This place has changed hands … we were the only ones in the restaurant, white walls and bright lights, no table cloth… no atmosphere at all! Appetizer was ok… main course was very poorly prepared. This is not like it was a few years ago. I would not recommend…Panda Express is much better..and that is not saying much !!

Diner Review №5

I'm not sure why this place is not filled. There's nothing like in the area. If you're looking to break up the normal American cuisine. Definitely worth a try. Stuff dumplings by far the best I've eaten.

Diner Review №6

Ordered Tom Yum soup which arrived ti my table hot but not like a soup should be. Menu indicated it to be spicy but It was bland and flavorless But made it tolerable with the lime wedges fish and chili sauce I requested
The green papaya salad was good except the tomatoes were also green I picked them out and it was okay Was missing something

amazing service, fast wait time, and great food (vegetarian options available) highly recommend if you're in the area to come here!

Diner Review №9

Never Again! Fried egg rice smells spoiled. Black hair on the outside of my carry out container! 🚩

Diner Review №10

This place use to be so much better. My husband had pad see ew, which was pretty bland and when packing it to go we found a black hair under the food. My beef noodle soup was terrifying looking. Not sure if it was beef. Tasted horrible. Coconut soup was way too sweet. Our cups were filthy and ice tasted like an old freezer. Never again.

Diner Review №11

The food was fantastic and has great portion sizes.

If this is your first experience with Thai food, it may be your last. If youve had lots of Thai food before, you may leave your plates full of the really old smelly shellfish and burnt curry sauce and especially the hard and rubbery scallops no bigger than a pea line we did. Yes, sorry to say, the food was that bad.

Food was good, and good portion size. Nice and quiet atmosphere. Love the Thai tea.

Diner Review №18

Fried rice had rotten eggs in it.
Not good food at all. Do not waste your money
I will never eat anything from here again. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

Diner Review №19

I ordered from here through Uber Eats. The food was very good and it was freshly prepared. I ordered shrimp fried rice and fried chicken wings. The rice had bell peppers and onions in it that had been sautéed. The flavor in the rice was awesome!!! I usually eat just a little of rice because a lot of times it’s not fresh rice when you order it from some restaurants, that was not the case here. The chicken wings were also very good and flavorful. There price range is just right.

Diner Review №20

Masaman curry was bland. No flavor. Curry sauce was watery. Spring rolls tasted like something you buy at the grocery store. Don't think it's intentional, but it just was not good. Potatoes had skin on them. I guess I'm spoiled by Thai in a Box in Conyers!

Diner Review №21

The food was awesome, service was great, the floors were very dirty and needed to be swept and mopped.

Diner Review №22

I almost always get the Pad Prik when I get thai. I figured that I would give this place a try amidst all the bad reviews since its right down the street from my house. Total waste of money. I have no idea what this was but I am extremely disappointed. I love thai food for its bright, beautiful presentation and bold flavors, this was not that. Never again

Diner Review №23

The restaurant was empty so no real service opportunities and my girlfriend was sick afterwards from the food

Diner Review №24

We got the pad Thai and the pineapple rice. Will never come back ever again for certain. The chicken and the pork looked and tasted like the same exact meat, don’t think it was even chicken. Found hair in my pad Thai and it genuinely tasted like dishwater, and now have food poisoning from eating at this establishment. Nice people, poor food.

Diner Review №25

Not good customer service couldn't tell how long an order that was placed on line would be ready.

Delicious reasonably priced Thai food with plenty for take home. Nice dinner get away with my friend on the way home to Rutledge, GA

Diner Review №29

I ordered Thai fried rice with shrimp and shrimp egg rolls. There is no flavor at all. Even the chili sauce seems watered down, had no spice. Will not return.

Diner Review №30

We came into the restaurant at 0245, the gentlemen at the counter was on the phone literally until 0256. We finished ordering at 0302. which at that time was notified lunch ended at 0300. I ordered the Massaman Curry with fried rice. The rice was over cooked and mushy and the Massaman Curry was taste less and chicken was rubber. Never again!!

Diner Review №33

I had a good experience here for my first time and most importantly the food was good. I will return for more!!!!

Diner Review №34

COCONUT!!! SOUP!!!!!! good 👍

?

Diner Review №35

We have enjoyed eating at this establishment in the past but that is no longer the case. Since new management has taken over, the overall experience has went downhill. We stopped by yesterday and had the tomato bisque soup. It had absolutely no flavor and was barely warm. The "peanut sauce" for the satay was the consistency of clay and so oily that we could not stomach it.

When the server came to the table and inquired about the meal, we told him our issues with the food and he simply walked away and brought us the check and continued to play on his phone. He did not even ask if we wanted an entree.

Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Diner Review №36

This place is horrible!!! The service was horrible!!!! I ordered the coconut soup. It tasted sour. The cashier would not give my money back!!! He was very rude and unprofessional!!!!!

I called to ask if they sold Pho. The lady that answered the phone obviously didn't know what I was talking about and instead of asking what I meant she immediately got a nasty attitude and hung up on me. I called back to ask for a manager. She put me on hold and hung up again. This would have been my first time eating here because it's talk about at my company, but after that I will pass.

Very nice restaurant and the food is tasty. Nice place for a lunch date. I had a late lunch with my son after having his first short haircut in about 10 years. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was very informative and friendly. I definitely recommend this restaurant in Covington, GA.

Diner Review №40

Food so delicious! Staff very friendly!

Diner Review №41

I love everything, good ,service , how quick it was to seat and get food , and the spicy combo fried rice was everything anyone needs in life.

Diner Review №42

Food was great! Small little restaurant with great food.

Diner Review №43

I had Pork chow mein it was not what I expected. Seems like it had barbecue sauce stirred into soft noodles with barbecued pork added. A huge disappointment. Hardly any vegetables in it.

Diner Review №44

Food keeps getting better!!

Diner Review №45

I just feel like this place is not as good as it used to be. Between the decline in menu items, quality, and customer service, I feel like there are better options now unfortunately.

Diner Review №46

Food was delicious, service was great!

Diner Review №47

We ordered pad thai and pannang curry. Prompt service, good food. We'll be back.

Diner Review №48

Please. I invite you to zoom in. That’s supposed to be Thai Basil. Note - they use “American” basil, not holy basil. The sauce looks like dirty sink water. They literally boiled whatever meat that is supposed to be in plain water to cook. It’s awful. It’s the worst meal I’ve ever received. Literally - inedible. I threw the whole thing out. Don’t ever go here.

Love this place, chicken satay and peanut sauce was great, and the chicken coconut soup was awesome, so was the green curry, definitely coming back soon, ꮹꮩ (thank you)

Diner Review №57

The food is bland. No flavor whatsoever. This is not authentic nor is it Americanized. This what we would call it thrown in a wok and served. The price does not match flavor or serving. The steamed rice has more flavor than the actual food.

Diner Review №58

First time since the reopen and new management.

Ordered pot stickers, coconut soup, mango chicken and sticky mango rice.

It’s was….okay.
The food wasn’t quite as flavorful as it used to be.

Hard to mess up pot stickers, they were fine.

The coconut soup was the most disappointing, I’m used to a sweet coconut soup, theirs is more savory. Didn’t taste bad, but not sweet like I like.

Mango chicken was very good. The flavors melded well together. Only complaint, it was loaded with a few too many bell peppers

The sticky mango rice. Again, hard to mess this up, and they did a good job. Plenty of fresh mango, rices was sticky and warm and covered in that creamy goodness. Favorite part of the meal.

I biggest complaint, and it was irritating. Christian music. As a follower of Christ, I dislike that genre of music, especially blasted during dinner for over an hour.
If you have to have music, at least make it instrumental.

I’ll give them another go.

Diner Review №59

Addicted to this place since the new management came on board. I go almost once a week now. The steamed dumplings are my favorite but the garlic pepper chicken and teriyaki are fabulous. These folks know what they are doing! Try it when you can. Oh!! And tha tomato basil soup!!!💕

Diner Review №60

Diner Review №61

This is our first time getting take out from here since the new ownership. Nothing was wrong with the food, it just wasn't very good. I always get cashew chicken and it just tasted like chicken broth, not spicy or even salty. And all of the vegetables that were in it were barely cooked. We also got spicy fried rice. It was good, nothing special. Tomato soup was good.

Diner Review №62

First time returning since they re-open.
I was disappointed. The food is not ad testy as it used to be.

Diner Review №63

I've been wanting to stop by here for awhile. I finally did, and I'm glad I did the food and service was excellent I will be back!

Diner Review №64

I order mixed veggies the easiest thing you can order. Specification "No Mushrooms,' I got mixed mixed veggies with extra mushrooms!! Mediocore food.

Comfortable place to have Thai foods for Asians like myself. Will come here again soon.

Diner Review №68

The honey soy glazed salmon was everything ! So delicious . I will be back

Diner Review №69

We did take out! This is 5stars! Great food and wonderful people striving to please. This will be turning into a once a week visit

Diner Review №70

I visited on 6/8/2023
I ordered the spicy vegetable fried rice I asked them to make sure the vegetables are cooked it was 9:05pm when I ordered I sat at a table they brought my food out at 9:15 pm I took like 3 bites the young guy asked how was the food I told him it has a good flavor but the vegetables are raw he said ok it was 3 of them starrng at me at 9:21 pm the young guy came over and said we are closed I responded your sign says 9:30 pm he said we're closed now I packed my food and left
I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN
RAW VEGGIES AND I WAS RUSHED OUT
they take our money then treat us badly
Don't waste your money with this business

Diner Review №71

Really good food. Great service!! Glad it has reopened!!

Diner Review №72

Like others have said, we used to love this place before it was closed. It was one of my favorite places to eat in Covington. After reopening and under new management that is not the case any longer. My wife's spicy basil chicken didn't look or taste like chicken (almost like processed deli meat??)and had almost no flavor at all. She also had 2 small bones in the dish. The veggies were very crunchy and tasted raw and they were floating in watered down sauce. The shrimp chips used to come complimentary with your dinner, they are now $5 and have absolutely no flavor and were inedible. We will not be back!

Diner Review №73

Review update: been there 6 or 7 times total. So far all but twice (first time there and second to last time there), the vegetables in whatever meal I got were undercooked. The second to last time I went the vegetables were cooked well, but today they were back to the usual undercooked state. Flavor is still good, but I wish the vegetables were cooked more. Service is still good though.

Good so far! Want to give 4.5 stars but that's unfortunately not an option. New owners, so expect things to be slightly different than before.
Atmosphere: a little less cozy than before, or at least currently less cozy (probably because of not having carpet and having projectors for tv)
Service: new owners and new workers, but the service is still great!
Food: I had one of my two standard orders from the previous Bangkok (yellow curry tofu, edamame, & Thai iced tea) everything was good, just slightly different than before. Portion sizes seem slightly smaller than before, but still filling! I still managed to have leftovers! I'll update the review when I try my other standard order.
Happy to see it open again!

Diner Review №74

Food was bland. Ordered coconut soup and spicy basil. Coconut soup had no flavor and the spicy basil wasn't even remotely spicy or flavorful. Somehow the basil chicken was literally watered down, the sauce was all water.
No flavor at all.

Diner Review №75

0/10 would recommend. Just ordered here for the first time since they reopened, and the food was... really, really not good.

We asked for the curry to be Thai hot, and there is almost no heat in it at all... It tasted like someone added a dash of spice to some vaguely coconut-flavored water.

The portions are INSANELY SMALL with a price tag of roughly $14 a meal, and the curry itself had almost no veggies or meat, and may as well have been water.

The Tom Kha soup was also extremely small, extremely expensive, and grossly under flavored.

Additionally, I don't know why the FROZEN ice cream for the fried banana rolls and was placed on top of all the steaming hot containers of curry, rice, and soup, but the ice cream was completely melted and actually HOT by the time it arrived.

Buena comida

Diner Review №77

Good restaurant, and good food, nice servers

Diner Review №78

Delicious green curry dish and pleasantly surprised how good the fish and shrimp plate is. Only critique is the fried wontons, so little filling that the wontons are flat and no taste to the filling.

Diner Review №79

Order fried wontons no filling in them. Coconut soup Has no flavor and I ordered some chicken pad Thai very little tiny pieces of chicken this place is a joke. New management you need to close the place up

Diner Review №80

Diner Review №81

I loved this place before they closed and after. I am so glad that they are back because this is one of the very few places I can eat at that will cater to my dietary restrictions. This place is very clean and the customer service is always award winning. I highly recommend that you come here if you have dietary restrictions or if you just love Thai or would like to try it for the first time. I recommend the curry and the coconut soup. And the fried bananas are absolutely spectacular, they’re crispy and sweet and a perfect after meal treat.

Diner Review №82

Walkin for lunch abd the greeter waw very disrespectful. You can tell she was racist. After she spoke so disrespectful I walked out.

Diner Review №83

This was one of my favorite restaurant in Covington Georgia. This is a Thai restaurant that had to close out due to a fire. The restaurant was remodeled and new owners took over.

Was around the Covington area and decided to make a pick up order with the family favorites- spicy fried rice, blackened salmon and the egg rolls.

When looking at the new menu, Bangkok Grill has almost all of the menu items that the menu offered prior to the fire. They offer now Wings.

When I arrived, the restaurant was empty. The decor is minimalist. The restaurant smells fresh.

Took the food items and the spicy fried rice had the same old flavors, as well as the blackened salmon. The egg rolls were a little bland and the dipping sauce is not the same (needs more flavor).

I am still a fan of Bangkok.

Diner Review №84

The Pad Thai was very good and a lot of food! I will be back.

Diner Review №85

No flavor Didn't even get my rice right everything taste nasty! Guy can't even hear on the phone. And they charge a tip auto for Take out. We loved it before but Now it's gross do not an seriously I mean it waste time or money.

Diner Review №86

Shrimp Pad Thai was not good super small portion for $22. The chicken coconut soup which was horrible as well the small cup half full.

Diner Review №87

Very disappointed
Under new management
They don't provide the small soup as a starter anymore you have to order it now no shrimp chips as starters you have to order them
Portion are small but prices are higher
My fried rice was so gummy due to being over cooked I could not finish it
I love Tia food so maybe I'll try them one more time later after they are open a while
Then if the same no morr

Diner Review №88

Really good food. Good service. Good prices

Diner Review №89

I'm so happy they are finally open again the food is so good
Just ate here again and got the yellow curry it was not watered down and tasted amazing the Thai tea was also delicious

Diner Review №90

Loved this place before it burned down but all new people and food was awful. We threw away out 60$ of food. After 3 bites we all got a horrible headache. Was so salty and just not good. Will not go back

Diner Review №91

We used to love this place but since reopening, we were disappointed. Curry was watery and the veggies were extremely undercooked. They are clearly prioritizing their to-go orders because most people seated had to wait 10-15 mins to even be greeted.

Diner Review №92

Our favorite place for Thai food! We are so excited they are open again! Highly recommended 👌

Diner Review №93

If u like your dipping sauces 90% water and u like whatever sauce they put on your food to be 90% water then this is the place for you.

Diner Review №94

This place is totally different than before. The food had little flavor, the portions are small, and the service was poor. The curry was watery and the “fried rice” taste like cardboard. My son’s Pad Kee Mao wasn’t good at all, and was so hot that he couldn’t eat it. When we told the waiter that my son couldn’t eat his food he said he could give 80% off of that dish. Also, we were the last people in the restaurant and were finished eating, but instead of checking on us he sat down to eat his lunch and was watching something on his phone. I had to go tell him we were needing the check. We eat Thai a lot and love spicy food so it’s not like we don’t know Thai food.

Diner Review №95

Best Thai food in the area . A little under staff but good food is worth the wait. Good Luck

Diner Review №96

Diner Review №97

Service was slow. Out three dinners were terrible, tough meat over seasoned, and the server said that the cook wasn't there, but they still took the money and my Sat dinner time away. Please get better food! this used to be a favorite for me.
