Compact, casual cafe serving standard Thai menu items amid traditional decor.
Thai Satay offers an average dining experience with decent food but disappointing service.
Tom Yum Soup: The Tom Yum Soup was overly coconut-y, which threw off the balance of flavors. The spice didn’t blend well with the heavy coconut base, though the overall taste was still decent. It’s not what I’d expect from a well-balanced Tom Yum.
Pad Thai: The Pad Thai was just okay – nothing memorable or outstanding. It’s your typical Pad Thai that doesn’t stand out in any way.
Service: Unfortunately, the service was a bit rude, which took away from the overall experience. It’s something they could improve to make the visit more enjoyable.
Ambience: On the positive side, the ambience was good – comfortable and inviting, making it a pleasant place to sit and dine.
While the ambience is nice, the food and service didn’t leave a strong impression. Thai Satay is okay for a quick meal, but it’s not a place I’d go out of my way to revisit.
amazing hospitality and quick service. clean restaurant and clean bathroom. prices were appropriate and not so expensive as other places in the area for a sit down restaurant. parking was also not horrible as there are a lot of metered curb parking around. i went to dine in and they also offer a free salad appetizer, which was amazing! the menu offered a variety of thai dishes, and their lunch special was a great deal. i highly recommend ordering from here if you’re in the area and want high quality food for an affordable price.
The best Thai restaurant in Bay Area so far! Foods were delicious. Reasonable prices in terms of big portions. Nice decorations. Spacious and clean. Great service. Noy is super friendly and talkative, he made our dinner more fun!
We always try to avoid having a dinner in South San Francisco because parking is tough in the neighborhood. But we will definitely come back because of this restaurant.
Lovely place, very clean and presentable. Waiters were both very friendly and quick to attend. Food came quickly and was well presented. Loved the peanut sauce (husband and I). We ordered the prawn satay and Raman with side rice. So so good.. highly recommend. They also had our favorite wine 🍷 I love the side dishes of jalapeños, hot sauces and spicy things 😍
Ordered some wings and the bbq salad.
The salad was grilled chicken with no bbq and it followed with a sweet salad dressing and bean sauce. The chicken didn’t have much bbq taste.
The wings were about average but they weren’t bww or wing stop quality. The sauce was flavorful.
I’d come to try something different but not the same order.
Has good presentation, that’s about it.
For $17 I would expect the fried rice to have some color to it. This was probably the blandest fried rice I've ever received. It was very disappointing and tasted as if they just mixed the ingredients in regular white rice without adding soy sauce or anything that would give it flavor. Their prices do not match the quality of food. Will not be returning for this particular dish
This is a a really cozy spot with a welcoming ambience! I’ve been here several times and their food is not only amazing but also super aesthetically appealing. Their lunch combo portions would easily suffice 2 meals a day! I loved both their Thai Iced Tea and Thai Iced Coffee but they are definitely more on the sweeter side.
I love this place, love their food but they didn’t give me my side veggies and a piece of fruit that comes with an order. Had 3 Thai egg roll orders and 2 shrimp roll orders, pick up orders!!! No more tips😀
Came here solo, and I was recovering from a cold, so I ordered the noodle soup with chicken. I loaded it up with some of the peppers they brought to the table, and it was exactly what I was hoping for.
Friendly and helpful
I like the variety of options. My favorite is the pad thai, which I get all the time. The staff is friendly. The food is hot, and the portions are decent.

Very good, makes me miss Thailand
Worst restaurant ever. Food was pathetic. Owner harassing to give tip on top of already paying the tip. Glorified begging. Will never come back.
Beautiful ambience. Pad-kee-mao and Tom kha soup was quite flavorful.
We ordered Thai basil fried rice & Penang curry with tofu & veggies. The food was delicious and they made it as per our spice level.
Pretty big and spacious inside, food is ok not special but not bad and easy to find parking at night
The tasty food selection is very good. The dressing for their fresh and refrigerated salad is unique and super tasty. The service by Lek, was outstanding. Their The ambience is also nice. Overall I would rate a 4 and a half star.
Parking was available in a City lot a few doors down.

No AC!!
Mango rice was top notch
Loved the food.
Very authentic experience. The food was delicious and you could adjust the spice level. The server suggested a spice level and it was perfect for us. He was very friendly. The decor was absolutely beautiful and traditional.
Muy bueno

Super authentic feel to the restaurant, solid service and the food was Tasty
My favorite Thai place in SSF. I love the Satay combo appetizer, even though it's intended for sharing, I can eat it all by myself, the satay sauce is incredible! I usually order the fried shrimp or fried squid with sweet sour dipping sauce, both great choices. Not a big fan of currys but there are plenty of dish options for any palate!!! Love it!
The Food was delicious😋
Great service & Friendly staff
Food was excellent, would recommend.
I agreed with a lot of other reviewers that think this restaurant's thai food is the most shockingly bland thai food we've ever had. We've never had bland thai food before. I wonder if those good reviews are fake or those people like bland unauthentic thai food or they have 2 chefs (1 good & 1 bad) 🤔?
Based on our dine-in experience at the restaurant, they do not have authentic thai food & are very expensive with small portions. Everything we ordered was bland & barely had any spices or flavor. Papaya salad was somewhat spicy but didn't have much flavor. Chicken yellow curry & shrimp tom yum soup were very watered down & bland. Yellow curry portion was small.
Pad se-iew beef was also bland & had regular broccoli in it instead of chinese brocolli like other thai restaurants. Chicken satay skewers were small, somewhat dry & bland also. Thai fried rice was also bland. Thai ice tea was not bad but too sweet. Our guy waiter wasn't very welcoming or friendly to us but seemed to be pretty friendly with the regular customers next to our table. We were still hungry after because we didn't eat that much of the food & their portions were too small.
Omg one of the best thai fried rice we have ever had! It was really flavourful and felt fresh. It also had good amount of egg and chicken. Enjoyed it. The server was also very lovely and vibes was great as well. Definitely visit this place if you are in this area and craving for thai food. 😊
I usually order for delivery. But recently I dined in with friends. It was great food and service. The lady that helped clean up and brought us the bill was sooo sweet and nice. But overall the food here is soooo good.
We really enjoyed this place! We loved the prawns in our curry which was fresh and the pad see ew noodles were flavorful. I also loved that they included paper plates in the takeout bag and they wrapped the curry in saran wrap so it didn’t leak in our bag. It’s the little touches that make big impressions. We will definitely be back and think this could be our Thai food takeout spot going forward. Only downside is the egg rolls could have been crunchier and the noodles a little firmer but the flavors were there and we really enjoyed our food!
Wonderful and tasty food. Papaya salad was so good.
I’ve never had Thai food that has no flavor - didn’t know that was possible but Thai Satay somehow was able make that happen. Cardboard has more flavor than their Yellow Curry. Their pad Thai tasted like boiled noodles with no spices. I will never order takeout from this place again.
Really yum!
Overall, the food lacked flavor. Edible but I would feel BAD recommending this establishment to anyone. I got the pad thai, spring rolls and papaya salad.
I ordered to go so I didn’t get the “indoor” dining experience but the restaurant itself looks lovely.
The food was tasty but one thing I noticed is that they're just mildly warm or no heat. My BBQ chicken was dry, not sure if they just reheat the food or what... I'm not sure why but the food lacked the "wow" factor on this one.
Quick and nice place for a business lunch.

We always try to avoid having a dinner in South San Francisco because parking is tough in the neighborhood. But we will definitely come back because of this restaurant.
Great food and atmosphere. I ordered the red curry and it was fantastic. My partner ordered the spicy catfish and that was also delicious! We also shared the mango sticky rice and would definitely recommend that for dessert. Just want to note that only specific dishes come with rice, and that those items are noted in the menu.
great place
My sister comes here all the time and she invited me the food was great I am going to bring some of my friends there soon
Bardzo fajne miejsce, aby dobrze zjeść bez zbytniego przepłacania. Bardzo miła obsługa!
Food was moderate. Egg rolls were hot and tasty! The mango sticky rice for dessert was off the chart delicious. Honestly, I was looking for more flavor from our pad Thai and pad see eew.
Excellent Thai curry
I always order the spicy calamari salad with a Thai Iced Tea Vegetable Spring Roll & Coconut milk soup
Classy room with excellent food We had the BBQ chicken and pineapple fried rice. Service is friendly and competent but a little slow, so don't be in a hurry.
I am really surprised that this restaurant receives such good reviews. Either that, or I’m surprised my delivery food was very bad. Each one of my food item did not meet expectation. Mango sticky rice was unlike the pictures at all, mango is nearly unripe and very pale in flesh. I understand if mangoes are out of season. However the regular menu is not tasting any better. Pad Kee Mao is lacking flavors and not salty enough. Thai iced tea is way too sweet. Sorry to say but for this is the worst Thai food I have ever had. Cannot recommend.
Thai Tea was AMAZING, Service was excellent. The waitress was so friendly and helpful. I loved the asthetic of the restaurant, really nice decorations. Beautiful.
Went to eat at this place and highly recommend it. Big portions and fresh ingredients. Although it was raining, there were a lot of tables with people having dinner. Street parking available. Would eat at this restaurant again. Family owned and run.
If you enjoy Thai cuisine, this is an absolute must go to place. A variety of dishes offered on the menu. Food was fresh, delicious, affordable, worth every penny.
Nice Thai restaurant in South San Francisco area. If you’re looking for drinks after work, they do have a selection of fun cocktails, including pina coladas and mai Thais.
Green Thai was a 8.5 out of 10 and maybe a bit expensive for portion but overall a good experience.
Calamari was the best I have ever had!!!
They don't like everybody. Be the right person and I'm sure you will get honest answers. I like my fried rice cooked with certain ingredients. Asked before ordering and it was not anything that she promised. Thanks but no thanks
ต้องไปโดนสักครั้งครับ

Overall experience was bad. Not at all satisfied with the service and the atmosphere.
overall experience was very bad, the glasses were smelling really bad ,and we have ordered hot wings instead they have given sweet & sour wings , please do not visit this place . the server was very rude . i would suggest not to go with this restaurant.
Very bad service , they demand tips from us
Das Essen war super lecker
Chicken meat : meat tasted tough like leftover food ... so were chicken wings. The chef must be a newbie. Yuck.
Lovely place, very clean and presentable. Waiters were both very friendly and quick to attend. Food came quickly and was well presented. Loved the peanut sauce (husband and I). The people who work here are lovely, and the food is pretty good :)
Pretty much the restaurant I always order from because they make great Thai food and are close by and deliver to me so I don't have to Trek to SF to get something decent. Always fairly priced too
Had a great meal here. Amazing service and fresh Thai curry. Definitely recommend.
Perfect food, service outstanding. Very clean. A lil pricey but it was worth it. My family and I enjoyed the food. We are coming back.
我的家人在清迈,所以在三番想念泰国菜了找到家附近这个店,和泰国的pad thai味道差很多,两个菜两瓶辛哈,60多刀
Delicious Thai cuisine!
Great papaya salad, good shrimp and vegetables combination, they also have a great sticky rice with coconut and mango.
Best thai restaurant in the area . The food is very tasty and the service as fast also the staff is very helpful and accomoding to your needs. One of their best item on the menu is the satay sampler , any of their curries or any of their noodles dishes but make sure to stay for dessert. Love this place, its definitely a must try restaurant
LOVE the food here! Our go-to Thai restaurant!
Schnelle Bedingung, vernünftige Preise, hat geschmeckt!
Standard-Asiate
Good portions, good service, good prices. Many main courses around $15. Yellow chicken curry and pad thai were very good. The special spicy fried catfish was spicy hot, but a bit less crispy than hoped for.
Lots of space, perfect for lunch or dinner. They can cater to large groups as well. Food was delicious. Vegetarian options can also be modified to Vegan.
The service was great and food was wonderful.
Decor is quite dated. Food was good, but not mind blowing. Service got the job done.
This is definitely the best Thai restaurant in the Bay area
Customers who came in after us were served with their water. Our foods were brought out and we had to ask for our water again.
I ordered a quick snack.
Vegan Thai ice tea (coconut milk based)
And for my friend chicken satay (comes with little salad and peanut sauce).
Thai iced tea was great
And chicken satay did not disappoint 😋
We needed a place to eat dinner after our flight out of San Francisco got cancelled. They did extra work to process our food vouchers from the airline. On top of that, the food service was prompt and the meals themselves were filling and affordably priced. If I ever find myself in a similar situation in the future I would definitely come back again.
All around amazing
Best Thai food in South SF. Their fresh rolls & chicken satay are my go to. I was looking at the menu 4 years ago and someone walked by and told me it was the best Thai food they ever had, so I tried it & they were absolutely right. I come here at least once on every trip to SF since. Service is great, and the food is amazing.
Always fresh always delicious, fantastic menu something for everyone. Love the green Curry, but anything we order is tasty. Staff is wonderful attentive and welcoming. Make this one your go to for Thai food
Delicious garlic pepper shrimp and very filling portions for a single person
Really good food
We visit on a weekly basis and we love almost all their dishes. My favourites are the noodles and curries.
Friendly staff and good food.
Basic food
Yummy, as always.
A very nice Thai restaurant in downtown South San Francisco . Good food, excellent service and pretty little downtown to explore.
The food was delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant and the waitress was attentive, professional and nice. I would visit this place again.
Been to this restaurant twice and the food was exactly the same great taste. Love the plentiful vegetarian options available and the wide variety of authentic Thai food.
One of the best thai restaurant in the bay are. Good services, good food.
Good food, prices, and service
food was very good, and delicious, very friendly customer service, would visit here again ,we enjoyed the food
Had pad Thai, fried rice and fresh vegetables spring rolls. Overall it was good. I liked the spring roll and fried rice very much.
Friendly service and automatic food
Everything about this place is authentic. Even down to making me feel guilty about being Thai and not speaking the language. Great full flavors. There is a distinct savory sweetness that reminds me of my moms cooking and this place has it. Wish I lived here and would make this place a staple in my rotation.
First time visiting this restaurant, we stumbled upon it visiting the San Francisco south area by the airport. I have to tell you this was amazing food and flavors. I've had Thai food in Seattle and Asia, vthis was really good. We will definitely be back this week.
Got the prawns and asparagus, mango sticky rice and Mai tai were also delicious.
Love everything in our order. We reached here after getting down from an early flight and my 2 year old was very grumpy. I insisted that the baby gets to eat first and the server did exactly that, fried rice in less than 5 minutes. Our order was vegan but boy was it flavorful.
Great little spot to eat
Best Thai food anywhere! This has become a regular spot anytime I'm in the area.
The crab fried rice was awesome 👌
Good food, friendly staff!
Pad Thai shrimp was fantastic
