Chaiyo!
I like businesses that help the community. Thai Chaiyo was sending a portion of a days profits to the L.A. food bank for the fire victims.
I've seen good reviews and wanted to give them a try. I had the BBQ rib lunch special with rice salad, and two egg rolls. The food was tasty. You get a good portion for your money, and the service is great. Everyone is so nice. I would definitely return.
Want some delicious Thai food that will make you feel full and satisfied? This is the place to go. All authentic Thai dishes. The portions are huge and well worth the price. Every dish has a bursting flavor. The spicy pad thai and the curry are one of my favorites. The staff was really nice and they were on top of making sure I had everything I needed. The place is located in a nice area also. You have to try the fried dipped in their sweet and sour sauce. The sticky rice and mango is one of my favorite desserts and they made it perfect. So yummy. If you dont believe me, go try it out yourself. You will not be disappointed. Keep up the great work Thai Chaiyo.
I’m so happy discovering this super yummy Thai restaurant. They decorate the dishes so beautifully with fresh flowers. They also make their food fresh with no MSG.
Highlights of the menu:
1. Thai tea sunset
2. Chaiyo chicken - specialty dish
3. Thai fish cake
4. Coconut shrimp
5. Grilled shrimp salad
6. Tom yum - lemongrass and lime broth
7. Pad see ew - sweet black bean and large rice noodles
8. Roasted duck in red curry
Amazing service, super quick and friendly.
Cozy atmosphere, came to have some dinner. This place seemed popular around me so I decided to stop by since I was in the mood for Thai. So, I ordered the mini Thai table @$29 dlls you get Tom yum soup with chicken(a good portion). Pad Thai with shrimp or chicken option & 4 egg rolls. (That’s a deal!)
As I was looking at their IG I noticed an appetizer that looked good so I decided to try it. OMG! If you like green onions and rice cakes; You definitely want to try the rice cake chives! This was my favorite 😋
Stopped by here for a late lunch and from the moment I walked everyone was so welcoming! You could definitely tell that they deeply care about every dish. My favorites were the Chaiyo chicken and the pineapple red curry. Also the dishes were so pretty! Every dish was perfectly plated with hand carved carrot flowers. Standout from the desserts was the Thai Tea panna cotta, highly recommend! Shoutout to the sweet owners, Maple and her husband, for taking the time to explain every dish! They taught us that Chaiyo means cheers!
For what it is - hole-in-the-wall, mom & pop, local Thai joint - Thai Chaiyo is delightful. I judge pad kee mao from photos, if the sauce isn't right, it's not happening. This has that gorgeous rich wok color and flavor. The Thai ice tea is lovely, too. The portions generous.
The aunties who run the place are lovely. I can tell they care about their space, it feels like an extension of their home. There's lovely homemade art on the walls and the space is as clean as most restaurants can get.
There's an array of Thai snacks available for purchase at the front, too - love that.
Beware: if you ask for spicy, they'll deliver.
Great family owned business. My favorite is the kana moo krob, it's always fresh and tasty! I've also tried their yellow curry and drunken noodles - both are yummy. They also feature a solid lunch special for under $15.

Rude staff on pickup
Were unable to dine and went elsewhere. Dining space is quite limited; were willing to wait but employees were overwhelmed and not welcoming, so we left.

This Thai restaurant is a hidden gem! It’s hands down the best Thai food I’ve had in Orange County. The Tom Yum Soup is absolutely amazing. The service is warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere is cozy. 10 out of 10.
This is the most kind restaurant I may have ever been to. Very Buddhist like.
Tonight, a gentle, unwashed man of the street walked in and asked to use the bathroom to wash his hands.
They led him to the bathroom and then asked him if he would like something to eat.
They cooked up two to-go containers for him as he waited outside (so as not to disturb the patrons (his choice).
The food is great too.
This place is poorly organized and severely understaffed. There’s no greeter at the door, leaving many customers standing around confused and mixing in with the takeout line. Most tables were covered in dirty dishes, with nowhere for new customers to seat themselves. It’s clear they haven’t hired enough staff, as the few employees present were overwhelmed, scrambling to keep up.
I was told my takeout order would be ready in 20 minutes, but I ended up waiting nearly 50, making me late for my next commitment. The food was mediocre, and despite my request for no spice due to my husband’s dietary needs, the dish came spicy, so he couldn’t even eat it. This experience was disappointing and a waste of money.

From the moment you step into Thai Chaiyo, you know you’re in for a treat. The attention to detail and authenticity shine through not only in the atmosphere but in every dish they serve.
The Crab Claw Meat Fried Rice was a standout—rich, flavorful, and packed with generous portions of sweet crab meat that melted in your mouth. The Green Beans Spicy Chili Paste with Pork ‘Prik Khing’ delivered a perfect balance of spice and savory flavors, with fresh and crisp green beans cooked to perfection. And don’t get me started on the Chaiyo Chicken! Tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor in every bite.
What sets this spot apart is the clear care and craft in every dish. Each bite is a delightful journey through the layers of flavor that make authentic Thai cuisine so special. The portions are generous, ensuring you leave fully satisfied.
To top it all off, the service was as warm and inviting as the food, making this a must-visit spot whether you’re a Thai food connoisseur or just in the mood for a fantastic meal. Can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu!
This is one of those rare occasions that I felt compelled to write a review. The following was inspired by Thai Chaiyo's Crab Fried Rice. For context, as an Asian person, you best believe I've had many fried rices in my lifetime. As such, you must also know, that this was by far the worst fried rice I have ever had. Entire dish was totally unsalted and unseasoned. It consisted of egg, rice, onion, with some more unseasoned egg, green onion, and a bit of crab on top. But not one single dash of salt, pepper, or spice. I can not believe one of the easiest dishes to make was so soulless and bland. I even found myself thinking wistfully of the flowery, fluffy flavors of plain, steamed jasmine rice.
Like a survivor with PTSD, I am shell shocked writing this review because the other dish I had here, Tom Yum soup, was absolutely delicious and packed with complex flavor. It was night and day! Overall, before today, I simply did not think it was even possible to mess up fried rice. Unfortunately, a stark lesson was seared into my memory. I will never forget you, Thai Chaiyo. Please do better.
My experience here was so good, I want to come back again!
My favorite entrees that was unique to me was the Chaiyo Chicken specialty that had a combination of a crispy orange chicken that had the texture of honey walnut shrimp infused with a sesame or peanut and lemon sauce you can taste in one bite!
Roasted duck in red curry was also my second fave, because it was the first time I’ve had it and the meat was so juicy succulent and good that paired so well with the curry and rice.
Spicy Pad Kee Mao with Seafood was delicious, because it was like pad seew with a kick to it that I love.
Super lump crab fried rice was also amazing and tastes even better with spritz of lemon that brings out the crab flavor.
Mango with sweet sticky rice (seasonal) was also really delicious since the coconut rice was soft, warm, sticky and mixed really well with the mangoes.
Tom Yum soup with shrimp was also a classic that tasted yummy.
Thai Tea Sunrise is Thai tea mixed with orange juice that was a perfect blend that you can really taste.
Thai Tea Sunset is Thai tea mixed with lemon juice that was also a flawless blend that you can taste.
Overall, this was one of the best experience ever and I would come back next time we’re in town again and would highly recommend you all to stop by and check them out!
Lots of parking in the shared plaza too!
We are longtime patrons of Thai Chaiyo. Great, tasty food and friendly people. The owners have a deep commitment to the community of Tustin and have made significant steps to improve their business in the face of economic challenges.

Very poor food I don’t like 😞😞
Thai Iced Tea was very tasty and refreshing.

Lunch specials was sufficient. Flavorful. Came with two fried egg rolls and a small bowl of salad. Good for quick lunch.
Yummy. They can be very busy for lunch dine in. Dinner not as busy. We usually do take out. They have a lot of take out business. They also have a lot of coupons floating around. Not sure where my mom gets them but she always seems to have some.
Had the basil eggplant tonight. Very yummy.
Have been looking for a good everyday Thai place in Tustin and couldn't find one until I found chayiyo. Amazing food, fast service and reasonable prices. Thanks
The service is very friendly and the food was excellent. We had the Pad Thai, Tom Gai soup, won ton soup and the cashew chicken.
Close to home but always delivers cold food and never gets the order correct! Looking for a new Thai restaurant that delivers in all aspects!

This hole-in-the-wall is a hidden gem, and the perfect spot for scoring an amazing lunch deal!
Can’t go without a Thai tea, and they have something called the Thai sunset which is actually a mix of Thai tea and lemonade and comes out so pretty.
The owner suggested the Marinated chicken satay to start which is so tender and packs a punch when paired with the peanut sauce.
And the sheer artistry of their Chaiyo chicken…immaculate!
If you were to get one dish and one dish only, make it the Bell pepper bamboo basil chicken swimming in a spiced coconut milk curry. It’s such a heartwarming dish and loaded with flavor.
Their Pad Thai is one of the best I’ve had in a long time, and paired with the crispy pork belly which I haven’t seen anywhere else do this!
The hospitality, service, and food at this spot is a 10/10 experience for me!
Thanks for reading! ^-^
Love this place! Just discovered 10 days ago and have already been 3 times! The food is fantastic (fave is Pineapple Red Curry), the service is outstanding! It's a small place, maybe 8 tables. It feels like you are with family.
Have been here a few times, but today was. very disappointed. Foods was substandard for all for dishes we ordered. I felt disrespected to be served with leftovers.
Pad Kee Mow is brilliant. We always get it with tofu and ask for it to be made spicy. Quantity is quite good, often sufficient for two of us. Their Thai ice team is pretty good too.
I ordered here for the first time, in the details I specified "Shellfish allergy"
Food came with shrimps. This is unacceptable.
Won't ordered again
My husband and I come here almost every Monday and always enjoy our meals. Their lunch specials are great! It’s the best yellow curry I’ve ever had! Service is wonderful! Our lovely waitress always remembers the little things, like how I always ask for a knife 😁 Food is amazing and we love coming here every chance we get!
Love the ambiance of this place, it’s cozy and the food is amazing!
Crab cream cheese wontons were mediocre, the sauce they came with had a bit of a strange taste to it compared to the usual sweet and sour dips I've gotten at other Asian restaurants. There didn't seem to be a lot of crab in it either.
Chicken Pad Thai was horribly bland, it didn't taste like it was seasoned. A huge let down.
My two item order, with tax and tip, cost about $30, which is overpriced for what I got. Not worth it.
The food is fairly good. The atmosphere is a bit like a hustling bustling market--very small, compact space to feel comfortable dining in. A bit unclean. Food places should be always clean but it's a disappointment to see restaurants, like this, do not take cleanliness and sanitation seriously enough to ensure the public's confidence to consume their food. I hope they improve it.
The food was delicious. I ordered the Pad Thai an shrimp fried rice. The restaurant is very busy and you can tell why. The people there are friendly and attentive to customers and the food is yummy. It was my first time there and I will definitely visit again.
Food quality is among the best in this Area among Thai food . I would try Curry and soups here .
Really excellent Drunken Noodle
I love this place so much!! Never got dissapointed with anything from the menu 🤤 highly recommend
Delicious food!!!! Very kind owner. Just love this place!!!! Highly recommend!!!
i come here all the time all time! Best Pad Thai in all of Orange County never fails. To go or dine in the environment and people are very friendly.
Best Thai food I have ever had! And I have eaten at many Thai places. Service amazing! It's so good I want to gatekeep it.
Great atmosphere and the food is excellent! Thai tea is on point.
Food is good, but if you order online, prepare for a half an hour after they tell you it's going to be ready.
This isn't one of those strip-mall fast Asian food places. This is a very nice small, family-run restaurant that I like very much. The food is delicious and very consistent from visit to visit. Extremely good value for the modest price. Service is friendly, genuine, and good. As others have said, the atmosphere is a bit "homey," making this a casual everyday sort of place, not a "special occasion." I've both dined in and done take-out, and both have been great. Special mention to their take-out app, which is among the best I've seen.
Definitely worth a try, and you'll probably end up being a regular.
They have the best red pineapple curry and the chicken with cashew nuts. Drove all the way from anaheim after craving for their food. Worth the price, too! Staff are friendly! Dont forget the sticky rice with mango for the dessert.
Best Thai food in the area. Must try the Basil fried rice.
Jenny and Nikki are the best servers I’ve had in Orange County
Very Good Thai Restaurant! Definitely recommend this place! Especially Tom Kha Coconut soup!
Great service and food
Our meal was SO DELICIOUS. Every person that we encountered was so pleasant and nice. The reviews on this place were so pleasant that's the reason my friend and I decided to try this place. They sang happy birthday to her - it was adorable. 10/10 would recommend. Prices were extremely reasonable.
Called in an order of Pad See Ew - and was immediately impressed with the customer service skills on the phone. Normally there is a language barrier but the tonality of their voice and genuine responses really show they care here.
When you walk in you’ll see it’s a smaller dining Restauraunt, but feels cozy and very mom and pop-ish. No, it isn’t stunning or contemporary inside but the customer service which I’m assuming is the owners left a great impression alongside with their food - which tasted great.
Would love to dine in some day soon and check it out!
My wife and I just came home after ordering dinner of pad se yue, basil chili, pork mixed vegetables and panag curry some of the best Thai food we've ever eaten. Jenny and the staff were very friendly. Nice to have beer and wine with our meal. Excellent service and we'll be back soon.
Was good the last time we were there perhaps three months ago. Tonight it was even better. Superb.
Absolutely delicious!! Staff was so sweet
Great flavors and freshly cooked to order. Love eating at places where the food comes out piping hot. As expected, there will be a wait when they have a lot of to-go orders coming in. The yum woo sen is flavorful with just the right amount of acidity. The pad Thai noodles have a good chew and ample sauce. The chicken was a bit on the drier side so I may opt for the shrimp next time.
I ordered this place because Bangkok Kitchen was closed…i took one look at the grey colored pad Thai I ordered and knew I had made a mistake. I saw someone’s review on here describe the Pad Thai as “sour bland noodles” and I couldn’t have put it better myself. 0 Stars because I can’t select that.
The service was so slow. And the food was terrible.. the pad thai tasted like bland sour noodles.
Update: after getting home, started breaking out in hives, and I got food poisoning.
Food was exquisite! We tried 5-6 different dishes and all of them were amazing, fresh, full of flavor.
Kids loved everything too, that's a big plus.
The place is pretty small, just a few smaller tables, so it gets crowded easily.
Estimate 40 minutes, took an hour and a half. While waiting, I was told "15 more minutes" three times as I arrived at the estimated time. When I received the food, they were unapologetic.
Portions were also small for the price, container not even full.
Taste was alright, not the best Thai food, but the good places were too busy.
very good food!!
If you are looking to support a small business, here is your chance. This is the spot for some excellent Thai food. They have good lunch specials for under $10, and the staff is always nice and welcoming. Highly recommend.
Today is my first time here, and l thinking this my last time, that bisil is not fresh.noodles overcook....
THE FOODS WAS TOO SALTY.
THE FOODS PORTION WAS TO SMALL. FOR THE PRICE THAT I PAY FOR.
The coconut milk soup was unbelievably great. The food was very good, the service was excellent.
We live in AZ, but this is our favorite Thai restaurant ever! We love their pineapple red curry. It’s the best we have ever had. The staff is always so nice and friendly, I love coming here. We came here 3 times on our last visit. We love Thai Chaiyo and their staff! Thank you for being amazing! :)
Their Spicy Seafood Fried Rice is Super Delicious 😋 Excellent , Fast Service.
Really delicious food here! Attentive servers, and food arrived quickly. I ordered the mushroom and ginger plate, glass noodles, brown rice, and spring rolls-all tasty and great presentation. The only nitpick would be the spring roll peanut sauce, as it was quite bland. Dine-in limited because it's a small restaurant.
My family went here for my brother's wedding rehearsal dinner. There was about 25 of us so we basically had the whole inside of the restaurant to ourselves. The staff was fabulous! They were so accommodating and constantly kept checking in on us. All the food was delicious and reasonably priced. They suggested we send them a list of all our individual orders ahead of time so they were able to accurately prepare everything. The waitresses were so sweet and gave a bottle of wine to the bride and groom as a gift. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!
Best Thai restaurant in SoCal till date. Service was very fast.
My pick up order was super quick on a Friday night! I saw a lot of reviews saying a long wait... that was NOT my experience at all and im glad i gave it a try. I called in while on the way & in 10 mins after i got there it was ready to go. Food was great and larger portions than other thai places, especially the peanut sauce! They give you plenty for your chicken satay.... yumm 😋
Always a great meal!
Good food and prices!
I went on a Thursday night and I had a great time. Casual restaurant where I really enjoyed the four items I got: vegetable rolls, chicken pad Thai, tofu pad see ew, and mango sticky rice. They were all very good, they came out timely, and it was a very filling meal. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend it and I look forward to coming back.
Love it from the 1st time visiting. Maybe the best green curry I've ever had. The flavor was stunning. Very friendly staffs. The place is small but felt cozy. Price is a bit high but I don't complain much when comparing with others less expensive Thai restaurants. You got what you paid for.
Tofu amber lunch special is so good. Authentic Thai food.
Our favorite Thai place 🤤
It's our favorite local place for dinner or lunch. It's great every time! My wife and I have tried most things on the menu and nothing disappoints, but the Pad Kee Mao is our favorite.
Made me wait more than 45 min to inform me that my order had not started yet. ruined my day. I don't recommend it at all.
Waited over 30 minutes for my order. Lady seem to be lost by managing the cashier and she does everything herself
Dine in: Free Convenient parking/ share with other shops. Clean Restroom and restaurant dining area. Fried rice with shrimp were really greasy but the shrimps were fresh. Fresh Spring-roll come with mock tofu,so it is quite different than others. Thai Ice Tea were great! Lunch specials is too sweet for curry and meat was still stuck together. Papaya salad was super sweet. Prices are toohigh compare to others. Khao Soi Kai has no flavor just really plain. They give you a large portion though.
I had some great pad thai noodles and chicken fried rice. So good I ate too much. Highly recommend.
Delicious Thai food and friendly service!
We’ve been eating here since before it was even called Thai Chaiyo. It is our favorite Thai restaurant in the area. Personal favorites are the red curry, green curry, Tom kha, num tok, Larb, mango sticky rice and Thai tea. They offer delivery, pickup and dine in. All staff is masked. They keep a set of clean pens and a dirty pens cup. They even have a QR code outside so you can view the menu before entering to order. You can also order online. There are a couple of tables for outdoor dining as well. There is a fabulous $8.50 lunch special menu.
I dont recommend this restaurant, the sweet and sour chicken tasted horrible. Total waste.
Great pineapple rice
Absolutely the best yellow chicken curry I've ever had & the best peanut sauce. Employees are so sweet. A must try
Best Thai I've had in OC. So hard to find decent Thai in OC. After trying a bunch of not so good spots this is now my go-to spot.
Devilicious 🍝🍝😄
Service and food were great! Nice staff and good Thai food ☺️
Nhu is the best!!! #promo #GetThatRaise
모든 음식이맛있고
굉장히 친절함
Good local Thai food maid by Thai family
Deep menu and good selection for quick Thai food, service was friendly and portion was good.
The staff here is friendly and attentive they made sure I was good and didn’t need anything.
I’ve never had curry before, this was my first and it was good for not having something to compare it with.
However they have so many options on their menu that look amazing! Great vibe and easy to find.
My family has been coming here for years. Their business is consistent. I’ve always had friendly service from the entire staff, and their food is great. If there was ever an issue with an order, they were proactive in resolving it and held a high standard for service. Try the lunch special!
I ordered their chow mein noodles with tofu, vegetables with jasmine rice, and a thai tea for pick up and the food was wonderful! Although I was only in and out to pick up my food, the service was very nice. The food was also hot even by the time I got home. It tasted great! Thank you so much! :)
This place is really bad. I ordered for takeout and the amount of food they gave me was just pathetic. I’ve paid the same price and gotten the exact same dish at other thai restaurants but received twice as much food as this place.
On top of that, i specifically asked TWICE for the protein to be cooked medium, not well done. And they still overcooked it, past well done. Really insanely annoying. And finally, this is not usually a complaint that i have but there was too much meat in the dish. There is a balance and a ratio that is good between meat and vegetables, they gave me like 90% meat which is way too much, especially when the meat is overcooked and doesn’t taste good.
Overall this was a horrible experience, a waste of money and i will never eat here again.
Very flavorful and not greasy food along with great service! The portions and pricing were perfect. Will definitely be going back
وری پد تای و اون سوپه و اون نمی دونم چی چی رد چیلی و اینا، اوفینا!
Love the chicken basil!
Love this place! The food is always terrific, the service is quick and friendly.
Had the pineapple fried rice and sticky mango rice! It was so delicious!
Great Thai food!
Amazing food!! I absolutely love this place. Everything I've ordered is delicious and fresh and the employee's are so nice 👌
Small place but Very friendly service, very tasty food. Definitely recommend
Don't order through the phone. Order through the app or something. The food timing and estimation is so bad. At least the apps warn you on how long it will take. I ordered 30 mins before arriving, and they told me 30 mins it will be ready. So I thought I got perfect timing. I get there, and waited an extra 25mins. I couldn't believe it. They say its not normally that busy. But still, they have done this a few times with us already. As much as I don't want to say it, I think they lost a loyal customer. Sorry. Your food is still super delicious.
Good food
Love this Thai spot! Amazing food! Lived in Thailand for a year and this spot really nails it in authenticity!
The best @ most delicious dearest excellent thAi food ever cheers OYEAH like a mirror nautomatic
Another go to place for us. Pad thai in all its versions and many types of curry. Food and service are great even in this covid 19 world.
I love the food! And the lady (assuming she's the owner!) She's very nice and friendly:)
The peanut sauce.... love....love...love!
Delicious food, fast, friendly service.
I LOVE their Tom Kai like no other I have ever had!
Good thai food, big portions.
The food was quite good, but their COVID-19 procedures were very bad. All of the cooks were not wearing masks or gloves at all, family members would go into the kitchen and food prep area without masks or washing hands, and the cashier and order assembly staff had their masks on inconsistently.
I feel for these businesses who are going to have a tough time surviving this pandemic, but I have to recommend trying another restaurant for now.
Wonderful Thai spot! Always consistent and delicious. Chicken Pad Thai is my recommendation.
We love their food. It is flavorful, fresh. The owners truly enjoy providing sharing their culture and food with their customers.
Good food. Can do better in terms of ambience.
Great cozy and comfort spot. Food great! Service is great as well.
Delish..hadn't had Thai cuisine in a while and quickly remembered that it's one of my favs..Thai Chaiyo was spot on with the fresh flavors and right amount of heat. Yummy green curry and the Larb salad with the lime and cilantro was amazingly light, refreshing and enjoyable.
Love their menu
Good customer service, service was quick and food was great tasting.
Good customer service
I want to choose the option for "order it later" on it's website, but the earliest time that is available to pick the food up on the web is 12:00PM, whereas they actually open at 11:00AM. Therefore, I had to call a night ahead to place my order but their phone reception kept breaking, and I had to repeat so many time by shouting my orders to this poor lady who works in the restaurant. I wish they update their website.
Amazing restaurant! Amazing service! So friendly and the food is delicious. I highly recommend!
Service was bad
Love this place. Been coming here for almost a year now. Great food and service.
