We've been here a few times food delicious, clean and usually friendly staff.

Walked in young brown skinned full figured woman said sit anywhere you like with a smile ok, approached a table for two it still had dishes so turned towards another table also not clean, we wanted to sit by the window.

She then said sit over there by a group of 8, no thank you could you clear off a table. She seemed annoyed with our request after she said sit anywhere and her smile faded fast.

There was another younger girl who approached us to take our orders. She was pleasant and provided us with a nice time.

We live just around the corner and want to support our Black establishments, however attitude is not ok.

So I had to be fair and give another review. I actually went to the location and the setting was nice. The food and service was excellent and I will definitely go there again. My original review was low and it was due to a pickup order mix-up. However after letting some time pass I decided to give it another opportunity and it far exceeded my expectations

Customer service and food is an all around 10/10 great to have something different in our neighborhood where we can dine in and enjoy a great meal with a cocktail. Owners and staff are super friendly and well versed on the menu + ingredients. Pricing is great as well as portions. Will be a regular here. Thank You Brandon for your hospitality and customer service whenever me and the family are dining in.

Diner Review №10

We may have stumbled upon the only? halal Thai restaurant in the LA area? Not sure, owner says it might be. Very friendly entrepreneur who gave us a quick history of the place when we inquired how this place came to be. My usual crab fried rice I get at every Thai place was great here. Thai tea was on point. And the service was good, with the owner coming by to check on us to make sure we had everything.

Diner Review №11

The rice and noodles dishes were so good. BUT the orange chicken was disgusting. The batter that was on the chicken was mushy and then the chicken was dry and chewy.

Diner Review №12

Right down the street from my new job and the food was amazing. I had the chicken pad see ew and wow. This spot is a little small so you get your food with minimal wait & staff is very attentive.

Diner Review №13

Went today with my family to celebrate my birthday. In total we were a party of 7. We waited a total of 1 hour and 45 minutes to receive 4 plates only. Half of my party did not eat . It is honestly crazy that in one hour fried rice was not ready which was one of our plates ordered. We also ordered a soup and we found hair in the soup !! To add on our 4 plates were served 15-20 minutes apart and one by one they came out.
Disappointed as my family and I have been here before . Won’t be coming back .

Crab fried rice is delicious

Diner Review №16

The service and food was outstanding. I came all the way from the Atl to try this with my dad. Don’t sleep on the spinach dish. Thanks for the complimentary spring rolls.,

Diner Review №17

Amazing food, one of the best Thai meals I've ever had! The service was very good as well. The green beans are a must try and the lamb with the panang curry was delicious 😋 if you're in the mood for Thai food this place should be at the top of your list!

Diner Review №18

This is my new spot! The food is tasty but what I appreciate the most is the service. Shout out to Mariah and Dexter thank you for being great at what you do! Count me in as a regular, I will definitely be back 🙂

Diner Review №19

This restaurant is really good they have really good noodles and veggies 😋 the only thing is their pricing and serving size. They give u way less for ways more compared to other Thai spots. Disappointing because it is right in my area but definitely not wallet friendly. 😕

Diner Review №20

I’ll start by saying Layla, the girl with the brown/blond hair one of the servers at this restaurant is going to cost this place so much business. I have never in my life been to a restaurant where immediately upon walking in the door I was made to feel that I didn’t belong. I can’t imagine who she thinks she is but she has no clue how to do her job. If you are a server your job is to make paying customers feel welcomed and well served. My friend and I walked in and immediately as if she was judging us in some way she had the nastiest vibe/attitude for the fact that we didn’t know her nor did we come in displaying any reason for that kind of treatment.

We were seated and it didn’t get any better. Somehow Layla told me both of the Items that I wanted were unavailable. I believe that however the attitude didn’t change. I did not tip her and I’m the kind of person to tip for good service. I hope she matures and learns how to treat people because she will never hold a well paying job with that kind of nonsense.

Giti Thai restaurant was a quick food decision that turned out to be delicious. At the suggestion of another person myself and some friends decided to go for dinner a couple weeks ago. I had never heard of this place, but it was in the general area and seemed convenient for a Saturday evening.

I wouldn’t consider this place too high end, but the manager was friendly and knowledgeable when it came to food options. She went out of her way to explain each dish on the menu, detailing the ingredients and suggesting options for those with dietary preferences.

As our meals arrived, we all seemed pleasantly surprised with the presentation and aroma wafting from our plates. It’s important to note that the food came fairly quick, and we were out of the restaurant in about an hour.

We didn’t have much food but everything we did was reasonably priced. The foods good and the restaurants run by nice people.

Diner Review №24

Aight let me put my little two cents in on this thang. I ordered via postmates so I can't rate or comment on the service or atmosphere therefore my rating is strictly for the food. I ordered Red curry w/ white rice and a Thai tea. The Thai tea was really good. But I think I mighta got a batch of old milk because my tea had a slightly tart smack to it so ill give it a 4/5. Had that NOT been the case, I could tell that my drink would have been fire. As far as the food, I imagine the owner is a fan of Thai food and put together their rendition of the Thai dishes they like the most. The curry was ok 3/5. And I don't say that for any specific reason other than that I don't like curry that has too much creme in it or is too thick. However they do serve it like this at a few Thai places amd as compared to those resturants I would say competition wise it's neck and neck. The reason I do not like my curry too creamy and too thick is because after a couple spoon fulls it becomes a bit one-note-ish and feels like your eating a bowl of seasoned cream. I wanna taste the curry, the veggies, lime leaf, coconut fat , spice, rendered meat fat etc. So when I taste extry creamy curry like this it feels a bit cheap and lazy and on-the-go to me, not something you sit down and savor. The rice was coo...no complaints. It's rare you run into a Thai food place that serves perfect rice 100% of the time anyway....maybe Because many Americans dont really appreciate perfectly cooked aromatic jasmine rice. But ultimately I didn't taste anything in My food that wouldn't make me order twice or that I thought was exceptionally foul or inauthentic. But I would encourage the owners to explore a wider variety of cooking methods from different Thai restaurants. I mean black people cooking Thai is already a huge step out of the comfort zone but I would encourage yall to expand on that.

Some of the best Thai food around the city at reasonable price! Very consistent what the taste and freshness of their food! My #1 spot to go to when I want authentic Thai food!

Diner Review №27

The food was alsome and the service was incredible I cant complain...I really look forward to eating there again.

Diner Review №28

Good food and service. Small portions and even smaller amounts of meat in the dish. Meat price is additional for each item. Decor doesn’t reflect halal theme.

Diner Review №29

I do not often venture away from my favorite Thai restaurant to try others. Because I like, what I like. Once bitten, Twice shy. But I had to make a trip up the hill to support this local black owned restaurant. Yes, I was curious, apprehensive and a little judgmental. Not because it is blacked owned, but because, as I aforementioned, I like what I like. Thai food is my all time favorite cuisine and I have had my share of Thai imposters, disrespectfully dumbing or "Americanizing" the Thai cuisine. But my dining experience @GitiThai exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed every bite on my plate (i.e. before and after photos). The plate presentation was 1000%. The portions and pricing was spot on. This go around visit I enjoyed the spinach 2 ways (wilted and crisped). It was tasty, but a little too salty from either fish sauce or a combo of Thai soy. The shrimp satay and sauces where delicately well balanced flavor. The jasmine rice was perfectly cooked. The cocktail menu was pretty creative. I like a good old fashion. Their version was made with soju. But it tasted like a light black tea infused spiced bourbon, minus my orange slice. But 8/10. Heyyyy Los Angeles, Windsor Hills, and surrounding areas, don't sleep on this wonderful gem on the Hill.

Went on a Sunday around 6:00 p.m. not crowded at all . There was a small party having drinks at the bar. I ordered the spicy green curry with rice which was absolutely delicious! The food came out quickly and steaming hot 🔥.My nephew ordered three lamb chops and he said they were very good. the hostess was very friendly Jared who is one of the staff was very attentive, he and the server kept checking in with us to make sure everything was good. This is my 3rd time here..before I ordered the Drunken Beef noodles. It's my favorite!
All the food is delicious! Don't forget to try their signature lime cucumber lemonade! I definitely recommend this place.

Diner Review №36

I saw this place on Instagram (@latryguy) so I figured why not give it a try. I ordered the Pad Thai w/shrimp Spicy and the Teriyaki Chicken w/veggies. The Teriyaki Chicken was ok. The Pad Thai on the other had was not good. It was overly sweet, there wasn't any eggs or bean sprouts that I could see. There was shredded carrots and purple cabbage. I don't think I'll go back. Still on the hunt for some good Thai Food.

Awesome place to dine in with friends or alone. Excellent service 💯.

Diner Review №40

I ordered the crab fried rice for the second time and I'm a little disappointed, I could I strain the grease off my rice and it leaked out my container thru a crack and seeped all over my bag. Also I did not order it spicy and they added spice aswell as large cuts off onions and green onions, if anything it's just not consistent with the first time I had it 2 days ago and it was really good.

Very disappointed.

2nd time dining in. First time amazing service. Owner was onsite and talked to us during our meal. Returned this week with friends. A real disappointment, staff had to look for napkins, they tried to take our placemat menus back. I ordered salmon, the veggie fry was brought without the salmon. When asked, was told they didn't have salmon. Ordered a side of shrimp which was prepared well. The Pad Thai was too sweet, too hot. We'll probably not go back.

Diner Review №44

So far, so good. I’ve order delivery as well as dined in and I have no complaints thus far. I’ve had the fried rice, Giti’s chicken, Pad See Ew, Fried Tofu, and Thai Iced Tea…. It’s unfortunate that other people have had some bad experiences, but MY experiences have been lovely and delicious! My tastebuds are pleased. 🥰 I will be dining there this evening too!

Diner Review №45

This is not authentic whatsoever.
Salty.
Greasy.
Plain Jane nasty that taste like it came from the corner store.
I called this imitation gone wrong.
And to have a black Buddha on your wall is disrespectful to the culture and needs to be ripped off in the garbage where it belongs.

Diner Review №46

I previously submitted a review and stated how delicious 5 of the dishes were prepared well. However, I popped in for an order to go , I ordered the lamb chops as a dine in previously and received a portion of 4 lamb chops. Well I returned and ordered the same time of day and ordered lamb chops to go and this time I received less. I inquired with the 4 o clock manager 7/6/24 and she stated the portions are measured daily .I thought this to be odd ! 🤔. I guess things change as business gets better ?👀

Diner Review №47

Here is my honest review of this place. I came through on Monday, 7/1/2024. Let's see, came in around 3pm. Only a handful of people inside, so I was seated right away. I was offered water immediately. Both servers were pleasant and cordial. I ordered Tom Yum Seafood, Drunken noodles, Pineapple fried rice with chicken, and Papaya salad. Papaya salad was good but was missing the small salted shrimp that are typically in the salad. Drunken noodles were good and was the best dish I ordered. Fried rice was in a to go box, and the box, which is usually overflowing at Asian restaurants, was only 2/3 full. Tom Yum was salty. Either the cook added too much fish sauce or Nam Prik Pao. My guess is Nam Prik Pao since the soup wasn't overly fishy. Overall, 3.5 out of 5 for me. I will be adding this same review on Google Maps and Yelp if anyone wants to see some pictures. I'll be back soon to give this place another try

Diner Review №48

Damn shame that this beautifully decorated establishment is not equipped to execute an order in a timely manner nor prepare the order properly.
1st, we ordered our food via phone at 130, the server said food will be ready in 25 min. I literally live 5 min away so we arrived at 205. My son went in to retrieve the order and was informed that they were still working on it. 10 min go by, 20 min go by and I'm like wth? I finally go in and they say, they're still working on it..
I asked for complimentary drinks, because wth? Basically, a whole hour after placing my order - we received it.
My family ordered:
1. Combination fried rice
2. Pad thai
3. Tom Kha soup (added veggies)
4. Drunken Noodles
5. Green curry (added shrimp)
Not one of these items were prepared well.

The Tom Kha soup had no real flavor. The added veggies we paid for were two leaves of napa cabbage.
The pad thai tasted like pure red chili flakes
The drunken noodles portion size was small
The green curry was overly seasoned and the shrimp was MUSHY! Mushy shrimp is absolutely disgusting. Sadly, i didn't eat the curry until much later in the day, hence why i did not contact them
The combination fried rice was literally white rice with meat.

Although, my family's palate may be extensive, these items could have been executed way better.

I don't like spending $ to get bad service and horrible food..

Good place to eat! Good food! Didn’t care to much for the pad Thai or pad see ew do to both dishes being to saucy for me. But overall nice ambiance. I will be back for the delicious drinks and the curry with rice dish. The veggie spring rolls were a hit.

Diner Review №52

Had one server who was great.but the kitchen prepared our dishes separate. The chicken fried rice was bland. I asked for medium heat and it was not spicy at all. The yellow curry saved the day

Diner Review №53

I had a great time here. The service and food were awesome! I couldn't even finish the meal.

Diner Review №54

It was so nice to eat in a local, small neighborhood restaurant, Thai at that, winning!

The staff was friendly and welcoming.

We had the spinach with beef, it was tasty. We asked for medium heat, but there was no heat and the chilli flakes we added were pretty weak. But the flavor was good, the beef was tender and cooked well.

We also had the Panag Curry, it was also tasty but no heat.

Egg rolls were good.

But the vibe was super chil, parking was easy, not to pricey, serving size was good.

Will go back.

Loved the art work, the most!

Diner Review №58

I was searching for Thai food nearby and discovered this amazing place. My friends and I were thoroughly impressed with the delicious food. We tried the egg rolls, spring rolls, satay chicken, crab fried rice, and drunken noodles – everything was fantastic. The manager even came out to greet us, and the entire staff was exceptionally friendly. The atmosphere was also wonderful. I love this place and will definitely make the trip back.

Diner Review №59

If you know real Thai Food you know this is FAKE Thai Food. I am not impressed. I ordered PANANG and it was so SALTY! I can't even finish it. Every bite is full of salt. I asked for Spicy and if you know what Thai level spicy is you know it's mouth burning hot. Not this. I hate spending my money on bad food! The THAI TEA taste nothing like Thai Tea. How do you mess up Thai Tea? Lol.

Diner Review №60

Great spot all the way around great yellow curry with tofu a must try the coconut base was thick and just right I will definitely try again.. The abundance ambiance is great too... Black Thai""" "

Diner Review №61

The food here is good. As of right now they are going thru some changes, they are very open to talk to customers to get their experience. Brandon “The Server” *there are 2 Brandon’s…lol Was very helpful and informative of the menu and suggestions. I’m not a Curry person I hate it and I told him that but he gave me a sample because he said theirs was different. He wasn’t lying it was good. So I will go back and this time try the curry dishes. Oh I forgot, I had the Pad See Ew with chicken and Thai Ice Tea.

Diner Review №62

We were looking for a new Thai spot to eat at and this place was the closest one. The hospitality and the atmosphere was 10/10 right away. They truly cater to your needs and the service was wonderful. Would definitely make this spot our regular Thai spot now 😌🤝

I've been here twice so far with my daughter...

The first time I was served by Nikki and the second time I was served by Hollie

Both ladies provided excellent customer service...They took our order, brought our food, and answered any questions we had during our visit...

The food here is second to none and I would definitely recommend anyone try it...

Diner Review №67

I absolutely love the green curry! I've been going here for a while, and they've been consistent with the quality and flavor.

Diner Review №68

I was a little disappointed in the Tom Yum soup. I thought that I ordered the soup reflected in the picture, which is not made with coconut milk. There is a soup made with coconut milk, but there is a recipe without the milk. The soup I ordered with $6 extra for shrimp did not include any shrimp. I won't order this again from here.

Diner Review №77

This place is delicious! I’m disappointed that I’ve waited a year since being back to try it! The food is fresh, seasoned well cooked perfectly authentic taste. I ordered togo but asked if I could stay and eat and it wasn’t a problem.

Diner Review №78

Being my first time, I will say Giti is one of the best Thai food restaurants I've eaten at. It's a hidden gem in my community. The owners are fantastic and provide excellent customer service. The food is absolutely delicious.

Diner Review №79

I tried this place for the first time today I heard some good reviews. I placed a take out order and ordered four things it was 80 dollars which I felt was a little pricey and on top of that they charged me to use a credit card and didn’t let me know upfront. Charging to use credit is just insane the food was pretty good but I don’t think I will be back service wasn’t that good!

Diner Review №80

My best friend and I just ate there for lunch today and everything was top notch. Service time was top notch , food was amazing, atmosphere was very warm & welcoming. I have been to Gigi Thai before and my experience was horrible but now with new management & now for those who haven’t been there or had that bad experience before….. need to go and check it out now. Management
( Brandon ) took the time out his busy schedule to talk with us for a bit and gave us his plans for the remodeling of Gita Thai. They have already started and Brandon had more exciting things to share on what else they will be doin. Can’t wait.
Thnx Brandon

Food is really really good! The staff are friendly and the ambience is nice. Prices are a little high, but the portions are a good size. I really liked the Panang Curry. We also ordered the Drunken noodles, combo fried rice and pad see ew - everything was great. The meat is all halal as well.

Plenty of parking in the rear.

Diner Review №82

Felt very welcomed and the food was delicious.

Diner Review №83

It was my first time dining at Giti Thai and earlier today it was a very pleasant experience and my first dining in its uniqueness of being a Black American owned Thai restaurant. The atmosphere is superb with soft and comfortable seating for ones' body, and both cloth tableware to boot! My server was Chris who was both professional and attentive and he made sure my first time experience wld be excellent! And after the food was served and I began to eat it; it was indeed quite delicious and authentic!!!!!!
Giti Thai- may be Windsor Hills' Black Beverly Hills' best kept secret!!!
I'll be back and I encourage other diners to give it a try.

Diner Review №89

Delicious food, friendly owner. Highly recommended to pay them a visit

Diner Review №90

Great experience 👍 delicious.

Diner Review №91

This was my first visit. Food was good, but a little pricier than my usual Thai restaurant

Diner Review №92

Food was okay, service was alright and it was a pleasure to meet the owners. Sadly I will not be back.

Diner Review №93

I decided to give this restaurant another try after my year long break from the establishment. I stopped going because the owner is an arrogant, rude, liar that has no business running a restaurant. Alas, I decided to give them another opportunity to redeem themselves. I placed an order for takeout and checked it before leaving and it was the wrong item. The staff then brought out another, which I checked and was wrong as well. Finally, the third dish was the right one. It doesn’t seem right that they would let a non employee touch and open to go containers, send them back, and still give the dishes to another customer; you don’t know how clean a personas hands are or if they are sick. The only reason I actually ate my dish was because I saw the kitchen staff place it on the counter. The food itself tastes good, and the inexperienced staff were very nice and courteous. If you want Thai food I would suggest saving yourself from a headache and go elsewhere. They also require a payment over the phone for takeout.

Diner Review №94

I've only had take away from here. Being a creature of habit, I get Paid Thai Shrimp and Thai Ice tea every time. 👍🏽✌🏽

Diner Review №95

Giti Thai is an awesome mom and pop spot smack dab in the middle of Los Angeles. The owner JeRome, is a very nice man who comes from humble beginnings. The service was awesome, the food was awesome and guess what? The entire experience was awesome! Please visit and enjoy a great meal.

Diner Review №96

My husband brought me food from here and when he pulled up to drop it off he said it was the first and last time we could get food from there. When I asked why he brought up the price. I thought he was joking! $26 for a not packed container of noodles and side of white rice? Listen, I know inflation is alive and well, and had the portion been bigger or the food been a bit tastier (it was pretty average/standard drunken noodles IMO) then MAYBE I could understand, but nahhh. The online price for drunken noodles said $14.99 so either we got overcharged or they hiked up the price and haven’t adjusted their website. They didn’t even have utensils or at least chopsticks for the takeout order. Luckily I had a plastic fork saved in my car for moments like this but damn. Idk maybe it’s just not for broke folk 😂 But personally I’ve gone to other places and gotten more flavor and portions for less money.

Diner Review №98

Not authentic thai restaurant, not worth it for 50usd. The place looks untidy.

Diner Review №99

Went here for karaoke was nice and had great fun. Food was good, great atmosphere friendly service. I was informed no more karaoke, owner said wasn't doing good financially. Kind of odd though it was packed out for the last 5 weeks I know he made money, very strange?? (Black Owned)

Diner Review №100

Being a Black owned Thai restaurant is what peaked my interest. The food was DELICIOUS!!! SERVICE friendly. ATMOSPHERE inviting. The menu offered a large variety of dishes. Plenty of seating. Karaoke each Monday night. A band plays there, too. Call to find out when they will play again. Pretty cool place. I'll return!

Diner Review №101

Diner Review №102

Diner Review №103

Worst customer service ever. No one seemed to know what was on the menu, first they didn’t carry the items any more and then they said they were out of the items. Guy was very rude. And had to wait to place an order for over 30 minutes. The Guy did not want to help and kept telling me to hold on.

Diner Review №104

Not sure how to rate Giti Thai. Food is good enough but inconsistent, for me. Pineapple fried rice advertised to include shrimp and chicken. When ordered and eaten on site it was very good. Two times after I got all chicken and now, all shrimp. Even after I called it to the attention of the order taker. Medium is so spicy hot I can hardly taste other flavors. Last time, mild level was not flavorful enough. This neighborhood spot won't see much of me.

Went in and was told to seat anywhere we like, sat down but then was relocated because a big party had reserved half the restaurant, barely sat down so okay no problem 🙂. Wanted a seat next to the windows so me and my girl sat in a table for 6 away from the reserved area with approval and seemly without issue. The waiter took our order and brought us water, she was friendly and nice. (I believe the owner) then approached us and asked if we had 4 more people coming to which we then replied no with a face of inconvenience, he then proceeded to remove our empty pre-placed decorative plates and stated “we wouldn’t need them and didn’t want us to break them” we were very confused but we thought he wanted to seem helpful however we didn’t much appreciate the gesture but we politely thanked him anyway. Ordered the yellow chicken curry and drunken beef noodles. It was absolutely delicious and their Thai tea was very good as well. We in total paid around 40$ for two plates and a drink.
Just a note for a black owned restaurant I saw they had Hispanic chefs in the back , I loved the food great flavor good portions but I think the owner needs to let the restaurant do it’s thing, Overall
Food 10/10

Nice spot...will have to go back!

Diner Review №129

I am glad I happened upon this restaurant -- the Green Curry was the best I've ever had!

Diner Review №130

I ordered shrimp fried rice it so expensive and very little food worth 4 shrimp inside for $18. The food is oily and sweet. Don’t put any spoon or sauces Will never return again

Diner Review №131

food very yummy

Diner Review №132

Our groups original outdoor meeting spot got rained out and we stumbled upon this absolute gem. Food was absolutely FIRE, staff was super kid and accommodating for our large group last minute. The service was quick and fresh. Already telling everyone I know to come here. Thanks so much for everything!!

Diner Review №133

Excellent food & service! Try the spicy rice - it had just the right amount of spice and flavor.

Diner Review №134

Food not as moist and flavorful as it used to be

Diner Review №135

Diner Review №136

One of the reallyThai restaurant out there. Plus proud to be black restaurant. Check the menu photo posted here.

Diner Review №137

Really bad Thai food for exorbitant prices. It’s simply just another black owned restaurant appropriating other cultures food in the worst way possible, not hiring anyone from that culture, and charging double the price…. It seems to be a new trend. Avoid at all costs.

Wasn’t going to leave a review but I somehow see this place has over 4 stars. Maybe the 5 star reviews are fake?

Diner Review №138

The satay was on fire. Staff is dope. Halal too!

Diner Review №139

Diner Review №140

Down the street feom Kenneth Hann park this place is a gem! Kevs shrimp is delicious! I’m not even a rice lover and couldn’t stop eating the combination fried rice and the yellow curry is perfect!
Great atmosphere!

Diner Review №141

Best Thai in Inglewood. Really good food, Thai tea was awesome. Friendly service. Thanks!

Diner Review №142

Nice looking restaurant and good service, but the dish I ordered was not good. Ordered pad see ew and it was very very salty, almost inedible. They also didn’t use the wide noodles but the thin ones so it wasn’t really pad see ew. For $20 it wasn’t really worth it.

Diner Review №143

Love this place recommended to all my friends I will be seeing y'all later!

Diner Review №144

After a short hunt for 3 restaurants in the area (2 of which are closed on Sundays), we stumbled into this charming restaurant. The owner-family/management team are lovely. When I walked in ahead of my party, the older gentleman at the front greeted me and knew I was lost.

He was so personable that my group ended up eating at the restaurant. There were a few hiccups during the ordering process (due to the menu system) but no actual problems. The wait staff are very attentive, and the management is very hospitable.

Everyone fully enjoyed their meals.

The restaurant is a great new gem in the neighborhood and city.

Diner Review №145

I enjoyed myself here at this restaurant great staff quick service friendly customer service

Got a chance to personally connect with the owner of the restaurant and was informed that this was the only black Thai food restaurant and not only Inglewood but the entire world

It is also black owned

First visit July 3rd at the suggestion of a new friend and man she nailed it! Very clean, good service and great food. She had the Very Berry Pineapple Curry, I had Shrimp Chow Mein and I wanted to lick the plate when I was done! I'll definitely be back a few more times to explore the menu.

Great chicken teriyaki! Healthy, and tasty!

Diner Review №160

This restaurant environment is beautiful and peaceful. Very clean and welcoming.
I ordered the vegetable egg rolls and Tofu Pad Tai. The food was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented on nice black dishes.
The egg rolls were nice, crispy and delicious. As well as a nice portion size.

The service was great and the servers were friendly and accommodating. LOVED the experience at this beautiful restaurant. I have already referred a friend and will definitely recommend to others. I will certainly return myself.

Diner Review №166

This place needs to close, then reopen just to get their actions correct.
No one wears gloves for food preparations.
So you have to rely on folks washing your hands thoroughly 🙃
They could do very well if they spend the effort to, but you can't force a horse to drink water 💦,if you lead it to water

Diner Review №167

Hmmmm....

Diner Review №168

The staff is so friend. The food is generous and very delicious! Would definately come back

Diner Review №169

Received my delivery with a missing item. Phoned the restaurant and they were very unconcerned and dismissive. We are often asked to patronize black businesses, however, when we do, this is the customer service that we receive. SMDH.

Diner Review №170

Amazing food. The service is excellent and the food is super tasty! I found this place by accident and I’m not disappointed at all!

Diner Review №171

Very good Thai food
Black owned
Deserves a lot more business

Diner Review №172

The food was DELICIOUS! Excellent service by Ms. Katrina and Chef Kevin! Damn that food was good!

Diner Review №173

I ordered egg rolls, yellow curry, fried rice, spicy basil chicken and Pad se Eew. It was all absolutely delicious. All for $78, but it fed 5 people. This is my new go to for Thai food. The best thing is that it’s five minutes from my house!

Diner Review №174

Diner Review №175

Food is excellent! Wait staff is super pleasant but a bit slow. Still, the vibe and food are worth every penny.

Diner Review №176

I was hesitant to leave a review after my first time here, but it this has been my second time, and it's the same experience. When ordering, I was quoted a wait time of 45 mins, only to arrive and be told my food wasn't ready and there would be another 20 minute wait.

I give 3 stars because the service isn't bad nor is the food, as long as you know to add another 20 mins to the wait time.

Update: Another 15 mins and still no food. I tried to cancel my order thru the app when I arrived the first time and was unable, other people in the restaurant are having the same issue. So we have to get the food. Taking a star away

Update: 51 mins later I was given my food, bringing my total wait time 96 mins. I was not offered anything for the wait, simply a thank you for my patience (which I didn't have another choice). I asked for an extra dipping sauce and that was like pulling teeth.

If only Araya Thai didn't close early on Sundays. If you're looking for somewhere to go, take the extra minutes to drive

Diner Review №177

This place was recommended to me by a local business I also patronize and I was not disappointed! I ordered the Gitti wings which comes with a generous side of sweet & sour sauce (a somewhat non-traditional version) that has a little kick to it and a side salad. I honestly was so delighted by the wings & sauce I didn't even try the salad yet but it looks lovely, great presentation! I also ordered the Spicy Thai Basil with Shrimp. It was quite flavorful and not too spicy either. The Thai tea was also delicious. Great customer service, clean, and welcoming environment. Highly recommend! Will definitely be back to try other menu items. Unfortunately I cannot post photos the wings are no longer with us, just trust my testimony!

Diner Review №178

This review is not a nag, nor is a complaint, is just a review based on the experience we had.
Owner please note that I don't seek a reply, or acknowledgement, or even a make up meal. The bottom line is, this establishment has lost my business permanently.
Aledgelly the only black owned Thai food restaurant in the world...
I'm glad because it sucks.
The breakdown:
According to the servers they are understaffed. Point taken, however, it wasn't that busy.
Literally I told my wife upon examination of the menu: "this prices better be justified with an excellent culinary experience" they weren't.
The service was as bad as they come, we were ignored for a while, took about 10 minutes before anyone checked on us, by that time we were ready to order not only drinks, but the food as well.
Three of us asked for hot tea, 1 soda. The food came first 40 minutes later, we asked more than twice for our drinks and they kept forgetting. At last I had to get off the table and asked again. We were told then that there's a tea station, literally 5 steps from our table and that we were welcome to help ourselves (no problem, they should have mentioned from the start) but there wasn't any hot water, the coffee machine carafe glass was broken, so basically useless.
For the main dish, the food review:
Never have I tasted Thai food this bad, we been to many Thai food restaurants over the years, our kids love Thai food. We even have a couple of places that are our favorites, even if they are far, we make a point to visit again from time to time.
Our kids disliked the food so much, they didn't finish their plates, my wife and I try to eat, but we gave up, we took leftovers home hopping perhaps in a moment of desperation we would eat it, but no, they got thrown out.
I asked for the pineapple fried rice, albeit, no shrimp because I'm allergic to seafood, but it came with shrimp anyway, got sent back to the kitchen.
All dishes came in at different times, order was wrong over and over.
Do yourself a favor and avoid the disappointment, this restaurant is not worth it...

Great food and excellent customer service

Diner Review №180

Best Thai in town! Mango Mochi is amazing 😻 and the staff is friendly!

Diner Review №181

The treatment from this establishment was unreal.

Diner Review №182

I was visiting my son in LA so I tagged along with him and his two roommates. Thai was the answer!

This unassuming restaurant is in an alcove in a strip mall. The Thursday night we were there, the owner was celebrating a birthday and the year anniversary of opening. Balloons floated above the chairs, tied by strings. There was one solo diner and our table of four. The owner had a handful of friends joining him in his celebration, complete with a talented, albeit loud, alto saxophone player. Free entertainment! It was heart warming witnessing their enjoyment.

Our waiter, Kevin...He was EVERYTHING!! He was pleasant, efficient, friendly and chatty. We talked and laughed about silly life stuff. Kevin runs a knife shop across the walk way. What a pleasure and a genuine asset to Giti Thai, in whatever capacity.

The food....I ordered the Pineapple Rice. I was afraid to order the spicy spicy and I regret it. While the dish was tasty, there was literally zero bite to it. That being said, I would definitely recommend it, but ask for spicy if you want some zing.

My son ordered the Pad Thai and was happy with his selection. Someone had the Drunken Noodles and larger than expected bowls of soup were ordered. No complaints and we all went home with to-go containers.

It was a lovely evening and I hope this restaurant makes it through all this covid mess, especially when it appears they opened in the middle of it all!

Give it a try!!

Diner Review №183

First I would like to say that I think the people working here are all very sweet and are doing the best they can with the resources they have been given. Unfortunately, that is not enough to really make this restaurant a success. I can see that many people love this place, and they consistently had a lot of to-go orders while I was there, so they are doing something right, but I would still consider this a failed experiment.

Despite living less than two blocks away, I avoided eating here because whenever I looked at the menu the prices seemed a little high. Finally I decided to give in a try, and in the end my bill was not that much, but there were issues with both of the items I ordered. I ordered an appetizer (chicken wings) and a curry. My chicken wings came out and within sixty seconds my curry came out. The wings themselves were ok, but half of the plate was drum sticks and they were very dry (overcooked). Thene there was the curry. I had to ask them to heat it up because it came out room temperature. Once it was hot, it was pretty good. The rice that came with the curry clearly had been cooked much earlier in the day and had started to dry out and become chewy.

I ordered a sparkling water and the waiter was very sweet and eager to make sure I was satisfied and went next door to the liquor store to get me something. When I was leaving I saw the bottled water they have is the kind that you can get from costco in a huge pack that costs like twenty cents per bottle. This is what I mean when I say there's something weird happening because how are you going to have $30 menu items but only have the absolute cheapest bottled water..like just get some bottles of San Pellegrino please

There is some kind of disconnect happening where it doesnt seem the owners are present and aware of what's going on or they are just inexperienced and not sure how to run a restaurant properly. I am gonna guess that this is their first venture in the restaurant business.

Oh also: when you enter the restaurant, you are greeted with some cute Halloween themed decorations, including a rotting pumpkin. Yes that's right, there is a rotting moldy pumpkin on the counter where the host greats you. I kid you not. There's a literal decomposing pumpkin.

This is a local black-owned spot. The inside is basic, but cute. Parking is easy. There was a staffing shortage the day we went, but the owner was very attentive. Once the food came out it was worth the wait. We got the drunken noodles which were awesome. The kung pao chicken was incredible and was honestly the best I've ever had. It wasn't overloaded with too many ingredients and soggy vegetables like at some other places. The fried rice was good, but standard. I wish I had taken pics before digging in, but I know I'll be back.

Diner Review №188

This food was absolutely excellent! Service was fast, and there was ample seating with no wait. Large restaurant that can accommodate large parties so definitely keep them in mind.

Diner Review №189

Finally a Thai place that is really close to home. The food is very good. I went just on impulse and was very delighted with my meal.

Diner Review №190

I LOVE Tom Yum soup. So I ordered Tom Yum with Shrimp. With that said, DO NOT order the Tom Yum soup--you'll receive an over-priced tomato soup. No flavor! The base of the soup is oddly sweet--not sour, not even sweet and sour. Not kidding. I received a lot of half sliced baby tomatoes in there too. BABY TOMATOES! What? Plenty of Bella mushrooms! BELLA MUSHROOMS! Que? And some bamboo shoots. The quantity of shrimp was good--but that was the only good thing about this soup. I'm eating this soup now--sad. I paid $21 for this soup and a side of steamed white rice--mad. Pleasee improve the recipe and ingredients you use or remove it from the menu.

Diner Review №192

Flavor is on point. A little pricey but portions are big.

Diner Review №193

They take forever on the food...need an extra cooker

Diner Review №194

Delicious food on every visit! Should do what is necessary to hold onto chefs!

Diner Review №195

I ordered the pad Thai with chicken. There was absolutely no pad Thai flavor. To have spent $16 the food was horrible. I’ll never go back

Diner Review №196

Nice atmosphere flavors are good just the chicken and the green onions are chopped too large other than that the spicy pepper sauce was a little too salty other than that very good

Diner Review №197

Place is legit! Spicy basil with rice and chicken AND panang curry was awesome! Place is clean and parking in back. Nice to find so close to home :)

Diner Review №198

Had the basil stir fry with tofu. Absolutely delicious 😋

Diner Review №199

Handsome halal boy was very nice to me and my friends and even offered us a 100% discount. The food was very good and service was great excluding the halal bengali boy with abs.

Diner Review №200

Absolutely love this place! The Thai food is fantastic. Veggies are very fresh, meat is all Halal, and it’s Black owned! The pad wood sen, drunken noodle, pad Thai, tom yum, tom kha, coconut shrimp, Kev’s shrimp rolls, papaya salad, crying tiger, and the mango sticky rice were all delicious, and the staff and owners very friendly. Cant wait to come back for more!
