Modest restaurant with traditional Southeast Asian offerings for dine-in, take-out or delivery.
Thai restaurant at the end of the world (of San Francisco). I heard that this place has been a staple for locals for quite a long time. It is my first time I am here. As a Thai person, I can say that this place is legit! I am amazed by how quick and hot the food came out. I ordered the chicken wings and shrimp pad see-ew. You can see the steam came out. The chicken wings are heavenly crispy while they are juicy inside. The sauce is on the sweeter side. Pad see-ew is huge but I obliterated it all. I think there are more prawns that the rice noodle lol. That wok aroma is hard to achieve unless it is a legit Thai restaurant. Sri Thai is indeed a place I can trust for Thai food!
TLDR: takeout Thai food that had great flavor
I got a bowl of Tom kha soup that was a huge portion, we had three bowls out of the takeout container and the flavors of the coconut curry soup left us feeling very warm. The pad Thai had a good amount of sweetness without being too sweet, the texture of the noodles were just right without being mushy
We loved this lucky find! During the day we walked all the way from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Ocean Beach, starving by the end. We felt so lucky as we love Thai food and we managed to arrive to the restaurant before closing time. It was busy but food came quickly. The food was amazing, delicious. Highly recommend!
Located close to Ocean Beach and Golden Gate Park. First visit here. Place is small, however food and service were excellent. We ordered Chicken satay, Green Curry, Thai Fried rice and Pad ke mao. Satay chicken was tender and juicy. Fried rice and Green curry were very tasty as well. Pad Ke Mao was good. Highly recommend this place.
The appetizer of spring rolls was fantastic and so was the Pad Kee Mao. Great atmosphere and location. Quality of food is a 4, but with the great prices this place is easily a 5 and I’m not that big of a fan of Thai food.
I recommend this to both tourists and locals, please check it out.

Favorite Thai spot in the neighborhood!
I’ve had cashew chicken in a lot of places, but nobody, and I mean nobody, makes it like Sri Thai. That’s good eatin’.
Little gem out by the beach.delicious food and atmosphere. Nothing like it on a cold foggy night

Extremely good Thai place. The food was delicious. I ordered pra-ram, and it was the best I’ve tried! Spring rolls were also great
Loved the pad kee mao! Great atmosphere, friendly service, great price!

Great food and amazing cutlery!🍴 Recommend the green or red curry 🍛
Good authentic Thai food. Do try the tomyum soup. Limited hours of operation. Please check ahead. Street parking is available.
Highly recommended, delicious dishes, fair price, vegeterian and vegan friendly. The pumpkin curry was great and so were the salads and soups.
Great food place. We have been coming here for the last 5 years. Love the service. This time, we had to go. This time, we ordered pad Thai with shrimp, pad see you with pork, pumpkin curry with chicken and shrimp tum yum gum. Apologize for the spelling.
Pad Thai is a little on the sweet side. My son loved it. Pad see you is pretty good, love that heat flavor and not too greasy. The soup was pretty good. However, this time they forgot tomatoes in the soup. Curry pumpkin is a must have dish. Overall, food still good either eat in or togo.
Our daughter, who lives near here, recommended Sri Thai. We enjoyed it. We generally get Pad Thai at Thai restaurants, but tried different plates and enjoyed them. I had Ton Kha soup with Tofu,, it had lime and coconut milk. My wife had Chicken Pra-Ram, mild, I had Pad Cha Talay, which was a quite wonderful seafood plate with mussels, shrimp and eggplant in a mild (by request) peanut-based sauce. We shared one serving of brown rice. Bill came to about $50 ,which is very, very, reasonable considering the quality.
The atmosphere is not fancy, but it is clean and comfortable. Only 3 or 4 tables, much of their business seems to be take-out. Our server was very attentive and gracious.
Love staff, plenty of tables available during a weekend dinner hour. The food was great- our group shared a few dishes, my favourite being the Pumpkin Curry with tofu. The spice level was more than enough for the others, but I prefer my Thai extra spicy so the hint of it was almost enough. The vegetables in all dishes ordered were very fresh, and a large variety. Extra sides of rice were needed part-way through. Lovely spot, I’ll be back.
We got takeout here. The chicken pad thai was delicious!
I am a multi-decade customer of Sri Thai, and I've been loyal this long because of the consistent food and service. The best Tom Yum soup in the city, and appetizers and main dishes are great, too! Pleasant smiles and promptness characterize the service. Parking is normally easy as there are almost always free spots along Lincoln.
Take out ordered. Vegetables eggs rolls. With a little salad. Will go back and try different menu item's.
Hands down the best Thai food in SF. It's so damn good that it makes their location by the ocean and their 5pm opening time EXTREMELY PAINFUL. Their Tom Kha soup is practically nectar of the gods, but we order chicken because I'm not a fan of the vegetable selection in their Veggie version. The mushrooms in the soup are P-E-R-F-E-C-T. They are the only remaining Thai place in SF that hasn't gotten unbearably cheap with their Tom Kha mushrooms.
The crispy duck is our other favorite. I've gotten into the habit of asking for pineapple on mine (it was a staple topping at most other places but weirdly not here) and very very spicy. They seem afraid to lean into the heat on my dish so they just give me peppers on the side. I was raised on New Mexican cuisine y'all, please trust that I know what I can handle 🥺 I know you can make it spicier because you have in the last. Pepper on top isn't the same because it doesn't marinate.
So bland :(
I love this place, the food and service is amazing. The wait for seating is never too long. The calamari is fresh and the duck is deboned when you get it. Parking is hit or miss. Great location regardless. A nice place to have dinner after a day at the beach. Very walkable if coming from the park, beach or misc parking in Outer Sunset.
We love restaurants family owned and operated. Modest prices, good food, good service. Easy parking.
The people working there are always welcoming and very sweet! DELICIOUS THAI FOOD!
Came here because I was in the area, but it’s quite far from anything besides the beach. I had high hopes given the authentic and kind staff, however I wasn’t super impressed by the food. I had chicken satay that was okay. Not bad, but not the best. The musaman curry lacked flavor, but wasn’t bad either
Great Thai food.
I rarely write reviews but this place deserves it. Exactly the Thai food you’re looking for; for a great price. I always go if I’m in the sunset district and hungry.
Shout out to the woman/waitress who was waiting on the entire restaurant by herself and yet providing fast, great service—you’re killin it! This place fills up quick.
We have been going here for years. Haven't been here for 2 years. Nothing has changed. Everything was delicious. Spicy crispy Duck!
I’ve been to Thailand and this place is incredible and very underrated. Highly recommend!
Building is older, but the food is great and prepped quickly. The yellow curry was absolutely delicious!
Prices are double the ones in menu pictures . Good food though
Their red curry and the duck curry is a must try.
Try the Pad Himapan chicken for an amazing take on crispy chicken. Very quiet restaurant just off Golden Gate Park with reasonable prices for San Francisco. :)
Excellent food & service. Flavors are on the mark. Really authentic.
Recently my 2nd time ordering take out from here. I think food is good. Fast service.
Great food, great service
The grilled chicken was very tasty. It was my first time to get Pad Thai so i’m not really sure how it should taste or something. It was a lil bit sweet and good, but not to my liking. The server was very polite and friendly. Food was good but the place was kind of not that clean in some areas
It's a small little place food was good all in all not bad
Yummy, convenient and quick! Plus the veggies are always fresh :)
By far the worst i have ever tried. . .will never go tonthat place again.
Fantastic food and service!
Love this place. Everything is fresh & delicious. I used to come here 20+ years ago and came here for dinner when I was in town visiting. So happy I did. Just as delicious and friendly as I remember. Everything on menu is delicious. Tom kha especially tasty
It was yummy c:
Also I love how one of the signs was in comic sans
Not very good. Pad Thai lacked any flavour.
Wow! Awesome service, even better food. Will be back.
Best Thai in S.F.
Delicious food and extremely reasonable prices
Muy buena la ración y es comida muy fresca y sobre todo muy buen precio recomendable
Don't like ithhll
I got tamarind duck, my girl got green curry. Floral coconut flavor was really dominant in the curry, the take out container could have been fuller and a side of rice was extra. The duck dish was mediocre, I didn't taste tamarind either, and i thought the tomato chunks were weird. The service was fast though so maybe if you're at Ocean Beach and want an appetizer maybe it's a good place for a snack
Love the Pad Se-ew and thai tea!
Me and my husband have been ordering from Sri Thai for 6 years already at least once a month. The food was always delicious.
But now it changed. I don't know where to start.
We were in a process of eating it and it is so bad I had to stop, throw it away and write a review. That's how mad I am.I never do that.
Always always have been ordering almost the same thing .Beef Pad See Sew ,Peanut sauce with sticky rice,Fried chicken over Fried rice.
I've always told everyone they have the best Peanut sauce. Not anymore.
Looks like they've made it in the same pan where they were making curry!it smells like curry. It is disgusting.I am trying not to throw up.
And the container they give you used to be full.now its half full.
2.Chicken over Fried and falling apart and tastes weird.
We got extra sweet and sour sauce because they always give you a little bit of it with chicken anyways. Now they give you so little of the sauce (even the one you pay extra)like they stole it.
Unfortunately now going to order from there anymore. Its extremely sad but the food is not as it used to be.
If you reading this.If you fired your old cook and hired a new one it was a horrible decision. Get that person back and pay him/her more .The person who is making food in your restaurant now on the other hand should never be allowed anywhere close to food.
So so so sad.It used to be an amazing restaurant
Delicous!!!!!
Best pad se-ew in the Bay Area, and I would know
Great value. Tasty food. Nice location
Great food, great prices, great service, never really a wait, also deliver.
Delicious local spot
Most delicious Thai food near Golden Gate Park
Small portions but I tasted awesome.
Small, family run place that is reasonably priced with friendly staff.
Easily my top 3 favorite Thai restaurants
Quality spot, not super fancy, but great service and good food
Calm restaurant and very friendly staff. The meals, pad thai and tom yum, were great. More seasoning would be nice.
Meh.....
A hidden gem, good food, reasonable prices. We enjoyed it very much. Can’t beat location
Nice quiet neighborhood restaurant. I’ve been going there for years and have always been happy with food and service. On a date nights we like to sit in a corner on the raised section in back.
Food is pretty decent service not so much
Been going here for years the woman was so rude to me yesterday I will not be back
I should have asked your name
You've lost a customer
Love this place
Recently went there for the first time. Wow! Had no idea about this place and will be back.... Many more times I suspect. Everything was excellent.
Good food and service!
Parking is a nightmare 😫
Pesto pot stickers are sneaky good.
Great Tom ka
Had dinner mtg w/ friend & I arrived at 5pm when they opened but door was still locked. This woman inside looked at me, looked at her watch, walked over unlocked the door but didn't bother opening the door for me. I walked in & she turned her back never saying hello. Weird. In general, food was great but service was super slow & servers were not very friendly at all. There's plenty of Thai places in SF - I prob won't go back to that one.
Good service, good food. The medium level pad kee mow was not too spicy but tasted good which was good for kids and adults in our group.
Room was a little bit cold (sitting near window), one of our meals was cold too.Rice portion too small for 2 persons, reorder costs extra ... too bad.
Incredible food, many vegetarian options, good hot tea
Good food, quiet dining room, reasonable prices. Order the brown rice!
Very good Thai food, fresh and tasty. Will definitely come back.
Totally awesome.
Sooo good. Try the soups! Fair prices, too.
Small but nicely appointed restaurant with about a half dozen tables. Interior has a cottage feel with a split front door like a barn door, and a set of single paned windows that appear to open like shutters with cute porcelain handles. There is tasteful artwork and tapestries. Menu was clear and descriptive with a good selection. Thai iced tea was good. Tom Yum Kai had 5 nice size shrimp and was delicious. Pad Thai was good but a little dry for my taste. Krispy Duck with basil and peppers were generous and very flavorful but not greasy. Service was attentive. I will go back when I want good Thai.
They took the order and brought drinks to the table that came in after me when i was already there for a while.
This has always been the place I am looking forward to eating at. The food is very good, and the atmosphere is great! Everyone there is very nice, and very helpful. I personally always get the spring rolls, the pad se oh, and the Tom ka (sorry I'm not sure how to spell these) I would really recommend going here for a delicious meal!
The fact that this place gets a 4.5 makes me question society, the same way I felt when Trump was elected
Great Thai and sushi place. The service has always been good and the sushi has been superb. I've eaten different plates from here, including sushi, curry, and other plates, and they have always been tasty. Service is good as well.
AWESOME
The best Thai restaurant by ever.....food and service!!!
My girlfriend is Thai so she requested a fish lemon glass soup that not on the menu it was great!!
Love this spot
Cozy little place with good food. Just wish they had catfish curry; but what I ordered was delicious and promptly wolfed down.
Great food, value, and service!
I actually liked it. And they accept cards!
Authentic Thai
Pretty low price for the area, food was alright. Not the best I've had though.
Very cute and quaint location. We had the calamari which was very tender and the Tom kha soup with tofu as an entre which was thick and flavorful. The Thai tea was also just the right amount bitter to sweetness.
good food, good prices, fast service
While it isn't quite the standard of Thai food I would get in Thailand it is by far the closest I can get. Always consistent and very yummy. Best Thai in San Francisco .
Savory vegetable and meet dishes are best here.
Salads and soups are hit n miss
Nice neighborhood spot. Nice pleasant service.
Liked having brown rice option.
The Pad eggplant and green n yellow curries
Are good.
The soups with shrimp paste and Silver thread noodles was almost flavorless.
CAN WE SAY AMAZING!
Received raw chicken twice. I personally don't want to get sick so I'll avoid this place.
Clean and fresh great food
The service is super fast, and the food is always excellent. They often refill Your tea and check in with You. The environment is super cozy and authentic. This is my family’s go to spot for Thai in the Sunset, and I have been eating here for years. Not one let down.
A wonderful neighborhood Thai resturant in the Outer Sunset directly across from Golden Gate Park
It's okay. Cute, old place right near Ocean Beaches. The food wasn't bad, but also not spectacular. A great spot to stop after working up an appetite at the beach. I like my food spicy and it was far from it, otherwise, the fare was decent. Now if only they had a parking lot!
