Thai/Laos cuisine plus lots of dessert. Thai street food theme and hard to find authentic Laos dishes like “ Mok Pla” . Thai sausages are made in house and considered to be one of the best sausages in San Francisco’s Thai food seen. You have to check out our chicken hearts, gizzards, and livers skewers. Moo ping (pork skewer) is tasty and comes with sticky rice just like back home. We have one of the best tasting pad see u and pad Thai in town. Great for large parties. Finish the day off with dessert like a toast box (huge) or watermelon bingsu.
HORRIBLE PLACE!!!!
We went to ping yang for desserts, thinking that we would leave the restaurant with a sweet taste in our mouth. Unfortunately, that did not happen.
We had ordered the chocolate toast and to our surprise. The amount of chocolate and syrup put on the toast was absurdly low, and it was very disappointing. We could not finish the chunks of bread and it felt like we were just having bread on its own after a point. Then obviously, we had to get another scoop of ice cream and extra chocolate sauce for which we were heavily charged again. This was disappointing since the person in charge had told us that it would be their best dessert and really made us consider our decision to go into a place like that. The waiter was very rude and not at all friendly to the customers. I usually do not leave one star ratings, but sadly this restaurant has been one of the worst places that I have ever eaten and paid such a huge amount from my pocket and I would give them zero stars, please do not go here.
I ordered takeout for dinner from here and got the stir fried eggplant with tofu & veggies at the medium spiciness level. I also substituted the jasmine rice it came with for egg fried rice. The food arrived quickly and was nice and hot on arrival. Everything tasted great, and it was a good value for what l ordered.
Ordered the Thai tea crepe and mango sticky rice to-go. Both desserts were yummy—the Thai tea crepe was definitely unique with its marshmallow and corn flake toppings. Come here if you have a strong, strong sweet tooth! A bit pricey but they offer such an interesting range of flavors and dessert types, I think it’s worth it.
Service as sweet as the desserts! The Fried Nutella Banana dessert was absolutely delicious, refreshing, and decedent. The wait staff was particularly kind and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Highly recommend.
Highly recommend Ping Yang if you want to enjoy a delicious Thai meal. Everything was fabulous from the samosa, pad Thai and pumpkin curry.
To end on a high note, take a bingsu. They are to do for. The texture of the ice cream is amazing and it’s to tasty.
The service was also really kind and nice.
It looks like a high popular place which is understandable, they offer a large range of choices for meals as well as dessert.
We stopped in this late-night spot after walking dinner off and filled right back up. Service was super friendly and accommodating. We tried the jumbo grilled squid, chicken skin, and the roti cha Thai. Everything was made fresh and has great flavor and texture. The chicken skins were my favorite and actually complimented the roti really well. Excellent experience, would definitely visit again.
Cute little family-run thai spot. Really loved their duck fried rice and kor moo yang (grilled pork shoulder) - tasted just like home! Their somtum is also pretty good, on the sour side, which makes it really refreshing. Their desserts are also AMAZING, I’d come back just for that. Get the toast box and shaved ice, shaved ice is some of the best I’ve had in SF - super creamy, not icy like some other spots we’ve tried.
Had dinner at Ping Yang Thai Grill & Dessert came here because lots of nice picture of dessert on yelp but ended up ordering food. We ordered 3 menu which are lao papaya salad, Tom Yum Soup and pork jowl salad all are good like I could have had in Thailand. Will come back to try dessert for sure!!!!

I had an absolutely terrible experience with Ping Yang Thai Grill & Dessert. I ordered the Mok Pla (steamed catfish in banana leaf), and within hours, I became violently ill with what I can only describe as severe food poisoning. I have never experienced food poisoning before in my life, but this was debilitating—I was completely out of commission for nearly three days. I lost valuable workdays, was unable to work out or run, and was overall miserable due to a dish that was either old, improperly stored, or contaminated.
The banana leaf itself looked aged and possibly reheated improperly. I don’t know if the fish was spoiled or if there were issues with hygiene in the kitchen, but this is completely unacceptable. No diner should have to go through this. I’m seriously considering reporting this to the health department because food safety standards clearly need to be checked here.
I strongly urge other diners to be cautious when ordering from this place. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone, and I hope the restaurant takes immediate steps to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

Thank you, very tasty 😋
I usually order from here a few times a month, but lately the portions are smaller and the workers who used to be nice and helpful are now rude and barely speak english. This place used to be great

Great stir fry eggplant, especially for the price
Whoa. Blown away by the Mok Pla (steamed catfish in banana leaf). Huge portion of fish. Fresh dill, garlic, lime leaf, etc and thai chili for just the right amount of spicy (pretty spicy!). Also the chocolate roti with banana brought me back to Bangkok. Looking forward to trying more from here.
I got red curry and thai tea both were so bad and I couldn’t finish them. The stuff were so rude although the restaurant was empty and we were the only customers there. We drank from our water bottle and ate one piece of dried fruit while waiting for our order. They didn’t allow us to do that in a rude attitude and asked us to do that outside. I respect and understand the policy but the attitude was rude.
The food was really good, and I highly suggest trying this place. It feels nice and homey, like a family runs it. We ordered a bunch of stuff, like pumpkin curry, red curry, basil fried rice, pad ke mao, and lychee drinks. It was so tasty that we ended up eating all of it. Definitely coming back soon.
Worst hospitality ever
Great food and 10$ lunch special 👌
I didn’t try a desert so maybe that’s what the solid 4.6 rating is for but the yellow curry chicken and Tom Yum were very disappointing. Where is the Kaffir Limes leaves , galengal, and lemon grass in the Tom Yum?The waitress (who is Thai and very pleasant) said they couldn’t get authentic ingredients which I questioned. After I finished I walked around the corner to another Thai restaurant which listed these ingredients in their menu. She should have just said nothing. The curry had a good portion of chicken and green pepper but the sauce was lacking Thai flavour.
Really good Thai food spot for a good price.
The Pad Thai was just really really… sweet in an unenjoyable way. Would not recommend.
Highly recommend Ping Yang if you want to enjoy a delicious Thai meal. Everything was fabulous from the samosa, pad Thai and pumpkin curry.

The food is really good and the service too
Fried tofu is to die for.
Amazing eggrolls
One of the most affordable and authentic places that is one of my go tos when it comes to thai food.
Being located in a rough neighborhood, I want to support many of the local businesses in TL as much as i can. And ping yang is one I wish more people would frequent more. Their menu is large and expansive, they have great deals for lunch and other combos, and even a big dessert menu too.
I love the portions and you know a place is good if the takeout also has a big portion. My favorites are the pad see ew and thai fried rice, they have a lot of wok flavor and even spice when requested.
Keep it up and you guys are amazing and i definitely want to sit down and dine for their other dishes in the future.
Reliable Thai food, desserts, and drinks that's open late night. The proprietors are always friendly.
Very Kind , Delicious Watermelon Binju and Lychee Delight Drink, provided restroom👌👍.

One of the Worst restaurants that I have eaten at in San Francisco . Rude , Nasty attitude from their Owner and Wait Staff .
I always get yellow veggie curry with jasmine rice! Food is delish, service is A 1!
Great restaurant. Tasty food, the dessert was so delicious. Customer service was great! Would recommend!
I think I rarely write reviews for any place, but this place deserves its own review. Not only for its food, which is also worthy of merit and was absolutely delicious, but for the customer service. I was meeting a couple friends and we mainly had finger foods/bar foods, as well as sake (and a beer for me) - the chicken skin really hit the spot and it really popped with a touch of that (rice?) vinegar, as well as the chicken wings and the cartilege. The pork jowl bursts in your mouth with flavor, while still not being overpowering. A perfect complement to an ice cold beer or your alcoholic beverage of choice.
I was headed out with my friends and we had walked a couple blocks, until I saw a person running toward us - an employee from the store. I had forgotten my credit card, and he had run all that way to give it to me.
I would 100000% give 10 stars if I could, but alas. Google, you messed up - give this place the ability to have 10 stars.
EDIT: Thank you so much :) I really did appreciate it and was so touched.
My. 1st meal in San Francisco was from here. Did I make the right decision or what!!
Hands down best duck fried rice and Thai tea I had ever tasted. Trust me I have tried so many different versions of this combo.
It was so good this was our late night snack for 6 days. I even had to order 2 of these and asked for my hotel to freeze it so I can bring back home on the plan.
I am literally reheat it up as I am writing this review.
Can't wait to go back and order other food from the menu in person.
Disclaimer : we ordered Door Dash and never went to the actual restaurant.
we had the melon bingsoo! it was delicious and fresh. super cute interior (clean, well decorated) and the employees (possibly owner) are SO nice here!
It’s amazing 🥹
Very fast service, tasty ethnic food. Friendly staff are always eager to help.
The best: purple yam crepes. Lightly sweet and perfect for a sweet appetizer
The chocolate crepe and chocolate toast box were way too sweet and had too much Oreo which didn't go well with the softness one expects with a crepe. Chocolate sauce was also way too much in quantity. Would want to return to try the fruit based desserts.
Every time I eat there there is a single male staff member sitting directly across from me right in the middle of the dining room having a funny conversation with the cook and waitress. Weird vibes lol
The "mok pla" was cold in some parts and had dill in it! Gross!
Great food & owner is super nice! Also awesome lunch specials & Thai tea
I had the Pumpkin Curry with tofu and veggies, and it was delicious! Seemed a little more than mild spiciness to me (my lips were tingly XD) but definitely worth it. And my favorite drink, Thai Iced Tea. <3 And the staff were lovely as well. I can't wait to go back and try the desserts. :D
It taste just like my mother's food. This is my new favorite restaurant. 😍
I ordered Tom kha noodle soup. It was rice noodle, very thin and watery. My friends didnt like the movie as well.
This place has the best pad thai in all of SF! Not only is the staff excellent, the food is affordable, authentic, and delicious! Been living in SF for many years and will continue to come here over many other Thai spots.
PS - Don’t forget to ask for the dessert menu, highly recommended! :)
My Fiance and I absolutely adore this Thai Restaurant and Dessert menu is phenomenal. They are a fairly priced, made to order even if it's not on the menu but is requested.
i tried their delicious inexpensive lunch special chicken phad thai to go, staff are very friendly & courteous. I'll definitely will come back here again & again!
Amazing desserts and lovely service, thanks guys!
Great spot for pad Thai! Small place but it wasn’t busy when we went. They also have a great dessert menu as well. Great food overall!
One of the best late night Thai spots in town IMHO
They OG’s I’ve never had Thai street food until I went here some 🔥🔥
Love their fried bananas n chocolate crepes
Great place to eat
Came here for late night dessert
Parking around here can be a bit sketchy, but the store seems more than safe.
Have not tried the food yet, but it seems legit. You walk in, and posted on the center support beam is a menu only in Thai, then you hear Thai spoken behind the kitchen and behind you from the TV. The TV is playing a Thai channel, but at least it has subs...in Thai haha Will have to try their dinner selection one of these days.
Really enjoy the bingsoo and crepes here. The first place I had a Thai tea crepe. My sister seemed pretty happy with the watermelon bingsoo. Glad there's a good late night dessert spot in the city.
Vibe of a neighborhood restaurant and yummy choices
Great food will come again yummy
Comfort Thai food for the soul. The place is open till 11PM and serves very flavorful thai food. When you something filling and tasty at the same time, I'd recommend this place. They have a great selection of items on the menu. The beverages remind me of of a summer day in the jungle. They are very refreshing and i'd highly encourage you try them.
🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮
Nice food quick service the beef penang with garlic rice was very tasty
Great little find on my way Back to my hotel
Pik was lovely so welcoming and friendly - lovely service
Food wad quick and delicious Tom Kha Gai Soup and grilled chicken fresh and tasty
Delicious spot with many gluten free options. We loved the egg rolls and noodle dishes!
This place is delicious!! The foods is well prepared and delicious. The people are extremely friendly. Love this place!! It is refreshing to see that the menu is not your run-of-the-mill Thai menu. I highly recommend Ping Yang!!...Oh yeah, their desserts are super delicious!!
I found the restaurant a bit confusing as they offer both savory and sweet menu, separately. This shouldn’t have been an issue had the waiter asked us which menu we were going for. Instead, he gave us the savory menu, which left us confused as we thought they offered sweets. We had to figure that the menus were separate on our own and asked for the dessert menu. When we finally got to try their Chocolate Crepe, it was quite disappointing since the dish was just filled with whipped cream and not much else.
Consistent, tasty food, unique menu, good vibes. Must try.
Best fried rice I’ve had in a long time!!
Quaint little find. Food was great and the service was quick and friendly.
This place is fantastic! Solid menu, lots of options, quality without a huge price. A real gem
The best place to eat and relax
Food is great! Extensive menu for meals and desserts, a total hidden gem! The owner and staff are very friendly!
Pumpkin curry!
Nice food, amazing deserts and friendly staff. Always happy to come back!
Grilled squid tentacles were delicious. Mushroom larb salad was extremely salty.
Not good at all. I order 2 skewes for 5 dollar and as in the menu its written u can mix and match I ask the waiter if I could mismx the item in the 2 skewers I was buying (2x5$) he told me yes and he came back with 4 skewers and i just realize when they gave me the bill cause it was so high comapred to what i have eaten. The skewers are really small by the way. The waiter if your not thai can ubderstand half of what ur asking. Apart he didnt understand my question about skewers I had to repeat him 4 times that after I wanted nutella strawberry toast with icecream(just as its written on the menu). I even show him with my finger and still nothing. The desserts look big but they are poor on quality: they exceed with cheap ingredients like condensed milk but for things like nutella I will barely see them on the item u ordered. U are obliged to order icecream aside if u want them to taste of something: and I did. The only problem was that the icecream was so hard I could grab it!!and even the owner saw me causd I was pretty much pressing really hard on it..and she smiled!the spoon could not enter the icecream!walked out pretty upset
Great food at this local spot, their grilled meats are amazing and desserts are too notch.
Fun little desert cafe that happens to be open late and has some surprisingly good pumpkin curry. Would totally come back here for deserts, and definitely for the late night thai food cravings.
Very good Thai restaurant in tenderloin area, have a large menu options including fries chicken wings, cheesy corn optopus legs and skillets that are all good for alcohol pairing ! Waitresses are from Thai , chef is from Lao. Ordered so much food for three, got a nice long table to fit all the food. The waitress helped provided some suggestions:
Tried one of their set meal, choice of protein with choice of sauce and 2 sides. I chose pork shoulder with salted egg sauce with fries and rice or salad. The pork shoulder is so tender. 5
Griles chicken with salad, great flavor and refreshing ingredients with spicy lime dressing. Love tge color and presentation 5
Also ordered grilled pork skillets with sticky rice wrapped in lotus leave. Very good size. 5
Tried 2 of their appetizers, fried chicken wings and fried otopus ( little on the dried size) 4
Got so full but still tried their tgai crepe with purple yam and egg custard with Michell ice cream. Crispy outside and not too sweet. They were out of taro, will prefer taro but it was out. 4
Tried the dessert. Lychee Thai Tea ice was really tasty. Can't wait to come back for the food. So many things to try on the menu!!!
New Thai place replacing Little Henry... must try! The deep fried calamari taste great, thinly breaded with salt and pepper. Padthai topped with pork shoulder is great too! I took the food to go. The dining area is casual, service is incredibly friendly. Casual, super clean, super good taste and quality dining for amazing price :)
OMG, if you like Thai food, you will love this place. The best, most authentic Thai food I have had since going to Thailand. Everything was delicious, and yes, I had more than one thing, I am a big guy. It was very clean, the waitstaff were superb. I'm sure it helped the waitress was gorgeous. Anyway, I would have given them 6 stars if possible.
Great place for both meals and desserts!
My favorite window seat, and sweet dessert🥰
Had the Tom Yum soup, delicious!
Do you like fancy dessert?
Great food and atmosphere. Very friendly staff! My husband and I loved the beef short ribs, and of course the desserts. We tried the watermelon with shaved ice topped with vanilla ice cream, and it was delicious. We also went back a second time and tried their mango crepe, it too was tasty!
This place is a gem. We stumbled across it and it has such a welcoming, cozy ambiance! Really friendly and attentive staff, and also the food is delicious and beautifully presented. Had a bit of struggle choosing from the menu as there were so many good things to choose from. Will definitely go back!
This place thinks outside the box. Their grilled foods are reminiscent of street foods in Thailand and are a unique offering in the area.
Also, for people who like to eat non-American-breakfast foods in the morning: they offer real Thai lunch foods early.
We went here after lunch and just spotted this shop. Inside is a mixture of cute and modern but also retains some of the older elements of the building prior to renovation. We only ordered the crepe to share. It was packed full of whip cream and appeared aesthetically pleasing. The crepe tasted just as good as it looked. It definitely showed there was effort taken.
This a new place where Little Henry's used to be. The place is newly renovated; it is brighter, cleaner & more vibrant. Their menu options are leaner, thai fusion presented that would delight your sense of taste & sight. Make sure you leave room for desserts!
Very dirty bathroom when I went the poop was all over the thing man gross.
Great food and great service! Looking forward to coming back. You get a lot of food for your money.
Oh what a great find, delicious fresh food and the desserts are amazing. Excellent service, love it here!! You got to come!
I had the strawberry crepe and it was absolutely delicious! The staff was so friendly and attentive and made sure I was comfortable and that my food was good. Love this cute little find!!
Great service. The food and dessert were just okay. Pretty pricey for the bland taste. Good point about this place is it's open until midnight. Let's break down into each dish.
Northern Thai style sausage: the best of all 5 dishes we ordered. The right amount of herbs and tasted fine.
Grilled pork: could be tastier, what I didn't like was the choices of sides and sauces. We chose the original tamarind sauce, which came in a tiny cup and didn't taste authentic. If they would've served all the sauces on this dish, it would be better.
The side choices are mostly add on onto already pricey dish. It felt weird to eat fries with Thai grilled pork, but other traditional sides are $1&2 more expensive.
Yum Mama: had high hope, but they failed to cook it right.
Skewers are good. No complains.
Thick toast was disappointed for $13 price tag. It came with the green ice cream that didn't have any flavor.
