One our favorite place for Thai food. Service is excellent. They have outdoor dining which is great if you have a dog. We had the crispy calamari, crispy pork belly, chicken green curry, creamy tom yum, chicken pad thai and eggplant with tofu. Everything was good. The pad thai was a little strong on peanut flavor. The crispy pork belly was very good specially if you eat it with the onions.
Authentic Thai cuisine with excellent service and a great atmosphere for dinner.
I had the drunken man noodles, creamy tom yum soup, and mango sticky rice. All dishes were awesome.
Since the place seems pretty popular, you may need to wait 5-10 minutes to get seated.
This is probably tied for my favorite spot in Vacaville. Highly recommended!
So we came within like an hour of closing, knowing we were pushing it and this isn’t really the best manners. We asked them if it was okay to be seated and the man at the front was more than happy to seat us and said “of course, no problem!” 🥹
The server took our order and they food came out pretty quickly. The mango nata is very good, the drunken noodles were bomb and the kids meal was very cutely displayed.
The honey mustard gyoza was probably my favorite of the night! I see now why this place is so popular and I imagine we will come back to try more items.
Rice Barn is a true Thai food gem. The food, atmosphere, and service are genuine and amazing. The restaurant is clean and has lots of parking, there is a good flow of customers. The Thai tea and Thai coffee are a must-have. For starters, we hand soft shell crabs with crispy noodles and fried calamari. Both are perfectly good and flavorful. Entrees were Drunken Lady Noodles and Basil Chicken with Jasmine rice.. simply amazing, very flavorful, and mind-blowing food overall.
A great experience. I was seated right away. The menu had a lot of options of different Thai food. The atmosphere was great as everything was clean and the design well thought out. There is a lot of space inside but also area to sit outside during the warmer weather. Definitely will go again to try different dishes.
The food is yummy here. My husband and I came for dinner. There were no seats inside available at 6pm, and luckily it was a lovely evening to sit outside. I gave the atmosphere a 3 because when you walked inside it had a strong smell of cleaning fluid which is not the aroma you want.
Our service was very good overall. Our server was very friendly and prompt. I wish the meals came out together, as it was breezy and my husband would not start eating without me and his food cooled while he was waiting for my dinner to arrive. Then they brought out my plate and his meal again. So maybe an error in the kitchen?
We've been a few times and the food is consistently good.
Great food!
The food is delicious. A very friendly environment.
San Francisco quality food at Vacaville prices. Can't be beat. This is really fine dining and certainly the best Oriental food we have in Vacaville
There is usually a really long wait but it's worth it for the food. I lived in Central and Northern Thailand for 5 years and the food is really amazing. I highly recommend the Chicken Kow Soy. It's a local Chiang Mai dish that I've never found anywhere else in the US. My favorite.
Place was busy since it was Saturday during lunch but we still got seated right away. Service was friendly and fast. Food was good and the prices were pretty affordable.
The first thing was our ears were assaulted by a loud gong they were beating to celebrate someone's birthday. The yellow curry was great, but the rice "cones" were dried out like they were sitting under a heat lamp. The green curry was watery and filled with more hard green beans than I have ever experienced. The noodles in the pad see you were tough, and there was not enough chicken. The peanut explosion was tasty, but the broccoli was mostly stems. I would have given 5 stars for service, but they do that thing that a lot of Thai restaurants do, they bring out one dish, and then there is a long wait for the next one, and then another, and another. It's maddening. I would rather they wait until all the entrees are ready before bringing it to the table.
WE ARE GOING TO DRIVE TO VACAVILLE...THIS EXTENSIVE MENU IS INTRIGUING...FOR AN APPETIZER- PORK BELLY / SPRING ROLL / SOFT TAIL CRAB...ENTREE NOT DECIDED YET...I BELIEVE I WOULD ALSO ORDER THE FROG LEGS...SHE WOULD LIKE TO ORDER THE LOBSTER & NOODLE DISH...TRIVIA: DEFINITELY FOOD WOULD BE GOING HOME...EXTRA TRIVIA: VIEWED ON CHECK PLEASE BAY AREA...
Excellent, balanced seasoning seafood, rice cooked to perfection! No complaints; definitely worth the drive!
Staff is very attentive. Usually one or two people are keeping an eye on you.
Fantastic Thai food, friendly workers and clean place
How have I not reviewed this place yet? It’s because I’m too busy talking about it and recommending it to all my friends!! Absolute fav. When we moved across the country this is what I missed most!!!
The lunch eggplant with chicken dish was very tasty. It was prepared as stated on the menu. This was my second visit to this restaurant. The food and service were as good as they were the first time.
Hands down the best Thai food in Solano County. If you go, get the Fresh Rolls and the Drunken Man Pork Belly. You will thank me later!
Great place to eat a casual meal. The food was fresh and tasty. The spring rolls were especially good. The plates were sharing size, so we got a few for the table. The service was very friendly and the seating was comfortable.
Have eaten here 3 times and its always delish with wonderful service
Rice Barn was kind enough to offer Veterans a free meal on Veterans Day! We called ahead, had the order ready when we arrived, and served us with a smile! The food is ALWAYS delicious, hot, and FRESH!!!
Authentic Thai cuisine with excellent service and a great atmosphere for dinner.

Ordered Thai hot and it was more sweet than it was hot
Food and service are excellent. Bangkok Noodles are our favorite. Shareable, we split it and were still stuffed. First time we each had our own, far too much. The menu is extensive. Too bad we live three states away.
We were delighted to find this place! The food was good. My partner likes HOT food, like hot enough to make you sweat. And, the Rice Barn gave him exactly what he'd asked for. I was happy they made the larb salad with tofu for me - tofu isn't a normal option on their salad menu. However, they were very accommodating.
I’ve been coming to Rice Barn for years frequently with family, now I will never return. I had a dinner with my boyfriend who is an African American man. We paid cash, a server even took the cash and gave us back change. We left, and another server who was an overweight girl with colored hair ran after us and chased us out of the door asking, “Oh were you gonna pay Apple Pay?” and physically tapped his shoulder in front of multiple people and all the guests sitting outside. After we responded that we already paid cash, she said okay well come with me because I need to make sure and had us follow her back in the store so she can verify that we paid. After she talked to the girl who took the cash she didn’t apologize or care and we left. Absolutely humiliating! I would never come back here and if you’re a POC be ready to get racially profiled!
Poor service we waited for 35 mins and our food wasn’t even ordered . I like the food but the service is zero !!!! The manager only apologized! We will never go back !!!!!
A great experience. I was seated right away. The menu had a lot of options of different Thai food. The atmosphere was great as everything was clean and the design well thought out. We've been a few times and the food is consistently good.
Nice place, great food and friendly staff. We ordered 6 dishes to get a good sample of their food. Five of the dishes were delicious and one was good. I went back a couple of days later for take out.
The patio is very nice and the location is great. Food was good however there were limited options for vegetarian food except house salad and summer rolls.
Great food. Not as spicy as I was expecting. Next time I'll probably try the Thai spicy level. Chanisarra was my waitress she was cool.
Update: the food and service were good, but I did get what appeared to be food poisoning in the same day. I ate the leftovers and got more sick so it does look like that maybe what happened. Still 5 stars but.... ouch why
The Thai coffee is fire tho
Very crowded the way the seating is set up. Rude people at the bar were taking up so much room with their plates ( very unnecessary) and me and my friend had to sit very close to the end.
Best food stop we’ve ever had driving to Tahoe. Accommodated our two small dogs on their patio. Amazing food quality and portion sizes. Hope to return soon (:
Best thai food in solano county!
QUALITY THAI FOOD! The service is outstanding, super authentic, and the food is DELICIOUS. I can’t say enough about this place. Every single time I come here I’m never disappointed. The prices are what you would expect for a dinner out. The quality and atmosphere are worth the extra few dollars.
Tom Kha soup used to be my favorite. Now it's sub par. Recipe changed? Now I do not care to go back
Haven't tried a lot of Thai places, maybe three. Other two were nothing special but I went to Rice Barn with two of my girlfriends because they LOVE IT HERE and so I tagged along. I apologize but I cant even remember the multiple different items I ate and tried but what I can say is it was ALL so yummy! The place is cute, not big, nice waitress.
This was my new favorite restaurant in Vacaville…. Until tonight. The prices are quite high for an eatery in Vacaville (maybe they forgot that they are not in SF or Napa), but I made excuses because the food was decent to good and the servers seemed kind and thoughtful and it was a new place that needed support. However tonight The dishes all came out at different times, we had to remind our (very nice) server numerous times that several of our dishes had not been served, and we sat and watched people come and go as we waited for our dinner dishes. This would normally have been forgiven and chalked up to a bad night, except for the yellow curry experience.
I have ordered the yellow curry (a staple of mine in most Thai restaurants) at least 5-7 times. Tonight it was runny w floating oil drops. We assumed it was a mistake and graciously asked for a re-do. It was done, but was put in a to go container and was never given to us. When we asked and finally got it, half the curry sauce was missing leaving veggies bare and dry . When we asked for a cup more sauce at the end with leftovers we were told no, we had to buy a new dish. Then a very short, scowling, unkind man with glasses told us we were taking too long and there was a large party that was waiting. Instead of telling him that if the service had not been so uncoordinated and slow and if the food had not been poorly prepared, we would have been finished 30min earlier and he would not have had an opportunity to be SO rude … we paid the over $160 for 3 people and left. I could not let such a bad experience go unreviewed. The place is now officially on my “worst places to dine” list.
Awesome dinner. Excellent childs plate. Large vegetarian food. Crab rice was my favorite.
We've been coming to Rice Barn for a number of years now. We enjoy the staff. The food is fresh and delicious. It's clean and well maintained. It has become one of two Thai restaurants we frequent.
I absolutely love their food. Great service.
This place in incapable of making thai hot food. Every time I order here I emphasize extra extra thai hot please use 10 thai chilies and the food is mild at best. No more business from me.
Great food period
Pleasant, calming interior with good seating options and, when weather permts, nice outdoor seating. Have dined inside, outside and taken carry-out. All good.
Many appetizing selections on the menu. Shareable servings. Personable service. There are not many restaurants left that offer fine table service and food that's like five stars without taking forever. A relaxing, satisfying visit for all four at our table.
I have been here many times and every time is a great experience. I choose something different each time I go and tonight was the Peanut Explosion with shrimp! It was so delicious! Its definitely my favorite place to eat around here and the service is always excellent. I highly recommend.
Amazing Authentic Thai Food!! I love it here
A great Thai place in an unassuming place. Ordering it spicy is pretty spicy!
Excellent food, fun, atmosphere and excellent service. The tables are a ADA compliant at a height that a wheelchair could fit and the restrooms are ADA compliant. They also make every effort to accommodate clients in wheelchairs, walkers and scooters. Overall we Zenith.NEMT rate them out of 10 out of 10.! Do visit Rice barn, Thai eatery, and Zenith will take you there
Had a great dining experience at rice barn. The service was good, friendly, attentive... also enjoyed the plating of meals with lots of cute diningware and options. At times a bit cluttered on the table but nonetheless nice.
Food is great with a couple misses. Spring rolls are noted as 8 pieces but really just two standard size spring rolls cut in 4s. They are served with peanut sauce and a sweet chili sauce, both tasty! Liked the mango in the spring rolls. The lemon chicken was really fantastic, with a nice subtle lemon flavor and super crunchy, savory batter fry. The samosa equally were delicious and freshly prepared, kind of reminded me of a handpie in their make and I loved how buttery and crunchy they were.
The ramen advertised dishes either did not include noodles or noodles were not included in our orders as prepared, though the broth was savory and had a nice bit of umami to the flavor. If the former, then rice is a few extra dollars. The drunken noodles had wonderfully bouncy, wide noodles and tons of protein and veggies, though the beef was a bit tough and chewy. The squid ink noodles were pretty sweet. The Thai iced tea/ coffee are both really delicious. Overall really enjoyed the dining experience though there were some opportunities in the dishes. Thanks for the great service.
Hidden jewel!! The food is finger licking good! The calamari was so good. The oxtail soup!!
A great way to start the evening ten towns away from San Francisco. Arrived a few hours later, arrived in Vacaville to enjoy best in class luscious Red Wines paired with Rice Barn specials of the day, Pad Cha crocodile and Lamb Masaman to name few. Got these pictures to show it off! What a great time with my hubby and I. Thanks P Andy to keep us company. Really enjoyed ขอบคุณค่ะ ;)#12.18.23
Amazing good, best food in Vacaville and customer service is nice to give a tea for a mixup. Indoor is very beautiful and spacious and the staff is very kind. 100% would recommend for any palette
Ordered pineapple fried rice with chicken, sautéed eggplant with beef, and fried calamari to go. All of it was excellent. Inside the restaurant had a really nice, inviting vibe. I will definitely be back for more. Thank you
Great place for lunch, good food and reasonably priced.
Food is always cooked to perfection
I’ve tried a few dishes here but I always go back to the crispy chicken with ginger rice. It’s so so good. We also love the tom yum soup, spicy and comforting. The portion of protein in the tom yum soup is very big and filling. We love ordering take out from this place.
Dumplings were so good
The menu is amazing, so extensive it was hard to decide! We shared a feast with the always exceptional jumbo shrimp served in appetizers, soups, and the huge pad Thai entree ! Excellent attentive staff with impeccable service on a Sunday afternoon with many happy patrons; we didn't mind waiting fifteen minutes as the quality, pricing, and creative cuisine provided plenty of food to take home as well. Rice Barn is a happy destination!
Impressive Thai cuisine. Indoor and outdoor seating; excellent service. We'll definitely go again.
Best Thai food ever and I am 79 years old.
Their honey mustard gyoza and basil chicken fried rice are amazing!! Their Thai iced tea is really good too. Definitely coming back 😊
The atmosphere and service here is amazing. Everyone was very kind and the aesthetics are beautiful. Very clean and simple inside. Food was very fresh, pricey but good. Not as large portioned as some Thai places. A very good option for a date. Can be busy at mealtimes, so might want to plan ahead.
Absolutely delicious food❗️🤤 Fast service. BIG PORTIONS. Great place to go with friend and a family. Reasonable prices $15-20 per person.
Classic Thai dishes with creative additions that you don't see at other Thai restaurants. Only 15min wait for group of 6 on a busy Sunday afternoon. Indoor and covered outdoor seating.
We ordered:
-Pad Se You (very flavorful and we'll balanced)
-Kao Soi (comforting, creamy, velvety soup with egg noodles and tons of chicken)
-cripy pork belly 👍🏽
-lemon chicken (juicy & crispy at the same time)
-spicy black ink noodles (not really spicy, light/not heavy balanced flavors, large shrimp)
-mango nata & watermelon Sling (very refreshing)
Ordered ice tea with no ice and they only filled 3/4 of the cup. Ordered Basil fried rice and there was no flavor to it. Would not recommend it but if it's anyone's cup of tea up to you to try it
Everything about this place was great. Super friendly staff. The food was fresh and on point. Drunken noodles and calamari were solid! Everybody loved what they ordered.
Always loved thai food!! And this wasn’t a disappointment as per usual. First time here! Very good flavorful food!! The lady servers were very nice and welcoming all through out. Definitely coming back!!
The Bangkok Noodles is one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten.
Best Thai food in Solano county hands-down.
It's no wonder that there is a wait when the food is this good. Make sure to reserve your seats ahead of time. The food was great and the only thing I would love to see is more servers. These guys work here and never seem to have enough time. I recommend the crispy fried pumpkin as an appetizer, the spicy pad Thai and the pineapple fried rice because they are all 10 out of 10
Thai food. This place is on a different level. I can't remember if I ever had Thai food before. The dishes were colorful. The flavors were rich, decadent. I've always heard about this place and it's rave reviews but never expected the caliber of food these people are cooking. This place is extraordinary. Their people are special. A must experience. Mind blown.
Delicious and great service! Portions are huge!
I just love this place and the employees. The food is great and the dinner portions are plentiful. I know the owner and he is just wonderful ❤️
I like the pad Thai and how big the serving is , some Thai restaurant are just so small serving. The pork belly appetizer is good too. The crispy chicken fried rice it’s ok, the rice has some kind a flavor that I don’t like. We surely will be back to try other food. I hope they are strict with food-contact because I’m bringing my son who is allergic to peanut😩 servers are friendly , cocktails are very sweet which I don’t like🤷🏻♀️ pricey too beyond that pretty good
Just poor customer service. We ended up leaving.
Worst customer service.
Had the worst experience yesterday, after being seated, my fiance, best friend, my son and I each ordered a dish to share, we ordered the house fried rice which looked and tasted soo bland, the pad thai noodles dish which was pretty decent. Except for the chicken in the dish which had no flavor and tasted soo bland, we also ordered the papaya salad that was flavorful, and a beef dish that tasted soo gamey, we were already disappointed in the food immediately but didn't complain, we chalked it up as Maybe the feel a bit rushed due to the restaurant being very busy. We have came to this restaurant previously and had no complaints. After being served, no on came to check on us, we had to stop a waitress a few times, to ask for extra napkins, water refills and some chili sauce. Once we finished what we could, we asked for boxes and the check, our bill came out to $70.28, in which we paid with a $100 bill, the waitress took our money, then came right back stating that she didn't have change for a big bill, In which I reminded her that my change would be less than $30, she then asked us to use a credit card, we responded by letting her know that we had cash only, she then walked away, we were surprised, the restaurant was packed so how could they not have change? 10 mins passed and no one came back to our table, my fiance stopped a waitress to ask her what was going on. , she came to our table and stated that they couldn't take our money because it was "not good" I asked her why she felt that way? I had a new $100 bill however earlier that day I dropped my money in a small puddle which I explained to her, so it had a small bit of dried debris on it..i asked her if that was the reason, she then left and came back with the original waitress who claimed to be the manager. They kept asking us to use apple pay (we are Android users) or for us to go to the bank, at which time it's not 7:37pm. The bank isn't open, I asked her to run the bill through their machine to verify the money was not counterfeit, she walked away again, the waitress from before stated that they didn't have change and that was the reason they couldn't take the 100, however the "manager" stated it wasn't real, at this point we are embarrassed and annoyed, after another 10 mins of waiting. While the "manager" made a phone call, she finally took the money and brought back our change within seconds..this was soo unnecessary, we were treated like criminals while one waitress laughed, i reminded her that we"ve been there plenty of times in which the manager stated she remembered me, ive always paid with debit, or smaller bills in cash. this needless to say, we will never be returning,
A brilliant fusion menu of Thai and Asian cuisine. Outstanding flavor and value. They even make their own peanut sauce which, served with the spring rolls is extraordinary!
Always love the curry, my favorite. I only wish they would boil/cook the potatoes a little longer before serving --- other than that, I enjoy the service and portions!
Stumbled across this place during our visit to Vacaville and we were super impressed. Loved the food and service. Large portions.
I just want to say Vacaville is lucky to have them, easily the best thai food place in the area if not in the whole bay area. I rated 4/5 because I think they should move on from using those aluminum water cups to something more “sanitary”. I feel like due to the inside corner of the rim, it can accumulate stuff in there. I get the theme but I hope they look into switching to something better if sticking to a themed water cup.
This is quite possibly the best Thai I've had from Georgia to California! The panang curry is jam packed so much flavor is incredible!!! Sweet, spicy, just ... Perfect! The Pad See You is really really good!! I had the Drunken Noodles before and they were good but I prefer the Pad See You. I will probably be coming back here every week 🤷🏿♂️. Don't judge me! When you move somewhere, it's hard to find staples that remind you of home like a solid barber, pizza shop, Chinese food place and Thai place. I'm excited to see I've found my Thai spot here and my Chinese food place not too far away.
Nice restaurant tasty food
The actual restaurant is nice looking and in a great area of Vacaville but the food really let this place down. I've been to Thailand many times over the years so I know how authentic Thai food should taste.
We orders tom yam khung soup which tasted as if a bag of sugar was added, it was so sweet we only had a few mouthfuls and left the rest. I Ordered a pad Thai and beef with Thai basil, again both dishes were sickly sweet. It really ruined the food, I can't understand why some Thai restaurant do this to their food just to cater for the American pallette. I feel like id become diabetic if I ate here often. Will not be returning.
Good food, generous portions and great staff! Green curry was really good with a nice bite to it. The calamari was a bit chewy but everything else we ordered was delicious.
Went early evening. Was lucky to get a seat inside. Lots of outdoor seating available too. Food is out of the world. Menu is unique along with regular Thai classics. Look for chef's special. Quantity is huge. Tamarind shrimp, fried dumpling, seafood-eggplant curry were top notch. Mango nata and Thai tea were refreshing. We had no room for desert, but will try next time ;)
Had the mango shrimp curry, and it blew my mind how good it was 🤤
Awesome place for a strip mall. They have outdoor dining which seemed nice. We ate indoors and had a nice atmosphere the music was low and it was classy.
The pork belly makes me want to go back. The coconut curry was to die for. Was really impressed with the mango shrimp.
I was even impressed with the silver cups will let the water was served in.
Always loved coming to this place when I went to Vacaville. Last time I went, I got the vegetable curry and I had a worm in it. Glad I didn't order rice with it, or I probably didn't see it. They did comp the meal which is nice but normal, but didn't ask me if I wanted something else
This restaurant is amazing the food 🤯🤯🤯 I’m not a picky vegetarian and my first time trying Thai food was here and I will not eat anywhere else…
Great food and more options then most Thai restaurants.
Everything was great. Food delish and creative. Service excellent.
Would have given 5 stars if...
Bathrooms were clean
Took 1 and half hours to get my food....RIDICULOUS DO NOT COME HERE
Very good food and great service
Rice Barn is a true Thai food gem. The food, atmosphere, and service are genuine and amazing. The restaurant is clean and has lots of parking, there is a good flow of customers. Too crowded. Food and drinks were good. Overall good presentation.
Loved it.
I'll definitely be back.
Great atmosphere as well.
The food was absolutely delicious 😋
I used to love this restaurant. It tasted true Thai but we recently went and it wasn’t as good as it was. The bbq pork tasted more like fried pork chop and the crab rice tasted like they used canned crab. :(
Pretty good. A bit busy at times but they are pretty quick and the food tastes really good.
We used to live in the area, moved away for >four years, and are stopping through on our current move. This place is just as good and better than we remembered. They were 5/5 stars to start and they've still gotten better!
The food is incredible, the servers are absolutely awesome, and it's just a lovely experience.
My favorite and now my go to place for Thai food. Everything was delicious, and the staff is just attentive enough. Not to overbearing and not to little.
Tasty food in large portions. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Indoor and outdoor dining are available.
Our favorite!
Food is always so amazing. The portions are a good size. Prices are affordable. I keep introducing this place to my friends when they come to visit.
Incredibly fantastic experience! The food were amazing and tasty. So much flavors are packed in the dishes and its demonstrated an excellent quality control in the kitchen!
I highly recommend anyone to try out this amazing spot as the foods and experience are definitely worth the price.
We enjoyed the food very much, it was the first time for mom and dad and I wanted them to try your delicious food, they enjoyed it!
Small place, but the food...Wow! We ordered pad Thai with chicken, fried rice with tofu, and yellow chicken curry. Everything was flavorful, with just the right amount of spice, no hot lips here. But the yellow curry was the best, although the sauce was thin, the flavors are amazing. I'd be back just for that and a bowl of rice.
Great place good food and service...
Yummmm! One of the best Thai foods I have had! Thai curry was yummy! Desserts were soo good!
Great food!! Usually not that excited for Thai, but this place changed me. I am looking forward to my next visit and meal there. Wonderful staff, clean restrooms and eaisy to get to.
So so good 👍
Outstanding team, service and food!
I wish I could give them 10 stars. My first time here and it was just my chance. I live in the Bay Area and was meeting a friend midway who was visiting Sacramento, so I picked this place.
Everything was unique about this place. Their dishes were unique, serving style like I have never seen before in a Thai restaurant, and unique dishes.
I have attached a lot of pictures, please check them out to find out what I am talked about.
We ordered Tom yum soup, gyozas, and soft shell crab with noodles for apps. Yumm!!
Entrees were green curry, lobster tail with truffle fried rice, and pad Thai. Loved all of them.
In the end, we ordered mango stick rice for desert. We will be back for sure!
Outstanding Thai food! Fairly large portions of really tasty food always has me leaving full
