We ordered delivery. I requested a 9/10 for my eggplant and tofu dish, but I’d say it was maybe a 3 or 4/10. Still tasty, though. The lemongrass chicken had many giant chunks of lemongrass in it, which were inedible. And they forgot to send our coffee, which was a bummer. My favorite item, however, was this tapioca dessert!! YUM! Overall, I’d go back. Maybe we’ll dine in next time.

Very tasty with friendly staff. Panang curry has a unique basil flavor, and the crunchy spring roll appetizer came out quickly and piping hot with a sweet dipping sauce. The building interior and entree plating was average, but I enjoyed the atmosphere and smells which felt very authentic.

The people here are very friendly. The lunch specials are very reasonably priced. The food is consistently good. The service was very quick also. I can go here on my lunch break and still have time to go to the bank and get gas. I go here about three times a month. Five stars.

Place had some pretty good entree salad with peanut sauce. The vegetable pot stickers are awesome. The curry I was kind of like 50/50 on it. Hole in the wall but I know what I like now and would go back again.

This place may be a hole in the wall but the food is excellent! Very authentic. I love their chicken pad Thai and the fried rice. Tom yum soup is also very good 👍

Ummmm.... Really? I ordered online, just clicked the "order online" button. There were no prpices for each dish until you clicked which protein you wanted to add. I ordered Hawaiian Rice which was $10.95, and the girl called me and.told me that was a lunch sized portion and they couldnt give me a lunch sized portion. I would have to pay extra. WHY DO YOU HAVE LUNCH SIZE PORTIONS ON YOUR DINNER MENU??? That is not my fault!! I guess they have never heard that the customer is always right.
So, I paid $55 for 3 entress and a soup. The soup was $9 and the smallest portion I have ever seen. On top of that, the food was terrible. The pad thai - chicken was totally dry and the.noodles were dry and stuck together. No peanut flavor whatsoever.

The fried.rice....probably the worst fried.rice I have ever had. Not "fried" at all. Chicken was dry and the rice was completely bland. I had to add sesame oil and soy sauce to be able to choke it down.

Avoid this place at all costs. Terrible food and terrible service and.not cheap. Yuck..
I hate to say it, but I feel like they may have sabotaged my food because I question tje up charge on the rice. Not cool at all.

Not really a place I'd go to dine in, but the food was superb.

We had the lunch specials; red curry for her, yellow curry for me. The lunch included a cup of soup, a bowl of curry, a scoop of rice, a fried spring roll with plum sauce, and a small bowl of cole slaw. This was a good, substantial lunch and I really enjoyed it. The proprietor was very nice and attentive. There were a couple of minor things that cost them a star. The soup broth was warm and tasty, but the mushrooms and vegetables had been just added and were still raw. The cole slaw had a dollop of dressing on top but not mixed in so the bottom 2/3 of the bowl was dry. I would still go back again and try more of their menu.

Family owned, I ordered from Darunee for an office i was providing lunch for. I figured Thai food was Thai food. I was wrong. Darunee was significantly better than anything I'd tasted to date. I highly recommend, and I will be going back soon.

All right so
chicken pad Thai- 6/10 very little chicken, A little wet, good overall flavor but not very satisfying because of the lack of chicken and wetness.
Chicken fried rice- 5/10 I love chicken fried rice normally, this is a little bland, The rice is stuck together and there’s almost no flavor.
Chicken on a stick with peanut sauce- 8/10 very good very simple, one thing that could improve it is your peanut sauce taste a little bit artificial.
atmosphere- 1/10 it looks very on organized in there, it needs a new paint job, The door pushes in instead of out in a tiny building like that it’s a fire hazard.

One of the best places to eat Thai food. It was recommended by one of my colleagues who is from Thailand. I come here for lunch on weekdays and have there lunch special.

Pad Thai, curry fried rice, spicy noodle and spicy fried rice are my favorites. The food is delicious and price is reasonable. The staff is very helpful.

There is limited seating, so sometimes you have to wait.

Best Place in Carlsbad to get yummy Thai Food.

They don't understand how to make authentic or "very" spicy Thai food! And look for utensils if you get takeout.

Love this little gem! Great food, reasonably priced. Usually get their lunch specials, but everything I've tried there is yummy. The khao soi took me back to Chiang Mai😍, haven't found it anywhere else in N County. If it was a little cheaper that's all i would ever eat!

My husband is Thai, so I've had a LOT of Thai food... my son and I agreed this place had the best pad Thai we've ever had. The pad ka prow was amazing too, and the papaya salad was also probably the best we've had. Great little mom and pop type place - will definitely go again if we're ever back in the area.

Great place for lunch. They have great lunch special deal that come with soup, salad, and mini egg rolls. The flavors are good whether you choose to go with curries, entree, or rice/noodle. Only caveat is that you want to arrive before noon. Lunch rush can add another 15+ minute wait for seats. Strongly recommended for anyone like Thai and spicy food.

Best hidden Gem in San Marcos!

Went there for lunch: the soup was watery, tasteless and cold. The portions are very small an the waitress is very rude.

First pad thai I've had in North county that tasted right. Chicken was a bit dry, though. Kitchen did look somewhat dirty as other reviews have said. Will probably continue to only do take-out there, and only when I want pad thai. Will continue with my other favorite Thai restaurant for everything else.

Great flavor.

Food is normally good but today I found a hair in my rice. I'm not one for complaining about my food so I didn't say a word to the staff. Lets just say I won't be eating there again.

A small "mom-and-pop" sort of place. I enjoyed the food, especially their lunch deal they offer. Not a whole lot of seating because it's sort of small, but everytime I go it's never super busy to where I need to wait a long time to be seated.

Food was good and reasonable.

Try the angel wings. They have a nice fish tank that kids like.

Pretty decent Thai food for San Marcos, CA. The spicy level 10 was more like a 6, which is always disappointing. Good flavors, dirty kitchen and semi-decent service.

If you like Thai foods, you should not miss this place. My son loves sea food Lad Na (gravy noodle). They made the best. I also like roasted duck spice (cinnamon,clove etc) egg noodle soup. I could not find any other place. Definitely recommended!!

My wife and I went to Thailand and lubed their food there. Since cumming back we have had a hard time finding a place that comes closer to the real Thai food. This place does the job very well. The Tom yum had the right spice in it. The pad Thai was done correctly. The spicy River was great. Come to this place is you want to get the real Thai flavor

It was a little awkward walking into the restaurant. No greeting really. Just "For here or to go?".
I got my go-to Thai meal: Chicken Pad Thai. Noodles were a bit chewy (maybe a little under-cooked). Flavor was great. 5 out of 10 spiciness was just enough to get my nose running which is perfect for me.
I'd come back if I were close, but it won't be my default Thai place.

I don't know who is eating here but this place has to be the worst thai food I have ever had. It wasn't good at all and I must have interrupted the cashiers lunch because she wasn't friendly either. I will not be coming back here there are so many thai food places to go now that are way better than this one.
