I visited this restaurant with my wife, and these are my observations:

The good: Prices and portions are right on target. The taste is authentic, and the sauces are very good!

There is plenty of free parking, and the neighborhood is very peaceful.

Service is very good and the waitress is very attentive and nice. She has that welcome to the restaurant vibe.

The bad: I really didn't find any other than the music. If they play some traditional Thai music, it will, in my opinion, complete the experience. The music, however, is not bad...

The ugly: There is nothing bad or ugly about the experience I had with my wife. We actually want to come back to this place more often and try other wonderful dishes they have.

Overall, I recommend this jewel hidden somewhere between Long Beach and Seal Beach called Thai on Main. You will not regret it.

I love coming here to eat. Great food, awesome service. I normally order their Tom Yum soup. Today I ordered Thai Boat Noodles soup. Its a little spicy, good portion of beef to noodles ratio. The broth is very delicious and savory.

Nice spot, was able to get a table quickly. Spice level was much lower than expected. Would of expected better food with the amount of awards it has. Still overall good, but wouldn't go back. Unsure of what type of alcohol was in the margarita.

Best pork Pad Thai I've ever had! Not hot n spicy at all, but very flavorful and large portion. Yummy Thai tea. Highly recommend. Outdoor and indoor dining options too... I took a star off because the price per item was a few dollars more than the other thai places I go to. It was so good that it was worth the price though.

Service was great. They were very patient with us asking alot of questions about their menu. We loved everything we ordered. I would go back.

The green Thai was not green and not tasty

I usually will get their salmon yellow curry which I have ordered many times before. The yellow curry has potato which I really enjoy about the dish. when I called today to get the same thing I’ve ordered before I was told they couldn’t accommodate my delivery order.
That the salmon curry was only made with the panang curry. Which is weird because I’ve ordered the salmon yellow curry before.
On their website you can even order it with seafood so I’m wondering why today I can not order the dish that I was given many times before. Would not recommend due to the lack of knowledge on your dishes.

Best Thai restaurant in the entire LA area for every reason, and I've been to them all.

The reason for my 1 star is they always say they do take out only when I come here. Never wasting my time here again so I gave someone else my money.

Pad Thai tasted like throw-up. Potatoes, carrots and onions in the yellow curry had an undercooked snap to them every time. I really tried but third time and I’ve learned my lesson. Flavors are just off even in the Thai tea 😩 Make the drive to Coconut Rabbit if you can it’s worth it! If you do go to Thai on Main there’s only one thing I would recommend and it isn’t on the menu… leaving.

This place gave my wife food poisoning yesterday (7/8/24) around lunchtime. Up all night in agony!

Sticky tables, squeaky couches and the rudeness of the waiters is what this place is famous for now. Maybe the new owners are too greedy to have their staff demand 25% tip. Maybe they don’t treat their staff well and so they are rude to the customers. Food is okay but when we are bringing guests from out of state to feel the California experience, this is not the place to go. Please save yourself from a meal at an embarrassing and unfriendly restaurant and go to Avilas or the other Irish pub where you will be treated as family. Never going here again. I should have read the unpaid negative reviews instead of the paid review they have.

Unbelievably long wait with rude staff. Will never come here again.

I've been going here for more than a decade and have always been served excellent by great servers.

Experienced NONE of the service complaints. Came on a Weds afternoon, just in time for happy hour. One server, but it wasn’t overly busy and he handled everyone attentively. We got a couple HH appetizers (spring rolls & edamame) and a draft beer and the Yuzu drop - all tasty. Got the tofu Pad Thai to split - was flavorful and seemed fresh.

Hmmm. Not sure where to begin. (About the food read below).
One of the worst experiences at a restaurant. I’m not one to only review a negative experience.
The staff was incredibly rude from the moment we walk in the door. Had reservations a week in advance and upon entry, we were denied and delayed for 30 minutes.
One of the waitresses came with two of our appetizers and decided to only leave one while serving the other to another table. 1-hour wait for appetizers.
Nobody came to bring utensils, eating dishes, and no topping of our water glasses.
We had a slight spill on the table, I got up and asked a waitress if I could have napkins and I was told from her “I am on break”. I understand you’re on break but to give the cold shoulder and not even point to where I can find napkins is wrong.
The staff was all angry to the point it made us uncomfortable to eat the food.

About the food - four plates of curry and all the food was cold, the dishes were miraculously hot which tells me they microwave the food. Not fresh food here.
The chicken had not been cut into pieces, a lot of connecting tissues and fat.
A fly in my sons drink.
My daughter showed a piece of hair in her food but we are hoping it was from us.
Two of us did not get there food (3-hours in).
When confronting the staff throughout the dinner, we were met with a hostile waitress telling us “what you want to do, you no want to eat food”.

Pro: the cold curry I had, had a decent flavor to it but the anger in the food is not something I would go back for seconds. So this place is a hard DO NOT DINE for me and the family.

If you do decide to eat here, I wish you the best of luck.

Scallops with bok choy. Scallops were undercooked and the dish came out 10 min before the spicy sole. Place was empty except for visiting navy officers. Hard for me to justify coming back.

Got the red curry with tofu. It was good and the service was great. The workers were friendly. I tend to choose Thai spicy for my spice level and I’m beginning to wonder if most Thai restaurants don’t think I can handle it so they make it less spicy haha. If that was the Thai spicy level then I would have needed quite a few more chilis!

Came in with my family for an early dinner and took advantage of the happy hour to order a delicious calamari. It was very tender and my dad likes their sweet and tangy dipping sauce.

We ordered pad thai (nice chewiness to their noodles), panang curry (nice lemongrass flavor), and cashew stir fried chicken. The meal was good, but the brown rice was very dry. Will order white rice next time.

One of the worst service and server I had all my 65 years. My wife and I ordered 2 Phat Thai and waited almost 20 minutes. (We were the first customers at the restaurant) Finally we got one not two, server told us the other is coming soon but I waited 5 minutes and went to the server, he was taking a order from another customer. And again he said it’s coming. I got upset and told him to cancel the order but he brought it anyway. He almost threw the dish on the table…. Of course I told him I didn’t want it. The attitude of the server was so terrible. I will never go back to this place again, ever.

I've purchased here many times to go because i work very very close by practically neighbors. And this time I wanted to eat inside and the man told me I could at the front and I sat down he bring me my fork for my pad thai. And a lady at the back was angry telling him something and he said I cannot eat here!! And I said what why??? Very confused since he initially said I could. And with a confused look as well on his face with no response. I left.

I don't know what has happened to this place. Wait staff has attitude and food has gone down hill. We had pad Thai and it was very greasy and we both got sick from it afterwards. It tasted like it was coated in cheap oil. Horrible .... Last time I was there before yesterday my food came after the other people at my table had eaten most of theirs. It's sad because the food use to be fresh and good before they were shut down by health department for health violations.

My husband and I were in town for the weekend. We had a craving for Thai food. The hotel where we were staying the young lady wasn't to familiar with area. Well, we looked online and found this place. OMG! It a small cute little place and the food and service was excellent. The staff was very attentive, even though, they were busy. The ambiance was great and lovely jazz music playing. When we come back in town again we will definitely stop here. Ordered Pineapple fried rice and potstickers, dry and seems that they are a day old. Pineapple fried rice has only two tiny pieces of pineapple. Potsticker is dried, seems to be fried since yesterday. Called the restaurant, explained that we have been ordering for quite sometime and never complained before.
The lady on the phone asked for us to bring the dried old food back in order for her to replace it. I told her I’m not coming back there because I’m tired. She offered to bring it only if we give the old dried food back.
Her concern was not that the food was bad. She only was concern about getting the dried out food back.
Not ordering from here anymore.

A quaint little restaurants in Seal Beach that we absolutely love a must go to in Seal Beach

The red curry and shrimp was amazing. So glad I went with spicy, the heat is perfect, not over bearing. The bacon wrapped shrimp on the sampler was also a hit for our table. There are so many items on the menu I want to try! I will be back many more times! Staff was also very gracious and attentive.

We had such a nice dinner with delicious Thai food. But I put one start because of their manager. After we paid our dinner he came to us with a question - Do we have a problem? He approached us in an extremely aggressive manner. My husband even asked back, what the manager meant, because nothing had happened. And the manager meant that the tips were less than 15%. He claimed that it’s a must to pay greater tips if we want to dine in next time. By the way, no word about that in the receipt. It says only “gratuity suggestion”. Also, the manager made an offensive comment that we are not from this city because we did not tip in the way he wanted. It’s rude. At the end of the conversation he threw the money on the table and said that we could take the money back. Wow! What a confrontation was created in a couple of minutes!!!
It’s the very first and last time we spent time at this restaurant due to such a horrible management service. The manager wanted to have more tips for the servant but left her without any tips at all because of rude approach to customers. Be aware that your evening can be easily spoiled by this manager.
If he speaks that way with customers, I can only imagine how he treats his employees……

Wonderful food. A great variety on the menu. Great servers. A lovely quiet patio out front as well as indoor dining. The egg rolls are terrific!

I’ve been eating here for the better part of a decade and the food quality has gone way down. The last few times I’ve ordered it’s been worse and worse. This time I ordered some Tom Yum and the soup literally had zero taste. I was confused and thought maybe it had been watered down or something. Zero flavor. Tried to add lime juice and some fish sauce to give it a little flavor, ended up throwing it out. No lemongrass or keffir lime or Galagal flavoring at all.

Really just not that great. Service was slow and inattentive/sloppy, didn't provide napkins until requested and not enough utensils for eating and serving ourselves with sharing platters. The food is also not particularly exciting. We had 4 appetizers and three different mains, none of which were particularly interesting. Not awful, but not packing much flavor either - it'll fill your stomach, but that's about it. I'd go elsewhere for Thai, e.g. Manaow Thai for their street food/small dishes in particular, or Thai District for their curries/noodle dishes. One bonus star for the location on the main street in Seal Beach, otherwise this is a 1/5.

Best Thai restaurant in Orange County!

The food is excellent. The service? Not so much. The only reason one should visit this establishment is for the taste of the food. The staff is rude, acts as if they are doing something worth more than cleaning dishes and handing out napkins. The smaller the mind the greater the conceit, I guess.
