, loved the soup, the spicy eggplant was actually spicy which is a plus. My only issue is the Thai dumplings were pretty dry. They were tasty, but dry .
This is one of the best meals we have ever had.
Awesome food and service, great lunch specials.

We had sea food fried rice. We got severe allergies just after an hour having food. And there was no allergy warning
The traditional chicken is a staple meal for me. I get it regularly. I've had other items which all have been excellent. Service is always great.
I really like their food. The soup/salad served with a discounted lunch option is a fantastic choice

We have gone to Siam for years, a 30 minute drive each way. Unfortunately, our recent experience was just disgusting. We ordered a shrimp curry and the shrimp were not cleaned properly (ex:💩🍤) and so we asked to have it remade since the shrimp are cooked in it. They brought back the same dish two minutes later. Then, as we were paying our bill, there was a bug on my glass that had clearly been there for a long time.
We used to enjoy eating there but with this trip we won’t return.
Cozy if you dine in! Quick and friendly service for take out. This is my favorite Pad Thai take out spot!
Consistently great.
Called in for take out. Three times in a row keep making mistakes with spice level. They don’t know how to take order. Really bad service. I would avoid this place if there was other option.
Great local Thai spot. The employees are great too.
Siam restaurant is a notch above most Thai places around here. The best way I've guaged the quality of Thai food is by the Tom Kar soup. Chicken or shrimp, this recipe is the best. creamy, lime infused, coconut , and thickness are all superior.
I also ordered the Pad Thai a staple of all good Thai places.
This plate is as good as it gets.
Tucked in next to Whole foods, Siam is a must dine experience!
Food and service was great! I recommend.
Authentic Asian cuisine. One of my favorite restaurants.
Love this place! Staff is so friendly, food is amazing, fantastic lunch specials as well!
Not what it used to be, sadly
We had a worst experience as we went there around 8.15 pm. Owner asked us to sit wherever we like and after 5 min he inform us that they had closed the kitchen as there were not many guests. As we stepped out both the cook and owner were laughing.. I think they should change their closing time in the website. Will never recommend someone to visit specially night time.
Fair prices and good portions but the food is almost flavorless. Everything I've ordered was requested with higher spice levels and there was no difference at all. Fried rice was almost like eating it plain and the chicken in it was bland as well. There are better Thai places around
As frequent buyers from Siam we usually have good experiences. Not last night. Basil Fried Rice w/chicken (brown rice substitute) -supposed to come with EGG but there was NO egg and...within a half hour of finishing I had a bout of diarrhea which lasted about an hour-until emptied. No one else had problems but maybe because only I ate this chicken/basil fried brown rice dish and a small portion of mango sticky rice.
Looking for the best Thai food in the Area? Try Siam Glastonbury. Honestly, simply outstanding Thai cuisine and great service. Soups, salads, appetizers, entrees, drinks and dessert all the best Thai in the Area. My favorite is the salmon basil and any of the rice and noodle dishes. Several visits confirm their high quality consistency. Try it you won't be disappointed!
Have eaten here twice. The food is generally good. On the first meal (dinner) had the best Tom Kha soup ever. The Chicken Satay was good. My entree the first time (basil chicken) and the vegetable dumplings were not as good as others I've had. The service was a little slow on the first visit but the restaurant was full.
The second visit was a lunch. The server pointed out that we could get what we wanted for a lesser price if we ordered the lunch special. Got a duck appetizer that we would order again. And the lunch special was good and came with soup or salad.
Although this is a busy plaza I was able to find parking both times.
Great noodle soup.
Good food and nice services.
Food was great. Best crab Rangoon ever!
I have been to Siam for 3 times over the last 10 years. Before covid, after covid and most recently. The food is average. It is not authentic Thai’s food. Papaya salad is not sliced at all and over powered by lemon juice. Tom yum soup is too sour. Seafood with garlic is horrible. A few shrimp, squid, a few scallops and paper thin sliced lettuce. Garlic was from a container not fresh. We had a dinner for 4 (2 adults, 13 and 8 year old). Gratuity was automatic at 18%. We were not told of this prior or in the menu. The server forgot our Thai’s tea and had to be reminded. All she did was brought our food to the table and has the audacity to charge for gratuity. Never asked if we needed more water. I had to request for chopsticks!!! Total bill was 94$ plus 16$ for gratuities. We dine less than a hour. Never will I come back here again otherwise I have to pay for the server outrages salary. This is the first time I got charge for 18% gratuity. There was another review where the charge the same for 3 people. Tips are customary for good services not mandatory when there are less than 6 dinners. If they expect customers to pay employee salary then go elsewhere.
I really just expected more with so many good places in the area. It was pretty tasteless, I couldn’t even finish it. I got beef drunken noodles. Even through the noodles were cooked well and ingredients seemed fresh (except for the beef) it was just so lacking in flavor that if you told me it was just butter noodles I would have believed you. Also the meat was very low quality and tasted a bit like re-heated chopped steak, like something from a school lunch.
Sorry hate giving bad reviews but honestly they have to step it up. There are just to many good food options in that area.
Food and service was ok.
Food was fine. The only reason I am giving this restaurant a star because 18% tips were automatically added to our bill to parties of 3. Usually, 18% of tips and is only applied to parties of six or eight or more. We didn’t appreciate it.
Very good pad Thai
Food was delicious! Haven’t had Thai food in many years but this place is pinpoint on the great place I would frequent years ago. The fried rice no matter which way you get it is great and the Thai iced tea is always killer! Fairly priced as well.
Updated review: This time service was better. Still the flavor wasn't quite at the level I'd had liked.
Original review: I wanted to try it out but their inability to greet us as guests for 10 minutes (when it was empty) made us leave.
Best Thai food around 😋
Very fast service, clean and great food, my friend and I were very full and completely pleased
We love Siam. The food is excellent and the service is great. My husband and I get the same everytime we go. Chicken satay and spring rolls for appetizer. Entree- Chicken and shrimp pad Thai and sweet and sout chicken and shrimp. Would totally recommend.
First time there, and the service was wonderful, super sweet, and the food was absolutely delicious! Everything was so fresh and well-made. I had the vegetable dumplings and the pineapple fried rice -- both were so, so good! Highly recommend, will be coming back!
Above average Thai restaurant
They will not spice up your food unless you ask
The service was amazing. The tamarind duck was crispy and juicy! I was really impressed. The Pad See Ew was delicious, too! I want to try more when I come back.
Great pad Thai with chicken
This little gem of a restaurant is easy to miss because it's in the middle of a strip mall right next to Whole Foods. The service is fast and friendly, the food is delicious, and it's not very expensive. Can't beat that combination! Definitely try the roti appetizer. Good roti is hard to find, and this place nails it. And for the vegetarians and vegans out there, this place has mock duck. I'm not vegetarian but I almost always get the mock duck because it's so good.
I've been here so many times I've lost count. I love this place! Their Thai fried rice with vegetables is a favorite, and sometimes I'll go with the basil fried rice if I want something spicy. Just a few days ago I got the yellow curry with chicken and it was yum. This is one of the few places where I genuinely like the salad. It has a peanut dressing and is always fresh. No sad, wilted iceberg here.
You can ask for spice level 1-5, and they've always gotten it right for me. Portions are easily enough for more than 1 meal.
Every time we've ever been here, service is always speedy and staff is very pleasant. I'd give more stars if I could!
Great food, great service. Can't beat it, good prices and generous portions for servings.
We ordered take out. Forget the online way of ordering. Ridiculous! We tried to place our order online and said everything was sold out and to try and place an order the next day. I called in and placed my order. All of which were available and not sold out as per there website. Food was done in 15 minutes and we ordered a ton. So even if they say 20 be ready to walk in and pick up in 15 minutes. They package the to go food okay. No napkins and no utensils. It’s a take out order these things should be a given and packed in everyone’s to go bags. The point of take out is no fuss eat and toss. The 5 stars is for the flavors the food tastes absolutely amazing. 1 star for no paper goods added in our order. 3 stars for price we spent over $100.00 easy and we honesty could have ordered more. I didn’t want to take away from the taste of the food .. so my general star rating is for taste ONLY. Ample parking right next door to Whole Foods. The lights do not lite up at night so it’s definitely there.
Excellent food. coconut milk soup was delicious. lunch was only $11 and came with soup and rice. veggies coked perfectly and very tasty 😋
Generous portions, friendly staff, amazing Pad Thai!!
Always a delicious meal at Siam!
Really good authentic food
Food was a little oversalted and oversauced, but still tasty.
Great food. Great staff.
I was in Glastonbury for an eye appointment. What a nice surprise to randomly come across this restaurant.I treated myself to amazing lunch.I love the appetizers to enjoy the variety of dishes The scallion pancakes were amazing!Summer rolls and green curry.I am looking forward to my next appointment for another treat. The service was great as well.
Excellent food, fair prices. Their mango curry keeps me coming back, but everything we've had is good. Plenty of veggie options.
Super delicious and you don't have to wait long for your food to be served!
Drunken noodles were delicious with coconut soup. Large portions for less than 15$
Delicious!
We have been eating here for years. Best Thai food in the North East, easily. Their delivery is top tier, also. Thirty minutes and you are transported to Thailand--their food is that good!
Best Thai in the area in my opinion
I've had the opportunity to live in many states and have eaten at many different Thai restaurants but Siam Glastonbury is one of the best. The quality of their food, portion sizes are really good for the price. Our family particularly enjoys the Thai fried rice, Pad see ew and Green Lover with Shrimp. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed!!!
Everything was right on point. Delicious and reasonably priced.
Very organize and delicious food. You got to go eat and see for yourself.
Here is a nice little Thai Surprise establishment tucked into the strip mall of Downtown Glastonbury. One can enter, be seated and browse the menu immediately. With a smiling waitress comes a greeting and an offer to help with the selections . I chose all appetizers and was beyond satisfied. The coconut soup is sweet and milky with thick chunks of chicken. The summer roll is soft and full of delights with a robust peanut sauce. The veggie dumplings are so soft and thin , they break apart with the green goodness oozing out.
I will dive into a main course next time.
If youre looking for authentic aromatic thai food , Satay in Glastonbury Is the way!
Pho was bad it’s made with cube seasoning
Best Thai around. Good service and a dish I have trouble finding. Chang Mai noodles. I highly recommend it.
My absolute favorite place to get Thai food! The drunken noodles are so good!
Great noodles!!!!!!! Great customer service!!!!!!!
So rude he flight with people
He was so rude guy
Good food and reasonable
So disappointed...I orderd the seafood soup, it smelled foul and was inedible. We also ordered the drunken noodles with chicken, that was lacking any decent flavor. The only item we finished was the steamed vegetables. I only pray that we dont get sick from this food.
This is my favorite Thai place within 20 miles. All the food is great togo or dine in. my go to is usually Panang curry and a chicken and rice soup, it never disappoints.
Terrible business, unprofessional. I ordered food and it took forever to be made but people were walking in and getting food before me when I ordered first... I mentioned that to one of the employees and they completely ignored me. So rude. I will never come back. Don’t waste your time here.
Great food. Large portions. Not many customers. Buy takeout if you cannot eat in.
I like chicken basil fried rice
The mango curry is to die for!!!
Checked out this place because of miles/rewards perks with my credit card company. Awesome food and friendly service. Portions are large enough for two meals. I keep ordering their pad Thai
The food is to die for.And no waiting in line.
Great food and fantastic service.
Great food good people
Very good food. Basil chicken is excellent and NOT greasy. Seafood soup is excellent too.
Great Thai food. Often quiet but the food is reliably good and service is good.
Very tasty. Penang Curry is my benchmark dish; and the Penang Curry here was very tasty.
Great food, and always quick for takeout! I especially love the pineapple fried rice, spicy eggplant, and pad Thai.
There is absolutely NO customer service at this establishment. I called to place a pick up lunch order, was told it would be about 15 minutes and when I went to go pick it up there was no order. After talking to the extremely rude manager it was found that the number I called was their Hartford location; they have their Hartford location's phone number on their Glastonbury location's website. There was no apology and no offer to take my order and rush to make it. Instead his response was "I don't know what to tell you" and turned around and walked away!!! Unbelievable!!!
Siam is Awesome, have dinner, next day feel great.
Wholesome food and really good. They're Good People too.
Everything we ordered turned out great. Nice decor and ambience. Will go again.
Love it! Great food.
Siam Glastonbury is an excellent Thai restaurant. The selection of dishes is so large, I had a hard time picking a dish! The food was delicious and came very quickly. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. I will definitely return again.
Great food and atmosphere
Love the pad thai and fast consistent service. Great local spot.
The taste of the food is not as good as it has been in my previous visits few months back. We ordered Dumpling, Spring roll, Basil fried rice, pineapple rice and Mango curry and realized it was a different taste experience not as good. The other Siam at Downton Hartford, CT seems to provide much tastier food.
Good place ,owner is so humble and food was delicious.
The serve solid food and always cook to my requested nuclear hot.
Nice food
Delicious
Local restaurant, good food , decent service, brown rice is a little pricy and the quality is relatively less. Ambience is warm.
first visit tried drunken noodle will come back to try other dish
The food was incredible! The serve caught on to my being a vegetarian and started to suggest additions/changes to my order. Incredibly happy with the result. Everyone was big smiles and very helpful. The food came out quickly too. I’ll definitely be back.
Food was delicious and fantastic service.
They served me a salad with brown avocado.
Neat and clean and spacious !
I visit this place regularly. The food and ambience is definitely great.
Good food and very comfortable
Siam is our go to at least once a week for takeout. We get the Siam Noodle and Mango Chicken Curry. Both outstanding.
Great soups and lunch specials. Reasonable prices.
Friendly and quick service. Quality food! Fantastic flavors of that province. Affordable.
I've eaten here a few times and it's ok. Most recent time i ordered drunken noodles with tofu and vegetables for takeaway and found 2 pieces of chicken in it. I'm vegetarian. When I called to tell them, after I got home, I did not get an apology. They just told me to call back in 2 days when the manager will be in. I won't be back. They did offer to remake it but I didn't want to go back out after getting home.
Nice little tucked away gem. Curry is delicious. Service is always friendly but a tad slow to get it moving. Once you order though the food comes out within a reasonable time.
Good taste and service.
Best thai food in this area
Amazing
Drunken noodles are fantastic, skip the green curry unless you don't like spicy. Staff is very nice and the place is well lit. Nice place to take someone new to Thai food.
Good food.
Good food, speedy service. No AC the day I went, but want too bad on temperature. Was a little underwhelmed by the spice levels. Asked for a 4 out of 5 and good wasn't that spicy.
